This is a great manufacturer coupon!!

$3 off Energy Start GE Smart LED Holiday Lights printable

This can be used anywhere, but right now the 50ct Micro Lights are $5.97 at Lowe’s before the coupon.

(thanks Thrifty Mama!)

    • Mina

Ewww! I’m glad I did some drastic mega downscaling before test printing.

People may, or may not, be able to use this at Lowe’s. Hardware stores aren’t in a business that routinely has MQ’s presented. Because the volume would be so low, it may not be cost-worthy for them to submit the q’s for processing.

I’m just saying that here so that people excited by automatically assuming they will take them, and then wind up getting upset at the register. It’s better to be pleasantly surprised if they do, than to be upset if they don’t.

      • Mina

Omitted two words in final paragraph:
“I’m just saying that here so that people [don’t get] excited by automatically…”

        • Tracy

I think I will just call my Lowe’s to check on the policy before I go. It would not be fun to get that kind of surprise after getting all the kids into the store in this weather!!!

    • Diana

I was the 627th person to vote for Jenny. Please vote for Jenny on the right hand side of her site under go vote. This is the only time she has asked for anything from us. There is another site that has 900 votes. Jenny really wants this! Come on girls let’s show her how much we care!

      • Lana

Okay, so I am still trying to figure out everything about this site and such…but what are we voting for? Just that we like her site? It says I have to register…what am I registering for? Thanks!

        • Lana

WOW, very unusual to run into someone with the same name as me! I thought-hmm I didn’nt post that comment! I couldn’t figure out the site to vote for Jenny. I’m not a techie at all.

          • Carrie

LOL… just look to the right and the button that says Go vote, click it. This is for Jenny to win better resources on finding us even more deals. I am ALL for that!!! : )

            • Monica

It was super easy to register and vote. I was number 700. I just opted out of receiving any newsletters and went straight to voting.

    • Brooke

Has anyone printed this coupon yet? How long is it good for? Could it be saved for Christmas Clearance?

      • Lynn160

It expires Dec. 24, 2009, to bad it can’t be used for after Xmas clearance.

      • MarySC

Expires December 24th. I had no problems printing it as is, my printer automatically shrunk it to fit a portrait page. It does print in the middle of the page, so you can use a 2/3 sheet.

    • Lana

We used a internet coupon at Lowe’s before…the only catch was the girl said we were only allowed to use one coupon per “transaction” even though we had 2 items and 2 coupons. She also said a lot of “blah, blah, blah” about coupons, most of it muttered under her breath that I couldn’t understand…but we did 2 transactions and she did take both of them. So, if I use coupons at Lowes again, I plan to do individual transactions… :-)

      • Hsv mom

My mom had the same problem so I called Lowe’s customer service and they said their policy is to accept manufactures coupons and that there is no limit per transaction as long as you have an item for each coupon. If you run into this situation, have them check with the manager.

      • Rachel

The coupon states “Offer limited to one purchase in U.S.A., its
territories and military exchanges.” so it is probably best to not even try doing separate transactions and just purchase one item.

    • Hsv mom

Is this an actual coupon from a site or is it a scanned copy? It says that it will not be accepted if copied. When I went to the site listed on the coupon, it said to the people of Minnesota, that you will get a copy of this in you bill or you can get it from you local coop. I am just asking because I don’t want to use a coupon that will be rejected by GE at a store where I regularty shop. If we all use this and they get rejected, it is just another reason for retailers to stop accepting online coupons.

      • Piper

I’m totally with you – VERY leary if this is legit. This is a PDF coupon and it is not on GE’s website. I’d rather err on the side of caution and not use the coupon than possibly be printing a color scanned coupon. We couponers ought to be VERY careful of this sort of thing. I’m not printing it or using it.

      • Mina

THANK YOU for going to effort get the probable source figured out! I was trying to determine whether I could use this and be 100% sure that it was a legit PDF. I’d only gone as far as checking the site that Jenny linked to. That one didn’t give the original source, either.

It is good to be wary of any pdf coupon posted on a site. Since I still can’t be sure that this one was ever released as a pdf by the original distributor, and can’t confirm that these pdf files can be legally transferred, and now that I’ve read your post, it appears that whatever way it was distributed, it was meant for residents of Minnesota, I’ll pass on this one.

The reason I’m so reluctant to just jump on things like this is because I did once make the mistake of thinking a q posted here was legit, and found out elsewhere after I used one that the code for getting that q had been illicitly distributed. The original was a legal q intended for winners who had bought the product, but we were obtaining it illegitimately. There was a very high print limit, and I destroyed the rest of the ones that I had printed as soon as I realized what had happened. Since then, I consider it an obligation to my own honesty to do what I can to verify that any deal I do is an honest one, and if I don’t feel confident that it is, to just pass it by.

I’m really not snotty or accusing anyone of cheating. Just pointing out that it’s easy for enthusiasm over seeing what look like good deals blind people to the responsibility of making sure they are legitimate offers.

Wow! Vote for Southern Savers!! Was third place and now in Second place and gaining votes!!! The contest ends tonight at 7pm. It only takes a minute to sign up. The link is at the top “Love Southern Savers??” Come On Everyone VOTE VOTE VOTE!!! Show Jenny we can do this together and she can WIN this!!! This is the least we can do for all her hard work. Thanks Jenny!

      • Carrie

I am utilizing all my resources like I do when I want those valuable coupons : )

Just emailed the link to hubby so he will help this go a little farther.

      • Wendy

I just voted. Thanks for the reminder. Jenny deserves the award for sure. It was quick to register–just email and password and name–faster than registering for coupons.

Vote vote! She needs 200 more votes to pull into 1st place by TONIGHT at 7!

    • Jason

Lowe’s does take manufacturer’s coupons, but their system does not scan them. The cashier must enter them manually, which is probably why some of them don’t like doing them.

Also, note that the GE LED mini lights at Lowes are packaged with a $10/50 future purchase coupon. They’re already better than free if you plan to make a $50+ purchase at Lowes any time in the next couple of months.

    • Andrea

OH! Wish I’d had this yesterday. Kroger had all their lights 50% off on a one day sale. Different regions are doing the one day sale on different days. If anyone’s Kroger is doing that one day sale today instead of Thursday, it would make a great deal!

      • Michelle in Martinez

Maybe we should hold onto this coupon then…surely other places will mark down the lights before Christmas, right?

      • Peggy

Our Kroger’s one day sale is today…yeah! the 50 count mini lights are 4.99, so after coupon just 1.99!!!

    • Michelle in Martinez

I just voted and made it 719! :)

    • Jan

Just voted #736. Hope you win Jenny. You deserve it!

My boyfriend just signed up and voted and it was up to #777! We still need more votes for Jenny to win!

The Kroger in Lebanon, TN has these lights 50% off today only. The 50 pack of the smaller bulbs is on sale for $4.99…making each pack $1.99 with coupon! 80% off!

    • Stacy

I voted! Thanks Jenny for all the help each week!

    • Carrie

I go to town, come back and she’s at 1030 votes. I think a portion of southern women got off work and are voting now! : )
It took a HUGE leap and I hope it continues to climb. We will totally benefit from her winning.

    • it wont let me click on the GO VOTE blue box…why?

    • I’m terrible trying to guess what my nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives want for Christmas. I also dislike sending money even if the bills are fresh, crisp and in a nice bank envelope. But everyone likes money and Amazon sells everything, so why NOT buy anyone an Amazon Gift Certificate? You can send one for any amount by E-mail or print one at home and include it in a nice card or (my favorite), buy a Gift Card made out to the relative and send it to myself, where I can include it in a nice Holiday card. This is the perfect gift!

    • TONYA

Does anyone know if this will work @WALGREENS for there b1g1 $9.99
      (2) q =3.99 for 300 countled lights for outside?
      Thanks Tonya

      • pharmSCgirl

No b/c the ones at Walgreens aren’t the GE brand. It would be a good deal though if they were. Lowe’s may be the best place this week to get them, since I couldn’t make it to kroger.
