This is a reminder that you can get (2) FREE tickets for admissions to the Museum Day Live! event from Smithsonian Magazine.

The event takes place on Saturday, 9/22. Several participating museums across the country open their doors to anyone presenting a Museum Day Live! ticket.

Here’s how to get your ticket for two:
  1. Head over here and check out the participating museums in your area.
  2. Find a participating museum, click Get a Ticket, and complete the registration form.
  3. Your ticket will be available in your email or by clicking Download Ticket after you submit your info.
  4. Print and bring your ticket to your selected participating museum on 9/22.

We did three years ago while we were on a trip to Atlanta (for one of many drs appts).  I got two with my email, my husband got two more and the whole family enjoyed a FREE day at the train museum in Kennesaw.  It was a fun family day and even more fun to not pay anything!

Is there a direct link? It’s kinda confusing….it’s asking me for all this information and pictures of my local museum. I don’t have all that information. Help!

      • DeAnna Goen

I didn’t have to do all that. I clicked on the link that said “museum day live” and it took me to the Smithsonian page. I did have to create an account and then I clicked on tickets. Pretty self explanatory after that…

I had problems too! I clicked tickets, created account, it asks you to edit account, then dashboard has nothing about tickets. Just add your museum like we’re the owner or something. Confused!

    • Stephanie Zumo

I could never get it to work for me either. Just went to the place I created an account no matter how many times I tried to click on pick tickets. :-(

This link is for registering your museum as an owner for the museum to participate.

Worked fine for me! Tickets were not available unitl 8/15 so maybe it wasn’t active yet?
