This post may contain affiliate links. Read our disclosure here.

This is the first in a weekly series to help you find the best price on common items between all the Southern Savers stores.  Since I stockpile (as you all should) I rarely have something that we need so starting this list was a little hard.  If you know of something I should add let me know.  I will try to include a few stores under each heading for those that don’t have every store in their area, if there is only one store mentioned then that item is really not on sale anywhere else.

To find the Top Deals for the week go here. (Free or pennies)

To find any coupons used go to the weekly post for these stores using the buttons below the Southern Savers header.

Jenny!!! How I thank God for finding your site!!! This is just another blessing!!! It will make it easier for those of us newbies to see what really IS a good price!!! Thanks a million!!!!

    • Betty

You have done such a great service to everyone and I want to thank you for all your hard work. It is greatly appreciated. I too stockpile, but the one thing that seems kind of hard to stockpile is coffee. I don’t even care what brands I get, it just seems like it doesn’t go on sale. Any suggestions? I shop at Publix and Kroger. Thanks.

    • Jenn

Betty, if you are near an Ingles, they have 8 o’clock coffee BOGO this week. There is also a coupon for $1/2, but it XPs TODAY. I got 2 bags of coffee for $3.88.

    • Amy

LOVE IT! What a great idea. Thanks, Jenny!

I don’t care for Folgers, Maxwell and the other coffees in the can. My favorite is Dunkin Donuts, but it is usually too high. I buy 8 o’clock coffee when it goes B1G1 at Publix (or just recently at BiLo). I think it is $5.99 or $6.99. You can find $1/1 or more likely $1/2 coupons.

    • Delta

Again thank you! I’ve been trying to determine good prices on meats, etc and when to stock up. Especially pork chops, ribeyes and lean ground beef.

    • wendy

Assorted pork chops are on sale at Winn Dixie this week B1G1 free $3.29 for 2lbs. which makes it $1.65lb

    • crystal

Thanks Jenny! What another great idea!!

    • wendy

Jenny this is a great idea, thank you. I just wanted to add to my above comment that boneless chuck roast is also on sale at winn dixie B1G1 free $4.39 for 2lbs. That would make it $2.20lb. I always buy my meats at Winn Dixie when they go on sale.

    • MelRae

Just when I thought SouthernSavers could not get any better…you do this! Oh, and I like your top grocery deals, too!

    • Lilfroggin

Thank you so much for this new addition to your website. I am still quite new to all of this, but I have found your website to be so useful. This is just marvelous! Thanks for all you do. :)

    • great list. I love this idea.

    • You are amazing. Thank you for all of this. Your button is on my blog.

    • Amanda

Thank you so much!! I am still learning to stockpile. It can take a while to figure out how much to buy and how often certain items go on sale. I cringe when I know I am paying too much for something that my family needs. This will be a very helpful feature for many of us.

    • Becky

Brunos is having a special 3 day sale as well as triple coupons May 1, 2 and 3.

    • Becky

Brunos will triple coupons up to .55 cents. This would be a great place to use those .55 cent coupons that usually can’t be doubled.

    • Brandi

I don’t have any of these stores in my area, but I shop at Homeland and go before 9 am to get the reduced meats that were cut the night before. I usually get it 1/2 price or lower. They tend to mark down the lunchmeat and sausage and dairy products also at this time. I also use Pilgrim’s Pride coupons for chicken (whatever’s on sale) and Hormel coupons to get the tenderloins on sale usually getting it for $3.99 for a 2lb tenderloin!

    • i got spaghetti at harris teeter. 88¢ each and had a coupon for $1 off 3 (printable at http://www.pastavalue.com) 55¢ each, i think that’s good, and i need spaghetti!

    • Jenny, this is EXTREMELY helpful! YOU ROCK!!! Every so often when we run out of TP (and paper towels), I start looking for who has it on sale that week since someone always does. Now I can just reference your website! You’re awesome!

    • Maehing O

You have amazed us all ONE MORE TIME!
      thanks soooooo much!

    • Lindsey

Jenny, thank you as always for a wonderful post. I hate to admit, I cannot be without paper towels. Now I can find the cheapest!

    • Angela

What a great idea!! I’ve been stockpiling, but sometimes I lose track.
Need some meat now, missing the $1.99 lb Tyson boneless/skinless already!
HItting Walgreen’s for TP tomorrow, after Bi-Lo and Kroger.
I “save” my Publix shopping for Sun/Mon so I get the penny item.
Any word on the new Green Advantage Buys?

    • Elizabeth

Publix has some varieties of Kellogg’s cereals for 1.99 this week. With the new Kellogg’s coupons at coupons.com ($1/1), I was able to get Kellogg’s Raisin Bran and Special K (all varieties) for .99 cents a box.

Thank you so much for putting all this together every week. I would’ve never gotten started without your site. Your work here is truly a gift to all of us!

    • Tracy

Your site is so awesome! How do you know what price to stockpile at? Do you have a list of stockpile prices, and when they happen?

    • Shawn

BiLo has pork loin BOGO free. the ad says save at least $4.39 pound on 2. Do you think that is a good price or stock pile price?

    • tonya

      hello friends,

publix has lysol toilet bowl cleaner 2 for $4. i was able to print two .50 off/1 coupons at http://www.homesolutionsnews.com. publix doubles any coupon 50 cent or less…making the cleaners $1 each.

    • tonya

sorry that link doesn’t work. that is the website on my coupon.

      try http://www.lysol.com

      that worked.

    • Special K cereal is a great deal at Target this week!! $2.39/ea, buy 5 and get a $5 gift card. Use $1/1 coupons on each for 6.95oop and $5 gc back :)

    • Catherine

Thank you for this!!! This is really helpful for those times when, as you say, need it and can’t wait for a sale! The only thing I would request you add is milk. We always need that and I can usually figure the best price, but for instance, this week, you can get free milk at Publix when you buy three General Mills cereals, but milk at Kroger is $1.99. So that would help to decide if you want free plus cereal, or just $1.99 for the milk!

    • Ash

      GREAT idea! thanks so much!

    • Julieann

Great idea….thanks for the hard work you put in!

    • Leann

Thank you so much for this website!!! I go to it almost everyday. I REALLY like the “Need It Now” post. Since I have been couponing, I have had a hard time finding the best deal among ALL of the different stores. This really helps me to decide where to go. As a working mom, I am limited as to which stores I can go to in one week. This is very helpful. Thanks for ALL you do!!

    • kelly

Love this post!! Thanks so much…

    • Meg

    • This is a great idea. Thanks! :)

    • Rebecca

this is a very valuable and useful addition to the site- thank you!

    • Jennifer

great site! Are there any coupons for Devrom chewable tablets? I love this stuff…
