2009_upromise-ecoupons250x250Upromise has loaded new eCoupons.  They have over $48 dollars in coupons this month. Load them now and have them saved for any purchases during the month!

These are a little different than the other e coupons:

  • You can use them at almost any store!
  • The money does not come off at the register but is put into your Upromise account.
  • Load as many coupons as you want, there is no limit.

Why use Upromise eCoupons?
Normally when you buy something that gives you money back for college it gives you .03 -.10 cents.  With the eCoupons you are
significantly increasing the amount saved.

Can I use a coupon too?
Yes! These are not tied to coupons or discounts in the store. They are rewards from the manufacturer for using Upromise and buying their product.

I don’t have a kid…
Not a problem. We had a Upromise account for almost 2 years before our kids were born. Once we had kids we went in and changed it our of our names to our kids names. Grandparents can also sign up and have it go to their grandchildren! We have 3 sets of grandparents all saving a little bit for our kiddos. You can change the beneficiary at any time.

How much can you really save?
Well, you aren’t going to send them to Princeton just from your savings, but it can be a nice chunk of money by the time they get there. It depends on how much you remember to use their system. We have been a member for almost 6 years and have over $3000 saved. Since we have 3 kids this won’t go very far but it is $3000 that we didn’t have to dig up to save. (No it’s not all from e coupons, they just started the e coupon system last year.)

I recently opened an account & was wondering if someone could clarify something for me. What if you buy multiple items? For example if I bought 10 bottles of Glass Plus- would that be $7.50 saved? Thanks!

      • Each coupon can be redeemed only once per month (and then you can load a new set the next month), so you’d only get $.75 no matter how many bottles of Glass Plus you buy. I started a few months ago. It’s slow-going, but I’m gradually picking up steam. I redeem a few dollars a month in ecoupons, which is better than nothing. And Publix frequently has sales on the Upromise matchups.

        • A friend of mine told me last week that when she looked at her receipt, the Upromise coupons came off, but nullified all other coupons she used in the process. The cashier told her it was the new way they are doing it- since they’re both MFR coupons. Any thoughts?

          • Beth

I was wondering the same thing. What if I have an awesome paper coupon that I can use at HT during triples, but I have added a upromise coupon for the same item on my HT VIC card, but a different value?

          • The Upromise coupons shouldn’t show on the receipt at all. They don’t come off the total charge; the coupon amount gets deposited straight into your online account, and usually takes 2-4 weeks to show up online. Maybe it was some other ecoupon that came off at the register, and negated the other coupons?

          • Jason

It might have been an e-coupon or cellfire or something. Those come off at the register but I have never heard of them canceling paper coupons. But the Upromise coupons DO NOT come off in any circumstance as that would be a violation of the terms under which Upromise operates. They are meant to “save” for college expenses not lower your grocery bill.

How do you redeem at Publix since they don’t have a loyalty card? I registered my Bi-Lo, Ingles, and CVS cards, but I am new to this and don’t know what to do about Publix.

      • Sarah

Publix has a upromise card that you can sign up for at the register.

    • Does anyone know if the $$ could be used, for like- private school tuition, before college? Just curious! :) M

      • Marina

you request a check and use the money for whatever you want

    • Heather

With the Publix Upromise card, do you have to activate it? I was handed the card with nothing to fill out & no instructions. Thanks

      • Yes, they should have told you. You have to go online to activate the card before you can start using it. And, once you load the ecoupons to the card, there usually is a delay before you can redeem the coupons. Some ecoupon sites say it takes an hour; some are 24 hours; some say they’re available immediately. I can’t remember what upromise says. Just make sure you pay attention if you’re loading coupons (and remember to click on the “activate my ecoupons” button for upromise) and then plan to start shopping immediately.

        • Sorry, I realized my last sentence might have been a little ambivalent. If you plan to start shopping immediately, make sure you pay attention when you activate your upromise ecoupons, so you will know if they’ll be available within an hour, within 24 hours, etc. You don’t want to load them, head out the door and then realize there is a 24 hour delay before they’re recognized on your card. (Regardless, it’ll take a few weeks before the redemption shows up online.)

      Thank you for the reminder.

    • Misa

I haven’t been able to log in in my Upromise account this month. I always get white screen after log in. Cannot download any ecoupons! Can somebody help?

    • AManda Sali

I cannot login either…getting white screen on upromise. Help!?!?!

    • DC

My Upromise account doesn’t show any of these coupons for this month. There are just 4 coupons. It did show all of those coupons about a week ago, which I thought were from last month. It was also real glitchy , like loading one coupon at a time when I clicked to show the next page. But as of right now there are only 4 coupons totaling $3.50. Is anyone else getting something different?

      • They loaded 4 new coupons…. I think you had to activate the others at the beginning of the month to get them. These are a “bonus” 4 if you already loaded the monthly coupons. I guess if you didn’t load them you have to wait until next month?
