Office Depot released an awesome coupon today for 40% off any one item!  This is only good today and tomorrow (1/14 or 1/15).

Not valid on technology, HP ink, gift cards, or shipping.

Don’t miss all the other retail coupons good this weekend.

I like to use coupons like this to score a discount on K-Cups for my Keurig!

      • LD

That is what I use most of mine for too. And the other office supply stores will take competitors coupons . So if I am out and about will get a couple of boxes when a good coupon comes along . But this time I think I am going to get some TP . I missed cvs this week and need some lol

        • Kristaferguson

Does anyone know if you can use it on the actual Keurig machine? I called and asked the store and they didn't know, they said I had to bring the coupon in to see the system would let it work.

          • Amy B.

It specifically excludes “consumer electronics” so I don't believe you could use it toward the machine.

    • Hansdreber

      Would it work for CD-Rs?

      • Jenny

My store says CD-R's and DVD-R's are media and won't let me use any of the $/$$ coupons. Bummer!

      • LD

States not good on media so I am thinking no .

    • Amy Hankinson

what about ink for a canon printer?

      • Srhine85

It seems like only HP ink is excluded, which seems to be the case for most office supply coupons. That is one reason I didn't buy an HP printer.

      • Ssklayman

I asked when I checked out (I was getting a storage caddy) and she said it looked like I could use it on any other type of ink. I wasn't actually purchasing any and you never really know until you do it, but it looks like you can get any type but HP! Thats great, cause I just got a Brother printer for Christmas!

      • Jenny

Used on Brother toner about 2 hours ago.

    • Barneyjen

HELP! I can't get this coupon to print in full. It prints just a small portion then spits out the rest as a blank page.

    • Tina Smith

I'm assuming that I couldn't use this to buy a new printer. I need a new printer. I have an old HP printer. The ink cost over $30 each and HP ink is always excluded!

      • Emily

We have an HP printer too, and the cost of ink is ridiculous. I started doing Ebates after reading Jenny’s posts about it. There, we found inkgrabber.com where they have practically every printer model listed (our hard to find HP too). You can purchase new, or you can buy the “remanufactured” ones, which we have and are happy with. Not only does Ebates give us about 13% ($8.34 in this case) back, there was a code if you spent a certain amount, you could get free shipping, etc. We got 3 black ink cartridges and 2 color cartridges for a total of $66.75. I guess if you were to subtract the $8.34 from Ebates, we spent $ 58.41 for 5 ink cartridges. You should take a look-Good deals on there!

My husband mentioned something about a new printer from Kodak I believe and the cartridges will only cost $5….check into that one maybe.

    • Does anyone know if you'd be allowed to use a $10 off 50 coupon along with this 40% off one item coupon? Thanks!

      • Car3fan

my office depot only allows me one coupon per total purchase. last week i had the $10 off $50 plus the $1 off HP paper, and the cashier told me i had to choose which coupon to use for my purchase. (No brainer, there!)

    • meme

I am getting a message of Bad Request on my screen when I click on the Office Depot coupons. Anyone else having this problem?

      • Marilyn

me too for quite a few hours now.

    • Haskinsbethany

does any one know if this can be used on office furniture?? if so AWESOME!!

    • Marianne

      Are cameras considered “technology?”

      • LD

Yep at my store they are and if not, it sure is an electronic .

      • Elizabeth

OD is so weird on coupons anything and everything will fit into one category or another, you really have to question everything before you purchase.

    • Jamiectownsend

This link isn't working. Where can we get the coupon from?

      • Sign up for their emails, and you will automatically receive offers like these.

    • Eae1959

Going today and will try and use $10 cpn as well on brother toner…….We'll see if this idea works.

    • Amy

If you are looking for computer paper, HP has a huge box on sale at Office Depot with $20 rebate; we used the 40% off and will send in the rebate and end up paying about $7 for 10 reams of paper (5000 sheets). That's less than $1/ream!

    • Lbauer1979

I took the Office Depot coupon to my Staples store last night and bought the $46.99 case of paper. I paid $28.19 after the coupon and submitted the rebate for $27.00. That means I ultimately pay $1.19 and after my Staples 10% reward, I will make $1.62! Now that's a deal; I have paper to last a long, long time.

    • Motcmom

With all the fine print, seems like it would have been better for them to list what you CAN use it on……

    • Holly

It says that it excludes HP ink, but OD carries their own brand of HP ink. So I got 2 “generic” ink cartridges for my HP printer for $16.15 after coupon!!

    • Jennifer

We really needed an office chair for our desk. We found a really nice one. It had been $99. Office Depot had marked it down to $55. We used the coupon and got it for around $35. Sweet deal!

    • redandgreen

I am not a big “couponer”, but am learning — this one really helped with the motivation! Printed off 2 just in case. Used one on a desk I've been eyeing for months — got lucky when I went in — it was on sale down from $130 to $100 — used the coupon to get it down to $60, used a rebate cash card and other store points to get it down to $36 out the door — in total it was a $103 savings — woo hoo! They even let me use the 2nd 40% off coupon on another purchase and told me that I could call in to possibly get my expired store credit points renewed — didn't think that was going to be possible — I love saving! Thanks Southern Savers! I'm new here, but am thinking that I'll become a loyal follower. Thanks so much!
