Price matching at Target and Walmart — for example the Office Depot Eraser Caps — can you get the Walmart/Target brand for the same price?

      • Julie

I do not think that the store branded items will be price matched. They have to be “exactly the same item” and can not be a B1G1. The name branded pens and sharpies ect… will work. I price match all the time at Walmart.

      • Amy

I've price matched store brand items before at Walmart with the generic brand at Walmart. Never had a problem with it. They won't do B1G1 though.

      • grace

not really, depends on the manager, the publix manager in 'my' publix said no, the next publix said they would do it

    • Beth

Office Depot will also price match. For example, last weeks ad for the paper, folder etc was not advertised in my area (Gastonia, NC) so I printed the ad from a random zip code where it was advertised (turned out to be somewhere in Mississippi) and took it to my store. They matched the price on all of the sale items. They have a copy of their price matching policy on their website. It says they will refund the difference if you find a lower price within 14 days. Gotta love that!!

When it is stated ” free after max perks” as was for this week's flyer 7/18-7/24, how do you get them free? I have the max perks card, get the rewards for returned ink cartridges, but do not have dollars accrued otherwise.

The last time I tried to price match the loss leader deals at Wal-Mart, I was told no. Has that changed? This was about a year or so ago.

      • grace

Walmart does match prices, but she told me, if you are matching something from CVS, you have to have your CVS card, if Bi-Lo, you have to show them Bi Lo card but she was pretty nice about it and price matched it. They only don't match B1G1 prices and you ahve to have the flyer too

    • Jen

I don't miss working there at all this time of year! Lord people would get ugly over the last nickel rulers or penny bottles of glue. Take a deep breath if they are out of stock and price match at Walmart! Times are tough for us all, thank goodness for the money we save with Southern Savers and coupons.

I am in Cumming GA and got looked at like an alien when I asked at both Walmart and Target regarding price matching. Target was even snotty enough to laugh and say “we aren't the sort of store to price match” at the customer service desk. I very rarely shop there now!

      • That's terrible! I would suggest printing out a copy of Target's price matching policy linked below. If you still have issues, call corporate–they will get the issue sorted out!

        • millie

isn't there a red phone at the front of the store that you can get in touch with corporate on immidiatley just for issues like this?

Does anyone know if calculators ever go on sale(like TI-84)?

      • aczek16

Same here! I need a TI-84 Plus Silver Edition Calculator this year. The best deal I have seen is at Target (ends today, i think) for $97; but I'm hoping for an even better deal! :))

        • millie

i just got my OD sale paper this morning and on the back page it says that the TI-84 Plus is 129.99 before a $10 mir and then it says you can get a $25 trade-in instant savings. good luck!

    • Heather

Does anyone know how there buy one get one frees ring up? Can you use only 1 coupon or 2?

    • SCMama

The Expo Washable Markers are not included in the B1G1 sale. Bummer.

    • Laurie

I have to share this with you. We were looking for a new computer and checked online and found that Office Depot had a great deal for a Toshiba with 4GB for $479(it included a $120 discount). Through searching your links for office supply stores I found that Staples had a $50 off coupon if you spend $200 or more and it covered technology(expired Saturday 24Jul).
We went to our local Office Depot in Thomasville, Ga. and the wonderful manager, Vicki, located the computer at one of their other stores. She's having it delivered to their store and she accepted this competitor's coupon. So we are getting a brand new laptop for $29(plus tax). Thanks ever so much for making it easier to find deals!

      • Laurie

Oops. Somehow there was a typo for the cost of our new laptop. It's $429 not $29. Sorry!

    • Smaples23173

I am new to office depot…How do you submit for the rebate on the copy paper? thanks in advance!
