      Ordered mine…and shipped free!! :)

      • Kalli_jean

I just signed up and am having trouble figuring out how to order it online. How do I find all the qualifying items and is there free shipping with a certain amount purchased? Any help you can give me would be awesome. Thanks!

        • Couponinglauren

I went to the home page and over on the right hand side it will say exclusive offers or something like that. Click there and it will pull all of these offers up.

        • artmommy222

If you spend $50, there is free shipping.

    • Mommy_and_blake

I just signed up… but Im confused… How do i get these items free? Just use my rewards card in the store and its free?? Im new at this LOL…

      • flower_mom

Yes, you use your rewards card in the store, but you have to pay for them then. Then…weeks later, you will receive a rebate card that you can use in the store…I believe that is right, right? :)

    • Sandra

Whats really annoying for me is that about 1/2 the items are unavailable. There isn't a store anywhere near me so I get it shipped and they insist (it seems) on using the nearest store which is out of stock on like 1/2 the items (this time and the last time they did this). I really want the tubs and some other things!!! Argh, how can they be out mid-day the first day of the sale….

      • liz_in_SC

Merchandise is not shipped out of the stores…but out of the warehouse/distribution centers. Stores inventory will have no bearing on your order UNLESS you mark it for in-store pick-up (meaning you go to the store to pick up yourself instead of having it shipped.) It is likely a distribution balancing issue due to allocation to stores first. Try again mid-week.

    • Uncharch7

With the rewards, when it comes, do you have to use the entire value of the reward in one purchase or is it like a true gift card you can use over multiple purchases?

      • Chelly

They are issued once a quarter and they have an expiration date. But they give you plenty of time to spend them and no you do not have to use them on one purchase. Just as long as you use it before the expiration date. They also will give you $3.00 per empty ink cartridge you bring to them. I have received quarterly reward cards up to $60 before and ended up having to spend it on misc items just to use it all up.

    • Sandra

You know what I realized immediately AFTER click SUBMIT on my order…shopathome.com has 2% back on office depot ;) Oh well, others should use this tho!

    • Rrbarr

Okay, just signed up. It says on Home Depot website limit is 2 of each item per customer per day…..does that really mean that???? So tomorrow I can order 2 of each again, and the next day, etc. Also, does anyone know if the binders count as 2 for ANY color or 2 for EACH color? New to this so any help would be greatly appreciated!

      • Sandra

Should be each color because they have different UPC/barcode numbers and they are listed separately – there isn't a scroll down bar in the items window for color, size, etc. So I think they are separate. I haven't ordered the binders and the totes are never available in the stores near me :P. You can always call cust serv. which I HIGHLY RECOMMEND when doing these tricky deal things.

        • Rrbarr

          Thanks Sandra!

      • Alison V.

they track it using your rewards card. so you can only do multiple deals if you have multiple cards.

      • 3bettins

the last time they did this each item counted as an item as long as it had a different item number- so, yes, each color is a separate item and, yes, you can do it every day! even if you don't have one near you shipping is free with a $50 purchase. I just got my new e-reader thanks to them- and now I'm getting new camera lenses! My son needs a new PC as well, but I'm not getting too carried away!

    • Harmstrong523

I've never done these deals, so my question is do these “roll”? Meaning I pay for these items up front, and then get my rewards later, but can I use those rewards on the next purchase that produces these rewards?

      • Christa

Yes but it takes a couple of months to get the rewards card. The rewards card is like a gift card and you use can keep using it until it's gone or expired. For example, I received my rewards for last quarter of 2009 at the end of February and it expired 5/31.

      • liz_in_SC

The rewards “payout” for this quarter (ending June 30) will not arrive in your mailbox until approx Aug 20. (they allow 30 days for returns to hit the line then it takes two weeks or so for mailing). The portion of any purchase made using coupons, gift cards, or “rewards” will not count toward further “rewards”. (Note the “qualified purchase” stipulation in the fine print on the website write-up). Your “rewards” payout cannot be used to purchase other gift cards.

This could be a pretty good deal if…..
        1. if you don't mind giving Office Depot your money to use for 60 days in hopes of having it returned to you to purchase other Office depot merchandise.
        2. if you trust the Office Depot system to have an accurate program that will actually return the “reward” to you as claimed.
        3. if the “free” merchandise is something useful you would purchase anyway….(if you're just getting it because it's “free” it may not be worth the hassle and risk of the program not working smoothly.)

    • SarahTakesPics

Anyone know if you can use the $10 off $25 coupon and still get the reward? I checked their website FAQ, but couldn't find the answer. Thanks!

      • Christa

Yes, you can use the coupon and still get the reward. But do you have a current $10 off $25 coupon? The one I had expired yesterday. thanks!

        • SarahTakesPics

Christa – you're right! I always go to retailmenot dot com and print off coupons and the only current ones were the $10 off $50, $15 off $75 and one for $25 off $125. Thanks for the help! :)

If I'm a teacher, does the Star Teacher program work the same as the Worklife Rewards? It seems like it does, but I thought I would check to see if anyone else used this program instead of Worklife. Thanks!

      • liz_in_SC

Yes, the star teacher program is like the worklife rewards program but with a few extra perks for teachers. Wording in the fine print of the ad includes the star teacher program.

    • Sarah Elyce

Can you use your reward card to purchase a gift card, like an American Express or something?

      • liz_in_SC

No! See the fine print in the worklife rewards section on the Office Depot website. Also read about “qualifying purchases”.

    • Natalie559

I have a rewards card that was issued to me for my purchases made during 1st quarter. If I use that card to pay for the above items will I still qualify for 100% back? Thanks!

    • ckb5

If anybody has a Discover credit card, you get 5% cash back when going to the Office Depot site from the Discover shopping site. Ebates only pays 2%. Glad to see these “freebies.” We were almost out of batteries!

    • Cmeinders1

I just spoke with a representative from the work life rewards and was told that if we pay with a reward card we will only get the percentage off (not necessarily 100% as advertized) of the cash we pay on the transaction. I discovered this first hand. So the answer to Natalie559 is to make sure that the cash you pay after your rewards card is deducted is still that 100% that you want to qualify for. If you purchase a lot from OD then it may be worth it–not sure it is for me.

    • Cmeinders1

I need to add to my last comment. It appears we cannot use a rewards card to pay for a transaction unless we are willing to give up the 100% and accept 1% instead. It takes them 4-6 weeks to post the rewards on computer. Not a good deal for me!

    • susandtim

not a good deal in my opinion. waste of time! i got my order to just over $50 to get to free shipping and use a coupon code that took $10 off $50. after applying the code and took the $10 off IT WAS NO LONGER FREE SHIPPING. so so LAME! it just added the $10 back. ugh!
