parents-choice-formulaThis is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of PBM Products. All opinions are 100% mine.

Everyone knows breast is best, but for many reason lots of parents end up choosing formula for some if not all feedings. So how can we save on formula? Honestly he easiest way is by choosing store brands. Many parents are tempted to turn to brand names to get what is best for your baby. Recently though, PBM Products (the company behind Parent’s Choice) won a lawsuit against Enfamil that showed that house brand formulas were just as good as name brand versions.

Armed with the knowledge that house brands and national brands are both just as good, just how much can you save by choosing a house brand? Walmart’s Parent’s Choice formula has an interesting savings calculator out that shows you just how much is at stake.

I was a skeptic at first thinking about coupons, sales and formula checks that the national brand company would send. After looking at the numbers though it is hard to believe that the national brand could send near enough checks and coupons to make up for a $634 yearly savings from buying Parent’s Choice!

If you are formula feeding or expecting to be then why not at least give it a try. Parent’s Choice is offering a sample of each of their formulas right now.

      Thanks for the information!

    • Cassondra

I'll stick with the Organic Baby's Only Dairy formula that I'm using. The price is cheaper than most of the name brands and close to the price of the Parent's Choice but is MUCH better for your child and has more ARA and DHA.

      • Cassondra

You can find the formula here if you’re interested: http://www.naturesone.com/dairy/ and they have a comparison chart: http://www.naturesone.com/pdf/N1-LeadingDairyBrands.pdf#view=FitH,0

      • jessica

exactly! Why give your baby something like parent's choice when you can feed him/her quality organic formula that is WAY better for essentially the same price?

before making such important decisions for their babies, parents/expecting parents should be mindful that a sponsored post means that the person writing it is getting paid by the company they are writing about to post a favorable review for their product.

Also keep in mind that breast milk is infinitely better, so if that is an option for you, go with breast milk! (plus, huge savings there too ;)

        • Elizabeth

Organic foods are not healthier than their counterparts. This has been stated over and over again in studies and academic journals. If you're buying it because it's cheaper, yay, but don't be fooled by media hype that organic is better for you, your child or the environment.

          • jessica

where has this been stated? As an academic who reads a great deal of scientific research studies and has 3 degrees, I have done my research on this topic. Organic foods have much lower levels, on average, of various toxins and pesticides. Many, many studies have shown organic foods to be less contaminated. Even if there are some articles that show no difference, that does not take away all of the evidence that supports that organic is better.

      • Christine

Parent’s Choice also makes organic formula.

    • renatajohansen

Is good to know that I was a skeptic about parent's choice .I'm ready to try a new formula with my baby.thanks Jenny

    • Nighy

Maybe because I'm up late, but are you saying that it really doesn't matter the nutrition and cost of either or, house brand verses national brand?
That they both do the same job just as well (as long as if you're armed with coupons for the national) ?

    • Kelley Barton

I just had my 5th baby on Monday. I'm nursing, but I've been using Parent's Choice formula since my first child 10 years ago. I recommend it to everyone. It is unreal when you look at the amount of money you save for a product that is EQUAL! If anyone doubts, there is a nutrition comparison on each container!! :) Glad to see your post about this!

    • Kim Balistreri

I use Parents Choice Premium because thankfully my pediatrician told me about store brands and that they are exactly the same. So that is pretty much the ONLY reason I go to Walmart…thanks to couponing, I honestly could not do it without you guys. I tell everyone about your site in order to help them out!! Thanks for ALL you do.

    • kermnelmo

I have never used Parent's Choice formula because my hubby didn't want me too. However I have used another store brand (a famous baby store) that has IDENTICAL ingredients and nutritional value to Enfamil. I used it 5 years ago with my son and I'm using it right now with my daughter. My daughter would spit up after every bottle with name brand formula's. Less with Similac than Enfamil. But with the store brand she stopped almost immediately. I recommend it to everyone, but I am definitely willing to try Parent's Choice for free ! ;o)

    • I would love to try Parents Choice. I have a 3 month old that was born a preemie and he is really growing fast. Formula is really expensive and we would love to try it to save some $$

    • Holly Hopkins

I would love to try Parent's Choice formula. I have a 9 month old, and formula is so expensive. Would love to save some money.

    • Jessica

I delivered my 5th baby in September and I'm always looking for ways to save. I'm currently breast feeding but all my babies stopped between 7 and 9 months. So the time is coming soon for formula. Thanks for the info.

    • Tiffany

This is what my son drinks now. He loves it and I love the price. The ingredients are identical to the brand name stuff for about half the price.

    • Amber

I would love to win this. I am nursing my son but supplement with formula. I've used Parents Choice with my daughter and it worked just as well as name brands.

    • Pamela Conner

My daughter used Parents Choice for my first grandbaby and now we have a second on the way. This formula saved them so much money over the national brands in the 9 months they used it. Baby E when changed to this formula even has less bouts of throwing up her formula. We are sold on this brand and would love to win a months supply for our new little one.

    • Christine

I breasfed my 2nd baby for 5 months and then had to switch to formula and chose Parent's Choice and she was fine with it. I did some research and found that all formulas are strictly regulated by the FDA and the Parent's Choice has the same ingredients/nutrition as brand names.

There are also coupons for Parent's Choice, at least there was 5 months ago. If you call every 30 days, you get a $3 or $5 coupon. If you can get your friends and family involved, you can be paying $7 per can! I think the normal price is $11.88. I know that when I was looking for coupons there were some on e-bay.

    • Kristen

Thanks for the info. I used Parents Choice for my 1st baby wsho is as healthy as can be and will be using it again for my second.

    • marybethpelt

I used a national brand with my 3 year old but have used Parents Choice with my son. Love it!

    • Ashleigh

I use Parent's Choice and love it. You can even sign up to get $3.00 off Q's :-) It is the only reason I go to Walmart most of the time, but well worth the aggravation. I would love to win this.

    • kimberly

We are about to have a baby and this would be a huge help! Thanks.

    • robinwiser

Does anyone know if they have a soy formula?

      • SSheila

Yes! I just saw it on their website.

        • robinwiser

          Thanks for the info!

    • faasangl015

I am bottle feeding breast milk currently as my son has a problem latching on and supplement formula at night so my husband can be involved and it is quicker than heating up formula. My husband would be eternally greatfull for a month supply to try. We didnt think to look at parents choice, because we figured after coupons it would be the same price, but now really going to look into as I saw some people mention there are coupons as well.

    • kpedwards0507

To receive additional savings on Parent's Choice formula once a month you can call 1-800-410-9629 and request a coupon. Just say you are calling to request a coupon for Parent's Choice Formula and a few weeks later they will send you a coupon…usually between $3 and $5 off. We used PC with my little girl after nursing efforts failed and had no problem whatsoever. She was never sick that first year and is extremely bright. You can request the coupons once a month. We would have other family members request them for us once a month, too so that we normally paid $8 or less per can. We are expecting number 2 and if nursing doesn't work out we will be using PC again! Happy saving!

    • juliarichardson

I agree that it is tough to beat the prices on store brands, but Costco DOES take the “checks” you get from the formula companies.

    • Derenda

This would be a great thing to win! I have a 4 month old who goes through an amazing amount!

    • jnknk

I have used another popular retail stor brand and my daughter did fine with it. It was after using Similac with two other children, and I had heard that store brands were just as good. I could not believe the savings. I will start my next on a store brand (after initially breastfeeding).

    • debbie

Breast is best, but like you said sometimes supplimenting is needed. Thanks for this chance to win.

    • meagan

I work with Teen Moms and WIC has cut formula by A LOT. Most of my girls are having to buy formula. I have an amazing 13 year old who has decided to try Parent's choice. She does not have internet or she would do this so this is me submitting on her behalf. She has a 5 month old gorgeous little man who she would love the month's supply of formula for. =)

    • beth963

I would to win a month's supply of formula, it is so expensive.

    • loridavidson

      I'd love to win!

    • honey2emmylace

Thanks for the links to this site…. I've been wondering about the difference. My daughter doesn't qualify for WIC but she is a teacher and formula is expensive! She breastfed exclusively till 9 months, but she's having to supplement now because of not enough weight gain. Any help we can get is great… (especially since we donated all of our brand name coupons and checks, thinking we wouldn't need them)

    • Kara

Love me some PC with both of my babies. Would love to get some free formula!

    • talljennr

I would love to win some formula, I have only used parent's choice a few times, but my son seems to do fine on it.

    • Teresa Castleman

I don't need the free samples, but I did want to make a comment because this is important. I used Parents Choice formula with one of my kids and all of a sudden, they had a bad reaction to it, after I had used it for months. I called the company, thinking maybe I had a bad can, and they said they had changed the “recipe”. There was no warning, no notice and nothing on the packaging that the formula was different.

Pediatricians want to be asked before parents change formula so why should a manufacturer be allowed to change their “recipe” without notifying the consumers? I never used Parents Choice again because of this. Hopefully other manufacturers don't do this. It's not fair to babies who get sick if they can't adjust to the change, and parents who don't know what's going on.

      That's my 2 cents.

    • Twila

Would like to win this for my daughter, who is having a baby any day.

    • kierarox

I used Parent's Choice with my son and use it for my baby, too. It definitely saves money and is a great value for the price.

    • Christy Myers

My son uses Parents Choice when we run out of the Enfamil from WIC and I haven't noticed a difference. Actually I think he likes the PC better because he drinks it quicker than the Enfamil.

    • tweedle1218

We used Parents Choice for my first child and it came highly recommended by her pediatrician. I am definitely planning to use it with our new baby when it arrives if breast feeding isn't an option. Parents Choice has the identical nutritional facts to Enfamil. Thanks Jenny! Hope I win :)

    • Candyce

We have used Parents Choice for 7 years with 4 kids. We love it. I have a 9 week old, who is just starting to use it as well.

    • Jennifer

I found out about Parent's Choice when I had my first child. I was skeptical at first but once I looked into it I found they had the same ingredients. My daughter is a very bright, healthy 3 yr old now and we are currently using PC with our second child as well.

    • Mindy

I am just about to deliver our 3rd baby soon, I am planning on trying to breast feed but I have heard that it doesn't always work. I used Parents Choice with my 2nd child who was on soy formula and loved it. The national brand of soiy formula is very expensive, parents choice is just as good and a lot cheaper.

    • zewt

just had another set of twins (who I am breastfeeding like the first set) but I need to supplament so this would be great!!

    • BeverlyB

I currently supplement my 5-month-old's feedings with Enfamil, but I would be willing to try PC if I could get it for free. Formula is so expensive!

    • Mandy

I used PC for my first and now my 2nd child. I also buy their puffs, pull ups and wipes :)

    • marysc

Thanks for the info. Store brands are almost always comparable to name brands, and very often even made in the same factory that makes the name brand.

    • Amy

Where do you get an organic formula that is the same price as a house brand?

    • Sandy Rieder

I would love to win it. Thank you.

    • dawnw2

WOw! I'm all about saving anywhere I can. I would definately try parent choice formulas.

    • gingerscott

Thank you so much for the info. I am new to couponing and have often wondered about the math on whether the PC brand would be better in the long run. Thanks for clearing that up. I have used PC brand before and my baby seems fine with it. I am also new to your site and am excited about all here is to learn and save. Thank you for your hard work.

    • tahsha

This would be great for those few times when there isn't enough pumped in the freezer and I'm not home from couponing yet, and Dad is at his witt's end. :)

    • mrsembee

My baby girl is due two weeks from today! She is my first and we're going to try bfing, but in the even that doesn't work – free formula would be a lifesaver. You rock, Jenny!

    • krgreene

I would love to try this. We have been using similac sensitive but it doesn't seem to fill her up for long. She eats 6 ounces every 2-3 hours at 3 months of age. Any cost savings would be great! Thanks Jenny for all you do.

    • jennphilpot

We have two adopted five month old babies, and we use Parent's Choice Gentle. We are so thankful for the savings because of how much we need. And a month's supply would be incredible!!!

    • Kathy

I used Parent's Choice with my daughter who is now almost 4. We experienced less gas with Parent's Choice than with the national brands.

I have to say that I am disapointed in the post that seem to be judging those of us that are using a brand like Parents Choice. Infant Formulas are regulated, and have standards that they have to meet. Before you pass judgement on us, check your facts and think about the other side of the story that you don't know….

    • Kelly

Yay for free formula :) I tried BF'ing both my babies (now 2.5 and 10 mos.) and I wasn't comortable with it, me and the babies got frustrated, and after researching formula we just made the decision to go for it. BOTH of my children have been extremely healthy, and both are fantastic eaters- they have always been in the right place height/weight wise, and I couldn't be happier. Breast IS best, I won't argue with that- but I hate when BF'ing mommies judge us formula mommies and preach about how we're short-changing our kids when we couldn't/chose not to breastfeed for whatever reason :)

    • Laura Corbett

I've always trusted Parent's Choice Formula, the savings is based on advertising. I had to stop nursing in order to get on medication for my Rheumatoid Arthritis and our budget was tight. This was a big savings for us.

    • Tammy

If I win I will donate it to a food bank or shelter.

    • smikell

I wanted to nurse my baby for many reasons but being a somewhat older mom, my milk supply dried up. I've been purchasing off brand formula to help feed my baby, since I'm a mom of 6 with 2 in college, I need all the help I can get. Thanks, for SS~~you are saving me a ton on my grocery bill, which is so helpful with teens~~I have the 2 expensive categories, baby on formula and teens in highschool and teens in college :-).

    • annworf

I have a new granddaughter who was originally breast fed but had to be supplemented with Similac. My son-in-law is military, leaving for deployment in 2 weeks. My daughter is trying to stay home with their baby and money is very tight. They have switched to Parent's Choice and are very satisfied with the product. A month's worth of formula would be a gift from heaven!

    • johnnaharbert

I have 4 young children and have used PC for them. I think it is a great brand. We use the diapers, wipes, snacks and baby food.

    • ckmomsaves

We switched to PC from Similac a couple of months ago. After researching and finding out that the PC brand is just last years formula from the major brands. The savings made the decision for us since all the ingredients are the same.

    • Suzanne

My children are now off of formula, but we used parents choice. They did great and are very intelligent. If you read the label and compare you will see they are the same. If I remember correctly PC had more good stuff. I couldnt breat feed or I would have, but buying that formula saved us alot of money!

    • Mommytobj06

We used PC Formula for my son when breast feeding no longer worked. And just like the person below me, we received valuable coupons once a month, and so did many of our family members. The savings was great!! I compared PC formula with other store brands, only to realize, they are the same manufacturer and still less price than some of the other famous box stores! My son never got sick, other than minor fever here or there. In fact, he did not go to his first sick appt. till he was 3!! I am sure we are very lucky, now I just hope the next one we can be lucky again! Again, I diligently compared nutrition, price per ounce, and much more only to find PC was better than national leading brands! Give it a try, you wont be disappointed!!

    • Sally

I'm willing to give it a try.

    • Barb

I have three children and would occasionally supplement BF with a bottle and almost always used the Kroger or Wal-Mart store brands.

My Mom gave me formula exclusively in the early 70's and I was always at the top of my class in school and graduated 2nd and made straight A's in college. My parents like to joke about how much smarter I would have been if I had been breastfed.

I don't need to win the formula (so glad I am past that stage!) but I just wanted to chime in about there being nothing wrong with the store brands. I don't shop on price alone, but I remember the store brand even mixed with water better than the name brand!

    • kristenirwin

I breast feed my so until he was about 3 months old. At that point, unfortunately we had to switch to formula. We have been using Parents Choice Gentle and have had a great experience with it. We love parents choice and it is a great product for the money. We would recommend it anyone. We would also love to win some free formula.

    • ashleyc123

We used Parent's Choice with our third child after nursing and then trying EVERYTHING else. It worked out great for our son (now 5 years old). I wished I had tried it sooner. We used name brand everything with the older two children. I was afraid to do different. I guess I was worn down by the time little man came along…I could have saved money when the girls were babies if I had tried the store brand. I do recommend trying it! Once we tried the formula we used Parent' Choice everything with him. He could have been their spokes person…

    • Alyssa

Parent's Choice seems okay, I'd be interested to try it.

    • Amanda

I would appreciate winning this if I were picked!

    • pamelasabin

Our little one is very sensitive. The Similac soy is not doing well for him.

      • voldoll27

My daughter was as well. We tried her on the Isomil (which I believe is the Similac soy), because that's all her brother could tolerate, but she just threw it up everytime. She did the same with everything except for the Gentlease. After spending a fortune on such a small can of formula, I figured that giving the PC Gentle was worth a shot. Boy am I glad I did! She kept it down fine, it helped with her colic, and it was a can twice the size for half the price. I recommend it to everyone now.

    • Lori

We determined this with our first child. I would love to have a years supply for my 3rd…

    • Denice

I'd like to win this for my friend.

    • Summer

I started out using a national brand for my first child b/c I wanted to do what I thought was the “best” for him at the time. After researching myself I found that the Parent's Choice brand was still a good option. I started using it with my first child and plan to use it with my second.

    • LittleLadybug

My neice has been using PC for 3 months now – amazing the changes in her over the name brands. She uses the sensitivity but maybe we could take the free month of Gentle back to Walmart for an exchange :)

    • kristenirwin

breast feed my so until he was about 3 months old. At that point, unfortunately we had to switch to formula. We have been using Parents Choice Gentle and have had a great experience with it. We love parents choice and it is a great product for the money. We would recommend it anyone. Thanks so much for the info about the coupon.

    • Robin

      Pick me!

    • breastisbest

I'm sad to see so many women choosing to feed their babies chemicals rather than breast milk. Yes, nursing is hard, but parenting is hard. It's something you just do because it's the best thing for your child. I don't understand how you can talk about cost when babies fed these artificial chemical concoctions will likely end up with medical problems ranging from allergies to obesity and many others. The DHA and ARA that are added to formulas and touted as mimicking breast milk are actually nothing like the fatty acids in human milk. The DHA is extracted from fermented microalgae and the ARA is extracted from soil fungus. Besides, not using breast milk denies your child the antibodies and other natural protections against a host of diseases found in human milk. Please don't poison your baby with formula; make the sacrifice and commit yourself to breastfeeding.

    • Rae

We haven't tried Parent's Choice, but are using another house brand for our daughter.

    • Melissa

I use Member's Mark which is the Sam's Club brand. It always at least $15 cheaper than the largest Enfamil can. I pay $20 for a 3 lb 3.4 oz can! It is exactly the same formula and is gentle on my baby's tummy!!

      • Kathryn

We love the Sam's Club brand as well, and it is definitely cheaper than Enfamil. It has worked well for my two kids and I recommend it to mother's who need to use formula. I breastfed both as long as I had milk, and formula is my second choice. I would love to win this—I have about 6 weeks of formula feeding left til my 10 1/2 month old daughter can go on Happy Cow Creamery milk!

    • clara

Parents Choice is a GREAT formula. And of course there's NEVER anything wrong with saving money.

    • janet5631

I received a sample pack that was good for one days worth of feedings before my son was born. I tucked it away in the cabinet bc i thought FOR SURE i was going to feed him ONLY Enfamil after I decdided to stop breastfeeding. I stopped breastfeeding around 4 months bc i got mastiti.s But one day I had forgotten to go out and buy formula and I was “stuck” using the PC brand and all i can say is I switched after I noticed how much happier my son was. The gas was way less and he was less colicy!
Ever since I have used the purple lable… The Gentle!!!
All I can say is I was one of those skeptics, but now I'm totally not! He is 8 months old and still using parents choice!
I used the savings calculator in the begining and noticed I was saving a good chunk of change!
I left my husband up to buying the formula last week and he came home with the “origional one” it still had purple in it! It was yellow and purple and my son liked it! So atleast I know he can handle more than one!
      Good luck to everyone :)
I know how much $$$ this would save us mothers… to win a months supply! I'm excited!!!

    • Jennifer

I would love to win this for my sister! She is currently using Parent's Choice formula after unsuccessfully trying to nurse. They are on a very tight income and could really use this!! Thank you so much for EVERYTHING you do!! You are such a blessing to our family! I recommend your website to people all the time!!! :)

    • staj0805

I'd recommend this product to anyone – and I haven’t been paid to say that. After nursing my son for seven months we switched him over to formula. We tried Enfamil and Similac, but the cost was killing us. We switched over to Parent’s Choice after I did some research on the company and the ingredients in the product. Can’t be happier with the results. He did fine with the formula and is healthy today.

    • Susan

Thanks for the information! I have a 5-month-old granddaughter who is on formula. I will recommend it to her mother.

    • Tiffany Holmes

I have a four year old daughter and only used name brand formula with her as I was unable to breastfeed. My husband and I were scared to “skimp” on formula fearing that it would affect our daughter developmentally. Now that we are expecting our second daughter in May, I am so excited to see research say that name brands and Parent's Choice are essentially the same product. I will certainly be choosing PC for extreme cost savings!

    • pkrogerson

I have twins and I use Parents Choice Formula. With the twins going through a BIG can every two days it has saved us a lot of money.

    • mama22babygirls

I would love to try Parents Choice. Thanks for the info!!

    • concerned

I was very commited to breastfeeding but for some it was not a choice. I had a trauma and my breastmilk dried up after 2 weeks. I was thankful to have formula to turn to. My son is now a VERY healthy 5 year old. Formula is not “poison”. If so I myself being a formula fed baby would have had issues, I am 38 years old and extremely healthy. I was rarely sick as a child and adult. So please stop trying to make women feel bad for their choice. Breast is best but if needed formula is a great alternative.

    • candice munk

I am always looking for a way to save on formula. It makes up a huge part of our grocery budget each month.

    • heidi

I used Parents Choice with my son and would use it again. I would love to win this and pass it along to someone who might be able to use it right now1

    • mama22babygirls

Your comments are out of place here. No one is poisoing their babies. I have 2 kids- I BF'd one & FF'd another. The FF child is testing gifted and has been healthier than my BF child. Take your poison and spew it somewhere else!

      • scmommy

I agree! I was a breastfed baby and I have had no health concerns, had two “textbook” pregnancies and delivered both naturally, no allergies, and I am currently underweight for my height (and I had a baby 9 months ago). I'm almost 30 and about to run in a marathon, formula did not hurt me!ashley

        • Barb

I don't see how being deemed “underweight” is an indication of being healthy.

          • ashley

I'm sorry, I didn't mean it like that. I just meant that I don't have a problem with obesity. A lot of serious runners fall into the underweight category on most BMI charts when they are training for a race.

      • Allison

Thank you! I agree totally. I don't have any kids, but that doesn't matter. I have no idea why people would think that this is an appropriate place for this discussion. Oh, neither is the comment section for this post on Facebook. Calm down, people. It's not up to you to decide what other people do with their kids.

      • shoneyburger

Same here. I really wanted to breast feed and tried everything. I could only produce 2 ounces in 30 minutes. My baby was starving. I was very disappointed and felt like a failure myself, but thank God we have technology that can give us such quality formula. My children are much healthier that the average child and they were all formula fed.

    • BostonMama

I am shocked at the negative comments on here! I breast feed for 13 months, but that doesn't mean my daughter didn't get formula when necessary. I also started out using a more expensive brand, but then realized Parents Choice was equal in everything except price! If you don't want to give it to your baby then don't, but don't judge others for doing what is best for their baby.

    • BostonMama

I would love to win this for my sister in law – she's the proud momma for a 3 month old beautiful baby boy!!

    • ivegotcutekids

I'd love to be entered for the free formula! My pediatrician told me that ALL formula (including store brand) has to follow strict FDA guidelines. We have four children, and I have breastfed all of them, but I have no problem giving them formula, too. I quit breastfeeding my 6 month old a couple of months ago. Thanks for the chance!

    • Sandi

I am entering this giveaway for my sister, who is pregnant with triplets. She could definitely use this. She does plan on pumping and giving the babies some breast milk but since there will be 3 she will supplement with Formula. She had a hard time producing enough milk for her first child, who was a single birth. I personally used parents choice for both of my babies and they both did wonderful on it. My pediatrician said it was the same thing as the expensive brands.

    • trishap

Pick me, pick me! Baby 4 is on the way!

      Thanks, Jenny!

    • Lucy

I have supplemented both of my babies with Parent's Choice formulas. I saw no difference of this formula vs. national brand. My daughter even liked the taste of Parents Choice better. The price is also amazing, it's about 3 times cheaper than brand name. I don't know how I would have afforded formula without Parent's Choice.

    • Amanda Cullum

I've been using Paren'ts Choice since the beginning. I LOVE the value that I get from them and I can't tell a difference between it and the national brands. We don't have long left to use formula, but it would be a HUGE blessing not to have to buy any more. :-D Pick us, please?!?!

    • Kelly

I wasn't able to breast feed my son so he was formula fed and is very healthy. I loved Parents Choice because of the savings. I now have 2 sisters who are pregnant and due at the same time (in two weeks). They are both planning on nursing if they can, but will definitely need formula if they can't.

    • JSB

My three girls have always done well with Parents Choice. Also, if you compare labels, I've found the Target, Rite Aid, and Toys/BabiesRUs store brands have the exact same manufacturer as the Parents Choice… same stuff just different store labels. Sometimes Toys/BabiesRUs will offer $5 gift cards for every two cans you buy at comparable price to Wal-Mart. Great deal!

    • elizabethholcomb

I would love to win! I stopped breastfeeding in January.

    • Kathy

I breastfed all my babies but did supplement with some formula. My daughter breasfeeds but will supplement sometimes as well. It would be nice to have “free” formula to use for those times.

    • Amanda Cullum

I tried to breastfeed, but my daughter came early; I didn't have enough milk and she ended up in the NICU due to dehydration and weight loss. I supplemented w/formula & she quickly recovered. My milk NEVER came in and no one knows why. I HATE to hear people say that you can breastfeed if you just try hard enough. I was committed & I nearly starved my daughter w/my committment. My pediatrician said that it was best for Kate to have formula. Don't judge others just because you're the Dairy Queen.

      • kmstokes

I am with you Amanda…I was dead set against breast feeding with my first child and for some reason right before he was born had a change of heart. I WANTED to breast feed!! He had complications and had lost weight even before his birth, and after I could never produce enough milk and he began to lose more weight. I had no choice, so to hear people talk like you always have a choice is just plain wrong. I tell ALL my prego friends to not let anyone tell them different that it is OK to give your child a bottle!! Sad thing is my son is healthier and has been for his 4 years of life than my best friend that breast fed for six months!!!!!!! So please do not judge, this in my opinion is a personal decision and other people should keep their thoughts to themselves!!

        • Amanda

How can you say, “this is my opinion” and “other people should keep their thoughts to themselves?” That doesn't seem fair.

        • Amanda

Also, I accidentally clicked “liked” when I meant to click “reply.”

    • Jenni A.

I would love to win. I have tried Parent's choice formula before. Excellent product.

    • emily

Jenny, I would love to enter to win the free formula. I have one hungry six month old!!! Thanks so much

    • Susan

With our second baby due in 2 weeks and the anxiety of another failed breast feeding attempt, I am hoarding all the formula I can!! The pump is all 'gassed up' and ready to go, but need need to get my arsenal of supplement so I don't starve this little guy!

    • Jenni A.

I have used Parent's Choice formula before. An excellent product. Would love to win. Have a newborn (3 weeks old).

    • Tricia

I'm glad to know that cheaper, but nutritional, option is there, since I am about to be a working mother of a newborn. I have been blessed to be able to nurse my first 2 children, but know there is the possibility of needing to supplement some with this one. Thanks for the information!

    • MadelineCamp

Love your great giveaways!! Thanks for all you do!!!

    • Rachel Dolezal

Thank you, this would be great!

    • Amanda Smith

I would like to enter this giveaway on behalf of my mother, who is currently caring for my 7 mo nephew. He's a voracious eater! And he'll take any formula he can get! Thanks, Jenny!

    • Ali

Due any day now, would love to have some formula

    • Jessica

I have never used Parents choice formula before but I am willing to try it. I have 4 month old twins and our formula cost per month is running $418.00. If they can handle the switch, I am loving the savings!

    • SSheila

Wow. Please do not be so negative and closed minded. Southern Savers is a happy place!!!! My baby is 9 1/2 months old and I have strictly breast fed him until a few weeks ago. I have to work, I don't have a choice as my husband was out of a job for a year. I was getting up in the middle of the night to pump to supplement his bottle feedings because I did not pump enough while I was at work. It got to the point where he was drinking an 8oz bottle, but I could only pump about 4oz between the middle of the night and during the day while I was at work. I could either starve my child or supplement with formula. What do you suggest I do? I had a similac sample and he has done fine with it. I am very thankful to Jenny for her post on parent's choice. I was really afraid of house brands until now. Thank you Jenny and Southern Savers :)

    • Becky Peele

Thank you for posting this, I am a foster mom and have tried some Parent's choice products. Their quality really varies. I was afraid to try the formula since our infant has a fussy tummy. Your comments are greatly appreciated.

Breast is best, but in so many cases, like ours, it is not even an option. It is just one more negative thing these special babies have to work through.

    • amandabawden

I would to breastfeed my babies but unfortunately I could not due a surgery.

    • SamP

I love Parents Choice. I was a sceptic with my first child, but after doing the comparison and reading the labels, I felt confident in the product. Now with my second and and I no longer able to breast feed, I have turned again to Parents Choice. It is the only reason that I will go to Walmart thanks to this site and my new found couponing!

    • abcdsclark

I love Parent Choice Formula ( the company that makes PC also makes target, members mark, berkley and jensen) I have a medical condition that no matter what i do my milk dries up after 4 months, my babies have taken better to PC than to Good Start. I love the chance to win and save some money on formula as my son is now 7 months old

    • chele17

      This would be great!!!

    • Kathryn

Would you rather that my babies starve? I breastfed as long as I had milk–4 months with my son, and 5 1/2 months with my daughter. I had to go back to work full-time, and my milk dried up both times, even though I was pumping at work. Don't judge when you don't know our stories.

    • Lea

I tried breastfeeding my daughter and she wouldn't latch on. I pumped milk for her for 2 months and eventually decided that we would supplement formula. I chose Parents Choice and really liked it! I compared the name brands to PC and found little if any difference! I just found out I am pregnant again, yesterday, and plan to do this same thing!!!! Thanks for all you do Jenny!

    • HappyMamaX2

Thanks so much for posting this Jenny! Very helpful information! I'm due in July and would like to try this with my daughter.

    • Lauren

I breastfed my twins for the past 8+ months… they have just weaned themselves & started formula (and I've been trying PC, exact nutrition info & saves a ton of money on two!) – would love to win!

    • deidreanderson

What a blessing free formula for a month would be for us. Thank you so much for the opportunity.

    • riddleam

We use Parent's Choice and love it…..even though some people tell us “it isn't as good for our baby!” Maybe I'll pass along the lawsuit info. Thanks!

    • SleepySarah

Not interested in the debate. It is every woman's choice how to feed her child. I'm a nurser but use formula to supplement. I would love to win this!

    • caseybmomto2

I just switched to Parents Choice and it think the savings is greater than National Brand.

    • scmommy

I am sorry you feel that way, but I have to be honest and say that your comment was very hurtful. It made me feel like I am a bad mother because I did not breastfeed. I think you are out of line here. There are factors that some women cannot control like post-partum depression and returning to work that makes them unable to do it. I would go do ANYTHING for my children, and if there was anything I could have done to be able to breastfed them I would have done it.

    • kelleyharold

I am lucky enough that I was able to breastfeed all 3 of my children. I chose to stay at home when my first was born. She had horrible colic but my doctor said it would only be worse with formula. We tried anyway, after hearing about how formula helped many colicky babies. I am currently nursing my 7-month-old child (my 3rd). None of my 3 children would take a bottle, even if it had breastmilk in it. I got lots of formula samples that I didn't use, but I made sure to give them to friends who would. If I didn't have friends who needed it at the time, I donated it to a crisis pregnancy center. I do the same with the formula coupons/checks that I receive. Not everyone is able to successfully breastfeed their babies. That is why formula was invented in the first place! My own mother was not able to breastfeed either me or my brother, and neither of us has any health problems. As a matter of fact, I was valedictorian of my high school class AND I have an engineering degree from a university known for its difficult engineering program – so I don't think being formula-fed made me less intelligent than breast milk.

      • Erin

my breastfed daughter had colic too, I realized that it was worse when I drank cows milk (cheese was ok). I cut out milk from my diet and supplemented her with soy and she did much better. As she got older if I tried to sneak in a glass of milk here or there we would all know it because the colic would come back.

        • kelleyharold

I cut out everything but white rice for several days, but nothing helped. It didn't matter what I ate; I was just blessed with 3 demanding Mommy's girls. :-)

    • amug01

I'm a mom of 3 small children and would LOVE to win a 30 day supply of PC. Thanks Southern Savers for the chance!

    • kristiecraven

I have always used the gentle, it is great and Sams brand is exactly the same, I get the equivelent of 2.5 cans for $25, amazing!

    • Heatheroo

I would love to try Parent's CHoice formula and win some for free!! I do breastmilk and formula and I usually just buy whatever I have a coupon for. Thanks for all you do Jenny, I love your site!!

    • MandyPoo83

I am due in July and plan to breastfeed, but when my son was born I couldn't produce enough milk so I had to supplement with formula. After doing that for a year, I know how very expensive it can be — even when only supplementing with it. This would be a GREAT prize!!! : )

    • Jessica

    • magen

I have a 7 month old, would love some free formula!! I BF for the first 3 months, but now he only takes formula and is very healthy and happy, and so is his mama!! :)

    • Ashton

I used parent's choice for my little boy who is almost 2 now. It is really disheartening to hear women who degrade other women who choose not to breastfeed for whatever reason. Each person has a choice and children who are fed with formula can be just as healthy, happy, and bonded with their mothers. My little boy had no ear infections, no medical problems, is very smart, loves me very much, etc. I hope everyone just respects other's choices for whatever reason.

    • 6littleones

We are off to have #6! It would be great to have some formula to suppliment!

    • RebeccaFer

Are you serious?!??! I honestly couldn't even read past the first line of your post because I found it so extremely judgemental, narrowminded, rude, way out of line and just plain mean! Wow! I knew there would be someone like you to come on a money saving website to bash others because this is a hot button topic but Wow! Mean, mean, mean! I BF my daughter for 14 months and I cherish that time but I know others don't always have the choice for one reason or another. It's not my place to judge them or to talk down to them just because I was blessed by that opportunity. You seriously need to step off your high horse soapbox and look around at your fellow Mother's as other loving people who want to do their best for their baby. Wow! Your ignorance is astounding! I am so biting my tongue right now about something I can assume about you just by what you wrote but I don't want to open another hot topic. People like you make my blood boil. I am so sorry Jenny that I am going off like this. I hope that everyone can see by all of my other posts that I am never mean and strive to be helpful but ughhhhh … I really can't take these kind of better-then-you people.

      • grandmanow.

Wow! I miss everything! That's what I get for working. I just wanted to say I raised three kids on formula and they're still alive and kickin'! They've even managed to graduate high school and get into college, despite my depriving them of breastfeeding. In my years of childrearing, I've found that the most important ingredient to a happy, healthy kid is plenty of hugs. Love your babies in whatever way works for your family.

    • Adoptive Mommy!

My husband and I aren't able to have children and have been blessed to adopt our newborn baby. Obviously breastfeeding is not an option for us, and I'm so thankful there is another good option for us out there! :) Parenting is a sacrifice…agreed, but the sacrifice doesn't look the same for us all.

      • Adoptive Mommy!

Oh!! And I would LOVE to win that formula!! :)

      • landonsmommy36

My husband and I too adopted a sweet boy after 4 years of trying to have a child. We have not had any problems formula feeding our little man!

        Congratulations on your sweet baby!

    • andrearhodes

I would love to win some free formula! Thanks for the opportunity:)

    • JEB

Would love some free formula for supplementing if needed. I support a woman's right to feed her baby in whatever way is right for her.

    • Be nice

Please do not use harsh negative comments to try and support breastfeeding. Please use kind gentle persuasion instead. It would probably work better. :)

    • myers0711

I have got to say that some of us just couldn't nourish our children on breastmilk alone. I tried like crazy and cried many times when I couldn't naturally feed my 2 sons. Thank goodness for formula! Both of my boys are healthy and we can't wait for our 3rd baby!

    • Valerie

I am currently formula feeding my four-month baby Enfamil Premium; I'm a little skeptical about using a house brand. Thanks for the info. it's definitely something to think about.

      • morticiainpink

Hi Valerie- I use the PC Premium with the same amounts of DHA and ARA is the Enfamil Premium and right now its only $10 a can. My son does very well with it.

    • Mandy

I'd love to win. I just had to switch to formula with my 9 month old because my supply dried up. It was pretty hard for me to accept at first, but we are going with the flow now. He is still happy, healthy and a perfect little man!

    • Kristen

Formula is so expensive! This is a great! Thank you for all the help you give to our family!

    • Shirley

My grandson had to go to formula after two months of starving on breastmilk. The pediatrician told her to use Enfamil or Similac rather than a store brand. She said Enfamil and Similac are like Pepsi and Coca-Cola – the store brands just aren't the same. I have frequently found store brands to be just as good if not exactly alike, but I agree with that assessment of cola. Give me Coke any day over a store brand cola. Once my grandson's weight catches back up, maybe my daughter will ask the doctor about swapping to the cheaper alternative. In the meantime, we'll keep watching for those golden similac and enfamil deals and coupons on Southern Savers!

    • PalmettoGirl

I am entering on behalf of a good freind who needs help feeding her son, born with a genetic disability that had made her bf-ing attemps quite difficult. Her husband is a FT student and the formula savings would really help them.
      Thanks Jenni!

    • Leighann

We used Parents Choice formula with our daughter. Talk about savings! The formula went on sale for $10 so we stocked up. The smallest I was able to pay for Similac was $20.

    • Elizabeth

My first 3 kids were breast and formula fed. I'm currently expecting #4 and would love to win some free formula!

    • SizeloveSaves

As a foster parent, formula is the ONLY option!

    • lauradawn20

I would love to win. I use parents choice advantage. My ped said it's just as good as Similac advantage.

    • Kate

If I win this, I'd give it to my good friend who just had baby number 5. What a great giveaway!

    • jenwh23

I have used Parent's Choice Gentle with both my little girls and it has been wonderful and saved us TONS of money!

    • Tracey

With a baby due in a few weeks, free formula would be very nice

    • Mom- the Best & hardest job

As a mother of 3, my baby is 5 1/2 months old, I used PC for both of my older children. I breastfed for as long as I could and then relied on formula afterwards. They are healthy, happy, and I'd love to be able to ensure that my third little cutie is also just as happy.

    • hannahes

I am expecting my second child one month from today. I will most likely have to breastfeed and formula feed because with my first child I never produced enough milk. A one month supply of formula would be awesome.

    • c long

This is a very interesting article. I have always used the name brands but now I am convinced to try PC. THanks!

    • Carrie

I'm finally done with breastfeeding! After 10 months with baby #1, 13 months with baby #2 and 25 (LONG) months with baby #3, I'm both happy (in the short-term) and sad (in the long-term) that those days are behind me. Since baby #3 isn't convinced that table food is something she wants anything to do with, we have to add Pediasure to her whole cow's milk. Also, since Pediasure is like formula in that you very rarely find coupons/deals for, I use Parent's Choice. I also use Parent's Choice diapers and have since day 1. I got a great deal on a very popular name brand diaper once that made them the same price per diaper as Parent's Choice. Personally, I couldn't stand them and so I've gone back to Parent's Choice and bypass all the name brand deals (not only are they not worth it to me, but the great deals make them the same unit price as Parent's Choice). Just wanted to make a comment on the other great products that Parent's Choice makes.

    • Jennifer

I'd love to win :). Thank you for all you do!

    • connieb03

You are wonderful Jenny! Thanks for helping my family save money!!!

    • kimmid

What a wonderful gift it would be to win that formula! We have a beautiful adopted daughter and are about to bring adopt and bring home her brother. Help with that necessary expense would be a huge blessing. Thanks for the chance. :-)

    • Jamie

anyone know how to get a free sample of the sensitive formula? my little girl was born with some problems which made breastfeeding a challenge.. and i had to stop after only 2 weeks :( she is now on similac sensitive and i see they have a sensitive variation but just not a sample of it.

    • barbara

      I hope i win.

    • barbaraorrpitts

My daughter and her husband use Parent's Choice Gentle for our first grandchild and he is thriving on it. The doctor prescribed Enfamil Gentleease but it was tremendously expensive. We found that the Parent's Choice is just as good, if not better, than the Enfamil and took care of all of our grandson's gas and stomach problems. We love it and we love the price!

    • jessica

      awesome giveway!

    • addictedtosaving

Free formula for a month sure would make 12 weeks of unpaid leave a little easier! Thank you for all you do to make couponing easy!

    • Jason

      Love your site!

    • Raki

Would love to win this. Thanks. Thanks to kpedwards0507 for the coupon tip.

    • AliciaBeth

I would like to be entered in the giveaway. I have a precious 7 month old baby boy… and I spent a small fortune ever so often on baby formula!!

    • Crystal

I would love to win and thank you for the informative post.

    • Woo Hoo! Free formula for 30 days. That would really help my free sample to bill ratio. Pick me please!

    • I would love to be able to win this and give it to my friend who has a 4 month old baby boy!

    • lzannis

      What a great giveaway!

    • jloverholser

I was devastated when my child rejected breast feeding after only 2 1/2 months. I wanted her to have the best nutrients available of course, but I was also sad at how much money I was going to have to be spending on formula! Ya'll know every penny counts! She is 8 months now, and so healthy. As much as I was opposed to formula, it was our only option. I am just thankful that she is happy and healthy. Of course any deals I can get on formula are always helpful! Thanks for the tips!

    • landonsmommy36

My husband and I recently adopted a precious baby boy. We have no choice but to formula feed him, but he is extremely healthy, happy and actually quite advanced for his age! We brought him home from the hospital, so he's been on formula since he was born. Winning a 30-day supply would definitely help us since are no going through a can every 1-1 1/2 weeks!!!

Thank you for these wonderful website too! Every time I shop, I proudly tell my family how much money I saved. Those savings are actually going into an account for my son's college, etc.!

    • momof2scbabies

Thank you for sharing this link! I used Parent's Choice after I stopped breastfeeding my daughter and I'm eager to try the Gentle Formula with my son. Thanks!

    • Taylor

I don't have children, but I would give it to the shelter we support!

    • Denise

I am a mother of three formula-fed bright, healthy children. My youngest is 10 months old and has never had any problems, other than croup! I would love to win a 30 day supply of soy formula to finish out her first year. Thank you!

    • Momof3

I asked my pediatrician before I used the Parent's Choice brand and she told me that it was manufactured by the same people that produces the name brand (forgot which name brand). She said something about the name brand's patent being expired so one of the owners or partners broke away from the main company and was able to started making the “generic” form. She told me to compare labels to the name brand, which I did, and the PC brand actually had higher percentages of some of the vitamins than the name brand. I have a friend who is a nurse and did the same thing even with her preemie baby after she stopped breast feeding. He is very healthy now and can't even tell he was a preemie.
This was my third child and my milk wouldn't come in for any of them. I tried really hard this time but this child was 10 pounds and I was sitting on a double Madela breast pump for an hour only getting 1/2 ounce out of each breast. I don't think that would have been sufficient.
He is a very healthy, intellegient child.

    • Karlie

What incredible timing this post was! I was just at a store comparing Parent's Choice with Enfamil and couldn't see a difference in the ingredients…just the price…it's almost a third of what Enfamil is costing me. I bought it but then felt guilty, hoping I was not cutting my baby's nutrition. It's so good to hear that it really is the same as namebrands, just cheaper! Thank you for this chance and your posts.

    • Jamie

Breast is definitely best, but for some of us it just wasn't an option. I wanted to breastfeed but I didn't produce enough milk and dried up after 2 weeks. I don't currently use PC, but to know that you can get coupons as well makes me definitely want to switch.

    • mommaof2greatkids

Oh my….I love Parents Choice and Members Mark!! You can get a great deal at Sams Club on Members Mark formula. They do only carry the advantage and gentle but if you use either one of those its a great deal. I couldn't breastfeed my baby due to complications with my delivery so had to turn to formula and have had no problems; I have a happy/healthy 7 month old. 1 month of free formula would be awesome and come in handy since I just had to put my baby in child care.

    • sandylb

I currently use parents choice formula. I was unable to breastfeed after my second child was born to a very long and difficult labor/delivery. We tried several name brands and found that Parents Choice Gentle is the best for us. We love everything you do at Southern Savers, keep up to great work.

    • Ellen W.

I would love to win, I just had a baby girl (my 2nd) on 4/3! Thanks so much for the info!

    • sbrusso

I am expecting my 3rd child and have used the Parent's Choice Formula with my other two children after I stopped breastfeeding. I had great success each time and anticipate using it with my 3rd child. My pediatrician said it was the same as the name brand's but just not paying the higher price!

    • breastfeeding is wonderful as long as you can do it, I have breastfed both of my children and formula fed them as well. I am a strong believer in the breast milk but after about 5 or 6 months its time for the formula, I am currently pregnant with my third child (due July 25) and i stay at home with my 13 month old. I use coupons(of course) and i watch our spending. So the free formula would be a wonderful addition to saving my family money in the future!! thanks jenny for all that you do!!

    • Amy

      Would love to win

Wow! I wasn't a fan of formula until my milk quit producing enough to fill my little 9-month-old up! I would love to win some formula!

    • morticiainpink

We love Parent's Choice! I use the Advantage- with comparable amounts of DHA and ARA as the Enfamil Premium. Its on sale at our Walmart for $10, usually $11.88. I was a skeptic at first but am so happy I switched. If I thought I was hurting my child in anyway my husband or I would take a second job if we had to to buy the name brand, but it isnt necessary. They also have an Organic brand :)

      • morticiainpink

        I mean Parents Choice Premium

    • Momof3

We've used Parent's Choice before, but not with my infant now. …will be happy to if I win! Thanks.

    • Migdalia

      We'd love to win. Thanks!

I would love to win this! I have a 7 month old baby so it will definitely get put to use.

    • Sarah

Would love to win this formula!

    • jackieknabusch

I agree that breast is best, however, being a new mother of 8 week old twin boys, I HAVE TRIED, and cannot produce enough for my boys, so unfortunately, i am supplementing with formula. ;0( I LOVE the bonding with my Ethan, (so called Baby A in the hospital) but I am physically unable to breastfeed my second baby as he has a severe cleft in his upper soft palate. Poor little guy. He cannot breast feed. I have even tried La Leche league and they were at a loss as well for feeding my little one, Tristan.
SO, here i am on formula. It IS extremelyl expensive, but i have been calling and leaving co mments on everybrand hoping for coupons for a struggling mommy who is not going back to work anytime soon, thus the reason I have starting couponing…(and i l ove it by the way!!!) Thanks Jenny!!!

      • moniquewhit

If you have a publix nearby join their baby club, and sign up for EVERYTHING on the name brand sites… however the Walmart brand is really great!!!! GL!

    • ardenblend

I used Parent's Choice Organic because I couldn't afford the Similac Organic formula. I loved it, and my son never had a problem with it at all. It is a great product and a great value. You can't beat the price! –even if you use mfr coupons for name brands you still come out cheaper buying Parent's Choice.

    • shall3

I would love to try Parent's Choice formula. We have a 3 1/2 month old (big) boy. I am breast feeding but we are starting to think we are going to have to start using formula too. He is going threw another growth spurt and it is getting hard to keep up with him. He is already 17lbs. HELP!!!!

    • angela l.

      I would love to win

    • Charity Courson

We use Parent's Choice formula because it is less expensive than other brands and just as good! So, we love it!

    • danielleawilson

I'm nursing, but supplement with formula. I'd love to win this.

    • Nikki

That is an awesome opportunity! This site is great!

    • Janelle

Had a miscarriage when my son was 6 months old. Was forced to give up breastfeeding. Took a real blow to the budget being forced to buy formula.

    • scobb

My doctor showed me the differences between namebrand and generic formulas. There is really no difference. He assured me that the generics were just as good.

    • Jessica

We used Parent's Choice formula for our 2nd child. Used all name brands with our first and then we got smart with # 2. Now with # 3 and I am staying at home, I am all breast….for now!

    • cc5681

I actually have wondered about the differences between the national brands and Wal-Mart's version. For a long time with my son I refused to give him anything but the name brand. After sitting down one night and calculating the cost, I was shocked at how much we could be saving if we went with a different product. We changed him to the Sam's club version of Enfamil gentle ease and he did great. We are expecting our second son in June and no longer have a Sam's club membership. I would love to try this version and see if he tolerates it. I would imagine the Parent's Choice Gentle would be just as good.

    • Kacie D

I am about to have baby #2 and am unable to breastfeed due to a medical condition; winning this would sure be a huge help! Thanks!

    • For a active life style in FL we love powdered formula. Its easy to take places on the go with out having to bring the cooler bag around. I was never one who would brestfeed in public and worryed about keeping pumped milk cool enough for the FL heat. I stoped brestfeeding now we just do premium formula and its great!!!.

    • marie johns

Thanks for all you do Jenny. I am keeping my fingers crossed that I win. I would love a months worth of formula for my 7 month old baby girl.

    • Katie Gibson

I have had two boys very close together in age- it seemed like we were just off of the formula with the first when the second came on board! I tried breastfeeding with both my kids and gave it a serious effort, unfortunately to no avail. My husband and I are going through Financial Peace University to work out the 'kinks' in our finances and the cost formula is my biggest frustration! We have recently switched to Parent's Choice formula and LOVE it. The cost and quality are fantastic. So glad to see you post about this- some people think store brands are inferior, when in reality they have to hold to the same standards as the name brands.
I would love to win the free formula- what a blessing that would be!

    • Lynn

This is my first child and hopefully breast feeding will work out but if not it is good to know about the different formulas.

    • Lynn

This is my first child and hopefully breast feeding will work out but if not it is good to know about the different formulas.

    • valj16171

Thanks for the giveaway, would love to win!

    • Kristy

I would love to win! My daughter was breastfed but I know someone who is a teen and is pregnant and lives with her parents in a trailer park and they are already living paycheck to paycheck, I'd LOVE to be able to give this to them.

    • vgwagoner

My friend is due at the end of this month with twins. She fed her other LO with PC and is hoping that these 2 boys will be able to eat it too. I requested a sample for her.

    • valerie

I have a 9 month old daughter and would LOVE to win the formula :)

    • laurenjohnson311

Formula is soo expensive. It is great to know that the store brand has been proven to be just as good as the name brand!!

    • scmommy

Excited about another giveaway, thanks Jenny! This would be a nice thing to win. :-)

    • shan7sea

I would love free formula for a month. Thanks so much for posting this article!

    • Katie

Whee! I'm expecting my third bundle of joy and have started stockpiling formula. I only supplement with formula, so a month's supply would stretch out into an awesome godsend!

    • Lauren

I think you shoud pick me for the winner :)

    • Tiffany Crosby

My baby is due soon, and FREE formula would be great!

    • bkhargett

I have been using Parent's Choice Premium for my daughter since I stopped breastfeeding when she was 4 months old. She is healthy, happy, and hitting every one of her milestones, so I don't see the point in spending twice as much on formula. Thanks for this post!!

    • baumera

It's funny because I was just discussing this with my sister yesterday….how Enfamil is 2x the cost of Parent's Choice and that I really need to compare ingredients and see what the difference is. Enfamil's research would have you believe there is a significant difference when there actually is none (except the high price!) I am switching!!!

    • bonnie

I pumped exclusively for my daughter for 13 months, and breastfed my son for 15 months. I totally believe breastmilk is best, but there are many cases where the mother has to choose what is right for their baby. One of my best friends is now trying to find the best formula for her son, and i know she is doing the right thing for him. i would love to win the formula for her, so that she can do the best thing. :)

    • Alison

I just started supplementing because I'm back at work now, and I don't produce enough for the baby.. I'd love free forumla!

    • Amy L

We go through a can every 5 days so this would be amazing to win!

    • Sarah

Hope we win! My 5 month old will be changing from breast to bottle soon. I just found your site and find it to be very helpful in planning my weekly grocery trips. Thanks!

    • Katie

Anything cheap or free is great in my book. My baby is 6 months old & I would love to win! :)

    • Rebecca

I used PC with our first son because I could not nurse. Now with our second son I still can't nurse and we use whatever store brand we find the best deal on. I would love to win! Thanks Jenny for all you do on here! We are saving almost $200 a month with the hard work you provide! If you didnt make couponing so easy I don't know that I would do it. THANKS!

    • MeghatronsMom

I have several friends who are due in the next few months. nice gift to give them

    • rachelbarker

I am a new mom and new to couponing. I started breast feeding, but my son was not gaining enough weight, so we have been supplimenting since 3 weeks (he is now 2 months). My husband and I both worked in non-proffit, but due to the recent econemy I lost my job but, couponing has allowed me to stay home with my baby, and I am so thankful for that and for your website! I will definately try parents choice formula. Thanks!

    • melissajones

thanks for the formula specials and hosting the contest!

    • Jessica

I would have loved to dothe cheap formula but my kids had a protein allergy so we had to do the expensive stuff.

    • Gagril78

Have a 6 month old he was breastfeed till i went back to work at 3 months. Daycare used PC so we started him on it have had no problems. A 30 day supply would be unbelieveable! My chunky little boy likes to eat.

    • Tara

I breastfed my first til he was about 6 months, and boy did we notice the price when we went to ALL formula! I tried Parents Choice, and I mean literally TRIED it. I not pnly compared all the ingredients, but I also mixed some and tasted it in comparison the the Similac we had been using. I actually thought the PC tasted a little creamier and sweeter (which is more like breastmilk), and my son loved it. Of course we loved the savings, I highly recommend it!

    • tylab

      Me.Me.Me. I want to win!

    • bdvcarter

I would love to win a free supply. My baby loves the gentle parent choice.

    • Sam

I recently started weening with 2 months to go to my daughters 1st birthday. It has been a shock to our pocket book, having to buy formula again!!!! This could help get me to the 12 month mark!

    • Michelle

Awesome giveaway! My son is 7 months old and although I primarily breast feed, we do supplement with formula and use it to make his cereal. This supply would get us through his first year!

    • momof1

I don't need the formula, but I just wanted to chime in after reading everyone's posts. I am currently a nutritionist with the WIC program. Just to ease anyone's minds..all infant formula are regulated by the government (FDA). The only thing that is allowed to vary between house and national brands in flavoring, which is minor. This is the same for all formulas, the only change is the nice label they place on the front. The important thing is milk based, soy based, or hypoallergenic (as this dictates the protein used in the formula). I will tell any new mom's that BREAST IS BEST, but for those choosing otherwise, any formula choice you make is the same.

Choosing a different formula is like choosing a different soda. There is no difference between Pepsi and Coke except taste, you may like one over the other, but there isn't any benefit to drinking one over the other and they affect the body the same!

    • Beth

I would love to win the formula! Thank you Jenny for all you do!

    • Allison

Love Parent's Choice!! My first son had refulx and would only tolerate Nutramigen. We were finally able to switch him to this and it is the only other he tolerated. With my new son…we are using it too! :)

    • Jessi

I would love to win this :) Thank you so much for all the great giveaways that you do!

    • bamagal

I have used their formula and never had any problems with it. I think that it works just as well as the name brands.

    • Kathryn

      Yay for free formula!

    • Tisha

Would love this to take to a food bank I volunteer at. So many women come in needing formula for their babies.

    • new2qs

I always used PC until I started using this website. I then tried the national brands with coupons, but I still find that I get more for my money with PC so I've gone back to it. My kids are some of the healthiest kids I know so I believe it is just as good as the national brands. Thank you so much for this opportunity…..it would be so wonderful!!!

    • aimeehenderson

oh free formula…what a great way to start off next moth's grocery budget!!

      • Jill

With publix taking competors coupons, store coupons, mf coupons and checks all together I never spent more than 5 dollars for a large can of Enfamil formula….It even worked out better when I got the baby club coupons. My friends, family, and co-workers that did not use Enfamil would send or give me theirs. My daughter is almost a year and the last time I bought a large can of formula I only spent one dollar. It works out if you buy in advance and get it when it is on sale and stock up and keep it that way just like the groceries

    • bwhite1

I am a mother of a 2 year old. I breast fed him for as long as I could (9 1/2 mth.), but eventually wasn't able to supply him with the amount that he needed. At first, I “had to have the best” for my baby and used Enfamil. After buying that for 2 weeks and seeing how very expensive it was, I decided to compare the Enfamil ingredients and amounts to Parents Choice Formula…NO DIFFERENCE! I very quickly decided that it was just as good to use the Parents Choice brand and I switched. My son is very healthy. I am now pregnant again, expecting in November. What a blessing it would be to win FREE formula!!! Thanks for all you do Jenny

    • amy

I have used it in the past and it has been great! I have been using Enfamil with my 3rd b/c I have been able to get great coupons with it. I really could use this!

    • bak123

my baby takes to PC just fine! i love their new varieties, esp the advantage.

    • Abby

We love the Parent's Choice formula!

    • moniquewhit

I would LOVE to give this to someone! Right now we are stockpiled on formula for our new baby, but I am always meeting a pregnant teen/new teen mom, and would enjoy being able to give it away!

    • Diane

My grandchild uses Parents Choice with no ill effects. Mom discussed with the doctor and was given the go ahead.

    • Erin

I would love to win this formula! Thanks!

    • wendylett

My son is 9 months old and since I went back to work in Feb. he has been on Parent's Choice gentle. I love it b/c it is easy on his stomach and very affordable!!!

    • Sarabigod

We would love to win this one!! Thanks!!

    • Kelly Hall

We are expecting our fourth child soon and I would love to win some free quality formula. Thank you for posting about this because I doubt I would have ever tried Parents Choice otherwise.

    • slw584

I have been using PC for the past several months for my little boy and it has worked out really well for us. I love it because he loves it and it is so much cheaper than name-brand formulas. What a great product!!

    • Kristen

Oh PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE choose me for the formula giveaway! I also leave comments for these and have never won…but boy would I LOVE to win this one. I have a 2 and a half year old son and another baby due in 3 months. I've been stocking up on diapers, but I know from previous experience the dent the formula can put in our household budget. I nursed with my first son and plan to do that with the second, but once I return to work I won't be able to and so these coupons would really help!!! I've been an avid Southern Savers fan for 6 months and really appreciate all you do. Thank you!

    • Melissa

I love Parent's Choice brand. Three girls in three years…the diapers are great!!

    • Brenda

My granddaughter, Sydney Paige, will be born April 22, 2010. Would love to win the formula to help Mom and Dad out.

    • Michele W.

Free formula would be great. My husband lost his job 8 weeks before my due date and was out of work until our daughter was 3 months old. To top this my company merged and I lost all of my leave and had to take maternity leave with no pay while having several thousands of dollars in medical expenses due to a difficult pregnancy. We are just getting back on our feet somewhat and this would help a lot. Our daughter is now almost 7 months old and healthy. Talk about an answered prayer.

    • goobie

I would love to win this free formula for my sister in law who is on her third child and her husband is in Afghanistan right now. I don't have the funds in which to help her financially right now – since we just had a miscarriage of our own and now we have fertility problems which is not easy to deal with especially emotionally or financially as well. I just would love to be able to give this to her since I am only able to help in the way of coupons at this moment. Sorry to unload all this it has just been a long, painful and exhausting road for awhile now – and looking for some much needed relief.

    • mika

I am currently breastfeeding but having to supplement as well. The free formula would be wonderful! Thank you.

    • Kelli B.

I have a four week old and this would be awesome!

    • Cindy

I would love to be able to get some formula for my two new grandchildren.

    • i would love free formula for a month! i have a nine month old son who eats like paul bunyan. I just started following southernsavers and have my own coupon collection going. i am trying to save any where possible. thanks for the great tips and info jenny!

    • Tabatha

My company just merged and I have been given notice that my job will end in 4 months. So having a formula that is cheaper, or FREE would be great, is a wonderful way for us to save some money in preparation for my job loss.

    • saveeliz

Thanks for the giveaway! My hubby and I are so blessed by 2 little ones…..we have 2 under 2! They are my joy but they eat up a dollar with all the formula, diapers, and wipes we buy! : ) I am a huge Member's Mark formula fan….you really can't beat Sam's and WalMart's formula prices…..my pediatrician told me that they are the exact same formulas…..made in the same factory!!! I have done ALLLLL the calculations for using various combinations of formula coupons and checks and nothing is ever as cheap as the Member's Mark brand at Sam's.

Loveeeee your blog! THANK YOU for all your hard work! : )

    • Patti

What a great prize to win. I always used name brand with my first child but my not be able to afford to do that with the second. This would be a great way to try out the formula and maybe make it my brand of choice.

    • Annie

I love Parents Choice! I was using Enfamil for the first few months but my sister turned me onto PC and I haven't looked back! My baby absolutely loves it and it's the same formula as Enfamil only cheaper! I always recommend to anyone who is having a baby.

    • Terri

I am currently nursing/supplementing our sixth baby. I've always used Parent's Choice. The name brand formula is such a racket! I have never used one of their coupons. So thankful there is another option and a good one! Would love to have some free formula! Thanks!

    • sandy208

I would love to win this for my daughter, she just recently had to stop breast feeding and was so disappointed at having to do that. Maybe, this would help her ease into bottle feeding.
      I am a daily subscriber.

    • sandy208

I would love to win this for my daughter, who has recently had to give up breast feeding. Maybe, this would make her transition a little easier

    • AKellyinVA

What a great product to give away! We just had a little guy who is on PC. Made the switch from Premium to Gentle, and it's been a great switch for him. We'd love to win the formula.

    • Regia

my baby love this formula and I do to (save a lot money vs named brand)

    • lishjansen

I know my sister uses this brand to save money, and she is very pleased with PC. I wish I would have tried it with my two girls!

    • stiffy2005

Hi Jenny! I was going to submit this comment for myself to win the formula but after reading the comments I want to vote (I realize this isn't a voting game but roll with me;)) for Meagan who works for teen moms. She said “I work with Teen Moms and WIC has cut formula by A LOT. Most of my girls are having to buy formula. I have an amazing 13 year old who has decided to try Parent's choice. She does not have internet or she would do this so this is me submitting on her behalf. She has a 5 month old gorgeous little man who she would love the month's supply of formula for.”
I think that's great and hope she wins to help that teen mom out:)

    • Robin stout

Great piece of information! Thanks and would love love love to try it out for FREE!

    • michelecarmichael

I have a Grandson living with me and we gave him Parent's choice and really loved it. Now I have a co-worker who is expecting and I feel bad for her. She is a young single college girl with very minimal financial resources. I have been trying to gather as many things for her as I can and I think this would be a big help to her.

    • hollyvenable

This formula is great. We get the premium! Every dime counts for us, as it does for all, and when you are trying to stay home with your kids on a very modest budget, you try to find every way to save. Thank God for this website literally. After doing the research, this formula is just as safe and nutritious as the leading brands! Hope we win!!

    • Yippee for saving money!!!

    • tbbreyman

Every mothers situation is different, and I think people should be more open to what others may need to do. I nursed my first daughter for three months, and after every feeding she screamed and had a horrible rash. We later found out she was having an allergic reaction to dairy bi-products, and anytime I had ANYTHING with dairy she would have a reaction (there is very little food out there that does not contain dairy, even a slice of bread caused a reaction!) In order to insure she would not have further reactions and potentially be allergic for life, we had to switch to Nutrimagen which is extremely expensive. When she turned 9 months we were finally able to switch her to PC Soy and we have no complaints. And for those that think formula will make your child sick or effect there mental abilities, I can tell you that is not true. Look at our situation, our daughter started to become healthier after we switched to formula, and she is a healthy and very bright two year old (she knows all her shapes, letters, numbers to 20, colors, and can even read some words). Everyone's circumstances are different and we should be more understanding to people's needs and opinions. New mothers should never feel guilty for doing what they need to, and sometimes formula IS the best (or only) option for baby and mother!

    • Charity

I tried Parents Choice for the first time two weeks ago. We were on vacation visiting my best friend in Mobile and the closest store was Walmart. They didn't have the brand I normally buy so I had to get Parents Choice Gentle. We are weaning our son off of Soy and onto Milk Based. Anyway, he actually did MUCH better with the Parents Choice! I was VERY pleased!!!

    • dmphillips

My baby girl was nursed until she was 7 1/2 months. My milk supply evaporated about the same time that I went back to work. I was very determined to breastfeed for the first year of her life but sometimes things don't go the way you plan. Once I ran out of the Similac Advanced samples that we got from the hospital, my sister suggested using the Parent's Choice brand since she has used it with both her children (who are smart as whips and have the most beautiful blue eyes). I am a very proud Aunt! I have had no issues and finally realized that just because Parent's Choice is a store brand versus a national brand does not mean that it does not provide the same nutrients as other national brand formulas. If you are in doubt, compare the ingredients and labels for a list of the nutrients and vitamins.

    • teacherjae

I need formula for 30 days. I am having twins

    • Rachelle

This is really good information to know. Thanks for sharing.

    • Bethany

As first time “mom” who is expecting…I could definitely use this giveaway…I plan to breastfeed, but am wise enough to know that many people have to suppliment breast milk with formula.

    • Leah_in_SC

I would love to win free formula for my son!

    • Stacey S

I love parent's choice! I used it for my first 2 children and am expecting my 3rd in May! =)

    • miriamyd

i just started using formula (i dried up!) and would love to try the advantage formula.
my baby doesn't like the taste of either similac or enfamil, apparently i was pretty tasty!

    • Kory

Parent's Choice Premium is all we've used with my daughter – it's a great, affordable alternative to the other brands!!!

    • Dawn

I'm having my first little boy this month and will nurse until July when I have surgery to remove my ever-painful Nuss bars (chest wall repair, Nuss surgery in 7/08). Free formula would be wonderful as I won't be able to nurse after the surgery!

    • kris

So far, my son has become sick on every formula we have tried except Similac Sensitive.(all kinds of Good Start, regular Similac, Alimentum, Up and Up). I can't breastfeed any more, because I had to go back on a medication that would honestly kill him. We only got to make it about 5.5 weeks, before I became ill again. I'm picking up some Parent's Choice tonight to try, because so many people have recommended it who switched over to it from Similac

    • would love to win this! expecting my first in a few months and although I plan to breastfeed, i will be supplementing some!

    • Tricia

      I would love to win

    • hooper401

      Would love to win.

    • Laura

I breast fed my son till he was 9mo. old. He was having a lot of trouble gaining weight after surgery and the doctor put him on formula. Boy did that increase our grocery spending! I was floored. I finally wised up and found Parents Choice. He loves it and I love the price! Thanks for the sample and the chance to win!

    • sheasquier

      I'll give it a shot!

    • Jessica

I would LOVE to win a month worth of formula!!!

    • Kelly Brooks

I would love to win PC formula!!!! If you put Mylicon drops in it, it doesn't foam as much!

    • bethsw

I used Parents Choice formula for my 2nd child with no problems. Now the my 3rd is 4mo's old and I have stopped breastfeeding, I've been using Targets Up and Up brand. They have a value size (40oz) can for about $17. I haven't been into Walmart in several months to check how the prices compare.

    • kbribelin

      What a great idea!

I have only been associated with your site for about 3 weeks now and have already seen such an amazing difference in our family's grocery budget!
Ive been able to give so many items away that I hunted for that were free! Learning to be frugal so you can help others is so rewarding!

My mom is on the board of a local pregnancy help center and I would love to give the center this free formula!

      Thank you Jenny!

    • skgaff

Wow! Awesome giveaway! My son likes this brand.

    • jordynirwin

I have just switched to formula and my sister in law uses Parents Choice Gentle. She told me to try it because it is just as good as the name brands and cheaper as well. It has been great! Thanks for the chance to win free formula!!

    • bethanyoshel

I was not successful at breastfeeding with any of my 3 children. We recently (4 wks ago)had our 3rd child and he is eating Enfamil Premium. My other 2 children were given Parents Choice formula and they are very healthy and bright. So we plan to change our “lil man” over to PC as soon as we use up the enfamil that was given to us as gifts :) Price helps a lot too :) :)

Formula is soo expensive, a month off from buying would be nice!

We like Parent's Choice but have been buying the store brand at Sam's (Maker's Mark), because it costs less and is supposedly the same. Thanks for the contest!

I am a volunteer with the Women's Resource Center in my county, and I'd love to take this formula over to them!

Wow! I don't want to get in on all the arguments about how to feed my baby, but I would love some free formula. Due to a hormonal deficiency, I have had to begin supplementing breastfeeding with formula and boy is it expensive! PICK ME, PLEASE!!!

    • I would love to win this for my son who's a single dad.

I believe that breastfeeding is best when it is an option, but I had problems after my last two pregnancies and had to stop around 3-4 months. That was extremely hard for me, only made more difficult by the not-too-subtle criticism of other moms. Formula is extremely expensive, which only made things worse, so I am always looking for pointers on how to get it as inexpensively as possible. Thanks, Jenny!

We would love to try the Parent's Choice formula! We have been using Similac, but like you said, even with coupons and checks from the manufacturer, it is hard to imagine the savings would be the same.

I am very interested in saving money as well as everyone else using this site. As the grandparent of twins, we see our children stretching their budget and would lov to be able to help. The twins are already using two different formulas and they are only two months old! Thank you for all that you do with the site. As we are newbies and are still getting our feet wet. One week into couponing.
