Any suggestions on what one can do if their regular Publix store(s)never carry any of these booklets? (Thank you for the recent link to request our own copy of Multiply Your Meals and Beatiful Benefits!) Wondering if requesting local management to order these booklets for display at their information center is worthwhile? Have asked the Customer Service counter at a few locations and usually get a ‘Lady, are you drunk?’ look in response and staff has usually never heard of any of the ones I’ve asked for …

    • gtdad

Bah, humbug! Guess none of these good coupon booklets are going to make their way to Winder, GA.

      • MrsJJ

This booklet is actually old, i think i grabbed some the week of superbowl here in central fl.

        • This is actually a new version of the old booklet. Most of the original coupons expired 2/28. So maybe you will find the second version in your area too!

          • MrsJJ

Oh OK. The publix close to me are always the last ones to get these booklets i'll have to venture out again. lol they just received the healthy meals one.

    • Crystal2756

Sorry, I know I shouldn't post this here…. but I'm sure someone will see it and answer :) I received a Save-A-Lot coupon booklet in the mail, all manufacters coupons. We don't have a save-a-lot in Hampton Roads at all to my knowledge. Since they are manufacter's coupons I should just cut off the “save-a-lot” logo and be fine right? I know if I leave it no cashier will take it, well except Harris Teeter, one of the few stores here who never hassles me about my coupons!

      • xxstitcherxx61

i had a coupon from kroger one time and i did the same thing cut off the kroger logo and my walmart would not take it because it looked like i tampered with the coupon. i got those same savealot coupons and course there's not one any where around here but if u cut off the logo , u would be cutting off the corner of the coupon and may make it worthless.

      • Kelley

I used one at CVS with no problem.

      • michelle

Publix took mine once but hassled me about it and checked first with a csm. I wouldn't try another there again. I did use one at Family Dollar once without any problems.

        • stefluvs2sign

Publix Corporate stated they take ALL competitors coupons that is the way I get around when they don't believe that the Wags RR's are manufacturer I then say “Well it doesn't really matter does it since you accept ALL competitors” that usually shuts them up

          • Carol

A “competitor” is a traditional grocery store which operates in the general area of a Publix store. Drug stores are not a traditional competitor and for most stores, neither is Super-Target. Each Publix store is different based on the area.

            • stefluvs2sign

The manager at my store said Target was not a competitor until they became a Super Target so now they are competition. Also, in our area we have a CVS and Walgreens on every street corner and since they sell all items (grocery, beauty, drug, pet, laundry, etc) she indicated they are competitors. She stated coupon policies are the same for all stores but since Publix is so large unfortunately not all employees know all of the rules. This is true bc the other Publix 5 min up the road does not know their own policies. She suggested I email corporate and get the response via email and print it and keep it with my coupons to show the cashier in case there are any problems at their other locations.

            • alenavictoria

My Publix in GA takes all competitors coupons , even Target!! I checked with customer service desk first…..

      • Tina

Hello I am in Hampton Roads & we have a Save-A-Lot in Portsmouth I have used those coupons at Harris Teeter. Farm Fresh is a maybe they would't accept the Kraft q's that had Food Lion logo on Wed – would not even scan them. I know they work. Anyway HTH :-)

        • Crystal2756

Thanks everyone! Really? theres a save-a-lot here? I had no idea… And I've lived in Hampton Roads 22 years, then again I also use to drive from Norfolk to VB for Harris Teeter until I realized there was a nice little Harris Teeter 5 minutes from my house :)

          • Michelle

Try pointing out that 1) It doesn't say that it has to e redeemed at Sav-A-Lot and 2) that it is a manufacturer coupon….IF they give you a problem. It can't hurt to ask. Or you can just go to the service desk and ask. But personally, I wouldn't remove the Logo for fear of voiding the coupon as another suggested.

I just e-mailed Publix as to why I NEVER see coupon booklets or advantage fliers in my Upstate, SC stores. (sigh) Likely to get a generic response.

      • S_Carolina_Girl

I e-mailed customer service and they forwarded it to my local store. However, the store doesn't have any of the coupons I need, so I wouldn't hold my breath. I e-mailed them twice about the 2010 calendar and they forwarded it to my local store, even though I told them they didn't have them. Publix customer service is not what it used to be. =(

      • shelly

I am wondering the same thing. I've asked my store manager about it and they acted like it's hq's fault for not sending them. So, i don't know who to contact about the booklets. does anybody know??? can we just request Publix to send copies to the stores or us??

      • kayborkowski

I am in Simpsonville and have the same problem with finding booklets. Some cs haven't even heard of some of them. BUT he is a great manager, yesterday there were no Red Baron pizza at all in store….he told the cashiers to give any of the pizzas at B1G1! I try not to abuse our Publix. At the same time, we are from So. Fla and the customer service has definitely gone down from the level it used to be.

    • Isabella

My Publix didn't make it easy to find these booklets. I happen to notice a small stack in the corner where they were bagging my grocerys.

      • qcrazynana

My Publix (douglasville, ga) has to keep all coupon booklets at the service desk now. There used to always be lots of booklets where the sale papers are. There are two women(sisters)who have been coming in and taking everything they can get there greedy hands on. They go home and cut out the coupons and come back and wipe out entire endcaps of merchandise. They have regularly filled 2 whole shopping carts with items from endcaps that are on sale that they can get free. I worry that greed like this will end coupon shopping for the rest of us who are just trying to help our families survive in this economy. It is disgusting.

        • tonja

Hey.. we have that problem in our area too.. and now ALL the cashiers are getting testy about the coupons.. not fair… I told a manager yesterday in my regular store.. that I dont appreciate being treated like a second class citizen because I use coupons.. the cashier I had actually threw the coupons down and said “I cant do this”.. I hate coupons.. this is too many.. bla bla bla.. thats when I requested the manager.. and he told her that I was right.. I had used a Target with a Manufactor for cheese..anyways.. the manager then explained to me that they were having a problem with a couple couponers who were abusing the system.. so. long story short.. greedy people and abusers can mess things up for couponers that are doing the right thing.. and useing their coupons correctly.. its a shame.. thanks for letting me vent.. :)

          • emilyinalabama

I agree completely with you on other couponers who are getting greedy are ruining it for those that NEED to grocery shop this way to SURVIVE! I play by the rules and only buy what my family will use in about 3 weeks. Take for example, I wanted to get 2 six pack jello mouse temptations for my kids to have in their lunchboxes/snacks, but nnoooo. someone came and bought ALL of them. not a single one left ( got a raincheck). The dairy guy was nice enough to check in the back for me, but to no avail. I really wish they would put a limit on things, I think then it would allow everyone to get a deal, a generous limit, but a limit. Who needs 15 six packs of chocolte pudding?! thats ridiculous!

            • gery220

the Duggar Family.. 18 and countung..anyways thought you would laugh..I know how u feel.

            • emilyinalabama

lol. I know we live in the bible belt, but im glad they dont live around here, they would ruin the coupon fun for EVERYONE..I wonder if they are couponers though?

            • 3monkeysmom

I've only ever seen them shopping at Aldi on the show :-)

        • sm

Which Publix Hwy 5 or Chapel Hill?

          • qcrazynana

The “sisters” hit all the area Publix stores in Douglasville. At least that is what one of the Assistant Managers told me at Hwy5.

    • crystalbrothers

The Save-A-Lot comments are interesting because that is the ONLY chain grocery in my town and I have never received coupons from them in the mail? Weird. I guess it's regional who those SAL manufacturer coupons go out to.

Also, sometimes they are marked incorrectly I think because the Rite-Aid video values are marked “manufacturer coupon” at the top, but then the fine print says it can only be used at Rite-Aid, but sometimes they won't let you stack it with a real manufacturer coupon.

      • Crystal2756

I can't remember exactly how- but on the save-a-lot website I entered my information in a coupon section and somehow the booklet showed up at my door. Wish I could be more specific- but maybe if you play with the site you can get the booklet too :)

    • Wis

I've kind of given up on Publix booklets. I just got really really lucky two weeks ago to find the Morningstar Farms booklet at the CS desk – just by chance and I had to nearly beg for it. I rarely see any booklet Jenny mentions around “my” Publix store. Not sure this is the place for this question, but I'm suffering from complete burnout anyway – it seems like all I buy is cereal, pasta sauce, Pillsbury products, and yogurt – an exaggeration, of course, but it seems it's always the same group of products in the coupon inserts, or if online, I always miss the deal. I must be missing some key element to couponing if after four months I feel like we're always eating the same foods. Sorry to complain, it's just been one of those weeks (sick kids!).

    • Ellen

Had to giggle at this…I guess you need the Tums after using the Bush's?

    • I found this Wednesday at the Alabaster Alabama Store

      • SPH

Hi, sorry for this question, but WHAT did you find at Alabaster, AL store? I'm within 1hr from there and my Publix NEVER has the coupon booklets mentioned either! It is frustrating!

    • brandielee1

well….i get more and more frustrated everydaymy publix never has coupon books! i mean never! I've talked to the manager about and he seems absoloutely clueless…I live in inverness, florida and am wondering if anyone near me find these coupons ior has suggestions or solutions?

    • traylyne

Went to Publix today and the cashier pointed out they have a new coupon policy when it comes to B1G1 – you are only allowed to use 6 coupons for B1G1 items in a transaction.

    • traylyne

Shopped at Pulix in Spring Hill, TN today and they have a new policy on coupons….you are limited to use only 6 coupons for B1G1 in a transaction.

Hi, I contacted Publix through the ‘contact us’ link on their website. She was very helpful, she emailed me (copy of the email below) and had the booklet sent to me through the mail. Some of the sales that the booklets would have gone great with were already over by then but this tells me that going to the directly to the manufacturer/vendor is a possibility in getting these coupon booklets if necessary…aAnd maybe lighting a low warm, toasty flicker of fire underneath the rude store managers XXXXXs.

Hey guys, I don't know if anyone has said anything, but the publixs in charleston,sc and its area no longer take harvery coupons. They only take local competitors. Just a heads up.

      • pamela

Wanted to let you know here in Mt. Plastic (Pleasant)…..the publix over in Queensborough shopping center was a major headache today…..would not even take their own $5.00 off coupon….even though I had $45+ in groceries and other coupons, one of the managers said since the total would go below the $30.00 mark after coupons we are not able to take the $5.00 off Q…….I left without buying anything……so frustrating!

    • newcouponer

I just wanted to throw out a website where you can find the Publix coupons that come from the booklets. http://www.couponclipper.com For a small fee you can find most coupons that are currently out including manufacturer and retailer. I find it worth the cost if you can get your items for little to no cost.

      • heurhe

where did people get this coupons??are they those people that get all of them at the stores and live the rest of us without?just a question thanks!

        • newcouponer

I guess. I don't know where she gets them from but she usually has plenty
to go around. She don't send you the booklets just the individual coupons
that you request. When you go to the website do a search for Publix. Hope
          this helps!

          • heurhe

            thanks :)
