The new Green Advantage Buy Flyer is out and starts today at all Publix stores!  The advantage buy flyers are kept near the weekly ad’s right as you walk in the door.  It is filled with store coupons and then lists products that will be on sale all month.

The sales are not every much to get excited about.  It is the coupons that are more useful.  Stacking a Publix coupon and a manufacturer coupon together can make for some great deals.  Some weeks it will get even better if these items go on sale.

**Remember just because they put it in an ad does not mean you should buy it.  Most Health and Beauty items will never be a good price at a Grocery store, I have listed some items that with a coupon are decent prices.**

For the currently weekly Publix deals go here.

    • Hooray! Thanks, I was just about to leave for Publix, when I noticed this had been posted! Guess I’ll add a few more things to my list!

    • paige

how do you calculate %. Lets say spent 6.88 and saved 26.74 what percentage did I save?

    • paige

thanks for any help I can get

    • Kim

Thank you! My stores don’t have the flyers out yet.

    • lynn

coupons.com has 2.00 off dry idea

    • Kim

Add your Spent Amount to your Saved Amount to get you Total Value. Divide your Saved Amount by the Total Value Amount. Yours would be:
      $6.88 + $26.74 = $33.62
      $26.74/$33.62 = 79.54%

    • There is a $2 Prep H printable at their website

    • lynn

there is a 1 dollar off coupon on coupons.com for for a j and jred cross first aid brand adhesive pad plus neosprin

    • Angela W

I must be pretty well stockpiled! None of these items really leap out at me as deals I gotta have.
The weekly sale prices are great on a lot of stuff we use- ready for the penny item tomorrow!
Thanks for all your work compiling these lists, Jenny!

    • paige

thank you so much kim :)

    • tonya

what zip code did you type in. it’s not coming up for my zip code.

    • Kim

      Tonya, try 30189.

    • Yumi

I am right outside of Atlanta GA – when I tried to stack a Publix coupon with a manufacturer’s coupon (I think it was for diapers) the cashier said that they didn’t do that. Has anyone had luck with this in Atlanta, GA or not? I don’t recall specifically which type of Publix coupon it was, but just wanted to check on this before I go in again. Thanks.

    • Jan

I am north of Atlanta and yes they do stack store coupons and Man.Q…Call the corporate office to confirm…the district manager will call you back and will also call the store to be sure they are following this policy….at least this is the experience I had with this same issue…Hope it works out for you.

    • I am northwest of Atlanta and I have no problems stacking store and manufacturer coupons. Just make sure it is not 2 manufacturers coupons

    • DORA

I live in west metro Atlanta. The Publix I use has a print out of their coupon rules. You may need to talk to the store manager.

    • Shannon in ATL

I am south of Atlanta and have no problem stacking, I would talk to the manager next time.

    • MiniMidgMom

FYI, if you reached your print limit with 7th generation last month, it is not reset for this month. I guess it’s limited per promotion, not per month.

    • Sharon

First Thanks for all the wonderful deals you post each week, I just copy what I need and ready to go…. Saves alot of time

My question is how are you stacking a Publix coupon with a manufactures when it states on the Publix coupon “May not be used in conjunction with any other coupon” I have tried this several times in Lexington and each time I’m told you can’t use a manufacture or any other coupon with a Publix coupon that is fraud

Is the story different at each store?

    • Lynn

What Katherine said… store and manufacturer coupons should stack, but not all coupons appearing in Publix flyers are true store coupons, even if they say “Redeem at Publix.” A Publix store coupon will typically have “L.U. #” on it, and no barcode.

    • Laurie

Do you know if it is the Publix corporate policy to match competitor’s advertised prices? For example, will Publix (or should Publix) match Kroger’s price for Nutrigrain bars for 2.18? I have the Publix coupon and a manufacturers coupon and was hoping they would match Kroger’s price on top of the 2 coupons. Thanks.

    • Publix doesn’t do price matching. They just honor competitor coupons.

    • Marci

This was new to me–my Publix was out of the Advantage Buy flyers today–manager told me if there was any I would have used to let the cashier know, and they would take the coupon amount off. Don’t know if this is policy everywhere, but it can’t hurt to ask!

    • brenda

My Publix (150 in Hoover Ala) accepts ULTA Beauty coupons(as competetors). They carry many health and beauty items and brands same as Publix. Today’s coupon is 3.50 off 10.00. Be sure your health and beauty items total 10.00 before any coupons are presented, and they must be a brand and item that both stores carry.ULTA beauty stores are popping up in strip malls all around the country.

    • Rachel

I shop in Lexington and have never had a problem stacking. I echo what others have said…make sure it is a store Q (has the LU# and no bar code) and a manufacturer Q. FYI~Lexington no longer accepts Target or RiteAid.

    • Amy Edwards

I’m in Greenville, SC and have had problems stacking store and man. coupons. I contacted the corporate office, and they had the store manager call me. He was very polite and offered to give me a copy of the coupon policy the next time I came in . . . but he did say that they were no longer allowing store and manufacturer coupons to be used together =(. As the store coupons state “May not be used in conjunction with any other coupon”, I don’t really know how I can argue with that. If anyone is in my area and has been able to stack these (recently), please let me know which Publix you’re going to!!

    • Jennifer

I have a question about Publix but it isn’t about this ad. I got the buy one get one free coupon from Publix/Apron’s/Kraft for the new flavors of cream cheese. I just printed a $.75/1 coupon from the same site where I registered to get the coupon. Can I buy two and use 1 bogo coupon and 1 $.75/1 coupon? Or would that be using two coupons for one item?

I’m confused. Also, if it matters I shop at the Lex, SC store usually.

Oh and by the way, I FINALLY found some Publix coupon flier things at the store in the vista yesterday. Apparantly all the stores in the Cola area have had trouble with someone going in and taking all of them. I mean like one person taking the entire stack. SO NOT COOL.

Now maybe I’ll actually be able to get some deals instead of this rude individual who is hoarding all of this stuff and keeping others from being able to get any of the Publix flier deals.

I’m really sorry to have gone off on a tangent Jenny but this has really been bothering me.

      • Jenny

As long as you buy two items you can use both coupons! I know your frustration. My Publix now has to keep the Advantage Buy Fliers behind customer service because of someone taking the entire stack :(

    • Jennifer

Thank you for your help Jenny! I can’t wait to try this. I’ve been wanting to try my hand at homemade bagels and this is the perfect excuse. :-) Oh this website makes me so happy!!!!!

    • MB

In the advantage buy flyer, some of the coupons says ‘manufacturer’s coupon’ at the top with ‘Redeem at Publix’ at the bottom- and then some of the coupons say ‘store coupon’ at the top (also with ‘redeem at publix’… my question is, if it is just a manufacturer’s coupon, can it be used at other grocery stores, even though it says ‘Redeem at Publix’?
Thanks for all you do. Your many hours of hard work each day and week are making a difference for so many families!

      • Jenny

If you get a coupon at Publix with a bar code then it is a manufacturer coupon no matter what words are on it and you can use it anywhere. Even if it says redeem at. Publix distributed the coupon and would like you to use it there but you do not have to. You have a store coupon though if there is no bar code and only an LU#. Those will only work at Publix.

    • lynn

tonya u sed my zip code 34654 afrter i prited wwhat i wanted it gave me a list of more coupons that one was near the end good luck

    • JODI

ok so i’m new to this couponing thing.. just found out the hard way that publix will not take 2 manufacturer’s coupons. i had buy tub of smart balance and get the sticks free, also i had 75 cent off coupon for the tub and its bogo this week. they will not take the 75 cent off coupon if you use the other coupon as well. dont make sense cause they are two different items.. lesson learned

    • Christy

I was told today that you can not use a mfc with an Advantage buy coupon as it states on right on the coupon that it ‘may not be used in conjunction with any other coupon’. I don’t know if that’s a new thing…I’d never noticed it before. I was unable to use 2 coupons on a reach product I purchased. I was able to stack competitor coupons and mfc on other items though(even though the cashier was not happy about doing it!)

    • Sharon

In the Lexington Store for the past several weeks, every cashier I have gotten has asked that I hand them the coupon as the item scans or to lay my coupons with the item. They have read everyone word for word. Talk about feeling like a idiot. I even told the cashier, Im not tryin to steal anything just a stay at home mom savin money. We are not talkin about just a few items, I usually have a Full Buggy each week. Now beginning to wonder if this is worth all the frustration and hassel they put you through, things have REALLY changed over the last month. What am I doing wrong???? I do 90% of my shopping at Publix and have never been treated like this. (sorry for the vent)

    • Melissa

FYI, There is a $1 off any neosporin product in the June issue of Family Circle.

    • Paula

When picking up your Advantage Buy Flyer….please only take 1 or 2. Each Publix only gets in a certain amount and we have couponers coming in and literally taking the entire stack, leaving none for fellow couponers. So please be kind and not greedy.
Remember: Read your coupons before you get to the check out to avoid your being angry or upset. Some of the Advantage Buy coupons do say right on them “not to be used in conjuction with any other coupon”. We are not trying to humiliate or be “unfair” we are doing our jobs.

    • Paula,

I have a question about the advantage buy coupons. They ALL say “may not be combined with any other coupon” yet the flyer explicitly states “look for additional savings in May 10th newspaper”. In the past and it seems still, Publix is intending for the coupons to be combined. Most of my stores interpret not to be combined with another coupon to mean a store coupon. Are you saying that these store coupons can’t be used with the manufacturer coupon?

    • donna

my publix wont take food lion, walgreens or target coupons! whats up with that! so upset!

    • Melissa

This is to Jennifer that shops at Publix in Lexington, SC. You have to go to Customer Service and ask for the coupons and they will give them to you. I read that on one of the sites. I hope that helps.

    • Melissa

Does anyone know where I can find an eight o’clock coffee coupon?

    • Inside the bag of 8 Clock Coffee :)

    • Paula

      Amy B.

It depends on what that manager will let the cashiers do. Our manager does not care if we stack the Publix coupons with Manufacturers coupons (this week). That could change, and will change if to many couponers take it to extremes. I would try, the worst that could happen is you are told no (and I will tell you many cashiers do not pay that much attention to those coupons). Technically, according to the coupon, you are not supposed to use it with ANY other coupon.

    • Hmm… that has pretty much been my experience Paula. I wish Publix would decide on some of these issues (or even the managers) and stick with their decision so we could all be better informed of what is allowed and what is not. I have seen lots of rants on here this week about my favorite store which makes me sad. Hope things get a little clearer on some of these policies soon.

    • bummed

I agree…ONE clear policy for ALL stores….this letting the manager decide deal is ridiculous….it might be this way one week and another the next….and u get one story from this cashier and another from this cashier….pick a policy already…Comment on Sharons post. That happened to me only once at Publix were the cashier matched each coupon to the item which I had NO problem with. I just hated it for the people behind me. The cashier said, “I just want to make sure you’re getting the best deal.” I said, “Right…I know you’re checking my coupons which is fine, but you’re making the people behind me wait forever.”

    • Karen

The Seventh Generation coupon in the Publix Greenwise Magazine is a Manufacturer Coupon so you can’t stack it with another manufacturer coupon. Please look at the top of the coupon to see if it’s a store coupon or a manufacturer coupon! Many of the coupons in the Publix flyers and other stores’ flyers are manufacturer coupons that can be used anywhere.

    • Dee

Publix is currently the only grocery store in my area that accepts competitor coupons. Publix cashiers are required to check everything; coupon policy has gotten much stricter, and managers are observing. The cashiers don’t care much how long other customers end up waiting if it means they’re doing their jobs correctly.

And for your information, bummed, as a cashier, I do check to make sure all of my customers are getting the best deal they can with their coupons. I make ones that shouldn’t work work, and I search for ones stuck to your packages that you may have missed. Many of your cashiers are doing this.

    • Katherine

Just an FYI deal. At my Publix at Seven Hills in Dallas GA, there is a $3 off 2 J&J red cross manu q blinkie. Can get LOTS more items free with overage when used with the Publix coupon!!

    • Laura

I am in Greenville SC and the Publix I go to will no longer allow you to use Store coupons with manufactures coupons. Due to the note that they have on them that you can’t use them in conjunction with any other offer. They are really reading over the coupons. Also with my manufactures coupons that I cut out of the newspaper. The cashier asked that since I had a lot of coupons if I would give them to him to start with so that he could count them and my items. They are getting extremely strick with their coupon policies. We are all just trying to save money!!

    • Stacey

Amy Edwards-The store in Spartanburg stacks man and store coupons no problem! They are great!

    • Amy Edwards- I use the Publix on Butler Rd in Mauldin and the one in Simpsonville. They have both stacked coupons for me just in the last week. I actually did it last night at the one in Mauldin.

    • I have to agree with Paula in post #43, please only take a few flyers, other people want to save money too and I bet some of those end up in the trash.

Thank you Jenny for all the hard work you do. I am new to the coupon thing and I am so excited. Not only do I save my family money but I am able to help my family out as I stockpile. You are a blessing to me.

    • Alison V.

here’s a link to a $1 off coupon for kid’s motrin that can be used with the one in advantage flyer!

    • Deena

Does anyone know what will be available in the new ad starting 5/30? I picked up on this really late, but after my husband was given a $4/$20 at Kroger and I scanned my available coupons and went to Publix. Paid a fraction of the normal costs and tried out a couple of new products that I would have never paid full price for due to adv. deals.
