I print things from Coupons.com all the time, but tonight whenever I try it tells me they do not support my printer or its settings. I follow the error instructions, but always get the same message. Does anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it?

      • Anonymous

Sometimes you just need to restart your browser or computer and it works fine.

    • Amy B.

      Great deal on Dulcolax ;P

      • so funny, you are…

      • sars

      Thanks Jenny!

      • Silent E

It says “unknown error occurred” when I try to print my list, and it's not my printer. What's up?

        • Silent E

          Nevermind! BTW, 1st 3 times! :)

What coupon is the 6/2 sundown vit coupon? I can't seem to find it!

      • Danyeln

It is in the Green Flyer that is usually found in the turnstile where the weekly ad copies are kept.

    • Sean

There are 2 store coupons in the Winn Dixie Fall Savings booklet that match up:

-$1/2 Glade Candles ($.49 ea. when stacked w/ $1.50/2 Jar Candles)
-$1/2 Angel Soft Bath Tissue 9 pack Mega Roll or larger

Also, there is a MQ in the Albertsons Big Book of Savings 11/3 – 11/30:

      • It is in the one that started Saturday.

      • Angelacason14

        it's the new one

    • Guest

The fridge/frozen section wasn't working for me on the printable list. Not sure if it was just me or it can be fixed. Thank you for your wonderful site!

      • RachelM

        I'm having the same problem.

      • Lisa J.

        No working for me either.

      • LizM

I can't get it work for me either

    • crystal

I looked in my store and can not find the Harvest savings coupon book. Where do I get it?

      • Danyeln

Try asking at Customer service, some times they have books there.

        • Crystal

      • Marina115

That booklet was out last month so I'm not sure if they still have them around. I haven't seen any at any of the stores in my area.

        • CSC

We have them up at customer service

          • Crystal

        • Crystal

That's so weird cause last month I picked up every coupon book my store had. Maybe I need to recheck to make sure it isn't hiding somewhere in my folder. lol Thanks!

    • Talysa

Is the Scotch tape that is advertised the “donut” style? Will that coupon work if it isn't?

    • Julie S.

If you buy two bags of Tostitos (BOGO), you can use the tearpad coupon for $2 off Lays Kettle Chips or Rold Gold pretzels.

    • Kriss

If you use a -.50/1 coupon that doubles but your product is less than that, will the leftover savings go towards the rest of your groceries?

      For Example:
      Ronzoni Pasta @ .69
      Use -.50/1 coupon

Thanks in advance for any answers!

      • Uabmathgeek

Yes, any extra will go towards your other purchases, but it can never cover tax.

        • AshelyQ

It can cover tax at Publix… I once got my groceries down to $0.30 and still had a $0.50 coupon that couldn’t be used because the cashier couldn’t give me cash back. It covered tax.

      • oneplustwins

Depends on your store. My Publix recently said they will not take a coupon that is more than the item…not sure about doubling, though. I think I might have to start going to another Publix. It bothers me if it's a manufacturer's coupon that is more than the item's cost….they're getting paid the full amount of the coupon anyway, so they're not losing money.

    • Marina115

The Pompeian olive oil coupon hasn't been reset for probably over a year now! Drives me nuts every time it's on sale!

    • Cheryl

$.75 goldfish coupon also in oct good housekeeping :)

    • Ashley

Over the weekend I made my list of everything that I plan to cook for Thanksgiving and Christmas so I can start getting my ingredients on sale. Turns out this was a great week to start as far as my “Christmas goodies” go.

    • Lani

Tried to create a shopping list off of here and the fridge or frozen section of this particular week's list will not populate into the list for printing.

      • sorry just fixed it. It gets a little finicky sometimes!

    • Carolyn Hicks

When I create my sopping list it will not include the Alexia All Natural Potatoes 20-24 oz., or Onion Rings 13.5 oz., at $2.50

. I have tried several times. I have even gone out of southern savers and back in.

    • karen lovelace

What about the penny item at Publix on Wed.

      • Just got it posted. It's Hot Dogs.

      • Jenn

She posted it. I think it is Publix hot dogs.

    • Cinderelligirl

Is anyone else having trouble finding the Lindsay Pitted Ripe Olives, coupon after you enter your e-mail can't seem to find it there or in e-mail. thanks

      • Casmly

I wasn't able to find the coupon either.

    • Rebecca N GA

I print the but one get one free list each week ans use it to stock my pantry. I buy one of the items and it is half price. It is like going to a half price grocery store. It is nice to see that you saved the same amount as you spent.

    • Christy

There is a $0.50 off 1 Soft Soap coupon in my November All You (subscription version) so it will make them free this week if your store doubles.

      • Lucy

Watch the size requirements on the coupon in the All You magazine — it requires that the SoftSoap Hand Soap be 8.5oz or larger. The item on sale this week at Publix is only 6 oz. or 7.5 oz so you won't be able to use that coupon.

    • Crystil Olson

I have a question about the buy one get one free stuff… ok so if I have coupons, and im buying 2 of the same item, can I give the cashier 2 coupons since the receipt shows they just reduce the cost in half, or is there a limit of 1 coupon per 2 items since one item is “free”???

      • Sleach01

You can use one manufacture and one store coupon per item. So if you have 2 items, use a total of 4 coupons.

      • Peg938

You may use 1 coupon per item. The only exception is if the coupon is $amount/2 items.

    • Au_prospector

The 'Create List' button isnt working properly. It is leaving many items that I selected off my list. For example I selected the publix butter, but its not on my final list.

      • Au_prospector

If it is in the 'Fridge or Frozen' section, it wasnt included on my list. Something is wrong here.

    • Cop

use the $1 food lion coupon for reddi-whip to make it FREE

      • Cargill58

can't find it…where is it? do i have to use a special zip?

    • Ajgosselin

I have a question. I am very new a this I went to a recent Couponing 101 class at my local church in place of my wife who had to work and was inspired about the potential savings. I look at these shopping lists that are made for us and to me they are kind of confussing.

How can a item that is B1G1 Free which makes each item 69 cents or $1.39 for two and you use a $1.00 off coupon from Martha Stewart Mag and you say its Free? In my world that makes it .39 cents for both?

      • Matt

        If it's B1G1, it's not really, that's deceptive. It's really half price for one……..

What Jenny is saying is that if you have a $1 off coupon on a 69 cent item, then it's free plus 31 cents back. You don't have to buy two for B1G1, but if you do, you can use a $1 coupon for each item.

        • Snowski824

Unless you're in FL where it is a true BOGO.

    • QponNerd

Am I the only geek that can't wait for Wednesday? Get the kid on the bus, baby down for a nap, now I can pour over the Publix ad. Yeah, I probably need a life.

      • Matt

No. I'm a great homemaker, I love to coupon, shop and cook. Even clean and do laundry.

Too bad I'm a guy with a full time job sometimes………

        • happymom

You made me laugh out loud!!! Thanks :)

          • Freemn4

            Me too! LOL… LOL …LOL! :)

        • Catandbecca

          laughing here too!

      • CouponNERD

No! You are not alone. I start looking around 9 p.m. Tuesday nights for the lists to post. Sometimes I review them on my phone in bed while dh is sleeping!

    • Ashley

Just started “couponing” at the urging of a friend. Jenny, you say that every store's prices hit “rock bottom” in a cycle, generally speaking every 6 weeks. How do I find out when the rock bottom cycle for my Publix and CVS starts? I never really paid much attention to prices so I don't know what to look for and I don't have time to go in every day just to see if prices have dropped. Help!

      • Snowski824

You watch the advertisements. After you coupon for a while you'll realize how long it takes between sales for the items you use to go on sale at the best price. It takes some time to figure it out. It's a little less predictable at CVS than Publix. For example, vanilla extract might be BOGO twice a year so I know when it's BOGO to stock up on how much I will need for at least 6 months. However, my shampoo might be on sale at publix every other month so I know to buy enough for two months.

        • Ashley

Thanks so much! I guess it would be too easy if the entire store went on sale every 6 weeks!

      • oneplustwins

Ashley, what she means is each item hits a rock bottom price in the cycle, not everything at once. And it's not every item in the store. I buy a lot of organic and natural things that never go on sale. Example…Hellman's mayo goes BOGO once every 6-12 weeks. I have found that particular item isn't on a 6 week schedule, it's longer. But it is a guideline. Just look at the ad each week to see what is BOGO, and that is the rock bottom price for that cycle. Stock up with coupons at that time until it goes BOGO again. Hope that helps!

    • Ori

I have never used a Food Lion coupon at Publix before. I printed it out (for diapers) and it says for use only at Food Lion and it also states that no other coupon can be used with it. Can I use this at Publix along w/ a man. coupon? Thank you!

Also – if a coupon states that you get .50/2… you must buy two right? You can't buy one and get the .50c off… right?

      • KAWilson

The Publix in Goose Creek, SC will take FL coupons and you can match with a manu. coupon. You have to check where you shop.

      • Snowski824

You have to buy two items to be able to use the coupon.

    • guest

Foodlion has a $1 coupon for the Reddi-Wip plus manufacturer coupon.

      • Laura

Where can I get the food lion coupon?

        • moneysaved4disney

there is a link here on the main page of southern savers. also, sign up on their site and they will email their coups each week.

    • kbv3g

there is a target printable for the tostido chips, it says $1 off baked lays but when it prints out it also lists fritos or tostidos.

      • tlmama

my Publix won't take Target web coupons. I never know until i print a Target Q if it is going to be a manufacturer or store q. This one happens to be a store q. So sad!

        • Carra

If you check the coupon database at Totally Target before you print it, she tells you whether it's store or manufacturer.

    • Heatherprose

The Facebook Idohoan Potato coupon is no longer available.

    • Bradyfigueroa

Awesome, I just did a run and got $61.19 worth of groceries for $3.04. I wasn't a great week as far as things I needed, but I did get to stock up on rice, dip, cake mix and stove top stuffing!

      • amanda

wow $3.04? I spend so much time planning and couponing and I'm not near that successful. Could you maybe tell us how you did it?

    • Katt

I am trying to print the Rebate form for the ConAgra foods coupon booklet and it is not working!!! Someone please tell me what to do!

    • TornadoRedTriumph

I can't find the Hunts Tomatoes q in All You? Does anyone know what page it's on? It's not listed in the coupon idex.

      • Daisy88646

It was in the tear out in the middle of the mag

        • Do you happen to know what pages? Also, was this the Wal*Mart All you or the subscription? My subscription issue doesn't have a tear out with Hunt's coupon.

          • Daisy88646

It was the Walmart All You. The booklet inside the mag was titled “ConAgra Foods”, It has a mail-in offer when you spend $25 in ConAgra Foods, you get $30 coupons and $5 walmart gift card…

    • Betty

If anyone is interested I have 2 $2.00 off P F Changs coupons that expire 12/5 and 2 $1.50 off P F Changs coupons from Target that expire 11/13. I know I won't be using them because my family doesn't seem to like them.

    • Lmapte

Can't seem to get the Vitamin $3/2 coupon to print.

      • Pat

me neither – it says “thank you, you may close this window” but nothing printed.

      • ChristyMy

I couldn't either on one of my computers but I tried another and it worked. I kind of wonder if I'd reached my print limit on the first computer even though it acted like it was going to print. Sorry I'm not much help!

    • Firegirl1168

Anybody seen the donut roll tape in publix???? I looke this am in homewood AL I thought maybe someone seen it in the surrounding birmingham AL stores… Thanks in advance. MY receipt this am $27 in change and I paid $4.27 WHAT A BARGAIN BUT TOOK A WHILE shopping

      • Bamamomof4

I'm in Calera, does your Publix take Whole Foods Q's? Mine does not, only Target. What did you buy and what Q's did you use? I need a good savings for this week! : )

      • Amhoward07

the donut roll tape is a printable click on the link she gives :)

    • Freemn4

I just returned form shopping at Publix where I used a whole bunch of Jenny's coupon match ups, which again saved me a bunch of money, thanks. As I was putting my free “Heluva good!” dip in my cart I was thinking “hmmm… I wonder if it would be innapporpriate to bring this to a church function?” Maybe it would be ok if I brought the “Wholly Guacamole” that I got for free too?!

      • Emaushouse

Lol! Just take the dips out of their containers and put them in one of your “non-offensive” dishes. They'll never know.

      • Anonymous

How did you get the Guacamole for free?

    • Ashleymh007

I have a question, there are printable coupons for Whole Foods and EarthFare listed on the Publix on sale items. Will Publix accept these coupons as they say useable at Whole Foods and EarthFare only? Thanks

      • moneysaved4disney

depends on your store…ask at customer service who their competitors are.

      • Ashleymh007

I called my local Publix and they do not honor Whole Foods and Earth Fare coupons. I dont know if they all do that, but that might be something to list up under each sale.

      • Ampoe1

Sometimes my Publix accepts but last time they told me no, so depends on manager on duty

    • Couponj

Anyone else having an issue finding the Arnold's coupon in the 10/3 SS?

    • Bamamomof4

There is $1 off Pepperidge Farm Goldfish in the October issue of Better Homes & Gardens mag. : )

    • I don't know if it's all Publix stores, but mine started their turkey sale. Butterballs are .99/lb and Publix brand are .59/lb. These are frozen turkeys, so I thankfully have a chest freezer to put it in.

      • oneplustwins

Thanks for letting us know. I shop tomorrow and probably would have passed them by without looking!

      • Coupons090

and w/ -4.00 buterball wyb 4 stove top @.99 each. sounds good .

        • Keldansmom

FYI…Target has the Butterballs for .88/lb and stove top for 1.00….used my 4.00 coupon there yesterday :)

    • oneplustwins

I can't get the $2 advil coupon to print…tried 2 computers. Enter all info and it says printing coupon…please wait, but locks up there. Has anyone been able to print it? thx

      • The5sharpes

I had to right click on the sign up page, then clicked on print preview and printed from there

    • daphne

      • daphne

        So true…:(

    • Bonnie

Does anyone know if Publix in Valdosta, GA accepts target coupons?

      • mommyo

        Yes, they do

        • Bonnie

          Great! Thank you!

      • Susanizanurse

Yes to accepting Target but they do not double :-(

    • Leslie Baker222

Thank you Heluva Good Folks for letting me print a coupon without having to enter a userid and password!!! I LOVE IT!! Why do so many of these companies require us to “sign in”…. ?? ugh!

    • Susan

      • amanda

thanks for the info. i think the reason im having a problem living up to the savings i want to get is because florida stores dont double coupons. i never thought about that

        • Amanda Smith

Yes! I'm envious of those who can double coupons as well.

          • Coupons090

i know even though our b1g1 coupons get us free stuff ,i dont even come close to my mom's savings in ga.

        • Ingjess09

you should check and see if there are any stores in your area that Jenny does that do double coupons. i just found a kroger about an hour away that doubles. and i have a harveys. all i did was go to the stores websies and see were their stores are and see if there is one near you. hope this helps.

    • kristen

Publix in Pembroke Pines, FL does not accept Target coupons

    • Ori

If anyone uses Enfamil (premium)… it’s on sale this week at Publix for 21.50 (I think)… Food Lion has a $3 off coupon and there is a $5 off coupon on Coupons.com… this should make the tub $13.50 (reg. 25)… plus if you have any enfamil “checks” from when you signed up – that’s another $3 off… making it just over 10 bucks. Deal.

    • Rlbutz

I am new to this. Do things like the Extra gum (15 stick) at the register ever go on sale for B1G1? Should I wait or just use the coupons I have now?

      • alyssa

Yes. The Gum usually goes on sale.

      • AshleyQ

Some gum will go on sale, not sure if if I have seen Extra in particular. We chew A LOT of gum at my hours so I stock up everytime I get a chance. I typically see Stride, Trident, Dentyne & Mentos as the best deals.

      • Johne

I found the Extra gum on sale at Kroger today B1G1 free($1.29). They also had B1G1 free coupons on the display. I bought some at Kroger and am also going to buy some at Publix and stack the B1G1 free coupon with $1/2 coupons I printed off from Target to score some really cheap gum. It sells regularly for $1.09.

      • consumer49

        I often buy a 3pk of 15 stick Extra gum at Wal-Mart for $2.00/3pk.

    • Rbgrenada

you can use the $1 a bakery item (target coupon) on the B1G1 muffins which will make them 49 cents!

      • Susan

I used the Target $.50 off Deli Item today, on some Deli Tea. No problem.

    • Sw

So, I am new to to this coupon thing. I seem to be catching on quickly, but I do have a question. Publix has their Dannon Yogurt on sale 20 for $8. Can I use three coupons with that sale. ex: .40/6 and 2 .50/6. Since Publix doubles I would save $1.80. So I would get 20 cups of yogurt for .31 ea.

      • AshleyQ

Yes you can do that, your 3 coupons are attaching to only 18 items and you are purchasing 20. HTH

      • guest 24

it would be 2.80 off of 18 yogurts. you also don't have to buy the full 20 yogurts to get them for $8.

        • Sw

Thanks, I never thought of it that way.

    • BJ

      Does publix accept bj's coupons?

      • Chiefsangeleyes

my store won't …but only because sizes are wrong as listed on coupon

      • jen

Some stores where I live do…and some have stopped.

    • traci

Thought the ad was pretty boring this week but wanted to stock up on the baking things for the holidays. I got:
      4 B.C. cake mixes
      4 B.C. frostings
      4 Nestle choc. chips
      1 Nestle Coffeemate creamer
      2 Ziploc containers
      5 Sundown Vitamins
      8 boxes on Ronzoni pasta
2 6packs of Propel fitness water
1 Publix hot dogs (penny item)
      4 Glade candles
I spent a little over 8.00 and saved 54.67. WhooHooo! One of my better trips and I am getting pretty stocked up on baking items for the upcoming holidays. The vitamin store and manufacturing coupons really helped because they gave me 4.00 in overage, Ronzoni gave me 2.40 in overages as well. The pasta makes a great donation item to the local food bank.

      • Libbie

How were you able to do that?…I am in Stockbridge, Ga and the Publix has already decided no target coupons……. they have said no to a lot more than usual lately

        • Sean

HEADS UP! I live in Atlanta( Marietta) and my Publix informed me today they would no longer be accepting any Target coupons! I went Thursday morning and my cashier refused to take the Target coupons that said “Target Web Coupon” in the header across the top. After a short conversation with the Manager, she told me the would still allow the Target Coupons the said “Manufacturer Coupon” in the header, but not Web Coupons. Today (Saturday) I went back to another cashier that said NO Target coupons would be accepted, period. I hashed it out again w/ their Manager, she told me their Corporate office had made a decision not to take ANY Target coupons! I don’t know if this decision will effect all Publix, but if you are planning on using one, check with the Service Desk prior to shopping, so you don’t get stuck paying more for an item than you planned! UPDATE: They also told me no more CVS or any place that wasn’t a GROCERY store in competition with them. If they stop doubling coupons, I’m outta there!

    • Chiefsangeleyes

My Rite Aid ad last week had an Advil coupon…and Publix will take it for 30 days past expiration date…should make for cheap advil

    • Couponj

Why did you have to expire today… $2 off produce when you buy Tostidoes Tearpad… I had great plans for you. :-P LOL

    • Tanya_morera

I went to the publix today and didnt see the Sundown Vitamins on sale. Am i missing something or do i just find the cheapest kind and stack store and manufactors coupons? Was hopeing to get a profit. Also, is the store coupon have a limit?

      • Snellmom

I've used at least 4 or 5 of the store coupons at one time (providing there is enough of the vitamins in stock). Choose the cheapest vitamin if it isn't something that you need. Doctors are seeing a great Vitamin D deficiency, so the Vitamin D is a great donation to the food bank.

        • Tanya_morera

          Thanks Snellmom

      • guest

No your not missing anything because they are Not on sale..they are regular price but with the coupons out there it makes for a good deal..as for limit it does say one per customer on the coupon but they general let u do more then on especially if your getting different types of vitamins..

    • ns129600

I've been familiar with this website for awhile now, but I haven't really started yet and I'm going to try to today. I am just confused about how many coupons to print. I want to use the $1/2 Campbell's Select Harvest Soup coupon, and I know that my Publix will allow me to double, but I don't know what that means really. Do I need to literally print 2 coupons to get them for .69? Or will they just scan it twice or something? And can I get more than 2 cans and they'll continue to double it? I hope I'm making sense..

I'm sure I could find the answer to this somewhere here but there is a lot to take in on this website!

      • Robinbray

If the cpn is $1/2 and your publix doubles up to a $1 then you would give them 1 cpn for 2 cans and they would give you $2 off. If you print off more cpns (usually you can print 2 cpns per computer) then you could get 2 cans for each cpn you have and they will take off $2 for each cpn.

        Hope this helps make sense.

        • ns129600

Oh okay, great! Yeah that made sense. Is it unlikely that they'll double it if it's a $1?

          • Snellmom

Publix only doubles coupons up to and including 50 cents with the exception of Florida and coastal Georgia which they do not double at all.

            • ns129600

Ok. Thanks so much. I know these questions must be asked over and over again.

            • julie

Coastal Georgia DOES double coupons. They always have.

            • amy

I'm in coastal GA and mine does not double. I think the general rule is that they do not, yours apparently is an exception.

            • Guest

I believe that it depends on what “district” your store falls into as to whether or not they double the coupons. The Publix in Dothan, AL (down in the lower corner of Alabama at the Georgia line) does not double because it is in the “Jacksonville” district which is in Florida even though all the other Alabama stores double and it is an Alabama store. This is probably the case with the Coastal GA stores as well – if you are considered in the Jacksonville district they dont double but if you are in the Atlanta district – they do.

      • Shopperkat

Hope I can help….the $1/2 coupon means…$1 off your order if you buy 2 cans. The $1 will not double (at least in Georgia). The coupon may only be used for those two cans. If you want to buy more for that price, you will need to print/use another coupon. You can print most coupons twice from each computer; however, sometimes you can only print once.

    • Syrivera9

Does anyone know what page the -$1/4 Hunt’s Diced Tomatoes November All You Magazine… I don't see it?

      • Marissalmc

        In the ConAgra insert

        • Laura

which apparently wasn't in the subscription copies, just the ones from Walmart. I got it in mine from Walmart but my mom has a subscription and had no ConAgra insert

    • E S

Not sure if anyone posted this, don't have time to read all the comments, but if you have the mambo sprouts booklet for Fall 2010 (says final printed edition on the front) there is a $1 off coupon for pom wonderful juice exp. 11/30 for the 16 oz bottle that's on sale.

      • Knelson2500

Sweet, thanks! I'll have to check that out when I get home!

    • Susanmcox

Hi – I'm having trouble finding the Publix penny ad for this week! I'm in DeKalb County in GA, and I don't know if it is in the Thursday ad, Sunday ad, or just somewhere in the Sunday paper. Thanks for the help!!

    • Syrivera9

What zip code are people using to print the sundown coupons?

    • Melissa

The Penny coupon is in the Thursday AJC paper, in the living section usually on page 2.

    • Gabriela

Don't know if that is a great deal or not, but we needed some gummy vitamins. Publix has a 6 off store coupon if you buy 2 disney vitamins…. I had two 1off coupon from coupon dot com and ended up paying 4 for 2 60 gummies bottle of vitamins.

      • Melissa

2.00 each for kids vitamins is a good deal. Thats about the cheapest I have seen them. I plan to stock up. They were BIGI at CVS not to long ago but they are 8.99 ea which made them 3.50 with the 1.00 coupons.

    • Beth Anne

Was thrilled to see the amazing price on Nutella until I realized this morning that I haven't even had the jar a week and… well, it's pretty close to it's end. It will be gone by Sunday for sure. Saturday if I don't put it down right this second!

      Slightly off topic but still…

      • 3monkeysmom

LOL!! That's why I'm not even buying any! Between my 8 yr old daughter and myself, I don't even think it would survive the day :) We put it on all kinds of stuff….croissants, whole grain or wheat toast, and our favorite is dipping pretzels in it :) YUM!!!

        • AugustaGirl

You should try it on pancakes! That's our favorite!

      • Pat

Have not tryed this product yet but maybe now I will Thanks

      • Smbach83

Nutella is like CRACK. I don't buy it b/c I know I can eat the entire jar all alone in just a few days. It's terrible! But sooo good. Not even considering putting it on my shopping list!

    • Beth

Shopping today at Publix was not a pleasure! I've been shopping at the same store for several years and I've been through this cashier's line a zillion times. She must have been having a bad day and decided to take it out on me. She read all of my coupons before ringing anything at all up and questioned me about whether I had bought several items. I had to show her the items. Like the Ronzoni pasta – I had to prove that I'd bought 2 because I had a printable coupon and a peelie. Then, she had to explain to me that she had to make sure I wasn't trying to use 2 manufactures coupons on one item. I've been through her line enough for her to ask personal questions about my kids, I thought she'd remember I've never tried to take advantage before. Anyway, after my groceries were baggged she started scanning the coupons and made me take other things out of the bags to prove I'd bought them too! I was already feeling bad and then she refused to take a coupon for free shaving cream because I didn't buy the razors at that time. I had previously bought the razors but there wasn't any shaving cream left. I was told it wouldn't be a problem to use the coupon in the future. What I learned today is – if you buy something with a peelie for a free item either go to the service desk and get them to write you a note saying you can get the free item next time or save your reciept. I wasn't trying to take advantage of the cashier or Publix. It makes me sad that every coupon I had was scrutinized like that because of what other people have done. I only spent $38 today and save $64. Ususally I'm really excited about the money I saved, but today I'm not.

      • That is such a bummer! I hate it when that happens–definitely takes all the fun out of coupon shopping. You still had a great trip, though, so be proud of yourself. Everyone has an off day sometimes–maybe she just got yelled at for accepting a bogus coupon or something.

        • Micheller080584

sorry to hear you had a bad trip :(

          • ashleigh

The same thing happened to me!! The cashier asked for all my coupons BEFORE she rang anything up and stood there and scrutinised EVERY ONE of them and then rang the groceries up, and then scanned the coupons. I was mortified as not only was there a long line waiting impatiently for “the crazy coupon woman” aka me, but the cashier made me feel like I was trying to take advantage of Publix!!

            • Jillian

Good grief. They DO have to look at them you know, and for some cashiers its easier to scan the item and the coupon as they go. As for the person that said the cashier should remember what she scanned, have YOU ever tried remembering that many things at once, while taking money AND operating a machine at the same time, on top of making required small talk? You’d think people thought they were robots or something….

            • B Brown04

At my Publix, the cashiers always take my coupons first and look at each one. Then they seperate them into piles in the order they want to scan them. It never bothers me because I know that all my coupons are for the items I purchased and can easily prove that by showing the cashier the product. Also at my Publix, I would say that at least half of the people who shop there are couponers. Usually you will see a line at one certain register full of people with their binders, so I don’t really feel bad about the line I am causing. I know the people behind me will have the same line. But if this is not the case for you, just apologize to whoever is behind you and go on with your day. You shouldn’t feel bad about trying to save money for your family. Who knows maybe those people behind you will learn something that will help them as well :)

      • Gabriela

I'm so sorry it happened to you. Specially at Publix. They are so coupon friendly…. I love my store…. they really don't care how many coupons you have. They are always nice. Kroger is the one that I always have problems with.

Don't let this bad experience make you not like Publix! :-)

        • Mitchellkramb

I scan my own coupons at my Publix… at self checkout. You just scan the barcode like you would an item, then there's a little slot for it right beside the cash depository. It makes things much easier because you never ever have to get questioned or humiliated.

          • I wish we had a self-checkout. They are nice.

      • Bwylupek

That's too bad, Beth. I think if the cashier at Publix asked me to PROVE that I had bought something — I would tell HER to look at the receipt — or go through the bags herself. I'm not trying to be rude, but that's really not your job. The scanner should kick back any coupons that are no good. The cashier shouldn't even have to worry about it, right? And, if Publix has designed their coupon system to be dependent upon a very alert cashier, well, then it's the cashier's job. Sounds like she was having an off day — but it shouldn't be your problem when that happens. I hope it goes better next time!

      • Zckirkland

I had a yuck experience at Publix today too! I think we have one of the best Publix stores around and it is usually fun to shop there! My cashier gave me a “sermonette” on couponing fraud, how any coupon that comes through an email is not legit, and that they were going to be changing their couponing policies soon. I didn't even have that many coupons, and all of my coupons were acceptable. :( I felt like you…even though I had saved a good bit of money, I felt defeated and humiliated. She gave her “talk' to me while 2 other customers stood listening. :( No fun.

      • Kris

Had a similar trip last week. I gave all coupons first then at the end the cashier had me digging through bags to prove I had purchased the products. I have been shopping at the same Publix for several years and this is the first time I have had to speak with a Mgr about the poor customer service.

        • Em_7984

It amazes mew they asked yall to pull the items out to prove you bought them, THE CASHIER IS THE ONE WHO RANG IT UP! lol Also, could they not just look on their computer screen and scroll up to the item? Or print a receipt? Wierd..I am going this evening. If they pull that with me (which they never have before) then I will tell them they should have been paying attention while scanning my items!

      • SweetDenia

Sorry you had such a bad experience, Beth. That does spoil the thrill
of saving so much when something like that happens. The cashiers at my
Publix ask that we give them the coupons up front since apparently the
scanner doesn't match them to the products. I've started putting my
coupons with the matching products as I unload my buggy. This way,
they can see what goes with what, and it's less likely that I'll
forget a coupon. Which seems to happen to me when I have a large
        order. ;-)

      • tink

I have had that same issue happen to me. I coupon responsibly. I only use the coupons that I have bought items for and always check expirations. When the cashier began to “give me a speech”, I very nicely told her all my coupons were ligitamate and that she should have paid closer attention to what she was ringing up. Furthermore, her negativity towards couponers was apparent and that I was sure Publix philosophy was not to attempt to embarrass their customers. This pretty much stopped the attitude.

I am not a child to be lectured to and couponing does not make me a second rate citizen. Just be respectful and keep your composure. And when you have a good experience, complement them, it helps set the ambiance for the next couponer.

      • Maybe she was careless with checking coupons & got in trouble or someone was and they all got lectured.

I had something like that happen at CVS. The one cashier was so friendly then one day she got ugly with me. Now I avoid her.

    • Not a bad trip to Publix today. I thought it would be fun to film my trip, even though I am a complete dork on camera. Unfortunately the only available cashier was the super-stickler gal I normally try to avoid, but I think she was nicer than usual because of the video camera. Anyway, I ended up spending $44 and saving $98. Click on my name for detailed coupon info (and the video!) :-)

      • Uh oh, I just realized that link is wrong. This should be the right one–sorry!

      • Friedsnowman

I didn’t click your link yet but, you do know that can get you kicked out of Publix, right? Filming without explicit consent from a Publix rep. at corporate level is a big no-no. Associates aren’t even allowed to take unauthorized still pics and if a store allows you to do it without consent from corporate they can get into trouble also :(

      • Friednowman

I just went to your link and enjoyed the video btw. The previous post was only meant as a heads-up.

    • Gigi

I'm new to couponing. I know my Publix takes Rite coupon. I have a video value bonus coupon, $4 off $20. Can I use this in Publix?

      • guest

To be honest, you'd have to call and check with your store. It's a store by store decision.

    • Lke212

has anyone else had trouble with the beechnut baby food coupon? I looked in my 8/01 ss insert and I can't find it anywhere I live in TN and get the Tennessean. I checked the variation page on it and it wasn't even listed little alone a different amount.

      • Ori

I don't have papers that far back but you can use the printable (not quite as good) and if you happen to have any coupons from signing up for the baby club – there is a $1.50 off 10 that you can stack to make them 2 cents each. Just a thought.

        • Kriss

Aw man! I wish I would have seen your comment before making my baby food run! I completely forgot about that coupon!

      • Mae

Same trouble. Atlanta Journal Constitution and not even listed in the variation. Both 8/1 and 6/28. :-(

    • Rhonda

Today I found the 13.75 oz boxes of Idahoan original mashed potatoes with a “TRY ME FREE” logo on front of box. Mail in form on top of box and is valid 8/1/10-3/31/11, postmarked by 4/30/11, up to $2.39 value. Price at Publix in central Florida was $1.69

    • Wtscorpio1

How is the the Heluva Good sour cream free if is cost $1.00 and the coupon that prints out is only for .50 is there another coupon some place else for an additional .50?

      • momto2boys

Most Publix double coupons up to .50, so the .50 coupon will double to 1.00 making it free! Unless you are in FL where doubling doesn't happen.

      • Sheila

I guess it depens where you live bc the Publix in S. Fl do not double coupons.

      • AmyL

I can't get the Helluva Good coupon to print. It says there's no coupon availalble (or somthing like that), Help?

    • Sheila

Ok S. Fl community. I have a question, Publix has the Birds Eye Voila B1G1 and I found B1G1 Birds Eye Steamfresh coupons in last weeks inserts (can't remember which one). Does anyone know if I can use those to purchase the BE Voila since they'll come out absolutely free?

      • Amy

Sure! My Publix in Central Florida will definitely take those kinds of coupons. It worked with the B1G1 feta cheese a few weeks ago. . .

      • Amy

Sorry, I misread your question the first time. I didn't realize you said the Voila is B1G1 and the coupon is for Steamfresh. Check the coupon itself. Birdseye is usually very specific about what they include and exclude.

      • guest

No they are two totally different products.

    • ann

I'm in Charleston SC and go to the Main Rd./John's Island Publix. Lately there seems to be a lot of confusion about taking competitor coupons for a so many dollars off (like 4 off 20 purchase etc). One evening the manager told me you can only use multiple copies of the same competitor coupon per purchase. Then another evening a cashier told me the opposite: you can only use a single copy of a given coupon of this type per purchase–but can combine it with other single copies of this type coupon (i.e., 4 off 20 rite aid and a 5 off 20 CVS would be OK — BUT NOT two of the 4 off 20 rite aid). Anyone else getting conflicting opinions?

      • Roehrigk

Yes, it is crazy! One person will take 4 coupons of same (4 off 20, cvs) when I spend 80.00. Another says you can use 1 cvs and 1 rite aid and another says you can use one or the other. Why can't they have everyone at every publix be on the same page?

      • K Bjjohnston

charleston SC – Dorchester Rd. said they no longer took the rite Aid video coupons for 4 dollars off 20….. anybody else having this issue?????

    • Steve

I realized after I got home last night I forgot 5 coupons at home that totaled $6. Not a huge amount, but enough that I was mad at myself. If I take my receipt and coupons back to publix customer service, can they do anything about it?

      • Roehrigk

Yes, bring receipt and coupons and they will give you $6 cash. I have done it before no problem.

      • AP

I have done the exact same thing before and just brought my reciept in. They took the coupons off no problem and handed me the 6 bucks in cash.

      • Jpatton5

yes, my publix will refund the coupons. this happens to me all the time.

        • Sean

My Publix will allow you to do this within a small time frame. I have went home and took my receipt w/ coupons back to the service desk on the same day, and the did it. I waited till the next day once, and they wouldn't. I guess it depends on the Publix you shop at?

          • Cindy Henderson

Don't worry about your grammar dude. It is just a blog. Mary seems to be having a bad day. Don't let it get to you.

      • Sue

my publix will refund the money for the coupons, also.

if not, you can just return the 5 products and re buy them. I have always had the products with me and asked them if I had to do that and they always, very kindly said “no, we'll give you the money back without having to return the products”

    • Denise

I am going to be in Center Point, AL tomorrow for a basketball tournament. Can anyone tell me how coupon friendly the Publix is on Old Springville Road or any other that would be close by? Thanks for any information.

      • Di

The Old Springville road Publix is where I do my shopping. They are awesome.

      • 3monkeysmom

That's where I shop :) They are fabulous! They accept Target as a competitor, so I always save a ton of money there.

The Vigo rice is an amazing deal when the $.50 Q doubles, but it's not a good product. I just made a paella by adding tons of fresh veggies, chicken and shrimp (no extra salty products) and it was sooooo salty. I was afraid to add any sausage or olives would turn the dish into a salt lick!! The packet itself is 35% of daily recommended intake of salt!

      • Jen

There is a low salt variety. I bought it last time but I haven't tried it yet.

      • Jessica_1976

The MSG makes it a deal-breaker for me. I have little kids!

    • Lovelivelaugh716

I wish we had publix in Charlotte, NC!!

      • Sparklecat2009

Sounds like you will be getting one as there is some chatter about one seeking approval to build in the Fort Mill area. If they break into NC I will be delighted!!! If Charlotte gets one then there will be a little hope for us in eastern NC. The competition would be awesome!!

There is a $3 off $30 in Friday's Orlando Sentinel Sports section.

      • Amanda Smith

        When is the expiration date?

        • macboy

          Sunday, November 14.

They've usually come in the Friday papers and expire on that Sunday.

          • Amanda Smith

            Thank you!

Found a country crock coupon for 40 cents on countrycrock.com. Would be a better coupon than the 55 cent coupon after Publix doubles it.

    • Jac2041

any tricks for printing the baby food coupon. my computer is getting hung up and won't print either of them.

Hey Jenny found a stackable Q from Whole Foods, there's the Alexia App Product $1/1 which makes it $.50

“Alexia All Natural Potatoes 20-24 oz., or Onion Rings 13.5 oz., at $2.50

-$1 off Alexia Foods product (Facebook) printable or November All You magazine

      -.55/1 Alexia Product SS 11/7

Which one were you going to? My publix in south cobb has never accepted them from what i know.

        • Guest

We moved from Smyrna in August, but at that time, the Publix on Paces Ferry Rd in Vinings was taking Target coupons.

          • Thiamaria

I was there recently(the vinings location @ paces ferry) and they no longer accept them. Which Publix is this Sean? I'm near Cumberland, so I've been jumping around the diff Publix recently & hope it's not the one I'm planning on going to.

I shop at the Publix on South Cobb Drive/East-West Connector in Smyrna and they take Target coupons.

      • valentine

each publix can choose if they take target coupons or not. where i live there are 3 publix close to were i live, 2 will take them but one will not. so if i do have a target coupon i wish to use, i go to the publix that take them. sometime it depends on how close they are to a target.

      • Danielle

Our Publix in Chattanooga, TN won't take Target either. It's been like that for several months.

It's spelled grammar, and by the way… what about your sentence fragments and lack of capital letters?

    • Cindy Henderson

Please everyone, realize that this is a place where we can help each other. It is not a place to criticize and call names.

I can't locate the Ronzoni coupon in the Parents Magazine.

    • Kbirberick

Quick question! Can I use a “Whole Foods” coupon and a Manufacturer coupon on the same item at Publix? ex: Alexia Frozen Product -$1/1 and -$1/1 Alexia Frozen Product Whole Foods Market? The Whole Foods coupon is a store coupon right? Thanks!

      • Danielle

You can as long as the “Whole Foods” coupon is a store coupon (the first digit isn't a 5 or 9) and as long as your Publix will accept that store's coupon. My Publix in Chattanooga, TN won't accept Earth Fare coupons, because that is considered a health food store, not a grocery store. Hope it works!

      • momof2boys

the Publix in Lexington SC would not accept my “whole foods” coupons today:(

    • Tammie

Del Monte Fruit: 50 cents coupon off 2 Mandarin Oranges in All You, Nov., p. 113

(don't know if my post went through twice)

    • Abby

I must be absolutely going crazy. I've got the November 2010 allyou magazine right here in front of me and Hunt's tomatoes are NOWHERE IN IT. They're not listed in the front (you know, the list of all the coupons) and I've already flipped through the whole magazine twice, not seeing it then either. What in the world is going on?! No one else has questioned it, so why am I having so much trouble finding it?

      • Snowski824

Do you subscribe or do you buy the magazine at Walmart? Subscribers usually get less coupons.

      • tina

there is a heavy paper con agra insert in the middle of the magazine. sorry your having so much trouble, good luck!

    • Leslie

Alexia Natural Sides also has a Whole Foods Q for $1/1 which stacks w/manufactures makes it $.50 each!!
      Beluga Good dip M Q $.55/1 in RP 11/14
ohh ohh! Got a kick a** mailer…from Focal Point “Play the Talk*a*Bowl” game
w/FREE Box Barilla PLUS and 5BOGO coupons for friends

    • Leah9798

I have a 5 off $55 coupon I want to use. I haven't gotten one for so long I can't remember how I can use it the best way. Is it $55.00 before all discounts(B1G1) and coupons or $55.00 before coupons only?

      • Susan

        Before other coupons

    • Elizabeth

ATTENTION NEWNAN, GA SHOPPERS: The Publix on Bullsboro at the by-pass would not allow me to use both the store and the manufacturer coupons on the Sundown Vitamins this morning. The cashier said it was because she would be giving me money back, although I had more than enough additional items to absorb any overage.

      • tina

that is when you call a manager!

      • Lisa

Because some stores do.not.give.overage. That is up to the Store Manager. Not you.

        • Elizabeth

I was merely advising local shoppers that overage.was.not.given.at.this.store.

Individual policy may indeed be up to the store manager, but as consumers we decide where we will we spend our money, not the store manager.

    • SaverEK

I found a good coupon match for the BOGO Scotch Magic Tape. There is a $1.00/1 manufacturer's coupon off any Scotch Magic Tape or Gift Wrap Tape in the new Publix winter family savings booklet. Use two and it will only come out to .19 for both!

    • momof2boys

Publix in Lexington SC would not take whole foods coupons Just an FYI; because there were several items I would not have bought but ended up buying because I didnt want to go through the hassle of having the cashier take them off of my bill!
