Publix Weekly Ad 3/25-3/31

on 3.25.2009 at 1:13am

This post may contain affiliate links. Read our disclosure here.

Here are all the deals that start today 3/25 at Publix (or Thursday 3/26 in some areas). There are a ton of good coupon matches this week. The Advantage Buy deals are at the bottom of this list.

Let me know if you see something I missed or find a deal in the store.

New Food Lion Printable coupons are up, there is nothing that thrilling this week. There is still a $2 off $5 Deli or Produce purchase from last week!! Don’t forget that you can use a competitor coupon for house brand items on Publix house brands.

1. You do not have to buy 2 of the B1G1 items to get the sale price
2. If you do buy 2 items that are B1G1 make sure you use 2 coupons to get the best deal
3. Publix accepts competitors coupons (you can stack with a manufacturers coupon and a Publix coupon too)
4. You can use a store coupon and a manufacturer’s coupon on the same item
5. Most Publix locations double manufacturer coupons that are .50¢ or less

**1 & 5 do not apply to Florida stores**
For a detailed explanation of Publix’s coupon policy go here.

    • Melanie

      Hi Jenny,

Where does this coupon come from?
-$1 off Taco Bell Dinner Kit coupons on select products

      • Jenny

Its a coupon that will be stuck to the product (peelie, though I hate that word)

    • Amy B.

The peelies are at Target! I went to Publix early today.. spent $14, saved $96!!!!!!

    • Is there anyway you can make your web-page not print with a blue background? I usually copy what text I need and paste it in a word document (I read somewhere to do that). It costs us a fortune in color ink if I don’t but, it would be nice to be able to print directly from the southernsavers.com website. Otherwise, love the site, I save about $100 a week at Publix and various amounts at CVS. thanks, Melanie

      • Jenny

The only reason to print from word is you might not want the full list and in word you can delete the items that you wouldn’t want to buy. If you print from site do you end up with the ads and the header?

    • Shannon in ATL

I highlight the text directly from the site then in my print menu under “Page Range” check “selected”…that way it only prints the text you have highlighted and not the entire page.

    • You can cut and paste it onto notepad which is on all pc’s and it will print out only with black ink.

    • Thanks as always! :)

    • Wanted to add incase you missed it, that Glad trash bags are on sale $5.99 (you mentioned) but also, you can use the $6.00 off “the other white meat” coupon to buy the Pork spare ribs that are on sale for $1.59 a lb. (Glad is a participating product)

    • And you have to buy charcoal, so use the $3.00 of Food lion coupon :)

    • Jon

When you print you can select the properties and select the option that says, “print in greyscale” This will only use your black cartridge no matter what is on the page.

    • April

Lysol is offering 2 different rebates right now.
      1. Buy 3 different products and get $3 back. Ends 5/15/09
      2. Buy 2 different products and attach a receipt from your child’s pediatric appointment and get $5 back. Ends 3/31/09

    • Mary

I noticed Doritos are on sale- buy 1 get 1 free. If you received the Pepsi/Frito Lay coupons (from the rebate offered a couple of months ago) you can get 2 bags of Doritos for .99, if you use the $3 coupon.

Thanks for this wonderful site, Jenny!!

    • Alisha

I got the impression that three “different” products would be for example, wipes, spray, and bathroom cleaner. I was going to use it on the wipes from last week, but was not sure if it would work. What do you think?

    • Ang

Where do I find the all well and good booklet?

      • Jenny

They were in the pharmacy area of Publix stores a few months ago. Most of the coupons expire next week and I don’t think you would be able to find the booklets now. They had too many good coupons and went fast.

    • Angela

My Publix ad includes a store coupon “Buy Four Kellogg’s Cereals Get One Publix Milk Free; assorted varieties, 1-gallon. Works well with BOGO Mini Wheats!

    • Aimie,

Where is the 6$ off The other white meat coupon?
I’d like to copy your find.

      Jennifer the dog lover

      • Jenny

I added the coupon and the full deal in the list with the Pork Spare Ribs.

    • Amber

      If you go to
You can print out a $4 off coupon. Publix has the gelatin for $1.39 and you can count the overage off of your other groceries.

    • Tiffany

Not sure if this will work for anyone else but for the goodlife cat food I found the $3 printable coupon by searching google for “goodlife cat food” and it will be the first webpage but you can’t get to this coupon if you go straight to the website it will only show the $2 coupon …also you can print 2 $3 and 2 $2 coupons this way!! Hope this helps!!!

    • Katie

I’m in the Thursday-Thursday area so I don’t have the flyer yet. Is the Buy 4 Mini-Wheats Get a Free Milk for house brand milk?

      • Jenny

        It is for Publix milk

    • Pam G

Thank you so much for the match ups. I’ve been a heavy coupon user for a year and really appreciate the extra links and such that you provide.

    • Teri

Should Publix allow overages? If so, what would be a correct response when they say they don’t allow it? Usually, if I hear that, its from someone who may not be familiar with the policy but it seems to make sense so I don’t push it. Any help with this, Jenny?

      • Jenny

Publix will get reimbursed for the full value of the coupon. So if they give you overage they will still get all their money back. If they reduce the amount that they give you off using a coupon, they will still get the full value of the coupon back from the manufacturer and then they are committing coupon fraud by not giving you the discount intended for you but instead pocketing the difference.

    • Lauren

Just letting everyone know that the Gerber baby food deal from a week ago is still going on. Publix still has their stage 2 foods for $.79 and the $1 off coupon from Food Lion still works!

    • jennifer

Noticed the snack factory pretzel coupon says found in deli so u can prob use the bakery/deli coupon from Food lion and get overage!

    • Lisa

If I used the Food Lion printable, for the produce and deli, last week. Can I print another one for this week and use it again? I thought I heard you say that only 1 printable per computer…right?

      • Jenny

you can print the Produce coupon again if you use the pdf version. I would only use one per transaction though and not go to crazy :)

    • debbie

If the crystal light is $3.99 each and $1/2 coupon, how is it $1.49 each. wouldn’t it be $3.49 each?

    • Amber

They are buy one get one free so you’d get them both for $3.99 and then take off one dollar divide by 2, so they are $1.49 each.

    • Clay

Has anyone ever tried using the Walgreens coupons from the ad at Publix? There is a coupon on the last page for Buy 3 get one free diet pepsi. It is a Walgreen’s coupon but says Manufacturer Coupon at the bottom. May be worth a shot since Publix has Pepsi 4/$11. That would make it 4/$8.25 which is pretty sweet.

    • Amanda

It looks to me that the Arm & Hammer $1 off for laundry detergent is no longer listed, or did I just print my limit last time?

    • Teri

Thanks Jenny. So, I guess if Publix gives an overage on a Publix coupon or a competitor coupon, then that would be a situation where it would not benefit them to do so. Correct? Also, if a grocery store does give an overage on a coupon, is that OK with the manufacturer who issues the coupon – to repay the store a amount that was more than they collected? Is that just NOT a big deal, a nonissue? Thanks! I just want to fully understand so that I can speak intelligently. The info you have shared on this website has helped me clarify things with workers who themselves do not know that Publix even gets reimbursed at all! Thanks!

    • jennifer

Peter pan is on at Publix for $2 and also at Kroger but there is a printable coupon on the Kroger section making it $1!

    • Tammi

On the Goodlife Recipe website I was able to print 2 coupons for each email address I entered. I’ve printed about 20 coupons.

    • Faith

You may have answered this question before, so please forgive the redundancy. Can you use Food Lion coupons at all Publix? We do not have FL here in Atl. so I wasn’t sure of the possible connection between the two stores. Thanks.

    • jessica

i know i’ve read the answer to this question somewhere – but i cannot remember where or what the answer was! on the publix store coupons that say they may not be used in conjunction with any other coupon, wll they let you use them with a manufacturer coupon?

      • Jenny

It has been Publix corporate policy to always allow you to stack store coupons and manufacturer coupons together. When the wording changed they stated that it did not change their stacking policy and that you could still use them together. That being said many stores have decided to stop letting you stack if the coupon has that wording on it. You can take it up with corporate if your store is one of those.

    • Kelly

FYI…..the Perdue chicken is refrigerated, and the Q is for frozen…BUMMER!

    • Whitney

Does a coupon double based on it’s barcode, or does it depend on your store? Just looking at my Publix receipts, I don’t think my .50 and under coupons are doubling…

      • Jenny

Do you live in Florida or along the coast of GA? The coupons there won’t double. Anywhere else if a coupon bar code starts with a 5 it will automatically double if it is 50 cents or less.

    • Whitney

One more thing.. Is anyone else having trouble with the delmonte canned veggie coupon? I clicked on it and registered, but it prints out a fruit chillers coupon????

    • I enjoy your site. Thank you! I’m learning so much. I wanted to let everybody know that Publix is going to stop accepting competitor’s coupons, all the stores. The employees themselves are losing money. This come out off their pockets. Just FYI!

Are there other animals that can be cut up besides a cow?
How do the PDF program works?

    • Melissa

I believed teh coupon probably changed. I printed the veggies last week and went to print this week and got the chillers too. I love them so I hope I see a sale soon on them.

    • Dear Jenn,

My printer just print coupons form food lion and not from the others website. I tried everything…sign up, turning off the blocker…everything. What do you think??? :(

    • Jess

A question on the knox.. The coupon is for knox nutrajoint. Is that what is on sale for $1.39? Or is it the wrong item? Thanks

    • Kristie

Here is the link for the $3 off goodlife cat/dog food. If you register different email address you can print more than 2.

    • Jeannie
    • Michelle

Same thing happened with me on the delmonte coupon. I was thinking it was because I printed the same one last week.

    • Whitney

I’m not sure because I haven’t printed it before.

    • I tried using the Publix Crest coupon yesterday from the Simple ways to save flyer. Not a single one of them has an expiration date, and I’ve been using them every now and then for a couple weeks.

The cashier said yesterday that the register was saying it was expired. I had clipped it, so she thought maybe I’d cut off the date (and pointed out where it looked like it had been at the top, but it was just the coupon above it!). I’d seen a stand at the front with tons of them, and mentioned that, so she went and got one and put it through. She was really nice about it and really tried her hardest to figure out why it wasn’t working!

Just wondered if anyone else has had this problem! I’ll probably try it again, but I’ll take a copy of the whole thing with me next time to point it out! There’s not an expiration date on the entire flyer!

    • Bonnie

Has anyone ever used a Food Lion coupon at a Publix store? I am in the Atlanta area and we do not have Food Lion stores here. Just curious if this has worked for anyone. Of course, I can always call my store.

Thanks Jenny for all your work! May all you have done for others come back to you tenfold. :)

    • Teri

My Publix has a big sign up that says that if you buy Kraft Bar-b-que sauce, Gulden’s mustard and/or Ragu, Publix will give you their comparable store brand of the same type free. If you see any printable coupons for any of these, please do share!

    • I’m pretty sure I saw a Publix coupon for the Immaculate Baking Company in the newest Greenwise magazine, so that would be great to stack with the manufacturer’s coupon and the BOGO sale.

    • Ryann

Bonnie- I used a FL coupon at my Publix a few weeks ago successfully, but the next week tried to use another one and the cashier told me they didn’t take them anymore b/c there isn’t a Food Lion around here. I am in Birmingham, AL.

    • Sylvie

I’m on the North side of Atlanta and I’ve been using them at my Publix (they also take Wallgreens and Target) and there isn’t a Food Giant anywhere near here.

I called ahead of time and talked to customer service at the 2 Publix closest to me. One said “yes” the other “no”. Guess which one I went to!?? :)

    • dana

Just a question about the Knox printable for $4, it says “joint” on it, like it is for bone health. Any one tried it to see if it works or not? I am going to try but just checking to see if anyone else caught that or not?

    • Amy B.

The barcode on the Knox coupon indicates it will work for any Knox product and the text Says “Save $4.00 on Knox” so there is no reason you can’t use it on any Knox product. The picture does show a Nutrajoint product but it should work for any Knox product where the UPC starts with 41000. Hope that helps!

    • My friends keep raving about this website so I am trying to use it but I can not print a single coupon. I have installed the coupon program probably 15 times. Each time it tells me it has been installed successfully but my coupon never prints. I went in to my control panel and set my properties to advanced as suggested on the site but still no luck. Can anyone help?

    • I bought the Chinet plates yesterday and found Peelie’s on each for a FREE package of Chinet napkins. I also used the $4.00 off Knox coupon on the $1.39 Gelatine with no problems. I LOVE your site!!

    • Shannon in ATL

I am also in Atlanta and have not had a problem using the Food Lion coupons.

    • Suzy

Allyson, have you tried restarting your computer? Sometimes I have to do that to get the coupons to print. Don’t know why… just a weird computer thing.

    • What do you mean when you say you can use a Publix coupon? Where do you get Publix coupons?

    • Whitney

Thanks Jenny. I live in Thomasville (right at GA/FL line)… Darn, but thanks anyway!!

I gave it a shot with the Walgreens buy 3 get one free Diet Pepsi coupon at Publix and it worked. So I got 4 12pks of Pepsi for $8.75. Also the Sunkist 2 liters are BOGO and their is a $1 off 2 coupon on some of them. I also used to $4.00 off Pace coupon with no problem yesterday. Luckily we have a Food Lion in our town and there is a Target in the same shopping center as the Publix so I have not had any problems with thier store coupons at publix.

    • Jenny-

I had another wonderful experience at Publix yesterday thanks to you! I got an 18 lb. bag of charcoal, 2 huge yummy looking steaks, Crest toothpaste, and a big jar of Pace salsa for $5.42!!! I was so excited and very proud! Thank you for helping me with this!
Ps- anyway I can get more of those Pace coupons to stock up on?
I was only able to print one yesterday. Thanks.

    • Laura

I absolutely love this site. Went to publix today and bought $150.00 worth of groceries for a whopping $26.50. I think it worked up to be a 83% savings. Love it. Thanks for all your hard work!!!!!!!!!!

    • Kabba

In case anyone else is a Betty Crocker muffin mix fan, they are also at Publix this week B1G1!!! I’m searching for my coupons!!!!

    • Question on the Coffee Mate. Can I buy 3, and use 1 save $1.50 on two, and 1 save $1.00 on one? I am buying three, that would be ok right??

    • Jannnn

My family is eating good now thanks you Jenny!!! It is now a pleasure and fun to shop. :)

    • Hi,

The perdue $1 coupon work just fine for me. I have 24 of those $1 coupon. It is going to last us for a long long time :)

The Knor gelatine work just fine too.

The snuggle fabric softener work for me as well.

I bought like $150 worth of food yesterday and today and all I paid was $8 for the 2 days :)

Regretted not getting the charcoal deal. Today it is $10.49 for the 13.5 size. The 17lb size is $9.99 and with a $3 for white meat peelies on it but then the FL coupons does not work for that particular one. So I did not take advantage of it.

My publix is great, I always throw in $5 off $25 from Rite Aid and CVS so upfront I am saving $10.

Check out my site where I posted my March spending and all these free stuffs I got which will go into next month budget. Some I will put them in my neighbor yard sales, some my church member wanted to buy off from me, some from coworker.

      Thanks Jenny.

Ps : Isn’t that great, besides my weekly 20meals, these are products that are included in my $135 monthly budget. http://www.seaykopitiam.com/2009/03/24/march-expense/

    • Christa

Note : the CREST – in 3/1 PG, in Atlanta, it is only .75 coupon instead of a $ 1.00, but I found in 3/15 PG, a .50 coupon which will double to $ 1.00

    • Andrea

I went to Publix today to stock up on the Taco Bell BOGO but the one I went to in Buford, GA did NOT have the $1 off coupon on the boxes. Can these be found elsewhere?

    • Andrea

The $2 produce coupon from FL is no longer available.

      • Jenny

Food Lion takes down the printable coupons off their site when a new batch of coupons come out. So if you want to use it this week you will have to use the PDF version.

    • Whitney

The dial B1G1 soap at my Publix also had a .35 peelie on them.

    • Melanie

      Another deal idea…

There is a Future Friendly flyer at Publix that I found a few weeks back, at the front of the store and down the laundry/cleaning aisle. It has $1 coupons for several things, including swiffer refills, which are on sale this week for $4. There is also a coupon for a free Publix reusable shopping bag if you buy two products from the brochure. So buy 2 swiffer refills, use two $1 off coupons, and get a bag for free!

    • Lisa

Just discovered this site today – and I think it’s the greatest!!

Just a heads up, my Publix told me that they were told from corporate not to accept internet printed coupons with a value of more than $1. So, the cashier handed me back the Knox coupon, the food lion ($2 off produce coupon), and the Conessa $2 coupon…. The Perdue coupon worked just fine.. no problem.
I argued and the manager offered to give me $1.29 on the Knox coupon.. I was surprised. Anyway – I got a refund on what they refused to accept. I was pleased with my other purchases!!!! Thanks again!!
I might try another Publix tomorrow….

      • Jenny

I would try another Publix. There actual corporate policy is to not accept a printable coupon over $5 or for a Free product if the value is over $5.

    • Kelly F

I have a ton of coupons for the Gold Bond Ultimate Healing and so forth Lotions. Both kinds of the lotions are on sale. Should I go ahead and get them now or do you think a better deal will come around? (BTW, I am new to all of this! I haven’t picked up on the sale patterns yet!)

    • Kelly F

Oh yeah, I went to Publix today and bought 8 bags of The Goodlife Cat food (free with some overages when I used the $3 coupon that was listed in the previous posts) and I also bought 5 Glass Plus and 2 Lysol all purpose cleaners. Threw in 4 boxes of Morning Star farms “chicken” (50% off), $5 of produce (using the FL $2 off coupon) and spent just around $9! It said at the bottom of the recipt that my savings at Publix was just over $70!!!!! I could kick myself for not getting into couponing sooner! I love your site!

When does Publix put out the All Well and Good flyer (or whatever it is called?) :)

    • Okay, I have another “printables” question. Let’s say I am going to buy 3 bags of pretzel chips. Does that mean I can print 3 coupons from their website? Most printables say one coupen per purchase. If I want to purchase 5 then can I print 5…I’m confused and don’t want to be arrested for coupon fraud-HA!

      • Jenny

One per purchase really means one per item, so buy 5 and use 5 coupons. It is said one per person or one per transaction then that would mean that you could only use one.

    • Paula

If you all have any questions about what coupons the Publix in your area take, please ask them when you go in the door. Every Publix has different policy on competitor coupons. My store take almost any, while the store my husband works at will not take but one or two competitors in the area. It is really up to each manager. Also, we do not get reimbursed for competitor or store coupons. That is a loss. So please don’t demand overages or cash back on those coupons. We do get reimbursed for vendor or manufacturers coupons and we have no problem with them.
Ask at Customer Service before you go to the cashiers so you don’t get upset and you don’t give the cashier (who is doing what they are told) a hard time. We truly want to make you happy and save you money, but in the same – we need to make money to (that’s why we are in business).

    • Letha

I just wanted to share that i shopped at Publix yesterday and bought 83.00 worth of groceries and spent 18.00 :) i was so excited . i’m new to the coupon world but i love this website and appreciate it very much ! Can anybody give me any ideas on the best way to organize my coupons ? thanks

    • Lana

There are Betty Crocker muffin mix coupons on the back of some Frosted Cheerios boxes. They are $1/1. We have some sad looking boxes in our pantry now after I wacked up the backs!

    • Valerie

I’m having a hard time printing any pdf versions from this site for the Food lion version of last week’s coupons. Any clues to help out? Thank you so much for all of the help and time that you share Jenny!

      • Jenny

When you have the PDF pulled up try saving it to your computer first and then printing and see if that helps.

    • Amy B.

There is a peelie in many stores for B2G1 on the Pepsi 2 liters. There is also a FL printable for $1/2 so you can get 3 sodas for 55 cents!

    • Amy B.

actually, the pepsi coupon printed with the charcoal one and it was only valid until march 17. So it will be $1.55/3 Pepsi 2-liters

    • Jennifer (palmettosweetheart)

Just wanted to say that my Publix has the GoodLife cat food BOGOF for $4.48. So you can buy 2, use 2 $3 coupons and have $1.57 in overage. Or buy 4 and use 3 of the $3 coupons and get all 4 bags free.

    • Hannah

I went to Publix last night and spent $48 and saved $89!!! Thanks Jenny!!! Our church is having a food drive this weekend and I used the overages from the Knox gelatin to purchase lots of Uncle Ben’s. :-)

    • Amy

Letha, I bought a small photo album w/4×6 pocket sheets for only $3 to organize my coupons in. But I know a lot of people have made notebooks with trading card pocket protectors too. Hope that helps.

    • To add to Lana’s comment about the muffin mix coupons on the back of the Frosted Cheerios, if you buy 2 boxes you can use your buy 2 BC products, get a free shopping bag Q.

    • Letha
Get a 1 1/2 to 2 inch binder. Buy some baseball protector sheets (near the baseball section of Walmart- cheap for a huge pack). I also bought page separators but I havent needed to use them yet as I just started as well and I seem to keep it pretty organized. Hope this helps and good luck!

    • Christina

Hey, I’ve been lurking here for a few months, but I think this is the first time I thought of a deal to share with everyone: Last night and today I bought 2 Fresh Express Bagged Salad for $5, used two Publix coupons from the Yellow Advantage Flyer (each for $1 off 1 Fresh Express Bagged Salad), and I also used the $2 off $5 Fresh Produce Food Lion printable. It made each bagged salad only 50cents!
Later today I hope to try to buy 1lb of Chicken tenders from the deli and use the $2off $5 Deli/Bakery Food Lion coupon AND the Publix coupon for $2 off any purchase of 1lb of Chicken tenders or wings from the deli WHEN YOU BUY a Coke 8pk of 12oz bottles. Not sure what the final price will be but I’m going to try it. Hope it works. Oh and of course I plan to pick up more bagged salads for 50 cent each!

    • amy

I just got off the phone with store manager. NEW, AS OF THIS WEEK…my Publix at snow hill in TN just said that they HAVE to now follow the instructions of manufacturer’s coupon, Publix coupon, and/or competitors coupon…i.e….THE PUBLIX SPRING SAVINGS ADVANTAGE BUY COUPON FOR NATURE’S OWN MUFFIN’S SAYS CANNOT BE USED WITH ANY OTHER COUPON (IN FINE PRINT) SO IN OTHER WORDS NO STACKING AT SNOW HILL!!she said if it does not say that you cannot use another coupon with that one coupon then they will stack….but good luck finding two different coupons that say cannot combine with another coupon!! whatever..OH she said we have to give the coupon with the item we are using it with as we check out!!! ahhhh…forget it..I will stick with BI-LO,,=)

    • I just saw on Publix’s website, that for this week only, if you buy participating products, you will get Publix’s version for FREE!!!! I think every store varies so check it out! I think a few were Guldens mustard, Ragu sauce and Kraft BBQ sauce!

    • I am new and I was just wondering where everyone gets their coupons. i have been printing the limit of two, I buy the Sunday paper, but there are so many I don’t use. I was just wondering. thanks.

    • Amy B.

Had a very strange experience today. The cashier wanted to ring up each coupon with each item and when we got to the Knox and Goodlife she would not allow me to use the coupon because it would give overage. She said I could go pick up more of those items to bring it above the total of the coupon (ie 4 Knox packs or 2 Goodlife Bags) I asked her to just take both off my bill. I casually asked why they can’t redeem the coupon if they get reimbursed for it anyway and she said that “Publix” gets reimbursed but not the individual store so that store would “lose” 75 cents for each bag.

Also, I found a tearpad for Free Milk WYB 2 Packs of Oreos. It clearly states Manufacturer coupon on the top, but has an LU# at the bottom. What’s going on at Publix these days?!

    • carolin

Shelley. Ebay is a great place to buy coupons. Often times you can buy 10 for $1. I’m new to couponing too. The first few months are kinda difficult. I’m hoping that things will get easier once I have my first stockpile. Life cereal is my favorite for breakfast and snacks. The trick is to buy enough cereal on sale til the next time that it’s on sale. I’ve heard that some people no longer buy their favorite they buy what’s on sale.

    • Lindsay

my mom had a similar experience at publix when they told her they didn’t except ip over $1 so she email corporate and this is their coupon policy.

Thank you for your email. We appreciate our customers taking the time to contact us.

We will always comply with all rules and regulations that are printed on a coupon.

If a product is on a Buy One and Get One Free promotion you can use one manufacturer’s coupon on each item.

If a product is purchased with a Buy One and Get One Free manufacturer coupon no other manufacturer’s coupon can be used on the same item.

There is a limit of one Manufacturer’s coupon and one Publix coupon per item if no limit is mentioned.

Publix will accept “cents off” Internet Coupons for $5.00 or less. We will accept “free product” Internet coupons for $5.00 or less. We also reserve the right to reject any Internet coupon that does not appear to be legitimate or does not scan properly. Internet coupons valued over $5.00 should be approved by a Manager or Customer Service Team Leader.

In the Atlanta division, we will double manufacturer coupons up to .50 cents.

Also, we accept traditional supermarket competitor coupons. Please see your store manager for more details, as there is no written policy on this.

Again, thank you for taking the time to contact us. If we can be of any further assistance regarding this matter, please either call our Consumer Relations toll-free number at 1-800-242-1227, write us at the Publix Super Markets Corporate Office, PO Box 407, Lakeland, FL 33802, ATTN: Consumer Relations, or contact us at our website, publix.com and mention your reference number, # 609702.

Just got back from publix spent $35 and saved $69!!!! I was wondering if it was just me but I saw lots of bogo that was unadvertised? like swiss pudding and nutrgrain bars I saw others but did not have a pen 2 right them down.

    • Just got back from Publix. PSYCHED! Spent $103.60. Saved $118.04!!! I saved more than I spent!! We got soooo many things we will not have to go grocery shopping for at least 2 weeks!!! I wish I could show you my receipt!!! That was including steaks, ground beef, pork ribs, paper towels, charcoal, a few cereals, multiple produce items, etc. The kicker for me and the “wow” factor that finally set in was that I got 4 Coffee Mate refrigerated creamers for $.16 a piece!!!!! I know most of you do those sorts of things all the time, but I have only been doing this for about 3 weeks, and have only the coupons from 2 Sunday’s papers, competitors, and online.
      I am HOOKED.
      Thank you so much Jenny.
      I will NEVER go back!!!
Ps- Paige, I saw those items on the weekly ad. Check it out, theres also a few deals they did not add to it like Ore Ida potatoes.

    • Elizabeth

Quick question—our store has Pepsi 2 ltr. products (including Diet Dr. Pepper) on sale, B1G1 and I also have a manu. coupon for B2G1 free….so if I buy 2 do i actually get 3 free? If so, that seems like a pretty good deal, 5/$3.28. Thoughts?

Also, if I have a .75 coupon for this week’s B1G1 Kellogg Fiber bars, and they’re $3.19 regularly, when my coupon is doubled (its barcode is starts w/ 5), it would be .10 right? That wasn’t reflected in the original message at the top, but I’m assuming that’s because every store’s coupon doubling policy is different? My store doubles up to .99. TY for your help

      • Jenny

You have a Publix that doubles up to .99 cents!! I haven’t heard of one of those. You are a lucky person. You are right on your math for the Kellogg’s bars if that is what your store does. With the B2G1 coupon… since your store doubles my guess is that you are not in FL so your B1G1 items aren’t really free but half price. Meaning that you will buy 3 and your total cost will be 3 for the reg.price of 1 (pay half price for 2 and get 1 for free)

    • Jenny
I have a coupon for a Buy one get one free Oust air freshener. If it is BOGO in the stores one of these days, and I use the coupon, does that mean I get both free?

      • Jenny

For Publix if you live in Florida they will both be free. For drugstores in any state they would both be free.

    • Jessica

Another deal I noted this week:
Newman’s Own Sweet Enough all natural cereal is on sale for $2.99, and I have a $1 off coupon for it that I think came from the 3/15 paper.

Lindsay, thanks for posting the Publix corporate coupon policy that your mom got via email. I haven’t had any trouble so far, but if I ever do, I’ll bring a copy.

    • Jessica

The Greenwise magazine coupon for the Immaculate Baking Company dough doesn’t go into effect until 4/1. Fortunately, my Publix doesn’t start the new sale week until Thursdays, so I may go get the dough on Wednesday the 1st, if I have time, and use that coupon.

    • just a word of advice if you live in spartanburg,sc the publix on reidville rd is very coupon friendly.also. there is a website called my savings.com you can print coupons also if you have any coupons you dont want you can trade all it cost is a stamp.sometimes it is worth the stamp.

    • also you can use to bilo coupons where u purchase the leading brand and get theirs for free.their are some buy one get ones at publix where u can use bilo coupons.

    • Joe

I’m sorry, I think I have this right but am I understanding that the $1 Taco bell home dinner coupon is at Target? I’ve went to two publix and it’s not on their products. So I can get it from target and take it to use it at publix? Sorry, i’m new at couponing. Thanks

    • K

What do you consider to be the best day to shop at Publix in SC? Do you shop Thursdays after you match the deals that start on Wed? Do you shop Sun/Mon to get mystery/penny coupon deals?

      • Jenny

I shop on Monday usually to get the penny item.

    • Joe
If you go to a super target, there should be peelies on the Taco Bell products. I tried looking at two regular Targets by my house and they did not sell Taco Bell products.
The peelies are regular manu coupons that you find on some items.

    • Paula

      Hey Jenny,
Did you know that Publix is having a “Compare it for Free” promotion going on from now until April 1st. If you buy a Ragu (small size) you can get a Publix Pasta Sauce (same smaller size) free to compare. Also, Kraft Original BBQ Sauce, you get a Publix BBQ Sauce for FREE. And if you buy Guldens Brown Mustard, you can get a Publix Brown Mustard for Free. You have to have the cashier ring up the Competitor brand first and then the Publix brand after. It is so people can compare Publix brand to a national brand.

Check it out when you go in the store – Only 1 promotion (1 Sauce, BBQ, and Mustard) per person. So please don’t get 2 or more of each, and be kind and honest and don’t come in more than once to keep getting that deal.

    • bob

Can someone show what the 2/22 redplum looks like? Were looking for those elusive Kellogg’s coupons. thanks!

    • Paula
That deal is in the flyer. It’s pretty good isn’t it?

    • Paula

Aymie, the deal is really great – especially if you have coupons for the competitor brands. I just wanted to put this on comments because I didn’t see it posted any place on here.

Also, just want everyone to know that we were told this week that if you don’t have the penny coupon – you don’t get the item. We are no longer allowed to just punch in a code. I am sure all stores were told this, but ask your customer service people if that applies in individual stores. Yeah, I have the fun all day of telling people “NO you can’t have this anymore” (I’m being sarcastic – I hate saying no).

    • Paula

amy, I hate to hear that you are going to “stick with BI/LO” just because the Publix is following the rules. They ask for a coupon with each item because they know people are using coupons for products they aren’t buying. Stacking to many coupons for the same item (which is hard to track on large orders and a stack of coupons at the end of the order). Publix has the best coupon values in the business. They try to go above and beyond any other stores savings for couponers. We could be like all the others and not take competitors at all. I just think (not speaking for Publix) they are getting tired of being taken advantage of them(and sometimes getting ripped off in the meantime). I think it is “sour grapes” that you want to stop shopping at Publix because they would not let you do something that it clearly states you shouldn’t be doing.

    • Sadly both Crystal light coupons up top are not working, however in today’s newspaper there is a buy 2 get 1 free crystal light. They are already bogo so stock up because it is buy 1 get 2 free!!

    • Also, Suave professional care shampoo/conditioner is on sale at Publix. Use Food Lion $1.00 off 2 and also $1 off 2 manu that came in today’s paper! Stock up!

    • the knoxx gelatin is 1.39 in spartanburg,sc and it is where the jello is if anyone is interested. my 2 coupons worked just fine today with my purchase…

    • Nikki

Hey ya’ll. I am new to this “extreme couponing.” Question – what is this $120 rebate booklet you are talking about?

    • regarding the Knox mq’s- there were also some in one of the paper inserts a while back- I don’t know which- but I have three of them.

    • Angie

I was at a Col. SC Publix and the cashier said that they are not stacking Publix Coupons with any other coupon. They checked my coupons VERY CAREFULLY. Is anyone else seeing this?

    • christina

I shopped at the Harbison Publix today because I was tired of the coupon critic at the Lexington Publix. I spoke with the manager at the Lexington Publix a couple of weeks ago, but nothing has changed. I found the harbison publix to be super friendly as long as you aren’t trying to cheat the system. We cannot make copies of coupons people. Please don’t spoil it for everyone by doing so. I’m afraid if this continues they will stop with all internet printables. :-)

    • Shannon in ATL

Just my 2 cents on the internet coupons but I cannot imagine stores not accepting those. With so many print newspapers having financial difficulties and subscriptions down and their futures uncertain, I think internet coupons will continue to gain popularity.

    • Shannon in ATL

Text EXTRA to 89074 to have a $1 coupon for Raisin Bran Extra emailed to you.

    • amy

Paula, I guess from my perspective… as I called Publix to get all of the new coupon rules (there are 7 “new” rules ) I wanted to be staying in the guidelines, the manager was very disgusted and angry about coupons and coupners..all together. I would think she would have been delighted to have a coupon customer who wanted to know exactly what the new policies were before I came. I do know how some have taken advantage and how some have abused the coupon rules (some people have done it innocently until explained otherwise). BUT There will always be people who have very little integrity…what can you do?? I just wanted the new rules. The Snowhill Publix has changed policies often since they have been open since December. so that is why I called….
another example of many weird vibes from publix…My friend for the first time went to Publix and saved almost %70 (which is not that uncommon) and the check-out lady said “well…there goes my bonus.” She felt really bad after her shopping trip that her savings may be at someone else’s cost. I only hope that the cashier was mistaken or JOKING…. the Publix at snow hill…for the most part..(some employees have been NOTHING but KIND) makes me feel like I am doing something wrong and I use mostly mfc…(I, for the first time in Feb, used a competitors coupon “stacked” because they said i could..even though i told them my coupopns said i could only use one)…
Now Snow Hill falls behind Bi-lo for savings..since Bi-lo doubles up to .60…AND they stack house coupons and they give higher number of rain checks. since SH publix does not stack (even house coupons) anymore AND no overage on mfc…they are falling in the ranks…
As for Bi-Lo they have never been nothing but very happy to take my coupons. I am not sticking with Bi-Lo because Publix sticks with rules…I LOVE RULES =) I just want to KNOW the rules and be welcomed as a honest customer that is working hard to save money for my family. My bi-lo gives coupon classes and once a manager who had to override a coupon that I used, walked up and said “yeah!!! a couponer!! I love to see how much money you guys save!!” She made me feel like I made her day by stopping in..LOL! she was so sweet! For all you who have A great Publix, that is awesome!! I have been there and LOVED it… IN NO WAY SOUR GRAPES!! I am just staying away from mine at snow hill till they get the policies straight and happy about it…and if the deals are good enough I will bypass snowhill and go to the Brainerd Publix…an extra 15 miles..no problem for a huge savings but also a warm greeting =). Just my oppinion…

    • Jeannie

I think the Kellogg’s q’s were Regional. I take the ATL paper and they were in that Redplum insert, but they were not in my smaller local paper Redplum. The covers look exactly alike, but our local paper does not get as many q’s as the ATL paper (every once in awhile the smaller paper has q’s that are not in the bigger paper, but not often.)

    • Melissa

I had a great experience at Publix today!

      Here’s the bargain:
      Kellogg’s Cocoa & Fruity Pebbles B1G1
      2 boxes= $3.69

      Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes
      $1.99 each = $4 (-$1 off 2 printable) = $3

Free gallon of milk w/ purchase of 4 Kellogg’s cereals!

So, all 4 boxes of cereal only cost me $6.69 AND I got a free gallon of Publix milk!

Thanks for all your great knowledge Jenny! :)

    • Misti

didnt get a chance to read all the posts but in case no one else mentioned it..there is a 1.00/2 Kellog’s nutri grain bars at Target! you can print them from http://sites.target.com/site/en/supertarget/page.jsp?title=coupons_specials

    • Misti

Oh yeah also-I had read on a blog somewhere that if the first five digits of a bar code on a coupon matches the first five digits on a box of cereal you could use the coupon so I tried this and IT WORKED!!!
Example the .55 coupon for Honey Combs cereal has the same first five digits as the Pebble’s cereal so I asked the cashier to try it and it scanned so they took it!

    • Jenny M.

I went to the Lexington store last week, and tried to do a Mq/FoodLion/Publix coupon stack on Birds Eye. The cashier had the manager come over, who said that they can no longer take a Food Lion coupon AND a publix coupon for the same item. Apparently they are now counting them both as “store” coupons, and you can only use one “store” coupon, whether its FoodLion, Publix, Kroger, etc. Bummer.
I have a feeling our good couponing days are coming to a sad end, now that many people are doing it, and some are abusing it.

    • Amy

Jenny, needs some help. My coworker Karen attented your coupon class in Atl a few weeks ago. She went to Publix on Friday and was trying to buy the starkist tuna, she has a coupon from the “blinkie Machine” from a few weeks ago and a manuf coupon from the paper. The cashier, and store manager came and told her the coupon from the blinkie maching was also a manuf coupon and she could not use both coupons for her item. However, nowhere on the blinkie maching coupon did it state manuf coupon. She contacted Publix corporate however they have not contacted her back yet. Since you used to, or still do work with the blinkie machinge company, could you offer some advice. Are they manuf coupons, or not? thanks

    • debbie

Why can’t I print the crystal light coupon?

    • Lora

Just noticed in the SS 3/29 there is a b2g1 free coupon on crystal light. Does anyone know if you can use this with the b1g1 free deal and get it all for free?

      • Jenny

It depends on where you live. In FL you would get both free, anywhere else they each ring up half price rather than one being free and the other being full price, so you would get 2 for the half price of one.

I have been looking for a Food Lion coupon that I THINK I saw a few weeks ago but cannot find now: the $2 off 2 cartons of eggs. I usually download the pdf files, but it isn’t on any of my files. Did it expire? Or did I accidentally delete it because all of the other coupons on the page had already expired? Am I crazy?

      • Jenny

Christina, That FL coupon expired. I try to take them done when they are over so if you don’t see it on the main list that is usually the case.

    • Anyone know how much their birds eye veggies are at their store? I am trying to use the $1.00 off three manu one I have since it expires tomorrow.
      And Jenny, question…
I have a manu $1.00 off 3 bags of birds eye, a $1.00 off Publix for 3 bags of birds eye. Can I also use a coupon per bag?? I have 3 save $.35 off one bag of birds eye… The others are save $1.00 on three bags???

Just letting you know, my coupon for the Knox didn’t work for the overage. The cashier she could only make it for the value of the product (1.39)I was so upset… I think she was just being a coupon nazi! I will NEVER go back into her aisle! Thanks for all you do Jenny!!

    • the publix on reidville road has no glass cleaner so i went to the one in hillcrest spartanburg,sc and they have tons wish i had more than 4 coupons for the glass cleaner .24 not bad!!

    • maryann

sorry Jennifer! I took the last 2 I saw off the shelf today around 3pm

    • Christa

FYI – live North of Atlanta – Publix milk is advertised for $ 2.79 in sales flyer instead of $ 2.99 in your text.

      Thanks for everything!!

    • Jenny,
I printed the CoffeeMate Creamer coupon off their site, but it states on the coupon “Save $1.50 when you buy two(2) 15oz or larger packages of Coffee-Mate Liquid or powder any variety”. My question is, how are people using it at Publix and getting the creamer for only 16 cents? That would only be possible if they allowed you to use the $1.50 coupon on each one. If you use the $1.00 coupon on one, and the $1.50 on the other two(of the 3/$5 deal) then the final cost is really 3 for $2.50 or $0.83 per container, right? Or was there a coupon for $1.50 off of one that I missed?
p.s. my Publix manager said he had never heard of the penny deals on Sunday and Monday. Why’s that?

    • Does anyone know how long it takes upromise to “redeem” the e-coupons? I shopped at publix last week and used my shoppers card and it states that the glass plus e-coupon has not been redeemed yet I purchased 2 of them. Thanks for your help! :)

    • Debbie

no more crystal light coupons will print

    • Jessica

Amy, the “blinkie” machines are all manufacturers’ coupons. They have some at CVS, too.

Anne, if you are in Florida, we get shafted on the penny deals. Only applies in other states.

    • Anne
There was a $1.50 off one coupon for coffee mate. You only had a quick chance to redeem it, and if you didn’t keep hitting the backspace you would have only been allowed to print one. I was lucky and able to get 4, but I am guessing that was my limit since I am unable to print more, unfortunately.

I tried the knox coupon w/ the 1.39 gelatin last night at my Publix and “no-go.” I politely just asked them to take it off the order and went on with my purchase. I’m not going to EVER complain about my Publix… they take all my coupons from Wallgreens, Food-Giant, Kroger, Target, etc. and the other Publix just down the road doesn’t.

I do try and go to the same cashier each time and this time had a different one, but I think the $4 coupon on a $1.39 item might have been a red-flag for any of the cashiers.

If any of you are in the North Suburbs of Atlanta… the Haynes Bridge/Old Alabama Publix is WONDERFUL (and the Kroger across the street is just about the nicest I’ve ever been to, so it makes 2-stop shopping runs easier)

I didn’t know about the Publix brand free with Brand-name on the condiments though… will have to return for that one! (and I thought I’d finished my Publix runs till Thursday!!)

Thank you Jenny… and everyone else who shared deals that helped me save this week!!

    • Aymie,
Thanks for clearing that up. Funny thing is when I first clicked on the coupon(probably the $1.50 off one) it popped up “You’ve already used this coupon”. I wrote the site and said, “this is my first time ever on your site, I’ve never printed one out before!” Then the next time I pushed print it came out $1.50 on two. About hitting the back button, is that ok to do, or it that “reprinting” the coupon as it says on the coupon “no reprints allowed”> Just wondering… Thanks for the reply.

Does anyone know where the policy is stated that says that if you are charged the wrong price at publix you get the item free? I want to try this since I had two misspriced items but not unless I can read and print out this policy to take with me. Thanks!

      • Jenny

It is not in writing that I know of anywhere, but if you go in they will never give you a problem. Just hand the item to customer service and they will refund the money and hand the product back to you.

    • I know this is late but there is a Target coupon for $1.00 off two nutri grain bars, and it is bogo at Publix. Might want to print it and rush there!

    • Whitney

Hey Jennifer, You should be able to get a rain check for however many glass cleaners you want, and when they come in, you will still be able to get that price.

    • If I have a coupon for buy Hillshire farms lunch meat and get a bag of Lay’s potato chips free, can I get a bag of Doritos (bogo) since it’s Frito lay company? Would that make the other bag free??

      • Jenny

The coupon will probably work on any Lay’s product. The two (Hillshire and Lay’s) are not in the same product family so the code on the coupon has to be pretty vague. If you are in FL (which is what my memory is telling me) then yes it will make both bags for free.

    • Yes I am in FL.
Thanks so much for the info! It couldnt hurt to try! Thanks again! This is so addicting and fun!

    • Sarah

Looks like Publix is changing their policy on Hwy 6. . .looks like they are not going to give overage anymore . . . ya’ll pray.

    • maryann

byrnes grad….. i have like 6 of them if you really need some i can share!!!

    • Teri,
Check near Customer Service, look on the side wall by the cashier and lastly also on the wall going out of most Publix. It is label “Publix Price Guarantee”.

    • Quen

You can print the price guarantee off of their website. On their website, click on about Publix, then Q&A, then store and it should be the 5th Q&A down. Also, like the other poster said, it can be found at the store.

    • Jenny
Had a frustrating experience tonight at Publix.
I had two coupons for nutri grain bars $1.00 of 2 Target… I have never had a problem with them taking Target coupons. The cashier was so rude to me about it and said “I dont know if youre aware but they changed the policy, we can no longer take Target coupons.” I replied “Well I guess I will have to call the manager again and have him reverify that because its never been a problem.” That comment made her angry, she barely even looked up and said “Well I *guess* I will take it just for today.” She almost threw the change at me, didnt say goodnight, bye, nothing. I said “I hope you have a great night, take care.”
So I went in the car and immediately called and spoke to the manager. He was so nice about it, and apologized for her behavior. He even said “I dont know where she got THAT from, our policy hasnt changed one bit, in fact we take pride that you use your competitor coupons with us rather than any other grocery store.”
He then went on to say “I will definately talk with her and I apologize again and hope this doesnt steer you away from Publix.” I politely said no, but I know I will never be going through her line again!!!
What do I do in the future should another situation like this happen again? Do I argue with the cashier, have a manager intervene, let it go?? What would you do??
      Thanks Jenny!

    • christina

Aymie what store were you at if you don’t mind sharing?

    • It was in Central Florida. The Port saint john Publix off US 1, know of it??

    • christina

No, I am in SC.. Just sounds all too familar. :-) Have a great night!

    • LOL I think all Publix’s are starting to give harder times with coupons… I don’t understand why… They get reimbursed plus $.08 each coupon!!!
