It’s Wednesday again.  Here are the deals at Publix this week.  These deals start 6/10 or 6/11 in some areas.  There isn’t much free this week, but there are some great prices.

Don’t forget the Health and Beauty Advantage Buy Deals. (New Yellow Advantage Buy deals start next Saturday and will be up soon.)

Check out the Food Lion Printable coupons before you go shopping. Remember that you can use a competitor coupon for house brand items on Publix house brands.

Note: It is always a good idea to ask customer service what your store accepts as competitors before shopping.  Even if you asked the last time, just ask again.

1. You do not have to buy 2 of the B1G1 items to get the sale price
2. If you do buy 2 items that are B1G1 make sure you use 2 coupons to get the best deal
3. Publix accepts competitors coupons (you can stack with a manufacturers coupon and a Publix coupon too)
4. You can use a store coupon and a manufacturer’s coupon on the same item
5. Most Publix locations double manufacturer coupons that are.50¢ or less

** #1 and #5 do not apply in FL and coastal GA**

What is the St. Ives deal at Walgreens this week? I can’t find it in the ad. I can’t wait to go for the $5 off $25!

      • Jenny

It is next week at Walgreens starting this Sunday. St. Ive’s Body Wash for $2.99 and get $2.99 RR back (free before the coupon) so use the coupon and make $1.50 profit after the RR.

    • Melinda

    • FREE Chex mix if you combine the printables listed above with the Target $1/2 IP’s. Hopefully your Publix accepts Target coupons as competitor coupons. I’m seeing a whole lot of Chex Mix in my family’s future! Thanks for the **awesome** matchups. You are a blessing.

    • Amy

Where did the Simply Delicious booklet come from?

    • Charis Webster

WOW — lots of repeats — I don’t need much

      4 things — AACCCKKK I think I might faint!

    • Louise H

where are ya’ll getting the ‘family its own reward’ booklet?

    • Thank You! I always go to your website first on Wednesday!

    • Sabrina

I’m confused about the Mt Olive Pickle deal. I have a $.55 coupon (from a blinkie) and the bar code does start with a 5, but how will that be doubled. I have never seen Publix double any coupon over $.50??

    • Sabrina

I’m confused about the Mt Olive Pickle deal. I have a $.55 coupon (from a blinkie). The barcode does start with a 5, but I have never seen Publix double any coupon over $.50??

    • Sabrina

Sorry, didn’t mean to post that twice….my computer is acting strange.

    • Kelly

One the Buy 2 Get 1 Free deals, do you actually have to buy 3 to get the deal, or is it like the BOGO’s where the price of each item is automatically adjusted?

    • Laura

Thanks for the heads-up on St Ives!

What does it say about me that I was dreaming last night about the All detergent, whether or not to match it up with a hangtag for free Clorox bleach that I found the other day. . .? Sad.

    • Julie

I can’t get the Knorr coupon to download. I got all the way through the registration, and it said my coupon would open in a new window, but when I click the “download coupon” button, it never opens. Anyone know what to do?

    • crystal

Is it just me or does anyone else find the knorr product coupon funny? I can’t wait to use my coupon (that is in spanish) and see what the cashier does! Lol

    • Sharon

Yes, I’ve been thinking about which cashiers at my Publix might speak Spanish (although it’s clear what it says if you use common sense)!

    • PAIGE

I have singed up for the cherios coupon twice and have not gotten it. Anybody know what I can do?

    • There is peely for free ACTIVIA 4 pack with the purchase of any 2 Kelloggs AllBran Cereals. If you choose those as your kelloggs cereals this week…free yogurt!

    • Emily

I think someone else had mentioned this before, but I emailed Publix about the Family Is It’s Own Reward booklet and they told me as well that it is actually an UPCOMING promotion, at least for my area, so they are not out yet here.

    • J

What a disappointing week for us! I love Publix, but only see a few things to buy :-(

    • J

There are no more prints for the Northland juice, it says the campaign is over.

    • sharon

I don’t even see the Knorr coupon on the page with the Ragu! Help!

      • Jenny

It is the Knorr jar picture the second coupon down. It is .45/1 off any Knorr product.

    • Kim

FYI for anyone wondering about the Yellow Advantage Buy flyer: I asked the CS Manager yesterday and she said that it doesn’t start until this Friday, the 12th. She said it was odd that there was a gap.

    • Jenna

      Emily–Where do you live?

    • MelRae

Yay for cheap tampons! I have six coupons just from the March 22nd SS that expire on June 30th. Looks like I will be getting six boxes!

    • Amy

I also would like to know where the Simply Delicious booklet is from. I’d like to get it if possible. Thanks. Also, at the bottom of the Food Lion list of coupons is a link for dog food with Pedigree coupons to use with the Publix sale: Pedigree Dog Food, 13.2 oz can .60¢ ea B1G1 Pedigree Dog Food RP 5/03 or printable (makes it .30¢ ea). Also a tearpad for any two boxes of Kelloggs cereal, get free eggs up to $2, and a tearpad for two Wishbone, and get $3 off a watermelon.

    • Jennifer

Thanks for the deals Jenny. Your fingers must have been smoking you got these posted so quickly today.

The Northland Juices site says that they are out of prints for the campaign. Just wanted to let everyone know.

    • Emily

Jenna – I am in Birmingham. Hope this helps! :)

    • Emily

Can anyone advise me on what would qualify as a “good” deal on boneless, skinless chicken breasts? I am still trying to figure out best prices on some things…

Jenny – Thank you for everything you do! I was looking forward to Part Two of Saving on Produce! Are you still planning to post that at some point?

      • Jenny

I am, I get swamped with normal weekly lists and email and things get way behind from when I wanted to do them :( I will try to get it written this weekend when there are no deal lists to make.

    • Melissa

Just wondering if there is a site anywhere that shows the deals for Winn Dixie. Our Publix is a pain to shop at and those are the only 2 stores around.

    • Melissa

Sorry…computer froze. I wasn’t sure if it sent.

    • Jenna

Emily–I’m in Columbia and haven’t seen this either. Hopefully it’s in the future for us too.

    • Valerie

I just came from my local Publix in the Ft. Myers, FL area and they said they are no longer taking two coupons on the bogo items. They said it was coupon fraud, as the item was free and they can’t give us money for a coupon if it is free.

    • Janice

      Jenny –
Under “other deals” you have Publix Chunk Cheese and then Purdue Whole Chicken – but I can’t tell whether your green note “stock up price is 1.50 per 8 oz” goes with the cheese or the chicken. Can you clarify? Thanks so much for all your hard work!

      • Jenny

Sorry it is the chunk cheese, just letting you know that it is a larger size but still a good price.

    • Misty

I only see a coupon for the chex mix bars, can that be used for the listed items. *still learning*

    • Emily

Thanks, Jenny! I can be patient! :)

You have gotten me excited about farmer’s markets and I am planning to take my daughter to the local one on Saturday – hoping for good weather! :)

    • lynn

melisa where do you live i am in the tampa bay area and that is our only two choices also but i find that even with out the double coupons i d realy well

    • ET

Julie in #14, I had trouble at first and then realized that my pop-up blocker was turned on so I had to disable it for the coupon to print. Like others, I wonder if I will have trouble because it printed in Spanish, even though I selected “English” as my preferred language!

    • Misty

okay so I got the chex mix thing figured out but cannot get the Ragu or Knorr to print either :(

    • Amy

My Publix BOGO items ring up half and not free so I can’t see them saying the item is free so they won’t take 2 coupons! Anyone else not get her Publix saying that?!

    • Mina

Janice, the stock up price for cheese is $3/lb or $1.50 for 8 oz. (Chicken chest price in this area is $1.99/lb for blsl) Cheese has been hitting even lower prices in the past few months, but the $3/lb is its normal best sale price.

    • Mina

Valerie is in FL. That state has true BOGO sales. Customers pay full price for the first item of a BOGO and the second is actually free. They also don’t double coupons there.

    • Mina

There are 2 manufacturer q’s among the store q’s in the upcoming Advantage Buy flier which will run through July 10th. One is .75 off Country Crock spread, expiry 8/15. The other is $1/2 Ben and Jerry’s 16oz ice creams. It expires on July 31.

    • lynn

i live in florida and i am abl eto use two coupons on a bogo sometimes people are miss informed or maybe they are changing the rules here ………………. yes here in florida they dont double coupons i dont know why if any one does would love the answere to this one thanks

    • Folole

Just wanted to share a couple of prices to plan your shopping trips –

Personal size Digiornio is $2.50, use $2 FLIP
Publix 1/2 gallon OJ is $1.99, use $1 FLIP
Tropicana 1/2 gallon is $1.99, use $1 FLIP
Pulix Med dozen eggs is $1.29, use $2/2 FLIP
      A-1 Steak sauce is $4.19, use $2 FLIP, plus $2 Manf. q

    • Trish

Anyone know of a Publix in the Greenville, SC area that is “coupon friendly”?
I’ve been shopping at 2 different locations and they are so hard to deal with when using coupons. The managers are getting to where they come over and check out every coupon and are very unfriendly. I hate to feel like I am shopping in enemy territory everytime I walk in.
      Thanks for the help.

    • Melissa

I live near Daytona and our Publix still takes 2 coupons for a BOGO. I just don’t like our Publix the cashiers are rude and everything is out of stock or out of date. I did really well with the K-mart double coupons this week but I was just wondering if anyone ever lists deals at Winn Dixie.

    • Christina

      Hi everyone
I new to the site and I was wondering about the use of coupons on some items. First let me say I live in FL and the rule for BOGO in my area is pay full price for the first and the second is free and you can double coupon. “Use coupon for both items.”

So my question is whenever Jenny lists an item she puts the coupons under you can use. Can you use all the coupons listed under that item at once or is she just listing all the different ones you can get out there?
For instance: General Mills Cereal: Cheerios, Honey Nut or Frosted Cheerios, at $4.29
-$1 off Cheerios printable (makes it $1.14 ea)
      -.55/1 off Cheerios printable
-$1/2 any General Mills Cereals printable
-$1/2 Cheerios various types SS 6/14

Can you use all of those on that item?

I hope this makes since and THANK YOU SO MUCH JENNY for everything you do. I love this site !!!!

      • Jenny

All the coupons listed are just to help you find everything that is out there. You can only use one manufacturer coupon per item you purchase so pick the best one or grab a few of the coupons and buy a few items.

    • Mina

Melissa, there is Winn-Dixie discussion forums on Hot Coupon World. Have you checked them out?

    • Carolin

Thank you Folole for the FLIPs. Does anyone know of any manuf qs for the tropicana oj or digornio pizza? I love this website. Keep up the great job.

    • Melissa

No but thanks I will check it out.

So it’s been about 5hrs since I got back from the store but I just have to “vent”. I have always done “the coupon thing” since my husband and I got married but was just introduced to this site over the weekend…so now I’m hooked…but still new to it also. So I head into Publix all excited today and when I checked out everything got all crazy. The cashier didn’t want to let me use the spanish Knorr sides coupon (HA!) and when I tried to use the Target coupon along with the manufacturer’s coupon to make the chex mix free she told me I couldn’t do that. She said that they treat the Target coupon like a manufacturer’s coupon…so I paid…then asked for the manager. He was super nice (thank heavens, cause the cashier sure wasn’t) and he looked over the coupon and handed me my dollar. I felt so frustrated, even though it turned out fine…just hoping I don’t have to go through an argument every time I head in there and try to use my coupons. And to top all that off…the cashier kept trying to make me pay for a banana that my 3yr old daughter had been given as we went through the produce section by a very kind elderly man who was stocking fruit…

    • Kelly

There is a .55 coupon for Wishbone dressing in teh Personal concierge booklet found at the customer service desk.

    • Heather

      Trish (#49)

I have shopped at 3 in Greenville, SC…the BEST two are Publix at Thornblade (take pelham rd to the Parkway, near I-85 and go to the end, shopping center is on left) I have NEVER had prob’s there, I shop in evening mostly. This first one, by the way, seems to have the most coupon booklets, blinkies, etc in their store compared to the others. Then there is one on Pelham rd close to East North st which has been great, too – never had an issue with coupons or with anything else. The Woodruff rd one, though, has been deemed “coupon nazi” territory and I’ve experienced 2 cashiers that give me a hard time even though I’m following their rules. (one reads EVERY word on every coupon, but, alas, she’s usually the only cashier there near closing time.) Oh well…ya gotta have the tough ones to make the easy ones all the more a blessng to your day! Happy saving! Heather

    • Lynnette

I’ve used $4 off $20 from CVS at Publix. Can we use the $5 off $25 purchase from Walgreen’s at Publix?

      • Jenny

If your store accepts drugstore coupons then yes you could use that coupon!

    • Jill

The Publix near Furman University is the easiest one I know to deal with. They will take coupons I forgot on my next visit at the customer service desk! They never ask any questions! The one on Wade Hampton is nice, and much bigger, however they are extremely picky and I have been questioned before, never denied though! Hope this helps!

    • caitlin

You were asking about good deals on chicken breasts. I just wanted to share a good way to save money. It is very easy to de-bone and skin bone in chicken breasts. These cost way less than the boneless skinless ones. It takes a couple of minutes, but definitely cheaper. I also keep a large ziplock bag in my freezer and put the bones in there along with the scraps of my celery, carrots, and onions. Once the bag is full I use it to make homemade chicken stock. I haven’t bought boneless skinless chicken breasts in years.

    • Stacey

Jenny there is a $1 off coupon for 16 oz chunk or shredded cheese in the Bi-lo Bonus Saver flyer that could be used here!

    • Jessica

Just got back from Publix in Mt. Pleasant, SC. Barber stuffed chicken (frozen) is on sale and there is a $1/1 printable at smartsource.

    • Cori

I have only ever shopped at the Publix on Wade Hampton and have never had them question a coupon. Always very friendly. However, I have never found their coupon books there. I have shopped at the one by Furman only once and did not have a problem there with coupons, but I don’t think you can base that on one visit.

    • Trish

Thank you Heather, Jill and Cori!

    • where do you find “family is it’s own reward” booklet?

    • Jennifer G

I have a question about coupons; some of the ones I print off specifically say “do not double or triple” in a little black box on top, where it usually says “manufacturer’s coupons”. Is that just a note from the manufacturer to the store? Or should I just ask at Publix and see if they will still double it? Or just not worry about it? Just wondering…anyone know?

    • Shery

Recently I tried to use at Publix a Food Lion store brand coupon for 1.00 off their 12-pack soda. The assistant manager said that they could not take the coupon for the Publix store brand. Has anyone else come up against this? I’m fairly certain that I have used similar coupons on Publix brand items in leu of a Food Lion brand.

I don’t want to make enemies at Publix, but if I can use a coupon correctly in their store, I want to know. Thanks!

    • Shery

Also, for Trish, I have shopped at the Publix on Pelham (near E.N. St) and the Publix on S. Pleasantburg (next to University Center). Both of the stores have mostly been very receptive to me and my stack of coupons. I have to admit that I don’t carry a notebook of coupons with me. I prepare my shopping list, my coupons, grab my fabric grocery bags, and then shop. There have been some cashiers who are more friendly and don’t seem so uptight about scanning the coupons (I tend to go to them).

I have used many competitor’s coupons–Bloom, BiLo, Food Lion, mostly. However, I have not tried using any Target coupons, because I figured they wouldn’t accept it as a competitors since we don’t have any Super Targets in the area, but if I get brave enough, I’ll ask the manager.

By the way, one of the “bag boys”–a really sweet young man who is so polite–likes to cheer me on to see how much savings I can get on my grocery bill. He always helps me take my groceries to my van and is just a delight to be around. I do believe that the majority of the Publix in our area have kind, helpful staff. The managers have also been helpful and I try to be polite and grateful to them–this is their livelihood afterall, and I believe the “golden rule” goes along way in the world of couponing!

      Hope this helps.

The Driscoll ORGANIC strawberries are $2/5 at Publix in Tallahassee. I used 2 TARGET $1 coupons and got them for $1.50 a tub (normally $3.99 each). That is a great deal for organic!

    • Just got back from Publix in Powder Springs, GA and they are also running an in-store deal on V8 splash 64 oz bottles-B1G1. I was able to use two V8 printables on those and got them for 65 cents each.

I walked out with $36.76 worth of groceries for only $6.21. YAY!

The Dial Body Wash is an excellent deal even at Walmart they are normally $3-3.49 each.

    • Oh…and also they have “Summer Savings” books at the kiosk up front with $19 worth of coupons in them.

    • Kelly

I can’t get the knorr coupon to print either. It says will open on another page but that’s it.

    • beth

Just wanted to say that my publix is getting extremely strict with coupons. I has a coupon for the platex sport tampons and grabbed the regular playtex box because they were on sale. was not allowed to used that coupon because I didnt get the product specified on the coupon…
can anyone explain how I can match up the coupon barcode with the product bar code? Thanks!

    • Christina

Beth – Publix4pennies.com has a Barcode Basics section that explains how to read barcodes – that should help :)

    • Rita

Hi, my first post but couldn’t resist commenting on “Crabby” Publix staff. We have 2 Publix locations here in Gainesville, GA. I live about 1/2 mile from one and 5 miles from the other. At the closest one the Chasiers and Customer Service managers are grumpy and argumentative. You’d think the cents off was coming out of their pockets. Conversley, the one that’s 5 miles from my home is very friendly. It’s out of my way but worth the trip to have a pleasant shopping experience. Monday (while at the friendly location) I’d forgotten my mystery coupon and asked the cashier if I could still get the cheese, she said sure you don’t need the coupon here, that’s just at the other store, we’re nice they’re not. I’ll be doing my shopping across town more often.

    • jen

i just want to say thank you to all the carolinians who post such great things about the publix and which ones they shop at . i know we are third in the nation for the highest unemployement but just wanted to say thanks for all your inputs.im not trying to leave any other state out but this is a state that is still trying to survice!!

    • I used the Knorr coupon at Kroger this week without a problem. :)

    • Christie

my publix in the atlanta area is holding a ‘buy theirs get ours free’ special on the Mt. Olive Pickles – sweetens that deal considerably!

    • ChristinaD

Trish, I’ve been doing a personal study of all the different Publix in Greenville. I have created a continuum in my mind as to how coupon friendly they are. Here’s what I’ve found:
Thornblade and Fairview Rd are VERY coupon friendly,
      S. Pleasantburg (McAllister Square) is pretty good but just had my first problem there this past monday,
my only experience with the downtown one (McBee?) was unpleasant so I’ve never been back,
the Pelham Road one near the 24-Hr CVS and Walgreens has become less and less coupon-friendly (I actually tried to complain to corporate about an Assistant Manager there that has NO idea how coupons work and insisted I cannot use more than one coupon if it says “Limit one per purchase”- so she wouldn’t let me buy 2 of ANYTHING with coupons. I say “tried” because corporate gave my number to the district manager and I never was contacted),
and the one on Wade Hampton (right by my house) has been so picky and given me so many different stories as to their coupon policy that I gave up on them. For example, a young boy in there told me that they would only allow me to use 1 competitor coupon per transaction no matter what store they are for.

I have yet to try any other Publix in this area. Hope that helps!

    • ET

I live in the south metro ATL area and this is the first time I have noticed at least a few differences in our Publix and what was posted. The Canada Dry/Diet Rite, etc. are not on sale, but our 12 pack coke products are. I had my Pillsbury Savorings coupons and was looking forward to trying them but they were not on sale. Well, I didn’t have them ring it up, but there was no sign on the freezer case and I couldn’t find them in our ad. Additionally, our M&M/Mars candies rang up at $3.75 for two bags instead of $2.93. It was still a decent deal with the coupon! Oh, and strawberries were $2.00 for a 16 oz. container and our store carries Driscoll so I was able to use my Target coupon for $1.00 off!

    • misti

How do I get the Kroger home mailer?

    • VeronicaB

If someone hasn’t answered you, here you are.
I know in firefox it will not download. Try IE if you are not and temporarily allow popups from the drop down window. It took me 15 minutes to figure it out, but I got it.

    • Stephanie

Along with the Kellogg’s Special K bars being BOGO the Kellogg’s FiberPlus bars are also BOGO. I had $1/2 coupons from previous boxes of these. Just a heads up.

    • Cathy

$50 of great Kraft coupons that can be used only at Publix – these can be printed even if you have already printed the other Kraft coupons!!!!

    • Cathy

The Publix Kraft coupons also say “retailer coupon” not “manufacturers coupon”, so Publix may take them as a store coupon and let you stack (store coupon with manufacturer’s coupon).

      Worth a try :)

    • Alison V.

CHARITY- get to know your manager and stop by the desk up front to speak with a supervisor of some sort to go over the competitor q’s. that’s what i have to do now. whenever you email publix, the store mangr has to call you back and their job is customer service. my cousin recently compained about her publix and the manager called her and told her he straightend everyone out on the q’s and what they accept. (last weekend we both went to this one and there were all these new rules!)

knorr and ragu printed in spanish for me too after i disabled pop up blocker, then it shut down all my open windows each time! ug

    • Shawn

Does anyone know if you can use the Food Lion coupon that states getting free clorox bleach when you purchase All detergent? I didn’t know if Publix will honor the free item or not.
      thanks in advance!

    • Lisa Neicen

Wrong size detergent on the FLIP… I thought the same thing at 1st glance!

Not sure if I saw this posted but there is a 5 off 35 Piggly Wiggly coupon at the Summerville stores in the flyer, page 3!

    • Mina

For all of those who, like me, have been frustrated about not being able to obtain the Family is Its Own Reward booklet, the word from Unilever is that they are scheduled to be in the stores the END OF NEXT WEEK.

I’m really looking forward to those!

    • Mina

In her blog entry announcing the Kraft/Publix coupons, Jenny asked that we not discuss stacking them with other manufacturer q’s because they are coded the same way that MQ’s are even though they say Retailer coupon, and Publix on them. So, let’s follow her wishes, play fair, and treat these appropriately by not attempting to do that. :-)

    • BeccaM

I’m having problems with everytime I try to print something using smartsource, it says I’ve reached my print limit when I haven’t printed any coupons in a month or more! I’ve tried using other browsers but it’s frustrating since I can’t get these deals. Anyone else having that problem or is it my computer/server?

    • There are several in-store specials at Publix this week. Oscar Meyer Bologna is bogo as well as dial 3 pack soap, just to name a few, but there were several other great in-store deals!

    • Mina

BeccaM, it’s possible that you HAVE reached your print limit on the particular q’s that you’ve been trying to print. I know that it’s been over a month since I printed some, but my print limit is reached on those, too. Some print limits are for the entire deal.

Sometimes I get really stupid messages from SmartSource that I know don’t apply to me because I’ve never printed a particular q. I’ve found that it does no good to write to them, explain the situation, and ask for help. All you get are robo answers, even when it goes to what they call “Live person” or something like that. It’s still issues unhelpful and inappropriate robo answers. They evidently have some glitches in their system, but seem unwilling to admit to consumers that any problems can stem from their side.

Hang in there. I’m hoping that when the new Kraft q’s come out this weekend that SmartSource does a complete reset at the time. That may solve your problem.

Bricks is the one that seems to have the most frequent problems.

    • Linda

There is a $10.00 off $50.00 coupon for Winn Dixie in the Friday edition of Tampa Tribune for all of you in the Tampa area! My Publix happily takes coupons from Winn Dixie and Albertsons. Thank you Publix!

    • Sharon

My eastside Publix in Athens, GA rocks. Everyone there is wonderful.

Deal on Lowry (sp?) marinades. There is one flavor on clearance for 1.40 (Chili and lime). I used the 1.00 off two from last week’s Sunday inserts and got them them for .90 each. I found these on a little clearance rack by the customer service desk–maybe other stores have a similar clearance area.

    • Kim

I cant find the Pillsbury Brownie coupons anywhere. I get the AJC…anyone know where some are? Thanks! Kim

    • Elaine

ok, Just got back from Publix here in Wesley Chapel, FL. They took my spanish knorr coupons, no problem, they were out of the super size boxes of playtex, so I got a rain check and they have a new coupon book out for Kelloggs special k cereal/products. It is a good one, so look for it, esp since it’s a bogo item this week!!! The front has a red bikini and says “Get 2-piece ready $10 savings Spree.”

    • Rachelle

Ok I am alittle confused on this one.

Clorox Green Works Natural Cleanser or Dish Detergent, $2.50 ea
-.50/1 any Clorox Green Works product printable
-$1 off any Green Works product printable (Food Lion)
      (use together makes it .50¢)

This is not a BOGO deal…it is under the “other deals” section. So if you have both the $1 off coupon and the .50 cent coupon then doesn’t that make the total $1.00, not .50 cents???

Sorry if i am completely missing something really easy…my 2 yr old and newborn have drained any brain cells I may have still had. :)

    • Rachelle

ok please ignore my last question….my brain has come back….i forgot that the .50 will double…..ahhhh!!! sorry!

    • lynn

some one in npr went on a news paper buying spree wasnt a tampa tribue around the stores were saying that one woman came in and bought all they had hmmm got the same thing every where i went couponing is getting hard in these parts with all of them being grabbed up wish they would leave some for the rest of us oh well ….

    • Lynn

I never have a problem with the Bricks coupons printing (unless I’ve reached my limit ;D) but I can never print Smartsource coupons. It always gives me a message to download Java. Do I have to disable my popups and security in order to print these? I hate doing that but should I switch it and print – then switch it back? Or is there a way to print without having to do this?

    • lynn

lynn.. i was having the same problem with smart source and yes i had to diable pop ups now i have no problem printing most of smart source coupons there are still a feww i cant print..

    • Jodi

I have a question. First, i will explain what happened at publix the other day. Knorr pasta is B1G1. so i bought 2 and attempted to use 2 .45 Q’s. The clerk said i couldnt use both Q’s since there would be overage. I understand that they loose money when overage is given, not that i was wanting it. but i didnt know that they could reject a legitimate Q. they said they wouldnt change the value for me to get it for free without the overage. so i opted to not buy the knorr pasta. what do u all think? should i call corporate and ask them? i saw on the computer that it was doubling and it was going through ok. i have never had a problem with a Q being rejected until now. thanks

    • lynn

jodi what publix are you shopping at that they said that?

    • lynn

they dont lose money when there is overage the get the full value of the coupon from the manf.

    • Steve Estes

Just went to Publix Spent 59.00 for 195.00 worth of Groceries!!!!! I am new at this. As I stock up on coupons I can build my stockpile!!!

    • Sonya

Don’t know if all the Publix stores are doing this. But,I went to the one at Murray Landing today. The new Advantage ad due out today was not on the turnstile. So I ask for it when I went to check out. The cashier said they don’t put them out anymore because people were taking to many at a time. So he got me one from customer service area.
Just a heads up if you don’t see them out.

    • Jodi

Lynn, this was at the publix in goose creek. the clerk called over the manager or assistant and she said the .45 Q could not be used (the computer was accepting it, but she didnt want to) since it would double to .90 which would be overage on another product. i just started this couponing a few months ago and have never had a problem with this publix. i asked if this was a new rule, she said they r not ever to allow overage. i guess i will call corporate on monday because this knorr Q is a legitimate Q and i would like to try the pasta.

    • Angie

My publix in Northport, Alabama will not accept competitor coupons any more.

    • Elizabeth

I read that some other people had success at the Publix near Furman but I’ve had A LOT of problems at that one. There is one manager in particular that is a royal pain, and for a while several cashiers were being “coupon nazis” and making the customers do things like lay the coupons on the items or match each one up with the item or going through already bagged groceries and recounting. I think they got enough complaints that they stopped those kinds of practices, but they lost my business entirely with their bad customer service. I also found that a couple of things I bought there rang up overpriced. I caught it, and the manager (the bad one) acted like I was asking him to climb Mount Everest to correct it. Plus, their coupon policies seemed to change every week. One week they’d accept FLIP’s and the next the wouldn’t. So I switched to the Publix on Wade Hampton in Taylors and have been fairly pleased. I have a couple of favorite cashiers. One of them cheers me on and asks me for couponing tips.

    • Dianne

Unless it has changed, my Publix has a policy if an item rings up wrong you get it for free. If your store has this policy, maybe the best thing would be to let it ring up and then go to customer service to get a refund. So maybe you were doing them a favor by having the manager correct it at the register.

    • Angela

Anyone having problems with Publix taking blinkies plus manufacturer coupons? I never had a problem until today. I had them put half my stuff back for me since they wouldn’t take them.

      • Jenny

Most blinkies are manufacturer coupons and so in the store you need to pick which coupon to use. The one you brought in or the one you find there. But they can’t be used together.

    • Diane

Did anyone notice that the Barber Foods Frozen Stuffed Chicken is BOGO this week? I think there are coupons somewhere online too!

By the way, the Special K Chocolate Pretzel Bars are AMAZING!!!!!!!!!

    • Stephanie

Can someone tell me if you have to buy two of the product when the coupon is “$1 off 2”? Like the Dial deal mentioned this week where it says to use a “$1 off 2” and then also a “$1 off” to make it $1.24 each…so this scenario assumes you buy 2? Just checking to make sure I’m not buying two if I don’t have to, thanks!

    • Ryann

On the Dial deal, you pick which coupon you want to use. In this case, the internet printable is a better deal b/c you only have to buy one. If the coupon says $1 off 2, then you have to buy 2.

    • Ok, so today at the Publix in Irmo they said:

They do not take coupons from Walgreens and such, and do not take Foodloin, kroger ect. brand coupons. Example $5 off kroger froozen Veg.

      So sad

    • Sam

I was at the Pulix downtown Columbia they do not take Harveys,Blooms coupons no out of state stores.I still love shopping at Pulix.

    • Duncan, SC shoppers!

Found the Family is its own reward book today…right in front of the milk/dairy area there is a display with all of the featured items stacked on the floor (lipton tea, sides, etc). The books are hanging in the middle of the display. Had to discipline myself to take just one! Estimate there were around 40 or so.

    • cj

Northland coupon link says: “the are no prints left in this campaign”

    • momof2

Just got back from Publix. I got 6 A1 steak sauces for free. This will be great for my July 4th get together. They were priced @ 3.99 ea. I used the $2 manuf q(that was in this week’s paper) with the $2 FL q (which expires today). Final price for ea. FREE!!!!! I also bought some Digirono Pizzas(personal size) for 79 cents each. They were priced @ 2.79 ea less $2 FL q on any size which brought final price to 79 cents each. These will be great for summer lunches for the kids.

    • Susan

I found the “Family is its own Reward” booklet at the store on Wade Hampton in Taylors, SC and at the one by Furman today. At the WH store, the display at the front behind the cooking kiosk was empty, but the manager found one for me in the office. The Furman display had several left on it.

    • Lisa

Thanks for posting the $10 off $50 coupon in Tampa Tribune. I’m new to this so do all or most Publix stores in the Tampa/St. Pete area accept Winn Dixie and other grocery store coupons?

    • Sonya

Have you tried using the Kroger $5 off $45 and $6 off $60 Kroger Coupons @ Publix? Didn’t know if they would honor?? Since Publix is the only one that seems to be honoring other grocery stores coupons.

      • Jenny

Publix will honor those coupons! Enjoy.

    • I had came across a sitiation with Publix yesterday and wanted to know if this is something that has just started since I never had trouble before,I had a manufacturers coupon for the Snuggle softener along with a blinkie that i had found in Publix a while ago. When I handed over my coupons the cashier stated these two coupons were both manufacturers althought it says “Top smartsource coupon machine” at the top of the blinkie. Can anoyone help me figure this out.

    • Kelli

FYI – My Publix in Jax, FL in Oakleaf and on Roosevelt Blvd will no longer stack manuf Q and store/competitor Q. Also, they said they no longer take coupons on the free items (for BOGO), but I haven’t had an issue yet with being turned down.

    • employee

I posted this on a previous Publix savings post, but I thought it would get read here instead of there. I don’t know if it answers any questions posed here, but maybe it will answer any lingering ones.

I am also a cashier at Publix, not Customer Service or management, simply a cashier. Personally, I’ve never had a customer yell at me, but many talk down to cashiers because they refuse coupons. The honest reasons cashiers may not seem thrilled with your coupon purchases are: 1. more and more, management is breathing down our necks about coupons. A newsletter to cashiers from my store this week threatened possible termination from the store if our tills were short because of coupons. Coupons, especially competitor coupons, are actually costing the store a lot of money. 2. A lot of couponers assume they are right about the coupon simply because of what a website, not just this one, may say. The truth is, like Jenny said about stores in Florida, every store has a different policy. Corporate has almost no regulations about coupons in Publix, so management must make one that keeps the store from losing money and keeps you saving enough money to keep you coming back. 3. Honestly, though it sounds lazy and like poor customer service, sometimes at the end of a long day, a stack of coupons looming before us is the last thing we want to see. You guys know how much time and effort you put into matching coupons with the sale items. We’re expected to do this in a timely manner and with a happy face. As previously stated, we love to see you save the money, but it’s simply a pain to scrutinize every little slip of paper like our stores require that we do. So just be friendly; couponers are often some of the most friendly customers. Many don’t take the time to talk even when spoken to, but almost every customer with many coupons is willing to make small talk. Just as customers often brighten my day, I do my best to brighten yours.

We don’t double coupons that say DO NOT DOUBLE because we’re told not to. That’s the bottom line. Ask your local manager; don’t get upset with the cashier. We’re at the bottom of the totem pole. =)

I read nearly every comment on this post, and it makes me happy that so many of you are happy with our stores. However, it makes me upset that all we hear is negative feedback! Many of you mention your favorite cashier. Shoot an email to corporate and mention their name and store. Heck, they might get a pat on the back, a free sub combo, or even a raise because of it. If we get customer feedback, the cashiers who deserve praise receive it and the cashiers who don’t, well, don’t. Give names on here if you want. We don’t mind, and that way, other couponers will know who is coupon-friendly and who is not.

About B3G1 on items that are already B1G1, I always give the customer the 50% price for free. The way we are told to ring up free items is to do a price check on the item then take that much off. If the price is 1.50, it wouldn’t be right to give 3.00 off. That’s my logic anyway. Once again, if you disagree, take it up with a manager. We’ll do whatever you need to make you happy. That’s why we have signs that say “We will never knowingly disappoint you.” That means tell someone who can fix it!
