Not a super exciting week for Publix but there's some great sales elsewhere so I'll be back to my fave store next week!

      • Amy

Guess it depends on what ya are looking for. This is the first week in the last 3 that I will be making a special trip for things there. : )

There is a Target q on their website for 50 cents off the Campbell's Select Harvest. Makes them FREE plus overage paired with the $1 off manufacturer.
There's also a 50 cent manufacturer coupon for the Chex Mix (4.5 oz or larger, any flavor).

      • Tina

        can't find on target :(

        • 3monkeysmom

Try zip 63366. That's what I found it under :-)

    • minibreeze

New to this site. It looks great! Thanks Jenny! I saw on the buy price list sample that there are free items. Is that for certain stores? Where would I find that type of stuff? Such as the free laundry detergent?

      • Many times that you would grab at a drugstore. Get it on sale and then use some of their rewards to pay for it!

    • I don't have it right in front of me, but a while back there was a sheet of coupons that you could get by making a donation and I believe there is a $2.00/2 Deer Park coupon. That would make a fantastic deal.

      • le sigh. Not for that size. Too good to be true.

    • snppmommy

What zip for red plum ben and jerry's?

    • Melissa H

Is there a good zip for the General Mills $1/2 q?

    • Just finished another Xtreme Coupon class this evening. You will soon have another 30 or so SS lovers!! :-) I LOVE Publix and Southernsavers!!!

    • kidsallgone

Had a not-so-great Publix shopping trip this evening.
The person in customer (no) service was pretty cranky (rude?) and not helpful at all.
Then my cashier inspected all of my coupons as if it had invisible white (poison) powder on it!
I bought over $125 (before coupons) and she would only let me use 1 $5 off $25 Rite Aid coupon. Said Publix was cracking down on using more than one. I asked her if I could just get $25 worth of items and then pay and take them to my car and come back in for $25 more and use another $5/$25 coupon. She looked at me like I was a martian, so I just said, “Nevermind. I'm just kidding.” Is this a new policy for Publix? Anyone run into this? Should I take my receipt back tomorrow and see if I'm able to get credit for my other Rite Aid coupons ($5 off $25)? Or just forget about it? Also, does any one know what the price of the BOGO cole slaw was throught today, the 24th? I don't think I was charged the right amount. I think I was charged $2.29 for the container. Thanks for any replies. Oh, the store is on Savannah Hiway on Main Rd in Charleston/Johns Island, SC.

      • Marina115

The stores in my area (Atlanta) stopped taking $ off $$ coupons about 8 months ago. When I talked to the manager, he told me it was because too many people were abusing Publix's lenient coupon policy. In my opinion, if they took one $5 off $25 then you probably don't want to demand that they take another one because it's a courtesy on their part. Remember they don't get reimbursed for those. :)

        • Ashbaby

Thank You.. I am sorry that some people makes it harder for those of you that do the right thing. Some of our Publix's only take true competitor's coupons.

      • Ashleylofq

Are you kidding me ? This is the reason why Publix is getting strict on thier coupon policy. They are doing US a GREAT Service in taking those ” Rite-Aid ” $5 off coupons, and to try to use more than one is abusing the system. I am hoping you are a ” newbie ” and someone told you wrong, and you have not been doing this else where. My store in Brunswick, Ga allows one competitor's $ off $$ total purchase with a $ of $$ total purchase Publix coupon, but the total order has to alteast be the amount of the two combined. I didn't mean to come across as rude, but I am tired of everyone getting greedy over the coupon system and messing it up for people who are trying to use the coupons the right way.

        • Ashbaby

Thanks you. You are right that is why we have to do what we are doing about coupons. Some Publix's have stop taking Target and Rite Aid. We are going to only be taking true competitor's coupons.

          • Mom,Wife,&Nurse

Why would Target not be a true competitor when they have a full grocery section?

        • Scqponqueen

Personally, I would never use a Rite Aid coupon at Publix anyway. To me, that's not a competitor unless you are buying pharmacy items. If I was buying OTC medications or something like that, then maybe. I appreciate all that Publix does and would just never ask them to honor one of those whether or not it is their policy. That's just me though. :)

          • erins_deals

Mine won't take 'em and I wouldn't ask them to.

            • Wendy

My Publix cashiers have actually questioned me as to why I didn't have a $x off $xx from Rite Aid or CVS. I would have never dreamed to use them at Publix, but more than once the cashiers have looked at me like I'm crazy to not use them. As for qualifying drug stores as not competitors of a grocery store, I would disagree. There have been numerous occassions when I have bought grocery items at CVS when it made sense. That being said, I would not use a Petmart $5 off $25 at Publix and only purchase $3 worth of pet supplies.

        • Danielle

I have to agree. Our Publix here (Chattanooga, TN) doesn't accept drug store, Target or even Earth Fare coupons anymore. They said they'll only honor the actual grocery store competitors. It does make sense. As much as I'd like to get most everything for free, its only sensible to remember when the coupon system is abused the companies lose money and will discontinue the program. Personally, I'd like Publix to stay in business. They're saving our family a lot of money!

          • Alice

Danielle you might want to take a trip to Ooltewah. The Publix there is great. They take all coupons in the area except the 5-25 rite aid coupons. Which I'm fine with because it seemed a little fishy using those anyway. The only coupons I go in with are Target, Food Lion, Walgreens, and Rite Aid. I used to not even do the Rite Aid video values, I just don't go to Rite Aid much but now I do them. They even give the cashiers the option to do couponing classes I think. They are always very knowledgable. I went in today and bought 210.00 and paid 66 bucks for everything:) Probably my biggest sale to date. I normally don't buy much but its end of month and it was also the morningstar sale:) It took the girl a few minutes to ring up the coupons but she was so cool and chatty the whole time. The woman in front of me and behind me were couponers to so we all chatted while in line. I have to say that normally when my husband and I used to go shopping people avoided us in a way. My husband has his septum pierced and we look a little alternative and young. Since couponing I have had ladies that wouldn't give me the time of day be so sweet. The one today in front of me even offered me her extra morningstar coupons! Oh and I saw more than one girl toting a Southern Savers printed shopping list:) hehe love it that you do that. Wow sorry long post but was excited hehe.

            • Beth

I like the one in Ooltewah, too. Never had a problem there, but then again, I've never had a problem at the one in East Brainerd, either. I didn't know that Ooltewah took the RA and WAG's coupons, though – thanks for the tip!

            • samantha

I think the WAG and RA coupons are a new thing. I went to the one in East Brainerd tonight and the cashier had to check with customer service but they confirmed it. Now its bi-lo, food lion, target, WAG, CVS, rite-aid and Earthfare for competitors…pretty cool.

            • Beth

Good deal! Glad they started accepting some of those. Never had a problem with Target, but I’ve overheard cashiers/management say no to some places like drugstores and Earth Fare. Thanks for the update!

          • Beth

I just went to the Publix in Chattanooga (East Brainerd) yesterday and used Target coupons without any issues. Can you tell me about your experience with the Target coupons and when they stopped taking them, etc.? I'm curious! I love using Target coupons, never abuse the system, etc., so I'll be sad if they stop taking them.

          • Mom,Wife,andNurse

I used Target coupons at the one in Hixson yesterday. I don't feel guilty because I feel Target is an actual competitor. I went to Super Target in Spring Hill on Sunday and shopped and got stuff that was on sale. What's the difference with that and Bi Lo?

          • samantha

They accept bi-lo, food lion, target, rite-aid, walgreens, CVS and Earthfare now. I called to confirm before I went out to East Brainerd…heard it’s all the ones in Chatt now..

            • Beth

Earth Fare? Just last week I overheard several employees tell a few folks that those coupons were no longer accepted at the East Brainerd location. They change their minds a lot!

        • kidsallgone

Hey! Thanks for all the replies regarding my “issue” with my Publix only accepting on $/$ Rite Aid coupon. The only reason I posted was because I have been going to that same Publix for over a year and ALL of the cashiers have ALWAYS taken ALL of my $/$ Rite Aid coupons. They would say, “Give me all your Rite Aid coupons first, then the others.” That has been every single time I've shopped at this same Publix. I am not being greedy. I'm happy that they even take one, but I was just stumped when she announced that she was only accepting one Rite Aid coupon. I was buying over $100.00 worth of groceries (as I always do everytime I shop there), so I was expecting to be able to use several of the $/$ coupons. I'm sorry if I came across as greedy. I was just more confused than anything. I just didn't know what to say to the cashier when every single time for over a YEAR, every single cashier took ALL my $/$ Rite Aid coupons for every $25 I spent. When she did tell me “no-go,” I just looked puzzled and then smiled and said,”OK, well here's my other coupons that I know you'll take.” I even had the BOGO pepsi and BOGO feta q's. I got 1/2 price on one and the other free. Not sure if that was correct, but I was happy enough to get that.
SOrry this is soooooo long :)

      • Homeisthebeachnow

I go to that location as well & a cashier told me they will not take those $5 off $25 at all anymore:( So I'd say you're lucky if you got to use one.

      • Kmickeyd

The other day at my Publix, they limited me to only $5.00 worth of printable coupons (actually, I was a little over and she got her manager's approval!). There have been so many fraudulent coupons floating around, that the stores have had to do this. My BJ's won't let you use a printable manufacturer's coupon without a manager's approval. It's a real shame that we get punished for the those out there who spend their energy trying to cheat the system! And so goes life……

      • Womblesams

My Publix will not let me use those coupons. They said for them to take a competitors coupon they have to have a deli and a bakery.

      • emerson

you should only be using one competitor coupons for 5/25 on each visit or they will stop taking them all together if we get greedy

      • my publix stopped taking any and all drugstore coupons, because of the RA Video Values.

      • mlm

Interesting that so many are disappointed at Publix for not taking the $ of $$ coupons from Rite Aid. First off, Publix does not get reimbursed from Rite Aid (or any manufacturer) for the $ and second I haven’t heard of Rite Aid doubling MFC’s up to 50cents yet. Be grateful they are hospitable enough to have great customer service by allowing you to use even one.

      • Anonymous

I gave the cashier a 5.00off/25.00 Rite-Aid coupon the other day (my total was 86.00 before coupons) and she asked if I had another one, because they would take up to two $$ off per order for each 25.00. I would run it by the manager. It couldn’t hurt.

    • Jane

      Too many sweets!

    • Darbyke

I can’t find the Fiber One or the chex mix on Coupons.com. Anyone know where they are?

    • kika

does anyone know what is a beef tear pad and where to find one for the A-1 dollar off coupon? thanks

      • Drewsnana3

        did u google it?

      • cassie

check ebay, you can find REALLY good coupons there when you cant find them….you may have to pay a dollar or two, but the payoff is worth it!

    • Snowski824

The Fuel for School coupon for the Kelloggs cereal is not applicable to the cereals that are on sale. You have to buy 2 Froot Loops, Apple Jacks, or Frosted Flakes.

    • Cypress88

Question – If a store is running a B1G1F special and I have 2 coupons for that item, can I use both coupons?

      • Pam

        Yes, you can!

        • Igot5ltlboyz

I did not know that, how cool for you guys in FL!!

          • It really doesn't work out to a better deal wyb 2 unless it is a free item or BOGO coupon.
            For example:
            Half Price
            BOGO $4 ($2 each)
            Minus (2) $1/1 MFQ
            Equals $2

            True BOGO
            BOGO $4
            Minus (2) $1/1 MFQ
            Equals $2

I just wish we had coupon doubling…

        • You most definitely can use 2 coupons on 2 items (BOGO) in Florida!! They both ring up and then the free item is immediately deducted. Thus you are purchasing 2 items and can use 2 coupons.

      • Igot5ltlboyz

Yes, but only if it's not a true BOGO. Here in AL, each item rings up 1/2 price, so you can use 2 coupons, plus stack with 2 store/competitor coupons. In FL, it's a true BOGO, they ring up one item full price and the other is free, in that case, you can only use 1 coupon and 1 competitor/store coupons. Hope this helps!! You'll LOVE Publix once you get the hang of it!!

        • Natalie559

In FL true b1g1 you can still use 2 coupons :)

        • Cypress88

Thanks, I'm on my way to Publix now : )

        • kt1177

At the Publix stores in Tallahassee, FL you can use coupons as if you are puchasing two items.

        • You can use two manufacturer's and two store on true BOGO. It is perfectly acceptable, in fact the store would be stupid not to because they get reimbursed the amount of the coupon + 8¢ for manufacturer's coupons as well as the fact that most BOGO deals are a deal made between Publix and the manufacturer to sell more items.

      • Anonymous

I have been told by others on here that you can use 2 coupons in Fl even though they are a true BOGO (One rings up full price and the other rings up free). You can most definately use two coupons everywhere else (BOGOs ring up half off each item).

    • June_compton

Our Publix will not take Taget coupons. Is this a new policy?

      • Bigmomma

yes and all the stores will be on the same policy.

        • No all stores are not on the same policy. I emailed corporate the last time someone said “all stores will no longer accept Target” and their response was “It is up to the individual store manager who they wish to accept as a competitor. If a manager tells you it's a store wide policy he/she is either lying or misinformed.

      • Scqponqueen

Publix started doing that in August of last year in my area… Simpsonville, Mauldin, SC
They had signs posted at all of their registers the entire month of July 2009 and started it on August 1st if I remember correctly.

      • KashLea1

From my understanding, it varies from store to store. My central FL Publix takes it & Target is well over 5 miles from them.

      • Kknicoco

The stores here (Jacksonville, FL) accept Target coupons.

    • I went to publix yesterday on Woodruf Rd and they do not take any other store coupons except from grocery stores like bilo bloom and ingles I think were the 3 they mentioned. They didn't take my target coupons but everyone was very nice and helpful and the cashier did not mind taking all my coupons.

      • Becky E

I just heard (and checked for myself) that Target gets their coupons through e-centives. You can go and print the same coupon without the Target logo. Hope this helps!

        • 100coupons

I would be interested in the link where you found coupons w/o Target logo.

      • Jaimelweaver

Chrissy – They also accept Whole Foods as a competitor – only at the Woodruff Road store (not the one at Five Forks). Makes for some good healthy deals! Hope that helps!

    • Starr

anyone having trouble w/ smart source? it tells me that they are down because of getting new coupons ready…this is the first time this has happened to me.

      • This happened to me earlier but it is working now.

    • AJ

I was at Publix yesterday and there were some peelies on the Betty Crocker Potatoes. $1 off 2 boxes.

      • AJ

There were also peelies on the Morning Star Farms stuff. $1 off 1 box.

    • Deninen

Does anyone know what zipcode to use for the Dove chocolates?

    • kate

Has anyone found the Dove chocolate printable?

      • Marina115

I printed some late last night, but I guess they must be out already. Sorry.

    • jackie

Is there a particular zip code for the Kozy Shack pudding q? There wasn't one in my 6/6/10 SS.

    • oneplustwins

trying to print the Nabisco cracker coupon…it takes me to the site and lets me “clip” the coupons, but there is no button to print….am I missing something?? Thx

    • oneplustwins

What zip code for the Kozy Shack pudding, anyone know? Thx

    • Mchamberlain

I have had no luck with printing the Dove chocolates coupon. Any suggestions?
      Thank you!

      • YM911

There is a Riete, “Video Values” coupon for $1/2, the other one wasn't there, maybe needs a different zip code???

        • Ym911

tHAT SAID RiteAid when I typed it, my computer is crazy this am, took forever to just log in my email

    • Womblesams

There is a $.50 Target coupon for campbell select harvest soup so that would be $.31 overage.

      • Phoenixphyre763

how do you find the target coupons?

        • DonnaTN

Go to targets website scroll to the very bottom where it says target stores, click on coupons

    • Nmckeown

some of the fiber plus cereal boxes have “try me free w/ mai lin rebate” on the bottom back side… it's the ones that are “o” shaped- like cheerios- don't remember the flavor, but cinnamon something

    • Danyel

I'm wondering if maybe the differences in whether a Publix will take a Target coupon is whether or not the local Target is a Super Target. A Super Target has a full grocery department so they would be a direct competetor whereas your average Target just has a small corner of grocery items. Just a thought.

      • amy

My local Publix takes Target coupons and the closest Target is about 20 miles away and is not a super Target. I think it's totally random and depends on what the store wants to accept.

        • Alice

I have been told it might be a new store vs old school thing. the Ooltewah Publix is fairly new. just a couple years old and they are more open than the more established ones to coupons. Possiblity.

      • Wendy

You would think that would be their reasoning, but it can't be for my Publix. We only have regular Target stores and my Publix takes their coupons. Not that I am complaining!!

      • Bbcoughlin

In my area, there are two Publixes about 1/2 mile apart – on the same road. One takes target q's, one doesn't. Go figure…

    • kate

Well I can not seem to find the RedPlum coupon for the Dove chocolate but there is a Rite Aid Video for $1 off of 2 Dove Chocolates also there is a Video for $1 off 2 Nabisco Crackers if you combine with the manufacturer coupon that would make $2 off of 2, pretty good deal!

Also I just want to say that for the people on here that complain that the grocery store won't let you use 20 of one coupon, you are not supposed to photo copy them which is the only way I can imagine that you get that many, please don't make the rest of us look bad, thanks. And as always, Thank you Jenny!

      • guest

WRONG!!!! One can actually buy several papers, which I do.

        • Alice

she is meaning the internet printables not the ones in the paper:)

          • Kylegrover

the coupons i was trying to use were from the paper and i shop for my two daughters and son and myself they all work long hours and i help with their shopping

      • Kylegrover

i had 10 coupons all good ones no copies and they told me i could not use them they said they were a small store and only one coupon per person no limit was posted on coupon or in store

        • Anonymous

Wow! ONE! That is crazy. I have never heard that before, especially at a Publix. I would e-mail corporate.

      • Mom2teenagers

It is quite possible to have 20 legitimate printable coupons if you have that many computers- or access to them. I have 5 computers/2 printers myself so that's 10 q's that I can print (assuming print limit is 2). I have several couponers at work that will gladly print something I need although I've never asked because I would never need more than 10 of something at one time. I don't believe in hoarding, shelf clearing, or photo-copying coupons either.

        • Lorinbob

I too have 5 computers in my house, so I can print 10 of any one coupon. I only do this if it is something that I use all the time (haha..like the Wonka chocolate bars I got for 24 cents at Target using a TQ and a MQ stack)!
As well, I did the same with the Excedrine sale at Publix (ends today in some areas). Those are on sale for $1.49 and the coupon is for $1 off. I printed all of my 10 coupons for the migraine one. Ah, I forgot, same with the BOGO Pepsi at Publix that I got free with the BOGO coupon. That too ends today.
But, I will never go into one store and buy 10 of anything at one time.

      • Bumplett

Actually, I've never known of anyone to try to photocopy q's, but they will honestly get multiple q's.
I have one friend that will buy certain q's off ebay. I personally trade those that I don't use for those that I do use, so yes, you can get 20 q's honestly.

        • Sissypris

Yes, I work in a doctor's office with about 15 computers. So it is possible.

      • DonnaTN

The Rite Aid coupon for the nabisco i crackers are for single serve sizes so it shouldn't work with what's on sale at Publix.

      • Anonymous

Actually I buy multiple papers and trade with friends. As far as internet coupons go, you can print twice per computer. I don’t have time to run from computer to computer, but that doesn’t mean that they are copies. Copies will not show up a watermark by the way. I do find it slightly offensive that you are assuming that a person with more than a couple of coupons per item is somehow cheating. I don’t copy coupons.

    • Sibylle82

I did it! I finally had one of those aweome trips I've read about. This is week 5 of couponing for me and I think I'm getting the hang of it. Today my total came to $57.89, and I only paid $8.15! Woo hoo!

      • Alice

that is so great Sibylle I know when I did the motts medley a couple weeks back and bought 3 with 2 teryaki sauces I needed I ended up paying 24 cents. I just stared at my receipt I was so happy. I had always thought you had to buy a ton of stuff to get those kind of deals:)

    • millie

i went to publix yesterday only to find out that they are now limiting quanitities on rain checks……lame. so i went to publix this morning for the penny item and talked to a manager to clarify for myself the coupon policies at my store and asked about the quantity limits on rain checks and he told me that it was because 1, ONE, customer got a rain check for an item and had asked for like 6 quantity and then changed it to 60 and went to another publix to redeem it, so now it is messed up for EVERYONE! i hate these people, nobody needs 60 of anything. if you are buying for a food pantry at church or some event like that then go to the manager and make a request that way do not cause problems for those of us who abide by the coupon rules. Yes, there are coupon rules for those who don't know. sorry to sound so angry but i am but i also knew you all would understand, thanks for listening…;|

      • Alice

That is so sad:( My husband went in to our publix one day and saw a woman with 2 folders packed full of coupons. 2 carts and was blocking the blueberries (this was when the free coupon was out) so she could fill both her carts up with them. He said people were just stopping to stare and even the management were shaking their heads. Your right unless your working a food bank, and if you are I'm sure the store knows who you are, no one needs that many of anything. I'm trying to think, I don't believe I have bought more than 6 maybe of something and that was different flavors. I am hoping that people don't ruin it for those of us that are truly trying to follow the rules they set:)

      • Couponcrazy85

        what area are you in?

        • millie

my publix is in prattville, alabama just north of montgomery.

      • ColaMom

At the Publix I go to, we can only get 1 penny item per person- that would rule out that issue!

      • Frugalmomy

My Publix limits the quantity on rain checks to 4.

        • millie

mine is only doing 2 ;(

          • Jehs1982

I was so sad when they started doing that – some items you really need more than two of. The first time I found out about it was when Chef-Boy-R-Dee was on sale ….seriously, two doesn’t even make for one meal with the kids.

      • Tupperheads

my publix in GA the limit of any sale item is 15…I have no idea who would need 15 of any 1 item anyway so I have no problem! LOL I have 4 computers in my home so when there is a good deal on something my 4 boys eat like crazy I will print 2 coupons from each computer so sometimes I will get 8 of something, but all the coupons have different codes on them so they can catch people for coupon fraud if they make copy's…

      • Anonymous

I agree that 60 is a huge amount. I also wish that if someone needed that much they would talk to the Grocery Manager and ask them to order extra cases for them. As for Tupperheads, 15 is a lot, but there have been times when I have bought that many of something. I have four kids and a husband and we go through things like crazy, especially cereal, poptarts, deo., sham/cond, t.paste, etc…I would be grateful for a raincheck of 15 though!

    • Barnesmi

Did anyone's elses q for Farm Express print front and back??

      • Rita in Tn

there is also a .50/1 bugles coupon in the same insert and they are bogo too.

    • NancyMac

Does anyone know what competitor's coupons the Publix in Hoover, AL accepts? Not the one close to the new Target, but the one on Montgomery Hwy. Thanks!

      • Amanda

I go to the one off Doug Baker and they told me any competitor that is close to them. So, the Doug Baker one will take Walgreen's, Target and Winn Dixie

      • Mother-bunny

Well if all Publix are alike (Mine is in Florida) they will accept all printable grocery coupons & competitor coupons if they are from GROCERY stores – like Winn Dixie, Kroger, Super Walmart, ect. They will not take Walgreens, CVS, ect. I just asked the manager last week – that is how I know.

        • They are not all alike. Mine will take CVS, Walgreen's, Petco, Lowe's, pretty much anything. The best way to know if call your individual store, and definitely don't assume another Publix in the same area will have the same policy.

      • Ktodd1941

You can always call them directly..that way there's no confussion. :)

      • ChristyMy

I know they take Target coupons but I don't know about any others. I've never asked. If you find out, please let me know too! :)

    • Rita in Tn

There is a $1/1 Dove chocolates coupon in the spring Reinventing Beauty magazine (the issue with Penelope Cruz on the front)that expires 8-31-10.

    • crystalfawn

Don't see a printable V8 Splash coupon only for V8 Fusion and Vegetable juice.

    • Igot5ltlboyz

Woo-hoo!! I love Publix, almost as much as I love Southern Savers. :) Just a quick question, does anyone have an idea if/when the Lou Ana Oil will go back on BOGO? (It was about 1 1/2 months or so ago). Thanks in advance, you ladies (and gentlemen) rock!!

    • Ladeeda216

There is a Target coupon for .50 cents off Campbell's Select Harvest soup! Combine that with the 1.00 off coupon Jenny has listed and that would be free soup plus overage!

    • dkw

Okay, so I just got back from Summerville Publix on Trolley, I usually never have a problem there at all however today I checked out with this young man who totally scrutinized EVERY single coupon, I had two Target Q's for the Campbells Soup, he said I could only use one because it said in fine print one per person, even though they allow you to print 2 so I just did a different order. Then with the Right Guard, I had a BOGO coupon and for the one I paid full price for had a $1 off coupon, they refused to allow me to use both sets, I still don't understand why but I think it is ridiculous, at least I know not to go through that guy's line again, no one ever gives me a hard time there, I am an honest couponer. Everyone there knows me by name, they know I come in there at least twice a week and most times don't use coupons, they get A LOT of the money that comes through this house…One agitated momma.

      • Christycda96

That must be the new policy b/c I had the same problem in Spartanburg last week! I mean INSPECTED each and every one!!!

        • Anna

Same thing in Anderson, SC. Also, the past 2 times they have hit the override button not to double coupons. Maybe somethings changed at the corporate level?

          • Heather

I've had the same thing happen at the Clemson Blvd. Publix in Anderson with the inspections. No one has supressed the doubling yet, but the manager rang me up the other day and had two cashiers come over to check on coupons from their customers while she was checking mine. Weird.

      • LR

The Publix I shop at in FL has changed its coupon policy. They lay out all your coupons to match to what you are buying. The cashier said it is because the management at the store has changed. She said Publix moves their managers around once a year. She said the cashiers were told to match coupons to items because the store has been getting scammed by people who use coupons.

        • kinsi

I'm brand new to couponing, and today at publix my cashier did the same thing. (Marietta, GA on Delk) I didn't think anything of it, although I felt bad for the lady behind me in line!

        • Anonymous

It is not a regular thing at my Publix, but there is a cashier that does it with my coupons. I like her, she is just takes a long time looking for the right coupon to go with the right item. I have started offering to hand them to her as she rings them up. I know what Items have coupons, how many, etc…she appreciates it and it makes things go much faster for both of us. She doesn’t actually take the coupons off until the end so that if I have $$ off a certain amount (like Kroger or Rite Aid) it doesn’t mess with my total. It just helps her match them up and she doesn’t have a hard time later trying to figure out if I got 10 or 12 boxes of cereal (don’t fuss people, I have 4 kids and a husband that eat cereal everyday. That amount last about 4-6 weeks), what brands, etc…

        • MerrilynJ

I don’t think it’s true that Publix moves its managers around every year. My store has had the same manager for the 6 years I have been shopping there. In fact, almost all, if not all of the managers have stayed the same.

      • Sandy

I guess I'll play devil's advocate here, but I don't see anything wrong with what he did. The Target coupon does state only one coupon per person. It doesn't matter how many they allow you to print. Rite Aid VV coupons allow you to print hundreds, but policy is you can only use one. When I go to Target, I'm only allowed to use one per transaction.

As for BOGO combined with $1 off. This has always been YMMV because some stores would argue that the coupon attaches to both items (it's not a free item, it's a buy ONE get ONE). I would have let this one slide :)… but I understand why he said no.

I don't understand why people get upset when cashiers “inspect” their coupons. Yes, it is time consuming, but they are just doing their job! Publix gives us lots of opportunities to save. I am grateful for this and when there are times when they won't accept a coupon I just shrug my shoulders and know in the long run I'm saving a lot and I'm not going to sweat over a few cents.

    • A_bernot

Has anyone else found the coup for the Kozy Shack pudding? I am just wondering if I am overlooking it. Also, there is a coupon for Dixie Crystals sugar here:

    • Sibylle82

Does Publix accept Rite Aid coupons from the video rewards? The coupons say Manufacturer's coupon, but Rite Aid in the top right corner. Also the barcode starts with RC.

      • shellito1012

It all depends on your Publix…you need to call or ask customer service. My Publix used to take them and no longer accepts any drugstore coupons as a competitor. I am in AL.

        • millie

i talked to my publix today to clarify and he told me that anything attached to a reward card could not be accepted, so they will not take coupons that are video values or ecb's, anything that would require you to scan your card to use. but they will take coupons from RA, WGS, CVS if they are out of the sale paper or coupon books. i am in AL also.

    • Mollysavingmom

What is the zip for the Kraft Cheese Singles. I can't find it.

      • cacartwright

I can't find it either. I tried entering random zip codes, but I never did come across it.

    • Aflmom

Has anyone had any problems using the salad coupon. It looks funny the way it was set up on the page.

      • Ruth

I've used it several times now with no problems.

        • Aflmom

          Thanks, Ruth.

    • nikki

There is a $0.50 Target coupon for FiberOne Yougurt.Combined it will make it free plus overage!

      • amy

Just printed and it's a manuf coupon, can't use both.

    • Asmyers01

The Target coupon I found is a manufacturer's coupon. Still not bad though. Thanks for sharing!

    • jordie

Ok Lysol automatic soap dispenser is $9.99 at publix (not on sale) however if you go to walgreens get the coupon booklet expires this weekend get two of them they each have $5off coupons for the dispenser use two and you get it for free!!!!

      • Jason

They probably won't allow 2 coupons for 1 item.

      • Nsmom

Why/how would you use 2 coupons for one item? What exactly is the coupon good for? Is it 5$ off a lysol soap dispenser? If so, you can and should only use ONE! =)

      • Jessie

Using 2 coupons for one item, unless it as a manufacturer's and a store or competitor is cheating. Please don't do it. It makes the rest of us look bad.

    • Phyllis

How does buy one, get one free work if you have a store promotion and a manufacture's coupon for buy one, get one free? New to publixs! Thanks

      • Jennifer

I don't think that it makes sense, but this is how it works. I went to Walgreen's last week (and it's the same for Publix) where Right Guard deodorant was B1G1. I had 2 B1G1 coupons so I got four deodorants for free! Two B1G1 deodorants with 1 B1G1 coupon means that they cancel each other out and you don't have to pay for either. Cool, huh?

        • Marina115

I think only FL works that way. Here in GA everything rings up 1/2 price.

      • Tupperheads

at my publix in Georgia, since the BOGO ring up 1/2 price, you get the 1/2 price as the value of the BOGO manufact coupon…

      • itismedia

Okay, if you are in Florida, one item will ring up for full price and the second will ring up free. You can then take the BOGO coupon and both items will be free.

Ex. Regular price 2.00 (2×2.00=4.00) BOGO sale 1st=2.00 and 2nd=0.00
Take the coupon off the 2.00 one and you get two for .00

Everywhere else – The items will each ring up half off. Then you take off you BOGO coupon and one item will be free and the other will cost you the half off price.

Ex. Regular price 2.00 (2×2.00=4.00) BOGO sale 1st=1.00 and the 2nd=1.00
Take off BOGO coupon and you get both for 1.00

        Hope that helps!

        • Steve

I live in Florida and the BOGO coupons do not work like that on BOGO sale items. You have to buy a quantity of 3 paying for 1 and getting 2 free. That's the way it works at all the Publix stores I shop at and that is how the Florida based coupon shopping web sites explain it.

    • chris

I cant find the $1 of dove candy coupon. Help1

    • Sara

where, oh where is the cascadian farm coupon? i really hope i haven't missed getting any because the print limit has been reached. does anyone know which zip code i can find it under? thanks :)

      • Anonymous

I didn’t find it either under the coupons.com link. The only one I got was the better one for $1 for registering. It comes immediately so hth!!! (makes ’em free and my fam. can’t get enough of these)

      • Smic_uga

I can't find it either. And it's not showing up as print limit reached . . .

    • pamNsavannah

On the BOGO V8 Splash I see a coupon listed $1/2…but there is also a $.75 on any one (1) 46 oz. or larger V8 Splash beverage…I ordered from a coupon company online cannot remember which paper it came out of but wanted to let you know it is out there…that would make them $.84 each…this is my hubby's favorite drink I am going to stock up..

    • 1stTimeSAHM

Help! I am trying desperately to get the chex mix that is such a great deal for a weekend gathering we have at a campground! My question is- in the list it states that with the printable coupon, it should end up being 69cents. The only problem is- all the coupons that can be printed out have clearly marked DO NOT DOUBLE or TRIPLE. Is there somewhere else I should be looking to get the 50cent coupons that can be doubled to give me the total of 69cent per bag? Thanks so much!

      • Tupperheads

most cashiers dont pay attention to the do not double, I have only had 1 cashier 1 time press a button to not let a coupon double, so unless the cashiers at the Publix u shop always press that evil button, u should be fine…

        • Beth

I've met that casheir! Only 1 in the 3 Publix I shop at. I will wait in a longer line than go through hers. I was very upset the day she supressed several of my coupons because she treated me like I was trying to steal $1.50 for the store. She told me the store did not get paid back for the doubling and she would not do it. No one anywhere else (Kroger either) does that. When I questioned it at the service desk the service desk attendent told her she was supposed to scan them & let the computer decide whether the coupons doubled or not.

      • Hhinteriors

I have seen coupons as you describe. The cashier always doubles them nonetheless. I shop at Kroger and Publix primarily (Georgia), and they always double the amount of the coupon. Good luck!

      • Elizabeth

It depends upon your individual store and cashier as to whether or not they will double. Our local Publix stores suppress these types of coupons so that they don't double,

      • A few weeks ago I spoke with the Asst Mgr at my Publix and not only did **she** show me a better method for organizing my coupons than what I was using (she's a coupon shopper, too!!!) but she explained that as long as the coupon scans, they'll double it. If they have to key it in, they won't double it. She also pointed out the two barcode formats on the coupon and explained that the newer barcode format will (eventually, when they get different registers that will read that barcode) keep it from doubling/tripling if it isn't supposed to. HTH.

    • Cindy Henderson

There is a new booklet out. Put clean in your cart. With the Pampers deal, you could also get $2 more off the diapers and get another $1 off the already free wipes, plus buy one more thing off their list and get a free roll of Bounty paper towels. Now that sounds better to me.

    • Zstforlife

If your Publix accepts Whole Foods as a competitor, use their $1/1 store Q layered with your manufacture Q. for Ben &Jerrys.

      • oneplustwins

Where are you finding the ben and jerrys coupons for whole foods…nothing on their coupon website that I can find…would love it, though!

        • sam

My Whole Foods had them in The Whole Deal booklets in store.

    • 3monkeysmom

Wasn't sure where to post this. Good deal on Sunny Delight and Peter Pan peanut butter at Piggly Wiggly ( I'm in central AL and get the Warrior ad). They double coupons up to 99 cents ;-)
Sunny Delight 64 oz is 79 cents, there is a 25 cent newspaper coupon ( i clip, so I don't know the date or insert), 29 cents after doubling :-)
Peter Pan peanut butter 16.3 oz is 2/$3, newspaper coupon for 60 cents, so 30 cents after doubling ;-)

    • Pilotswife23

Haven't read all the comments, so I'm not sure if anyone has posted – There is a .50 off target coupon for campbell's select that can be paired with your manf. coupon. (it expires Sat/28th – so use quickly!) Also Dixie Crystal sugar is on sale this week (Thomasville Publix)and there is a .50 cent coupon on dixiecrystals.com!

      • Kermnelmo

Thanks !!! I was able to print them both, twice !!! :o)

    • Lori

I live in Jacksonville, FL. Yesterday, I purchased the BOGO Dole fruit cups and used the $1 Target coupon. The friendly cashier saw it and set it aside for last. When he rang it up, it showed up as “competitior coupon” and it rang up $2. I didn't notice it until I looked at my receipt later. Was this an error or has anyone else in Florida noticed it too? It would be nice since we don't get the half-price BOGOS!

      • Natalie559

My publix in tallahassee will take 2 target coupons for 2 like items, but they would not give me double credit for 1 coupon.

      • Jehs1982

Sometimes the cashiers will add up in their head how many dollars the competitor coupons are and enter that one time instead of typing in $1 two times they will enter in $2 once – perhaps that is what happened? They do not double competitor coupons.

    • Crystal

Do you guys know if coupons have to be in color or if I can print them in black and white?

      • JIM

I always use black and white and it works fine. I have only felt the need a couple of times to say that I only have black ink to the cashier, but they never ask me about it. Each coupon has it's own code so you could point that out if you have too!

        • Crystal

          Thanks so much!

        • Krystalkoupons

Make sure you are printing in fast draft…it uses less ink.

          • Jenn

            What is fast draft??

      • nadineb

I print all of mine in black and white and I havn't had a problem at any of the stores

      • itismedia

Black and white is fine. The two most important things are 1. they can read the barcode and 2. the watermark is present (the watermark wont copy so they can tell if it is a copy)

    • QponNerd

Someone may have said this but the Orville Redenbacher Q in the AJC was in the RP #1 8/1.

    • Cindy

Was in my N Fort Myers, FL Publix yesterday and they were setting displays for the new ad (ours starts on Thursdays). They had tear pads of coupons for Miracle Whip/Kraft Mayo $1.50 off 1, Ritz (and some other Nabisco crackers) $1 off 1. For a couple weeks there have been tear pads with coupons for Free box of Ice Cream Shoppe Pop Tarts when you purchase 2 Kelloggs cereals. BOGO cereal, use coupons, buy Pop Tarts use coupon = great deal :-)

    • Natalie559

I grabbed some Morning Star booklets that say 'tailgating made better' $10 worth of savings at the kiosk a few weeks ago. Has some $1 off 1 and $2 off 2 coupons. Also in the booklet is an order form for a free cookbook with 3 upcs.

    • Jmaddox79

Does Publix take expired coupons? I only ask cause in the list above there is Ego waffles where the coupon SS 6/20 is referenced with (exp 8/15) and I'm new to Publix. Thanks!

      • Natalie559

In my experience no they will not take an exp man coupon, probably just a mistake that it was listed. Some will take an expired publix coupon though.

        • Jmaddox79

          ok, thanks for the info!

      • Jessie

The Eggo deal is an Advantage Flyer deal, so it started on 8/7….

      • itismedia

My Publix is awesome and takes almost anything, but they do not accept expired coupons.

    • Eae1959

I was just in my Publix, bought select harvest soup one can used 1.00 cpn…..they charged me the full price of $2.39 not half…..spoke to manager and they do not charge half the price on the BOGO …Is this just MY Publix doing this?? Same with the salad and mayo….

      • Natalie559

You must be in Fla? Here you must buy 2, then the price of the second item is deducted.

      • Copperquilting

Where do you live? My Publix has been charging half the price on one BOGO item for at least a couple of years now.

        • Copperquilting

Copperquilting forgot to mention that I live in Lawrenceville, Ga.

    • Eae1959

Note to self: read everything before making comment……See Rules 1 and 5…………..

Can anyone help me find the Ovaltine coupon? I have been switching up the zip codes on coupons.com but I’ve never seen it. Thanks!

    • kinsi

First real attempt couponing at publix – spent 17.56, saved 42.12. 70% savings. And the stuff I bought…I'll actually eat/use :D

My cashier though didn't know the policy for competitor coupons (I had whole foods and target) and the line at the service desk was about 6 deep, so I'll try again another day/time. Even without that extra 3 dollars in saving, I'm still pretty happy :D Thanks southern savers!

    • Phyllis

Does anyone know what kind of coupons Twelve Oaks Publix in Savannah, Ga Takes?

      • Ballerinanico

I am assuming no target or rite aid will be accepted there. I went to the one in Richmond Hill and they said no target coupons b/c they are out of the 5 mile radius. The one more south side takes Target, Rite Aid, Walgreens, and CVS for sure. I did ask the other day and they said no PX coupons….even though it's within the 5 miles?

        • joanna00

The Publix in RH is more strict with it's competitors – they told me they only accept CVS, Wags, and Kroger because they are within their radius. I prefer Twelve Oaks because they take everything that Lisa mentions above.

      • itismedia

Not sure about 12 Oaks, but to add to Ballerinanico the one on Largo and Abercorn also takes Food Lion and Kroger.

      • Val

I think the Twelve Oaks takes almost everything (even ECB, RR, and Ups). There is a woman that works for the Savannah Morning News that writes articles on coupons in the Sunday newspaper. That is her favorite Publix to shop. If you google, Savannah savvy shopper it will take you to the website and you can watch her video (Right hand side) on what coupons Publix takes– and I think she specifically mentions Twelve Oaks in her presentation.

      • Lisa

They take CVS, Rite Aid, Walgreens, Piggly Wiggly, Food Lion, Kmart, Target, Kroger, and Pet Smart. This is straight from a recent interview the savvy shopper did with the store manager that was featured in the newspaper.

    • oneplustwins

Does anyone have a zip code for Kozy Shack pudding? Can't find the coupon with the link. Thx.

    • Tara C

Just incase nobody has commented on this, the Thermacare deal is actually a money maker. You have to read the Publix store coupon closely, but it says 2 bottles of advil OR any Thermacare, so you can use the $3 manufacturer's Q and the $5 store Q on 1 Thermacare item, which is priced at $6.99 in my area. I did this deal myself last night and it works.

      • Awesome!

You know, I read it that way, too . . . but didn't try it. Instead i just bought 2 of the thermacare products. I liked them, so I might try that tonight. Thanks for posting it!

      • millie

thanks for the heads up on this, i would have missed out on a deal!

      • Marlenecu

        Didn't work at my Publix!

      • sealey5

What a sweet deal! I have 10 man.q's and 10 Publix q's (That's how many papers I get every Sunday)….and I called our Publix and they are $6.99 here as well! Yay!!! :)

    • Jessie

      Two things:

I haven't seen anyone post this, but the MorningStar and Kellogg's coupons that are in the 08/01 RP are actually Target coupons, so they can be stacked for an even better deal!
Also, on the Kellogg's rebate, is it 5 of any Kellogg's product? I am going to buy the MorningStar stuff regardless, but it would be nice if they could count towards my 5 items. Thanks!

      • Jessie

The 8/1 also has a manufacturer Q for Morningstar – didn't notice that before, hope I didn't confuse anyone!

    • Laura

Has anyone else had a cashier tell them there is a limit to how many coupons for the same item you can buy? ie. buying # of the same product with # coupons. My regular publix has never given me fuss and i've bought 16 boxes of Poptarts before, but I stopped at a different one in Suwanee by my office (which I won't do again) and the girl told me I could only use so many coupons of the same item. I asked her when that policy took effect and she told me February but she would let it slide this time. Has anyone else ever heard of this!? My regular Publix in Flowery Branch GA has never said anything like that.

      • Elizabeth M.

I haven't and the Publix @ North Brown and Old Peachtree in Suwanee is where I shop.

      • Rachee17

        yes. publix in gwinnett, ga.

      • guest

Well where I work you can only use one coupon for each product unless there is a store coupon. I work at Kroger and they stopped using store coupons, but I know Publix still takes them. So, for instance if you had a manufacturer coupon, publix coupon, target coupon, and kroger coupon you could use them all on one item. However, if you had two manufacturer coupons but only had 1 item you could not use both of them, because the store would not be getting their money back from the company distributing the coupons!! Hope that helped

      • KK

My local publix limits to a maximum 6 of the the same items! Too many people were clearing the shelves!

      • cjms6599

I have run into this issue in Gwinnett Co, too. I usually shop at the Publix in Oakwood and they are wonderful and have never said anything to me about quantities. I buy in large quantities because I have 6 kids and in Gwinnett I have had cashiers question me about it. I, too, bought 16 boxes of Pop Tarts a few weeks ago and had no problem in Hall Co.

      • germangirl

Hi Laura, do you shop at the new Puplix on Spout Springs? I don't think they take all the competitor coupons. If you want to get all the savings go to the one on Fence Rd. They are absolutely awesome. They take everything. Just thought I'll let you know.

        • germangirl

Also, I buy there large quantities all the time and they are totally ok with that.

    • Janie Johnate

I have found this awesome site, although I love Southern Savers, her prices are not always right. I am told it is because she lives in another region. They have different things on sale than our local Publix (Brunswick, Georgia). Check out the website: www (dot) savvy coupon clippers (dot) com.

      Janie :)

    • Veronica

I would check with Jenny prior to directing her patrons to another site. Just my 2 cents. Veronica

    • Lisa

There is a $1.00 off coupon for Fire & Flavor.

    • Ejcronan

Okay, very new to this and I have having a hard time locating the coupons when they are on the ss and rp. What does the 8/08 or 7/18 mean? Help?

      • Robin

the ss is smart source and the rp is red plum the name of the coupon circular and 8/8 and 7/18 mean the date august 8 or july 18 and that is the date of the paper they were in hope this helps

      • Dblb5960

The SS is the coupon book Smart Source from the newspaper and RP is the Red Plum one. The date is the date that the coupon was in the paper. When you get the coupon books from the Sunday paper, you can write on the front page the date and that makes it easier to find the coupon…however, I have found that sometimes the coupon is only offered in certain areas so from time to time you might not have that coupon at all. I am still sort of new to this as well and I am still trying to fully figure it all out…I don't get the huge savings that some of my friends get. I figure I will stick with it a bit longer and see if I can improve. Hope this helps.

    • Alisha

Went to my usual Publix in Powder Springs, GA today and they had a bin of the Schick Hydro 3 razors BOGO. They were 4.50 each and I had a $5/1 from the newspaper so I got it free with overage. Some razors also had a peelie for a free shave gel when you bought the razor, but my store was out of the shave gel.

    • Mhazleton

On the Publix Coupon for Advil or ThermaCare it states “or any ThermaCare 2ct. or larger” which means you anly have to buy one ThermaCare when using this coupon. I had no problem using it when I bought one ThermaCare.

      • Harristracey

I was going to do the same thing last night but my Publix said I had to purchase 2 Thermacare products.

    • Vickie

I went to the Publix in Easley yesterday & the lady who checked me out was very rude & hateful. She kept telling me that I didn't get the products to use the coupons, but I did have them. I'd point them out to her & she'd still act like she didn't want to use them. I'm still new to all of this, but I have never seen them do anybody else this way. I was so upset with the way I was treated & talked to that I was in tears. I understand that they have a job to do, but do it respectfully. The customer service managers & store manager apologized to me for her behavior & even gave me a free coupon for free Publix ice cream. The Customer Service Manager explained that they have cusotmers scamming them & using coupons for items they are not purchasing. I thought since I worked at BI-LO & the registers would refuse the coupons if you didn't get it or if you didn't get the right quantity then all stores had went to this type of security measures, but as he explained that they do not have this & that any coupon whether you bought the item or not would scan. Doesn't make since why they wouldn't upgrade to a better scan system so customers who are trying to do right wouldn't have to be belittled & treated like dirt! Just wanted to warn everybody to make sure to double check your coupons to see if you overlooked anything by accident. Seriously doubt that I will ever go back in there again, because the way I was treated was uncalled for! Good Luck!!!!

      • Karen in FL

Vickie, That’s a shame that you were treated that way, but don’t let one rude cashier stop you from saving money. I sent in a complaint to corporate on their website when I had a problem and the store manager called me within a week. Now whenever he sees me we stop and gab. They are right, Publix register system does not have the security feature that will automatically refuse a coupon if you don’t have the right item. It’s a shame, because most all of the other stores do. So it falls on the cashiers to monitor it and make sure the item was bought. She just didn’t want to do her job. Publix really needs to upgrade their system. It would make it alot easier on their cashiers and on us customers. But, really don’t let her stop you, just don’t go to her again. Most of the cashiers are consumers too. Some of them will even ask you where you get your coupons. I tell them all about SouthernSavers.com. Anyway, Good Luck and keep on couponing!

        • Vickie in SC

Karen, Thanks for the support! I just don’t know that I’d ever feel comfortable going in that particular store again. The cashier who checked me out was a customer service team leader & she made me fell like a criminal when I was only trying to save money. I’m only human & it is possible that I could make mistakes, but she was treating me like I was intentionally trying to do something wrong. She even made the comment several times that I had too many coupons for that amount of groceries insinuating I was trying to do something wrong intentionally. I did call corporate & complain & even suggest upgrading their scan system. The lady called me right back & apologized & notified the store manager as well. He called me back within the next 20 minutes & apologized as well & said that he’d reprimand her & put it in her permanent record. I may drive a little further to Greenville or Anderson (SC)Publix to get my savings & try it there. I personally don’t think they should have an employee like her in that type of position especially if she doesn’t want to do her job! I’m not going to quit couponing because southernsavers.com has really helped me save alot of money so far!!! Southernsavers.com is GREAT & VERY HELPFUL especially since we’re a family of 5!!!

      • Beth

I had the same experience at my last shopping trip. I had to turn the tables on the cashier because I will not be treated like I'm committing a crime by using coupons. The managment must be telling the employees to give us coupon users hell. This really turned me off but I won't stop going just to make them happy.

        • Vickie

Was it the same store or another location? Just curious. I'm usually a nice person & don't take up for myself, but this time I did go to the customer service managers & complain. Plus, I complained to corporate & the store manager. I don't know if management is telling them to treat us like criminals, because I know from working at BI-LO that this type of behavior & insinuations can cause them to be sued. I won't stop shopping at Pulix. I'll just choose to shop at another one.

    • Phyllis

Sorry guys, do you need a publix's card to get the savings? Do i need to go to customer service first, before i shop? Sorry, but we don't have a publix, but will be in an area tomorrow that does? Thanks

      • Laurel

no, no special cards. only need to check customer service if you are trying to use a competitor's Q (like Target). sometimes they take the competitor Qs and sometimes not at mine.

        • Phyllis

    • Sharon

The artisanal salad coupons is a PDF and I always get nervous about those. I know Jenny would not intentionally link a “bad” coupon, but I just wanted to ask before I printed two of these. THANKS!

      • Smartblonde

It's legit. If you go to freshexpress(dot)com/artisanal you can get the $1 off coupon after completing a quiz.

        • Smartblonde

Actually it looks like you don't even have to take a quiz. When I clicked on “get coupon” it takes you right to the pdf

        • Odeuschle

I went to publix tonight and they didn't have the artisnal salads, but I bought the bogo fresh express and it took the q's for the artisanal salads anyway.

          • happymom

Well, that's why cashiers are getting so strict! Don't intentionally use a coupon that is for a different product… it makes us all look bad!

      • robin

is anyone having a ard time finding the arisinal salad at publix?

    • Laurel

anyone else have trouble finding the $1/2 Kraft Q? I can't find it anywhere.

      • They started showing up in my local stores about 2 weeks ago. (south FL)

    • Bevincasey

Will publix accept Rite Aid UP rewards? I was told publix accepts them but it seems too good to be true.

      • Smartblonde

You'll have to inquire at your own Publix. Each store is different.

    • Shaunascoupons

Hot Shot Roach & Ant Spray $2
-$1.50 on any Hot Shot® Insecticide product printable from coupons.com

    • Harristracey

I live in Cobb County & effective this week the Publix stores in Governors, Brookstone & Seven Hills have changed their Q policy. They no longer stack competitor Q with store Q. All competitor Q are now treated as store Q so you are now only able to use a MQ with a Store Q

    • Hendrixvl

Can someone please tell me the zipcode to get the Cascadian Farms coupon?

      • Kim

        Wondering the same thing…

    • spokeprint

I tried to use a target coupon, the cashier said they no longer accept competitors coupons. I told her that a few days earlier i used one with no problem, and that it scanned ok. Her response was that yes, indeed, they will scan, but the cashier will get in trouble for taking it. I tried to find their coupon policy on the website, but I cannot find it.

      • Val

I guess you used a Target manufacturer coupon, because Target store coupons will not scan. Regardless, you need to ask the store manager or the customer service desk what their coupon policy is. Every store is different.

    • WD

I live in Columbus, GA and shop at Bradley Park Drive Publix I was also told that I could not stack a competitor q, store q, and manufacturer q for one item. All competitor q's will be treated as Publix store q's so they take which ever q gives the most discount. Two weeks ago they allowed me to stack so this was very disappointing. Most of the cashiers have been keeping me in line a long time to go through my q's with a fine toothed comb, too. One cashier stated Publix was getting more strict with their coupons policy.

      • shelly

I have never been able to use a store and competitor q together. It is pretty much understood everywhere that a competitor and store q are the “same”. Neither are reimbursed. Just count yourself lucky that you were ever able to do that.

    • Mandasffb

kens steakhouse dressing is bogo, i have a coupon for bogo does this mean i should walk out w/ 4 bottles and not pay for any of them or two bottles and not pay for them…please help new and learning

      • Natalie559

I think the b1g1 coupon is for a different size than the b1g1 publix sale. But if it is for the right size you would get 2 free.

        • sealey5

I just looked at my q's for the Ken's B1G1 and it's for the 8 oz. The Publix B1G1 deal is for the 16 oz. Oh well :(

          • guest

I was bummed when I saw that today too. I have gotten a lot of free salad dressing with the kens b1g1.

    • Godlymom71

Today at Publix in Florida, I tried to purchase the Rightguard deodorant with the BIGI manufature coupon and the cashier said I could not. Has anyone tried it?

      • robin

i am in ga and i used my 3 off 2 with the b1g1 and used two .55 off coupon today at publix so i got both for free without a problem

      • 468leeann

I used one on the last Rightguard deal they has on the b1g1 and they allowed me to use the coupon. I got four for free!

      • sealey5

yep, I did. I had several B1G1 q's for the Right Guard Deodorant and got them for free! Needless to say i'll be giving away some deodorant to friends that need it, lol :)

      • couponfox

I was told I could only use 1 coupon for 3 deodorants, that they were never supposed to take BOGO coupons on BOGO items because then the items would be free. Never had this issue at Publix before, even the manager on duty said that was what they were supposed to do.

        I'm in NW Florida.

      • Beth Anne

is there a certain ZIP to use for the right guard coupon? i can't find it!

    • MerrilynJ

I went to get my FiberPlus cereal today, and on one of the boxes was a “try it free” mail-in rebate form! So not only did I get my $5 Publix gift card rebate, but 2 of the boxes will be free thanks to BOGO! I love surprises like that!

    • Misty

Any stores in the Huntsville, AL area take target coupons? I will be in the area and would like to use the produce coupon!!

      • Shannon

I have used target coupons at both locations in Huntsville (Whitesburg and Bailey Cove) and I've used them at both Madison locations (Hwy 20 and Hwy 72). I've never had any problems.

        • sealey5

This has nothing to do with q's but a few years ago I lived up on Grant in Al. and worked at the Chick-fil-a at Whitesburgh Dr.! If you know anyone that works there would you let me know? I'd love to get back in touch with some of the older people that work there (if u go there and know anyone)…..thanks :)

      • Nursejek

        the publix in merdianville does

      • MJ

The Hampton Cove and Airport & Whiteburg location has never given me any problems with Target coupons.

      • Traciemcbee

The Publix in Harvest on Hwy 53 also accepts Target coupons.

    • leeann

Was at Publix in Gainesville,FL today and there is a new P&G coupon book with $10 in coupons. They are Publix coupons and expire 9-30-10

      • Peppersuperstar

Did you find these in the front of the store? I live in Gainesville and didn't find them when I was there yesterday

        • Im in Ocala and I found it between the registers when you first walk in (if that makes sence) Hope that helps.

      • Lisanole78

Has anyone found these in the Atlanta area yet?

    • Mamastasia

Can you link me to an official coupon policy? Our store, in Kissimmee, Fl, is suddenly accepting only 1 Target coupon at a time!

      • Val

Publix managers get to decide what competitor coupons they accept, how many, etc. Target coupons do say only one coupon per offer or transaction. The manager just seems to be following the rules on the coupon.

      • aurora0081

My Publix just starting initiating this policy as well. They might have been having issues from Target being that the coupons state only one of each type per transaction. When it happened to me the cashier was nice enough to let me do 3 transactions so that I could use the coupons.

    • flower_mom

I haven't ready EVERY comment, so I don't know if someone has posted this BUT…
The coupons for the Borden cheese is for the BORDEN CHEESE SINGLES SENSATIONS, and (at least at my store) the ones on sale are the regular singles slices…Probably doesn't matter much since the adv. buy sale is almost over, just hated for anyone to print the q's and then couldn't use…Especially since it prints in the middle of the page!
      Hope this helps!

      • littlemama

This coupon will work for the Borden cheese on sale.

        • Guest

should not be used on them as its for wrong type.

        • happymom

The coupons may “work” but it's unethical to use it… please don't advise people to do so.

        • Kcrewfive

I tried to use on the reg. Borden cheese since my publix does not sell the sensations… It was a no. The Q is only for the sensations and I culd not use it for the reg.

    • jenn3

Which zip code should we use to get the Kraft cheese singles???? thanks

    • Jmaddox79

The Totino's Pizzas rang up at $1.19 at the Publix in Lovejoy Ga today for me. I'm just getting into Publix and liked my first trip today. I spent $22.02 and saved $32.57, I hope to get better though. All thanks to southern savers… this is the best website ever!!! And thanks to my sister too for telling me about it… lol

    • christal

I am having problems with the coupon policy at my local Publix on East Atlanta Road in Stockbridge. It seems, that each time I go in, they are changing who they consider their competitor. Even though Target is only seven miles down the road, they are not a competitor; therefore, they will not take their coupons. They use to take Krogers but, I could never figure out how to use their coupons since they put them on their cards. Now they don't take Krogers. The young lady explained that Food Depot is their only competitor so, they can only take their coupons. They don't have coupons. Should I call Monday morning and ask to speak to a manager to get this straight?

Also, if an item is on sale, in their flyer, and the picture shows a blister coupon on it, should they honor this when all the coupons are gone?

      • juliemars88

Go to the publix.com website and send in an email asking for clarification of their coupon policy. I got a personal phone call from a district manager! Great service (even though I wasn’t crazy about their policy in the end).

      • Juliefinnie

Try a different Publix the ones in my area have different tolerances as far as competitor coupons. All but 1 takes everything even 5 off 25 for dollar general, extra care bucks just about everything ask the manager when you go in thats what i did because I am new to couponing. Rarely Ill get a cashiers that says no and I know the managers would say yes so I just tell them to get the manager. Good luck!

        • Mitchellkramb

Thats sounds pretty lame – I have a publix like that who are complete you know whats in what they deem a competitor (keep in mind thereis a Kroger in the parking lot next door, a Rite Aid on the corner, and a CVS pharmacy IN the same parking lot. LoL. It's ridic. The manager is always so rude with such an attitude I finally just told her to get out of my face and that I'd be calling corporate. I have a friend whose father is very high up at Publix and believe me, I ALWAYS throw his name around to rude managers. Haha.

Go to a diff publix, but make sure you let your usual store know that you will be going to their competitors, who they do not consider to be competition. Be polite, but let them know!

      • Mccrited

The Publix on Hwy 20 at exit 218 takes target and Kroger coupons if this helps you any.

    • Susan_wright

I spotted peelies on Snack Factory Pretzel Crisps the other day in Cumming, GA before they were on sale and can't wait to go back and get some! I think they were for $1 off – super deal!!

In my Chattanooga store the Hormel Compleats also included the Chi Chi's Fiesta meals. On coupons dot com there was a new coupon released this week for $1/1.
      BOGO $2.49 and 2 coupons = $.25/EACH!

      • Kcrewfive

I just saw a chi chi's Q on coupons dot com and it was $1/2

    • Rebecca

I had a virus when I downloaded the coupon printer from coupons.com. If you choose the “printer only” option instead of the printer and toolbar, the virus won’t be downloaded. Hope that helps!

    • Joysaves

Love your new page design! Looks great!

    • Mamalc9949

Is anyone else having a problem with virus;s after printing some of these coupons. My computer was so full its taking days to clean it up and I had antivirus software!!!!

      • Merryjoy22

YES!!! The first day of getting into printing coupons, my computer was hijacked for 24 hours. I haven't had this problem in 7 years, as I keep my system very protected. It was a malware problem…not a virus.

    • Ada

It's very difficult to see the “create list” button, could there be more contrast so it stands out. I had trouble finding it. Otherwise, things look and worked great:)

    • Beauwolter

Saved 76.12 at publix spent only 68.78…plus got a $8 refund on Angelo Kabos which were marked 4.99 and were ringing wrong so got a bonus on this trip.

    • Dayreamer63

sure wish my publix took dollar general and other groceries coupons also they don't take 5 off 25 anymore

    • copperquilting

SS 8/29 has a 40 cent coupon for Dixie Crystal sugar 4 or 5 lb. It is on sale currently at Publix for $2.49. I just bought some without coupon but may go back with my coupon.

    • Molly

I can not find the Lipton Qs that are supposed to be in today's RP add. Anyone else have them?

      • Molly Bridges

oops! they are in the 8/1 RP … my mistake

    • Michele9775

I just started couponing in Feb. and I am making my first donation to our local homeless shelter. Thank you Jenny for making this possible. I am taking (6) toothpaste , (4)dish soap, (4)razors, (2)mustard, (4)deodorant, and other items I was able to get free and haven't put a dent in my own stock pile yet. I can't wait for my next trip!

      • Jecka7

That is such a good idea… I only have so much room for stuff in my house. I think I'm going to do the same with stuff I can get for free.

    • Jntsmith678

Publix would not take my Whole Foods and Earth Fare coupons today. Has anyone else had a problem with that?

      • Jbush27

No Publix around me takes them. Every Publix is different in who they will take as competitors.

        • Bonnie

The Publix in Valdosta GA will not take them either, No Doubles. They will accept Food Lion and Harvey's coupons.

          • Amber

Valdosta Publix will also take Winn Dixie, Target, CVS, Walgreens and Rite Aid (not wellness, though)

    • Davisrose

any where to print the PENNY coupon?

      • Jbush27

No, you have to get that days paper. I used to get the penny item when the coupon was in the Sunday paper, but I don't get the weekday papers, so it's not worth it to me to buy a paper every week just to get the penny item.

      • Jessie

I think papers are like .50 cents, so you just have to decide whether the item is worth .51 cents to you on that day. Usually it is to me – I mean, I think paying that much for toilet paper, pizza or apple juice is still a great deal!

    • Lmckettrick

Has anyone in the Gainesville, FL area been able to use the $5 off $25 Sav a Lot Q's? I know in some other areas you can use them on you total prior to presenting your manufacture & competitor q's? Any help would be great!

      • Vernac

Yes, I used the save-a-lot coupon last week at Hunters Crossing Publix. They took it without a problem.

    • connie

wow I think the format just changed back to red and blue before my eyes. I am sure after I get use to the new format it will hopefully click, but I loved the old one, I am just out of my comfort zone tonight. Ordered coupons from http://www.coupondede.com wed nite and received them sat. loved getting them clipped and just had to sort which store sale they matched with.

    • Spent $22 today and saved $139. LOVE LOVE LOVE SS!!! (and that is in the land of TRUE BOGO and NO doubles!!!) It is possible to live w/o doubles!!

      • Lorinbob

Haha…can I have your shopping list and coupon match-ups? LOL!

    • Oh yeah, I much prefer the red & blue instead of the little rectangle withthe S and M to differentiate!!! But then I am a creature of habit.

      • Nikki

I second that! I much prefer the red and blue too. I was a little slow with the S and M and took awhile to figure out what they stood for…
Thanks Jenny for all you do!

    • Danielle Sudduth

Is anyone else having a problem stacking the red box coupons? I have always done it at Publix with and without Manufacture coupons, however, yesterday the cashier would only let me use one. I argued with her and she refused to budge on it. I thought the red box coupons were actually considered store coupons.

        Does anyone know?

      • Red Box? what are those? I am assuming you mean blinkie coupons (that spit out of the black blinking machines attached to some shelves) but they are almost always manufacturer coupons. It is quite rare for them to be store. Take the time to read the coupon, as it will always state Publix or Manufacturer on it.

        • Danielle Sudduth

DeeDee yes that is what I am talking about, I thought they were the red box (our boxes here are red). I just checked on of them and it does not specify either way if it is manu or store, but I will assume that it is a manu coupon. Thanks!

          • manufacturer coupon will either begin with a #5 or a #9 always. Publix coupons mostly have a 4 digit LU# that the cashier has to type in manually.

Anyone know if the Buddig or Whiska's deals were regional or ended earlier than the rest of the sale? I went today and the Whiskas rang up $4.49 and the Buddig was $3.49 … and neither of them show up in the Carrollton, GA sales ad … in store or online. Thanks!

      • Jessie

They were Advantage Deals, and I think they ended on Friday.

I am new to the coupon thing and I am seeing sales on the list that have SS 8/8/10 and when i look in my SS these are not the same coupons. Am I doing something wrong?

      • Jmemacd

Coupons are regional so some regions won't get some coupons. It is frustrating.

      • Danielle Sudduth

I am in a suburb of Atlanta and not only do I not have the coupons in the ads sometimes, I dont even get the ad papers. Gets so frustrating to buy a newspaper and only get 1/2 of what you expect when it comes to the coupons.

    • QponNerd

I found awesomeness!! I was looking for the Mahatma rice coupon for the Kroger ad on the Printable Redplum coupon and found a Q for the Thermacare 2ct or larger for $4!!!
That would make them $.49 each!! W00t!

      • toni

If it is the coupon I saw on Redplum you have to buy Advil and Thermacare to get the $4 off.

        • QponNerd

Ack, got it, thanks for catching that.

          • Lorinbob

You can get a $3 coupon at http://www.thermacare.com
I just printed 2 of them. However, I was reading the Publix coupon as you have to buy 2 of the Advil items, but not the Thermacare items. Not sure why, it was just my first impression after reading the coupon. Do you have to buy 2? They’re still only $1.49 after both coupons though, so still a good deal. Do they work well? I have arthritis in my hands :(

            • Lisa

Nope, you only have to buy one. At least, it worked for me today. The coupon is a bit confusing, but the 2 applies to the Advil–the Thermacare just has to be at least a 2-count package.
So the Thermacare was $6.99, minus the $5 Publix cpn, minus the $3 coupon on the Thermacare website:
They paid me $1!! I love Southern Savers:)

        • Lorinbob

You can get a coupon on the Thermacare website for $3 :)

    • Lulujml

Aren't all the PG products Tide,Charmin etc on sale this week? I was going to match up with new store coupons.

      • Lorinbob

Where would I find those new store coupons?

    • Yvette Johnston

In metro-Atlanta, GA, I was allowed to use the BOGO coupons for Right Guard with the B0G0 Publix sale, but I paid 25% ($1.00) for each deoderant. Not quite as good as getting them for FREE, but still not a bad price.

    • Erinkguy

What are the prices in “(…)”????

      • moneysaved4disney

That is the price for one item if your store lets you get just 1 item for BOGOF.

    • Liz

Mahatma rice printable is not on there. I'm in Summerville, SC.

    • Joon2018

I received a catalina coupon at Food Lion for $4.00 off my next purchase of $40. Does anyone know if I can use that at Publix as a competitor coupon?

      • If it is a manufacturer coupon, then use it as such at Publix. If it is a store catalina, then use it as a competitor. We have Albertson's here and they have catalinas also. They usually print out stating Manufacturer Coupon and Publix scans them thru as a regular $$ off/total purchase coupon.

    • Jessmdean

has anyone reported a Publix for a disrespectful manager? If so, what was the result of your letter?

    • Summermaldonado

Cascadian Farm coupon is only 1 coupon per person… :(

HELP…..Still trying to get the hang of BOGO q's. I'm in FL, so we have true BOGO, on the Right guard that is BOGO, can I buy 6 and use 3 BOGO q's and one man q for $1.50/2 and one $1/1, that will be making $2.50. Then buy 4 more BOGO and use $3/2 and $1.50/2 and make .41.? So total overage would be $2.91. Hope this makes sence, took me a while to try to figure this out, just want to make sure if this is the way it works or not.

    • I have looked through all my SS 8/01 to find the Orville R. popcorn coup and there isn't one. It should be taken off the list.

      • Dwiegand84

it could be regional so not everyone will have it.

No—just buy 6, use 3 bogo's, and they are all free. If you have 5 coupons, you get 10 free. The store is giving you one free, the coupon gives you the other one. You don'tneed any $ off coupons.

        • tammyinfl

I tried using the bogo q's and they would not let me use them, said since it was already bogo, i couldn't use the q's. They only let me use the money off ones, bummer. I'm going to call tomorrow and ask the store manager just to see for sure.

      • If you are trying for overage, then yes you can get 6 deodorant and use 3 BOGO Q's (making them all free) and still use a $1/2 and a $1/1 on the other 3 that you normally would be paying for. One coupon per item. Some stores will allow it and others will not. YMMV.

Here is my weekly shopping list
Royal Brie round French bread melon 5 Original Orange juice canned french beans Greenwise milk Irish kerrigold butter 7 Hungry man meal salisbury steaks no cakes canned apricots casnned peaches no cookies no wines total cost 90 to 110 dollars. There are no coupons for REAL food if you need to save it seems to me you spend the difference on medical bills to sort out the Guar Gum in all the icecream products etc.

      Please give us a break.
