Here are all the deals that start today 3/04 at Publix (or Thursday 3/05 in some areas). It is a slower Publix week but there are a few good deals like free cereal. Let me know if you see something I missed or find a deal in the store. A new Advantage Buy yellow flyer comes out on the 7th. I will get those deals up by Sunday. There is also a new Green Advantage Buy flyer nothing really great jumped out at me but please share if you saw something.

New Food Lion Printable coupons are up.  Get $1/2 Pepsi 2 liters, $1 off Caprisun, $1 off Hi C and others… Don’t forget that you can use a competitor coupon for house brand items on Publix house brands.

  2. If you do buy 2 items that are B1G1 make sure you use 2 coupons to get the best deal
  3. Publix accepts competitors coupons (you can stack with a manufacturers coupon and a Publix coupon too)

    • Jess

Awesome! Thanks! I think I’m excited because of the Monster drinks. My husband drinks one every day.

Are there any coupons for CVS (or whatever) that I can print and use at Publix? Something like a $5 off whatever?

    • amy

Jess…my publix at Snowhill told me that they will only honor grocery store coupons. excluding pharmacy stores and walmart and target and ta…BUT you never know for sure till you ask at your store =)

    • amy

when i went and registered for the cakesters…(i really wanted this coupon) the web site said there were no promotions at this time…was that just for me??

    • Annette

It looks like the link to the coupon policy for Publix was left off, can you direct me to it? I had trouble at our Publix yesterday. They did not want to take more than two coupons for one Tide. I had a Mnfr, a Store and a Competitor coupon. They finally pushed the last one through because I went in during a busy time in the evening and I think they wanted to get rid of me! I talked to the manager on the way out and he asked where the policy was about the use of 3 coupons for one item. The register beeped after two. Thanks!!!

    • Jenny

There is the ongoing $5 off $25 Rite Aid coupon if your store takes those. It is at the top of the Rite Aid post this week.

    • Beth

I’m so glad to see that Publix milk is even cheaper than last week — hope that trend is here to stay!

    • Melanie

      Hi Jenny,

Where can I find the All Well and Good booklet at Publix?

    • marcey

Am I overlooking this weeks BiLo deals?
      I’m only seeing last weeks.

    • marcey

Melanie I found them over in the organic section where the Muir Glen products are. I couldn’t find the Simple Ways To Save flyer which is supposed to be around the pharm or personal care items.

    • Shannon N.

-.75/3 Idahoan Potatoes printable … this expired 2/28/09

    • Lynn

      Hey there,

I had trouble at Publix using the $5 off $25 or more yesterday, but they let me use it because I told them the day before I had one for $5 off $20. The front desk person wanted to argue with me, but in the end I won. My total bill was $67 and I walked away paying only $14.

Thanks Jenny, can’t wait to meet you in Charleston at Cathedral of Praise in May!

    • amy

My friend and I are having trouble printing the hellmans coupon. We signed up and answered the questions and everything. Anyone else having trouble or any suggestions?

    • crystal

Nature’s Own printable says “no longer available.”
Gain printable is a coupon they mail to you.

    • Heather

I am also having trouble printing the Hellmans coupon after signing up.

    • Kristie

I am having trouble with the Hellmans, Nature’s Own and Cakesters too!

    • Lana

My techie hubby said that Hellman’s has a problem with their site and it can’t be printed unless they fix the problem on their side. We can do nothing to make the coupon print. I wanted it too but it won’t work. You might check the site in a few days and see if they fixed the problem.

    • To jump on the bandwagon… :) I am having trouble printing out the Kraft Mac & Cheese coupon. Any tips?

    • Amy

I found the Ken’s coupon, but it expired 2/28/09.

    • Michelle

Yes, I’m having problems with the Hellman’s coupon too…very disappointed about that one! Also, the Pillsbury frozen biscuits coupon says no doubling so it would be $2 after coupon, right?

    • Becca

Michelle, My publix system doubles whether it says you can or not…..so I use them all the time and BAM doubled!!!

    • jennifer

I printed a ocean spray coupon last week at coupon bar. It’s not there anymore but just wanted to remind anyone who might had printed it that it’s very useful now!

    • Clay

Just got back from Publix on my lunch break. A couple things I noticed that were not mentioned above. Progresso soup is BOGO free in store special. Not really any cheaper than it was last week at $1.25 but a second chance if you missed it. The other in store special I saw was on Lunchables. I think they were either 3 or 4 for $5 but I don’t remember for sure. I just noticed then when I was getting cheese. Also, last week there was a $1.00 off Mentos gum coupon in the paper and Publix has it on sale for $.99.

    • Jenny

For the Pillsbury Frozen rolls any coupon bar code that starts with a 5 will automatically double no matter what the coupon says :)

I think I updated all the coupons that were not working above. We went out for the morning and came home to a full inbox!

    • christina

      Hey Jenny,

I think we should all step back and say thank you for all that you do. I think sometimes we expect a little too much and probably don’t say thank you enough…So THANK YOU for saving my family’s budget!

    • Julie

About the Mentos gum, which is priced at .99, my Publix wouldn’t take the $1 coupon since it was more than the purchase price. Is this the normal policy?

    • Melanie

You are so right! I have only been doing this 2 weeks and I have already saved over $200. So THANK YOU, JENNY!! You are awesome!

    • Elizabeth Whitehill

Just wanted to say Thank You!

You make my life and my family’s life better!

    • joy

I was able to print the Hellmann’s coupons 2x without any problems.

    • Hey Jenny I stopped into Publix tonight and Columbia and found out that Publix just changed their coupon policy and will only take other grocery store coupons now. I tried using some Target coupons and they wouldn’t take them. Just a heads up!

    • Thank you JENNY!!!!! You rock!!

    • A saver

Heard that publix is no longer taking the $5.00 off Rite Aid – reason they are losing money and coming up with a corporate coupon policy.

    • Brooke

I found a coupon at tear pad at Walgreens (I think) last month for $1 off the purchase of any 3 Coca-Cola multi-pack bottles. This should go with the buy 2 get 1 free Coca-Cola deal this week.

    • Corysmurf

I also was able to print the Hellmann’s coupon twice with no problems. Maybe they have it fixed now.

Should I expect problems using the $1/1 coupons for Mentos gum if it’s priced at $0.99? Is it YMMV or is this covered in a store coupon policy?

Thanks Jenny, for all you do to help us save money! Your site rocks!!

    • Helen

Hello Jenny, is it me but I cant seem to find the Breyers coupon in my insert. Thanks for all you do!

    • Jen

Does Publix accept Walgreens RR’s? I think that I remember reading that but it almost seems too good to be true.

    • Jenny

They do accept RR, because they are actually manufacturer coupons Publix can actually get reimbursed for them!

    • Amanda

      Hey Jenny-
Thanks so much for doing this. Your site is the first one I check on my Google Reader!

      Thanks again!

    • Gabby

I tried printing the Hellman’s coupon yesterday but it never went to a print screen (just stuck on the print now button). However, today I tried and it did let me me print 1 but not two. Sad. Well, at least I got one.

    • Shannon N.

FYI, one of my publix stores (in Tallahassee)had L’Oreal and Clairol hair color on clearance. I bought 8 boxes! I used 6 coupons from the simple ways to save flyer (they restocked these today!) Used coupons from some of the more recent inserts and voila! So check those clearance racks!!!

      2 for $11.99
      2 for $6.99
      2 for $7.99
      2 for $12.60
      = $39.57 before Qs
-$6.00 worth of Simple Ways to Save Coupons (can’t use on Perfect 10 product)
      -$5.00 rite aid $5 off $25
      -$5.00 MFR for Perfect 10
      -$5.00 MFR on Perfect 10
      -$2.00 MFR on any Clairol
      -$2.00 MFR on any Clairol
      -$2.00 MFR on l’oreal
      -$2.00 MFR on l’oreal
      -$3.00 MFR on clairol natural
      -$3.00 MFR on clairol natural
      grand total = $4.57!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’m gonna have pretty hair :-)

    • Julie

I wish I would have read Amanda’s comments before going shopping. My Publix (Ballentine in Colulmbia) has always taken Target coupons, but wouldn’t today. When I asked the manager about this she said she just received an email that they are no longer allowed to accept those as competitor coupons. Anybody go them to work at a different publix this week or is this a new corporate policy?
I will be so bummed if they don’t take them anymore:(

    • Shannon N.

I used the $5 off $25 rite aid coupon today and no issues.

    • Edie

.75/3 Idahoan potatoes expired on 2/28/09. The cashier gave it back to me :-(

    • Jenny

Edie, you can try seeing if the prints have been reset. I know they are still offering the coupon on their site so see if you can get another one.

    • Melissa

Wanted to tell you I did the Pork Deal today.

      Pork Chops $1.79lb = $3.45 (almost 2lb, about 7 chops)
      Kingsford 18lb. = $9.59
      Vlasic Peppers = $1.50
      Subtotal: $14.54
      – $6.00 Pork Q
      – $3.00 Kingsford Charcoal Food Lion Q
      Total: $5.54

I was getting a few other things anyway, so when I added this deal to that, it took my pre-coupon amount to up over $25.00 so I was able to use the $5/$25 Rite Aid coupon.
So in my accountings, I really got this deal for like $.54!

    • Lana

I switched stores this week to the east side Spartanburg SC store and had a much beter experience than last week at the Duncan SC store. They did take the Mentos gum Q and I got 8 free. I asked about Target coupons and the cashier said they do take them.

    • Edie

I printed the Qs for Idahoan potatoes this afternoon, and it still showed 2/28/09.

    • Aymie

Wanted to say that Publix has their shredded cheese on sale 2 for $4 and there is a Target coupon for $1 off two store brand cheeses, making it 2 for $3.

    • Aymie

Also, Publix has Gain detergent on sale $4.99, Family Dollar has $1 off coupon.

    • Aymie

You can get the all well and good booklet in front of the store near the weekly ads and such…

    • Jenny

Oh, sorry then for assuming that you had printed them earlier :(

    • Sharon

Jenny, Thank you for all you do!!!!!!!!!! This is the best site!!!!

    • Nikki

I am unsure of the wording on the $6 off pork coupon. When it says “only one coupon per purchase on specified product” does that mean that you can only do this deal once per transaction, or could I do it multiple times with multiple coupons? (There doesn’t seem to be a limit on how many times you can print this one)
      Thanks for all you do!

    • Jenny

One coupon per purchase is really one coupon per item, so you can use more than one in the same transaction.

    • Aymie

This will be the first time using multiple coupons for me today… What if my cashier doesnt take them all? Do I say “Your manager said I could”? I dont want to be the lady that holds up the line but I also dont want to miss out on saving…

    • Jenny

Just be bold and know your policy and you are set. Don’t worry about being the lady who holds up the line. If you are doing your coupons right the person behind you should be in awe and wanting to learn all your secrets!!

    • Sharon

ON the subject of holding up the line, when I have alot, which I normally do with a family of 6, If the person behind me has there items up on the belt or I see something in there cart I will normally pick out a coupon or two for there items and give it to them. This elderly couple had halls cough drops the other day and I gave them a B1G1F coupon I had for halls, they were very thankful and asked about how much I save each week. Broke the ice of them waiting behind me and also helped them also….Just for thought

    • Shannon

Does anyone in the Atlanta area use the Food Lion coupons at Publix? I was questioned for the 1st time yesterday and was just wondering what others experiences have been.

    • Aymie

I like the idea of giving them a coupon or two for them waiting… Good gesture!

    • Jeannie

I live in Gainesville which is North of you, but we have three Food Lions here- Harvey’s Supermarkets are also partnered with Food Lion (don’t know if those are in ATL, but Food Lion is around ATL- ) I have never had any problems with Publix accepting those. I also sign up with the small local grocery stores and get their mailers and use the coupons at Publix (we have J & J and Ingles– Ingles not many q’s, but every once in a while, but the locally owned grocery stores do and this helps at Publix.)
Tell them not to push you too far North to do your shopping!

    • paige

Just got back from publix spent $8.63
saved $46.57!!! Thanks jenny!! Also I used the $1 off deritos for the Lil bags in the deli I had a lot of the because I thought they were bogo this week but that was last week oh well still free with overage.
Oh ya I broke down and bought a sub :( that was most of my total.

    • Lisa

another advantage buy is … MENTOS GUM $1 — use this past weeks coupon insert for $1.00 off = FREE !!!

    • I love Sharon’s suggestion about sharing coupons. I often do this as well. It’s a great way to make someone smile. If you have a blog you could slip them a business card with the coupon (I’m just not that good at self-promotion.)

    • Whitney

I haven’t read every post, so someone may have mentioned this, but if you were unable to print the $2/2 for the cakesters, here is a $1/2 for the 100 calorie packs. I think they are included in the B1G1

    • jennifer

Hi guys! Pillsbury refrigerated cookie dough is 2 for $5 at Publix, SS has a coupon for $1/2.

    • Aymie

Ok, so this was my first time using coupons for every item… I saved a lot, however not nearly as I thought I would…
I used 2 coupons for each BOGO. I also used the $1.00 off Doritos and I got a small bag which costed .75 so I had .25 overage. Grand total was $42.01. With my coupons I paid $27.36. Not bad but what did I do wrong???

    • amy

does anyone know what happened to the penny coupon.
      am i missing it?

    • Jenny

It comes out in tomorrow’s paper. I’ll post what the item is first thing in the morning.

    • Mari

I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to you. I just found your site, and although I am not ‘new’ to couponing I am new to saving major bux with it. I would like to say a special thank you to you for all that you do.. it is truly amazing.

    • Karen

Both of my Publix stores in Columbia has never accepted Target coupons. They told me they are not a competitor because they aren’t a grocery store.

    • Aymie

If you have a Super Target nearby they should honor the coupon because that’s considered a grocery store…

    • Whitney

I can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong with the Banana nut Cheerios. I keep calculating that they are .25 instead of free.
      3.99 B1G1 = 1.99ea. Take off $1 FL and .75 manu = .24???? Am I missing a coupon?

    • Aymie

Cheerios at my store rang up $4.29…

    • Aymie

Also, remember you have two items… Use 2 coupons per item… But the coupon I think you’re talking about is the .75 one… that doesnt apply to banana nut… Thats for frosted cheerios cant be used for this one…

    • Jeannie

There’s .50/1 manu in the SS for banana nut. Doubled it’s $1 so combined with the FLIP it makes it free.(If your stoe has them for 3.99 B1G1).

    • amanda

Where is the “simple ways to save” flyer for the toothbrush?

    • Amanda

Does anyone know if the kids Suave shampoos are included in the 1.50 items?

    • Jeannie

The Simple Ways to Save Booklet is a P&G product booklet that was in some Publix stores near the pharmacy.
Jenny put a picture of it on here last month. I think this is the link for a peek at what it looks like.

    • Hallie

Just a heads up: The Publix in Lexington (off of Sunset Drive) has posted a notice on all of the registers stating they will not accept competitors’ coupons from any stores other than grocery stores beginning March 14. I hate to loose the Target coupons, but thankfully Publix will still accept Food Lion coupons.

    • Shon

I’m also in Tallahassee. Which Publix accepted the Rite Aid coupon and do you know whether they would accept the Rite Aid $5 off $25 along with the $5 off $30 coupon they sent in the mail. Its great to see someone else from my area here; you must be the one who’s taking all of the “Free” & “Profit” items from Walgreens. ;-)

    • Helen

Hi Jenny, just looking for your personal opinio. I have to buy about 10 Gerber 2nd foods (meats), they go fo 99 cents at publix. I know food lion has 1 buck off ANY gerber baby food. Do you think I should 10 of those and publix will accept them. Helen

    • Betty

That coupon for the free pork with the purchase of Kingsford charcoal? On the charcoal bag is a sticky coupon for $3 any Publix meat when you purchase the charcoal. So, I got the free pork, free chicken, the discounted charcoal, and a free Wishbone dressing out of it. Thanks.

    • Jenny

Helen – because the coupons say “Print One” most Publix stores will only accept one of each coupon per transaction. You could do multiple transactions but that can be a lot of work for 10 baby foods.

    • Helen

true about the baby food. Just so you know you helped me save over 50% this last week alone just at publix on groceries. Thank you, Helen.

    • Teneshia

Thank you so much for this website. It is such a valuable resource I feel compelled to check it EVERYDAY!!!

I do have a newbie question, though. Does there need to be a Food Lion near me for them to take a Food Lion coupon?

      Thank you again!

    • noelle

Hi, Jenny (or whoever knows the answer:-) Could you clarify once and for all if Publix takes the Walgreens Register Receipts? And if so, is there a place on their website that spells this out? My Publix is rather picky–doesn’t take Target, CVS, etc.

Thanks so much! Love your site!

    • Noelle, I can answer your question for you regarding the RR. Yes, they do take them. They will even scan without having to do anything. They are a MQ (manufacturer coupon) and it states it on the top of the receipt. :) Hope that helps. :)

    • Tina

Does anyone know today’s penny item??

    • Karen

Look for peelies on the Kellogg’s cereal that make it BOGO.

    • Karen

I was talking with the stock person for about the Cheerio’s Banana flavor to see if they had more in the back since they were sold out. He mentioned that this had been an extremely popular flavor and even the “rep” was shocked at how quickly Publix was selling through it versus other stores…obviously they are not aware the it is FREE…hahaha

    • Vered

I just found this website and I am so excited. Since I never before printed coupons I have a question: once I printed a few, can I just copy it or do I need to print it directly from the website?

    • Chrissy

I was talking with the cashier yeseterday @ our Publix. He said that they are only allowed to take one competitor coupon per transaction. They are also having a meeting about coupons this Saturday. He said they are also having issues with fraudalent coupons. He also said that coupon use was up from 25% customer use to almost 75%. I don’t know if he was guessing, or that is a figure that was given to them by management. I’m hoping that nothing changes.

    • Michelle

Does anyone know if the FL Cheerios coupon works on any other flavor besides Banana Nut? I have a few manf. coupons for other flavors and wondered if the FL coupon would work on those.

    • Whitney

Thanks! Actually, the .75 coupon did work with the Banana Nut, but I should have used the .50 one b/c it would have been doubled! Thats where I messed up. Oh well, still learning….

    • Ashley

I tried to use a Food Lion Brand Coupon for FL brand soft drinks on the Publix brand soft drinks and was denied. This was in Spartanburg, SC. I used the same coupon last week at the same store with no problem. The customer service manager told me they weren’t allowed to take them as they were Publix brand and they shouldn’t have done this earlier. Has anyone else heard anything like this?

    • Marie

You cannot use three coupons per item, as the blog owner has posted on some items (ie; Renuzit Tri Scents Starter Kit $5.99
Buy Starter Kit get refill FREE store coupon in Yellow Advantage Buy Flyer (exp 3/07)
-$4 off Tri Scents Starter Kit RP 2/22
-$1 off any Renuzit air product Target printable
(Buy Starter and Refill, use 1 store, 1 manuf and 1 competitor get both products for .99¢)

Publix ONLY allows 2 coupons per item. Those two coupons are 1 manufacturer coupon and 1 store coupon. A “competitors” coupon falls within the “Store” category.

Please don’t go into your Publix trying to PUSH 3 coupons or they’ll end up not accepting any coupons!

**Jenny here: Many stores do accept all three coupons together. You check with your store to see there policy. The stores get fully reimbursed for both their store coupon and the manufacturer coupon, so whether you stack a competitor too or use it unstacked they are out only the value of the competitor coupon**

    • Shannon in ATL

Maybe I’m not understanding correctly but with Marie’s example of the Renuzit… the Yellow advantage copupon would be attached to the refill and the $4 off Manuf. and $1 off Target are attached to the Starter Kit so you really are not attaching 3 to one item….am I wrong?

BTW…Thnx Jenny for all you do!

    • Whitney

I’ve used 3 coupons at Publix for one item before with no problem. I think it just depends on your store…

    • saver

I was told by a cashier that in our local store there is a customer that keeps going in to see manager and calling and has caused them to take notice -so much for being under the radar – no longer taking walgreens, cvs, rite aid, target coupons, only winn dixie, food loin, etc. and are supposed to be posting in all stores the new policy.
They are even auditing some of the customers to make sure q’s match items, etc. -taking notice and time to see what coupon users are doing to save…

    • Samantha

On the cheerios deal – the Banana Nut Cheerios aren’t free where I live in Tallahassee. The regular price of cheerios (all varieties) was $4.29 today, not $3.99 as listed above. Plus, here in Florida we can’t double the 50 cent coupon. But, I still got two boxes for $1.10 a piece which is pretty good as far as I’m concerned.

    • Samantha

Oh – I should mention I bought one banana nut and one regular cheerios so only one FL coupon. If I’d have used two I guess it would have made them 60 cents each. Oh well – needed regular cheerios for the kiddo!

    • Yes! I had trouble using the FL soda/chips coupons to get store brand items at Publix. The Harbison store did it, then the downtown location would not. They had an email from corporate taped to the register reminding cashiers not to take competitors coupons on generic products, or from non-grocery stores.
But, I brought the FL $3 off deli chicken coupon to customer service at the downtown Publix, and they said they’d honor it….
I’m confused, but still going to Publix. I’ll just keep trying….

    • April

I want to say thank you for your website. My sister-in-law and I love it and have found many great bargains. Today, I went to Publix in Georgia to get a few good deals. I wanted to get the Alavert that was advertised for $6.99 and use 2 coupons: one for $4.00 in the Green Advantage Buy booklet and one for $2.00 that was a manufacturers coupon. This item is one that I had to get from the pharmacy because they keep behind the counter. This is a store that I am a regular costumer at, and I was told that I could only use one coupon per item. I did not argue because I am there so often and it was not an something that I needed. However, I had just completed a separate transaction 5 minutes before at a regular register and used 2 coupons for another item. I believe it all depends on the stores policy and/or who you have helping you. Thank you again for all your advice.
