I was just going to say the same thing lynn said. Here in Columbia they are 1.99 (50% off) and with coupon 99 cents! I love these things.

    • Victoria

My Ronzoni Pasta coupon requires you to buy 2 packages, so it becomes 75 cents each, not a quarter. Am I wrong?

    • Victoria

My inserts also did not have the $1 off Mentos gum – just 2 55 cents coupons. It really confuses me when the inserts are different. Is it regional or does it depend on which paper you get? I am fairly new to couponing, so I still have A LOT to learn. Thanks for all the info and inspiration you provide!!

    • Bella

Hi Jenny, how do you use Angel Soft coupon to buy Quilted Northern?

Also, does anyone know if the OOltewah, TN Publix takes Rite-Aid $5 off $25 coupons? Thanks so much.

      • Jenny

The angel soft is also part of the sale for 6 double roll size, it is both Quilted Northern and Angel Soft for that size.

    • Elena

(note: cheaper to get 18 rolls of Quilted Northern buy .07 cents)

I didnt understand that to well how do you get them for 7 cents?? Sorry to be bothering today for some reason, but I just can’t get enough of your site!!!!!

    • Ooltewah Publix would not allow me to use the Rite Aid coupon last week.

    • The Chinet Napkins and Daisy Sour Cream Advantage buy tags are still up at my stores.

    • Sunny

Can you use Food Lion Coupons at Harveys? Our Harveys carries tons of Food Lion Products. (Thomasville, GA)

Also, if you are doing a bogo and you have a coupon for each item and then you have a coupon for $/2 can you use all three coupons? (At Publix)

I’m just starting so i have a lot to learn.

      • Jenny

So far Harvey’s doesn’t let you use Food Lion coupons even if it is for a brand they carry they won’t take them. sorry :(

    • Mina

Elena- I think you misread the post. Jenny wasn’t saying that you can buy (purchase) the 18 roll pack for 7 cents; she was saying that the overall cost of purchasing the toilet paper in the 18 packs was 7 cents less than buying it in 6 double roll packs.

    • Meredith

FYI–Lee Branch Publix in Bham is not accepting Food Lion coupons anymore. Also, they would not allow me to use more than one Wal-greens register reward coupon. Manager said one per order. Oh Well, it was good while it lasted.

    • Mina

Victoria – the ads are regional, but they also vary by the individual newspaper circulation numbers. Generally, the more readers in an area, the more coupons the area will get. I think areas like ours where several stores double them up to 50 cents usually wind up with more 55 cent Q’s. Jenny had posted a preview of the Pittsburgh ads that came out this past Sunday at: http://www.southernsavers.com/2009/05/510-coupon-insert-preview/

I put a reply at the bottom that shows the SS coupons that were actually in The State newspaper. They were very different. I also have the ads from the Charlotte newspaper. That paper seems to have the best from both inserts.

Also, if you go to SmartSource.com and RedPlum.com, you will find that you can print out many of the coupons that were not in your local insert.

    • Bella

I believe the dollar mentos coupons came out a couple months ago. I did get them then. The new ones that came out last couple weeks are only 55 cents, where I am in TN. You are doing great, it will all be clear soon. If you have a place that doubles that 55 cents, it would be almost free.

    • Kristina from Kennesaw, GA

The $1 off Mento’s coupons I had expired a couple of weeks ago. The latest ones are for $.55 off unless it’s regional and somewhere else got $1q’s. Hope this helps!

    • Sunny

One more “newbie” question… When using the $1/5 and $2/10 beef food lion coupon – do you have to buy $15 or can you just buy $10 to get the total of $3 dollars?

    • Alison V.

Bella and Darleen, publix manager at E Brainerd/Ooltewah loc is Dennis, very nice! If you wonder about misinfo, ask for him. Also, Hixson loc seems to get better coupons around the store, according to my cousin. They had a rebate on michelob ultra that other store did not.

    • Alison V.

      Dole Canned Pineapple 8oz .75¢
-$1/3 Dole Canned Fruit SS 3/29 (makes it .42¢ ea)

Good Housekeeping from May (p 34) has coupon for $.50 off one can dole fruit, and it doesn’t say that it can’t be doubled! That’s an overage of $.25!

    • Beth

Target has a $1/2 coupon for the Kool Aid making it the same price as Kroger!

    • Emily

Just FYI… My Publix in McCalla, AL told me last night that they are no longer accepting competitor coupons for individual products, like the ones from Food Lion. The cashier told me they would still take the Rite Aid or Winn Dixie $5 off $25, etc., but not one for a particular product like the $1 off Jello Pudding I tried to use yesterday.

    • Amanda

My Publix told me yesterday that they would take any competitor coupon, as long as it was from another grocery store. I have noticed that they consider Target a grocery store, even though we don’t have a SuperTarget in Murfreesboro.

    • KATIE

If anyone could answer this for me, then I would appreciate it. If I have a coupon for B1G1, then can I use a $$ off coupon for the 2nd item?

    • Julie

I just shopped at the McCalla Publix yesterday as well, and the cashier told me that they would accept any “traditional” grocery store coupons, but are no longer taking Rite Aid, Target, etc. They didn’t take my Rite Aid $5 off $25, but took several Food lion Q’s for products. I wish they would decide on a policy, train the cashiers on it, and stick with it! I’ve had better luck at the Hoover Publix with my Q’s lately.

    • Amy

For the Yellow Advantage deals…Does the BOGO deal for hot dogs work on the all beef or just the original? I have not been to Publix yet this week.

    • Brandy

      Emily and Julie…

The Publix in Trussville on Deerfoot, told me on Thurs. night they still took the rite aid q, but on Mon. told me they didn’t. It’s a little frustrating and nerve wracking when I get in the line not knowing which q’s I can use. I’m like y’all, I wish everyone was on the same page one way or the other.

    • lynn

my publix told me wgen i use coupons the picture on the coupon had o match the product exactly or they wont take my coupon i get alot of coupons such as kelloggs that say 1.00 off any kelloggs and it might have a picture of only one on it and thats the one they say you get?

    • lynn

katie the answere to your question is yes you have bogo coupon you can use another coupon for the one you are paying full price for happy couponing

    • Katie

Thank you so much for taking the time to answer B1G1 and $$/1 stacking question! I would like to ask one more of the group though…
Could I buy 2 items and use (1) $$/2 coupon and then stack that with(1) $$/1 coupon?
There is 2 items and 2 coupons, but I didn’t know if this is a legal scenario. I had some trouble at Publix the other night when I tried to stack some of my coupons and I do not want to go through that sort of embarrassment again, so any light that you could shed on this would be so greatly appreciated!

      • Jenny

If you have a $1/2 off coupon then that is the manufacturer coupon for both items and you can’t use a $/1 coupon too unless you buy 3 items. Sorry.

    • Melissa

My husband works for publix so I know for a fact that it is corporate policy to accept competitor coupons so if any cashier tells you that they won’t accept it – ask to speak to a manager or even the team leader. Managers there are more than happy to help fix a problem like that. Usually these problems just arise from the cashier being poorly informed. The same thing goes for them telling you that you have to get the item pictured on the coupon when it says “any kelloggs cereal” etc. As for target and rite aid coupons not being accepted anymore, publix pharmacy accepts rite aid competitor coupons all of the time so if the pharmacy can accept it than why not the grocery store?

    • Robin

It doesn’t make good sense why Harvey’s wouldn’t take Food Lion coupons to me since Food Lion bought them out and they own Harvey’s now. That’s why the stores are stocked with that brand product!

    • Lisa

can anyone tell me where to find the $1.00 off printable coca cola coupons. They were on the southern savers.com web site. I need to print them because Walgreens has a great sale going on.

    • Natalee

You guys are great! I made my very first couponing trip to our local publix yesterday (before this sale started…) and spent $59.77 in groceries and saved $54 with my coupons, their doubling up to $.50, and thei sales. I was blown away!! THANK YOU!!

    • The $.50/1 Dole pineapple printable is still up here:
this makes the dole pineapple free plus overage. :)

    • Michaelene

I just tried the pineapple printable and it said the print limit was reached. Oh well :)

    • Stephanie near Orlando

Got the $.75 canned pineapple today, but in my paper 2 weeks ago, I had coupons for $.55 off one can of Dole fruit. I bought 2 cans for total of $1.50, used 2 mfr coupons ($1.10), so 2 cans pineapple $.40, or $.20 ea. Saved just over 50% at Publix tonight, and only did a little stocking up.

    • kelly

I went to Kroger yesterday (Marietta Ga) and was informed by managment that they do accept competitor coupons now….Yea! Edys ice cream is actually cheaper there than Publix right now. Kroger Edy’s 2.37 per container less the food lion 2.00 off makes it .37 cents! Also with the 10 for $10 sale there are tons of freebies!!!! I have purchased 40 vitamin waters with the .50 cent manufacturers (that double) Makes them free!
      Happy couponing!!!!!

    • Becky

Hey, Shannon. Which Columbia Publix store has Cheesecake bites for $1.99. I went to one and they were regular price. I really would like to get some.

    • Shery

For those of you who still have the .55/1 coupon for the Mentos gum, you may want to use them at a BiLo store. BiLo had these on sale BOGO last week and the week before, so it may run through this week, too. However the advantage even if they aren’t BOGO is that they do double the .55 to make it $1.10 off per package of gum (if it’s not free, it will be nearly free).

While I am a Publix fan, I still take many of my .55 cent coupons to BiLo to use since they double–every day of the week– the coupons valued up to .60 cents.

    • Pam

Does Walgreens, Rite Aid or CVS allow you to use other store coupons?

    • brenda

For any Birmingham Publix shoppers that are experiencing a problem with their location, come on over to Hoover hwy 150 location. They are cheerful, take all legitimate coupons (competetor or internet, gro. or drug store).Work their tails off to stock and restock the shelves and smile and tell me how awesome that deal was that I just got. Also the Pharm Mgr will take any competetor prescription transfer coupon with a smile, and never acts frustraited at me for endless transfering back and forth. He understands how much it costs to provide food and meds for a family now.I have told him if the transfers stop being available then I will give his store all of my devoted business. Yes they have dollar goals and are competing for my HUGE prescription bucks. His name is Bart and he rocks! If you drop by, please tell them how much you appreciate them and be sure to let your old location know where you shop now. And use integrity, kindness and good intentions when you come to 150 cause Publix lovin couponers like me don’t want our good thing messed up.I Heart Publix!!!!!!!! I

    • Cori

Thanks for the pineapple coupon link. The one listed on the main page doesn’t work, but I was able to print two.

    • Cori

Oh, my glade B1G1 coupon is not for the aerosol but fabric and air odor eliminator. Also they list a palmolive coupon on the main site, but it is not in my insert for Greenville, SC.

    • kaye

your Yellow Advantage buy flyer is expired. Now’s the time to delete it.

    • The best information i have found exactly here. Keep going Thank you
