      • Janet

        oops–for $3.60 :)

        • When I bought the certificates there was no place to put the save promo code. How do I get to that.

          • Kim

It is on the confirmation checkout page. Thanks for the tip, that is awesome!

    • anna

18% gratuity added to pre-discounted check amount. can someone explain me what this means please?

      • Terri

They will add 18% tip to your check, then deduct your gift certificate.

For example: If your check is $100, they’ll add $18 tip to the total for $118. Then they’ll deduct your $50 gift certificate, so your total will be $68.

We usually tip 20% anyway, so it’s not a bad deal. :o)

    • Kristin

It means that they add 18% gratuity on your bill for the amount before the discount. If you have a $50 bill and use a gift card or coupon, they’re going to add 18% gratuity to the original amount of the bill ($50).

It’s basically to ensure that the server doesn’t get stiffed when you’re getting a meal for super cheap. A lot of people tip on the discounted amount when using a coupon or gift card, when they really should tip on the original amount of the meal.

    • anna

ok,that make sense now! thank you so much :)very great deals ;)

Has anyone ever used these? There’s not many restaurants on there for where I live but there’s a few I wouldn’t mind trying. The restaurants are aware of these are aren’t going to tell me that they won’t take it will they?

Also, are these $$ off of a $$ amount? Say like $10 off of $15. I’m kind of confused about that. Thanks!

      • pharmSCgirl

Ok, i understand how the coupons work now.

Are these printable or do they mail them?

How long before they expire usually?

      • Rose

I use them all the time. It’s a great deal! If you print it out you have one year from the date you purchased, or you can keep it in your computer and hope you don’t forget about it. Either way it’s one year.

        • Michaelene

We have used these several times and have had no trouble. I also keep in mind any upcoming trips we are taking to another town and get some good cheap meals that way!

          • pharmSCgirl

That’s a GREAT idea for the trips. I would have never have thought about that. Thanks to all for replying to my questions.

            • Janet

We have used them for restaurants while on vacation. Just be sure to read the fine print. Never had a problem.

    • Nicole

Ok, this is my first time ordering. So do I have to print all of my certificates off now and save them, or can I just print them as I use them?

    • Emily

I just want to warn everyone – I ordered something from Restaurant.com a few months ago. After that I started getting $19.95 charges from a company called Shopping Essentials Plus. I called the company and asked where they got my card info and they said Restaurant.com! If you buy something from them, please be sure to check your card statement carefully for a few months following. SEP said that during my checkout at Restaurant.com I was signed up for a 30 day trial period and then became an active member and they were charging a membership fee each month. Luckily I noticed it only after 2 months, I had to be really firm to get all of my money back. I googled it and apparently many others have had the same issue, except some people don’t check their statements closely and are charged every months for years before they notice!

      • Jenna

Yeah they try to trick you by offering a free $10 check or something like that at check out if you sign up for some other program. In very fine print it says you’re signing up for a monthly service that will be charged unless you cancel after X days. Just be sure not to agree to anything but the restaurant.com gift certificates.

    • Andrea

This is a great deal, thanks so much for posting it!! I just spent $28 for $270 in dining coupons!

    • Lisa

For $45.60 I got $695 of gift certificates for everyone in our family’s Christmas present. Plus, I snuck in gift certificates for monthly dinner dates with hubby, a surprise dinner for his birthday in VA, and my son’s birthday dinner for tonight. THANKS a ton!

I try to do Christmas themes for family and friends to make Christmas easier…so this years theme is Gift Certificates. =-)

      • what a great deal Lisa! ;) I’m sure everyone will enjoy their presents and I know hubby will ;)!

    • jac

please call the restaurant if your not sure if they still honor the coupon befor buying. We called one restaurant and they said they do not honor the coupons no more. Restaurant.com would exchange it if that was teh case. but with only 2 restaurants to chose from. in my area. i will calll the restaurant first.
But this is a super deal/

    • milo

I purchased three $25 gift cards for $10 a piece. Big problem was that I did not know about the “special instructions” that said Valid with purchase of 5 full sized entrees. Come to find that each full size entree costs $25. That means you would have to spend $125 before you would save $25. Very bad deal.

    • Michelle

finally the restaurants are available! $60 worth for $4.80, what a deal!

    • Stephanie

I bought 2 $25 gift certificates for $5. Wish I would have read the fine print-I have to spend $50 at one restaurant and $45 at the other to use the gift certs!!!! So basically not what I expected….
