Here are all the deals that start Sunday at Rite Aid. It’s a slower week than the past few weeks, though there are still a couple freebies. If you see any other deals leave a comment below and I’ll add them to the list. I’m going to hold off on making a scenario tonight, sheer exhaustion is keeping my brain from getting math to work.

I'm sure I saw a welch's grape jelly Q (maybe in conj. w/ buying milk?) in a recent insert. Anyone remember where it is?

      • kaseyshadow

Might have been with Jif Peanut butter. I remember saying that's not a very good Q because you have to buy the jelly too… but I don't remember what brand of jelly.

Can you use a Rite-Aid Video Value Coupon with a Manufacturer's Coupon??? If so, then you can get the Video Value Coupon $1 off for the Garnier Shampoo/Conditioner, and Print or use RP 8/08 X2 to get 2 for $1 after the $2 +UP. Can you use a Video Value with a Manufacturer's coupon (even though the Rite-Aid Coupon says “Manufacturer's Coupon” at the top)????

      • Jakki L

I cannot find the $1 off Video Value Coupon for the Garnier Shampoo/cond. where is it? Thanks!

        • It is in their Video list. I have watched it. It says $6 in coupons. For watching the video you get a 2 coupons, $1 coupon off sham/cond and $5 off a blow dryer protector kit.

    • ItsJustMe

Yes, you can stack the Video Values with Manufacturer's coupons

      • CorvairShaggy

Thanks!! Gonna load up on some .50 cent Garnier!! :)

    • judebluiz359

Jenny, I just want to say you are so wonderful to still print all these deals even though you are technically on a “vacation”. Thank you so much for all you do- you are so loyal and helpful to your readers!!! Have fun in the Big Apple- you deserve a wonderful time!!!

    • Supermombeaufort

Here's my scenario. Not sure this is a great deal because I'm so used to “free”. 2 Tides at 10.99 and 1 Visine. Use $5 off $25, 2 $1 of Tide, $1 off Visine store coupon, $2 off Visine mc, $7.50 in UP rewards from last week = $8.47 OPP, Get back $4 in UP rewards.

    • Grtteach

I tried to click on the Rite Aid store coupon for Huggies $2 off, but it took me to the $5 off $25 purchase from watching videos…what am I doing wrong???

      • The Huggies coupon is a video values coupon. You have to watch the video.

    • Katkoupon

I got a cpn in last Sunday's paper for B2G1 on (8.2 oz or larger) bags of M&M's. So 3 bags for $4? Lot of chocolate! Should last a long time!

      • I used this at CVS last week along with 2 $1 off coupons. This is even better. I wish I had another $1 coupon!

    • Tryingtosave

Everyone else may already know this, but when I went in my Rite Aid on Friday, the cashier told me that you cannot use a Video Values ($5 off of $20 purchase) with a Rite Aid coupon for dollar/dollars off. They mailed me several $1 off any purchase to replace some +UP coupons that didn't print. I tried to use one with my $5 off, and she consulted a chart that told her what could be used together. If you look at any Rite Aid coupons, and they have a “48” near the beginning of the bar code, you can only use one per order. She was very nice about it, and I told her I wanted to do things the right way.

      • cassia2

She was mistaken. Here's what the policy says:

o No more than one “48” Rite Aid Valuable coupon, one “49” Rite Aid Manufacturer coupon, and one “5” Manufacturer coupon can be used on a single item.

Your +UP coupons are not tied to an item, they are a reward, so the only one “48” limitation doesn't apply here. Also note that this limits the “48” to one per item, not per order. (And your +UP coupons don't count on this anyway, as you can see below.)

Here is the information on +UP coupons:
        +UP Reward Coupons
? +UP Reward coupons are special coupons earned by a customer in a prior purchase that can be used for any non-prescription purchase with a small number of exclusions that are listed on the +UP coupon. Multiple +UP coupons can be used (subject to the printed exclusions) up to the amount of purchase before sales tax.

If only one could be used per transaction, they wouldn't say you could use multiple. :)

Finally, here is what it says about $5/$25:
? These coupons are accepted under the following conditions:
o The coupon is valid and in date; only one total purchase coupon per transaction.
o Total purchase equals or exceeds $25 before tax (before any coupons are applied).
o Coupons for individual items can also be used including another “48” coupon that is tied to an item in the transaction.
o Provided the total of items purchased is equal to or greater than the purchase requirement, other coupons can be used in conjunction with the total purchase coupon.

Note the third line – you *can* use another “48” coupon with the $5/$25.

I don't think she was trying to be mean, but she was wrong. And you could probably bring your receipt and ask to get the +UP coupons taken as post coupons since the mistake was in a cashier misunderstanding, not your mistake. :)

        • Tryingtosave

          Thanks for the help!

There are a few things I would like to get but it will be hard to get to the 25$ point to use the 5/25.

    • kjmiller

Blech.. have $8 in UP reward i need to use in the next week and I don't see anything here i can get remotely excited about rolling them into. Maybe i'll just dump 'em into a splurge item..

    • kjmiller

oops. Got convicted about appearing ungrateful.. (Thanks Jenny, as always!). And hey, there's always the toilet paper. :)

    • MaryT

Nothing jumps out at me either. Thankfully my +UP tickets are good through 8/21 so I'll just gratefully hold on to them and hope for a better sale next week! Plus, I just hit “silver” last week, so I'm in the 10% off bracket now!! :o) Hope you're enjoying NYC, Jenny!

      • Bamabobbie

How much do you have to spend to hit silver? I must have hit gold because I'm at 20% already. LOL I did transfer all my prescriptions there a few months back.

        • MaryT

500 points (a point for every dollar spent — from what I can tell that mean out-of-pocket dollars) for silver, 1000 for gold. But 25 points for every prescription, so that's where you made your points up. Good for you! I think it starts over at the beginning of the calendar year, and we get the better of either the discount or the sale price for items that are on sale. (Correct me, anyone, if I'm wrong!) But still it's a good deal — a dollar saved is a dollar earned! :o)

    • Alice

Just an FYI since they are on the SCR deals this month. When I went to pick up Trojans this last week they had a few varieties of Trojans on sale 75% off! The sensitive lubricated (purple box) were included. They rang up 3.75 and I had a 2 dollar coupon from Trojans website so 1.75 out of pocket AND I get 3.00 rebate back for buying them. Thanks rite aid my husband and I are VERY grateful no babies for us and FREE:)

    • kjmiller

Quick question. I did print off a $5 off $25 purchase coupon (exp 9/25/10) today from the RiteAid video site. But I'm confused. I only had about 3 (of required 25 video points) so I don't think I earned the regular one. And it (the Q) has an asterisk saying “..when you watch the Rx Services Video”. Anyone have experience with one of these?

      • Aminehdestin

There are 2 videos you can watch by themselves to get $5 off of $25. One's the RX Services video (the one you watched) and the other is the Wellness Plus video (I think). They are for total purchase coupons rather than being for one item. The videos are a little longer, but it's worth it. They're trying to get everyone 100% sure about the programs RA is offering now, I think. So once you reach your 20 credits you'll get a 3rd (if you watch that other video of course) $5 off $25 for getting the 20 credits. You can use all 3 in the same day with the same wellness card w/no problems, or you can spread them out for when you have some really good sale weeks for what you need/want. I think it's Ad Perks way of saying “use more than one, without printing multiples”. That way even w/the new safe guards, you're still getting a few chances at saving $5.

        • Aminehdestin

Let me clarify one sentence, you can't use all 3 together in the same transaction! You can use them on 3 transactions but they can all be done back to back if you choose to do it that way!

          • kjmiller

            Thanks- that's very helpful!

    • cassia2

    • Chillto

My daughter has some +UP coupons that she isn't going to use. Does anyone know if I can use hers and mine (we got them for the same item) together to buy an item?

      • Nancy

        Yes, you can.

      • Immaculate888

No you can't because her ups are linked to her wellness card and your ups are linked to your card so the machine won't take them both in one transaction together. I think the best bet would be for you to buy a few things with her ups using her card and then buy other things in a seperate transaction with your card and your ups.

      • Aminehdestin

        From what I've read on the different websites up until last week, they are linked the the wellness card that generated them, but as of last week people were reporting that they aren't linked. I don't know for sure though, and can't try it personally b/c my card is an associate card, and if I use someone else's rewards, Loss Prevention would see that as me either stealing a customers rewards, being given rewards from customers (against policy) or something else they could fire me over. Sorry I can't really help with this question, but I suggest trying it. At worst, it'll just refuse the reward. Our registers seem to have gotten better about not voiding them after they're scanned unless they are accepted, so you shouldn't have issues after the fact w/that either. At least if all stores have the glitch fixed. ;-}

      • julies

I have 3 cards and i use my ups with whatever card I am using that day and I have never had any problems with them. Occasionally 1 may beep but my cashier pushes them thru

      • Dtetuan

I have 3 cards also and used UPs from different ones for my transaction 2 days ago and it worked fine. I wish the people that insist that they are linked to a wellness card have actual experience before saying these things instead of just stating what they've read. They are obviously NOT linked or it wouldn't have worked for me.

    • Aminehdestin

L'oreal Healthy look hair color is on sale this week and is my most excitable sale. It's reg. $9.99 (and advertised @ same price) w/a $2 in ad coupon. If you've reached silver or gold on your wellness card, you'll get your 10-20% off as well as the coupon. There are many $3 man. q from the past several papers and a VV $2 coupon. I called and spoke with someone else at my store though b/c it looks like the ad coupon and the VV coupon both start with “49” which implies that they can't be used together. It makes no sense to us, so we thought we'd try it and see what happens, because “valuable” coupons to all of us sounds like video values. At 20% off though, if all 3 coupons go through, it's free! If not, well still $2 for an apparent really good hair color is amazing.

      • Nancy

I didn't think you could get your 10% or 20% off on sale items.

        • It is my understanding that you would get the percentage off or the sale price, whichever is a bigger discount.

        • Aminehdestin

You get the better of the discount or the sale. The “sale” on this is $9.99, but that's the regular price so your discount is automatically better. Then you still get to use the in-ad coupon for $2 off! My math is off in the original post, sorry I was sleepy doing it, but if all 3 coupons are allowed and you get 20% you're paying $0.99 not free. So using all 3 coupons (if allowed, but I do think they're both “49” so it may just be 2) w/out a discount you'd pay $2.99, with 10% you'd pay $1.99 and with 20% you'd pay $0.99. If you can't use your VV (use the in-ad instead b/c it expires this week!) it would be $4.99, $3.99 and $2.99 for the hair color. Even w/just the 2 coupons it's an excellent price for what I've heard is a great hair dye!

I know this has been addressed here but until yesterday I had not had a problem. On the ups rewards.. yesterday I was told I could only use ONE per transaction. I didn't think this was right. What is RA policy on this? THANKS!!

      • kaseyshadow

if you go to I heart saving money and click on the rite aid tab the second entry on her blog is about the meeting Rite aid supposedly had on Monday to “retrain” everyone. You should be able to print that policy and take it with you.

        • RACashier

It wasn't really “retraining” as much as training. Each store up until Monday was just working on figuring it out on their own. But the store should have the “new” coupon policy at each register, just in case though I would take it with you. I say one more week on each store learning the actual policy and then the novelty of “new” wears off and it's time that corporate actually does some real training on +Ups. The Monday conference call was more about how many coupons can be accepted and what kind etc. (that was retraining) and then a short “oh yeah” do this in regards to +Ups. I'm sorry to all of you, I'm sure it's frustrating b/c it's frustrating at store level too.

          • kaseyshadow

Wow, I hate to be a cashier. I love my normal cashier and for that matter everyone but two pharmacy people at my rite aid. THey have been wonderful and always are so nice with the coupons. I know what you mean about needing training. sounds like you guys get “trained” as well as we do (I teach) and then get yelled at when something goes wrong:)

      • If you click on my name, it will take you to my blog. On my right sidebar there is a link to the Rite Aid coupon policy. It was emailed to me by Rite Aid Corp. You can download it to your computer and print it out, complete with Rite Aid logo. They did not send me the link to the pdf version, so I had to put it on an Adobe share page.

        • Hasfam

Thanks. I printed a copy from my HD and will keep it in my wallet.

    • Sandythomason

Our rite aid ads in Greenville, SC says there should be coupons in the paper, but I cannot find any.

    • Sandythomason

oops- I meant to say that there are supposed to be coupons for the Schick Hydro razors in todays paper. Does anyone else have this problem?

      • Pam

they were in mine Georgia Times

      • Bamabobie

A $5. off coupon was in the SS today in Birmingham.

      • Katkoupon

Disappointed, no coupon in my SS today :( (Myrtle Beach)

      • Coupnclipperjenny

Not in the Savannah Morning News. I was disappointed as well. Is there an online one anywhere?

    • Abegitschke

I just noticed in todays ad that the up rewards say limit 1 offer per houshold.looks like they finally caught on. Also on the m&ms deal. If you buy 2 and use the q from last weeks paper you can get 1 free, making them $1 a bag.not bad.

    • julies

okay important question. If i am buying shampoo and I have a coupon for the shampoo, then when i get the shampoo there is a another $off coupon on the product that says, take $2 off NOW, is it LEGIT for them to take that coupon that was on the bottle +++ my manufacturer coupon I bring in???? They usually do it, but i want to make sure it is following the rules by doing both coupons. It made for a heck of a deal today on Garnier shampoo, ended up applying $7 in coupons when the purchase was only 2/$6. She did it for my first 2 transactions but on my 3rd she didn’t…i am not arguing since it was soo good on the first 2 transactions….what is your take on this??

      • Aminehdestin

Technically the register should have beeped saying “product not found” b/c they're both man. coupons. Thank you for wanting to follow policy! Really though, the policy states that only one man. q per item can be taken (they start w/either a 5 or a 9 even though I think the policy only actually says'5') but you can also use a RA coupon with it. SOMETIMES there are peelies that are RA coupons, but it's rare. Normally, what you should do, is compare the 2 coupons and use either the better deal for the day or if they're the same $ off, keep whichever has the longer exp. date. I've had customers pull back their man. q that they brought in, and then I mention the exp date, and almost always we exchange, and I take their coupon and they keep the peelie b/c it's got at least several months on their coupons.

      • Deals4amycorene

I'll chime in since you asked. This is my understanding… If they are both coupons from the manufacturer then, no you shouldn't do it. Usually the wording on the manufacturer. coupon will help you know if you can use more than one on one item. If you have a store coupon plus manufacturer that should be good.

      • Guest

No, you shouldn't use 2 manufacturer coupons on the same product. You should choose which one was the better coupon and used that one.

    • Nancy

I went in this morning and purchased over $30 worth of stuff including the Visine deal. The cashier wouldn't accept the in-ad coupon for the Visine because I used another Rite Aid coupon which begins with “48”.
Does this mean that I if I purchase two different sales items that happen to have in-ad coupons for both that week then I can only use one of those coupons?

      Aminehdestin can you explain?

      • Were you using them both on the same item? If not, then she was mistaken..Their policy states “No more than one “48” Rite Aid Valuable coupon, one “49” Rite Aid Manufacturer coupon, and one “5”- Manufacturer coupon can be used on a single item.”

        • Nancy

Actually, I'm looking at all of the coupons I used, and even though I did use 2 coupons on the Visine (an in-ad and a coupon from the Visine website) I believe the coupon she was referring to was the $5/$25 coupon. Sorry to be so confusing, but would this be true?

          • A 5/25 is always allowed, as long as your subtotal was at least $25 before any coupons. But you have to make certain that you give it to the cashier first. If you click on my name it will take you to my blog. I have a link to the revised coupon policy. Just scroll down a little. It was sent to me via email from Rite Aid corp. Feel free to download it to your computer and print it.

            • Nancy

              Thank you!

      • Brooke

Suemh is right. You can use 3 coupons on 1 item. If you have 2 different items then you are able to use at least 3 of the different kinds of q's per item.

      • Aminehdestin

See, this is why I come to post here, just for stuff like this. I need a little more information to be 100% sure as to what happened, but from what I know: If the other “48” coupon was also for Visine (like a VV coupon, but I don't think there is one) then she was right. BUT you can use both a “49” and a “48” coupon on EACH ITEM purchased along with a manufacturers coupon which policy states is a “5” but we all know they also start with “9” sometimes. I would take your receipt back in and speak with the manager and ask for a post coupon. Try saying that you were trying to make sure with the new policy before asking to be reimbursed, but since you didn't use a RA coupon for Visine that started with “48” from what you understand in the policy is that you can use that coupon. Plus, it would just be stupid to put multiple coupons in an ad and only allow one to be used. You can use every coupon in that ad as long as you buy each of the items. I would plan out your approach though, because I'm not sure how your store manager is, but if you do it right hopefully you won't be greeted with the evil eye each time you come in after this.

        • Brooke

ok this is starting to confuse the crap out of me.. Are you saying that if there was a visine vv q that you could or could not use it with an in ad q?

          • Aminehdestin

This is confusing to me too. I got very excited about the L'oreal Healthy Look hair color this week b/c I'd get my discount, plus the $2 in-ad q, plus the $3 man q. plus the $2 VV q, but it turns out both the in-ad and VV are “49” coupons so it's one or the other. There are some coupons in the ad this week that are “48” and apparently say valuable [or variable?] and those could be combined with one “49”. That's the whole tough thing with the new policy. Since I'm not working this week, I actually called and mentioned it to one of my co-workers last night, and they looked through the ad and their VV coupons and man. coupons and realized that only some ad coupons will be able to be stacked with the VV coupons. I guess the “49” coupons are true man. coupons whereas the “48” are just special sales in the form of coupons. I don't know why. So far I've yet to see a VV coupon besides the $5 off ones that start with 48. Sorry guys, I know you all were probably excited by the way the policy sounded b/c it sounded great until I saw the numbers of most of the RA coupons. Most of the time, you will only be able to stack one RA and one “real” manufacturer coupon. I have a feeling Video values may be winding down….

            • Brooke

Yikes, I'm wondering and afraid that this is only going to cause a lot more trouble for the employees. I guess some people will get upset when they realize what they planned out actually won't go through. Everybody will just be confused and exasperated in some stores, clerks and customers alike.

            • Aminehdestin

I completely agree. When I read the new policy my thought was “great, it's in writing, we take 1 man. coupon, 1 in-ad coupon and 1 V.V. coupon for each item if they're all available” until I went and looked at last weeks ad and saw that the coupons started with “49 as did the V.V. coupons I'd just printed. There is a reason though… I'm assuming running an in-ad coupon must be cheaper than “purchasing” a sale at a store b/c stores are allowed to stack in-ad man. coupons and actual man. coupons due to the in-ad being considered a “sale”and stores will still get paid back for those coupons though. (We think). The “48” coupons are simply store coupons that have 0 reimbursement value. Something hopefully all stores will catch on to, because those are the ones that need to be adjusted down if an item will go below $0. It's going to be tough though, cashiers are going to have to really pay attention now unless they update the system to catch RA coupons that shouldn't be taken, b/c as of right now the register just takes ad coupons no matter what. Good thing for couponers though, is that most of you are on these sites and will start planning accordingly so that you go in with a plan that you're actually able to execute. It's going to be the random couponers who get up in arms when we try to explain it. Granted, it still seems less annoying than Walgreens and their 1 coupon per item rule, that includes the RRs. I've never done the Walgreens thing, but it seems confusing to me…

        • Nancy

Aminedestin, see my response below to suemh. I'm realizing now that the other 48 coupon was probably the $5/$25 coupon. Rite Aid is not allowing the $5/$25 coupons to be stacked with the in-ad's or video values…are they?

          • Aminehdestin

No, I guarantee that's a mistake. It still states in the policy that a total purchase coupon is taken as long as the total meets the requirement ($25 before tax in this case). I'm pretty sure that each ITEM can have one of each the beginning numbers “48”, “49” and “5/9(basic manufacturer coupons)”. The $5 off wouldn't apply to the Visine b/c it's not an item and the Visine is. I would go in as soon as you get a chance and speak w/the store manager. I'm sure they'll do a post coupon for you. I hope that's just confusion on the cashier's part, but from what I've read on here over the past few weeks there seem to be a lot of stores who will do anything to not accept that $5/$25 coupon. If the manager agrees with the cashier, you will need to contact corporate and hopefully have them explain to the store that the total purchase coupon is ALWAYS accepted no matter what other coupons are used (except of course another total purchase coupon). Good luck, Nancy.

            • Nancy

Yes, I will definitely call corporate and check it out. I will post the results when I get an answer. Thanks for all your help!

    • Smchcoupons

      M&M's – $2 for 5, $1 Up reward on 2 (so it's like paying 2 for $4)
Then use the Buy 2 Get 1 Free Coupon, and the $1 off any one M&M Pretzel Chocolate Candies.
You get 3 bags of M&M's for $1 each.

Hope that makes sense, sorry I don't know the source of these coupons.

    • Athompson3082

I went into rite aid today and (3) 10% off shopping passes printed off on my receipt. Don't know how I managed that one but it did make me very happy!!

      • Aminehdestin

Interesting, but congratulations! Since I know most people on here normally only do the sales, plan your trips around what you need that that 10% will come in handy with! Especially like the hair dye in-ad coupon, you'll save $1 with the pass then the $2 in-ad coupon, if you have the man. q too that's 50% off. I'm sure there are other deals like that too! Like the Visine! Have fun planning.

        • Athompson3082

after looking at the shopping passes closer, i realized they were for earning 125 250 375 points. But i am kinda mad because if I read on there correctly it said there are void if already recieving 10 or 20% off. These passes didn't print until after I had reached 500 points, therefore, i am already recieving 10% off and can not use them :-(

      • ScottK

I heard that's how they're doing the rewards now because so many people's addresses and registration papers are getting lost in the shuffle.

        • Erin

Hmm, what does that mean when it comes to rebate checks and gift cards? Will they get lost in the shuffle too?

          • Aminehdestin

Rebates are a completely separate office. Plus, it's an older system so there are less kinks. I can see the Wellness sign ups getting shuffled together, because there are other forms in brochure form like that, and if a store is lazy and sends it all in together, do we really think corporate is going to sort through each one and send it to the right office in a timely manner? Plus, printing them on the receipt is more instant gratification. You don't have to wait a week (or 2) to get your shopping pass. You can use it on the very next transaction you do after you earn it. Sensible move on Rite Aid's part. I applaud the forethought there.

      • Guest

I should have earned a 10% off shopping pass by now, but I never got anything in my email :(

    • Katkoupon

MIR offer on my Pilot Frixion pens I bought today! $3.99 each, B1G1, used $1/1 VV, used (2) printables (emailed) from Pilot website…99c oop (tax-free weekend). On back of package is a Refund by Mail offer…Buy 1, get $1.25 refund, b2 rec $2.75, b3 rec $4.50! I love finding bonuses! I don't know if anyone else has tax-free weekend in their area, but I was happy to learn that diapers are tax-free as well! I bought diapers at 3 different stores this weekend and saved $3.24 in taxes without even planning on it!

    • micaela

the Nair is BOGO ($6.50 each) and if you go to the Nair website you can get a $3/2 coupon. this makes the 2 Nair products for $3.50 or $1.75 each!

    • julies

My Garnier UP didn't print, i called corporate and they said they were having some problems with them so they are sending them to me.

    • Tracy

I see in the ad now that all the UP rewards items state 1 offer per household. Has anyone tried buying any of these items twice (in separate transactions) and received the reward each time? Just wondering if truly will only print one reward per card now.

      • Leah L.

Okay, I tried to do a “test” on this yesterday. I bought the Old Spice deoderant in my first transaction and got the UP rewards of course. Then on my second transaction I got the Old Spice body wash that was listed in the same ad. I used the first UP reward I got from the deoderant on the bodywash deoderant, and it did print me out another $2 UP reward. So, I can't say for sure if it would do it mulitple times on the same item, but I guess there's a possibility it still will. Also, I used an in ad coupon, a video values coupon, and a manufacturer coupon on the Zegerid and the register allowed it. I'm sure the clerk should have not allowed the in-ad and the VV on the same item, but he didn't bat an eye when scanning them.

        • Athompson3082

I was very happy with my Zegrid purchase too!!! It was regular 22.99 got in for 18.99 for using my wellness card, I used the in ad coupon for 2.00 A manufacturer coupon for 3.00 and a Rite Aid coupon for 3.00 and after tax only had to pay 12.32!

    • Micheleltraxler

I went to Ride Aid this morning, gave the cashier my UP rewards, she looked at me and said they were copies!!!! I was so irritated are you serious lady…. but they scanned with no problem. I think they need to print the rewards on better paper, they smear real easy with any humidity or turns black?

      • Jerry

A few weeks ago, I put a hot dish on top of a Rite Aid receipt, and the receipt started to turn gray (and look like copies from a 1980's copier). So, I brought the whole receipt, including purchases and +UP rewards coupons, to the cashier. I explained what happened, and mentioned that something photocopied wouldn't be 2 feet long and 2 inches wide. She asked her manager, and he accepted it.

      • Aminehdestin

It's laser paper. Heat always does that to laser print. Besides, even had you made a copy, the register is smart enough to say it had already been used. They're trying to update the system to be a bit smarter, and it looks like that might not be a bad thing. Sorry for your trouble, anyone who knows laser receipt paper knows what it does.

        • Michelletraxler

that is what I told her… she was just so rude about it!! I have never had that happened at Rite Aid, usually they are nice :((

Hey, just a question, but based on some “feedback” I've received on another site, I thought I should ask all of you: Are you guys upset/angry that I come to the site? Or that I comment, not only on basic scenarios and purchases, but try to help make sure everyone (including RA employees) understands the policy and has a general understanding of Rite Aid?

      • I believe that you will probably help some people understand more. I always think it's good to hear from store employees. Some people may be afraid that you will act as a “double-agent” and try to stop the great deals. The manager of the store that I shop commented one day that I was gonna have to teach him how to do it. My first response was “Why, so you can put a stop to it?” He assured me that was not the case.

I do take the deal scenarios to my store, we've joked it's part of my job, because that way we're a little more prepared for what we're going to be selling a lot of. I do wish there was a way to figure scenarios like these a little earlier, so that we could actually order up early enough to have plenty, but on weeks that we get our warehouse truck, I've told my manager what hot items were in the scenarios and what coupons are out for them and she's manually ordered extra. We never get all that we order, but hey, even getting an extra 8 is better than none. ;-) Then again, at my store, we all do some of the deals too! There are 4 of us who coupon as best we can. Second part of my new job here, is to let them know if a good deal is coming up on something they would want/need and which week the coupons came out [and if I have mine that I'd give them]. That's my question here though. I've commented openly about working for RA for, I guess right at a month now, since I found the site *or figured it out at least* and none of you have been rude or hateful towards me, or accused me of being like some of your stores/managers/cashiers who “treat couponers like criminals” and yet this other website, in just a couple of days I've been treated horridly b/c I work at the store and I'm “spying”. I understood when people questioned me when I tried to explain why overage is against policy, it does seem to be a gray area, but I've never said that it was illegal for a customer to use a coupon w/overage. Even here, I've mentioned that the coupon fraud there is on the store not the customer b/c we are the ones legally obligated to catch it. So I just wanted to make sure I wasn't stepping on toes here and making people mad.

          • I believe that overages caused by the use of just a manufacturer's coupon should be allowed, if the store is going to be reimbursed the full amount from the manufacturer. If it is from a store coupon, then I think the cashier should be able to adjust it down if needed. FYI: I think that if were making anyone mad here, you would know it by now.

I love that you post here! It's good to have an insider share what they know and I'm glad you take your knowledge to your fellow coworkers. If people don't like you sharing information on a site it's probably because they are doing something they are not supposed too :) I welcome your feedback.

      • Nancy

I'm glad that you are here and I'd be very disappointed if you didn't give us any of your feedback. We are naturally conditioned to believe that rules and policies are no fun, but we do need rules and policies at Rite Aid because we want the company to remain profitable and happy so we can continue to get great deals.

        • Nancy

God forbid if Rite Aid closed its doors and we all had to shop at Walgreens! Ugh! (Just kidding!….kind of)

Can someone please answer this? If I buy 3 Colgate toothpastes on sale this week for $2.69, and use separate transactions, am I allowed to get 3 rebates or is it limited to one?

      • Val

Just one! :) Only one Rebate account per household.

    • Jodielynn23

      What is a V.V. coupon?

      • Jodielynn23

        video values. Nevermind. :)

    • Lyneete

Okay, So I had an okay trip to Rite Aid. BUT – I have a question. I got two rainchecks for the Twilight razors they had on sale last week for 4.99. I also had two coupons I gave her the B1G1 coupon first and then tried to use my 3.00 coupon… she didn't know if they could do that, and gave me indefinate answers. Can I use both? THANKS! :)

      • Val

You should have been able to use both. The BOGO coupon applies to the free item, the $3 coupon applies to the one you are purchasing. One coupon per item :)

      • Aminehdestin

We've had conflicting answers to this. The DM says no. The register doesn't beep now with them though. I've started allowing it, until I can talk to our Loss Prevention manager, since he'd be the one who flagged the transaction and fire me for not accepting coupons right. One in a transaction, every few days won't get me fired, but more than that and I may have to track him down for an answer so I don't lose my job.

Hey! Has anyone checked out the new Rite Aid Coupon Savings book? They just came out with them this Tuesday and it has alot of coupons that are compatible with some of the sales this week/month. Has $128 in savings in it.

    • dizeigle

Is this a regional coupon book or national? Is it available where the weekly ad and rebate booklet are located?

      • Nancy

I found it at the checkout register. I'm not sure if it's regional or national, but the cashier said that Rite Aid just came out with them on Tuesday. Maybe one of the Rite Aid reps on this site can give us more info on it and whether or not these can be used with manufacturer's coupons. :)

When it says that you get a rebate for $5 when you spend $15 – do you have to buy all $15 worth in that 1 trip, or can you spread it out over multiple trips/receipts (as long as you get the receipts turned in before the deadline)?

      • Angel_in_Charleston

You can spread it out. Just make sure you enter all the receipts before the deadline!

    • S_scott2908

I have a question about the Proglide deal…if you buy the Proglide razor then you get a Proseries skincare for free…am I able to use the $2.00 off coupon in the paper for the skincare and the $3.00 off coupon for the skincare found in the savings booklet on that item??

      • Aminehdestin

You'd have to try it. I'd have to actually ring the items and see both coupons (if they're both man. coupons that the UPC starts in 5 or 9 only one can be used) and then if they are both able to be stacked, that BOGO deal makes it iffy because you can use a coupon a free item in a BOGO sale, but if the skincare item is originally over $5 one coupon would have to be adjusted down, unlike if it were a BOGO sale on just the skincare (buy 2 of the same items) b/c then the TOTAL selling price of the 2 items can't go below $0. I hate these sales sometimes because they make me think too much about which coupons are allowed. Then again, I thought about it one week, and figured out a way to get more than $60 in merchandise for right at $13.

        • S_scott2908

Hey thanks…I went last night and they let me use both coupons. Then when my receipt printed she took it and the assistant manager was like “oh you can't use the coupons because you're already getting the item for free and it's not like you can get paid $5” anyways she really really got under my skin and I wanted to see if it was right or not. My husband loves those razors and I had the coupons for them and for the skincare so I thought I'd just see. The computer took it and all that good stuff and I even checked with the cashier first and she said it was ok and then after the fact is when she wants to ask the assistant manager….who obviously had no clue about anything. She said you can't use coupons period if an item is free…but I know that's against their coupon policy but since this wasn't a BOGO of the same item I was confused. All I know is at least I got it but I was wanting to know for future reference.

          • Aminehdestin

Then chances are, you can. That's what I was wondering, would the register beep because it's a free item from buying a separate *type* of item. Apparently not. And then I also don't know the coupon book coupons, so I didn't know about stacking them, but since the new policy came out, everyone seems to be pretty clear about being able to use a “5/9” coupon along with both a “48” and “49” as long as it doesn't take an item (or BOGO sale items) below $0. Glad you got it without trouble until after the fact.
