I’m thinking Rite Aid want’s to have everything in the store either be a rebate or a +UP Reward. It’s a little crazy!! There is only one freebie this week but a lot of other items that are great prices after rewards and coupons. The list is long but skim through it so you don’t miss something you need.
If you see any other deals or coupons leave a comment below and I’ll add them to the list.

There are two different $5 off coupons out:

  1. $5 off $25 purchase coupon by earning 20 Video Values points.
  2. $5 off $25 printable from Redplum.

To see the full weekly ad, go here or if you live in an area with the “Short” ad go here.
(This week the Short Ad does not have 3 pages of in ad coupons the national ad has.  Ask your store manager if they will accept a printout of those coupons from the national ad.  Many of them WILL you just have to ask!!)

If you are new to Rite Aid read the getting started guide.

    • Jessica

For those in an area that gets the “short ad”: I emailed Rite Aid customer service regarding the reasoning behind the “short ad” and “long ad”. Here is the response I got.

“The reduced ad size is a result of merchandise changes we have made in our
stores to better serve the consumer. Certain product lines have been
removed and lines or merchandise that are more highly requested have been
expanded. These changes greatly affect the number of pages that carry
advertised items and the 4 page ad will reflect the most highly consumed
products and provide a better shopping experience at store level. However,
the sales in our larger flyers are still accepted at all of our locations.”

Note, the last sentence says that all areas will still accept the longer ad. So, I went to my local store and tried. They said that you have to have a copy of the ad (or the pages with the items you need) in order for them to do a “price match” on the product. They did tell me that if you print it out online, it must come from riteaid.com (not a blog site, etc). I used the shopping list function at riteaid.com, added the items that needed to be ajdusted to my shopping list, and then took the printed list to my local Rite Aid. They had no problems accepting this and happily gave me the “long ad” sales.

      • Val

WOW! Thanks for sharing this. I emailed Rite Aid about two months ago asking the same thing, and there response was much different. I'll have to ask the manager next time I see him. Thank you again!

      • RebeccaFer

Thankfully I'm in the long ad area but this is an awesome thing for those in the short ad's area. It's really nice of you to share that info! :D

    • Jenifer K.

this is not to do with rite aid but…does anyone have a suggestion as to where i can get a double notebook for coupons? is that the proper name too because i heard you can get them on amazon.com but everytime i type double notebook in the search all these sites for netbook computers come up! so….if anyone has any advice on where i can get a coupon binder with two 3-ring sections it would be great. thank you!

      • Jandomcintyre

I saw one of these at Wal-mart for $15 in the back to school section! Don't like to shop there, was there for a particular item, but saw them on an endcap and almost bought one myself!

      • M_bruere

i got a z-binder at staples and love it. one side i have the sleeves with clipped coupons and the other i have pockets that i keep the inserts in. i keep a pair of scissors and pen with it. i clean every month to keep the size/weight down. and i only buy 2-3 inserts each month. it works great for me and keeps everything organized and portable.

    • Ida

I am looking forward the the Purex sale, $5.99 is the regular price right? If it is that would be great because I get the 20% off so it would then be about $4.79 – $3 coupon + $1 up reward so .79 cents. I love having that 20% off.

      • grace

Ida, I bet you do most of your shopping at Rite Aid.

        • Ida

You just made me chuckle, I love Rite Aid, I liked it better when they weren't so strict with the $5/ $20' s but I won't complain. I shop all three because they are all right across the street from each other so why not but I enjoy shopping at Rite Aid, I get the best deals there. What is great about RA is to get to be a Gold member they take your coupons into account they calculate it like cash spent, So there is no way I spent $1000 oop but in coupons oh ya. So that is a nice benefit to using coupons. I reached Gold member the end of June so not bad, I will miss it in January when I have to start over but I am enjoying it now :)

          • Nancy

I hear ya! I'm a Gold member too, and it is so hard to shop CVS and Walgreens when we have that everyday 20%. I buy Pampers big packs and my starting price with the 20% is $15.99 (as opposed to $19.99). That doesn't even include any coupons, rebates, or rewards.

Sometimes I can get diapers for as low as $3.00 a box when I find a way to combine them in with a good scenario.

They have a Dollar Store section in my local RA and even those items are 20% off! I get glass cleaner, bathroom cleaner, spices, etc. for 80 cents a piece.
Yes, the only time I go to CVS or Wags is when I can get stuff for a very good deal, but otherwise I stick with Rite Aid.

            • Amy

Yeah, I got to Gold level pretty fast–I was surprised!–and I love getting the 20% off!

            • Nancy

I know…there are so many ways to save. I went in tonight for my weekly last “hurrah” and purchased 1 box of Crest TP and 2 bottles of Old Spice body wash. I used a $1 Rite Aid coupon for the Crest and a $1 PG coupon for Crest. I used a B1G1 Q for the Old Spice and a $1 off 2 on the Old Spice as well (they were in the $100 PG booklet.

I paid 69 cents out of pocket (no sales tax in NH) and got back $2UP's and $2.69 SCR
how crazy is that? I love Rite Aid.

            • Nancy

Whoops. I also used 2 UP's in that transaction as well.

          • Aminehdestin

You won't start over in January. ;-) Once you reach a level, it rolls over to the next year. The only way you'll be knocked back down is if in 2011, you don't get 1000 points, then in Jan 2012, you'll start over (or at the level you did reach in 2011). Your points roll back to 0 at the first of the year, but rewards roll for one year.

            • Nancy

Seriously? I won't get knocked back down in January? Aminehdestin, will you marry me? LOL! Just kidding…but, no seriously, that is pretty good news to me. I wasn't looking forward to losing my 20% everyday discount.

            • Aminehdestin

I figured that would make people happy. I tried to tell all of my customers that point when we were signing everyone up, because it does make it an even better program. After you reach that 20% level, most customers will stay there, because you're all regular customers. I don't really see any of our customers (at my store) who have reached it, who won't meet that 1000 pts. by December of 2011 again.

          • M_bruere

my rite aid only seems to be giving me points for my oop not my coupons?… I was sad to see my totals be so low when i know i ve bought way more stuff then that. wonder why mine is only counting after coupon totals and some have been seeing it count precoupons… I just finally reached $300 pts… its a good thing i buy some higer priced stuff that gives rebates back or id never get there. :(

      • Aminehdestin

They aren't $5.99 at my store. I think our reg. price is $8.99. Unless there's been a price change while I've been out. There's a “TPR” which is one of the month long sales, unadvertised which I think I remember being $5.99.

      • Bacademy

If I am not mistaken, the $5.99 is the sale price. I think that the regular price is more like $8.00.

      • TraceyGA

Yes, I think 5.99 is the sale price. I remember buying it BOGO a little while ago and the regular price was 8.99. Also, without the 20% discount, the Purex is a better deal at CVS this week because you get $2 back instead of $1.

      • ScottK

Yep, 20% is just off the regular price, so you will pay $5.99 – $3 -$1.

    • Terri

I cannot find the $1 off Bounty Towels that is supposed to be in the P&G 8/1 insert. The Bounty coupons I have are for $.25 off. Was this some sort of regional deal? Thanks!

      • crystalt

Several of the P&G coupons that have been listed are diffrent than the ones I got in the 8/1 insert. Go figure!

        • Smartblonde

P&G inserts differ by region just like the RP and SS. Normally, there are not as many differences, but I noticed the last insert had quite a few. It drives me crazy. I feel like I'm punished for living in a small town.

          • Bev

I'm in a big city (Charlotte) and I didn't get that $1 off coupon either. So I'm not sure what region got it!

      • Danielle

The only $1 off Bounty coupon I've found was in the P&G $100 coupon book. I didn't get the Atlanta paper on 8/1 (it usually has everything)! My coupons were $.25 too. I'm definitely going to go get the ajc for the next P&G insert.

      • I got an 8/1 P & g from one of the clipping services. It has $112 in savings, while the one I already had only had $104. The $1 off Bounty was in it. Lucky me!

    • GarnetNBlack

does anyone know if CVS will take the printable Rite Aid $5 off $25 coupon? thanks!

      • TraceyGA

Your CVS might but mine won't take competitor coupons

    • Rachel

How do you get the Rite Aid coupon booklet? I'm new to Rite Aid.

      • talljennr

I am wondering the same thing,

    • Melanie

I am also wondering where I can find the Rite Aid booklet with the $-3 off q off Pampers – I would love to get that one! I've never seen any booklets inside my store. Aminehdestin – can you help me with that? Thanks!

      • Aminehdestin

I think the Pampers coupon was in a rebate booklet. P&G I think, gave one of the “special” rebates a little while back that if you bought a certain amount, you got a coupon booklet. Since you don't have one, your best bet would be to see if anyone you know did get the rebate but doesn't want/need their coupon. We share VV coupons in my store for items we don't use but someone else does. Everyone might as well share the wealth if they don't need their coupons. ;-) I've given all of my diaper coupons away at this point, thankfully, so I stop buying diapers for my friends with babies. I'm going broke and I don't even have kids. I see people trading coupons on these sites all the time, so browse and see what you can find. $3 is too good to not at least try for.

    • Ant0288

quick question… with the new 5/25 policy… my wife and i both had video value accounts, but share a wellness card… before we would use the 5/25 coupons from both video value accounts (on separate trips)… is this what they have done away with or can we continue using both video value accounts? (somewhere jenny said you couldn't make a copy which always seemed fishy to me anyways)

      • Aminehdestin

Honestly, you'd have to try it. The only one I've seen denied (because everyone seems to know that if you double print it won't work now) was when we tested it on one of the employees transactions. She tried using it in the same transaction so we'd know if there was a time limit to get in the system, and it said “pulling up wellness rewards” and then denied the coupon saying it was already used with that card. So it sounds like it's linked to your card, but I think the UPCs are different on each one now. Since you're obviously a regular, let your cashier/manager know that you want to try to use your wife's VV coupon that you've already used from your account and see if it does anything. Make sure you go prepared with one of the other 5/25 coupons so that you don't waste a trip though! On top of finding out the answer, you also prevent being looked at like you're trying to scam by explaining right away what you're doing.

        • AmyC

I have used multiple video values coupons in the same transaction from different accounts (for baby items from people who don't have babies!) using my wellness card. I have also used multiple 5/25 from different accounts on my same card, and have not had any issues. Hope this help!

          • Hisgurl7

Thank you!! I've been wondering the same thing, and now I know! :)

    • Jess14

does that same booklet have the $5 off crest white strips? and where do you find it..?? thanks!

    • Amy

Where do you get this “Rite Aid booklet”?

    • Amy B.

I think the Rite Aid booklet was a mail in rebate a few months ago if you bought a $25 in P&G products in Rite Aid you got $30 in rite aid coupons back.

      • Amy

Ah, got it. Guess I didn't get that one. :(

    • Hootiesoftball

What is the level to start getting the % off? Mine states I need another 110 points to reach the next level and right now, I'm getting no % off?

      • christa

When you reach 250 points you automatically get 10% off items that are not on sale when you use your card.

      • Amber022788

ok well i work at rite-aid you get 10% off all rite aid brand products right off the bat the when you reach 500 point you get 10% off stuff not on sale. When you reach 1,000 you get our discount which is 20%. You have a year i think to get the points and you get to keep the discount for a year.

        • Awidener429

Also for every 125 points(125, 250, 375), you get a 10% shopping pass on your reciept up till you reach the 500point.

    • paula wells

Under the section of Nivea body lotion, what can you get for 2.99?

    • Jenifer K.

does anyone know where i can find a double notebook for couponing? i tried amazon but couldn't pull one up. i don't know where to look and i definitely need to get organized, my dining room table is overflowing! thanks in advance.

      • Susangoff

I bought a “Case it” organizer and the baseball card organizers from amazon. It cost me about 30 dollars I think, but it’s been the BEST investment I have ever made. It holds TONS of coupons and has TONS of pockets to put other things along with a spot to hold all of your reward cards. And best of all, it has a strap on it so i can carry it like a purse!! I love that thing……….if you need help finding it, email me at susangoff@yahoo.com and I will help you. :)

      • Hubbardca

I got a double binder case at Walgreens for about $15.

      • Beth

This is THE best binder ever! I didnt want to buy it so my hubby bought it for me. I got mine at staples, but for some reason it is not on the website? Any way here is the link on amazon and it has free ship

If the link doesnt work just search for Case-it Z Binder
I love this because, while I was using a 3 inch cd case this one expands much fatter lol. I keep my clipped coupons in the baseball card holders on one side and the whole inserts and coupon booklets on the other. There is a place on the outside on each side that you can stick papers, and on each side of the binder on the inside is a place to store pens and two envelope side pockets and a large full side pocket. It comes with a strap that you can detach and a carrying handle. I have had mine for about two months and it still looks new its very durable (I am very rough on things like this, tossing in the car, and have a toddler that steps on it too lol)
Its well worth it to keep all coupons in one place! HTH!

      • Pennydealchick

Just left Wags this afternoon and they have some on clearence for $3.99. I was at the one on Garners Ferry, Columbia, SC

      • I bought mine at Staples. It has a handle and a shoulder strap.

      • Donna

Love the one from Staple's too! It is $22, but I use an $18 reward I had saved up from bringing empty cartridges in :)

      • couponpam

I saw one at Walmart in the school supplies section.

    • I have a tearpad coupon for Hershey's King Size Candy Bars B2G1F. Does this mean I could actually pay for one and get 3 free? 2 would ring up at 1.59 and 2 would ring up at 0. Then my coupon would take another 1.59 off. Does Rite Aid accept this deal. I know that Publix in Florida does, and they have true BOGO sales.

      • Aminehdestin

Yes, you could buy 1 and get 3 free with your coupon. It shouldn't be an issue for you.

    • Shopperkat

Just an FYI….There was a $2 Cheer coupon in the 7/25 Red Plum. I'll be stocking up this week! Also, I believe this has been addressed before…but just want to double check….If I purchase two of the Cheer detergents in one transaction, I will only receive the $1 UP for one of them….right?

      • Coupacoupon

Thanks for sharing!!! Do you know if Cheer has a line that is free of all dyes and perfumes?

        • Coupacoupon

and yes- you would need to split your transactions to get UP on both.

        • Shopperkat

I don't use Cheer on a regular basis, but I believe I have heard advertisements about “Cheer Free”….although I'm not 100% sure.

    • Nancy

        Thanks Nancy! You're awesome :)

        • Karen

I agree! Thanks for all the typing, Nancy!! You da (wo)man! :)

      • Aminehdestin

Thank you Nancy. I feel so out of the loop right now. From what I've been told though, these are all “49” coupons, right? So they can't be stacked with most in-ad coupons or Video Values, but can always be stacked with manufacturer coupons giving some pretty decent prices depending on the sales up until the end of the year. I'm pretty excited for some of them myself.

        • Nancy

Yes, that's correct. I called corporate the other day to make sure that these are stackable with manufacturer's coupons from Ped Plum, Smart Source, and P&G.

I did go into RA yesterday and use the Crest $1.00 off from the booklet along with the Crest $1.00 off from P&G 8/1 and was able to use both (which is pretty amazing since the Crest also has a $2.69 SCR as well). So they are stackable.

However, the guy at customer service pulled out his coupons policy and said that at checkout the customer may use one “48”, one “49” and one “5” coupon without any problems.

The booklet Q's are “49”'s but aren't all Video Values Q's labeled “48”'s? I know the in-ad Q's are “49”. I'll have to pull out the policy and check it out.

          • Aminehdestin

Right, you can use one of each, but no not all VV are “48”. A lot are actually “49”. That's what I noticed when I saw the L'oreal hair dye last week, because I thought I was gonna be getting hair dye for $.99 but the VV on it starts with “49” and the in-ad coupon started with “49” as well. Still, not a bad deal it was only $2.99 with the man. coupon and the ad coupon, it just would've been nice to get the $2 off from the VV too. Some in-ad coupons are “48” as well. Basically, it's anything we won't get paid back for that will start with “48”. The $5 off coupons, any RA brand, etc. They're called “valuable” coupons which is why I think most people assumed it was going to be the video VALUES coupons. There were a couple in last weeks ads, but most were 49.

      • Sallyperson25302

is tthat off the price or the price of the product?

        • Nancy

Off the price of the product.

    • Damengel

I am starting to like rite aid better than CVS lately. We shall see. Where is the best deals to get ink for my computer?? I also see you can take in empty cartridgres?

      • kaseyshadow

The best deal I’ve found was at walmart.com( I know I hate Walmart these day). It was $24 on line and $33 in the store. Walmart.com has $0.97 shipping so it was $26 total. Target had a really good deal last week were you got $10 target gift card when you bought the combo packs. My husband is an computer tech and says refilling the same cartiage is a disaster waiting to happen.

      • If you don't mind using off-brand, you can find good deals on amazon(dot)com. But it depends on what kind of printer you have. Staples and Office Max give you rewards for empty cartridges. At Staples, it is $2 and at Office Max it may still be $3. I normally turn mine it and then when I get my rewards, I use them to buy ink. Staples allows you to recycle up to 10 empty cartridges per month.

        • Mharwell01

The best way to go is to buy the bulk ink online and refill the cartridges yourself. You cant believe how simple it is. Check out youtube videos on how to do it.

        • Karen

Office Depot is $3 per cartridge refund (in a gift card sent out quarterly if your total rewards are $10 or more) and they allow you to bring in 20 per month. I did this recently when I first signed up for their rewards system and had 24 cartridges to bring in!! (Hubby has a home-based business and we'd been saving for quite a while.) I turned in 20 and have $60 worth of rebates coming to me! I waited for the month to change and then brought in 4 more. Sweet.

      • Guest

If you don’t mind off brand, I have had great success buying from 123inkjets.com. Go through Ebates for an even bigger savings. We had bought several cartridges for one printer to save on shipping. Well, the printer died a few months in and I was able to return all the cartridges for a full refund (they have a one year return policy)!!! I always order there now!!!

    • Benjamin

Select Reach floss is $.99, making it free with any $1/1 you have lying around. I actually had a $2/1 I got from the dentist…hooray MM!

    • Danielle

went to Rite Aid this morning, and I was only going to get the contact lens deal to help get me to $25 to use my $5 off $25– and my store had bonus packs of Complete- 2 packs together buy one get one free!! So I got 2 bottles for $7.99 minus the coupon and SCR..now to find someone to donate the dozen bottles of contact soln I have! Also had rolaid softchews on sale $1 per pack and was able to use the $4 off 2 coupons so made $1 on each pack. Forgot to ask about coupon book but when I got home there was one in the bottom of my bag so apparently my store is keeping them behind the counter.

    • meltoe

Can I use more than one ups RR per transaction?

    • Patty

Note that effective next week, Rite Aid in Greenville, SC will be changing to a SavALot Rite Aid. I heard this from one of the employees who is very knowledgeable and effective Tuesday, they will have a clearance sale to clear out everything that has a line through the bar code on the shelf tag for many items. They will begin offering groceries like meat and produce…. I understood nothing would change but have my concerns that the great deals, Wellness+ and UP Rewards will go away. In any event, we can shop a great clearance sale on what is there now and go the deals the best we can. There will be 10 stores in Greenville that will undergo this change but it does not mean all the Upstate stores will undergo this change. I worry as SavALot has never been attractive to me. I guess the concept will be like an Aldi with a pharmacy, etc. Weird! Whatever it takes to survive for RA, I guess. Here is how it went in Tacoma, WA earlier this year. http://www.weeklyvolcano.com/restaurants/grocery-stories/2010/02/save-a-lot-martin-luther-ling-jr-way-tacoma/

    • Fallaya

I didn't get a chance to hit RA today (heavy rain, cranky toddler), and I'm afraid they may have run out of the contact lense solution. If I get a raincheck for the contact lense solution, and they don't restock the shelf until AFTER the rebate period is over (Saturday), can I STILL receive the $7.99 in SCR?? Does anyone know?

      • Yes, you can. But after you enter your receipt and it has been processed, it may not show up as an SCR in your account. Then you will have to contact them and they will make the adjustment. I have done this two times.

    • Sherri

The Rite Aids in the surrounding areas of Greenville, South Carolina are going to become part Rite Aid and part Save A Lot grocery stores. The drug store will be small with the majority Save A Lot. They will continue precriptions also. Some stores are already selling alot of items 50% off already to make room.

      • Patty

You just beat me to the news, Sherri. Yes, I heard basically the same thing you did today. Seems this was just dropped on them last week so maybe we can reap the benefits before we lose them and only have Wags and CVS. I will miss RiteAid. It was the easiest of all of them to deal with…. So sad.

Also, if you check the web, you will see that they already did this in the Tacoma, WA area and it was said to be like a RA with meat and produce. I do hope it is of benefit. Not real crazy about SAL but I am all for some change in competition. I put it out there but it has be reviewed by a moderator before it will be allowed to be entered here. A full and better description of what it will be like can be found by searching for a blog called Weekly Volcano Save-A-Lot By Kris Blondin on February 24, 2010

          • Kristy

Oh I really hope this isn't true. I love my Rite Aid stores but I think as long as we get the same deals I will be okay!

What is the Save Big Dream Big Booklet?

    • catie

I have a Proctor Gamble coupon book I got as a SCR and all the coupons say “manufacturer coupon”, but the barcodes all start with RC49… Does anyone know if these can these be stacked with other manu qs, or not?

      • Sounds like they are actually store Q's. According to RA coupon policy, you can use 1 “48”, 1 “49”, AND one “5” or “9” per item. So, yes, you could stack them.

        • Lsmith3377

Yes! You can stack them. I got me some free Pantene detangler that way. I bought(2) Pantene detangers @ 2/7.00. Used (2) $1.00 off mfg. q.'s from p&g 8/1 insert and the $2.00 off any Panten from that same coupon book you have and after the $3.00 +UP's, they were both free!

I was wondering if the 10% coupon we get for reaching each level with the Wellness card can be combined with the 5 off 25 coupon?

      • Nancy

Yes, it can. But be careful when you do this because the register will deduct the 10% of the total amount automatically before you can use any of your coupons. So in order for you to use your 5/25 coupon, you will need to purchase at least $27.50 in merchandise.

    • Mharwell01

has anyone checked the price on the bic cristal pens that are b1g1 and 1 up?

      • amber

        they're 1.99

    • Emily

If anyone has a $3 Pampers Rite Aid coupon that they do not want/need, I would love it. I'd be happy to send you a great coupon in return…seesnappsave (at) yahoo (dot) com

    • Razlmz

FYI–there is a RiteAid coupon booklet that the cashiers have behind the register. If you can score one it has a $1 q for the pourex sheets. You can stack that with the $3 q from the paper to get the sheets for $1.99 plus 1 Up reward!!! So exciting!

      • Razlmz

One more thing…if you spend $20 on the purex you get a $5 SCR.

      • ChristyMy

Where is this? I went to 2 Rite Aids in Birmingham, AL and they don't know anything about the coupon books. So sad! Glad you had luck though!

        • Nancy

The coupon booklets are supposed to be a national thing. They may not have rolled it out in your area yet.

          • ChristyMy

Thanks! I'll be on the lookout for them.

        • Aminehdestin

They've been sent out, but a lot of stores haven't even opened them yet. They're supposed to be saved and handed out to people getting flu shots this year, but they sent them to *every* store and not all stores have immunizing pharmacists so those stores are lucky and get to just hand them out. My store has to save them, but they've decided to pull some for regular customers (yes, mainly couponers), or new wellness sign ups. Just ask every time you go in, eventually they have to open the box.

    • Courtney

There is also a $3 off Coppertone on the Video Values (or at least I have one-I may have printed it last month). Maybe you did too and forgot! With it, I should be able to get a good deal on some sunscreen!

    • Meme

Has there been advice as to printing the $5 off $25 Rite Aid coupon? I cannot get it to print. The little dots just keep scanning and if I change servers it just sits there saying “printing coupon”. There are some other coupons that want me to install a printer and it still won't print. This is the first time I have had trouble with this. How did others solve the problem? Helllppp! please. Meme

At McDonough, Ga store, they have mead 3 subject notebooks on clearance for $4.49. I bought 4 of the 3 subject and 4 single subject, used 4 $1.00 five star/mead coupons and the store honored the B1G1 on mead sale this week. I used $3.50 in up rewards and paid $4.23 total.

    • SPA78

Can I use a 5/25 q for the itunes car?

      • Nancy

        I believe that you can.

    • Brooke

So thrilled to find a Neutrogena Wave on clearance for $3.74 and used $3 printable and $1 off $10 skin care with Veet!!!

    • ChristyMy

Has anyone ever NOT gotten their UP rewards? What do you do? I went to Rite Aid today and got the Purex sheets, 2 Oral B Cross Action toothbrushes and 2 packs of Post-It Notes, all of which qualified for UP rewards and I had not bought any of these items with my Wellness card before. All that printed on my receipt was $1 UP when I spend $10 on oral products and $1 UP when I spend $10 on school supplies. I didn't notice this until I got home and I immediately called the 1-800 number. They told me to go back to the store. I went back this evening and talked to the Assistant Manager. He told me to call the 1-800 number and when I told him that I had and they told me to go back to the store, his response was “What am I supposed to do about it?”. Then he looked at my receipt and told me that I had used too many previous UP rewards to pay for my purchase so that is why they didn't print. Then he started looking through the ad and when we got to the picture of the Purex, I pointed it out as one of my purchases. He looked at my receipt, couldn't find the Purex (it was at the bottom) and said “You don't have the UP because you didn't buy the Purex” as if I was lying to get a free UP. I showed him where it was on the receipt. Finally he told me that the $10 off UPs were my rewards for my purchases. The oral one was for my toothbrushes and the school supplies one was for my Purex. I know this is wrong! I just left. I didn't even bother to bring up the Post-It Notes. Obviously he has no clue how the UP program works. Sorry to vent! I'm just frustrated. I have never had a bad experience at Rite Aid before. The cashiers I go to are always friendly and helpful. I guess I will call the 1-800 number again tomorrow unless someone can give me a better idea of what to do. Thanks! :)

      • Nancy

Yes, this happened to me once before when I purchased some food items that were supposed to produce UP's rewards when I bought a certain amount. The register misprinted the price of the food items and I didn't get my UP's.

I called the 800 number and customer service immediately took all of my information and sent me my rewards through the mail.

There is nothing the store can do for you about the UP's at this point. Call the 800 number back and talk to customer service. Have your receipt ready because they will ask you for all your info on the transaction. They should do this seamlessly and should not give you any problems as long as you give them all the information. You will receive your rewards in 3-4 weeks.

You were correct in this case. You should've received all of the UP's. Those other rewards are fine, but they are not a substitute for the UP's on those products. The UP's rewards program is still new and I think there are still a lot of employees who are trying to figure things out.

If somebody gets you down next time just kill 'em with kindness and then call the 800 number. They are there to make sure you are happy! :)

        Hope this helps

      • Smartblonde

Call 1800riteaid. I did this when one of my ups didn't print. They mailed me ups and the manager called me to apologize.

      • ChristyMy

Thank you both! I called the 1-800 number this morning and the customer service rep was very nice and said he'd send the UP rewards in the mail. Thanks for your help!

      • you didn't get the reward because you didn't purchase enough. The promotion was for $5 worth of product. When you add it up with the half off, it comes to …$4.98. I had something similar happen. I used my 10 percent off total purchase and it took 10 percent off each item. So my totals came to $4.75. In order for me to get the UP rewards, customer service suggested I return the items and rebuy them without using the 10 percent off.

    • Danielle

Did anyone else notice the small print on all the UP items in the ad? It said limit of one per household. Is this like the limit CVS uses? Last week I purchased several of the Old Spice items with BOGO coupons and I got my UP rewards. Is this a new policy change? Hope not!

      • Valerie

Since the August 1st ad all of the Up Rewards are supposed to be limit one per household. Their registers don't seem to do a very job enforcing this however, because sometimes people have been getting multiple ups (and often no ups at all!)

    • JLBCoupons

I found a coupon at CVS for the free Nivea Handlotion ($2.00 off) that you get when you buy any Nivea body lotion. I combined that with a $4.00 off 2 Nivea products I printed online a few weeks ago and got both for Free….!!

Where can I find the Kerasal coupon? Thanks for the heads up!

        • Nancy

The Kerasal coupon was in the latest Parade magazine, but if you can't find it you can order it at the Coupon Clippers. Go to the pharmacy category and then find footcare and you'll see it.

          • Nancy

Okay. I found the Kerasal Coupon in Smart Source 6/6. It is not in the latest Parade as I had thought this morning. I believe there is a brick's coupon as well.

I am a coupon newbie and have a question!. I found a $3.00 off coupon for Neutrogena cosmetics in my Rite Aid flyer that states it is a manufacturer's coupon and can only be used at Rite Aid. I then have have a $3.00 off manufactureres coupon for Neutrogena from Aug. All You magazine. Can I combine these two coupons to get $6.00 off?

      • Nancy

Look at the bar code numbers at the bottom of the coupon. The Rite Aid coupon should start with a “49” or a “48” (most likely a “49”). These are Rite Aid coupons and can be stacked with manufacturer's coupons. So yes, you can use both!

    • Beth

Ok, I went to Rite Aid today after Jenny posted the deal on the C. Booth products. What a trip! My plan was to purchase one of those and a Lysol No Touch kit. I went to the register with a $3 q for the Lysol and with the in ad q's for both. The cashier says to me “You are only using 1 in ad for each?” Of course I said “Well yes” She then says “We just had training last week on our new policy and we were told that you can use 2 in ad coupons on each item as well as your regular coupons”. I asked if she was sure about that and she insisted it was true. I went and got another ad and got the coupons. She scanned all 5 coupons for 2 items and I ended up paying only 7 cents!!! I got $3 in UPS back too. I repeated the transaction 3 times and got the UPS each time. So I ended up paying 21 cents out of pocket for 3 C Booth products and 3 Lysol no touch systems and left with $9 in UPS. WOW!

(dances a little jig) now i've gotta go back, again!

      • Sandy

hehe. This kindof makes me laugh because this is definitely not part of the the new Rite Aid coupon policy. It states: “No more than one “48? Rite Aid valuable coupon, one “49? Rite Aid Manufacturer coupon, and one “5? manufacturer coupon can be used on a single item.”

I guess this store is still a little confused?! Congrats on getting a good deal though. I just wouldn't expect it everytime.

    • dharvn

where do you get the riteaid booklet? Are they putting them in the stores like walgreens does?

    • Jamvibes11
