    • Valerie

WOW!!! Thank you so much for the “create a printable shopping list” Great idea… I really like it and I am sure others like it too… Good job!!!

    • Mina

Ah, Jenny, I don’t know if you actually read the wishlist I posted during the day. If you did you’ll know that I hadn’t read most of the advance ads for the week. Two of my wishes were for super sales on GoodNites and chocolate chips. Kroger has the chips covered at a decent price. (My price point on branded choc. chips is < $1.39)I can hold off on the flour for as long as it takes, since I still have a few hundred lbs of wheat that I can grind. The GoodNites deal, though, has earned the Life Saver of the Week honor from me.

I have a special needs child who uses a couple of packs a week. Decent sales on them aren’t very frequent, and great deals on them are rare. There haven’t been any deals worth going after for awhile. I held off spending my ECB’s on them tonight, in the hopes that SOMETHING would pop up for Sunday. Seriously, we’re down to less than a day’s worth.

I don’t use makeup, and air freshener doodads aren’t good for asthmatics and many other people, but my girls would be tickled w/the makeup, and the fresheners can go in appropriate gift baskets. I HOPE we have the in-ad q. The final price will vary depending on the styles in stock because the $2q is for the boxer style only, which I haven’t seen in stock at most stores lately. In the spring, they were prominently displayed everywhere for a brief time. (Ack! an unintended pun!) Then they disappeared. That means the final price could be between 96 cents and $2.97.

Now, I’m going to hope that the things I need to buy wind up being in stock at the first store I go to. Inadequate stock of sale items is the reason that I don’t often bother going to the drugstores. I don’t get any thrill out of running all over town trying to chase down a deal for anything that I don’t actually need.

Well, looks like this deal will tide us over for a short while, but I’m going to have to keep wishing for a great GoodNites deal that will allow us to stock up. The price is great compared to their regular price, but we need more than 3 days worth of *diapers*.

I’ll shut up now. I’m over-thinking this whole thing. LOL

    • Sharon

WOW, too! Jenny, you were the queen of coupons before…now I don’t tknow what to call you…the empress of coupons? This printable list thing is incredible. You rock the world!

    • obxgizzie

AWESOME Jenny!!!!! The shopping list is a sweet addition to your already fabulous site. I see it has shown up on several of the stores,
will it be added to all?
I don’t know where you find the time, but thank you for making it a lot
easier for the rest of us.

    • Another wow here- the printable shopping list is an amazing edition to an already all-around amazing site! Thanks so much Jenny!

    • Robin

In a few cases where our area didn’t get certain in ad coupons that I needed, I went to a website that has the whole Sunday ad in pdf and clipped and printed the coupon. My rite aid had no problem with it. In fact, before I figured that out I mentioned the discrepancy to a manager and she said as long as I had a copy of the ad to show her, she could match it. Jenny, I would love to hear your thoughts on this.

    • Terry

WOW!!!! This is the ultimate! I’ve just begun to copy and paste to make a list (what a pain) and now here you’ve made it all so simple. If someone cant come on your site and save money- they are crazy! You have taken all the work out of saving! THANK YOU!

    • Ginger

I love, love your site. I have told tons of friends about it w/much excitement. Now I can add the wonderful shopping list feature when I list all your sites benefits. Thanks so much for all the work you put into these posts. Have a great week.

    • Kristen

Jenny – My Rite Aid is a bit flakey about taking printable coupons. Any recommendations on which to go to? Also, in the diaper deal you speak of the AdPerk Rewards coupon says limit one per customer…Should I stick to the rules or try to use more on this purchase?

    • anton

Does rite aid double coupons under 50 cents? that would make the angel soft tp free.. I will be picking some up either way this afternoon…

    • Jenny

For people in the Atlanta area, there is a 1 coupon for suave lotion in the 8-2 RP which would make the lotion free after rebate.

Jenny thank you for this site. It is wonderful.

    • Tara

Love, love, love this awesome new feature. I’ve also been copying and pasting to make a shopping list. Your scenerious are tremendous so I would love to be able to print these on the shopping list. Thanks so much for all your work.

    • michelle

Thanks for the printable shopping list. You Rock!!!!!!!!!!

    • Julie

      Thanks for the list Jenny,
I just wanted to say that the Pull-ups scenario is a no-go here in Chesapeake,VA. I just got back and everything is higher here. The lowest price I could find on foundation was$6.59. They would not take the BOGO covergirl q because one rang up free. He did try to scan it but the register would not accept and they couldn’t override since one rang up $0.00. The Freshmatics ultras are $6.49 each. I did also use a .75/1 Suave Body wash q and my total was $9.29. I was so excited about the .96 total scenario. Darn Rite Aid!

    • Carrie

This is wonderful. Just one thing, I have tried to work out the final scenario idea (CG/Pull-UPs/Suave deal) several times and it keeps working out to $6 out of pocket. I figured it just as written, and I don’t know if I am doing something wrong or one of the coupons was left out of the list? Help?

    • Andrea

      Thanks for the printable list.

    • Sharon

I can’t get the johnsons baby care coupon. Anyone else been successful? Would love to get this deal for baby shower gift.

    • Sarah

My rite aid in upstate sc wouldn’t accept the act II popcorn ball coupons because they were over th value of the item. When I asked if the coupon could be adjusted the manager accused me of trying to defraud the company. I left without the items needless to say. Hope you have better luck.

    • Karen

Rite Aid would not let me do the cover girl deal! They said it was already B1G1 and I could not use another B1G1 coupon to make it free. Also they were very ugly to me, they said that I was getting alot for what I was paying. I told them I did not want the cover girl products.

    • I just went this morning to do the Johnson & Johnson baby deal and I was able to find bonus packs on the Shampoo, Lotion, Head to Toe body wash, and Bubble Bath. So Be on the look-out for these bonus packs to sweeten the deal even better

    • Mina

I should know better than to ever get excited over a drugstore deal. All I ended up with was a wasted gallon of gas and lost time. The deal is a bust in SC, too. No in-ad q. Air fresheners out of stock, but if they had been in, the price would have been $6.50. The only style of GoodNites they’re carrying is the briefs. The $2 MQ isn’t valid on those, only the $1 MQ. Just to top it all off, the Pull Ups and GoodNites aren’t even on sale here. They were regular high RiteAid price of $11.49. It would be less expensive per unit to buy the larger mega-pack elsewhere. They have twice as many for around $18.50. I didn’t even bother to check the price on makeup.

    • Teresa

Great Rite Aid day. Got 5 J&J baby bath, wipes and shampoo and conditioner, all for free after coupons and rebates! Thanks for all the lists, Jenny.

    • Karen

Just got back from rite aid in Thomasville. I bought:

2-air wick start kits at $6.49
      1-wet one’s $1.99
      2 CG-powdered foudation $12.99 each-BOGO
      5 JJ bath products

      I used:
      1-$5.00 off $25 or more
      2-$6.00 air wick
      1-bogo cover girl
      5-$1.00 JJ

      Spent $9.92 OOP
Will get $11.00 back in SCR!!!

    • Karen

I also fogot I uesd $1.00 off the wet ones

    • Suzanne

Love the “Create Shopping List” option! It is great!!!

    • Robyn

Yep…the Pull-Ups/Goodnites were regular price of 11.99 for me in Upstate SC and there was no in ad Q. I was able to use the Cover Girl Q’s though. So for 5.50 I got a pack of Pull-Ups, 2 CG foundations, an AirWick I-Motion and a Diet Dr. Pepper! :)

    • Sharon

How are you getting the Johnsons coupon to print???

    • Leah

I have to say that this shopping list thing makes me VERY excited…my husband laughed at me because I was so “moved” by the shopping list application :) Thanks for making saving $ so easy!!!

    • Beth

Just got a great deal on the Johnsons baby items. Also got 2 Suave shampoos and a body wash as well as 2 cover girl bases and powders. Got them all for FREE and made $2 on the transaction. I love this site! Thanks so much for helping our family save money. I also love the new printable list application. WONDERFUL!

    • anton

just got back from the rite aid

      1 wet ones
      4 air wick i-motions
      1 fresh mixer
      3 pop corn balls
      1 sunday paper
      2 cover girl foundations
2 cover girl face products (another foundation and some blush, i let my wife pick these out since i have NO clue)
      1 suave lotion

paid 3.77 out of pocket (will get $2 scr back) (89 cent subtotal, 2.88 tax) …. 95% savings before the rebates… thanks jenny for the site info!!!!

    • Sharon

The angel soft coupon in Sundays paper is for a 4roll double pack. The angel soft advertised is not a double roll 4 pack. Will the coupon still work?

    • janice

Under the Johnson’s and Johnson’s deal it says that you’ll get 29.90 in the gift of savings? What does that mean?

    • Jenny

Does mascara and eye shadow count as makeup? I have $2 loreal coupons that say fro makeup, powder, blush or concealer. I want to use them for the loreal BOGO but am not sure. I think they are considered makeup.

    • caitlin

      the printable list is awesome!!!!

    • Lynn

Rite in Vestavia (Bham) would not let me use the BOGO on CG to make it free. They do not have the airwicks on sale or the pullups—what a difference a region can make!! The manager was really nice about my inquiring and told be that they are doing Gift of savings this month and gave me the brochure.

    • Brittany

Unfortunately it is now Rite Aid policy to not accept more than $5 in internet coupons per transaction. They have it posted on a sign at the register. We broke the Johnson and Johnson purchase into 2 transactions, but that eliminated our use of the $5 off $25 :( Any tips on how to work around this?

    • julie (#14) If you call Rite Aid CS, they will tell you that the comapny’s policy is to accept a bogo coupon WITH a bogo sale, allowing you to pay only tax on both items. I would call them and go back to the store and ask for a manager. They are going against their own corporate policy by not taking your coupon.

I did four covergirl deals today and made $7 on each to apply to other things I needed!!

    • Brittany (#36) Call CS. Their policy has changed and they should be allowing all internet coupons.

    • Kimber

Great trip to Rite Aid, Mt. Pleasant SC.

They accepted all 10 coupons for Johnson and Johnson products, plus two of the shampoos had pull off coupons for an additional $2 savings. Air wicks were on sale for 6.99 and 6.49 it depended on the scent you bought. Still great deal with the $6 off coupon. I bought 4.

      Pullups were not on sale.

Angel Soft 4 pack toilet tissue .99, .50 coupon in today’s paper.

Suave body wash on sale 1.99, .50 coupon, 1 rebate

They did take 5 off 25 coupon

    • Stephenie

Does anyone know the regular price of the Kashi Cereal?

    • Julie

      Hey BrandyK #37
It was actually the store manager that tried to scan it, but would not over ride it. Maybe I will call corporate. Thank you for the heads up, I really appreciate every being so helpful. I am new to all of this and find it to be a fantastic addiction=)

    • Julie

I forgot to mention, I feel like I made good on my failed first attempt. I went back this afternoon and bought 3 Airwick Ultras and 2 Airwick i motions. Used 3 $6/1, 2 $4/1 and $5/25 Rite Aid Q. My total was 97 cents. Wahoo! (dont worry, I didnt clear the shelves=))

    • Julie- *bangshead* That drives me nuts! I have had that happen and I was oh-so-very nice and then called CS and they called the store. I went back and was able to use my coupon. :) I am pretty lucky, my store is VERY coupon friendly. :)

    • Oh and I wanted to say that the asst mgr rang up my transactions and she had to override the use of the $1/1 coupon with the bogo sales. But she did it and didn’t even blink. She’s so awesome.

    • Brandi

WAY TO GO Rite Aid in Murray, KY!! My pullups were not on sale and did not have an in ad coupon but I talked with my store manager and she said if I printed a copy of the national ad that showed the sale price and in-ad coupon (I got it from iheartriteaid.com) then she would honor it! That was going above and beyond! Maybe some of you might try the same thing??

    • Yumi

      Hi Jenny,

I am totally loving the new shopping list function!

Up until now, I have been making a list out each week on the back of an envelope for EACH store! It was extremely tedious and I was always forgetting stuff – that will no longer happen, thanks to YOU!

Thanks so much for all you do. I love the site and I probably spend about 90% of my time here.

    • Heather

Glad I am not the only one in SC completely disappointed by Rite Aide. They were very nasty to me about the Cover Girl BOGO and were out of many of the J&J items. Then to top it off I forgot my $5 off coupon. Still made out ok though with the items I did manage to pull together.

    • CYNDI

Mina #2 if you need pull ups coupons send me info I will mail you mine, I never use them and hate to throw them away, I try to find someone to pass them on to. You can email me at wvhsmom@att.net. I too have not had any luck printing the Johnson and Johnson coupons, and would really love to have them. I will try to find the sunday rp online. Unfortunately our rp insert did not have that coupon (drat!). Oh well, going to rite aid this morning hoping they are not wiped out yet!! Thanks Jenny for all you do!!

    • ASW

Jenny, Thanks so much for the shopping list! Huge time saver!!!! Keep up the great work!

    • Elizabeth

      Hi Jenny:

I love this shopping list feature! I’m wondering if there’s a way to get the deal ideas included in the shopping list so I can remember why and how to buy the stuff on my shopping list. Maybe you already thought of that, though! Thanks so much for everything you do to make your site so wonderful!

    • Tracie

      BrandyK #37:

How did you make $7 on the Cover Girl BOGO deal?

    • Janice #32 – The gift of savings is mentioned at the very top. It’s Right aid’s promo of gift card back. By buying 10 Johnson’s items, you’ll rack up $29.90 towards your total spent during the promotion timeline. So even if you buy nothing else during the timeframe, you’ll still have earned $5 back on top of getting 10 items for free.

    • A variation on the Pull-ups deal, if your store is out of Air Wick:

      (5) Johnson’s baby items at $2.99 ea
      (1) Pull Ups/GoodNites $8.99
      (1) Suave Body Wash $1.99 ea

      -$5 off $25
      (5) -$1 off Johnsons printables or from inserts
-$2 off Pull Ups/GoodNites in ad coupon
-$2 off Pull Ups printable or GoodNites coupon
      Total Due: $11.93 plus tax
Get Back: $10 rebate on Johnsons + $1 rebate on Suave, makes it $.93 plus tax for all
Also earn $25.93 towards the Gift of Savings

    • janice

Thanks Christina for answering my question about the gift of savings. Does rite aid keep track of that when you go online and claim your rebates?

    • I hope so. I don’t see anywhere to add the receipts for that, so I’m guessing that as long as you enter your receipts in the SCR database, they’ll be tracked. But, this promo runs from the middle of one SCR month to the middle of the next. Does anyone know for certain?

    • Christie

Jenny, love, love, LOVE the create the shopping list feature! You are awesome…thank you!!

    • Stacy

Just got back from Rite Aid in Atlanta. They were out of Kashi Heart to Heart cereal and Wet Ones.

      Here’s how I did:
      5 Johnson’s Baby Wash (2.99 each, 14.95 total)
      1 AirWick kit (6.99)
1 Phisoderm face wash (3.99) (not on Jenny’s list but I needed it for myself and to get to $25)
      -(5) $1 Johnson baby wash
      -$6 Airwick
      -$5/$25 Rite Aid coupon

      Subtotal before taxes: $9.93
I will get back $10 in rebates from the Johnson’s products.
      Net profit: $0.07!!!

    • hilary

does anyone know if the j&j rebate has a limit? can i go back and do it a second time???

    • hilary

answered my own question. limit 1 :(

    • Sarah

I just got back from RA in Chas, SC, attempting to do the CG deal, along with many others, and the manager (who was extremely rude to me) would not accept my coupon (B1G1 free or $1). I have contacted corporate and am awaiting a phone call from the district manager. I’ll keep you posted, but hopefully something will come of this so that we can all use the coupon this week.

    • I just got back from Rite Aid and tried using my coupon for $6 off Air Wick Freshmatic Ultra I-Motion. They are %0% off bringing them to $5.99 including tax. My coupon would not scan because she said you can’t use a coupon on something that is less than the coupon. I’m a little confused because i thought that’s how you get things free. I got the idea from the Rite Aid link on Southern Savers. Could someone help me with this since i’m new to this? Thanks

    • Oops..i meant 50% off for the previous comment :)

    • Ann

I emailed customer service so I could have in writing Rite Aid’s coupon policy. I was told that you can use BOGO coupons on BOGO sales. I bought some yesterday without a problem, but I had my email with me just in case.

    • Jen

I did the 10 Johnson & Johnson products, Cover Girl (x2), and Angel Soft (x2) today. I spent $13.01 OOP! I will get 15 SCR back from the J&J. AWESOME! (by the way, the store wouldn’t take the -$1/1 CG)

One question for you. My total was about $52.00 before coupons. Will I get credit for the $52.00 or only the $13.00 OOP for the Gift of Savings Promotion? Thanks for all of your hard work!!

    • Damien

Are the Johnsons Baby Products on sale this week, or is this just a listing of the month long SCR listing that Riteaid happens to be advertizing special this week? I was planning on buying the Johnsons stuff next week when I get the Huggies, but if they are going to be more expensive next week, then perhaps I should get them this week.

Oh and many kudos for the new high-tech shopping list… it’s pretty awesome!

    • Wendy

      I love couponing!

    • stephanie

Hey I just got my scr from last month. I thought we were suppost to get a gift card for doing the johnson & johnson gift card for $25. Instead they sent me a 33 scr check. Has anyone else had that happen to them. How am I suppose to spend $33 dollars? If I dont will I lose the money or will they give me cash back?

      • Jenny

It is really a check so take it the bank and enjoy the cash anywhere you like :)

    • Jenny,
I live in Hartsville, SC. My RiteAid does not have the Airwick Ultra Freshmatics on sale…….but the CVS has the minis for $4.99, still makes them .99 cents, I really wanted the free ones though, don’t even have the .99 cents to buy any this week, but I do still have a cabinet full of them anyway, but you know the ‘STOCKPILE’ thing…….I’m addicted! Do you think they were just not on sale ecause of were I live? , or what? Cause there has never been anything you have showed us that is on sale at any store that hasn’t really been on sale, it always is correct and right on the money……By the way you are magnificent, it is mind draining just doing my end of the deals, and somewhat frustrating at times, so I coud only imagine what kind of coffee you drink and headache medicine you have to take…LOL…thanks so much sweetie for everything you do! Just wondering what you thought about the Riteaid thing….thanks, love and prayers!

    • Debbie

Had my first *Bad* Rite Aid run-in this morning, but turned out alright – went to a different store than usual, planning to go to 2 separate stores today to use 2 different save $5 off of $25 coupons… – first store (the new one) – the lady wanted to apply the $5 off of $25 AFTER my Johnson and Johnson coupons… since the total was under $25 after those coupons, she wouldn’t take it off, said I had to buy more. Said she’d called corporate about it before. So, the Rite Aid on (I think it’s North Tennessee Blvd? Closest one to MTSU) is off the old “list ‘o places to shop” – but the rest of them – rock on!

    • Debbie

Oops – forgot to say in post 65 above that I just got all my coupons back and went to another store and did the deal as I’d planned…

    • Hi gals,

I have all my coupons ready for the diaper deal next week and had the manager special order diapers for girls in our thrifty club that want to get them and I don’t think that all of them printed their $3 coupon before it went off coupons.com. So the manager will be stuck with all those diapers if they didn’t and it will all be one me. So…if anyone knows of anywhere else I can get these girls their $3 pure and natural coupons please let me know.

    • Jenny, It’s probably too early to tell, but do you think there is any chance of those pure and natural coupons showing up in an insert this Sunday?

    • Jennifer

I just went to rite aid to do the johnson deal. They were out of almost everything so instead of buying 10 and using 10 coupons i decided to just go with 5 products out of which 4 were on sale. I had two $1.00 coupons from the paper one $1.00 off from the website and one $2.00 off two products from the bedtime bath line. This would have been $5.00 my total purchase. The cashier rang everything up and then started scanning my coupons. The two coupons from the paper scanned just fine but the internet coupons would not scan. The cashier started to input them manually. The $2.00 coupon went through just fine but the $1.00 coupon would not go through. She called the manager over and the manager told me that I couldn’t use more than one internet coupon per transaction. I told her that is not what the corporate policy said but she wouldn’t override the coupon. Anyone else having this problem?

    • Bobbie

Could someone please tell me how to get the Rite Aid $5. coupon. When I go to the site and print coupon it is for the pharmacy and they will not let me use it on merchandise? Any help would be appreciated.

    • laura

My Rite Aid ad doesn’t have the AirWick on sale. Is this for a different zip? Mine is 29625….

    • Tracie

      Stacy #57:

Can you please tell me what Atlanta store you shop at? The one that I go to requires that the total after coupons be $25 in order to use the $5 off $25 coupon.

    • Tracie- #51, I bought 4 Covergirl items, used two bogo q’s with the bogo sale (making them both free), then two $1/1 q’s and a $5/20 RAq. That gave me $7 in overage to buy other stuff. :) You can click my name to see my blog- I have it detailed.

    • For the Gift of Savings promotion- the last time they did it, it just totals all the receipts you enter into the system. There was a separate page for it the last time around- it didn’t show up on the regular scr page, but you only had to enter each receipt once.

    • Tracie

Is is the total after coupons?

    • Stacy

Tracie #77 – I shop at the Rite Aid on Cumberland Parkway in Vinings and the one on Roswell Rd in Marietta. Both stores let me use the $5/$25 coupon before any other coupons are scanned. (Yesterday my subtotal was $26.xx, she took $5 off first, and then took off the $6 and $1 coupons after that.)

    • Jen

Thanks for the info! I’m still confused as to the “total” that they count for the reward. Is it the total before coupons or the actual total that you paid?

    • anton

I just checked my rebate statues online, and they count the total before coupons for the fall gift of savings program!!!!
so getting that 20 dollar gift card is really easy… i have spent 27 dollars after coupons and have more than qualified for it, and will be getting back 17 dollars in scr as well, so really they have paid me 10 dollars to get over 150 dollars worth of stuff

    • Cherie

I don’t know if you know this already. But I tried to do a rebate at Rite Aid that was if you spend $30 you get a $10 gift card. I spent way over $30 but then used manufactorers coupons that got the price below 30. They will not give me the rebate check saying I did not spend over 30….I thought it counted before coupons….

    • stephanie

I had an awesome day at riteaid. Usually they are such a pain. I got 5 johnson and johnson products. 1 thermacare,1 sally hanson nail polish remover, 1 nail polsh. I spent 2.72. I get the glamcamp bag, 5 rebate for thermacare since I had purchased when b1g1. I get another 10 rebate for the johnson and johnson. They didnt have the airwick i motions so I got rain check. I love saving money. My husband and mom always think I’m crazy when I tell them everything I got. They say if you didnt buy it you would have saved more. I tell them i buy stuff I need I dont just buy whatever. Right now I’m stock piling toothpaste, first aid kits and toothbrushes and when they have the operation christmas box I’m putting them in there. It makes me feel so good that I saved money and am helping others.

    • Elisha

I cant find the scrubbing bubbles Q. It just goes to the shower cleaner ad

    • Elisha

Oh and do you need any fillers like wags?

    • C

i can’t stand rite aid…the cashier was the rudest ever…accusing me of coupon fraud on the cg bogo…i immediately called corporate even before i left the store and filed a complaint. i’m in upstate sc, it was the rite aid on old spartanburg rd…the cashier said “i’m not giving you 2 items free that’s called coupon fraud”

    • lisa

anyone else having a problem with the $5/25 printing? I have printed it and now it says that print limit reached? Help

    • kj

The airwick is not on sale in Nashville :(

    • Amanda

There are $3/2 coupons at Publix in an in-store dispenser. You can make money if you use 5 of those. :)

    • Beryl

Did anyone notice that the SCR rebate is for “Regular Priced” items? Here’s how the rebate reads. I would love to do this, but spending $4.19-$5.99 per item is not really going to make the deal work. What am I missing?

Info copied off single check rebate website:

    • Lisa, have you already printed 2 from the same computer? You are only allowed 2 of the same printable coupons from one computer. If you want more you need to use a different computer.

    • holly

Beryl- the J & J products in the rebate are on sale this week at 2.99 each.
How do you get or where do you find the gift of savings Promo? It is not listed on the rebate site and I already entered my receipts and it didn’t say I qualified for anything like that. It just said I qualified for $15 back for J & J.

Anyone know how that works? Is it only any select areas? I’m in Ohio.

      • Jenny

It is for the whole country. It will start to show you a tally after a little but. It runs through the next two months so it might take a bit to show up.

    • Elisha

My rite aid was a bust no airfresheners left and only 2 bottles of qualfying baby soap left :( you would think with a sale they would order extra. It was only tuesday

    • holly

Thanks Jenny! You are great. I’m not sure how you keep up with everyone’s questions.

    • Anybody have problems with the qualifying J&J products? I bought five, one of which was the 9 oz. foaming head-to-toe wash (yellow bottle), reg. price of $5.29. My receipt has been processed, and that item is not showing up as qualifying. The other four are. It doesn’t have a “BBY” in the description like the others, which is the only difference I can see. But I would argue that it is a baby item just like any of the others – it’s just a foaming version of their traditional wash. Has anyone else bought that product? Or does anyone know how to dispute the qualification? I tried clicking through their links, but I always ended up back at the list of rebates, which I interpret to include this item. (Plus, I’m pretty sure it was flagged as a rebate item at my store, but I haven’t returned to the store to verify.)

    • Stacy

Christina – I was just coming to post the same exact issue. I bought five Johnson baby wash items, two of which were the foaming wash. I only received $5 in rebates instead of $10. I just emailed Rite Aid and asked why I didn’t qualify for $10 and asked them to readjust my rebate amount. If I don’t hear back, I will return the two foaming washes and buy two more other washes. Annoying!!!

    • Patti

Question… I am new at this whole drug store couponing thing.. But OMG… I am loving all the savings! I went to Rite-Aid this morning and purchsed the 10 Johnson and Johnson products that were on sale and used the appropriate coupons and got the $15 SCR(once I entered the info on line)… My question is.. I know 3 ladies that are pregnant and I am putting together a “bath time basket” for each. Therefore, I would like to go back and purchase 10 more J&J products, will I get the SCR a second time? Also, Jenny you are THE BEST!!! I have learned so much in the last month from you that I am actually allowed to go to the store WITHOUT kids now, without hubby thinking I am spending a fortune.. (with kids I’m in and out the store in no time) CAN”T WAIT TILL HUGGIES DEAL!!

    • Suzie

I just realized that the Johnson deal is kind of wack. Usually the more you buy the better the deal. But as the senario goes:
      -$5 SCR #43 wyb (3)
      -$10 SCR wyb (5)
      -$15 SCR wyb (10)

I was at first under the impression if you purchased 10 you would get $20, since you get $10 when you purchase 5. Just thought it was weird.

    • Bobbie

Britany #36. Do you have someone else in your family that would do one of the rebates for you? Then you would get $10.00 back on each rebate. My daughter will do this for me since she doesn’t fool with the rebates and gets most of my stuff anyway but I didn’t think of splitting them today which I would have been better off. Still $4.59 which included the tax is pretty good for 10 J&J baby products.

Stacy & Christina, I just purchased mine today and will see what they allow in a couple of days when the transaction goes thru. If it doesn’t qualify I will return it for a refund. All my items were the sale items for $2.99 and tried to get just the things listed in the ad. Like lotion, wash etal.

    • Bobbie

Also Christina, when you enter you rebates there’s a place at the bottom that says contact us. You can put all your info there and email it to them.

    • Laura

Charlotte NC – no problem on the Cover Girl and I had two coupons. The assistant manager rang me up and said, “Your total is….ummm….here is your bag, have a nice day!”. Not a penny spent – got the $9.99 make – $40 FREE! Thanks! Love, love, love this site.

    • Debbie

#s 98 and 99 above – I encountered the same problem with the very same item (the 9 oz foaming wash). My guess is – this is an error in their system, and the more people that politely contact them about it the faster they’ll get it fixed. I sent them a message myself just now, so that’s one more note they’ll have about the subject…

This has happened in the past on another rebate and they had it corrected within a couple of days for me – hopefully we’ll all have the same great experience this time also!

    • Georgia

has anyone in Nashville had any problems with Rite Aid not having any of the listed item on sale?

    • Sheila

Jenny, it would be great if you would put the little click box by your deal scenarios. That way when we print our shopping list we could also on the same page print the deal ideas that we are going after. Just an idea. Thanks for all the work you put into this and I am loving the whole shopping list addition.

    • Stacy

Update on the J&J rebate issues. After emailing them (see post #99), they have changed my rebate from $5 to $10. I agree with Debbie #105 that the foaming wash was probably mistakenly not listed in their system as qualifying for the rebate, but now they are correcting the error. I am not sure if they are correcting it for everyone or just those who send an email. If you should have received $10 but only got $5, contact them and they’ll fix it.

    • Thanks, Stacy and Bobbie. I contacted them after Stacy’s comment at #99, so hopefully it’ll be fixed soon for me.

Suzie #101, I thought the same thing about how strange it is that they aren’t encouraging you to buy the full 10 items–you’re only getting back $1.50 per item there, as opposed to $2 per item when purchasing 5. My scenario worked with only purchasing 5, so I went that route. They’ll all be gifted away anyway . . . my son has dry skin and only the Aveeno wash and lotion keep it from drying out.

    • Laura

Hi everyone, Just wanted to let others know that the Fall Rebate is awesome. They calculate the cost of each product for the rebate not the total of the receipt minus coupons. Yeah! I thought I was around 38.00 and I am at 80.13 on the website… Looks like one more trip for me and I will qualify for the $20.00. Yeah Again!

    • Amanda

Looks like they fixed the foaming wash issue my rebate was correct w/o me sending an email

    • Hmmm, I received a rejection to my e-mail about the foaming wash. The response said the item does not show up as being associated with a rebate. Guess I’m faxing a boatload of reference in an attempt to prove my point. Geeze, this is the first time I’ve encountered trouble with their progam. What a headache!

    • Jennifer

I have had the same problem with that Rite Aid and the one on Batesville Rd. in Greer. I am sticking with CVS…I hate I am missing all these awesome deals though!!!

    • Loren

Mina – I have some coupons for GoodNites but I never use those. I can mail them to you if you’d like. My email address is lorengidens@hotmail.com Just email me your mailing address and I’ll send them.

Does anyone know of any website for coupon trading? I have two in diapers so I use all the diaper coupons I can get my hands on, but there are also lots of other coupons that I don’t use that I wouldn’t mind trading to someone for diaper coupons. Any ideas???

    • Kristen

Rite Aid at Two Notch and Flora in Columbia has Air wicks at 6.99, Pullups at 11.99 and won’t accept the BOGO coupon for the cover girl since they are already on sale! Bummer!

    • Loren, the Baby Cheapskate blog has a coupon traders section. http://babycheapskate.blogspot.com/

Though, you might find that a lot of moms need the same ones you need. :) Maybe worth a shot.

    • Gail

Can someone explain to me how to get the $10 Rite Aid gift card if you buy Tampax Pearl w/leak guard? There was a sign at the Rite Aid today posted over the Tampax Pearls but when I asked about it the cashier told me she did not know how to do it – it was in the Sept. issue of the Fitness magazine. Do I need to buy the magazine to get the gift card?

I found a preview of the Fitness magazine on line with other products you can buy to get the gift card and it states look below to see how to do but there is nothing that tells me how.

    • Scott

I can’t seem to find the “-$5/25” printable coupon for the first deal at the top. Is it still available?

    • Debbie

      Follow up to post 105:

They e-mailed this morning about 12 hours after I sent in my notice that it had been corrected (I checked online and it has!) – hope everyone else has same pleasant experience.

    • Jill

      **BAD** Rite-Aid Update!

I just went to the Rite-Aid in North Raleigh, NC. They wouldn’t take ANY of my coupons! They said that “CORPORATE” had sent out a fax last week saying that absolutely NO coupons on items that are already on sale! (By the way- the man said that was the case at ALL Rite-Aids- obviously, that’s a LIE from your alls comments!) SOOOO………….. I am taking what items I did buy back tomorrow for a refund and I am filing a formal complaint. I’ll shop at Walgreens and CVS who WILL take my coupons. I just don’t understand. The manufacturers don’t care if you’re having a sale; they’re going to reimburse you anyways. I think Rite-Aid must be having cash flow problems and they just can’t wait on the manufacturers to reimburse them. There, I’m off my soapbox- for now.

    • LaTasha Ashford (Raleigh, NC)

If anyone is looking for the Air Wick Freshmatic Ultra Air Freshener $5.99 ea…try Harris Teeter. They are on sale there for BOGO at $13.19. Use two $6 off coupons make them 59 cents each before tax. Be sure to get a rain check if they are out.

    • Anna

Hey where is the printable 5/25 Rite Aid Coupon? Everytime i colick on the printable link it takes me to Coupons.com, and i dont see it listed…am i doign soemthing wrong? thanks!

    • Bobbie

I just checked online and all 10 of my J&J products qualified for the $15.00 rebate.

    • Jill

      # 121 – Thanks a bundle LaTasha! I’ll do that!

    • Heather

How do you get the $5 off $25 coupon to print…or where is it. It keeps pulling up coupons.com!!!

    • Carrie

I went to Rite-Aid in Easley, SC last night and got two cover girl eye make up (BOGO) and used a coupon for $2.50 off 2. I paid .99 cents for two eye make up. Also bought a pack of gum. Paid $2.47. GREAT DEAL. They were sold out of Air Wick though.. oh well.. I will get it the next time they come around…

    • Holly, Sorry if someone has already answered this. Go into the Rite Aid Single Check Rebates screen and the Fall Gift of Savings is on a blue square on the left. Click on there and your total will show up after you enter in your receipts and wait for a few days.

I am reading that a lot of people are disappointed because shelves are cleared. Try going to your manager if you know there is a good item you want to stockpile on. Ask them if they can do an order for you and some friends.

On that same note, I went this morning at 8 a.m. to our Rite Aid and our manager had done a special order of the Huggies Pure and Natural Diapers for the sale next week. (Had them in his office with our names on them! We had 6 girls that are doing the deal.) California sales run Friday-Thursday so 4 of us did the deal this morning. It went off without a hitch. They accepted 2 Huggies Rite Aid coupons in each transaction. I did mine a little different than Jennys scenario just because if you split your transactions into 2 you can get a 4th pack for $1 also. Even though you only need 3 for the rebate why not get a fourth for a dollar also.

      I did this:

2 Huggies Pure and Natural $22
      (1) $5 off $20
      (2) $3 Huggies coupons
      (2) $2 Rite Aid Huggies coupons
      Pay $7.00 Subtotal + CA tax = $8.93

      With Tax I paid $17.86
      Submit for $10 rebate
      4 packs for $1.96 each

I got 10 packs so I will submit another rebate to my mom’s address in her name.

    • Gail

On the fall gift savings do I have to enter my receipts for the single check rebate and also enter my receipts for the fall gift savings or does it calulate the amount you will get on your fall gift savings certifcate when you enter on the single check rebate?
      Dazed & confused!!!!

Also how to you know what products count for the fall gift savings?

    • Gail,

You only have to enter them one time into your SCR account. After it is approved you will see the total towards the Fall gift of savings in the SCR screen on the right under the title “Fall gift of savings.” I only know this because I was confused and called customer service :) Everything I bought qualified and your total is before coupons and gift cards. I have $94 towards it and I have only spent $6 out of pocket. I think that any purchase you make counts towards it, but I am not 100% sure on that.

    • Gail

      Thanks Amber for the info.

    • Gail

Jenny – do you know anything about the $10 Rite Aid gift card in the September issue of the Fitness magazine?

    • Angel R.

      Christina #112 –
I got the same rejection email in response to my question about why the foaming wash I bought didn’t count towards the rebate. Wonder why we were singled out for rejection and everyone else got a fix? I think I may try resubmitting the request again. From the description online and in the SCR booklet, the foaming wash does qualify!

    • Stacey

first of all Jenny, let me say a huge THANK YOU for your site. you are truly awesome at this and i love checking your site daily!!!

i had the best trip to Rite Aid today…I got

5 bottles of Johnson and Johnson Baby soap and shampoo
1 bottle of Tide Stain Release
      1 tube of Destin
      1 box of Playtex

      Out of pocket $15.04
      I will get a SCR for $10
And with the Gift of Savings a $5 gift card

so in the end i will pay a whole .04c for all this…i feel like i stole everything that i got…THANKS AGAIN!!!!

    • Miriam

Anybody know where the 5 off 25 coupon is? I can’t find it on coupons.com!

    • Gail

      Ann #63
Is there anyway you can e-mail me the email you got from Rite Aid on the bogo free policy?

The manager of one of the Rite Aid stores here did not want to do the Cover Girl deal. She kept telling me I am getting them for free what did I buy and I told her she would be reimbused from the manf. that the coupons came from. Finally she said ok but she was going to let corporate know. I didn’t say anything – just finished the transaction and left.
      My email is gcopeland_27@msn.com Thanks

    • Gail

Ann, There is a underscore in my email address between the d and the 27. You can’t see it on the post.

    • Sarah Beth

I think Rite Aid is the devil. I had the same problem that everyone else had with the Covergirl. I guess I should read everyone’s posts before shopping. I ended up returning the items plus I returned the Scrubbing Bubbles because they had put the sale price on the wrong item and charged me the regular price. When I got home and looked at my sales reciept, they had cheated me out of .54 cents for the makeup. Not a happy camper. But Jenny thank you so much for your site. IT is VERY useful.

    • Tracie

Sarah Beth- I’m with you. I have been to 3 different Rite Aid stores. Noone of them would they not let me use the Cover Girl BOGO coupon and also they would not let me use the $5 off $25 on the Air Wick, even tought it was not giving me cash back. It’s way too hard to shop at Rite Aid and then you start a whole new battle with the SCR process.

    • Jennifer

I agree with you Tracie and Sarah Beth – Rite Aid makes things way too difficult. I tried separating my transactions with the same cashier (because they were only running one register). He would only let me use 1 $5/$25 Q, and then refused to sell me 4 Air Wicks. I called corporate and they told me it was completely the store’s discretion. I wasn’t in there trying to buy 20; I had 4 coupons, I have more than 4 rooms in my house where I could use them so I was just trying to buy 4. Very frustrating; CVS has Walgreens and Rite Aid beat in customer service by a LOT!

    • Angel R.

I had a wonderful RiteAid experience today. Bought 10 CoverGirl items and paid just $2.47 in tax (had 5 BOGO coupons). Sweet! I checked with the manager prior to shopping to see if they had any restrictions or limits on “free” items, and luckily she said no. Sorry so many others have had issues using a BOGO coupon on a BOGO offer. It was a great deal!
