I’ve had chronic back pain for as long as I can remember and I’m not sure whether its the weather or all the holiday craziness that makes it worse this time of year.  Between carrying the kids and gifts, sitting down to do my wrapping and standing for extended periods baking in the kitchen, I get pretty exhausted by the end of the holiday season.  Taking a break isn’t always an option, so I turned to Salonpas Pain Relief Patches for my aches.  Its a convenient over-the-counter patch that you put on the affected area while you go about your day.  Side effects are minimized and pain relief is efficiently directed right where you need it.

If you haven’t already, you can request free samples on the Salonpas Facebook page (Tip: They’ll also send you great coupons too!!).

This giveaway was sponsored by Salonpas and we received a gift pack with a digital photo frame, shopping bag and samples to review.  All opinions are 100% my own.

Salonpas “Shop til You Drop” Giveaway

Leave a Comment below about how you de-stress from the craziness of holiday shopping!

I’ll pick a winner Monday morning 12/20.

    • Sweetk3346

I de-stress everyday by logging onto Southernsavers.com. Even if I only have a few minutes to check out the deals, it makes me feel better about money and stay within my monthly budget. Tahnk you for everything you do Jenny!

    • Kennemere

I de-stress by trying to shop at “off” times from everyone else…and I take my husband along which somehow helps me relax. He's good about it too! :)

    • debbie

      I destress by shopping.

    • I come in go straight for the cocoa and run upstairs as fast as I can and lock myself in my room. The hubby and kids think I'm hiding all the goodies!! LOL. But, the cocoa does it for me everytime!!

    • Kfrog

Actually I play video games with the kids. It forces me to sit down, laugh and take a breather.

    • Cmsoliday

Making a list and checking it twice!

    • Ashleyscoupons73

A glass of wine and a good Christmas movie after shopping is a good destresser.

    • KimB

I destress by taking a long nap!

    • Loving Life

My holiday stress seems self induced, I always think the gift isn't good enough or I need to cook more. I de-stressed this year by looking at everything and knowing it is good enough, even if it isn't perfect.

    • Shawnfullcircle

Trying to fit in any rest I can get. Anytme.

    • jen c

I de-stress by watching a Christmas movie while wrapping presents.

    • Paula C

I de-stress with a cup of hot tea and a little tv. If that doesn't do it, then I focus on the two happy little faces I know I'll see Christmas morning when they come to find what Santa has left for them!

    • mmmdraco

I destress by coming home and enjoying the little extras I get while holiday shopping like the white chocolate hot cocoa I'll grab from Dunkin' Donuts on the way home from a really successful trip, or a bubble bath using a freebie from Bath and Body works, or I'll even just enjoy some cuddle time with my husband, cat and 2 month-old while watching something on Netflix's Instant Watch.

Thanks for mentioning this product. I'm also someone with chronic pain (my right shoulder has severe bursitis and my left ankle has severe arthritis thanks to a bad break) and some days, pain killers just don't cut it. I've done physical therapy for both, and it was hardly any help. This type of thing and strong doses of Advil or Aleve are all that helps enough to make a difference. I'm still not sure how I made it through my pregnancy when all I could take was Tylenol.

    • Jesstopher

I love a nice hot bubble bath and a glass of wine. Nothing is more relaxing for me!

    • Kiley

I de-stress by taking a LONG hot bath with the door locked!!! It is my reward for doing all the shopping. I know at the end of the day it was all worth it. My kids are always extremely appreciative. :)

    • Brandi

hot cocoa with christmas music or a movie

    • meme

I also rely on topical solutions for back pain, taking meds only as a last resort. I bought the Salonpas when it was on sale awhile back. I think it is one of the most effective pain relievers. I can always use the coupons for future purchases. Thanks for the opportunity.

    • Michelle

I've done almost all of my Christmas shopping online this year. I'm a homeschooling mom of 4 little ones (2, 4, 6, and 8), so I can't get out much. I've found some amazing online deals, and I've earned lots of cash back on ebates and shopathome. It's been so fun, and I think I'm addicted to shopping online! I don't need to de-stress from Christmas shopping this year….I just need to stop! :)

    • Peacechic71

I am a quadriplegic and I’ve learned to do the fun things I use to, but, in slower pace. How ever, SHOPPING is the #1 thing I love to do. Every Christmas, I dreaded getting my gifts bought. When my caregiver is having to push my chair –compared to a double stroller/but much wider– through 50 customers an isle, it is terrible.
So, this year, I went to ebates.com to see all the deal I could get. All in all, I shopped while relaxed in bed, eating grapes and bought every single gift/ some for me LOL. The best part is I GOT 89.00 from ebates for doing it. COOL HUH?

    • Becky Cruz

      I have two words…HOT BATH!!!

    • Sgaddes

      Chocolate! Chocolate! and more Chocolate!

De-stress….what's that? Seriously though, I have done most of my shopping online this year, plus we keep gift giving simple. Thanks to all the online deals you've posted, Christmas isn't half as stressful as it could be. Chocolate chip cookies after kids are in bed help too! :-)

I am on daily pain medication for my back, but I am going to try these pain relief patches ~ I would love to find something that would help me cut back on the meds or totally stop them! Back pain definitely dampers some of the joy of Christmas!
