staples multipurpose paper

I often get e-mails asking how to print coupons for less. The biggest way is to reduce the cost of paper. The coupon is good for B1G1 Staples multipurpose paper case and  is good through 7/31.

A case is $48.99 and includes 5,000 sheets of paper.  The coupon makes it $24.49 each, or about 1/2 penny for each sheet!

Now I’m off to find deals on ink…

(thanks, Mike!)

The weekly ad in newnan also has a 10 ream case of copy paper (5000 sheets) on sale this week for 9.99 after rewards. You pay $35.99 and get $26 back in staple rewards making it $10!!!!

      • Leigh Varnedore

        no coupon required:)

    • Mounit98

Yes deals on HP ink would be GREAT!!! I need some badly but cant afford it right now =(

      • Jessa

We got our cartridge filled at Cartridge World for about 6 bucks.

    • I hope to find a deal on a printer! Mine bit the dust a few days ago so no printable coupons for me for awhile.

      • Rita

I got a great printer for free on Craigslist !

        • Smamf1922

Wonderful!!!  It's amazing what is available here.

      • KK

Target has coupons on their website for $10 off a Kodak wireless all-in-one printer (models EPS2150 or C310) that expire on 08/13/11. If you state does no sales tax weekends like many do in Alabama (on Aug 5-7), you make can get a pretty good deal then.

office depot is running their case of paper at 20.00 off this week making it 23.00

Another way is to switch to a Kodak printer. They're relatively inexpensive, but the ink cost is amazing. A two pack of black ink is something like $9 at Walmart, and they're all the same “number” so no need to remember that you're a 23/45 or something, it's just BLACK or COLOR or PHOTO COLOR or something like that. If my printer goes out, that's my plan. Some of the Kodak printers are also Bluetooth enabled, so it'll be even easier to print from laptops.

I fell for the ploy of cheaper ink for Kodak printer and am looking now to replace it. I have to replace the black and color ink at least once a month and I really do not print much. The most annoying thing is that it will not let you print in color if you're out of black ink or black if you're out of color ink. If the only reason you want a Kodak printer is cheaper ink, get something else. Yes, the ink is cheaper but it also contains less ink that its competitors so there is little to no savings.

        • Mrandmrsholland09

I just bought the Kodak printer for the cheaper ink and found the same problem.  When the black OR color is out – neither will print.

          • Sidney

My Kodak used to jam all the time. I GAVE it away. And yes, the ink cartridge is smaller, probably 2.5 times smaller than a normal cartridge, that's why it's cheaper. I must say, Kodak did a great job fooling the public with that stunt! I wonder if they do the same as groceries stores on the price tag. Show you the price per ounce. I bet if they do and you compare it, you will actually be paying more for the Kodak cartridge. If they don't, do the math yourself.

        • Smamf1922

mine is 1750 Kodak and it will print blk when color is out.

Gotta weigh in on this one…bought the Brother black laser printer with built in wireless and duplexing for under $100…LOVE IT!  It's the one Jenny uses, I'm pretty sure, and she always posts the deals when they go on sale.  I can sit on the couch downstairs and watch TV while hunting down coupons, send them off to my printer and pick them up later…AWESOME!  I used to have to replace my color inkjet cartridges all the time and they never scanned right.  With this one, I NEVER have a problem!

      • Smamf1922

TRUE!  Plus I got my Kodak printer FREE when Best Buy had the deal to bring in an old printer and get the free one.  This was back in May.  Then when I got it home it had a problem and Kodak replaced the 1250 printer w/ a 1750 printer.  They sent me a Fed Ex shipping label and returned it free.  I could NOT believe all of it was FREE!!!!

    • Amyherrington

I refill my own ink cartridges and it is super simple!! You can do it like 5-6 times before having to replace them.

      • Dusty816

        how do you do that???

        • Bet5hel

Staples has a ink-refill cartrigdge for the various printers. I brought one for 19.99 it came with 3 bottles of black ink and the syringe for ink and instructions.  Amyherrignton is right it took about 5 minutes and so far I have still have use only 3/4 of the 1 bottle.

          • Diann

Can you tell me the name of the company that makes the kit?  I'm very interested.  Just ran out of ink this morning.

    • Ddavis2680

I have tried over and over to print this qpon and can't.  Any suggestions?

    • Mrandmrsholland09

I would like to find an old printer that just does black ink.  The coupons that print automaticlly are always in color and I think it is a waste of color ink.

      • Bet5hel

Go to Control Panel, select your default printer, then select Printing Preferences, under that select the tab that says Color, you should have three options, select the one that says Black Print Cartridge Only. Select Apply and then exit out. It should print in Black Only regardless of the coupon if it has color. Hope this helps.

Jenny has some articles on the Brother HL-2240 Laser Printer.  If you type 'Brother' in the search box at the top of this page, she posted some great information on this particular printer.  It uses toner instead of individual cartridges which for me seems to last a lot longer.  One other note, change your printer settings to 'Printer Save Mode' and your toner will last longer.

I personally use this printer at home and we also use it at our office.  You can always find great deals for this printer at Office Max and Office Depot.

      • Sara

You should be able to set the printer to printing in Gray scale, and that should take care of the wasting colored ink issue.

      • Xpedrosa

Go to Goodwill, we have found used HP laser printers there at a fraction of the price. Laser toner cartridges last forever and then you can refill those empty cartridges at many retailers, including Cartridge World.

      • Svr30096

Why don't you just change your settings for your printer? That's what I did, but I found that I am buying black ink more often than I use to when I printed in color. You win some you lose some.

    • Wonderfuldesigns

I use the back side of paper that is already printed on and dont have any problems.  I also have a Lexmark Pinnacle Pro910 printer and the black ink cartridges are only $5!

    • Mogatoret

Went today and found a case of copy paper in the red box for $35.99 per box with a $26 reward due in August and limit of 2.  That makes is $9.99 per box!
