Has anyone ever tried this product? We are kinda toliet paper snobs and prefer only soft and plushy for our bottoms. Didn't want to order it if it feels like sandpaper!

      • Erin

If you are a snob, you will not like this. I think the crappy, single ply CVS tp that was free a couple weeks ago is *better*. Whereas the CVS paper is just very thin and tissue-paper like, this one is more like sandpaper in my opinion. Plus, it's just not that great a deal. There are only 168 rolls per sheet. I can work drugstore deals for premium papers for less. Hope that helps!

      • Dianne

Look back through the comments from Jenny's original post about this deal. Many people said it was not good t.p.

      • Becky

Then don't order it! It's nothing like Charmin or Northern. Too thin. My husband says it's like sandpaper too!

        • pureromancebychriste

wish I knew this earlier, Oh well already ordered it…

      • Hester

Honestly not quite the deal- these rolls are terrible and do not last. We got a similar 'bargain' last month with buying paper towels and getting the toilet tissue free but it was gone so fast because of the poor quality. I actually complained to the company.

    • ItsACouponThing

When a person does an online deal like this and has it shipped to store, can one still use a coupon at check-out? or are you stuck with the price?

      • Abby M

You can print the confirmation and use the coupons at the register. Did it this morning and it went fine! 8.76 total for two packs.

    • Katia

I realize the quality might not be great so I'm getting it for the kids' bathroom. They always way too much regardless if I buy the Charmin' or not, so they may as well knock themselves out on the cheap stuff ;) Can't beat the price.

    • Sunny

They must already be sold out. I tried to put one in my “shopping cart” but it would never appear. It doesn't say they are sold out, but it wouldn't go to my shopping cart. Oh well.

    • motherof3nc

Bought 2 this morning to pick up at local store total cost incl. tax 10.77!

    • Thanks for the reminder. Almost forgot about it! Just bought $50 worth. Hopefully will last a while.

    • MommaM

The deal will not show up until you get to the final checkout page. It will show the $12.99 price first but it does go down at checkout.
Even better than that, though, if you go to add to cart and click on the top to order by catalog item # and put in 593805-v6 you will get the deal for $2.99 once in the check out. I just did it and got 10 rolls for $32.89 (incl tax).

    • Snellmom

I went to do this deal this morning using the rest of my staples reward check. Online it said my check had expired, so I couldn't do it. It doesn't expire until the end of the month. This is a great item to donate to many ministries. It expires at the end of May. I may try the online kiosk thing, though.

      • Snellmom

Update- I went into my local Staples store. Their online kiosk was not working, but one of the sales associates helped me with the order. I had a copy of the printed order I wanted to place at home. It included 5 things of toilet paper and other stuff. I told him how I got it for $10.99 (using the order with code), and he did it. Everything registered just right, I was able to use my rewards check and will receive 120 rolls of toilet paper to donate on Thursday without a dime out of my pocket. Not bad. I had to go up there to drop off ink cartridges, so I'm not complaining!

Before I hit the submit order button can anyone tell me how this compares to Angel Soft.

      • Hester

Honestly not quite the deal- these rolls are terrible and do not last. We got a similar 'bargain' last month with buying paper towels and getting the toilet tissue free but it was gone so fast because of the poor quality. I actually complained to the company.

        • My total for 3 packs of these is 9.60 so thats .13 per roll. With angel soft I pay around .30 per roll.

    • Lucy

      *** DEAL ALERT ***

Go to the Staples website, click on “order by catalog #” on top, and put in 593805-v6. Once you get to check out, you total price will be $2.99, or $3.18 including tax!!!!!

      • DuncanMomof2

Thank you so much. I just ordered 2. My total was $6.34 with tax. Thanks

    • Bella

Great deal for donation. I personally am well stocked on TP but was able to pool my neighbor's and my coupons to order 10 packs, which is delivered free to my home. Please consider to get and donate especially if you have the $2 coupon. You'll be a great blessing.

    • Taryn

As much as I like a good deal, this stuff is like sandpaper!

    • susan

The Staples in my area could not use the coupons because they had to scan 10 in store coupons to make the order go through. It was still a pretty good deal, but it would have been awesome had I been able to use my staples rewards and my coupons.

    • Carol

I did this deal today, but they would only take one coupon because in the fine print on the coupon it says ONE per customer. Still a good deal!

    • winona

Going in the store did not work out for me today. They said this deal is not available on their kiosk system; therefore, I could not order it in the store on their computer. They said I should be able to use my manufacture coupons online though. I tried that also and it did not allow me to. I called 800 STAPLES and they said you cannot use manufacture coupons on phone/online orders. I also tried that code mentioned below “593805-v6” and it said out of stock. Maybe it was not meant to be for me today. Maybe there was a reason for it. I did buy the paper towels in the store 6 roll. It was on clearance for $5.40 and I had a $1.00 coupon. Is $4.40 a decent sale for 6 roll on this product?

    • Carol

the guy at the store put it through for me since i didn't see a kiosk. he knew the deal right away. i only ordered one and i had a $1 rebate check. sorry to see it is a bad quality though. oh well!

    • renamac

after reading everyone's comments I kinda am afraid to leave mine but here goes i was happy to purchase the tp at this price we are not tp snobs we are just happy to have some at our disposal lol. I had 4 $2.00 coupons and went to my store and they ordered mine and will have it shipped free to the store. What i liked about this deal was i did not empty the shelves everyone was able to snag this deal. while there i brought in my $1.00 coupons for the marcal paper towels they sell them by the single rolls there for $1.00 each so i got 4 rolls for free pd tax only .39 cents . I do like the paper towels . Thanks Jenny for letting us know about this and all other deals!

      • renamac

I got a call from staples today they canceled my order because they ran out of the tp. I will have to go back to the store to get my refund and I guess i just lost $8.00 worth of coupons. Honestly !

    • Could not do my order in the store either. They said kiosk would not allow you to pay at register to use coupons BUT- I went home and ordered them and the first screen said $4.99ea but when I clicked on the product to order it was $2.99ea. Happy surprise! Worked out great since I was not able to use my $2 off coupons. Now we shall see if it's any good when it arrives :)

    • Sheila

In case anyone ordered without reading all of how to order the TP for 2.99. You can call for a price adjustment.

My order had the TP as 4.99. I called Staples CSR just a minute ago and they price matched to 2.99 per pkg the same price for the individual item because they had the same item listed for two different prices. So if you could only order for 4.99, you can call and have them refund part of your money.

      • Cristy

Who exactly do I call? I went into the store to do the deal and the manager would not let me use qpons. So I would love to get the price adjustment. Do i just call the store or what is csr? Also, can I do it as late as Monday seeing as though it is 11pm…lol. Thank you very much.

    • judahfour

I ordered 3 rolls Saturday morning around 9am and just received an email minutes ago that the item is not available. However, after hearing the sandpaper analogy, I dont think I'm disappointed.

      • pureromancebychriste

Haha!! I thought the Same thing. I too got that email.. Oh well I guess our “butts” are saved after all , lol

    • talljennr

Mine was also canceled, oh well.

    • rs

I just received the same email. I asked them to mail me a check for the $10 in coupons that they will be redeeming, or they can backorder and ship when they restock. It is not acceptable to accept an order if you don't have enough product to fulfill it. Sounds like I'm not the only one. Boo, Staples online ordering!!

    • Cynthia

Very disappointed with Staples. I ordered 5 cases on Saturday and even received a confirmation e-mail that said it would be delivered 5/28. I just opened another e-mail from them that said they were out of product and order is cancelled. I called and was told that by the time they got credit card approvals, the item sold out. This is so wrong. She refused to honor the deal even after they restock. She said she will e-mail me a $10 coupon for my inconvenience. Have not received it as yet. I will not order again from Staples

    • ywardlaw

I got the same email as well. I think they are going to have a lot of unhappy customers!

    • Kristin

I got the same e-mail. I replied and told them that after this experience, I would not be shopping at Staples again. Online orders should not have been processed if there wasn't enough product in stock.

    • Carol

a prerecorded message called and said they were out of stock and i wouldn't be charged. i called cause i went to the store and already paid! she said i would get a check in the mail. wish i hadn't made a special trip to go get this and now have to wait on a refund check. oh brother staples! i should have asked for some coupons or something for my time.

    • Kim

Me, too! You would think that the computers we have nowadays would be able to subtract as people paid for their orders.

    • motherof3nc

I got the email also! A bit ticked off at Staples and I will be calling!

    • Kristie

Very Angry about this deal. I completely understand product limits and running out. BUT, I called prior to going to the store to verify that they had product, and was actually told that they had the product in store and I could leave with it in hand. The lady said that there was no information about a limit, I can order on the store kiosk, pay for it there, use coupons, and leave with product in hand. Made a special trip at 6:32pm to buy product, they took my money, told me they were wrong about having it in store, but it would be shipped. Inconvenient, but still a good deal, so I would make a second special trip to pick up. I of course got the email…no product. Now I find out that I have to go to the store to get a refund. Customer service and store manager both saying that they just couldn't keep up. I don't buy it. I was a “buyer” for several years and when you're ordering on line and run out at 9:00 in the morning (according to another southern saver shoppers comment), then there's no way they didn't know they were out by 6:32pm. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Poor BUYING department. The customer service rep. has said she'd send a courtesy coupon for my trouble. I'll be interested to see how much they value my time and my business. Looks to me like staples has been able to use our money for a few days to boost their end of the month numbers.

    • John

I did this deal and placed two orders, one at just after midnight, and the other at 9:02 am. At midnight the prioce wasn't changed yet, but ordered just because didn't want to miss out. my 9am order was cancelled today and I called and was told that ther ordr actually sole out at 6:30am but the computer still accepted orders

I explained about my other order and the lady used the coupon code so my price was 4.99, and was bein g delivered to the store today.

Went to pick up and to my suprise these are small rolls (168 sheets 2ply) not at all what I thought, compared to Scott 1000 sheets 1 ply). Well trying to get the store to accpet my coupon was interesting after 2 managers, and 20 minutes with the 800 customrer service, it was decided that $4 could be credited to my CC.

Worth $5.00 each maybe not, but for $3.00 I will take it

    • michelle

Just listened to a voice mail message saying that my order has been canceled. The message also stated that I will not be charged – I paid cash. Not to mention the coupons I can't get back. They just informed me today (Wed.) that my order that was supposed to be delivered on Friday has been canceled. What a joke!

    • caroline

Mine got cancelled – I called 800-333-3330 and they are sending me a refund check (including the amount of my coupons).
They said not all stores have been informed about how to do the refunds but most stores can do your refund, including coupons, no problem.
They were extremely apologetic and said this was a huge issue with a lot of customers and they've never had anything like it before.

    • dd

I will be emailing Corprate Staples with my complaint. My mother and I both placed orders very early Saturday morning and paid via CC over the phone.
Anyways our orders were suppose to be delivered today and when I called to find out what time, they said that both of our orders were cancelled. WHAT?! When were they going to tell us? They didnt email, call or anything. STAPLES is a joke and I will NEVER order from them again. They didnt offer any type of coupons or rain checks for our inconvenience. I missed out on some other good TP sales last week because I thought I would be stocked for a while. Staples no longer has any of my business.

      • dd

Sorry I had a typo – Corporate, not Corprate.

      • Anna

Same thing just happened to me- I am so frustrated- plus I used my coupons at that store!!
