Help!! I am trying to get a State Newspaper Subscription for my mom who lives in Columbia. I tried calling the newspaper call center and that went NOWHERE!! I would love to know how to get a year subscription for less than $204.00. Please help if you can. Thanks!!

      • gardengirl

How sweet of you to do that for your Mom! You might want to post this question on the community. I now whenever I need help, I get quick answers when I put it on the community. If you haven't used the community yet, it is great. Also, whenever anyone replies to your post on the community, you get an email (Jenny doesn't show your email address) automatically so you don't have to keep checking back for answers. To get to the community, look on the right side of this page below the upcoming workshops and click on it.

I just renewed my subscription with The State for Sunday delivery only (they're giving me Thursday's for free), 52 weeks $96.72 this is up from the special they had last year of $85.28. There's a customer service number on my bill (800) 888-3566 or if you're local 771-7323. I hope this helps.

If anyone gets TLC channel there is a new show starting (12-30)called extreme couponing. It will be on at 8pm and will repeat again at 1am.

      • Emmyab

        its on tonight!

      • Katrina_stewart68

I watched the new “Extreme Couponing” show tonight at eight and I must admit my couponing is quite mild and I did learn a lot just from the show.

    • Bee

Not trying to be a whiner, but I wish I could eat some of these cleaners and HB products. Seems food coupons are getting scarce in the inserts.

    • Don

I watched the new “Extreme Couponing” show tonight and disagree with the strategy of buying everything on one purchase. It made it confusing and easy to make a mistake when giving them the coupons. You could easily pay full price on some items. I think they did it this way on television to impress the audience and saved the most savings for the last part of the show. Great show and learned a couple things from the show I did not know.

    • Greenie

I watched Extreme Couponing, too and was disappointed that only the last person made it clear that he was donating a lot of what he purchased.
I was also appalled that the first woman stockpiled so much that more than likely, many of the things she buys will expire and go to waste if she doesn't share.
Plus, I was sickened to see the mounds of plastic bags she used – you'd think that someone who shops that seriously would invest in some reusable bags (or get them free when the grocery stores offer them on promo).
We can't emphasize enough the importance of sharing the wealth and reducing the waste.

      • Juli

I post where two of the others (Amanda and Krazy Koupon Lady) and they both donated the majority of their stuff…it was recorded but not shown. They seemed to want to make them look as bad as possible…Amanda donated all but the catfood and yakisobi noodles…the show made it out that neither of them did this. In fact, Mr Coupon did donate the cereal, but he sells from his stockpile instead of donating it for the most part, or so I have read at a site he posts on.

Does anyone know how to get the Smart Source coupons to print? I’ve tried numerous times & I get a message saying there’s an error & I’m denied printing. I’ve e-mailed these folks numrous times asking how to correct this, & get no response.

      • tarheelbaby1

I also cannot print Smart Source coupons. I haven't been able to print them in over a year and have emailed numerous times. It is quite frustrating, I know.

        • Couponqueen769

I had trouble printing, too. After reading some help files, I finally figured it out. It has to do with “spooling,” which makes your print jobs come out faster. You have to go into the options for your printer and have the print jobs sent directly to the printer rather than using the spooling option. I think the coupon printers read this like a “print to file,” which could allow too many prints. I believe Jenny has a note about this somewhere on the site.

      • Saviorbucks

        I can't print either.

      • Shopper

Make sure your java is up to date. That is what fixed it for me.

    • Amy D.

How many papers are everyone buying?

      • Beck

        i'm getting 5, woohoo!

      • 4 papers

      • Luci

If I buy any, 2 papers max from the discount racks (99 cents each at some stores). Doesn't look like find locally in our paper most of the coupons that I've already found as printables online. This is a pattern I've noticed in our area except when there are P&G Qs. I print a list of the possible Qs to check the paper's inserts before I buy any, which I can do from the rack papers in the stores.

    • Heather

how did they get so much free stuff on the extreme shopping show? i thought that i did good when i did my shopping but i am not compared to them does any one have any advice for me at the grocery store the only grocery stores that i have in my area is food city and kroger

      • They cheated the system, lol… First off they ordered their coupons online.. So they had like 300 $1 pasta coupons and the pasta was 10/10… If you remember they really didn't get alot of different stuff. it was like 100 of this 300 of that, 1100 of cereal.. lol Plus its a show so they glorified it a little bit

        • Dana

Actually they did get alot more than was shown on the show. They just edited it to look more extreme with the extreme amounts of some of the products.

    • Synthia92

Yes i would love to know what websites that they go to, to get all the coupons that they get. i use all laundry detergent and i can never find them of if so it has ended. any help that anyone can give me would greatly be appreciated.

    • DW in GA

I will be in the Murfreesboro, TN area on Sun/Mon and unable to get to my usual source for papers. Anyone have any tips on where to get the papers with coupon inserts in this area? email me djweathers @ gmail dot com if you want. Thanks!

      • tambry

        • DW in GA

Thanks, ended up at a random gas station and got two papers with all 5 inserts! Yeah Tennessean! Love the price on this paper, too!

    • someone on another site just said there was going to be GE inserts this weekend… so 5 total

    • Victoria

UGH….got 5 papers wanting the $2 wisk coupon. None of my papers had the 2nd RP insert. (Atlanta -AJC)

      • ireneY

        So, no Quaker either??

        • Luci

Got Quaker Qs as online printables from Red Plum and Target store coupons. Our insert rarely includes the Quaker Qs.

    • madeline

Does anyone know when the buy one get one free IHOP coupons are coming out again>

    • Ashley

i got 2 smart source inserts, a red plum and a general mills but no 2nd redplum. that was in the newspaper delivered to me, when i go pick up my other copies im hoping i have better luck!

    • jessica1970

Has anyone in the Florence, SC area gotten newspapers yet? Just wondering what we “got” in this paper before I head out.

    • Ecenterprises

My Atlanta paper that was delivered only had 2 inserts. I called them and they sent out another paper that had them all. It even had other ads I did not get that I usually do. This is starting to happen more and more. I don't think most people even know what they are suppose to get.

    • Chance1968

I got NO inserts in nashville. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

      • NolaGirl

Call your carrier; it's probably a mistake.

      • Luci

Sometimes this happens at the company where the papers are stuffed and a paper is overlooked. I know many that handstuff their papers until they run out of the inserts. Perference is often given to home delivery over newsstand copies, but I know I've still not gotten any coupons a couple of times by my new area's paper when I did have home delivery.

    • Dory

We picked up two papers in Charleston, Sc and I only got ONE insert!! I am going to try a couple more stores and check the papers before I buy them. Someone on this list suggested Walgreens. Hope they still have some left!

    • Courtney

got the Charlotte observer and have all the inserts but I feel like I have a totally different SS then listed lol. Have whole list of coupons not listed, and then some that are listed have different prices like instead of $1 off its .40/6 on the yogurt. Its crazy lol.

      • Luci

That’s what Jenny is refers to as the coupons may vary in your area. I’m in Jackson, Mississippi area and this happens all the time. The Qs of SS and RP are very limited in our paper, so if I really want a coupon, I have to order an insert from a reputable site. P&G and General Mills are usually spot on.

Look for printable coupons online for better deals, such as Coupons.com. Use another area’s zip instead of your local zip if asked by the website. This is how I sometimes get better value Qs.

      • Kwafflescoupons

I was also mistified. I decided to try printing out the list rather than cutting out the coupons right away, but the list is totally different than what I have. I guess Charlotte is weird.

    • lee

I was wondering if anyone bought a sun-sentinel paper in palm beach county, what inserts they had.
