    • Katkoupon

I was wondering how many copies of the papers some of you buy? I usually get 4 when there is a P&G insert and at least 2 when nothing exciting, but starting to wonder if I should always buy 4, since you never know what sales are coming. I don't have anyone to share/swap cpns with. Just curious, thanks!

      • Susie

We buy 4-6 papers depending on the season and if our stockpile is low on what season is coming up!

      • Susan

There is nothing major in this ad that we use a lot of. I'll get 2 papers. If there is a coupon for 2 or 3 items that I consider to be staples in our house, I'll get 3-4 papers.

      • Linda

Most of the time I buy 4 to 6 papers. I have bought 8 before. But that is my limit!

      • Anonymousperson1940

Or you could always order the coupons you need “extras” of from a coupon clipping service…

      • Mom_4_Him

My hubby gets me a bundle each week, so usually 6-12 papers depending on how they are bundled that week :-)

      • Guest

I have found that “1 per person in the household” gives me sufficient, therefore I buy 4. We have two adults, 1 teen, 1 baby. You would change that number depending what is in the papers, or how many of each you have. Since we have dad, mom, sis is a teen, and baby is a boy, 4 work well since babies use a lot! but we only have the 1 so 4 coupons for him, 4 coupons for dad (we share with uncle there so it works out) and 4 coupons for mom & sis. I also buy for elderly parents, so that usually uses those. I buy for cats, and give away dogs and infant (baby is a toddler) coupons to ladies at work so they don't buy extra since they know they will get extra 4 from me when they are published. Alsos this works as many of my stores limit to 4. I always buy in 2s because of B1G1 sales…

      • Butterhead16

For my family of 4, 1 adult and 3 little boys, I always get at least 4. One per person works well for a hum drum week. But if there are lots of excited comments in these preview listings on blogs or if it has 2 or more of the staples for our household then I get 10. Ten seems to be a common limit at some stores so I never bother for more than that. FoodLion limits you to 10 “like” coups per transaction. Plus it is an even number which maximizes the BOGO sales! And as far as where to get them? I always order from a whole insert place if there are 2 or less inserts that week. If 3 or 4 are schedualed then I will purchase them locally since I will be paying the same amount for the paper but getting more coups. Even considering the shipping it is still cheaper to order them if there are 1 or 2 inserts schedualed.

        • Guest

I am curious, what do you mean by Foodlion allowing you to use 10 “like” coupons per transaction? Does that mean 10 of the exact same coupon?

    • Threnners

I got the Smart Source insert in my “junk mail” today. YAY FOR DOUBLES!!!

      • Mom_4_Him

Me too. I was so excited!!!!!!!!

      • Julia

        In your junk mail??????

    • katie

with 2 in diapers (1 in pullups, 1 in huggies), I think I will stock up on the paper this week! normally I only get 2 papers, but this week will be different! been waiting for this to combo with the publix coupons and flip coupons :) Even have a rain check for the huggies deal at publix, so I have a feeling I'll stock up for the next 6 mos!

      • Cassandradietrich

Hpw do you double up the coupons for free diapers? I am SOOO intrested in this savings the most…

    • Lc112285

Love the Huggies coupons, since Publix has 3.00 off any box! And regarding how many papers to pick up, I actually get tons of free papers from local places that just throw them out, ie our local court house, they have a whole trash bag full and are more than willing for me to take half!

      • emerson

what city and who else would you recommend calling about the coupon inserts

      • Shannon

When do you go to the places? In the afternoon?

    • Bee

That is a great Kix cereal coupon, since it will double at a lot of stores.

Love the Perfect 10 coupon and the Tai Pei frozen entree.

Hoping I get all these coupons…

    • TINA

      • Aklholl

Aside from getting them in your Sunday paper you can search for whole inserts or specific coupons on ebay. That's what I do if I want several of a certain one.

        • Nonniemonroe1

      • Crystal @ Couponbeat.com

I run http://www.Couponbeat.com and I have Whole Inserts $0.75 shipped.

    • Serattcoupons

I'm excited about the Huggies coupons, too. My little sister has a brand new baby and I can't get her to clip coupons, so I do it for her. I usually get 5 papers each week unless there is a P&G or General Mills and then I've been known to get 8.

      • DonnaChas

If you give me your address, I'd be happy to mail you my Huggies coupons…I'll look back here to see if you replied. I thought I could write you a private message, but I don't see where I could ?

        • DonnaChas

I did come back and checked here to see if you had written that you wanted the diaper coupons. I think I will go to the community here to pass them along.

      • Kris

My step daughter just had twins and I would LOVE to help her with diapers. What is a good after coupon price for diapers? (i.e. the buy now price) I haven't a clue. Thanks!

        • Wendy

Make sure she calls the company (Huggies, Pampers) directly. When I had twins, they sent me really good coupons, like $5 coupons. Tell her congrats!! Having twins is so much fun.

    • rosewood4

Thank Goodness for the Whiskas B1G1 coupon yea for free cat food

    • Girlxmom

When you buy multiple papers, do you use the same coupon on one purchase or multiple? thanks :D

      • Butterhead16

One manufacturer's coupon per item. But you can have multiples of the item to match the number of coupons you have. I.E. Instead of getting one free box of cookies, you could get 10 free boxes of cookies (if you bought 10 papers)

    • Melanie

I'm new to this, just wondering how much the Sunday paper costs (AJC)?

      • Meghan M.

the AJC is $2.00 for a single and $3.00 for a double. I also have a Rite Aid wellness card and have hit the 20% off non sale and R> brand products so I can get my doubles for $2.40 at my local Rite Aid (if they have any! LOL)

        • Melanie

          What is a double?

          • Riddle062400

It's a double stack. It means you can purchase 2 papers for $3, vs 1 paper for $2 so it saves you a buck. I can never find the people up in Hiram. Used to see them all the time, now I must be missing them. Anyone know where else they hang out?

            • Malinda

They are usually in the food lion parking lot on hiram sudie… but not today. I guess it was to cold for them. I had to pay 2 a piece for mine. But i'm thankful that both inserts were there.

      • makaveligirl

I live in Dallas, GA, which I get the AJC, sometimes there are people selling them (AJC) on the corners on saturdays for $1.00 each. I try to find them so that it is cheaper. You can also find them in Hiram near Home Depot/Wendys.

    • Blessedlittlefox

Jenny… Do you have a list of what the inserts will be for 2011? Thanks… you're a blessing!

    • AmySaves

I am new to this and do not understand why would I buy multiple papers? I will only use certain coupons for the items we truly use in our home. Can someone contact me? I would appreciate it so much! Amy — harwoodmail@aol.com THANKS!

      • kcreviews

Things only go on sale every 6-8 weeks. You should stock up on items that are on sale and that you have a coupon for so you don't have to buy them when they are regular price!

      • Couponerfan

I am new to this also and that is what i thought at first as well. I have always been pretty product loyal. With that said, I am thankful I have coupons I wouldnt normally use when a free or deeply discounted opportunity comes up. I do clip the ones that i know i will use and file the rest as just in case. :)

      • Jessica

I have been couponing since May and started buying multiple papers by July. What area are you in? I am in Tampa and we have Publix. When items go buy one get one (BOGO) you want an even amount of coupons because Publix allows a coupon on each item…the bought one AND the free one. You can also “stack” a store coupon on top of a manufacturer coupon. We used to be extremely brand particular and still are on some items. But having multiple papers, filed by date, helps me get free/cheap items that I normally would not have purchased without coupons. I would be happy to explain more of this to you if you like. Just let me know and I will contact you via email. ~ Jessica

      • Diane

You have received good answers to your question, but let me give you an example of why multiple coupons pay off. Ultra Palmolive is on sale this week for $2 a bottle and it is my preferred dish soap. I hate buying it when its not on sale, when it can be almost $3 a bottle. So with it on sale, and having 4 coupons from the 1/2 Smart Source (I buy 2 double papers each week) that is for $2 off 2, I bought 8 bottles for $1 each. To make it even sweeter, I found bottles on the shelf that had 25% more in them. This should last me until they go on sale again and I can stack it with a coupon. This is how you build a stockpile of the things you use regularly for much less money!

    • Sharon

New ?…I file my q's by categories but sometimes find ones I want to use expired. Any suggestions on a different way to prevent that.

      • Leann

go thru them once a month and pull the expireds. I use the binder system now, so as Im filing my new Q's I can easily see the exp dares on the old ones and pull them

        • Leann

      • Sharwinberry

I file mine by categories, also. I place my good coupons that are about to expire or ones I know I want to use soon at the front of my binder. I use 3 small binders with sheet protectors (5.5″ x 8.5″). I have a black binder that I use for non food items, and 2 white ones for my food items which fit in nicely in a small reusable bag.

    • Denalowenberg

Noticed some questions about filing coupons and it made me want to put a question out there: How do you file your coupons?
I keep my inserts whole, file in clear page protectors with the date written on front. Then filed by date with the newest on top.
It makes it very easy when Jenny lists SS 11/26 I just go to my binder, find the date, pull out the insert, and find the coupon.
What way do you do it? Not every way is right for everyone but I know I can always learn something from others!

    • stacy

I bought a full-priced paper today and no coupons. Unfortunately, I didn't notice until I got home. Boo :(

      • sharon

That has happened to me before and it is frustrating. I am lucky that I can get my paper for 98 cents so I don't feel like it is a total lost but no coupons is no coupons…

        • Amanda

I always check the paper first before buying to make sure all inserts are there. I also get one paper delivered to my house. I have only once had one insert missing from home delivery in two years. I let them know online and they credited my account because they do not redeliver inserts in our area. I would have preferred the coupons in that case though.

    • I got my AJC this morning at my house and was missing the redplum. Anyone else have this issue, or did I just get “cheated”. Since it was delivery any way could I get them to send it to me?

      • Becca_62400

I just got mine and bought 6 papers and none of them had Redplum in there, I'm so upset thinking about calling AJC on this. This is week 2 that I haven't got all of my coupons.

        • Shamekascoupons

That's so weird. I have the replum, but no smartsource!!!

          • Raechil

I got redplum no smartsource in my 2 AJC papers too!

      • Timntam89

I subscribe and was missing the Red Plum also today. However, we get the Gwinnett Daily Post thrown out as well (for free) and it had a Red Plum, but not the Smart Source. So I guess, I'm lucky to have gotten a least one of each between the two papers, but it is aggravating as the whole reason I subscribed was to be SURE I got the inserts.

    • Confetti Lauren

I file mine by category and Store. Like Target and CVS wil each have their own file with store flyer and store coupons. So it's really easy when i do my shopping list, I simply make sure to pull out all my (cereal or other item) coupons, to match or adjust what's on my shopping list and take it from there.

    • Becca_62400

I just got my papers and there are NO REDPLUMS, has anyone else had any problems today with their papers?

      • Kycmotes

I bought two AJC's, got home to find that both had 2 redpulms each…NO SmartSource. Don't know what in the world is going on with the AJC inserts!!

    • anon

No Woolite coupon in our paper or Lindt truffles. I wonder if they just weren't in the Kansas City area or if they were taken out of the paper I purchased.

    • Stephanie

I too, did not receive the woolite coupons or lindt coupons ~

    • Fran

No huggies in Peachtree City, Ga (AJC) Smartsource 1/23 :(

      • andie98

I didn't get my HuGGIES either! Southern Illionis paper! 1/23

    • Nicole

I'm in southern Georgia – my 1/23 Smart Source insert does not have the Pantene or Hunts canned tomatoes q's. I've looked on smartsource website and can't fine them either. Last time something like this happened, I found someone who posted their zipcode and found the q I was looking for. Has anyone been able to find these two q's on smartsource?

    • chica2011

I am in Crestview florida, I didnt get my red plum insert? no happy! :(
