Does anyone know if I can purchase the Olay Total Effects body wash and use the $4/1 and also use the Buy one Olay Total Effects body wash and get an Ivory body wash free? I have had issues with Target and coupons before, so I don't want to get to excited about two free body washes if it's not gonna happen!

      • Llhughes41

what is the SoBe coupon you use at CVS?

        • Go to http://headsortails.sobe.com/ and play the game. Two coupons per computer, regardless of how many e-mail addresses you have, or you can register through your Facebook account. Play once a day. They seem to have the kinks worked out now so that you can print 2 each day you win.

The coupon is from the Proctor and Gamble insert from the Sunday paper on 7/04. RP stands for Red Plum and SS stands for Smart Source.

You can read the getting started guides for more information on how this works!

The Target I shop at will no longer take any coupon if it exceeds the price of the item.

      • marathonmom

        Neither will mine.

My wags (in orlando) has the 25 dollar giftcard flyers out on a table. CVS takes them as a competitor coupon. Hope this helps.

        • alexis

My Kroger ad this week has a $25 for Transferred Rx.

        • Mrscheapstuff

there is “no” cvs in my county that accepts compet. q's..bummer

    • Interplanetjanetsc

Got my Target deals today, but got an a little, shall we say, “attitude” from the cashier… “I'm not supposed to accept more than one Q plus a Target Q, but I'm gonna do it right now [because i'm really mad about being here at 0900 in the morning & you have all these coupons I have to accept]…” My response was, “but I bought two of the J&J baby washes, so I have 2 J&J Qs and theTarget Q for 75c off if you buy 2” She said, “but I get in trouble if I accept them” and i said, “i don't understand how you can 'get in trouble'?” She huffed & puffed and scanned all I had. Can anyone out there help me understand —- was I taking advantage of the Q system??

      • Melissa

I also did the JnJ deal. I bought 2 desitin and used one Target Q with 2 Man q and they all scanned just fine. She needs some retraining and a better attitude. I work at Target and if we were ever that rude it would not go over well with management.

        • Ash

I have found that a lot of Target cashiers have a bit of an attitude. Not all of them, but a higher percentage of other stores. Perhaps Target doesn't have a very good training system in place? I had a rude cashier last week when I was doing the Aveeno body wash deal…she acted like I was stealing them, and even told me “you got really lucky because I think this pricing was a mistake, these are usually $5.99!” I told her they were priced that way in all Targets. I didn't have the $2/2 coupon either, she was just mad that I was getting them for $1.25…she probably would have flipped out if I'd had the coupon! Target is quickly becoming the new Wal-mart to me.

          • Ash

I meant “higher percentage THAN other stores”…whoops!

            • Teresa

I've gotten the same attitude from a manager at Walgreens and a few managers at Publix. These few people have actually stated to me verbatim “I really hate coupons, they are so annoying to deal with” and then the rest of the interaction is full of attitude. When I apologize for “being a pain in the butt” and then try to laugh, they always say “Oh it's not you just coupons” but they continue with the attitude! If' it's not me, quit with the 'tude.

          • Melissa

I never have a problem but it might have to do with having a red shirt on. All of our cashiers do a great job. The cashiers I have a problem with are at Walgreens.

            • Danielle

I'm glad I'm not the only one with issues with cashiers at Walgreens! Each week when I look at the ad, I pray that there aren't any good deals at Walgreens so I don't have to go there. How pathetic is that!

            • Swood1

Me, too. I try so hard to look at the add and double check my coupons, but I never can get out of there without having to redo or argue. The cashier's are nice and would be happy if the things would scan, but it will not. One day it was that I had recieved that morining RR for $5. from Dove and tried to use this RR that afternoon for more Dove Product. The manager and cashier like to have never figured out what was wrong, but it would not go through.

            • Swood1

Sorry, I didn't say that I was referring to Walgreen.

            • pat

I know what you are saying. Looks like this coming week will give us the needed break!

          • Interplanetjanetsc

thanks – I noticed that deal, too. but when i got the q & went back another day, the sale sign for the aveeno wash was gone…

      • Doramccary

You didn't do anything wrong. I did the exact same transaction on baby powder and got no attitude from the cashier. She just needed a little more sleep it seems.

      • mommaof2

I very much dislike it when a cashier acts as if their doing me a favor by letting me use certain coupons, even though I KNOW they are perfectly legit and being used properly. Very frustrating.

      • mommaof2

        What is the J&J deal? I'm a little behind…

        • Interplanetjanet

my store just happened to have some “wash & shampoo” on sale – lucky for me – i love it for my little boy – got 2 for nearly nothin'

    • Llhughes41

Sorry guys but the air wick freshmatic starter kit is $7.49 not $4.49. So its not $0.49 cents after coupon, but $3.49

      • Kelly Haskell

I just bought 2 of the air wick freshmatics compact starter kits at $4.49.

      • Doramccary

It should be $4.49. It is prominently pictured in their add. Even if it is not marked on the shelf they should have to honor it since they picture it in the ad.

    • Lovelivelaugh716

Can someone please email me the $3 off huggies diapers and the $2off huggies wipes.. It won’t let me print them.. It tells me no offers available?? I really appreciate it!! Thank you! Lovelivelaugh716@aol.com

    • Doramccary

Just visited the Clarksville, TN Target and they still have the Olay Total Effect BW 15.2 oz in stock for $5.49. However, they are ringing up $7.99 so be sure to tell the cashier when you check out. I just got 2 Olay Total Effect BW and used (2) $4 off coupons also used (2) Free Ivory BW (24oz) coupons with purchase of Olay Total Effects. Walked out with 4 large bottles of BW for $3. Can't beat that.

    • marathonmom

Went to do the Brita deal and found the shorter 6 cup pitcher on sale for $20.XX. It does not count on the $5.00 gift card deal, but with the $5.00 printable coupon it is cheaper than doing the gift card deal.

    • A1chaya

To those who's Targets will not allow them to use a coupon if the value exceeds the price:

That is against Target Store coupon policy. Their policy clearly states “Coupon amount may be reduced if it exceeds the value of the item after other discounts or coupons are applied.”

It really irks me when employees try to make up their own rules. I've been instructed by Target customer service reps over the phone to walk over to the customer sercice desk, pick up the red phone, and ask them to clarify their coupon policy to the manager and cashier if they give you a hard time. I've had to do this when they refust to take multiple coupons in one transaction because it says “one per purchase”. Employees tend to confuse “purchase” with “transaction”. It's very annoying.

      • mommaof2

Had the same experience several times. What really stinks is when not only the cashiers don't know the q policy but the managers don't know as well. I started carrying a copy of their policy in my purse but I still have trouble even though it's in black and white in front of their faces. I have called customer service many times and each time I have had to go back to the store to get my purchases. I didn't realize there was a red phone I could look for. Thanks for the info…I'm sure I will have to use it.

I always have a good experience with my Target cashiers. And I love that they accept internet q's for free products! They are about the only ones left in town who will.

Is this a good deal on diapers?

      • guest

It's okay. It really depends on how many diapers are in the box you are purchasing. When dividing if I get 15 cents a diaper or cheaper I will purchase them. If it's 12 cents or cheaper I stock up.

        • Klpgt

Thanks. I was buying the samsclub brand for 17 cents each…every bit counts!

I am confused on the freebies. I havent bought any travel sizes because the coupons say “excludes travel size”. does it work anyway or do i need to find new coupons?

      • AH

it will not work if your coupon says excludes travel size. the freebies work when the coupon doesn't have a size limit.

The Vaseline Aloe lotion does not have a size restriction. I got my two free lotions yesterday!

I tried the Target deal, buy two Always pads, use two $1 off coupons, and get a $5 gift card. For some reason, the computer would not accept the second coupon, only .08 off. the manager came over and she could not overwrite it either. Any suggestions on how to fix this since I am sure others have run into this? thanks a bunch!

      • Katcrown

I checked my receipt after getting home and realized my 2nd coupon deducted at only $.08 as well. Can anyone let us know why this happened? Makes no sense to have a $1 off coupon show up as $.08. It's not like my transaction was a money maker. Thanks for any insight!

          this is kinda long….sorry!

i had a similar issue with the 2 qs not ringing up properly….i had to get a raincheck at cust svc….so while the floor personnel were getting the stock numbers for the clerk, we reviewed my receipt.

i bought 4 benadryl bitesticks @ 2.29 each and had two $5 off 2 coupons, which should have been reduced to 4.58 each, per the store policy (which i carry a copy of the email they sent me in my coupon wallet, in case there's a training opportunity!)

i also bought the pampers wipes and had a $2 q for that.

the receipt only showed -2.29, – 2.29 and – .25. the cust svc rep went to the register and pulled the 3 coupons (the 2 $5 benadryl ones, and the $2 pamper wipes) from the checkout lane. the $2 coupon scanned as 'misc .25' at her register, which was baffling to her! i also forgot to give the cashier the tide Q for $1 for the .97 travel size, and so i asked the cust svc lady if she could fix that too. she said, of course, no problem….i ended up getting 7.55 back from her.

it's too bad that the cash registers aren't programmed 100% for accuracy on all the coupons, but that was worth taking the time to get corrected.

      • Razlmz

That happend to me today! My tampon coupon would only ring up as 16 cents even though it was for a dollar. The cashier fixed it though. That's weird that the manager told you she couldn't fix it.

    • My Dove coupons say (excludes trial sizes) does this mean travel size as well?

    • I actually had a Target mailer $2 off 2 always products (I get these through my Target store credit card)… I didn't have a duplicate of the PG coupon, but I used that, and got $3 off the purchase price!

      Final Price: $3.48. — that's $1.74 a piece!

I don't understand how people are using the $4off olay bodywash and free Ivory Soap with bodywash in a single Olay purchase. Both coupons say only one coupon per purchase. Why is this allowed? Am I missing something???

      • Moms-coupons

I hope I explain this correctly…you ARE making two purchases. The $4.00 off applies to the purchase of the bodywash, and the free Ivory soap applies to the purchase of the Ivory soap. Are you thinking of one per transaction, possibly?

        • Val

I get it! That was a perfect way to explain it. I was thinking the $4 off was for body wash and the B1GIvory coupon was for the bodywash as well, but the discount is applied to Ivory not Olay– 2 coupons 2 different purchases. I'm not sure if I made this clear, but it's definitely clear in my head now. THANK YOU!

          • Teresa

I actually tried this transaction tonight and they told me that it's not allowed because you are using 2 manuf. q's on one product. The $4 off is on the body wash, the Ivory soap is free contingent on the purchase of the body wash, so the b1g1 coupon is actually on the body wash, not the ivory soap. On the plus side, the body wash was only $4.79/ea instead of the $5.79 I was planning on. I live in Florida so I don't know if that makes a difference but that's how the manager explained it to me.

            • Razlmz

I had this experience today at Target too…..I was trying to your a B1G1 coupon for chocolate and I also had a $1 coupon for it. I was buying 2 bars and wanted to use both coupons but the cashier told me I couldn't…however, she overrode it for me just that once which I thought was nice. She said that the free items there ring up as free and you can't use a coupon on an item that rings up zero. Not sure if that is really their policy, but it's what she said. At any rate, I thought it was nice of her to give it to me. Now I know.

    • Gisellevasquez

I have a question…I went to Target to buy the Benedryl sticks that are on sale for $2.29. I had the $5 off 2 products. Well it only deducted $2.29, so I ended up paying for 1. Why is that?

      • Val

Target's registers seem to have minds of their own. This is has happened to me before when there was overage on an item. I had to go to the customer service desk, and they had to adjust the items so that I could get them for free with the coupon. It was not worth the hassle.

Target wasted more of my time today, for the 3rd week in a row. So I think, 3 strikes and you're out. I think more people should boycott such a bad system. I recommend shopping at stores like Publix and CVS where they like to help you save money and are always friendly to you who coupon. Target didn't have most of the items in stock that I went to get, and then on the freebies, the cashier informed me that she couldn't take the coupons b/c they were for trial sizes. I kindly explained that the coupons didn't have size restrictions, and she refused to take them still. So I spent a total of an hour and half this week looking through the target deals and gathering the coupons, then going to the store, all to save 4 $. I don't have the time to waste on a store that is rude and uncooperative with you when there are stores that help you and you can save just as much if you wait for their deals to come around and stock up then. Reading through the comments I see that a lot of other readers constantly deal with problems at Target, but I just refuse to continue to shop somewhere that creates such hassle when there are better options.

Just got back from Target in Durham, NC. The dollar deals that are marked with a black dot are 50% off. This includes the batteries!! 4 batteries for $0.50 a pack! They also had Cars and Toy Story 3 pencil packs for $0.50. Great for back to school!

    • Kimberly

Do you happen to know how to begin receiving the “available at Target booklet”? I'd love to get hold of some of these coupons! Thanks Jenny…your workshop was amazing in Mt Pleasant several weeks ago and I'M HOOKED!!

    • Razlmz

My Target didn't have the travel size Olay body bar :( I have 6 coupons for $1.00 off and I was very excited to get 6 FREE! Does anyone know any other places that may have them?
