Lol. I like the positive attitude Jenny! Seriously, that to me is a positive attitude because you won't be disappointed either way but if you do get something, you'll be super happy! I'll try it! Thanks! :D

    • Janet

Can you explain “what to buy” to get 2 free?

      • jennifr1966

Janet, it gets really confusing when the store already is offering BOGOF and then you have a manufacturer's coupon that is BOGOF. But it's just like it says. You'll buy one, get the second for free. But since the store is already offering to give you one for free when you buy the first one, the coupon allows you to actually get a third one for free!
Keep in mind the policy of Toys R Us is that they won't accept the coupon, but if you happen to find a really great deal on My Little Pony somewhere, give them the BOGOF coupon (assuming they take manufacturer's coupons), and they'll give you a second one for free!
May I confuse you a bit more? LOL. The BOGOF offer is for the second one! This means if you have another coupon, let's say for $1 off the product, you can still use that one, too, for the first product! So, you would get $1 off the first one, then get the second one for free! I was very nervous to try this in the beginning, but I'm getting used to it now, because the cashiers are already up to speed on that, and think nothing of it!
I hope this helps, Janet, and that I didn't confuse you further!

Thank you! I ? Vocalpoint and SS!

Actually, the Toys R Us coupon policy states that you can't combine manufacturer coupons with store promotions, so this deal won't work. This has been posted on other blogs earlier today with a lot of phone calls to corporate and individual stores, and it's pretty much been a unanimous “we can't take a manufacturer coupon with a store promotion.” Word is that a fax was sent to all the stores from corporate saying that the stores were not to take any manufacturer coupons with this deal. Hopefully some of you are somehow able to score this deal, but be forewarned before wasting your gas to try this!

      • Erin

But isn't any sale a store promotion? I used coupons on Hasbro games last night, and I got a $5 gift card, and I will get a rebate on those games. How is that any different?

        • Jeri

Me too. I got three games, used three coupons, got the $5 gift card AND will get $9 back on the Hasbro rebate…

      • christina

My toys r us asked no questions… I bought 6 my little ponies BOGO promotion. I then handed the cashier 3 manufacturer's coupons BOGO and voila! I left without even paying tax since the coupons exceeded the value. I'm pumped…

    • savingdeals

So the way I see it, if you make the trip and cant get two for free at TrU, don't feel glum. Head over to Walmart (normally across the street or in the same parking lot sometimes) and just go get two for free over there. Get two at $5 each, use the bogo then use the $5 off coupon and get two free. Its not three, but its still two and in my book, that is better than none. :o)

      • Lucy

The BOGO coupon is for the ponies, but the $5 coupon is for the “Ferris Wheels by My Little Pony “, so you can't use both on the ponies.

      • AKLLHOLL

I tried this today. Had several different items, not just the MLP, that I wanted to use coupons for. My cashier shuffled through my stack, took one coupon and then handed the rest back to me stating that WM policy was to take ONE coupon per transaction and no more. Said that it has always been policy and that their new manager was enforcing it. I told her that it was not, that I have read their corporate policy and she still insisted. I told her to void the transaction that I was going to check out with someone else.
Went to another cashier who was suddenly on the phone at the same time as last cashier and NEW cashier told me the same thing. She also said that they would no longer be taking IP coupons because people had been changing the dates on them. I left without my items. This really burns me. My WAGS is already treating couponers rudely and now WM too.

    • Megan

Is it me, or did they change the proportions of the ponies over the years? The ponies in the picture definitely don't look like the ones I played with growing up… these look much more cartoon-ish!

      • RebeccaFer

Yup, they've “modified” a lot of toys over the years. Have you seen Holly Hobby? She's totally updated and looks nothing like the old Holly Hobby. Even the Little People stuff changes from one season to the next! I'm all for updating things once in a while but I have to say I can be set in my ways too. I liked all our old toys too. Toy Story made me giddy when they had that little firetruck come out with all the little men! Lol. :D

      • JEB

Strawberry Shortcake is different now too!

      • Nighy

So are the Littlest Petshop toys. Big wobble heads. When I was little, they had cool ones. Just lost the hamsters but still actually have the original chameleaon. It doesn't change colors anymore though. A lot of toys have taken a turn for the worst.

    • gamejunkygirl

I just got $80 worth of toys for $40!!! The My Little Pony stuff is BOGO today only at Toys R' US. I used the $5 off my little pony ferris wheel, BOGO coupons for 2 ponies and used the $5 off baby alive. Since I bought the ferris wheel and the convertible I think I could have actually used 2 coupons and saved an extra $5. My daughter's birthday isn't until August so I am way ahead of the game! Whooo Hooo!

      • curtisa

        what area?

        • gamejunkygirl

Hixson. My cashier honored the BOGO but keep in mind I did purchase additional toys so it wasn't like I walked out with a stack of items for $5. GOOD LUCK

    • Phillis

Toys R Us in Murfressboro would not honor the B1G1 coupon on My Little Ponies because it states on the coupon not to be used in conjunction with any other promotion. I argued with them for 10 minutes, but still no luck.

      • vani

Toys R Us in Alpharetta would not honor the B1G1 on My Little Poines. No luck

    • Renee

Does anyhbody know where to find the rebate form for the Hasbro board games at ToysrUs? I finally googled it, but the dates were old.

      • Amy B.

Try Jenny's post here from earlier this week!

        • Renee

Thanks, I guess I overlooked the link.

      • ebroniak

The yellow Hasbro rebate forms are hanging in the game aisle in the store. They're on a tear-off pad.

Has anyone tried this deal in Greenville, SC? I would love to get it!

      • alwayskala

they are all out in spartanburg and greenville. i went to the one in spartanburg, and as soon as i got to the aisle, some lady had the whole rack in her cart with a handful of coupons. so i just walked off. however, i missed the deal for toy story 1 & 2 last week at target, and this week toysrus have all dvds and blur-ay on sale buy one get one 50% off with a $10 off promo when you buy both. so with the $10 off each upgrade coupons i printed last week, i got both combo packs for $15. they also came with free movie tickets! not too bad. with all the money i save already on random things, it's no big deal to splurge every now and then…especially for my children. :)

    • Heather

I was able to get 2 ponies, a ferris wheel, and convertible car all for under $12 with tax! Normal prices would've been over $50!

I was also able to use my Hasbro Coupons for the games!

    • JZig

ok- a quick update. i walked in to get some my little ponies with the bogo coupons and i felt SO shunned. i walked in, grabbed 4 dolls and was stopped by about 6 employees (mind you my store is SO small in a small town that almost every employee stopped me at once!) they immediately said- we wont take those coupons. when i tried to explain they get reimbursed through the manufacturer and i was NOT stealing from them they kept saying no- one even shook her head no the entire time i was talking. i was so upset and i felt like a thief when i walked in and was stopped. i called costumer service- who informed me that toys r us policy is to not accept any manufacturers coupons ever. i have always used coupons there for diapers and bottles and games and toys. i am waiting to hear back from corporate!

    • Kim

I just called my ToysRUs and they said they would accept coupons…wish me luck. I will update when I return. I hope I am not treated like a criminal for trying to get a great deal (I plan to donate to our battered families shelter).

      • kim

Ok I am back and unscathed. I was able to get 2 ponies for free. I wish I could have gotten more but they only had 3 in stock so I picked up 2 and bought some of the Hasbro games, too. My cashier didn't even bat an eye and I didn't say a word about the coupon. Things went just as planned (except for the minimal stock on ponies). I wish everyone else had positive experiences!

        • Robin

I did the same thing. Bought 2 ponies and 2 games. Used the BOGO coupon for the ponies and the $5 off Operation and $4 off Elefun. Spent $15 (including tax). Got a $5 gift card and will get $6 via rebate.

    • Karla

I got about $50 worth of pony stuff for around $16. I tried at first to get 2 ponies free, but at checkout they wouldn't take the coupon with the deal. But when I added a third pony I was able to pay for one and get 2 free. In a separate transaction I got a soft newborn and playset, each reg. price $15.99, for BOGO and used the $5 off coupon.

    • triadsupersaver

Does anyone know if you can take this ad to WalMart and price match the deal?

      • Renee

To my knowledge, wal-mart will not honor B1G1 deals.

    • Kimberly

Thanks for the deal! Our TRU cashier was great – she was the manager just helping out! She was like wow, you are getting these for practically nothing! No problems with the coupons – very friendly and patient! I love it!

      • Erin

I went to the Spartanburg, SC store at 8 pm and they were CLEANED OUT. Nothing for under $12. I asked at the desk if I could get a raincheck but evidently they don't do those anymore. Oh well :(

    • carla

I got 8 ponys for $1.76..I have twins so when I came home they were so excited..The would only take one coupon per transaction, their system will not allow two of the same coupon in one transaction? So it was 4 transactions at 44 cent each…needless to say I didn't have any cash and their system wouldn't take debit for that amt so I had to crawl all over the car looking for change lol…it was worth it!

    • jenniehenn

They gave me a hard time about it today but I still got it. The guy didn't even want anything to do with it. The manager came over and said that they were taking them even though the product was on BOGO already. The guy couldn't grasp the concept of making them both 50% which would be the same as BOGO and then giving me one of those free. The manager had to fiddle with the register to get it to take it but she didn't complain about it. My BOGO said ANY my little pony. I bought 2 for $10 TOTAL. They were on clearance from $29 down to $18 each. Awesome deal. They still get that money, they just have to submit the coupon.
I say either take manufactures coupons or don't! I don't like the game of I'll take it today but not tomorrow. Sorry to those that didn't have luck! My husband was laughing at me when we walked out of the store, he's never coupon shopped with me before! :)

I was so glad my TRU honored ALL my Q's today. I walked in about 2 minutes after they opened, told the mgr what I was gonna do with my Q's and he said that would work. I walked out with 4 MLP Pony Friends (using 2 BOGO Q's), a MLP Ferris Wheel and the MLP Family Convertible (using (2) $5/1 Q's). All I spent was $9.99! My daughter will be thrilled in a few moths when her birthday rolls around!

Can anyone tell me where to find Dove energy glow lotion with self tanners in medium color? A friend let me try some, and I really liked it. Now I can't find it anywhere.

    • smikell

I was able to get 6 free My Little Ponies, THANKS!!! I don't even have any little girls but I have little boys that might be invited to birthday parties for girls and I can have them for when little girls come over~~if not, I'll give them at Christmas to charities :-)

    • Anna

On Wednesday I went to Toys R Us and got a 4-pack of Play-Doh, 2 My Little Pony sets, and a Pepsi and only spent 51 cents. I used my R Us Rewards Card, a B1G1 My Little Pony coupon, and a $5.00 My Little Pony coupon. I'm going to save these for birthday gifts. Thanks for a great tip, Jenny!
