I thought the $5 Applied NutritionWalgreens coupon could NOT be used with the Triple Calcium purchase???  Has that changed?

      • Lindsey

I suppose it should be posted that it's a YMMV situation. My “friendly” manager wouldn't push it through but some have gotten lucky.

        • Christi

Mine wouldn't either…said it had to be in the picture since it beeped…of course this was the same manager that warned me as I was paying if I used any RR I would not get the $10 back…um yes I will…different manufacturers.  I may try with a different manager and cashier another day this month and see if it works.  If the Q doesn't say “as pictured” they should allow, jmo.

      • ireneY

Jenny probably copied and pasted from last week. Don't think it's changed.

      • Bianca J Burnett

I got very lucky, got 4 so I made $20 but only one walgreens would do it

      • MarySC

I very nicely requested a manager and asked her to explain why I couldn't use the coupon.  She tried several different explanations but I politely countered her arguments and she ended up allowing the cashier to override the register.
It is not the consumer's problem if Walgreens messes up and has a great store coupon to go along with an RR deal.

    • Jennscaffeinated

Will it let you use 7 coupons for the 6 Gillette items??

      • Lindsey

The Life Water would be your seventh item.

      • Stacie

I am confused about the gillette deal as well. There are 4 body wash coupons in that transaction and only 3 body washes. Can anyone explain this transaction?

        • Tiffany

I was thinking it would need another coupon too. There are 6 Gill products and 7 Gil coupons.

      • No that was a typo on my part.  I play with scenarios adding and removing products as I made them and didn't change the coupons when I changed my purchase plan.

    • Kim

Before anyone gets frustrated at the register, our Walgreens would not take the supplement coupon with the Calcium supplement that is buy one for $10 and get $10 RR.     Also, our local store has limited us to 2 RR per item (still has to be in separate transactions though) until the Saturday when the sale ends so that there is product left on the shelf for others during the week.    We are in Ohio.    Obviously, you could go multiple times during the week, but if you worked up your scenarios at home and then couldn't do them when you got to the store, it could be very frustrating and confusing.

      • Angelskeep

Lately, I am ALWAYS frustrated w/ Walgreens.  Same issue this morning with that.  The used to be my favorite store, even when I wasn't using coupons.  Now I am ready to just take my money elsewhere.  I make mistakes sometimes, but never to deliberately defraud anyone, and it seems nowadays that just using a 50 cent coupon gets a girl treated just like an axe murderer.  I was in the process of sending a lettrer to their corporate office about the coupon siutation, then it erased all my typing whne it had me look for a store.  Sheesh.  Then I called and had an incoming call on my other line.  I will send that letter to corporate tonight though if I can figure out how to select a store and still keep my typing.  I think that enough people who are “playing by the rules need to remind the company who pays the bills.  Even if we are using coupons, we are still customers and they make a profit on our transactions, too.

        • Autie

Yeah, I agree.  I don't appreciate playing by the rules as a customer, and getting treated like a criminal…ridiculous!  I have recently noticed more and more shelf clearing and hearing the employees complaining/grumbling about couponers who are cleaning them out of the RR sales items.  I think they need to have some kind of policy that limits # items people can buy, like the ECB program.

          • Taffyles

I agree with all of the above..am rapidly going right off Walgreens. Every time I go in and use coupons I get attitude ..huffing and puffing..especially when the coupons are internet and won't scan.  I'm on a fixed income and trying to make my money stretch further..some things I can only afford if I have a coupon. i really don't appreciate the treatment I get in Walgreens..it's not like the company doesn't make money off coupons because they do..they actually get 8c extra per coupon handling fee..so I have no idea what they're problem is. CVS is great, Publix is great, Walmart is great.  My hubby needs some Gillette stuff and I'll try and get them this week, but that's it..I'm done with Walgreens.

      • Toni

The Walgreens in Crystal River area does the same thing to people.  They say the item in the PICTURE on the coupon has to be the item purchased,  and that they will not to go by the wording on the coupon.  Trouble with that policy is,  they aren't consistent with that.  Some Walgreens coupons have had wording that made it so that you could NOT buy what was pictured,  but you had to follow the wording.  Makes no sense.  That's why I don't shop there.  Just a HUGE, WICKED waste of time.

    • Rdlanier98

I shop at the Walgreens in Simpsonville SC and was informed by one of the cashiers that in a couple of weeks they will no longer allow filler items to be used in transactions. I have been getting really frustrated with them lately. They make me feel as if I am doing something dishonest by being a couponer. I always make sure to follow each stores coupon policy and I am never dishonest with my couponing. It looks as if I will just be shopping at CVS from now on. :(

      • Jjrutt

How can they not let you use a filler?  How will they stop you, I mean you are buying a product.   Very confused by this statement.

        • Rdlanier98

I agree. I was just as confused. She explained that the policy & wording on the RR would be changed so they could not be used on a filler item. I don't know how they would do it either but I am sure if they can figure out a way they will do it. She stated that the RR's were being abused. I explained to her that I do not understand how that can be because their current policy puts no limit on what the RR can be used towards.

          • Bee

Ok, I had to think about this for a minute. But I guess they are just upset because  we only recycle the RR's and maybe spend .10 on a Laffy Taffy if we have to. In which case, they are upset about the dollar value of what we use to satisfy the RR/item ratio. Well for that I say, Tough! They made up these rules. If they had items at good retail prices I would actually purchase them. But I can't afford to do my shopping there. And don't let them fool you…they post some of the highest retail store profit margins out there. Everyone wants to be as profitable as Walgreen's and CVS.

However, they could alter the RR to mandate that a certain dollar threshold be reached, such as $5RR on a future $10 purchase. In such a case, I would pretend like the Walgreen's chain no longer existed.

            • Dee

LOL. I guess I really abuse my RR's. I use them at my local Publix for groceries! That is the one coupon they still take from any drug store because it is still a vendor coupon and not a competitor.

            • Bamabobbie

They stopped taking the RR's at my Publix in Hueytown, AL just since I shopped there last.

            • Toni

              I love it.

            • Pat

Way to go . I do the same. Bought reach made a profit, Spent it at Publix. Just need more deals like this! Bring them on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

            • Mcleodsc

I wish we had a Publix so I could use RR for groceries.

            • Toni

You know,  the RR are manufacturer coupons.  They get reimbursed for them no matter how low the customers out-of-pocket expediture.  Duh!  They just want us to BUY MORE of their junk. All their whining and rule changing is nothing more than a way to get us to buy even more stuff.

          • Toni

I hate how they say RR are bing “abused.”  I have heard this accusation scores of times back in the days I shopped at Walgreens.  How are customers “ABUSING” coupons if they are following the allowable rules?  Yet I know a manager who whines about this.  Good.  Let them change the rules to suit themselves.  It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that you are supposed to make rules that you want for your store instead of rules that you don't want,  like they have been doing.  (Duh.)  At least with rules that they like in place,  they won't be able to cry “foul” any more when people are simply following the rules.

            • newbie

agree with you toni, plus i thought RR were manufactures so wags will get reimbursed for..

            • Syndilew

The only thing that gets abused in Wags is customers!!!

        • Jenniferdomila

Me too…I mean if I buy some Act Popcorn (this week) what is to say that it is a filler and not an item I want for tonight's movie night??  A product is a product like you said…..tell are selling it and we are buying it…..period…..:)

      • Bee

And to think I thought it couldn't get more confusing….

      • Kristy

That is really weird. Which one in Simpsonville do you shop? The Five Forks one or the one off Fairview rd? Im not a big fan of Fairview Rd unless I am checking out in cosmetics.
But I agree I am not sure how they can't allow fillers. Like another person said how can they deem my popcorn or my pencil aren't for my kids?  If they didn't have a coupon to product ratio then we wouldnt need fillers.

        • Rdlanier98

I shop at the one on Fairview. Not every experience with them has been bad but yesterday just really grated my nerves! I bought a bottle of sunblock and a small piece of candy ($.33). I had a $2.00 coupon for the sunblock and a $2.00 RR. The sunblock was so expensive that I did that to bring the cost down. I felt like the cashier was basically telling me I was abusing the RR program. But I don’t feel that way. The register took both coupons and the RR doesn’t say what you can use the RR for, so I can’t figure out why she thought I was wrong!

      • That doesn't make any sense to me.  How would they classify what a “filler” was.

      • Qponklink

People also make things up for whatever reason.

      • Toni

How can they prevent you from buying a filler item?  That is ridiculous.  Walk away from them and never look back.  (Never go back.)

      • ngcboo

i work at a walgreens and i haven't heard of that just an fyi

      • Huntnbaysmum4

“Filler items”?  Those are purchases, not fluff. I would call and complain to higher ups!  Bad customer service!

      • Kate

How can they even determine what you’re using as “filler”. That sounds suspect.

    • Annabik1278

I don`t know if I should even bother going at Walgreens,I never find the good deals as every time someone else hoards it all :((

    • Ashley

My walgreen NEVER has any of the good sales items in stock. Can I buy everything I want this week and return it and rebuy it next week? Would they allow that?

      • Dee

If you can, go to a 24-hour WAGs and get there at midnight on Sunday AM. That is what a friend and I did last weekend and we got everything we needed!

      • Ediesstuff

I agree… I went in on Sunday morning and they were sold out of the calcium and they told me no raincheck as it would not cover the RR's.  I was told they only had 2 bottles and no truck until the next Saturday….

      • miss walgreens

depends on the manager. its a real pain in the ass and most won't do it. i wouldn't…

    • Jenna

Can someone explain to me the use of filler items and also how can seven coupons for gilette be used if a sobe product is added? I am confused.

      • Tiffany

A filler item is added to allow you to use RRs or to go over the $ amount of the RR you are trying to use. In the Gilette scenario the SoBe is used as an extra item (without a coupon) so that you can use the $10 RR.

The issue of the gilette coupons is more confusing. I think it might have just been miss posted. You can only have one Man coupon per item.

So one more deo would have to purchased to use the coupons listed. Also since  ur are getting 2 of the BW with B1G1 copuons you cannot used 2 of the $2 off Qs. Just 1 for the BW you are purchasing. But you can use 2 of the $1 off deo Qs.

I will try to work it out.

        • Tiffany

This is how I figured it. Not as good as if it would work as originally posted, but still a good deal if you used Gillette. Please let me know if anyone figured anything better.

Buy:(1) Gillette Fusion Razor $9.89(3) Gillette Body Wash $4.99(3) Gillette Deodorants $3.99(1) Sobe LifeWater 20 oz, 99¢

          • Gofast67

I have everything except the free body was coupon so what will that do to my transaction?

            • Tiffany

Is it the B1G1 Body wash coupon or the get a body wash wyb deo coupon? If prices at your store are the same as what is listed the total of G products is over $36 so you should be fine to drop either a body wash or deo (whichever you need less)

          • Thatrodfam

My coupons say “LIMIT OF 4 Like Coupons in same shopping trip”.

        • Kristina Mccurley

Even with a B1G1 technically you are getting 2 items, thus you can hand them (1) $1.00 off coupon and then give them (1) B1G1 coupon.  It is two items so you can use two coupons.  This applies everywhere – except maybe Rite-aid who recently changed their policy.

    • I think I am done with Walgreens.  They don't stock enough of their sale items AND their coupon policy is a pain with the filler items ect.  I don't know…. it just doesn't seem worth the frustration.  I just want to say though, that at my Walgreens the cashiers are very nice and knowledgeable, its corporate that I have issues with.

    • Dlyperkins

So am I able to go in Walgreens and buy 10 SoBe Waters and I will get (10) .99 cents RR and can use those RR on my next purchase?

      • VP22

Nope, you only get one RR. You would have to do 10 seperate transactions to get a reward for each.

        • Caosmom

And remember, you can't use the RR from the first Transactions for the EXACT SAME ITEM on a second or third transaction.  You can't “Roll” them.

      • Whoadez

you have to do each in a separate transaction to get the RR.  for whatever reason it won't give you a RR for each if they are all rang up together.

    • jc'sgirl2536

The only way I get any of the good items that are on sale is if I go to Walgreens at 8am as soon as they open on that Sunday when I get off work and even then they don't have items that are on the new sale which ticks me off. But I have a good manager at mine and he will call me when they come in and place them to the side for me or if they don't come in he will give me rain checks. I do understand the frustration with it because the Walgreens on the other side of my house are complete butts and always wanna hassle me about coupons.

      • Toni

You can be there when the store opens the first day of the sale,  but that doesn't guarantee that you will get the sale items.  I have been told that while they ordered the upcoming sale items several times weeks in advance,  it is up to corporate which stores get which products.  The sales flyers become pointless because it is very “if-y” whether or not anything will be in stock.  You can drive all the way there,  search the store for the better part of an hour,  and find nothing to buy.  It is not worth it.  I no longer believe their advertised sales–they hold no temptation for me–because there is  50-50 chance the sale items won't be in stock. I'm not a gambler. I have better things to do with my time.

    • Ebroyles2001

Does anyone know where the infant care booklet is located?

    • star

same here i am very fraustrated with walgreens…. last time i went there to do 2 transactions purchasing ICY hot. on my second attempt to purchase the item the cashier told me that She wont give me the register reward for it since i have one already–geez this is the same cashier who told me before  that “in a day” i could only use  3Register Rewards..she's pissing me off! my house is far from the walgreens/city – and i really dont grab alot (2-3 items of the same product) of things and she's treating me like crap. i will try cvs from now….

      • Whoadez

I work for walgreens.  you should call and file a complaint with corporate about this.

        • Syndilew

I have called corporate many different times on Wags in our town and they really could care less.  They say that they will have someone in management give you a call and then they never do.  I only look at this ad to make sure that I can't use a straight coupon deal with them.  The RR system is worthless and very uncustomer friendly.

          • Mcleodsc

Call your local police and report the theft of the RR. Once it prints out that machine it belongs to the customer!

        • Kenzbug

That does no good.  I've called too many times and all they do is have the Manager of the store call you back and they always stick behind their employees and totally disregard the corporate coupon policy.  Besides the employees bad behavior is usually a trickle down effect from bad Management.

      • Qponklink

That is called theft. She's stealing from you.

        • Kenzbug

I agree, who's to say that employee doesn't take those RR's and using them for herself?  And as far as not getting an RR because they want to limit the number per customer, why can't that just be said before ringing up the product and it producing another RR?  Sounds like a shady WAGS employee to me.

          • Star_light860

actually, she told me that i cant get the RR before she rings it…so i end up having one lil icy hot and wasted gas :(

      • Toni

Being allowed to use only three Register Rewards per day is cheating.  It is a policy that is not in print.  She sprung this on you after you had already taken the bait and purchased items in order to get the Register Rewards.  Don't shop there.  I have a bad Smallbeans.  I don't shop there any more.

        • star

this Walgreens store im referring is 25mins drive from my place and it is so fraustrating so at times i am forced to go to other Walgreens which is 50mins drive…gas is expensive! honestly, i wanna complain but i haven't coz i dunno wanna come off as a bad customer  esp i shop there every sunday. …could u imagine u would buy icy hot for the second time and since u bought it the first time u wouldnt get the RR even if it prints… fraustraing :(

          • miss walgreens

it is up to the store manager how he or she wants to use the RR program. they can limit all they want. its because people clear the shelves now because they can get it for free, not because they need it. the manager is trying to give everyone a chance at the product. just saying…

    • savinmavin

I go on Thursday morning they are always stocking and I get everything that is on sale with not problem.

      • Lyddiejay

I like to go later in week also.

        • Taffyles

I might try this to get some gillette stuff for my hubby.  My local Walgreens starts the weekly sale on Saturday night at 6pm..I was in there at 5:45 pm  a few weeks ago ..most of the sales items were already gone- 15 mins before the sale started..how strange.  I took one sale item to checkout and was told to wait a few mins to get the sale price..so it wasn't that they had let people purchase early.

Also you can “get the best of both worlds” if they have anything in stock,  by shopping after 6pm on Saturday night BUT the till will not dish out any of the new week's RRs until Sunday. I got a dollar RR on an item and the cashier had to get the manager to do something with the till and I didn't get an RR.. he said I got a dollar back on my debit card…still waiting for that to hit my account LOL

    • katie

if you are only buying 3 body washes, how can you use a B1G1, a B1G1 when you buy deodorant, and (2) $2 off?  You are getting two free, you dont have 2 items left for the $2 coupons?

      • Danielle

If you are talking about the last transaction #4 listed above you are buying 3 body washes and 2 deoderants to use the coupons she has listed.

    • staceyf

I sent a letter to corporate last week and got no response other than my local manager telling me that I would not be allowed to get RR's for things I used MFQ's on, which defeats the purpose for me. I skipped them this week and didn't miss it. I needed propane this week and drove past Walgreens to get it somewhere else.

      • Toni

Keep driving past.  I do,  too.  Not getting your RR when they were advertised is dishonesty on their part.  They advertise RR as a sales tactic to get you to go to the store and buy something from them,  but they aren't interested in keeping their end of the deal.  Don't do business with someone like that.

        • staceyf

He said they were both MFQ's and it was the MF's fault not Walgreens. The week before I had no issues. I can go to CVS across the street and use Q's and get my ECB's, that what I plan to do this week. Eventually, every deal that Walgreens has, CVS will have.

          • love2cyoucoupon

            what are ECB's?

            • Marcie

Extra Care Bucks. Good on your next purchase at CVS. But at Walgreens they are the same thing just called Register Rewards, while Rite Aid's are called +UP Rewards. Hope that helps! :)

      • Caosmom

What???  My local Wal-greens has no problems using a MFQ and you still getting the RR. The Razor deal for 9.99, I use the $4.00 MfQ in Sunday's paper and still get the 5 RR.  EVERY SINGLE TIME!  I must have an AWESOME Wal-greens (Christiansburg, VA) because they ALWAYS make sure EVERY ONE of my coupons goes thru.
I am so sorry you are getting the run around.  Defeats the purpose of the fun you have using coupons!  No, I'm not Wal-greens associated.

        • Kristina Mccurley

I had a terrible experiance at a WAG that I don't normally go to.  It made me love my normal store so much more.  I have had the cashier void a transaction to print the RR because for some reason it didn't print on my transaction.  The manager will hold items for me a day ahead of time to make sure that I get what I need before the shelf clearers get there (but I also make sure I am there when the store opens just in case) I love my local WAG (Lewisville, TX)

          • Taffyles

Oh is that why the salee items are very often all gone before the sale starts in Walgreens?? managers holding stuff back for people they know ..nice.  I'm not a shelf clearer but I'm pissed when I get in the store 15 mins before the sale starts and all items are gone.

      • TonyaL

The manager at a Walgreens here in Clearwater, FL tried to tell me the same thing because my RR did not print. I insisted that my transaction be voided and rung up again.  I told him that I use to work for Catalina and was on the Wags team (which is true) and I know how MFQ's and RR work! He then chose to quit arguing with me and voided the transaction, after ringing it up the 2nd time – the RR printed.

    • jhoran1

For the 30.00 P&G deal, I don't believe you can include the razor and get back an additional 5RR……looks like the razor comes included in gift pouch along with a few other items…I could be wrong but I can't see 2 separate rewards printing for the same deal.

      • Michelle

Actually, I did it earlier tonight and it printed both the register rewards just fine.  I hope it works out for everyone else.  :)

    • mary

As I read the comments, I feel the need to brag on my Wags in Griffin, GA (and no, I don't work there or know anyone who does).  I have never had any problems couponing with them; actually just this past week I had 4 or 5 transactions & the register beeped on one of my coupons.  Neither the clerk nor I could figure out why, and the manager actually came over & helped me rearrange my remaining transactions so it would work out.  He said he coupons too, and sometimes the policy can be confusing.  I was really surprised!

      • Cori C.

Thanks for the info. I live in McDonough and they are terrible. Maybe I'll try Griffin. don't worry, I'm not a shelf clearer :)

      • Kenzbug

I don't know why more employees can't be like your Manager.  I believe most of the employees (unless they are new) know what order the coupons have to be used, so I don't understand why they can't be more helpful in helping their customers instead of ticking them off.  The Wags closest to me has horrible employees right up to the Manager, but I can go 10 miles farther to a different Wags and those employees are just awesome, every one, every time!  It's just a shame that I just can't travel that far for a couple of items, so I usually don't shop at Wags anymore, unless it is for something that doesn't require coupons, and nothing with RR's.  CVS is right across the street from that horrible Wags, so I just shop there.

        • Wooburne1

I've noticed if life in general if you have a grumpy bad seed it infects the whole group. So, if the manager is unhappy, rude or grumpy it will make the rest of the team the same way. This goes the other way also. If the manager is happy, outgoing and helpful their employees will follow.

        • Love2cyoucoupon

It is an awful situation What ever hapened to good old fashion customer service???. That's the very reason why I stopped shopping at my local Bi-Lo. Just shameful.

      • Save a pet coupon

Kudos to my Wal-greens in Edgewater, FL!!!  They are FANTASTIC!!!!  Last week manager asked if he could help me – he went and found the items and brought them to me!  I usually do about 3-4 transactions each week without any problems!

I'm not understanding the Pampers deal.  The other week when they had these on sale, I tried to use a mfr. q w/ the “store” q & was told it was a mfr. q also & that I had to choose which one to use.  I didn't understand & argued with the cashier & manager b/c they take the other coupons as store coupons but not this one….can somebody please explain??

      • Katkoupon

make sure they scan the “real” mfr cpn first, sometimes the store coupons act like mq, so if u scan that sq first then the real one will beep. i used this way a few weeks ago on another sale.
now the wags diapers are a different story, i can NOT get that infant care booklet coupon to work any more (did once months ago, np).

      what is RP

      • Marcie

Probably Red Plum, one of the coupon inserts from the Sunday newspaper

      • Greygaillard

    • Fausum

I don't understand which counts as just a Walgreens coupon and not a manufacturer coupon. I tried to use a P&G coupon on a product with a $1 RR and the cashier told me that the RR's were considered manufacturer coupons as well. Does this mean that I can only use one coupon for each item when purchasing products here even though the coupons from Walgreens can only be used at Walgreens?

      • star bright

      • SuperGrace2002

The RR goes towards purchases you do not have coupons for – that is what I was told at our Walgreens…so I see where above she buys cheap filler items so that it will take the bigger chunk off the items that she buys with a coupon.  Hope this helps.

    • karen

      Thanks Jenny

    • katie

but for the 2 deodorants, you have a B1G1 for one and a $1 off for the 2nd.  Youre buying 3 body washes, getting 2 free with MQ, and I can see using (1) $2 off on the 3rd, but how are you using the 2nd $2 off when you can't on the 2 items you used a B1G1 on?

    • Dani

Where do you get the infant care booklet?  I asked in my store, and the manager had not even heard of it.  Thanks for any help in advance!

      • InkyStink

There were signs posted in my Walgreen's on the baby care aisle.  I ask the manager and she pulled the booklet from behind the makeup counter.  There might be a chance that they don't have anymore.

      • Anna

You might check another Wags.  The one I shop at didn't have them either, but a friend persistently checked surrounding Wags and finally found the booklet. She gave one to me.  She also said, if you do find them, have the cashier scan the coupon out of the book, rather than surrendering the coupon.  These coupons are good for a long time, and you'll want to hang on to them for the next go-round of deals.

On that note, I am still waiting for WDiapers to go on sale BOGO… I really hope they do soon!  $2.50 a pk was a great deal!!

        • elmofam

This week Wags had the diapers on sale 2 for $10. If you used the $2 off/pack in the Infant Care Booklet they were 2 for $6 or $3/pack. That's pretty good too!

      • Jnjtaxi

I believe that I have two I will look and see. Send me your address and I will mail them to you. jnjtaxi@charter.net

      • lisasmith1019

The Walgreens I go to had them behind the pharmacy counter.

    • Samara

I got an email last night from Chicken of the Sea….if you like them on FB you get .50 off of any product of theirs(limited to the first 50,00).  Makes a can 19 cents here…..Probably free at a store that doubles though…

    • Kb

My wags is very coupon friendly and when the calcium wags 5$ q beeped, they pushed it thru.

    • Pradaily2000-coupon

Walgreens would not allow the $5 Walgreen coupon to be used on the $10 RR purchased of the Applied Nutrition product.

      • Guest

They didn't let me use the coupon either.

      • Kb

they should have, it works….. they have to “push it thru”

    • softballmom

Maybe this will give some of you something to look forward to.  During my weekly trip this week the manager at my local Walgreen's said that she had just gotten off of a confrence call with her district manager and all other store managers.  They were refreshed on Walgreen's coupon policy and told to make sure and not make “couponers” feel unwelcome.  They were urged to be helpful and told that thanks to the influx in coupon use that local store profits had actually increased!  They were actually urged to get online and look thru some of the more popular couponing sites and try to understand what it is that their customers are trying to do.  Hopefully this will be a conversation that many other managers are going to be having as well and some of you will begin to have better experiences!  Happy couponing, everyone!

      • chan

It was obvoius that my cashier at Wags went out of his way to make me feel welcome! In the past I have actually walked out without making a purchase when I saw him working the counter!  He still didn't understand how many of the coupons worked and I ended up paying more OOP then planned due to his error. At least he didn't treat me like a thief!

        • Rclay18

I hope my store got a call like this. Just last week I had my cashier void out my purchase and I walked out because I was so frustrated! I've been couponing for over a year so this wasn't due to being a beginner. I was as nice as I could be in the situation, but this is something that all Walgreens should do. I would shop there a lot more often! As it is right now most of my coupons go to CVS which is really too bad because Walgreens doesn't have the limits that CVS does.

      • ireneY

That's amazing! I feel my CVS had that conference call about a year ago. You could feel the change in attitude from all the employees. I still avoid one cashier, who was extra hateful in the beginning.

      • lisasmith1019

One of the Walgreens I go to is amazing!  The cashier even did the coupons in the order we know to do them in!

      • I shopped at Walgreens this past week for one of my very first coupon purchases to get RRs. The guy who rang up my purchase was amazed at the use of coupons along with the RR I received (it was the Degree deodorant deal). He asked me if the coupons were in this past Sunday's paper, and I explained to him that they were from a week ago, and he was just so nice I went back to my car and got an extra set of the coupons and gave them to him! I felt like the coupon fairy!

        • Kelly Valentine

I get the same reaction when I shop at my Walgreen's.  I've even inspired the girls that work there to coupon so they're always very helpful and friendly when I shop there on Sunday mornings.

    • TK

Anyone have any of the Gillette B1G1 deoderant coupons?  I had some and cant find them now.  I would be willing to trade coupons with anyone willing to send them my way.  reply to my post with your e-mail please.   THANKS

    • Bbdy321

went to my store in sc and asked for one of their coupon booklets and the cashier said that they were out but the cashiers all have 1 and if i just told her the coupon she would scan it out of the booklet! and i saw that they have put limit signs on some of the products so we all can enjoy!

    • ashley

I have to say that our local Walgreens (local being 20 minutes from my house in Avon Park, FL) is extra friendly to couponers. They are even hosting a free workshop (with prizes and free coupons) next Saturday to learn how to coupon at Wags! I won't be attending because I feel like I have the hang of it already and don't want to take the spot of someone who needs it. The store also tapes coupons from the sunday papers onto the product themselves, this however leads to an empty shelf rather quickly.

      • Rclay18

I wish mine would do this. I've been couponing for over a year and I still find my Walgreens to be very frustrating at times. I would much rather go to CVS. The only reason I like Walgreens is the fact that they have no limits.

        • Kelleyharold

Yes, but the fact they have no limits is leading to shelf-clearing even worse now that TLC has started showing “Extreme Couponing” on TV.  Every time I go to Walgreens, there is a new person in there with his binder, scratching his head, with a cart full of body wash, deodorant, or razors, and the cashier has to explain to that customer why he can't get them all in one transaction.  The customer usually gets very angry and then starts questioning everything the cashier says.  I have referred many of these wanna-be “extreme” couponers to this site where hopefully they can learn about the sale cycles and some couponing “manners.”  Stores and manufacturers are already changing the rules and restrictions on coupons and I cannot help but believe it's largely due to this TV show and the extreme attitude is has given to everyone.

          • Tiffany

An extremely greedy attitude! I think that we forget moderation. I say get what will last 2 or 3 months until it hits rockbottom again and allow others to do the same. Buy 100 bottles of SOBE just because you can is overboard. :) Glad to see someone who agrees with me.

          • As an employee of WAGS, that is totally correct. We're having to limit things now – even papers! And do crazy stuff with the stock so the customers with rainchecks can get what they got without taking more. Insanely crazy. And it's all because of that stupid show!

    • Jan

I have a question….. I would like to buy ” -$1 off Nature Made Vitamin D3 1,000 IU, 300 ct, Answers at Walgreens: Vitamins & Supplements booklet” today.  I hve the June 2011 Savings Book from Walgreens.  Is there another book I need to get for savings?  I saw last night that they are having a B1G1F ….. Nature Made products ….. can I couple this $1 off (if I can find the booklet?)  Thank you!   Loving learning!   Jan

    • Myracash66

On the Gillette deal, could I buy 2 razors and 2 body wash and get $5.00RR on each razor and $10 RR for $30?

      • Marcie

You can't get 5 RR twice in one transaction. You can only get one RR for that particular reward in each transaction. For example, if you bought 2 razors that were $10 each, you would pay $20 and get back only 1 $5 RR. (Of course that situation would NEVER happen bc we get our razors for less than a $1 around here!)

        • Kristina Mccurley

Myracash has a good question – I know I can buy 1 Razor and get 1 $5.00 RR – but there is also a deal for buy $30 Gillette products and get a $10.00 RR – will we get both the $5.00 & $10.00 RR's if one of the participating Gillette products happened to be the razor with the RR too??

I need help.I have all the gillette coupons except for the free bodywash coupon. How will this mess up my deal if I cant find this coupon.HELP

      • Lala5232

I am in the same situation, i have every coupon in the all the transactions of the scenario deal but the free body wash, so i am replacing it with another 2.00 off body wash coupon so it will add 2.99 to your total out of pocket, making your oop for transaction 3, $5.85.  Total oop will be $12.05 if my math is correct, with 15 dollars of RR you still make a profit. i'm going for it.

      • jhoran

That coupon comes out this sunday 6/5. The early sunday edition comes out on saturday (today) so you can buy that…just make sure the coupon inserts are in there first.

    • Rachel

I never shop at Rite Aid but w/the deals this week I might go…how do RR work? Is it like ECB at CVS?

      • Strawberrydish

Hi! The RR's are a separate printout similar to a Catalina Q in appearance. It prints out after your payment has been processed by the cash register.  They are not quite as good as ECB's, in that you wont get another RR if you use a RR from the same product.
        Example: Buy 1 huggies, get 3 RR's.
if you were to use these RR's to buy More Huggies, then you won't get another 3 RR's.  But if you bought something else that had RR's, you could then use THOSE RR's to buy more huggies, and get another 3 RR's.
Walgreens does not have a loyalty card, and therefore don't track how many of an item you are buying.  But beware! only one RR will print per Kind of item.  so if you buy 2 huggies in the same transaction, you will only get one 3 RR printout.

      • Strawberrypiano

Oh yes, I forgot to mention, RR's usually count as a Manufacturer Q as well. So you will need to make sure that you have as many items as you have manufacturers Q's and RR's Q's.  Otherwise there will be issues!  (usually)
Example: buy 5 items, use 3 store Q's and 5 Mfg Q's    this would be fine, even though there are 8 Q's, the number of MFG and RR's are equal to the number of items.
It isnt as great as ECB's but then there are no limits…. so we have to take all things into consideration.

      • Kathy

RR's are at Walgreens rather than Rite Aid.  Rite Aid has the UP's. And…the RR's are like ECB's at CVS, only much more complicated!

    • Kleighwickham

There's also a rebate for the 3M products where if you buy $20 worth of products, you will get $10 back! :)

      • Angelascoupons1

They had this deal last week.  It is a great deal, but my WAGs did not have most of the items.  Very bummed, as the scissors (if they had been in stock) really would have helped me get to the $20 mark.

    • E_candler

Does Walgreens allow you to buy Sunday's sale items on Saturday night?  I am visiting a friend this weekend, we do not have a Walgreens where I live!

      • I did last Saturday night, they were already putting the tags up and she told me just to remind her that the deal was posted.

        • Taffyles

Yes but  the till won't print out any RRs earned until Sunday.

    • Tam John81

There is also a $1 off any Nivea body wash or shower gel in the May All You magazine on page 38.

    • Bmj2306

I'm curious about the Nivea Body Wash deal.  If I buy 3 body washes and use the B2G1 q, I can still use 2 more $2/1 q's, right?  I think this is correct since the B2G1 q only applies to one body wash, but I need someone to check me.  :)   Thanks!

      • Liz

      • Ddmingez

My WG won't allow it me to use a coupon on a free item, they will only allow 1 B1G1 free coupon a day.

    • mmandaa

Statesboro Walgreens will not allow multiple transactions. :( Still getting decent deals but spending more $$  these days.

      • mmandaa

also, before this “no multiple transaction rule” was pushed through, I was actually made to walk out of the store and come back in to finish my transactions because the cashier refused to ring up my purchase.  During a previous trip to Walgreens in Statesboro my transaction was denied if I used my RR I had just received. I called the home office to double check their policy and was told that I was shopping within their guidelines.  So, I called my local Walgreens to speak with a manager and was told that I was cheating the system.  I only had 2 transactions with at least $100 worth of other product (during the holidays…:)) in my buggy.  Either way, I play nice and continue to shop there, I just dread the checkout!!

      • They're having to limit these things because of that DUMB extreme couponing show. People are coming in trying to get 18-20 of the same sale item and buy ALL of our $.99 papers and everything. My store is putting the papers behind the counter to keep the customers from stealing coupons because they are – taking them right out!

    • BBsmommy

I would love to purchase the Gillette items, but I honestly have no clue what the “Booklet in Select PG products” is or where to find it???  Thanks in advance! :o)

      • Lorifgreer

I got mine in Bounty paper towels.  The super soft kind.

      • Amanda Greeson

proctor and gamble…is one of the three inserts in the sunday paper

    • Martha

At my Walgreens, they will not put the get more from your pharmacy coupon booklet out for people to take home.  They keep one behind the register and you have to ask for them to scan the coupon out of it.  They had to do this because of the hoarders.

    • Rainey993

Do you guys coupon every week. I find I'm spending more money doing it everyweek I mean i get great deals it's just we dont have the money for me to go every week and I'm so hooked.

      • Queuepawn

I coupon every week, but I have a set amount in my budget designated for “shopping” (grocery stores, drug stores, Target, etc.).  I only buy what I can afford with my budget that week.  Sometimes, I have to pass up a great deal because I don't have the money or there's something else we need instead.  I've learned that it's better to be “under budget” than to get another great deal.  There will always be more great deals.  Hope that helps.

      • guest

I use to be that way and would run to the store every week because it was free or a really good deal. I had to tell myself that it's ok to skip some weeks because it will always go on sale again.

    • LuLuBell445

Can someone help me…the old spice B1G1 50% off…if I got a body wash and a deodorant use the free old spice body wash wyb deodorant coupon…would it be free body wash and 50% off the deodorant?

      • Shannonw1983

i believe it depend on which one was more b/c the computer will tak ehalf off the least expensive so it just depends, not a bad idea might use that one myself!!!

    • Colleen

Question re Walgreens buy 1, get one 50% sales — how will they handle the use of a manufacturers BOGO free coupon in these cases?  Will the value of the “free” one / coupon be the full price or the item that is priced at 50% off?  I had this issue last month at WAGS and the cashier gave me the value of the 50% off item.  Thanks, Colleen

      • It's SUPPOSED to be the price of the regular priced item. They can't put in the half-priced one because it doesn't even have that listed on the receipt until the transaction is complete. Because of how our systems work, they both ring up full price and then are taken down after you total it. (i work there and deal with this frequently – but not all cashiers quite know what is going on with coupons)

        • “but not all cashiers quite know what is going on with coupons” … WOW u hit the nail right on the head with that one, lol

    • Thought I would share…

Comet Cleanser, 14 oz $0.50With in ad coupon, Limit 4$0.35/1 Comet Spray or Comet Soft Cleanser Product, any from SS 4/10Final Price:  $0.15

    • Nita Royal

Does anyone know how to get the Omega coupon to print at a normal size?  My first one filled a full page, so I switched the view to 24%, but the second one printed the same size.  I'm thinking that the cashier can't scan a 5 inch wide barcode!  And I don't want to waste more ink that the q is worth.  TIA

      • Rltarkow

You need to go into the printer settings and change the size from full page to “shrink to printable area”(it is a drop down list)…when you do this it should show you what is going to print to the right of the drop down list.

        • Nita Royal

Thank you so much – this worked!

    • Hkitty_65

      Hey Jenny,
The Banana Boat coupon link above takes you to the CVS site. Will Wags honor that coupon even though it says CVS on it?  Thank you.

      • Cayoung_8

I don't think so because I printed that coupon to use at CVS last week and the coupon begins with a 4 so it is a store coupon not a manufacturer coupons.

    • Kelly Valentine

I don't think the Gillette deal will work as posted.  The BOGO coupons end in a 14 barcode.  It won't let you use another cents off coupon with it.  It would have to end in 01 to do the deal that way.  I just learned this at a couponing workshop.  It should be interesting to see if anyone can make it work!

      • Michelle

I made it work without a problem.  I used the B1G1 coupon and then the dollar off on the second one and it worked without a hitch.  However, I understand that most Walgreens are a pain in the butt…I think I just got lucky this time.

        • Mine would not allow both Qs.  I had 4 deos, 2 B1G1 Qs that worked (but she had to manually key in the amounts) but they wouldn't use the $1 Qs in addition.

But I'm in FL and B1G1 are always wonky here, so who knows!  I always read the Qs (not the coding) and if they don't SAY you can't combine coupons then I ask first.  If they don't allow it, I'm always still happy to have used the B1G1 + sale prices + RR!

        • Pinagarcia

yea, they some of the managers and cashiers, get attitudes when they see your using coupons but, today I had a great cashier finally, she was a couponer her self as soon as she saw that I was buying gillettes she said did you get your sunday paper because it has alot of great coupons in it today!! I laughed and showed her my binder! but I for once was able to get everything I went for plus extra deals I found while shopping! I found nivea on sale for 2 for 7 and get 2 RR back making them 2 for 5 then I had $2 off coupons making them 2 for just $1 hell yeah I love the nivea body wash!! anyway I hope that my luck don’t run out because I loved going shopping and finding everything I went for!!

    • Julie

Anyone know the small 10 cent filler item Jenny is referring to?

      • Dslekhobbs

my wags has 10 cent peppermints and loose cande by the register. I use those for fillers all the time

        • Dslekhobbs

    • Jodi4444

When I used my RR today it didn't give me any back!  I read on their policy that if you use a RR then you don't get one for that purchase? Help?

      • Laura

Jodi, if I get a $2 RR from a colgate deal I can eaither use it on another Colgate deal (and I won't get another RR to print) or I can use it on a totally different product like bodywash and the bodywash RR will print. I try to save my RR to use on other items that have RR. Esp if I have coupons for those items! RR are a little tricky.

      • Yes, if you use a RR on the same item it came from, it won't print another one.

    • Brit04

I read on another website, that you can use RR's at other places like Publix as a MF off your total purchase. Has anyone else tried this and had success?

      • Purl1knit2

I have used RR at Walmart successfully.  I did, however, have to show the manager their new (as of March) coupon policy.  They were very nice about it and told all the cashiers about it.  I had no problem.  :)

      • Erin

I use them at my Publix that doesn't take Walgreens store coupons.  I usually have to point out that the RR states it is a manufacturers coupon though.   The last time the cashier called the manager over, and he agreed as usual.  They always scan just fine with no beeping.

    • Colleen H

I have had several problems with the RR's I stopped bothering myself with them. I can get in out of CVS without any problems but here I have issue after issue. They were out of stock the fist day as well and never got anymore in that week.

    • SuzQs

Well, I had sworn off Wags……then tried again when there were a bunch of great deals, and had a great experience….so my love affair with Wags began again.  Then I went today.  I hate going on Saturday because all the sale price tags have already been removed, but it's usually the only day I can get there without a bunch of little ones.  Anyway…..it was very disappointing.  I was worried things wouldn't ring up correctly (since the tags were down), and I was right on several things.  The Listerine rang up for $5.29, and I hadn't caught it in a previous transaction, so….manager took care of it after I was all done (it was in the ad).  The Scott paper towels rang for $5.00.  Jenny's list said they were $3.99, but it was not posted on the shelf or in the ad for $3.99, so they wouldn't adjust it (understandably).  The Off Clip-Ons rang for $8.99, but were listed for $7.99 on Jenny's list – again, it wasn't on the shelf or in the ad, so they would not adjust the price.  The Reynold's foil rang for $2.79 instead of $1.99.  Why the difference??  I know Kroger is different sometimes, but I have never had Walgreens prices be different.  So what could have been an excellent trip (except they had no Ritz, no Applied calcium, only two foil, no Ecotrin, etc.).  I saved about 50% – not very thrilling, but better than a sharp stick in the eye.

      • Joliefemme02

Some of those mightve been part of the 2 day sale for memorial day

      • momof3

I know that the foil was part of the 2 day sale…I feel you…When I have to go with the little ones, I just can't concentrate–I have 3 kids running around the store…One drop of advice…I'll actually drive through somewhere and take them around lunch time…They all SIT in the cart and EAT, rather than fight and the like…I end up eating in the car, but it's worth it!  (And, that's there McD's fix!)

        • Concerned

I hope your kids are much older for you to leave them in the car while you shop.  My oldest is 5 and I would never do that.  I would only consider it with my eleven year old niece for a quick trip and no other little ones for her to watch.  There are some bad people out there, and I would assume you would leave the car running for the A/C.  No deal is worth putting your children in a bad situation.

          • Meghan

She said “cart” not “car” :)

            • Erin

oh good, I was a bit worried.

        • SuzQs

I have a 4-y/o, 2-y/o twins, and a 10 month old who beg and plead to be left at home with Daddy while Mommy coupon shops (ok, it's me who does the begging and pleading – ha!).  They're great, but those Walgreens carts are TINY.  I didn't realize there was a 2-day sale.  That MUST have been some of the price problem!!  I'll be more careful next time!  Now that school is almost out for the summer, I'll be able to leave the little ones with their older siblings.  Couponing takes a LOT of concentration for me!!!  Especially when I've planned my scenarios and they are out of stock!!  Thanks for the replies!!

      • Johnsonter2003

some of that stuff was only on sale for sunday and monday

      • There was the 2 day sale, and there is the in store coupon book and coupons in the ad that HAVE to be scanned to get the price on them. I know the Off! is one of those things. There is a dollar off coupon in the in store book to get it for cheaper.

    • KK

I'm new to couponing. Why do you have to use filler items?

      • guest

At walgreens the number of coupons used can't be greater than the number of items purchased

        • KK

Ok, I get it now. Thanks!

    • Misshart3

In the gillete sample transaction…what is the booklet in select PG products?  Thanks for the help :)

    • Mcleodsc

Just back from the 24 hr WAGS. Cashier told me the sales were not activated yet. I had to wait until the signs were up and the manager put them in the system. I tested this by buying the Sobe. It rang up at the sales price and the rr printed. Ha! Ha!
He was telling this WHALE OF A TALE to the customers as they came in. I guess they do not want the 6-7AM customers actually buying any of the sales. And NO I am not a shelf clearer. I get just one of each item that produces RRs.I get up early and shop before church because by afternoon they are out of everything.

      • Maria

They start at midnight… has nothing to do with when tags are put on the shelf.  He was wrong.

        • Guest

Yep the tills reset at midnight. I was in my Wags at 6 am..got my sunday papers..did the gillette deal, although I had to drag the cashier to come label the deodorants, so I knew which ones were included in the RR offer. he let me do 3 transactions and was so impressed, he wanted to know how to do it, so  I gave him this website URL to learn to coupon himself :)   Have to say that a lot of the sale items were gone (if they  were on the shelves to start with) at 6 am this morning..

    • Dana

What is the Proctor & Gamble 110 booklet? Where can I get it?

    • Ifloat2010

I went to Walgreens at 8:30 pm last night. I asked the cashier what time the sales were “reset” in the registers for the following week and he said at 6pm. When I got to the counter to pay, the manager said that I could purchase the sale items but the RR wouldn't print so I had to put everything that had a RR back on the shelf. Have you all found this to be true? Why would it recognize sale items and yet not print RR? This particular manager is not very coupon friendly so I thought that she was just trying to deter Saturday night sale shoppers.

      • Maria

The sale is not supposed to start until midnight, but some stores set it to start early.  RR are part of the Catalina company system, so they have their computers  (which are in WAGS stores) to start printing at midnight.  Hope this helps.

      • Brittany

I work there – and we all have that. The sales are honored on the Saturday before, all day, but we can't print register rewards until Sunday; it isn't just an unfriendly manager.

        • Ana

          • Michelle

I went to Houston for the weekend and one Wags said the catalinas printed at midnight and the other one said 2 a.m.  I know for a fact it prints at 2 a.m. and don't trust the midnight quote…at least not for the Central Standard Time Zone.  Maybe it's midnight for the west coast?

            • Ana

That's what they told me last night too, at 2AM. I'm also in CST zone in South Texas.

            • Ana

Oops, that was a reply to me…. LOL!

    • Juliana *

Anyone else not get the SS coupon insert???

      • Molly_cheer2010

yeah. totally. and i didn't get SEVERAL of the P&G insert coupons that were supposed to be in there this week. :/

        • Rule #1 with paper ALWAYS look in paper before you leave the store…

          • Sscarborough

funny story….I was at walmart purchasing a paper and was checking it to be sure the coupons were there.  then the “greeter” came over and started fussy at me and told me that was wrong.  I guess he thought I was taking coupons out of one to put in mine….funny, that I was trying to work around those who may have decided to steal or problems with the papers not have all items.  It was like a flash-back to school hall monitors….LOL

            • Sscarborough

              fussy should have been fussing

    • Happy Couponer

I was happy with my trip to Walgreens this morning!  My Walgreens didn't have ANY Reach 30 yard floss at all but they did have the 2-pk Advanced Design toothbrushes in stock.  I bought 2 of them and asked the cashier to try the $2.50 off 2 coupon from SS 4/17 (with the confusing and/or wording).  The coupon WORKED without beeping AND and an extra $1 RR printed as well as the advertised $3 RR making is a $1.50 money maker!  (Maybe b/c I bought 2 packs of toothbrushes???)  Yay!  :)  I also used a coupon that I got for FREE John Freida Precision Foam Color and received a $2 RR – making that a $2 money maker as well.  :)

    • Jessicacourtney1

quick question on wags, can if I pay with RR do I still get them back? Like if I do the Gillette deal, can I use those RR and do it again?
OR if I pay for something else that will give me RR can I use those on Gillette deal and still get RR from that?

      • Nita Royal

If you use RR's from a Gillette deal on another deal, the second set won't print.  This is actually the case across the entire manufacturer's product line, so you don't want to use ANY  P&G RR on ANY P&G product, if you want RR's to print.

      • Brandon

The answer to your first question is no. You cannot use RR's from purchasing a product to purchase that exact same product again. However, the answer to your second question is yes. You can use RR's that you earned from purchasing one product to help pay for a different product, and still get RR's back.

    • Terry

My Walgreens has starting telling me that unless specified, the coupon, or ad listiing is for the items shown in the picture only.  They have done this on several occasions recently, this month being the Applied Nutrition coupon.  Anyone else have this?

      • Terry

FYI, I have been doing this for a few years now, so I am not new to the game.  I did ask to review the policy with the manager, but they were unfortunately understaffed, so the manager was manning the register and they were fairly busy.  I don't care to be pushy, so I let it go and figured I'd go back later to do that.  He did tell me that they are told that if there is any amiguousness to any of it, the ultimate decision is up to the manager, who in most cases is going to side for the store, not the customer.  Wasn't to thrilled with that response, but it is what it is.  At least the calcium was free anyway.

    • anyone tried the gillette deal? does it work?

      • Brandon

It worked for me! I got a Fusion ProGlide as part of my $30 spent on Gillette products, and the register printed out both the $5 and $10 register rewards.

      • Yari1123

Yes! However the prices were differentr so I had to calculate everything all over. The deodorants were 4.99 and the body washes were 4.49

      • It worked better than I expected, though the body washes were cleared at my store so our choices were more limited.  Basically the manager told me *most* of the men's gillette would work since the ad didn't have specific products or sizes.  The razor as well as fusion shave cream worked…and the stick (non-gel) deodorant rang up for an additional 50% off on the second one (ymmv though, I asked my cashier if she was sure since she manually took off the full 4.99 Q I had as well, but her manager approved it saying that those particular deos were marked B1G1 50% off at that store).

        Long story short:

        1 proglide razor 9.89
        2 deodorant gel 4.99×2
        2 deodorant solid 4.99×2
1 fusion shave gel 3.50 on sale
        Subtotal:  33.35

        -$4 Q (razor)
        -4.99 (B1G1 deo)
        -4.99 (B1G1 deo)
        -2.50 (deo solid 50% off)
        -1 (shave gel)

Subtotal 2:  33.35 – 17.48 = 15.87, and it printed both $10 and $5 RR no problem, so we spent .87 plus tax for the lot.

I know everyone's stores and cashiers will vary, but I was thrilled to finally get one decent deal because our Wags are always ransacked.

        • Ana

were all your coupons from today's paper? i don't have some other ones on the original transacton list.  thx

          • Hi, I'm sorry, I didn't list.

            -4Q razor was 6/5 PG
            -1 shave gel 6/5 PG
            (2) B1G1 deo 5/15 RP

I was lucky to still have 2 of the deodorant since the body wash was cleared out.

There are several ways to work it with today's Q's as well so long as your store has stock.  I know from my trip that the razor, shave gel, body wash and deodorant should work.  I don't know about the shave skin care where there were also Q's today, but it wouldn't hurt to ask if your store is low on body wash and you don't have the deo q's.

            • Ana

Will the deal then technically also work with today's B1G1 gillette body wash free? Instead of getting 2 deo, get 2 body washes with the 2 free, the fusion razor, and a shaving gel should be about $30. Dould always throw in a proseries item and use the $2 off Q?

            • Ana

If I'm gettting this couponins right, instead of the (2) b1g1 deo, use (2) B1G1 body wash. It's a bit more out of pocket, but still a great deal!

Still trying to figure out how to work the Old Spice B1G1 coupon with store's B1G1 50% off! I want to get for my dad. He lives alone and doesn't have a steady job.  I gave him some of my extra goodies I got the past few weeks (Schick shaving gel, Degree deo, Speed Stick Deo, Mach 3 razors, etc) and he was so happy! He was shaving with soap and water!

    • couponing rocks!

Not an exciting trip to Wags, but I was happy, especially when an extra 1.00 RR printed for the toothbrush deal.

      2 Reach Total Care Toothbrushes @ 2.50 each = 5.00
      2 Newspapers @ 1.00 each = 2.00
      1 Sobe Lifewater = .99

2 – 1.00 off Total Care toothbrush (Catalina coupon that printed from Wags a while ago)
4.99 in RR from last week

Total OOP with tax = 1.54
      Received 4.99 in RR (3 for Reach plus a 2nd 1.00 for Reach & .99 Sobe)

HORRIBLE Walgreens day!!!  I'm new to Walgreen's (Love me some CVS!) and was unaware that one coupon per item applied to Register Rewards! The Gillette transaction didn't work as planned bc they took off the 50% off item instead of the full priced item and deo was $4.99. The cashier also didn't understand the coupon policy and really messed up my transaction. Had to go back in and get the manager to fix it. Hope everyone else has better luck than me!

    • Erin

Does anyone know if Walgreens carries the O Cedar Promist mop?  There is a $5 rebate.  That should make it a pretty good deal with the half off.

    • Mynaneen1

What a trip I just had.  I was there when the store opened.  I got the gillette deal, the vitamins, and the sobe water.  Long story short, I paid 25.74 and got back 25.99 RR. There is a lady that sells the sunday paper for 1.00 out of her car and she had several set aside for me that has just the coupons and not the  newspaper.  Granted, there were only 2 deodorants left.  I just got luck on that deal.

    • Yari1123

No Beeps at the register!!! WOOO HOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! :) Great trip, eventhough the shelves were cleared out of the old spice according to the cashier by a lady who had her cart full of the omega supplements and the body washes as soon as the store opened. I managed to grab one of the omega supplements and overall I got everything I needed and walked out with $15 in RR's

Hi couponers is there anything we can do so your shopping trips are better then they have been I have cut coupons for my customers helped them with their deals and transactions have gift bag give aways offer a raffel of one employee discount shopping trip a week for one lucky customer every week. All the sba”s and ba”s in my area are bending over backwards to make our beloved customers happy but there just must be more we can do we are not managers so are hands are tied to want we can do but please tell us give us some ideas.

      • Theresalane25

I like Walgreens but they never have the sales items in the one store that we have in our town. The cashiers are very helpful and the mngrs are great too but without the items why does anyone go in there. The reg. prices are too high. I have even checked to see if it is hoarders  but they say they do not get the items in. I have checked back after next truck came in and still nothing.

        • WAG EMP

Sometimes our distribution centers do not have enough product to go around to 25+ stores so they send some or none to us. And some items are ordered at a managers discretion. These ads are planned months in advanced but our managers only know of whats coming weeks before. when you have 25+ stores all wanting to order 50+ Icey Hots to please out RR shoppers it just cant be done.

      • Gofast67

same here I cant stand it every time i go into most stores there is no product. Why have an ad if the store is not gonna to carry the inventory.

    • Yas

FYI: if something is BOGO 1/2 off  and you use a BOGO free coupon then the item that rings up 1/2 off is the one you will get for free. If customers continute to clear the shelfs then there will be item limits. if you do plan on clearing the shelves then speak with a manager and order your merchandise.

        • Efranks41

I checked this sort of deal out the morning at Walgreens. You will end up getting 2 at half price each. The clerk said the “free” will be the lowest price which would be the 50% item. I decided to hold my B1G1 until the store sale is B1G1. Then, both will be free.

          • Efranks41

            Sorry, that was  “this” morning.

          • Denise Johnston

hi just starting couponing and wanted to know how a B1G1 along with the stores B1G1 will make it free and you explane it to me.  won't you have to pay for 1 to get the free.

            • Tam John81

When the store has a B1G1 sale, the store's sale is providing you with one free product and the manufacturer will reimburse the store for the one you have to purchase because of the coupon.  Hope this helps.

            • Darmstrong91

I went to walgreens today and they had ice cream bogo and I had two dollar of coupons and I only got to use one coupon. I thought I could use both 1.00 off coupons?

            • Zee

I think this was because sometime walgreen’s register’s ring up differently. I haven’t done in a while but check your reciept. If one item rang up full price and one item at 0.00 then you can’t do it. If they both rang up for half price then you can. Hope that helps

    • estella

if ii buy 4 razors in one transaction will 4 RR print out? can someone answer for me

    • Couponlikecrazy

What do you mean when you say Booklet IN SELECT PG PRODUCTS?? they are in a booklet or on the products – I'm new to this so sorry if its a silly question =) thanks!!!

      • Adivel99

They are in the product.  I got mine in Chamin TP & Bounty.  The product will say on the outside if the coupon booklet is in there.  There are some really nice coupons in that booklet.

        • Couponlikecrazy

    • Josamky63

I went to Walgreens this morning and was very pleased!!  I bought (2) 2 pack of the Reach TB, (2) Gillette Deodrants, (3) Gillette Body washes, (1) Gillette Fusion Razor, (1) Sobe Lifewater, (1) Omega Smart Fish Oil, (2) Garnier Shampoo, (2) Garnier Conditioner, and (6) .10 cent filler!!  Total spent $21.27 total saved $70.63.  And I have $18.00 rr left for next week!!

      • Sonmay33

Hi you did that only in one transaction or you divide them to use your RR.

    • Coupongal18

Not a big trip this week to WAGS but I was pretty excited about what I did do!!!

I did two transactions – one this morn and one when I went back to town to get groceries. There were the same but here it is:

      (1) Bic Soleil razors
      (1) Sobe water

      Total: $7.43
      Used – (1)-$3.00/Bic
                 -$1.50RR (last week)
Total: $2.84 OPP plus $2.99 RR for next week

My store had a limit of only one RR per purchase so if I had boughtthem at the same time, I wouldn't have gotten my RR so that is why I did two transctions

    • Llgossard

question? How come they limit the proglide savers now? Pretty soon we wont be able to stock up on anything!?

    • Llgossard

Question…How come walgreens and rite aid limit to only 1 proglide razor per household that stinks soon we wont be able to stock up on anything…

      • cs

        rite aid its 2

      • katie

its one per transaction.  you can buy as many as you want, just dont use the $5 RR from one to pay for another or you wont get the RR the second time.

    • Michelle

Bought several of the Sobe Water and the flavors sounded yummy so I was excited to try one.  Got home and tried them…they're not.  Horrible after taste!!  Now, I wish I hadn't bothered.  At least they were “free”!!

      • Angelascoupons1

I love them, so maybe it is a matter of personal taste?  You could use them in “summertime” gift baskets for teachers for end of the year.  I'm using some of my coupon finds to create gift baskets for my kids' teachers….BBQ sauce, nail polish, snacks, drinks, etc.

      • Mxmom99

How many did you get? and did you get a RR for each one or can you get only one? i dont shop Wags much, Thanks!

      • Jjrutt

I had never tried teh SOBE water, I actually loved them, my kids also love them, I guess it is just a matter of personnal taste.

    • Ashley

      Here was my Gillette deal:
      4 bodywashes: 4.49 each (17.96)
      1 razor: 9.89 (9.89)– it was marked 10.99
      1 shave get 3.50 (3.50)
      Total before coupons: 31.35
-2.00×2 off bwash (use first) 4.00
      -4.00 razor
      -1.00 shave gel
      -2 B1G1 (9.00)
      13.35 total
got back a 10 RR (total purchase of 30 or more) and 5 RR( for the razor)
Made: 1.65 which really just covers the tax

      LOVE IT!

      • Ana

were all your coupons from today's paper? i don't have some other ones on the original transacton. thx!

        • Ashley

No, the 2 dollare off ones were from a couple of weeks ago I think…. You can type them in her coupon database and it will have when/where I got them from.  I always cut them out so I don't know the dates.  Good luck!

      • Ana

Thanks Ashley! Basically, since I don't have the 2 – $2Q my total woud be $17.35 out of pocket.  If I do get the $10 and $5RR back it's still worth it to get all those products for a few bucks!

    • Hnaboone

Check clearance!! My store had Gilette Bodywash for $3.19!!!

      • Angelascoupons1

My store's deodorant was high…$5.79 each, and the B1G1 coupon only goes up to $4.99.  However, I scored on the store's mistake:  that had mistakenly tagged the double deodorants (where there are two in a package) at the same price as the singles, so they had to honor it.  So I got twice as much deodorant at no extra cost!

    • TJ

Let me start out by saying I had a wonderful and pleasant trip to Walgreens 2day. I went to 2 different Walgreens and both stores the Cashiers were so friendly. At the first Walgreens she even asked how many orders I had and helped me split them up.The 2nd Walgreens I normally going go to my nice little lady was there and was so helpful as well. Here is what i got:

      2-Gillette Deodarant 4.99
      4-Gillette Bodywash 4.99
      1-Gillette Fusion Razor Kit 9.89
      2-Nivea Facial Cleanser 3.50
2-Walgreens Orange Slices (filler items) .49
Total Spent : $15.07 (which $4.99 came from previous RR rewards I had received which made my total as stated)
      Total Savngs: $ 41.54
      Received $17.00 Back in RR

      • Tina Brooks

Did you get the $10 RR that they were offering with $30 spent on Gillette products? Just wondering because I went today and spent $33.00 before coupons in Gillette products and the RR did not print. The manager told me it had to be $30 dollars after coupons. I even had her subtotal just those products before I gave her my coupons just to make sure that I had $30 worth. I had to have her completely void my entire order. Thanks.

        • katie

no, mine definitely worked with $30 before coupons.  I had 1 razor, 4 deodorant, and 1 shaving cream.  Used $4 off razor, (2) B1G1 off deodorant, (2) $1 off deodorant and a $1 off shaving cream.  Got the $10 RR and $5 RR for the razor.  it should have worked for you!

          • Yolanda

Yep, it worked for me too.

            • Taffyles

He told you wrong…because my Gillette deal worked …I got the two RR's $10 and $5.

        • TJ

After reviewing my receipt it looks like I had roughly $35 in Gillette products before coupons.

        • TJ

Yes, I did receive the $10 RR on the Gillette products. I had roughly $35 in Gillete products before coupos after coupons I had after coupons roughly $25…hope this helps

        • Angelascoupons1

At my store they printed with only the $30 purchase BEFORE coupons, not after. Did you actually try it to see if they printed?  I think that some of the managers don't know what they are talking about.

        • Mel_Jolley

This deal worked for me. The manager tried to tell me that it was after coupons and I said, “no, because you get all of the coupon money back, just like I paid full price”….she had no problem after that. It was a very pleasant trip…..it doesnt hurt that the ad says nothing about before or after coupons. Any stipulations should be in the ad or at least announced. Try again somewhere else if you really want this deal.

    • Jen

Why do I keep trying to shop at Walgreens?  I just leave in frustration every time–they had nothing at all I wanted to get on sale by the time I got there (around11–I can't go any earlier because I go after church).  What's the point of having a week-long sale if you don't have stock to last a week (or even a couple hours!).  I give up.  I'll stick with CVS.

      • Mistie_blevins

I have to say I agreed with you fully a few weeks ago. I was fed up with Walgreen's and much more loyal to CVS. However, I had a very nice cashier one day and took the time to ask about always being out of stock…she told me they get their truck on Tuesday. So when I was going to the store on Sunday it was at the end of their stock week. I went back on Wednesday and have had no problems ever since. Try asking when they get their truck for restocking maybe??

        • JTTLC

My store also gets stuff in on Tuesdays….I used to get frustrated and then I just happened to shop one Tuesday morning (cannot remember why cause that is not my normal shopping time) and they had EVERYTHING.  Everybody in the store was putting everything out.  I have tried to do that if every since….much less stressful!

          • Couponstef

Good tip to ask about the truck – I found it to be helpful and go back Friday afternoons after they have stocked all day.  Also, I noticed today that the 2 stores I went to in Toledo today were well stocked on everything and had no problem with 3 different transactions.  I commented that they were well stocked – I wonder if they have gotten a lot of complaints and did something about it.  :)

    • Jenniferdomila

Wanted a little break so I did a 'mini' Walgreens trip.  My husband was low on body wash so I went in with 2) 2.00 off of Nivea Men's body wash and 1) B2G1 from the June All You mag….so basically I got three high dollar body washes for $1 (that was after my $2 RR)….picked up some Sobe water just because I love it and was thirsty…got 2 big bags of the M&Ms and one little bag….all in all I spent about $4 and came away with .99 RR for next time…not bad for a small break of a mini trip…..

      • Bamasaver

I'm planning to try the same scenario for the Nivea Men's BW…glad to hear you had no problems with it!  I just hope they have some in stock when I stop by on my way home from work tomorrow…what an AMAZING deal to get three NIVEA products for $1.00!!!!!!

        • kimichika

I just used the same scenario with the Nivea today and it worked GREAT!

        • Ana

I got home and realized I messed up on my nivea transaction. I used a b1g1 free body wash from the All You June Magazine and only $1 off a body wash I had. I ended up getting 3 body washes for $4 after RR. Not bad, but could have saved more =(

      • Ana

Where are the $2 off Nivea Men's BW coupons from? I also used the B2G1 from the mag, but only had a $1 Q so I paid $4 for the 3 body washes after RR :[

        • JTTLC

It was in this Sunday's papers.  I forget which insert.  But at least you paid less than what you normally would have paid for one….I get bummed out too if something does not work out.  Sometimes it not about the money, but the time spent in planning it out!

      • Conniej1958

Where are the $2 coupons on the Nivea Mens products?  It is showing $2 off Nivea For Men body wash, 8.4-16.9 oz, RP 6/05 and -$2 of@2073de588424263f1ebca39c128b56c2:disqus f Nivea For Men face care or (2) shave gels .5-7 oz.
No Nivea in my red plum inserts, nor can I find them at redplum
        Help!  Please and Thank you.

      • Matherholly

        who did you call?

    • Angelascoupons1

Fabulous day at both Walgreens and CVS!  Out of pocket at WAGs was $18 for $108 worth of items!  Good news….the B1G1 and dollar off coupons for the gillette body wash and deodorant both worked (even though the B1G1 ended in a “14”…something debated on this forum).  My best deal turned out to be on the Chex Mix snacks, which we take to the pool all summer.  Because I had the mq for $1 on two, the in-store q is on a group of 3 and the sale is in a group of 3, I bought six at a time.  They come out to $.66 each…the cheapest I've ever seen.  So I got 12 bags.

Still more hassle than CVS and had a small hiccup with one of the transactions….but very worth it!

      • Jjrutt

I also did teh chex mix deal and got 12 bags.  These are great for my kids at snack time and on teh go.  i also did teh pringles deal and got 9 cans for under $1 a can.

    • Yolanda

I am so excited about WAGS.  I'm sorry to hear about all of the bad experiences many of you are having.  This is only my second week doing WAGS, and I am hooked.  After going to the 24 hour WAGS first for the past two weeks, I realize that there must be couponers in my area that go in the middle of the night and buy up all the bargains. I got there at 7:30 this morning and they had only one thing on my list.  Then I went down the street to the other WAGS that opens at 8:00am, and they had everything on my list.  There were other four other couponers in the store and it was funny how we were worked together to help each other out finding the items we each needed, and no one was hoarding. I even talked to one of the ladies outside the store.  We shared our tips, coupons bring strangers together, LOL.

So here's what I got, in three transactions:

      2 – 2pk Reach Toothbrushes
      1 – Omega Fish Oils
      2 – Gillette Deodorants
      4 – Gillette Body wash
      1 – Gillette Razor
      2 – Comets (filler)
      1pr – Trouser Socks (filler)
1 – Grape Water Flavor (filler)

Total OOP: $15.55, Saved: $68.16, RR left over: $15.00

    • Fowlerb1988

I don't know if this is already been asked but does anyone know if you can use the nivea for men bodywash coupons on the womens nivea bodywash? just wondering if i can get away with it :)

      • Mel

It's only supposed to be used on mens

      • Emkristine76

I work at walgreens and most coupons work with anything as long as its the brand if you have any type of coupon like say a gilette body wash it would take the coupon off if you bought deodorant its wierd but still saves money

      • Couponstef

Generally it will work but this is coupon fraud (called decoding) and illegal.  In the end the store may not get reimbursed for the coupon.  It's best not to do it, we don't want the manufacturers to release less coupons or put lots of restrictions.

        • Anonymous

I am not sure how you got to fraid and “decoding” Such manner is not decoding. Consumer simply made a mistake and presented a wrng coupon.  Stores get reimbursed because coupon reimbursement is not matched with each and every transaction. Coupons are sent for reimbursement in bulk like pieces of paper without accompanying ant receipt or transaction. Given large retailers like RA, CVS etc sellingt millions of those products, there is usually no questioning by the manufacturer.

      • Anonymous

Coupon is intended for product that has been advertised in that coupon. Although, coupons will work interchangeably on any product as long as it is the same brand, does not mean it should be used that way. $4 Gillete proglide coupon will work fine for let’s say any item with Gillette in brand name such as Gillette body wash etc. You will notice that first set of numbers are UPC that are the same for all products that start with that brand name and that’s why they work interchangeably becuase computers are simply programmed to read only the first set of UPC codes from coupons and match them up with UPC codes from the products. (First set of UPC codes on coupons and their brand product would be the same). I am guessing that will change soon as technology improves and decoding gets more sophisticated to spot and match the correct item and sizes with respective coupons.

Given cashiers are behavings like coupon police in many many areas/stores, I doubt you can get away with it.

    • Angela

I was about to completely write Walgreens off after this morning.  I went to 3 different one this am between 8-9 am.   They did not have anything in stock (except the ProGlide razors).  At the 3rd one, I did get 1 razor, Nivea sale, and a bottle of Caress body wash for $6.  Ended up going to Rite-Aid and getting 10 Gillette Deoderants for $3.68 after coupons & +UPs after last week.  Knowing that the trucks come in on Tuesdays now, maybe I will make my shopping day for then instead of wasting gas and getting frustrated.  One more try!!  I apparently need more practice.  I make out my list w/ the different transactions, but they never seem to work and I don't get the reward points for the following transaction.  This is because what I wanted to buy is not in stock.  You would think they would plann better knowing people are going to stock up on the sale items.  Ok, I feel better after venting.  Thanks.

      • fabulosity

Unfortunately it all depends on the warehouse as well. Stores can order all day long, but if the warehouse can't distribute fast enough then there is nothing the store can do about it.

    • Downtown25babe

what items do you use for the filler items… I can't seem to find $.10 items. Thanks :)

      • Couponstef

I have never seen 10 cent items, however, they usually have Laffy Taffy for 15 cents near the registers.  :)

      • Pinkchick82686

i go to the clearance section, usually something for .10-.20

      • Jjrutt

They did have Easter candy for 10 cents. otherwise I just use something cheap by the registers usually.

      • Daisy88646

i have also seen candy sticks 4/$1. so for a quarter, its not bad.

      • Zee

All I have been able to find are 39 cent Chiclets

    • Mel

I went to Walgreens today and bought over $40 gillette and $30 after coupons and no RR $10 printed.  The manager told me that Proctor and Gamble sponsored the RR and if I used any PG coupons I would not get the RR $10.  What with that??????

      • tobi

I would 1) ask the manager why is you are able to get the $4 RR when you buy the razor and use a PG coupon b/c PG puts on that RR too. 2) I would be calling corporate and catalina and complaining…The manager if anything should have given you $10 back in cash. This is what my mgr does at my Wags when the RR don't print….

      • Srreynolds

We used P&G coupons for the raxor and still got the RR.  I'm not sure the mgr is correct.

      • Kathleen

I spent $32 on Gillette products and did not receive the RR. The manager went to the back and printed out a form, specific to Gillette offer, for me to mail to P&G. It indicates they will send me a RR for $10 upon processing.

      • Mel_Jolley

She is full of it. I did the same deal today, needless to say it worked. Also, did the ad say that you couldnt combine coupons with RR offers???? No, it didnt. Go over her head and get what you paid for.

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

This is laugthable. I guess the same employees would have told you it was $30 before coupons if your total was below $30 after coupons; and now that you have $30 after coupons, then they came up with a new idea. There are many idiots out there who are making up things as they go along. System and procedures are very simple and laid out for consumers. Spend $30 and get $10RR means what it says. You are still “spending” the amount regardless of method of payment. Coupon is a form of payment.

Newbie did my first coordinated Walgreens– a very small one, but still fun. I did a Buy $10 from these items and get $3 in register rewards. All three items were things I needed, were on sale plus I had a coupon for one of them. Then I took my $3 in RR and applied it to the store sale Covergirl buy 1 get 1/2 off with 2 Q for $5 off 2 Covergirl Naturaluxe line PG 6/5. I got 4 fabulous colors of their SPF tinted Naturaluxe gloss for $11 instead of $30. yay me!!

    • Ana

I've checked and re-checked my Q from today and I didn't get the $2 off Nivea for Men coupons. =( Bummer! No wonder I couldn't get a better deal on them today! I'm in South Texas.

    • Dunnbunchmom

This scenario does not add up!!  I ended up with a good deal, but this did not work!! :(

    • Faye

Sat. I was out of town and went to a different Wags than I usually shop at.  I was told that you could not use a store coupon and a MFG coupon together. Ecotrin store coupon 99 cents with $1 Mfg coupon.  The salesperson said that would make it free with 1 cent over.  I tried to explain that she should just reduce Mfg coupon to 99 cents.  She called manager and she voided the Mfg.  coupon said I couldn't use both.  Also refused B1G1 and 75 cent Degree coupons .  I had 4 items for the Degree , She said I could use only 2 coupons.  The coupons had already scanned with no beeps, but she voided them.  Said people were trying to use to many coupons.  Should I complain or was she right.

      • Mommaof1

Complain! Walgreens has given a number of people I know a hard time about coupons and it's because their employees don't know their own coupon policy.  I would call corporate and tell them instead of complaining at the store level. That way the information can come from someone higher up and there will hopefully be some coupon education to the employees as well.

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

It is one of those nutcases employees who have a hard time believing that you can get items for free. It is all marketing and there are many items that are now even advertised to get them for free with coupons; so their objection is totally out of touch. They need to be educated; I would call the corp right from the spot and see if they can call them live and educate them so that you could just re-enter and get the transaction that was legi.

    • Miamiseaturtle

We found a metallic purple color Rimmel nail polish was on clearance. I don't remember the name right off, but it was priced 2.19. Used $2 printable coupon and b1g1 coupon from June ALL you. Expected to pay 19 cents, but nail polish rang up 2.00 so we got 2 for free :)

      • Coupons_deals_101

What is the June all you ?

        • Zeegirl84

          A magazine and website allyou.com

        • Joanna

All You is a monthly magazine with coupons in it.. you can buy it at walmart or subscribe to it and get it by mail

    • Vbelk

I bought the Reach Toothbrushes yesterday and because I used two $1 coupons, the register reward that printed was only $1.

    • Mel

Love when an unexpected trip to walgreens goes better than I expected. Expecially with no planning ahead. Plus the shelves had not looked liked they had even been touched.

      3 nivea mens body wash
      4 packs of reach toothbrushes
      1 sobe water
      dora bubbles pack-filler

      I did 2 seperate transactions.
paid 3 oop was all taxes.
      used 4 rr
2-2 off men nivea body wash
      1-b2g1 free nivea body wash

    • Janice Bills

I have a question I see the Old spice is b1g1 50% and I have pg coupons for b1g1 free…could I use my pg coupon with the store sale and how would that work.
      Thank you

    • Janice Bills

I have old spice on sale in my area for b1g1 50% and I have two coupons b1g1 free..could I use these together and how would that work?
      Thank you

      • Mel_Jolley

In the stores that I shop, it doesnt benefit me to use a B1G1 coupon on a B1G1 50% off sale because they give you the 50% off item as the free item. No discount on your actual OOP. So, its the same deal if the stuff is on sale or not…..unless your getting a RR for buying two this week…..on the up side, if you dont get a chance to use it this week, it will be good next week too!

        • Janice Bills

      • Stephanie

My Walgreens gives me the full price for the free one I end up paying 2 something for both of them. They are getting reimbursed full price for the product from the manufacturer and if you pay full price where does the half price or free item come in? Looks like they just got paid full price for both items

    • Rfarmer

Why do you sometimes need filler items? Is it when you have a negative register balance?

      • Zee

when your register rewards and coupons outnumber the number of products you have.

      • Orange_Slice3

You have to use filler items when your register rewards and coupons outnumber the number of products you have. As Zee stated. But you also have to make sure that your taxes are not being covered by coupons. say you buy 3.00 worth of product and your coupons and RR you have would bring your entire purchase to 0$, they won't allow you to do this because you cannot include taxes with your coupons. Typically I just add an extra item or two or however many i need for under a dollar that I don't have coupons for and that clears up the tax issue and allows me to use my coupons and RR how I see fit. Laffy taffy is wonderful imo for this because its only $.15 each.

    • Mel_Jolley

Not sure if this has been posted yet…. The BW at my store was $4.49, the DEO was 4.99. The shaving cream was on sale 2/$7. Since my store was out of DEO any ways….I did this: Gillette Deal!!
      (4)Shave gel 4/$14
      (2)BW $4.49
      (1)Razor $9.89
      Used (4) -$1 shave gel mfc (1) B1G1 BW (1) -$2 BW mfc (1) -$4 razor mfc
OOP: $21.58….(my taxes are 9.75%) Got back $15 RR (spending on groceries)
      Total: $6.58!!!!!!!!
All of these prices are Middle, TN Walgreens

    • Srreynolds

Not sure if this is posted on here yet, but you can use two of the $2/1 Nivea face care coupons (found in another of Jenny's posts from this past weekend) for the Nivea shave cream.  This brings the total down to $3 for both BEFORE RR.  I got my husband two cans of shaving cream for $1 OOP.  Not a bad deal for something that normally sales for $3.50 each.

      • Zee

YES!! There are $2/1 bodywash coupons too. When you use two of them with the wags sale, after RR you only end up paying 50 cents per bodywash….loves it!!

    • First post on here…my Walgreens was fully stocked on everything for the Gillette deal…I got
      1 razor
      2 deodorants
      2 body washes
      1 $4 Q razor
      1 $2 Q body wash
      1 $1 Q deod.
      B1G1 deod.
      B1G1 body wash.

$32.85 before coupons (including 2 filler items)
$15.87 after and I got back $10 RR and $5 RR!!

      • Philiprushing

i did same thing and did not get rr mgr. said total had to be $30  after coups. b.s.

        • jcompman

          same thing with me.. I got the $5 rr, but not the $10… I didn't use a previous P & G register reward…

        • fabulosity

The sales that state spend $30 get whatever the amount does in fact mean spend $30 before coupons. It makes total sense to me I guess because I work in the retail circuit, but you could have asked the manager to void the sale and just start over. Some stores will do that for you.

        • Liz

Call Catalina!  1888-8COUPON.  have your reciept in hand, and they will tell you why you didn't get it or mail you RR if you were supposed to get them.

    • MomThomasof4

couple of months ago I received a MAN coupon for $2 off 2 reach total care toothbrushes that print out of the Walgreens register.  Since Walgreens is having the REACH toothbrush sale, I would like to use it.  Now this is my concern, if anyone can answer this for me…will I receive the Walgreens RR for $3?  THANK YOU!!!

      • A few weeks ago I got a manufacturer q for 5 off pampers diapers that printed at walgreens. Today I used it on a package of pampers and still got the $1 rr. Not sure if it will work the same for your toothbrushes though.

        • MomThomasof4

Thanks ladies…guess where I'm headed?  lol

      • SUsanne

Yes, I used the same coupon yesterday and the $3.00 RR and another $1.00 RR printed as well.

        • MomThomasof4

Hope the same happens to me!

      • Bkmgreen

I had the same $2/2 coupon you are asking about. Used it today on the Total Care toothbrushes and did receive the $3RR with no problems.

    • Kimmy

Hello everyone can someone tell me if the in-ad coupon counts when you are figuring how many fitters you need?

      • Mel_Jolley

I always get a filler item if the number of coupons out-weighs the number of items…..no matter what kind of coupon it is….

      • Liz

they don't count.  just act like those coupons make the item on “sale”.  you only need fillers based on your manu. coupons.

    • Pronmoore

I went to Walgreens today and all I bought was the Reach toothbrushes – buy 2 for $5.00 and get $3.00 in register rewards.  I used two RR for a total of $3.50 and paid $l.50 oop plus tax.  When the RR's printed from this transaction, I got the $3.00 RR and another one for $1.00.  Can anyone explain this?

      • Wooburne1

        So did I. I got 2 for $5 used (2) $1 OOP was $3 and got back $3 +$1 RR making $1 profit!

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

I am suspecting it might be a monthly deal to get $1RR wyb 2 Reach or for perhaps just buying one would get you $1RR.  Basically weekly and monthly deals are overlapping. Just to be sure; does the $1RR have Reach as manufacturer?

      • Angelas001

I got two also Reach toothbruses, and was excited to find a peely for $2/1 on each of them! For some reason the second coupon wasn’t going through and the cashier typed it in and it only came up for $1 off, but I’m not worried about it since I still made $2 from buying 2 toothbrushes! I’d also gotten $3 RR and $1 RR, each from Reach. I’m going to tomorrow to see if they have any left. More for the donation box :)

    • Candice

This post doesn't have to do with this weeks deals, but I would like to thank Jenny!!! I just got my rebate check from doing the neuragen deal a few months ago at wallgreens! This was the first rebate deal I have ever done and I am so excited it worked! Thanks again Jenny!

    • Orange_Slice3

Not sure if anyone has pointed this out, maybe i missed it. But, with nivia on sale right now at WGs I thought I'd point it out. There was a buy 2 get 1 free coupon out within the last 2-3 coupon circulars on Nivia Body wash (men or women). Might have been in a sunday paper SS or red plum. Or an All You mag. But its there somewhere. Anyway, the 6/5 paper had $2 off any nivia body wash. So you can buy 2 at about $3.50 each and use two $2 off coupons for them and get a third one free. Makeing the two you had to buy 1.50 each. 1.50×2= $3/3 bottles = $1 each and you get 2RR back when you buy two so its $3 for 3 bottles – 2 RR = $1 for 3 bottles. Long story short.. STOCK UP!

      • Brandy

Yep, I figured this out too and took advantage of this deal earlier today!  :)

        • jessc5

          me too!

      • Ana

So I went to get yet another Sunday paper that was leftover to see if I had not seen the $2 off Nivea BW and it was not in my RedPlum insert. Bummer!

      • Slturner02

the Q was in the June All you.

    • Sherri

Newbie to Couponing and Walgreens needs help  :)
I went to Walgreens today with my coupon binder in hand and a plan.  At least I thougth I had one.  I bought one of the gillette razors that is on sale.  It was 9.99 and I had a 5 dollar coupon from the paper yesterday along with a 4 dollar register reward from a previous purchase.  When it all was said and done, it did not print me the register reward for that purchase.  When I asked the cashier, she said if you used a register reward to pay, you did not get the register reward that was supposed to come with the purchase.  I asked why and she said that is just the way it is.  If this is true, then how dumb is that?

      • Heatherb1131

i would email or contact walgreens, i did with my complaint and the executive emailed me back 2 hours later!!  good luck

      • jcompman

was the previous register reward a product of Proctor & Gamble? If so, Walgreens has a stupid policy of saying you can't use the same brand Register Rewards on another same brand offer.. So, if say last week you bought Crest last week and got Register Rewards and it said on the Register Reward: Compliments of P & G, then this week, you can't use it to get a Gillette Razor, because it's made by the same manufacturer… Dumb policy, but that's my understanding of Walgreens rules.. Unlike CVS, you can EBs on anything, no matter what manufacturer it is..
Now, if it's a different manufacturer, than you should of received the Register Rewards…

        • Jcompman

Basically, if you use Register Rewards on the same manufacturer, then they won't print out if you buy another or the same brand by the same manufacturer… You can't use a P & G Register Rewards on another P & G offer that offers Register Rewards.

      • Liz

Contact Catalina 1-888-8COUPON.  They are great at looking into it and explaining why it didn't print, or if you should have gotten it, they will mail it to you!  Just have your receipt handy.

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

        Read This==>

This is tricky. If you received that $4 RR from P&G and used it to get another $4RR also from P&G, then register reads it as if it is from the same “deal” and thus wont reprint a new RR. This is a way of WAGs limiting the quantity as Wags does not have a store card like ones for CVS and RA.

However, there is misconception about this on this board. If you have a different amount RR from P&G, let's say $10RR from P&G and try to use it to get a P&G deal that would get you a $4RR for some other P&G product/deal, then yes you can use the same manufacturer RR. As long as the amount from the same manufacturer is different from that of an anticipating new RR, then it should work normally.  The same has been true about Colgate. Using $4 RR from Colgate deal worked normally to get $2RR from another Colgate deal.

Anyone having a different and reliable experience, please post

    • Teecee

My Wags had a big shelf full of nice quality youth t-shirts on clearance for 25-75 cents. Might be worth looking for…

    • Heather

i went to WAG today and i bought 6 bottles of gillette body wash. it totaled 32.47 and i handed cashier 3, buy one get one free coupons and 3, $2 off skin carecoupons. i was told the body wash wasnt considered skin care. so i asked for a manager. he came over and told me i couldnt use them and voided transaction and rang everything up again. he didnt hit total first so the computer didnt register that i purchased $30 worth. I paid around $14. and the register rewards did not print and i was told i couldnt get them because with the B1G1 coupons, i technically didnt spend the $30. I am not a happy customer

      • Wooburne1

I think your manager just didn't want to try and help you. I have a great manager at my store he brings me coupons and if I'm looking for something he goes and finds it for me.

      • Mel_Jolley

This is completely incorrect. You should call Corp.

      • Kasicalhoun

I went to wag on sunday early in the morning because everytime i go the shelves are empty. Anyway, I bought 3 bodywash 2 deodorants and 1 fusion manual razor. I went to check out it was like 35 something before coupons. After coupons with tax it was 13.00. But no RR printed at all. The manager came over and said it was because I used coupons and that is not spending $30. I said no way I've used them before and it worked. He voided it twice and rerang it all different ways without the coupons and no RR printed at all. Finally, after they opened up another register, some girl, who said Oh I guess that show has everyone all crazy, got a $10 RR and they just gave it to me. So no $5 for the razor which was disappointing, I wonder if it's a company wide error that it's not printing. I'm in SC btw.

      • RN

If I were you I would return everything and go to another Walgreens. They will refund you for the full amount and will not subtract the coupons that you used because regardless the manufacturer will reimburse them for the full price of all the items.

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

That is incorrect and the manager and employees at the store need to be educated. You did pay $30 or whatever, just not exactly in green currency we know; store did not give them to you for free. You did make a purchase of over $30 and should have gotten RR with no problem.

    • Wooburne1

I like Sobe Water…….I love Sobe Water when its FREE!!!!! I ask my wonderful Wags manager to stock up for me.

    • Birgit Gilbert

I'm confused, is Jenny saying that the fusion razor can be included in the $30 Gillette deal and I will get the 10 RR for spending $30 plus the 5 RR for buying the razor?

      • TJ

Yes, the razor is included in the $30 Gillette deal. At least that is what happened in my purchase and I received the $10 but I also had other Gillette items as well such as 4-Gillette Body Washes and 2-Gillette Deodarants and 2 filler items so that I could use previous earned RR.

        • Birgit Gilbert

          thank you

          • Casablancafashions

That is correct! You will get both: $5RR and $10RR when you include the Gillette razor in your $30 purchase :)

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

Yes, include a Proglide razor as a part in your $30 purchase to get additional $4 RR on top of $10 RR… It is working !

      • Sregis0628

        yes…worked for me yesterday!!

    • Momnwife

whats the policy at walgreens?? i know that their RR counts as a manufacturer coupon but can i use a walgreens coupon and a RR for the same item?

      • cool coupon dude

        I think you can

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

    • cool coupon dude

      I did this twice today

      6 body wash $26.94 (4.49 x 6)
      1 shaving cream $ 3.50
      1 sobe water $ .99

      used 3 bogo ,3 $2 off,$1 off and a 10 reward

      paid $ .96 + tax total $3.17
received $10 reward and $.99 reward total paid $2.18

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

You could have done even better by replacing two body washes with proglide blade and using $4 Q. Your total due amount would have been about $2.50 higher than whatever it was; but you would have gotten another $4 RR on top of what you already got.

On a side note Gillette BWs are $5.49 (the larger size) where I am

        • cool coupon dude

i was going to do that but the cashier said it would not print both rewards

          • Mysterious_Mentalist

Unfortunately, employees are gravely mistaken. I never rely on employees and use my own logic and it always works. Computers work on number logic. The $30 is for the sale of certain items including proglide. At the same time, proglide has its own $4RR deal. All the computers do is to read the total $30 for the required balance and it clicks to generate $10RR; at the same time, the computer reads a proglide purchaed and it clicks to generate a $5 RR for it.

    • Learnintosave

Was at walgreens tonight getting my nivea bodywash and saw some peelies for Mitchum $1.00 off deo.( just FYI)  Also I have a question. My Wags  FINALLY  got some clean and clear morning burst in, and I got a rain check from it when is was on sale a few weeks ago,B1G1, but my man Q(also a B1G1) had expired.  They would not let me use my expired coupon.  I would think since they did not have any for several weeks they would honor my coupon.  I guess not??

      • Khjbcoupns

i used my clean and clear raincheck and bobo man q's on monday.. eventhough the man. q's had expired the lady didnt hesitate to take the man. q's… its all about coupon friendly customer service.. i get it that they dont have to accept the expired man. q's when you have a raincheck.. but i certainly will go back walgreens on dallas in marietta ga every time i need to shop at walgreens… its just a good business practice.. they scratch my back and i become a loyal customer… my suggestion for your learnintosave.. is when that happens .. ask them to cancel the entire order.. everything.. and walk out empty handed.. find another walgreens that will work with you..

      • Angelas001

Sometimes when you ask at the time you get the raincheck some stores will staple your coupon to it so that even if it's expired they'll let you use it. I think they're just being nice though, and it'll vary by store.

    • Clineleann

I bought 4 papers and search all of the papers before, and none of the papers had a RP?? in southeast MS

      • shellie

i'm in central ms and one of my papers had TWO. but several had NO p&g's. we really need to check the papers before purchasing! it takes a few minutes, but worth it!

    • Clineleann

random question?? can you use a B1G1 Manufacturer qpon and a $1/1 Manufacturer qpon together?? i thought u could but Target wont let me?

      • Odinvsaver

you can use a b1g1 manufacturer q and one other manufacturer q if you are purchasing two items. one q per item. if you have a store q and a manufacturer q, you can use both on the same single item.

    • noone

I had my first bad experience with walgreens today. I attempted to do the $30 worth of gillette products. Well the store i went to was having some remodeling done and they didnt have any signs posted about deals and RRs. So my total was like $28 and i knew i needed something else to add so i tried the smaller sized shave gel. I asked before i checked out if it would work and the cashier went and asked a manager and she said yes it should still work. Well turns out i didnt get the RR. So they refunded everything to me and i bought another gillette product. she was ringing me back up and i handed her more coupons. and the STORE MANAGER told me that i would not get the RR because you had to spend $30 AFTER coupons. I tried to tell her she was wrong and she just got an attitude and was like Well im here to tell you that it is not going to work. I just told her to go ahead with it. and sure enough the RR printed out. And she was like well that wasnt supposed to happen. Ughh and then i got to the car, looked at my receipt and she didnt even refund me for the shaving gel. I was so mad. Its pretty bad when the store manager doesnt even know how the RRs work

      • Lindaschulz1

I was told the same thing and did not get the deal as a result. I almost always have a prob. with big deals.

    • noone

another cool deal is the Suave body wash. i didnt see it in the add but at my store if you spend $10 in Suave products you get $3 in RR. i bought 6 body washes, They were $2 each and used three B1G1 coupons.
      so 2.00 x 6 = $12.00
      @440570be7cd6184ff7f944c282b5dcc8:disqus      –  $3.00 RR
                         – $6.00 worth of B1G1 coupons
                         = 6 body washes for $3.00 or .50 ea.

      • Erica

After seeing your post I went to Walgreens today and did the same thing! Thank You I had a $5 RR that expired today :) For some reason the girl ended up taking off $9 on the body washes, so I ended up with 6 body washes, a bag of apples and reese's cups for 1.63 & I got $3 in RR.

    • Mysterious_Mentalist

You should have gotten $100RR and $5RR; no one should tell you otherwise. Sometimes their catlina machine is not hooked up to register correctly or perhaps it was malfunctioning. The manager was totally incorrect and possibly incompetent

    • Mysterious_Mentalist

I think you can use two coupons although one of the items is priced $0.00. You are still buying two items. RA recently changed that and would accept one Q and none for $0.00 item. To my understanding, WAGs is still up and running with that policy of using two $off coupons even if its store sale b1g1 free

    • rdh

OK…So I went yesterday and did several transactions.  I tried doing the Gillette deal with the razor, 3 body washes, and 2 deoderants.  I had a really nice cashier but she couldn't get the all the coupons to go through.   She pointed out that P/G have changed some of the wording on the coupons to “Limit 1 coupon per purchase for products/quantities stated”and that Walgreens have changed the computer systems to pick this up.  So I ended up with the razor, 1 bodywash and 1 deoderant, was so confused, didn't spend the $30 and didn't get the $10RR.  Wasn't a good experience today.  Has anyone heard of the coupon limits on the P/G items?

      • Coupon118

Wha walgreens are you at? I went to the one here in virginia and they did not know about any $10RR for the 30$ purchase.

i did the gilette/nivea deals on monday without any probs.. got over 145.00 in products for 36.00 out of pocket with 25.00 in register rewards to spend next time.. used the bogo and $ off coupons together without any probs.. took 5 transactions but i have the sweetest lady who helps me at walgreens on dallas in marietta ga… she is a doll.. so patient and helpful.. it is a bit out of my way but well worth the extra few minutes to get so much help…

      • Angelascoupons1

No….I just don't get it b/c my Walgreens used all the coupons without a hitch.  I can't understand why the variation between stores!

      • Mcleodsc

The wording states that you can only use 4 LIKE coupons in one order. For example trying to use more than 4 of the BOGO gillette coupons in one order or trying to use more than 4 of the Dawn coupons in one order.

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

“Limit 1……..per purchase….” and on is not something new. It has always been like this. You may use up to 4 like coupons in 1 transaction. The purchases you had should have worked perfectly. Wags registers are notorious for giving false errors. They should have pushed them thru one coupon per item.

      • glt2011

yes it’s one coupon per item, if u have 5 items you cant use 6coupons BUT if u pick up anything even at .01 u can use the 6th coupon. I work at walgreens lol so i know the rules and the way around them! Also if you put thru our store coupons 1st then the manufactured coupons it will take both along with a reg reward all on 1 item. confusing i know lol but hope it helped

    • Isha_gray01

Where can I get the $1.00 off Dawn Dish Liquid Q? I had a PG from the sunday paper but didn't see it?

    • Diz

Question: has anyone tried to print or use more than one of the Omega smart fish oil coupons.  When I printed, the barcode is coming up the same, even after I cleared my cache.  I don't want the store to not take my coup b/c they think I copied it.

      • Liz

the smart fish oil coupon is a general coupon the company put out for a limited time.  they are all the same….there's no PIN numbers or anything on them.

    • Ltrotter8518

Pickens Wags has the Nivea lip care Last Chance for $2.19.  If you printed the $2/2 coupon back in April, that is a good deal for Nivea lip care.  It is the best!!!!  :)

    • mp2011

I don't know what happened today when I was at Wags.  I used a $1.00 off Reach Total Care toothbrush coupon that printed as a Catalina at Wags one time when I went.  I bought 2 of the Reach toothbrushes.  After I checked out, 2 Catalinas printed.  The $3.00 off and an extra $1.00 off.  Does anyone know why this would have happened?  Both of them said compliments of Reach.

      • guest

There is a catalina running buy 2 get 1RR buy 3 get 2RR buy 4 get 4RR. I bought 4  toothbrushes and got back 3RR(sale from insert) and 4RR for buying 4. It was a mm for me because I had 2 dollar coupons off each. Hope that makes sense

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

I think one 3RR is from this week sale and $1RR for buying 2 Reach is a monthly deal. basically, 2 deals have overlapped this week.

    • Brooke Clark

Geisha brand canned tuna is on clearance at my WAGs for 50 cents a can!

    • beth

did not know at walgreens if you used a reg reward and was buying something with  a reward back you would not  receieve that reward found out  today

      • Terri

You will not receive the rr if the product you're purchasing is from the same manufacturer that is from the rr you used. You will if you use a rr you received from buying a product from a different brand however. Read the advanced tips at the top right hand when you go to the walgreens sales and it will explain better.

      • Haley

You can not roll a RR if it is from the same manufacturer parent company, no Gillette RR on Gillette deal. Otherwise mine rolled fine last week.

Although it could also be a local policy, I hope not for your sake it makes it much harder to work the deals. However if you buy vitamins and such on thhe B1G1 deals you can use RR to pay for those sorts of items and pay more cash oop for the RR stuff. Bottom line works out the same.

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

This is pretty much well-know here-ypu can not roll the same RR to generate a copy of the same RR deal.

However, there is persistent misunderstanding on this board. You may use same manuf. RR to pay to get a new RR from the same manuf. IF the dollar amount of the RR you used is different from the anticipated RR after the transaction. For example, you may use $10RR from P&G to pay for P&G Gillette razor to get the $5 RR at the end of transaction without any problem. Anyone has had different experience, please post.

    • Cosgirl

I am glad to view this web site there is hardly any hate here just help.

    • Ashley

Finally had sucessfull walgreens trip! I went this morning and they had everything I wanted and they give %15 with military id on tuesdays (who knew?). So I got:
      4 Gillette B/W @ 3.82 each
      2 Gillette Deodorent @ 4.24 each
      2 Gillette Proglide Kits @ 8.41 each

      2 b1g1 b/w
      2 $1off deod
      2 $4off progllide
      2 $2off b/w

Spent 18.94 (not including tax) and got back $20 in RR

      • Mel_Jolley

Is this an Active Duty ID or Spouse ID?

        • Ashley

          I used my spouse ID

      • Kash_FL

Hi, please help me understand. How did you get back $20 RR? Isn't it $10 RR when you spend $30. And you only spend approx $40? Thks!

        • Ashley

I got $10 for spending $30 adn $5 for buying the razor. I bought another razor in a sep transaction and got another $5

          • Kash_FL

            Ok thanks! Good deal.

    • JMT<3JER

Okay…I am trying to understand all this.  It's a bit overwhelming.  I noticed on the sample package deals that it shows a -$RR which I assume is from the week before.  How do you get started with all of this to get those RR from prior weeks.  May be a stupid question, but I am def. curious about doing this.  Thank you!

      • Tiffanynjenkins

You just have to buy stuff to get the RR

      • Mel_Jolley

I always want to minimize my out OOP spending, so I purchase products that when combined with a coupon are cheap (something I use) and they offer RR. My husband goes through razors faster than I can buy them, so I took advantage of the Gillette deal. I basically paid $17.00 OOP (before TN crazy tax) for a razor, 4 shave gels and 2 body washes….BUT I got back $15 RR. Now, over the next two weeks I have $15 RR to spend on deals (RR dont expire for 2 weeks). It works out great!!! If you are just starting out it can be overwhelming, but the key is to start small and NEVER BUY THINGS WITH YOUR $$$ THAT YOU WOULDNT USE JUST TO GET RR, unless it is a new product that you want to use, just couldnt afford it….and it is offered with more RR than it costs you after coupons….like the  fish oils. If you take them any ways, consider switching your brand so that you can make a few bux for next time.

        • JMT<3JER

Great! Thank you so much for the advice.  I am super excited about this adventure!

    • Haley

Just getting back into this, I needed to work down my stock pile on H&B stuff, we took two years to use up a stock pile I built in less than one and I did pretty well balancing things. Curious to see if the TV show makes things harder at the grocery store, so far  have not seen them feature drug stores.

Since I am rusty I wanted to run this by you guys.
Have 2 $5 RR from last weekI only have the coupons from this past Sunday, booklets seem pretty easy to find in store so I am counting on those coupons. I can't work out the $30 Gillette deal which is a bummer, hate to miss out on a money maker but there will be more.Scenario Idea

You might want to head to the store and see if they actually have all the items you are planning on purchasing.  It is easier to plan ahead knowing which items they actually have than to get there and have to readjust your plan because they are out of items.

    • Priscilla_aquila1611

Does anyone have the q # for the pampers

      • Tiff715

        • Priscilla_aquila1611

Thx now I can get papers free bc I still have $5q from a couple months ago tipped Ur the best!!!!

          • Priscilla_aquila1611

Sorry that's suppose to be pampers and Ur name but my smart phone is correcting me

    • Tamcaster

Went to Walgreen's this am. I did the buy $30 worth of Gillette and get $10 back in RR. Not only did it print out a $10 RR, but it also printed out a 2nd RR for $5. So after RRs and coupons I got all the Gillette stuff for free! Anyone know why it would have printed out a 2nd RR? (thought I'm not complaining.) :)

      • Ldymadona

Probably because you got the Razor which also has it's own RR for $5.

      • Estherlodico

Did you buy the proglide razor? It has a $5RR

    • mommameggie

Is the Infant Care booklet in the store or is it mailed to your home?

      • Lzbacnik

        In the store.

    • Ldymadona

Just a FYI for everyone reading this….the  Answers at Walgreens: Vitamins & Supplements booklet is full of coupons that say Walgreens on them, however, they are manufacture coupons, not store coupons as listed above. The bar codes all start with a 5 and they are scanning at the register as MFQ. Bummer.

    • Mrschristie

Went to the walgreens in Ooltewah TN and finally got the RR thing to work… they didn't have what I went for but my husband uses those VERY expensive gillette refills for his razor so I bought the 8 pack and the razor itself… I got the 10 & 5 RR which i used to buy some other things… paid 7.12 after it was all said and done… YIPPEEEE!!! I did it backwards first and the cashier was so very helpful and voided it out so that I could do it correctly! Super nice and helpful! Was a good trip even though they were out of most things i really wanted!

      • Afseago

How do you do it backwards?

      • Mcleodsc

        How much were the refills?

    • Evansmom2004

I went into Walgreens tonight to get the $30 Gillette Deal.  Bought 5 body washes at $4.99 and a razor for $9.99.  No RR printed.  When I spoke with the Manager, she said it was because I used coupons to bring my total down below $30.  I told her that was incorrect, but she kept pointing at the circular stating that it said you had to purchase $30 and I didn't, so I could not get my RR.  I don't believe she is right because I have done similar deals where the RR printed.  I told the Manager this as well and she again stated that I had technically not purchased $30 worth of merchandise so the RR will not print.  Is that correct?  If not, is there anything I can do to get my RR?

      • noone

it happened to me too. i used coupons and the manager said she had to warn me that the RR rewards wouldnt print. i told her she was wrong. but she persisted that they would not print. i went ahead and paid for it and sure enough they printed. i think you should return evverything and try it again. the razor that you used might not have been the right one. because i almost got it when i went. the right razor is 9.89 (not 9.99) and it has a battery. make sure you got the right one. that razor might not count toward the deal

        • Evansmom2004

Thanks for the advice.  The razor was a Fusion, but not a Proglide.  I think I will return everything and try again.  Thanks!

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

Your manager is incorrect. Technically speaking, you did purchase over $30 worth products. Coupons are form of payment. Registers/computers work on number logic and they are programmed to read the prices scanned for the product regardless how you pay for them. You should have returned them all and tried again on a different cash register. There might have been a problem with their catlina machine.

Also, the razor is Proglide and not any other, I think.

      • GTM2006

I had the same issue!!!!!!! Both of the transactions I did over 30 in gilette and both times it didn't print. Either way I think I got a decent deal without the RR. I can't complain saving over 60 bucks with coupons and only spending 25 was good enough for me.

    • Daune

Are you talking about a military id.  What's the deal.  I need all the savings I can get.  Thanks

      • Janell

I use my military id and get 15% off everything!

    • Cgilmore1155

Just went to walgreens and it was not fun like CVS. I had 2 items, 1 coupon for each, and $2 rewards to use towards my purchase.  I didn't know that the rewards count as  a manufacturer coupon so I had to buy candy as a filler because there was a big line behind me and I couldn't go and grab something I needed like the 50 cent comet cleanser. GGRR!  I can't eat sugar, so I have a sucker if anyone wants it. =)

    • Samantha

I have 2 $8 Healthy woman register rewards my friend gave me one because she said she would never use it in time, will I be able to use both at the same time?  I was wanting to do the gillette deal next and thought that be great if I could.

      • Zee

I think you can!!!! great freind

    • Zee

hey guys. WAGS has a kit for the gillete profusion razor for 9.89 (includes trial washes), I got it, 4 body washes 4.49, 1 shave gel 3.99. My total came up to maybe $33-34. I used the following coupons in this order
      2-$2/1 Bodywash
      2-B1G1 bodywash
      1-$4/1 razor
      1-$1/1 shave gel
      PAID 11.87 oop
      Got back 15RR

Then I used the 5rr to purchase the nivea deal and a sobe as a filler, then flipped that and got the omega with my $10RR. For other fillers I used raisins that I found in the candy aisle, they're flavored and were 50 cents

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

that Gill. proglide kit has been out for a while and has been just as good as regular G razor for sale and RR

      • Timsims01

By my calculation, the coupon total only adds up to $17.98?  Am I missing something?
        2x$2  ($4)
        2xb1 ($8.98)
        1x$4 ($4)
        1x$1 ($1)
        =    ($17.98)
        Did you skip a coupon?

        • Timsims01

          Never mind…just saw the $5rr….sorry.

      • CouponMom

I tried with 1 razor, 3 body washes and 4 deodorants,,, It didn’t print the $10 RR b/c is said it wasn’t part of the $10 off $30 Gillette deal. :(  Very frustrating.

    • TAhjuannia

I had an issue today at walgreens. the asistant manger refuse my $2.00 off coupon for $2 off Omega Smart Fish Oil PRINTABLE. she stated that it has to have the yellow dot the yellow. i had 2 coupon use another a different walgreen and the cashier took it.

      • Zee

I used mine with no problem. I think the issue is don't only get one thing when buying something. get a few items, fillers and other things you need and it shold work because they aren't being as nitpicky. When they see one item and its on sale and you have a Q, sometimes they deny it before even trying to scan. I bought the omega for my mom, a sobe water, and a few candies. I only had 1 coupon and 2 register rewards, so the products definitely outnumbered  the coupons

    • Katie

How does a bogo coupon work when the item is on sale bogo? Sorry I'm new

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

Item 1 will scan at a price and item 2 will scan as $0.00 on register. Manuf Q. will kick in for the item 1 price and reduce it to $0.00; Thus, both items will be now $0.00 for a sub-total.

        • Amberj

You may still have to pay sales tax though! We usually do!

    • Angela

I'm  really trying to decide if shopping at walgreens is a good deal or if it is just better to go to walmart and price comp the items I need on sale at walgreens and use my compouns at walmart?I seem to buying things I really dont need to get the register rewards to use on items I do need. Most of the time they are out of most of the stuff because I only have 1 WGS near me and can only go shopping on 1 day of the week.Any advice from others  wondering the same thing? Thanks.

      • Julies_biz

I'm finding it easier to just price match at Walmart.  I do love Walgreens but they are almost always OUT of everything I need or want. :(

        • Angela

Thanks Julie,I still have to go to walmart anyway and they are never out of the items I need(except any travel size items it seems, lol…Since the coupon craze has hit they are always out of the travel size items.I also seem to be spending more oop each week going to the different stores instead of just doing it at walmart.I am just starting to buld my stock pile on items..

    • Sba

You girls are sure southern ladys

      • Angela

        yeap southern all the wayLOL

    • Movinon

Where do you find the “booklet in select PG products” ?

      • Ericahbrinson

My friend gave me hers from Charmin toilet paper

        • Movinon

Thanks.  I guess that means I need to go on a “hunt” for PG product I already have?!

    • Kim

      Does Walgreens accept competitor's coupons??????

-$2/2 Kellogg’s Crunch Nut cereal, 10.8 oz +, Publix coupon sheet

      • Tiff715

no, plus publix isnt a competitor I dont think, since its a grocery store

    • Floydus87

Okay, not really upset, just slightly annoyed. Could't get the Gillette deal because yesterday our Walgreens' manager had to limit everyone to only 2 transactions due to product availability? (It would have been my third transaction.). Both trucks have been in this week already and the stuff for the deal wasn't on them…..MAJOR BUMMER……

    • 4otowngirl

Question..Not new to couponing, but since I don't coupon at Wal-Mart much, I want to know how you price match??? Do you show the cashier or manager an add or something?

      • Floydus87

Yes. It helps if you have the ad.

      • dsquared9895

all you have to do is bring in the ad, show it to your cashier and they should match it.. they also accept competitor coupons

    • Dolbyx40

when shopping walgreens and you buy for instance 10 SoBe LifeWaters do you get 10 .99 RR?

      • Rose Crowder

Look at the fine print it should say limit of ____ rewards per transaction.

      • Mandi

No, you would have to do it 1 at a time.

    • Fishnfools97

Have never needed to ask this but since I cant find a single thing to use my RR on (and fixin to expire), can I use them at Publix since they are a manu q?

      • Babynurseheather

I dont have a Publix near me so I'm not sure but I know you can use them at Harris Teeter!

    • Vicki

Having trouble figuring out how many register rewards I can buy in one transaction.  From looking at comments, it looks like more than 1 can be used, but at our store, some say one 1 item, some say 2.  Does this vary per store or is there a set gudeline?  Vicki

      • Rose Crowder

It should say how many will print in each transaction. Usually it is one but if it says 2 then it should print 2.

        • Vicki

Thanks –  not sure I asked the right question (rushing as usual).  I see transactions posted here where 2 or 3 items are bought in 1 transaction and each get RR back.  At our store, for some cashiers, if I have 2 products that get RR, if I try to pay for them at the same time, I get RR on one, but not the other.  Other times and maybe with a different cashier, I can buy 2 products in one transaction where both get RR. and they both print out.  I went to a WAG out of town last weekend and could buy 2 items in 1 transaction where both got RR an the both printed.  Went to our store yesterday, asked if I could buy 2 items in the same tranaction and get both RR and the guy said no – I had to pay for them separately.  Wasn't sure  what the actual policy is??

    • Lisa

I hope this doesn't sound dumb but what is Get More From Your Pharmacy booklet and where do I get it? Sorry again I'm new at this.

    • Brandy

Went to Wags and did the Gillette deal tonight! Got 4 body washes, 4 deoderants, and one razor. Also got the Nivea deal (B2G1). Spent $17 OOP and got back $18 in RR's ($10 for $30 in Gillette, $5 for Gillete razor, $3 for Nivea). Pretty solid trip!

      • Jamitim

can i ask what coupon combo you used

    • Lisa

What is Get More From Your Pharmacy booklet and where do I get it? Sorry I'm new at this.thanks Lisa

    • Rose Crowder

There is a $1.50 off coupon for the 9.9oz M & M bags that used with the store coupon & sale this week brings them to $1.25/bag. Our store only had the pretzel & almond ones on sale for 2/$5 – $1 SQ – $1.50MQ

Also at our store were the Crayola Color Wonder & Explosion travel packs for 1.99 then rang up 1.49. I had some $1 & $2 MQ from a Sunday paper (sorry don't know which one) so in one transaction I got them free!!!

    • Kristen Fisher

Is it odd that at my Walgreens (@ several stores) the deals that are advertised as free or that you could easily make a profit on are missing? By missing I don't just mean an empty shelf… I mean the shelf is bare and there is no sales tag indicating what is advertised in the paper. For example the Sobe Life Waters were sold out completely and the shelf tags all said 1.99 with no mention of the .99 sale or RR. Same with the Triple Calcium Supplements that could've been a $5 profit. The only product I did find on the shelf today was the Omega Fish Oils, but the tag said 24 dollars or something awful… No sale/RR tags. I figured it wasn't worth fighting over the $2… Plus I don't really need the fish oil pills ;) I wonder if the tags were ever up, or if they just pull them down when they sell out because of couponers?? I haven't done a Sunday morning drugstore run, but after this week I'm hooked.

      • Tiff715

my walgreens had a big shelf near the counter for the sobe, they were all cold too so I think they pulled them out of the cooler. Im glad they did because I didnt think to look in the cold section for the drink

        • Kristen Fisher

I looked up front and in the cold section :( I was thirsty too! It was hot and it was a long day of couponing! lol

      • Heather

I have noticed that with some items, especially the applied nutrition calcium. It doesn't seem right.

        • Kristen Fisher

          I agree.. :(

      • Jasky724

I have two Walgreens near by. One is great about putting the tags up, the other is not. I always take the Item I think should be on sale up to the counter and have the cashier price it for me before I start my transaction. I did this today. The first Walgreens I tried (the good tagers) were out of an item. The second Walgreens (the non tagers) had plenty, but nothing was tagged! The items were on sale though and I got my UPs.

        • Kristen Fisher

I think I visited 3 or 4? They're all within less then a 5 mile radius of my home… So I'm not as crazy as it sounds! lol.. I definitely noticed some were better than others and the poorly tagged had more in stock. It's little things sometimes too like they have the same razors on three shelf pegs, but only tagged one as being on sale. I kind of wish they would have a card too so that you could track promotions and not have to do them all in the same transaction. But I'm glad it all worked out for ya :)

      • Liz

go by the sale ad paper.  a lot of times they miss marking things or don't even put it up.  they have to honor what's in their ad.  most of the time the cash register has it right, and you don't have to worry about it.

    • Rrbarr

    • Fireyredhead

I went to Walgreens today and did the Gillette spend $30 and get $10 RR…well they did not give me the $10 in RR.  When i asked about it, the cashier said he knew nothing of it……@@ . So,  I am returning my items tomorrow. I thought about it when i got home and even though it was still a somewhat good deal, I could do better by going to CVS and letting them match the prices….ya know?  anyone else have this happen?

      • Heathers_147

That just happened to me as well! I didn't even get the 5 rr for my fusion razor! I bought the fish oil as well and guess what… No RR!

        • Judy

Show them the ad! It's in there. They must honor it!

          • Heathers_147

I got it straight. Their machine was messed up so I went to another Walgreens after I got that fixed and they were perfect! So helpful and everything went smoothly.

    • Erkelly

Does anyone know the retail price of the Healthy Woman Soy Supplements? I like to input all my savings on a spreadsheet to see how much I saved, and I bought this today but couldn't find it on the shelf so I never saw the original price tag. Thanks!

    • Heathers_147

Can someone help me with how walmart price matching goes. Do they match the after RR price? Like on the fusion razor would they match the 5.89 after 4.00 manufacturer coupon or the .89 after the RR price?

      • Tiff715

5.89 after the mft q, they wont factor in a RR when price matching

    • Shopalot2save

      Thanks for all you do.

    • Heather

Help please! I am fairly new at this and went on my third real trip today. I tried the gillette deal buying a razor and 6 body wash (out of deo). I used the $4 off razor and 3 of the B1G1 and 3 $2 off. My total was $39.41.  I also used a $10RR from the fish oil vitamins. My total was $5.93 but I only received the $5rr from the razor and not the gillette. the store manager said it had to be the total after coupons but reading these, that is def. not the case. is there anything i can do?

      • Mcleodsc

return everything and purchase the razor seperately. Then add up the rest of the gillette items to make sure you reach 30.

      • Heather

what do i do about the coupons i used if I return everything? do I loose them? i have read all the other blogs and i bought the proglide razor with the battery.

        • Heather

called corporate and they said it had to be $30 after coupons but it doesn't specify that in the coupon policy. very aggravated

      • Ashley

did they total out the order before they started ringing up coupons?

      • Ivbeverly

When I went today I tried the scenario with the razors bodywash and deoderant, it would not work.  The store manager came out to tell me why.  The razor is not included in the 10 RR, only the 5 RR.  So I re-vamped my deal with his help, I added 2 gillette shave gels and another body wash and got the 10 RR and the 5 RR for the razor.

    • Mcleodsc

The picture in the sales paper is of the GILLETTE GIFT SET-it is a travel bag with a razor, shave prep and other items.  It is 14.99. The razor in the ad picture is IN the gift set. Look closely at the picture. I bought the gift set, 2 bw and 2 deo and got the 10 RR.

      • danielle

you should have bought the razor as part of the $30 not the gift pack, you would have gotten  $10 RR and a $5 RR….. look at the back of the ad.

    • Isew4food

I only need the razors.  Can I buy 4 of those and get $30RR?

      • Ashley

It depends on your store, at my store that would work and you would get back $15rr

    • Png1231

Gillette buy $30 get $10 was working with Gillette razor deal.  We got $10 + $5 for razor yesterday, but when we tried it today…only got $5.  So told them to keep it all.

    • Loretta

Gillette scenario was definitely not working for me.  The store is telling me that I have to spend $30 in Gillette products after coupons.  It only printed off the $5 RR for the razor.

      • Ebroyles2001

Mine was the same.  I did not get the $10 RR.  I only got the $5RR.  I did not know if I needed to call the catalina company and try to get the $10.

      • Flabigtim

Did not work for me was told must be 30.00 Purchase after coupons>…

        • Talia

Don't understand that I got the RR on the Suave products and had a free coupon for 3 of them and mine printed out no problems.

    • Melanie

Does anyone know if the monthly deal for suave body wash is still good?

    • AmberJ

      Same for me.

The first store was cleaned out. The guy who usually checks me out (and seems to admire my couponing ability) told me they were cleaned out on Sunday!

Headed to the next store in mid-town as I didn't want to go way out north. (We have 4 walgreens in our town!)

That Walgreens store manager (after it didn't work for the regular cashier) said that you had to make sure your Gillette purchase was $30.00 before the razor. He tried it twice and it wouldn't work. I only had like $28.00 in Gillette (besides the razor) so I had to add on another deodorant. Still 5 deodorants, 1 body wash (wanted more body wash instead of deodorant but they were out) and the Gillette shave gel for $12.17 after coupons and $10RR is not a bad deal!  ($1.74 each!)

Then he rung up the razor in another transaction just to make sure nothing messed up again. (That make my third one in the last few weeks) and got the $5.00 RR. It cost me $1.85 with tax after RR!)

At Kroger I found 3 more of the Gillette shower gels for $3.33 each and used a buy one get one coupon. Then I used a $2.00 on the last one. (5.85 for all with tax!  $1.95 each!)

And before you call me a hoarder note that several of these items will be sent overseas to soldiers. The school I teach in collects every year. I'm even considering doing it as a 4-H service project for our class this year.) The rest will be used for Christmas Gifts for family members.

All in all… not a bad day!

Also picked up the Reach Toothbrushes and a colgate toothbrush and toothpaste and got $6.00 back in register rewards. $1.00 more than expected. I'm not sure how that happened.

    • Freefallin46

I had a manager tear up a RR today!!!  I purchased the proglide fusion, 2 pantene and the bic razor.  The pantene I bought was on clearance for $1.24 and he said you aren't allowed to get RR on clearance items so he tore it up.  I was pissed, I have had problems with that manager before but the cashiers are so nice as long as you don't have to call the manager.  The reason he came over was because the catilina machine ate my $5 fusion RR and I wanted that! So he tore up the pantene but refunded and rerang the fusion to pop out that RR. Should I call corporate?

      • Liz

yes! and contact catalina about your RR (1-888-8COUPON).  he does not need to be a manager.

        • Mcleodsc

Once the catalina prints out it belongs to the customer. Call corporate and catalina.

      • Gofast67

heck yes call them. What a prick.

      • ireneY

Are you kidding? That is just hateful!

    • Donna

I don't know about others, but everytime I go to Walgreens they are always out of everything on sale.  Do they not want our business?

    • angela

does anyone know what will cause the print option to print only the coupon matchups im selecting all and checking what i want but the printer just will not print the deal scenario for nothing.

    • Guest

Just to let everyone know that corporate sent down an email to the managers saying that the proglide razor deal is no longer included in the $30 gillette deal. This was a mistake by the catilina company and they have fixed the problem. The razor in the ad actually goes to the gillette gift set. Just thought i would save you the hassle when you get to the counter to check out and it doesn't work. I work at walgreens and personally got to see this email. Hope this helps.

      • Guest

Why does Walgreens have to be so complicated? If this is the case, then they should post this information for customers to see. I went to Walgreens this morning to try to take advantage of the $30 Gillette deal, but the manager there told me I didn't get the $10 back because I didn't spend $30 AFTER coupons.

        • Liz

it bothers me when they just make up stuff to satisfy the scenario. ugh.

        • Cookking

I did the same thing. After using my time to get everything I just said cancel it and left.

        • Heather

I did the same thing my $5 printed but not the $10 the manger told me that, which i knew was wrong from previous shopping. however when i called corporate they said the same thing.

      • Bkny63

This happened to me yesterday.  I bought everything including the razor and only got the $5RR.  Thanks for posting this.  I was wondering what happened.  I returned everything this morning.

      • Mcleodsc

I figured this out yesterday when I purchased the gillette gift set and it looked just like the one in the sales picture. Why didn't the catalina co or wags corporate figure this out on Sunday when people started complaining? I heard a manager explain to the customer that it did not print because she used coupons on her order. I knew that was baloney! I would rather hear someone say “I do not know why it did not print” than make up a lie on the spot.

    • love2save

new to this, so wanted some clarification…   whenever we buy a product that is B1G1 or we have a B1G1 coupon, are the 'free' items counted into the purchase total before the coupons are discounted?  I have a number of the Gillete coupons and wanted to know how that worked when working toward the $30 purchase deal?  I was also told by our manager that we could NOT get RR back on any item in our cart if we paid for any portion of the tab with RR.  Is that right???

      • Talia

I think that's only true if it's from the same company, and yes i think they are counted in. Ex today i got the suave rr for buying 4 products and i had q's for three of them making them free and still got my rr

    • Janice

What are the restrictions for the number of coupons you can use?  The coupon said “one coupon per offer”…so does that mean i can't use my M coupons on each item when the store is offering promotions such as 2/$5.  Our register wouldn't let me use RR on a $30.80 purchase because I had 7 items with 3 M coupons and 4 RR coupons.  He said the number of RR and other coupons have to match (and can't exceed) the 'offer' total.  Does that mean the number of items in my cart or the number of sales promotion offers (which might be for multiple items at a set price)?  I asked him, but he could not explain.

      • Liz

the store sale doesn't count nor do the coupons IN the wags monthly booklet.  Just make sure your number of manu. coupons and RR match the number of items you have in your cart.  RR are considered manu. coupons. And, you can't go below your tax price.

    • Unretail

Okay, does anybody know of anything in Walgreens less than 25 cents? All these 99 cent and $1.50 RR's are getting ate up with filler junk. I put on 15lbs. from eating filler snickers! UGH!

      • Liz

hahaha this makes me laugh 'cuz it sounds like me!  i just tried the new coconut twix as a filler, and i shouldn't have cuz it was SO GOOD….tastes just like a Girl Scout Samoa cookie!  ugh.  anyways, try seeing if your store lets you print off a single picture from their photo center for 10 cents.  i always just bring my jump drive with me, and it takes 5 mins at the most at the Kodak center.

    • Jennifer cook

I went to wags today to do the Gillette deal and also had problems when I bought the razor with my body washes and only got the $5rr. The cashier gave me the excuse that it had to be $30 beforecoupons which I knew was incorrect. She said I could void the transaction but there was a line behind me and I was in a hurry. Now after reading all the posts on here I am thinking of returning everything and doing a new scenario without the razor but what will they do with all the coupons and rr's I used. Will they be refunded back to me. If not it may not be worth the hassle of taking everything back

      • Queensusan1111

I took all my things, except the razor back. The manager told me I couldn't have my coupons back and I told her that I wanted to be reimbursed the full price of the items then. At first she told me no then when I said “you are goof to get paid back for so
Something and I'm not? I do t think so… I will call corporate right here!” she refunded full price of everything! Goes to show they CAN if they want to! I'm going to stick with CVS… They are much nicer!

    • Queensusan1111

Your gillette matchup did not work for me because they said the total after coupons didn't total $30

      • Tonya

if you look at the prices my Walgreen's had their deodorant much cheaper that what was posted on here.

    • Stacyannw

okay have a question, i tired like most others to do the gillette deal with the razor and was told i couldn't use the razor and i wanted to return my stuff.  The manager took forever and he ended up giving me like $25.00 in cash, i paid with my card and it was 14 something, i didnt get any of my coupons and i just left because i had a headache by then.  So my question is what is suppose to happen when you get a refund and used coupons.  I used b1g1 deo, b1g1 body wash, $2, $4, $1, $1, and $2 in rr.

    • Carolinajudes

Well I normally don't post but after my experience today with Walgreens I had to share. I had an awesome experience! The sales clerk was so helpful and when I had questions he had patience. I pointed out a couple of incorrect amounts that the Swifter refill were ringing up and he got the manager. She came over, corrected the error and stated she would take care of the rest of my transactions. I must say I was nervous. This was my first attempt at making a number of large transactions and after reading the post/comments here I thought the great experience was about to go south fast. Boy was I wrong! She helped me with fillers and was very helpful when I was looking for a coupon I miss placed. Her attitude and personality was priceless. I am SO impressed with the customer service. I know this may be the exception but I had to take a minute to give “props” to the Thomasville, GA  Walgreens.

    • Tonya

okay so I found out about the Gillette problem.  We went to Wags tonight in East Brainerd (Chattanooga, TN) and they are wonderful there.  I will be going there from now on.  Very coupon friendly.  Anyway, the manager said that the Gillette razor was not supposed to be included in the P & G RR even though it is pictured that way in the ad.  She said that it was up to the manager of the store to make the decision on whether to honor the ad or not.  She is also a couponer and said that it was not fair to not honor it.

      • Kristen Fisher

Oh wow. I thought it was weird they included it, but luckily it worked at the store I went to too.

    • Weisscynthia

I tried the gillette deal, let them know up front if it didn't give the RR i was returning items, didn't work, at Batesville, AR.  Manager was very nice and tried ringing deal up different ways, not using RR to pay for but only printed out 5 RR. Cancelled all and gave my Q's back.

    • nikkiabney

My Wags had Rimmel nail polish on sale for $2 (50% off). I used the B1G1 from June All You and got them for $1 each. Pretty good deal I thought!

    • Selenaw50

I had a great experience for once at walgreens, I bought 5 gillette body wash, 3 deo, and one gillette razor. I got $5 and $10 RR and also got lucky and register gave me half off one body wash. I end up paying $.83 for each item. Very happy.

    • Kate

I was super excited about my trip tonight! I went to one store, and was planning on buying the john frieda hair dye, using my 3 dollar coupon, and getting a two dollar RR back (which worked  :]) I was also going to buy the radiant red john frieda shampoo and conditioner use 2- two dollar coupons and my RR with a filler item. I ended up having to run down to the other store (theres two, and I live between them) I got my shampoo and conditioner plus for my filler picked up two boxes of the thin mint cookies which were .19 each for the honey, and only spent around 4 dollars!

    • Jm300turbo

Walgreens in Indian Land is the worst store I have ever shopped in. They make every transaction difficult. When possible go to another store. They are rude and against and means of saving money. I will avoid this store at all costs!

    • Kristen Fisher

Is Walgreens the only store that considers their RRs to be manufacturers coupons? I mean, I guess they are, but I never really thought of them as that way. It seems like at CVS and Rite Aid it doesn't matter how many of your UPs / ECBs you use versus how many items you have… Right?

    • Lisa

Spent too much time planning for this week's Wag trip…the store was out of all the Gillette deod & body wash…and most all Reach products although I found 2 toothbrushes that made the cut :) …so that changed my whole scenario..haha…had to be quick on my feet to rearrange my plan…Ended up spending $11.39 + tax to get $10 RR to use toward the items I did need like T-shirts for VBS (4 for $10 FOL) & a birthday present for daughter's friend

    • Amelia

Can I use my $5 proglide RR to pay for my buy $30 get $10 RR deal?

      • You can but its a PG reward and so the reward for the 10.00 will not print! ;(

    • Rhonda

Can i use All you coupons that say walmart

    • GrnacrZ

I am getting frustrated at spending so much time on getting my coupons ready and then all the deals are gone.  Walgreens this week was especially disappointing.  I am wondering if the store just doesn't stock very many of the items (like the Omega Smart deal,) or if the Extreme Couponers are just cleaning all the shelves everywhere.  At any rate it is discouraging.

    • Jayme

I have a question~ I went to my Walgreens tonight and did the Gillette $10 RR when you spend $30 deal. I used several coupons and was set to do great! When I finished they only gave me the $5 for the razor~ they said I had to spend $30 after coupons. Is anyone else finding this to be true at their store?

      • Jasandamber

I had the same thing happen to me about an hour ago, the manager told me that it would only give me 1 of the deals, that is why I only got the $5 not both together. Why is it working for some people and not us?

    • This scenario didn't work so to speak because we used coupons for all the Gillette products and the total of course after coupons was less than 30, so the RR didn't print but the manager who is really nice just gave us the reward. I had no idea that it was an after coupon the total should be $30…haha imagine that. I hate wallgreens every week its a problem with them never having the items on Sunday, the fact that spending RR are a pain.

      • Rhonda

mine did not work either. they did not give me my 10 RR

    • BigBlueSky

there are lots of great B1G1 items this week!  question:  can I use a coupon on the “free” item?  e.g. i have 2 manufacturer coupons for the nature made vitamins…am I allowed to use both, or only 1 since I am only paying for one bottle?  Thanks so much!
