Here are all the deals that start Sunday 1/16 at Walgreens. It’s a pretty good weekly ad for Walgreens compared to past weeks, with a few free items and then lots of things that might not be free but are a great price.

I made a scenario this week to show you that while you might not need heatwraps and other items they can help you save on what you do need by grabbing them. In the end donate the things you won’t use and enjoy the savings!

I think originally it was posted that there would be no inserts on 12/26. I was sick that week & didn't bother getting papers. Later on I remember there being a P & G insert on 12/26.

      • Rachel

no matter what there is always a pg every month there is a small one coming out tomorrow.

    • savin4morefamily

I can't get any of the John Frieda coupons – they all come up with the page requested isn't there.

    • kc

Does anyone see the $2 off coupon for listerine zero, I only see it as $1

      • Nikkibishopmy31

It was available only about a week or so ago…I printed them off..but used them at Publix…UGHHHH!

      • Mirandalovespurses

They did have the coupon on the Publix coupon link a week or so ago. Don't know if they still do though.

    • GL

Where do you get the “P&G Have you tried this yet”?

      • Rachel

        pg website.

        • Sarah

I signed to be a P&G Everyday Solutions member on their site. Will they send them based on that enrollment?

    • jen

I'm a little new to this, but if, in the same transaction, I buy 2 of the same item that offers a RR, will 2 RRs print, or only 1?

      • Bamasaver

        Only one

        • jen

          Thank you!

      • Ranger

you can buy two items of same thing at one time and get two seperate RRs

    • Guest

What's the regular price range on the vitamins?

      • Rachel

with the 5 off and the 3 off jan coupon wags u should get them free or overage depending on which ones u get. I messed up and printed mine wrong. So I only have one 5 off .

    • kastp

i couldnt find the kraft coupon for the mac and cheese is there another link

    • KelliSC

My favorite filler item at Walgreens are the small bags of chips that are $0.35 each or 3 for $1.00. Kids love them for school lunches and I don't have to spend time searching for clearance fillers! :-)

      • PamperedKate

I'm new to RR and Walgreens so this may sound ignorant, but why would you need to buy filler items? Do you only get the RR if you buy filler items? I don't get it! :)

        • Diane

The best thing for you to do is to read to guide to getting started at wags above. Jenny explains everything there.

        • jen

You can't have more coupons than you do items and the RR ring up as coupons. So sometimes you need filler items to make the number of items and the number of coupons come out even.

        • KelliSC

Yes, read the getting started guide. It is confusing, but well worth your time and effort to learn the system. Count the items you are purchasing in your transaction, then count your manufacturer coupons (INCLUDING register rewards you are using to pay!!) then choose some additional (inexpensive!) items to make the items equal to or greater than the number of coupons. If not, you will get the dreaded BEEP at Walgreens and the cashier will look at you and say, sorry, this will not work, and you will be frustrated until you realize OH!! I have to buy one more item for that coupon to work!

So, you would still receive a RR for the transaction, but you might not get to use a specific coupon or a RR to pay for the tranasaction.

          Clear as mud?

      • Rachel

good idea to keep in the car for my 3 year old. Lately I have been buying the clearance christmas candy about 12 cents.

    • Mandy

Is the mens dove deodorant included in the in ad coupon deal? If so it will be 1.99 get a 2 RR! The dove is a monthly RR deal right?

    • Dlb44431

There's also a $3 Neutrogena coupon in the February All You.

      • Rachel

is it for any nuetrogena or a cosmeticb. My husband swears by the bodyclear bodywash and I can never find a q.

    • sls

I am new to this, could someone explain RR to me. How does it work.

      • happymom

It's similar to CVS Extra Bucks- you buy the specified product and your RR print at the bottom of your receipt. You can use them towards your next purchase, BUT they can't be used towards an item from the same brand/company (see Jenny's comment in the scenarios about the pampers). They have an expiration date and you're out of luck if you lose them. What I try to do at Wags, CVS, and RiteAid is to only buy items that give you RRs, ECBs, or UPs and pay for them using those rewards. It's a lot of fun! HTH!

        • picghaw

hey happymom, new coupon-er here and still learning the ropes. Can you expand on the whole “What I try to do at Wags, CVS, and RiteAid is to only buy items that give you RRs, ECBs, or UPs and pay for them using those rewards” thing. I was the impression that you can only use the rewards at a future transaction.

      • wendyc33

It is like cash back. read the tutorial above for walgreens shopping it will explain the rules. Thats the best way to tell you.

      • Couponj

Check out Jenny's getting started with Walgreens link… Wags is very different than CVS… they have a lot more rules about their RRs and item counts vs. coupon counts…etc. I think CVS is a lot easier to catch on to than Wags since they have less restrictions.

    • Lucentk

Does walgreens give you a card like CVS? I asked a cashier about this and she looked at me like I was crazy.

      • Mjclark1977

Walgreens does not do a card like CVS and Rite Aid.

    • Rsbesaw

If I buy three razors and use three $4 off coupons in one transaction will i get $15 in register rewards or do I need to do three Different transactions to get $5 RR each?

      • Scrooge

You have to do 3 trans because it only prints 1RR deal per trans on the same item!

        • Ladybugpam

Also, very importantly, you cannot pay for your second razor with the RR from your first razor or the RR will not print. You can't buy an item with a RR from the same item bought previously, you have to alternate your different RR to get multiples of a RR item. One of the major annoyances at Wags!!! You can drive yourself nuts figuring out how to get more than one of a RR item>:(

          • Kimberly Broughton

keeps your brain functioning!!! Ha! I've nearly gone crazy sitting in the car outside the store trying to figure out how to best work out my scenarios!!! My grandfather always used to say doing puzzles and stuff like that keeps your mind young…I don't think I've used my brain this much since college! Ohhh Walgreens!

    • KRistan

Does anybody know how to get the BIGI Kraft mac coupon? I never found it.

      • Gabrielle

I couldn't find it either, it was probably used up this week because of the Rite Aid deal on mac and cheese. But in the 1/16 SS there should be a coupon for $1/1 homestyle mac and cheese, so stack 2 of those with 1 $1/2 wags coupon and get 2 boxes for .34 cents!

    • Christy

Does anyone know if there is a limit on the Tom's of Maine products that you receive RR for? I'm wondering how many times you can repeat that transaction. Thanks!

      • Rachel

as many as u want. U just can't roll the same rr. Try to find something to go back and forth with. Example last week I bought the go kids vitamins for 5=5 and the pillglide 5=5 so I got 6 vitamins and 5 pillglides was 11 transactions.

        • Amy

Do you do this all at once or go through the store a few times?

          • Kimberly Broughton

If you get a nice clerk in cosmetics they usually don't care…it helps their customer counts for you to check out in cosmetics, and regardless of whether you pay them the $$ or they have to wait to be reimbursed for the coupons, they will get paid for the item….helps their sales. Just be nice and take the last 24…LOL, leave them 2 so it doesn't pop up as something they are out of on their report.

            • wagemp

Yes please do check out in Cosmetics! Its not all about customer counts but also about total sales for each department. Basically if a department isn’t making the dollar signs then there will be no need for that department anymore. Which will hurt the customer even more. Whether cosmetics doesn’t care or not I don’t think you will be able to purchase all but 2. Either way no matter where or what department that employee works in, there is a manager on that floor walking around and they know what is on RR and they know what is in your cart when you come up to the register and that phone next to that register will ring letting that cashier know whether or not that transaction can be made. Or that manager may have already walked around to each cashier or called each cashier before you got there and let them know what they need to know about your limit. But that aside PLEASE do check out in cosmetics!

            • workatwags

Also, if you want to do several transactions, checking out in cosmetics is the best place to go. There is usually not anyone behind you in line, Doing several transactions up front can cause the line to backup. I just want everyone to know, that within the past two months we have all been informed to check coupons to be sure they match the items being bought. Although it may be annoying to most, if you know you are using the correct coupon, this should not be an issue. Walgreen’s is a friendly place to shop if you use the correct coupons.

        • wagemp

Again it is not as many as you want, that is just ridiculous to think. There is a limit. If it does not state a limit next to the item in their sale ad then the manager will set a limit themselves in order to keep stock on the shelf throughout the week. My local store has a limit of 4 if it is not stated in the ad or on the sale tag. If the store is over run with that produce and you need 10 then no they don’t say anything and the do let you purchase them but come on to go as far as to say there is no limit is just in sane!

    • Sarah

Does anyone know where I can get the P&G Have You Tried This? or the P&G $110 booklets? I'm new to couponing and trying to locate all of my tools. Thanks!

      • Syrivera9

The P&G $100 booklet came from a P&G offer that has expired which was if you spent $50 on P&G items mail them your reciept they would send you the booklet.

I think the Have you tried this yet booklet was an insert in our newspaper. I think it was from October. I don't have it so I am not sure.

    • Rachel

Want to give a shout out to Jenny. She gets the ads up early so u have lenty of time to plan. I think it is a very comprehensive list and easy to use. I frequent other blogs but always use this to start my shopping list. I love how she is truthful about what she thinks of the ad and best of all gives u scenarios to start with! I am planning on buying 20 yes 20 of the nyquil sinex and getting a win-win. I love the sinex and am running low. Plus I plan on getting coke, chips, gum, pantiliners, tp and cascade for free. I will post my scenarios as a comment to this one to help anyone else out. Thanks Jenny U ROCK!

      • Farcoup

Can't wait to see your scenario!!!! I'd love to get all of that! Don't really want 20 Sinex though. I wouldn't know what to do with it.

    • FreedomSpradley1

Can Walgreen's adjust RR down if you are under by a couple cents or do they make you get something else? Also, do you pay tax on pre-coupon totals?

      • Syrivera9

It has been my experience that they wont adjust the RR so I usually have to find a filler item to cover the the RR. I do believe you pay taxes on pre coupon items.

        • Mandy

I agree. The system will beep, and it's up to the cashier to adjust the item down. In my experience, the cashiers get confused and normally just refuse the coupon. If you are purchasing several items, it will not matter, as the overage is applied to the rest of the total. Yes, I also find that you pay tax on pre-coupon totals.

          • wagemp

I don’t think it’s a matter of confusion with the cashiers, they aren’t idiots waiting to be tricked with a coupon. However RR (catalina coupons) are not walgreens and have nothing to do with the company other than a company like Proctor & Gamble decided if you purchase “xxxx” item we will give you “xxxx” dollars as a reward. They can’t adjust any RR or force it to print if it doesn’t. They can and will however adjust a manuf coupon if say the product is on sale for 99 cents and your coupon is for $1. The RR is not for one particular item that you purchase like say a manuf coupon is $1 of Crest Toothpaste. The RR is applied to your total. And yes you can keep running through them with overages if you like but do that too much in one transaction and the overage will catch up and cause one of your other coupons not to go through. Just play it safe for yourself and the cashier and do what is right, if it’s expired don’t use it, if you have a $1 RR you need to use then buy a $1 item, how hard can it really be, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to shop at Walgreens just a trustworthy person.

            • workatwags

Thank you wagemp. Too many people see coupons listed on different sites that aren’t for the right size and get upset when the cashier won’t accept them. A majority of them know this when they walk into the store hoping the cashier won’t check the coupon. When they are shown that it is for the wrong size, they say they didn’t notice it! Yet they have a printout from a blog, and not necessarily Jenny’s, with several other coupons.

    • Ladybugpam

Hi, all. I am trying to put together my coupons for my Wags trip and I have run into a few glitches! Can anyone provide me with:
-a zip for the neosporin lip health
-a zip for the quilted northern
-help figuring out how to find the kraft mac and cheese coupons

      thank you!!!

      • Found the neo lip under 34221, can't find the quilted, and mac and chz had to go under FB “homestyle” tab.

        • Ladybugpam

          thank you, Ashley!

      • Megansmom636

I don't understand the kraft mac n cheese printable either. I go to the link but can't find any coupons anywhere?

        • Megansmom636

ok. i got the coupon. was still hard to find. had to go on fb page for mac n cheese then found where I could print it.

      • Ranger

the kraft mac and cheese is in this weeks sunday paper not sure if it is SS or P&G 1-16-11

    • I have two coupons for $3 off thermacare, but its a 2-count size or larger. Is the thermacare sale on 2ct sizes? And if so Can I use the $3.00 coupon on the $2.50 purchase?

      • Mandy

Angela, I also have a coupon. I googled it, and it looks like the trial sizes only include one in the package, so we can't use coupon :(

    • Katiekittie18

In transaction 2 with the panteene and joint juice…why do you need a filler item? (I'm new to Walgreens)

      • Mandy

Unlike CVS, you cannot have more coupons than items. She has 4 coupons listed that cover 5 items (the Rewards are considered coupons in Walgreens' system), but she is only purchasing 3 things. Make sense? The system will not allow more coupons than items. The fillers add the extra 2 items towards the purchase. The fillers can be anything, but we try to keep it on the cheap side.

        • Katiekittie18

          I see, thanks!

    • Steph

Where can I get the Pampers home mailer if it's still available?

    • Howarddiamondrph

Why not go back and forth all day on the Joint Juice and the diet spray. It will cost you nine dollars with the Joint Juice Coupon, and you will get back 10 dollars. Use the reward for the Diet Spray and the go back and forth. You will end up with 10 dollars in RR at the end. Lose weight and have healthy joints my friends.

    • Does Walgreen have a limit like CVS

      • Rudydoescakes

No but you have to do it in separate transactions. And you cannot roll the RR's on the same product.

      • wagemp

YES they do have limits, it is clearly printed on each item in their sale paper. If there is not a limit showing in the paper then the manager of your local store can put whatever limit they feel necessary to keep the product in stock for the entire sale. At my local walgreens if the limit is not listed in the paper then its an automatic limit of 4. No matter if you purchase all 4 in the same transaction or if you do 4 separate transactions.

    • Latisa

Anyone else's wags refuse IP q's with no watermark? The Thermacare printable q doesn't print a watermark. I've been through this with the cashiers twice now on the same issue (different q's, but with no watermark). irks me….there's nothing I can do about the format that the manuf. issued the q in….:(

      • Kimberly Broughton

Its the store's discretion, really. If its for a Free item, they probably won't be willing to take it unless it has that watermark. The stores in my area got burned with a lot of fake coupons this summer, that kind of thing makes them worried about taking the printed ones, you never know if the manufacturer is going to pay them back.

    • Jeannagripper

With the Listerine deal, the ad says “250 ml” and all the coupons I've seen are for 500+ ml- does anyone know if Walgreens will accept this anyway?

      • Ranger

no they wont take coupon unless the product and coupon have matching ml. or oz.

    • Mykingarooroo

To print more than 2 coupons per item, do you need 2 computers or 2 different printers?

      • Nita Royal

What you really need is 2 IP addresses. If you are on wireless, multiple computers in the same house won't help. Try using the computer of a friend or family member at another location, or at a library.

        • Amy

That's not true. I use both computers in my own house.

          • Ksmith

It goes by cookies on your computer. You can use two computers in your home.

        • Jenjen42

I have 6 computers in my house and can print 2 from each as well as 2 from each iPod touch.

          • Lynette

How do you use an ipod touch to print computers?! Does it have to have 3G capabilities? Our son's uses wifi.

            • Jeannagripper

download the coupons.com app- you can print from that app if you have a wireless printer. it’s awesome!

            • crissyk

My itouch says browser not supported when I try and download coupons.com

          • Raynesmw

OMG! You can print from an iPod touch. Do give details, I'm intrigued!

        • Reymannkids

I have four wireless computers all on one modem and I can print 2 coupons from each computer. They all have different IP addresses.

        • Smilesforlisa

My librarys computers will not let you print most coupons since most of them require you to have downloaded some type of program at the very beginning.

        • Mykingarooroo

I have wireless: 2 computers and 2 printers. I tried connecting my laptop to one of the printers and it tell me that my print limit has been reached. So I'm thinking that somehow it has to do with my printers. ???

          • Daymonandlaura

We have a wireless printer and two laptops we use. Both laptops go to the same printer. I can have them sitting right next to me and print out two Q's from one computer and then two from the other right after. Both going to the same printer. No problems. Somehow you need to look at how things are set up, might be a slight problem. Good thing my I.T. dept (my wife) knows what she's doing. We are about to set up one of the laptops our kids use so we can have three computers to print from. And, if I fix the screen from another computer (slight malfunction from a kids buttocks) then we potentially can have four to chose from….if the Q is that desireable. So, look into how you have things set up. You should have no problem using two computers printing to one printer. HTH!

      • christa

        2 computers

    • elisa1224

Hi, I have a question with the RR- if I buy 5 Listerine @ 2.99 and get 1.00 RR will that be 5-1.00 RR that I can use on something else?

      • Danielle

Yes, if you do 5 separate transactions and don't use the $1 RR from the Listerine on any of the transactions or it won't print out you next RR. Hope that helps!

        • elisa1224

Thank you Danielle! Kind of a pain to go through it 5 times, but the deal makes it SO worth it :)

    • Jen5 Owens

I had $8 in RR that expired yesterday. Called my Walgreen's to see if they would extend the date due to us being snowed in. She said no. I didn't talk to a manager though. I wonder if I email the corporate office if I would have any better luck. Comments?

      • michele

I had a $1 expired RR and gave it to the cashier. It went through the register without any problems. The cashier never saw the expiration date. We had several snow days ;ast week and it was impossible to get out. Otherwise, I would have used the RR on time. I didn't feel bad because the RR expired the previous (snow) day. Try going to another WAGS. Maybe you'll have more luck.

        • workatwags

That is just wrong. You went in knowing that it was expired. If you have wags coupon policy, it clearly states they do not accept expired coupons. That is why it is so hard for everyone to save. You see a coupon on here that is not for the right product amount. ex 10 ox gain coupon clearly states 20 oz and yes u r right, get the cashiers that don't notice. But you have committed fraud knowing that you just redeemed an expired coupon. All stores are open 365 days a week. If you can not make it to the store, it's should not be their loss. Thank you sheltonboxers.

          • BoxerMom

Exactly. Working there myself, I've heard cashiers getting pulled into the office for taking expired coupons. It's just as much the shopper's responsibility to check coupon dates as it is ours as the cashiers

        • WagEmp

Cashiers get written up for taking expired coupons and some are even fired. And its true they should be paying attention and look at the exp date but if you are a customer that comes in often and they know you then they trust you to do the right thing. But when the products you love so much go up $1 in price think back on the day you tricked them and wonder if you along with others that try that are the reason for it. They will always “go through the register” as you call it because the coupons recognize product information not dates so if you got the right product then yeah the coupon will go through but that makes you a thief not a genius.

      • Sheltonboxers

if the coupon is expired they won't take it………….and unless there was no walgreens open,, due to the snow,, it would be a hard argument to argue. They don't expire for at least a week….. so you had all that time to use them as well.
One thing about walgreens,, they are open,,, even if the power is out… christmas… snow… always open. 7 days a week.

      • Kimberly Broughton

The store won't get paid back for the coupon if its expired, snow or not…and them not getting paid back for the coupon values is going to cause the stores to eventually stop accepting and printing so many coupons….if they get burned on the coupons, it makes them less likely to be understanding about “Coupon Ladies” like us. When they aren't happy with us,they don't accept coupons….and that is DEFINITELY not what we want! :)

        • Daymon

          ….and dads! :)

      • workatwags

You have two weeks to use them. Which I think you should know if you visit Jenny's site. Why should your store lose that money? They were open, you just chose to use them when they were getting ready to expire. Weather would not be a factor. I personally don't think you will get have any luck with corporate. The stores were open, and employees weathered the storm to get there.

      • Herene

Call & ask to speak to a mgr. I work at Walgreens & they tell us we can go 1 day past the expiration date but that's it.

    • Edaniels

If I have 12.50 in RR and I want to only buy something that costs 3.00 will i get the remaining 8.50 back in RR or do I have to use it all in one transaction?

      • Sheltonboxers

you have to buy at least 12.50 in merchandise before tax… and you have to have 1 item for each RR you use. Therefore no change, no RR's to replace the balance.

    • jen r

Has anyone tried the Biore deal yet? I think it is a monthly deal? Just wondering what products are actually included or just the 5oz scrub…just wondering if anyone has tried..thanks :)
I'm going Sunday so will try then and let you know what works!

      • Jnn_horan

It works. It's a monthly deal….the steam activated cleansers were on clearance for 4.19…buy 2 = 8.38, use 2 (2.00/1) – 4.00, pay 4.38, get back 5RR = free and .62 profit. There a good chance that they might be all gone by now .. I got the last two on the shelf at my Wags.

        • jen r

          thank you :)

    • mp

Can someone please give me the zip code for Quilted Northern?

    • Kerrynnbirchfield

I wanted to use my 7 RR and use a $3 off coupon for diapers and they said that you couldn't use two coupons together, but RR shouldn't be considered a coupon!

      • sheltonboxers

if you had 8 items it should have worked. If you use 7 RR's and 1 manufacture coupon, you have to have 8 items total to buy, for the computer to take off all 8 coupons.. that's where you would use a filler item to make it be cheapest.

        • What? thats only if she has 7 individual RRs right? cuz if 1 receipt has 7RRs then isn't that considered 1 , or is each $RR considered 1 coupon

          • Kimberly Broughton

I think they meant a $7 RR, but if there are 7- $1 RR's you would need 7 items for that….RR's are Manufacturers coupons, so in the case above, if you bought diapers and used a diaper coupon (pampers huggies whatever) you have to get a filler to be able to use the $7 RR.

      • Bamafan

I think you have to have at least the same number of items as coupons (RR count as manufactures coupons) – so if you add a small filler item, then you should be able to use both (two items, two coupons — not counting any Wags coupons….as they do not count in the total)

      • Michelle

Jus one of the reasons I rarely do Walgreens! Read the getting started guide because there's other funky rules that keep me at bay with Wags. Like not being able to purchase a product that falls into the same “family” of products with RR. For instance, in her scenario above she says not to use the 2 RR from Pantene on the Pampers transaction because they are both Proctor & Gamble products and the RR won't print for the Pampers.

      • Jnn_horan

RR's are considered coupons… which means that you would have to have 2 items in order to use them together… in which case, filler items come in to play… e.g. an .08 candy cane on clearance which would give you the balance of the rr to put towards your diapers so you out of pocket would be less.

      • Tara

RR are considered manufacturer coupons, because they are. The manufacturer is the one who decided, if you buy this.. we will give you this!

    • Csiegel370

Does anyone have the code for Quilted Northern?

    • dedicated

The q for the Listerine states it is for 500ml+ bottles. Will they work for the Listerine deal since only the 250ml bottles are listed?

      • Ranger

you have to use exact ml. or oz on coupons to match sale product. they are very firm on this at walgreens. CC

    • thebanksfamily

Can someone help me here – I just printed a bunch of coupons from Walgreens site – the say “Manufacturer coupon good only at Walgreens”. Does this make it a Manufacturers coupon or a store coupon? Could I use it at Publix as a competitors coupon?

      • firstbrownie

Honestly, from what I've heard, each store is different with those. The store I use here in IL, says they are store coupons (the barcode starts with a 0). I was talking to the manager one day (we've become good friends!) and he said that the register “knows” what to do, so when in doubt, just try it and if it works, it works…if not, then no luck! :) As for the Publix questions, I don't know since we don't have them up here! HTH!

    • Do the walgreens RRs really only last a week?

      • Jnn_horan

        two weeks.

    • Myracash66

I can only find a q for $1 off Listerine? Any help?

      • Foolzcoupons

looks to me the $2 off coupon is no longer available. I ran into the same thing.

    • thebanksfamily

FYI – you can print the ThermaCare coupon several times once it is open – just dont close the window!

      • Paulakay72

I found the same thing. But, I'm always so confused on Walgreens policy. Help! Will I have to do multiple transactions and a filler item for each time I try to use it? Example…I printed 4 coupons. Is it possible to use all 4 at once and get the RR's 4 times or do I need 4 transactions? Do I need a filler to get the RR because my coupon is more than the final price will be? I have stood in Walgreens and fought back tears because I get so confused!!! Thanks for your help!

        • Dedicated

You need to do 4 separate transactions to receive (4) RR's.You can't use the RR you received for the ThermaCare to buy more ThermaCare.

      • Lucy

Each ThermaCare coupon has a unique code (lower left corner) so please don't print multiples of each coupon. You can use another e-mail address to print another coupon with a different unique code if you are wanting an additional coupon.

    • mariek

Walgreens boxed diapers are $14.99 this week and there were sticker coupons on them for $2 off one box. Could use your RR and get a box of these too. I've used them before and like them for daily use. Not that great for night time. They also run a little small so if your child is almost out of a size 3 you would probably need a size 4 in these. Mine fits 3 in pampers but not in Walgreens brand.

    • guest

The 2.00 Listerine mouthwash coupon is for 500 ml and the sale in the ad is for 250 ml so the coupon won't work.

    • mom26boys

Hi! I'm new to this and so confused! I read the getting started guide as well as the posts here, but I'm still a bit confused about the amount of coupons and rr we can use per transaction. Is is 1 rr and 1 coupon per transaction? What about stacking mfr. coupons along with store coupons. Can that be done? I noticed that people use filler items. Can the filler items be things that wgs has a store coupon for and i so, will that mess up the transaction because it adds another coupon. Please help! :)

      • Kathy

Walgreens only allows 1 coupon per item, and they consider a RR a coupon. That is why you hear about filler items. If you have 5 items and 5 coupons, that is OK, even if 2 of those coupons are for the same item.

        • mom26boys

Thank you Kthy! That makes more sense to me now :)

          • mom26boys

            Oops! Kathy :)

    • Lucy

$5 RR WYB $15 or $10 WYB $20 of Vicks NyQuil or DayQuil 20 ct. or 10 oz. or Formula 44 6 oz., $5

The 20ct boxes of Sinex are included in the sale and they're priced at $5 each. Buy 4 and use four of the $4 off coupons from the 12/26 PG insert. You'll pay $4 oop and receive a $10 RR.

    • Clumsythestral

Have any of you tried the Vicks Sinex with the Vicks offer ($5RR for $15 purchase and $10RR for $20 purchase)? The picture in the ad is only Dayquil and Nyquil and I really want to use my $4/1 Sinex coupons on that offer. Does anyone know if Vicks Sinex will work?

      • Lucy

Look at the post directly below yours for the answer. ;)

    • Heather

Just made my Walgreens trip with my dad, He started with $7 RR, used towards the Joint Juice with $1 coupon also the Therma Patch with $1 coupon, received the $10 and $2.50 RR, I then used the $10 to get the Diet Spray and rec'd 10 RR back, then he ran back in and grabbed another Joint Juice with my $10 RR and rec'd the new $10 RR to give back to me :)
Joint Juice alone at my store is $22.99 normally

    • Revelationsacademy

Bought the two Lysol disinfecting sprays and didn't receive the RR. Does anyone know if they will print them out if you go back and complain? I never have had a RR not print before.

      • MomOf1

No, the RR are from outside companies and Walgreen's can not force a RR to print even if it should have printed. They have a RR form you can fill out and mail in along with your receipt and you will then get your coupon.

      • Jmk4hrm

This happened to me on the same product. I returned the next day- the manager forced the $2 RR by ringing up the product again on the register.

    • Meldez

I just got my paper. I have Kraft Homestyle Mac and Cheese coupons in smart source. It is for $1 off one and with them on sale at Walgreens. Buy 2 use 2 one dollar coupons and the Walgreens 1/2 store coupon and it makes two of them .34 cents. (keep in mind you have three coupons and two products so you will have to have another purchase to even it out!

      • cj

Also, at my Wag, I bought 3 of the Kraft Homestyle, because they are 3/$5. When I used the $1/2 Wag q, it took off $1.50 instead of $1.00! Did it twice, and it worked both times.

    • Bamasaver

My store (Anniston, AL) has “bonus” packs of Noxzema razors–4-ct pack w/ another 4-ct bonus pack attached–for $4.99. While not a RR deal this week, if anyone has any $1 MQs from previous packages, makes it a decent deal (two 4-ct packs of decent razors for $3.99).

    • alfreda

Where do I get the P&G Have you tried this yet booklet and the Proctor and Gamble $110 booklet?

      • Couponsrock

I'm not sure about the “have you tried this yet,” but for the P&G $110 coupon booklet to be mailed to you, you had to submit P&G receipts by January 14, 2010 to receive it in the mail. Unfortunately, if you haven't already done it, you'll have to wait for next year's book.

    • Awesomebc

Walgreens has great clearance. Went in to use a $2 RR before it expired and came out with $50 worth of stuff for $25. I was happy. Only downside was that I left my 2 $1 off Starbucks coffee coupons in the car and they had bags of Starbucks marked down to $4.74 on the clearance isle. Guess I could have asked the cashier to let me run to the car but I didn't. That is the down side to having the coupons in a binder. Oh well, I am still happy saving 50%.

    • A Anglin

How do you get the Walgreens Registar Rewards??

      • cj

When you buy the item that has a RR, it will print out from a little machine by the cash register after your purchase has been completed. You can then use it on another transaction, but NOT on a second purchase of the same item.

        • A Anglin

          Thanks :)

    • Amber

I went to Walgreens tonight to do my weekly deals. It was the first time I've ever gone on the first day. :) I wanted to do the Fusion Proglide deal. When I was walking toward the register, I saw a pack that had a razor plus trial versions of the thermal face scrub, intense cooling lotion, and body wash inside. I took it to the register and price checked it. It rang up the $9.99 and printed the RR!!!!! Very exciting b/c these will make nice gifts.

    • DonnaChas

I have two questions about the P & G $110 booklet of coupons that I hope someone can answer for me.

When does the P & G $110 booklet coupons expire? I'm still waiting to get mine, because I didn't meet the requirement until mid-December. I'm hoping they don't expire before I get mine.

Also does anyone know if they'll run another promotion similar to this last one? I guess I'm asking if P & G tends to run them on a schedule? I've only been couponing “Jenny's method” that she teaches for about six months.

Thanks in advance for your help.

      • Mine is divided into 3 sections with expiration dates of 2/28, 4/30, and 6/30. They did it in 2009 & 2010, so chances are they'll do it this year also.

      • K8

You can check your status of your rebate on their web site, there is a blue button you can use…

I did my rebate in mid Dec as well and just received it last week and it is divided into expiration dates, you will find it very useful!

    • Bnshores

If you use a RR on a transaction that qualifies for another one, it won't print. I work there and deal with some angry people sometimes.

      • Cynthia

It has always worked for me if it wasn't for the same product/ manufacturer.

      • tygirl13

I think this is only the case at a few stores. Of the four stores in my area, one of them is like that…so I don't go there anymore. The others work as long as you don't try to roll the same deal.

      • Mary B

It has always worked for me. As long as I do not use the same amount of a RR to get the same RR Amt, think I read that on Wild for Wags…Also, not do use a RR from one compnay to do another RR from the same company. Basically stagger the companies…5 RR P & G on a 6 RR Kimberly Clark etc

      • I used to work at Wags. The RR won't print if you use a RR from the same company. You can't use the Thermacare RR on a thermacare product and expect to get another thermacare RR.

    • Mountaineers2

I'm used to the ecb's at CVS (and still learning that too)– I've several of the printable coupons for the Thermacare wraps I'd like to use–I will need to make it one transaction to get a rr? It won't give me more than one if I buy more than one at a time, correct?

      • Nita Royal

Yes = You should do each of the Thermacares in separate transactions, if you want to get the RR's on each one. If you buy more than one together, you'll only get 1 RR.

    • I was SO psyched to see this week's deals at Walgreens because Glucosamine and diet aids are BOTH on my need-to-stock-up-on list! And then the sweet little Sinex moneymaker made it even better. I ended up spending $5.04 out of pocket for over $300 worth of stuff, saving a whopping 99%. I even managed to score some cheap Raisin Bran for my husband, something he's been begging me for weeks now. It rocked! I started with a $5 RR from last week and now I have $17.50 in RRs to use next week. Woo hoo! (click on my name for detailed transaction info.)

      • Nita Royal

Well, you sure racked up! But 12 transactions seems like a lot, so I hope there's still some on the shelves for the folks who come in after you ;-)

      • Bethany

Just curious if you've used the Full Fast Spray before and if it worked well for you?

      • pat

I find it rather odd that you brag so much about your out of pocket on $300.00 only being $5 . What about tax? 6% on $300.00 would be $18.00. Another thing, most Walgreens don't allow that many trans at one time! If you are going to be greedy then please don't brag!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • Mcleodsc

Just back from WAGS. Got the joint juice and 2 packs EXTRA gum. Used $1 off joint juice, and $10RR. I only owed sales tax. That is a real bargain on the EXTRA gum at 2/$1 as it is usually 1.29 or 1.49 per pack.

    • Laura Jean85

I visited walgreens today to get the gillette razor deal. The catalina was broken so the manager gave me a number to call so that I could get the $5 register rewards, however they need the register number that was used and the transaction number off the receipt. I am not sure which numbers these are. Can someone let me know where on the receipt both of these numbers are located?

      • tygirl13

I think the “transaction” number is the RFN# at the top. Not sure about the register number. I have had to contact Catalina twice to get RR mailed to me. I did it once by talking to a real person and once via email. Each time I provided the RFN#, store location, date, time & my mailing address. I received the RR within a 7 – 10 days. HTH.

        • Laura Jean85

That helps out a lot! Thanks so much!

    • Rachel

curious anyone tried using the 1 off charmin from have u tried this yet it is for charmin sensitive

      • Mary B

I have been wondering the same thing..cant find anywhere (drugstores) that sells it, mine expires on the 31st!

    • KellyL

The skintimate shave creme is a great deal this week. Use the in paper Wags coupon for $1.99 (limit 3) and use the manf. $1 coupon. makes it just $0.99 each. Also, the Kraft homestyle Mac-n-Cheese is 3/$5.00. U se the $1.50 off in the Wags book & 3 $1.00 manf. coupon. Total price $0.50 for all 3 bags. Great deal.

      • Bethany

Thanks for the heads up. Where did you get the Q's for the Skintimate & the Mac & Cheese? I haven't seen them in my area.

        • They were in my smartsource this weekend, im in southern ohio

    • Jinny

Does anyone have a zipcode for the Arm and Hammer detergent coupons. Im in need of some and there is apparently no coupon in my area?????

    • Mamaberry

sorry if I'm missing it (it's late)… but where is the B1G1 Kraft q on the site? I go there and can only find product information. Can anyone help me? :)

    • Bethany

The coupons that you find on the Walgreens website seem to be the same ones that you find in their monthly coupon booklet in the store. Is this correct?

    • Vgump

my dove coupon didnt print…anyone else have this problem?

    • Bamasaver

I had the same problem….I registered & it said my coupon had printed but that wasn't the case. I went back to the initial coupon link & when I hit print again from there it printed (was able to hit the back/refresh & print a second one, too).

    • Jnn_horan

Hold onto those 5.00 maalox and 4.00 gas-x coupons…mm at wags next week..if you have 6 coupons for the maalox you're looking at all free and about 8.56 in profit. The gas-x would be all free but less profit……don't have all…. then use a combination of the two coupons.

      • Stacielovescoupons

How do you already know what will be on sale next week? Do they post the ad this early??? Thanks!

        • Jnn_horan

iheartswags and iheartscvs post two to three weeks in advance.

    • Stacielovescoupons

Does anyone know if I get a rain check at Wags when I go to use it will they give me my RRs? I know CVS does this, but I'm not sure about Walgreens.

      • Bethany

I don't believe it will but someone else may know differently. I've asked before and from what they have said, the RR will not print in another week.

        • Stacielovescoupons

Okay, I didn't think so. Thank you!!!

      • andie98

they should write it on your raincheck on how much RR you should get. Then (my Walgreens) will put a credit on a Walgreens card instead of a RR. I personally like that better, since you don't have to worry about what brand you want to buy with that RR.

        • Bethany

Unfortunately, not all Walgreens have a card. I certainly wish ours would but as of yet they haven't offered this. )o:

      • Melissa

My Walgreens writes the raincheck for the price as iff the RRs were taken off of that item. Of course I haven't done this for a free item before!

    • Amy D.

I went to get the Pantene and the RR didn't print. They said there was no RR for it. It must be regional. (I am in Western Washington) She said I could return them, but with my $5 RR from my previous transaction, they were free. (I also bought a deodorant that wasn't on a coupon. I did just check the ad for my area and it's not on there. The cashier said someone else had come in to do the same deal the day before. Probably a fellow Southern Saver. :-)

      • Jnn_horan

Don't understand why it didn't print…it's advertised in my flyer on the last page … check your flyer.. doesn't seem to be regional.

    • Judyj200

Bought 2 Nature Made CoQ10 – $22.99 ea. (B1G1). Had a $6.00 and a $5.00 coupon from January & February ALL YOU magazine. Thanks to SouthernSavers, downloaded a rebate worth $5.00. Bottom line: $46.00 value of CoQ10 – cost: $7.00!!

    • Kris

I purchased a Full Fast Appetite Control Spray tp get the $10 RR. In another transaction I purchased 4 Pantene shampoo/conditioner + 1 Gilette razoor. I had 2 coupons $3/2 Pantene, $4 off Gilette. I used the 10 RR + the 3 coupons. Did not get any RR's for either the Pantene (3 RR) or Gilette (5RR). They told me that because I used the 10RR i had before on the transaction, it cancelled the other RR's out. I just returned everything. Won't go back to Walgreens again. Always a problem.

      • Mary

Could it be because you had 5 items and since 2 of your coupons were attached to 2 items that it counted as 2 coupons and then your RR. The gist of it is, you might have just needed a filler item, unless the Full Fast RR was from the same company as the 2nd transaction.

        • Jnn-horan

That doesn't seem likely….fillers are only needed to push through the RR's not for the RR's to print.

      • Bsgodwin

Keep looking until you find a helpful person at Walgreens! With the right cashier, usually a woman at the cosmetics check out, they can be very helpful.
Often I talk them through it at the register, then they want me to explain how I did it!

    • Kay

For the Nature Made rebate…does the $50 have to be totaled excluding B1G1..for example, if I bought $50 worth of Nature Made but paid oop half because I got B1G1, do they still count? Sounds confusing…

      • Kay

Nevermind..it says in fine print that $50 is after subtracting coupons and discount amounts.

    • Redabecnoodle

My Walgeens had Centrum Cardio Vitamins on clearance for 4.29 and I had a 3.00 coupon that I clipped a couple of weeks ago from the paper. Got the vitamins for 1.29. Originlly 15.00 or 16.00 dollars!!

    • Redabecnoodle

Also it was my first time using the RR and coupons together. Very confusing…They wouldn't let me use the RRs if I had man. coupons unless I put in extra items. Then sometimes still didn't take them. I still got a great deal though. Also found Gold Bond Hand Sanitizing Lotion an clearance for $1.29 and had $1.00 coupon!! $.29– you can't beat that

      • Daniel

I am having the same problem at my Walgreen's. The RR are printing as manufacturer coupons so I cannot use them in conjuction with my other coupons. Example. I bought Thermacare and tried to use the RR on a razor. I had a mf coupon for the razor but since the walgreens was also manufacturer they would not let me use it. Anyone have any ideas on this. If this is how its going to be I am not going back

        • june

It sounds like you are half way there to understanding Wags shopping. Check out the link “walgreen's getting started guide” in the upper right hand corner under “Walgreens Links” at the top of the page. You are correct about only using 1 manufacturer's coupon and a RR is a manufacturer's coupon. You just need a filler item to use both.

        • Jnn_horan

Basically, you're trying to use two coupons on one item … you need to have two items to use the two coupons .. this is where “fillers” come in to play. The reward you got back for the thermacare was 2.50 and the razor blade was 9.99 – 4.00 q which brings it to 5.99 you would have had to pay. You then buy a 0.25 “filler” (could be a candy bar) in order to use the 2.50rr which would leave a balance of 2.25 which in turn would go towards bringing down the 5.99 to 3.74 out of pocket. hth. This is basically how the RR program works.

        • Dawn

On the Thermacare deal, I bought 1 Thermacare and 2 Arizona Teas (.50 each with wags in ad coupon) and I used the 1.00 off thermacare and used a 2.50 RR from last week (General Mills) and owed nothing, not even tax! ;p Yay for free teas! I actually used them in all my transactions as fillers.

Wags does take planning though, I was off on Sunday and paid with something else, and ended up missing a 6 RR that expired Monday. :( I find its easier to plan out my transaction, write down how much it is, how many coupons I have, how many RR I have and how much filler I need. (I mess up less when I do this!) Wags is hard to do on the fly though, and I find sometimes a key item in my scenario is sold out!

I have to go back tomorrow to use up one more RR too. I'm having trouble finding cheap “useful” filler though! I usually grab the TP when its 2/1.00 or the Raemen noodles are like .39 at my store

          • lookin4abargain

ye have .25 matches at the register. Not sure if you can use them, but my husband being the master of our grill, uses them to light his charcoal.

            • lookin4abargain

ooops, meant to say they have matched at the register.

        • lookin4abargain

when shopping there your can stack the 2 coupons you just have to add a low cost filler item. I did the same transaaction as you, but when I got to the reigster I added a .25 pack of matches. It sound wierd but their register is set up to take 1 man. coupon per item. Eventhough the coupon is not for the matches, their system recognizes the two items, therefore allowing it take apply the discount coupons. I hope this helps.

      • msivory20

Yeah, Wags can be frustrating that way. You can't have more RR and q's than you do items, which is why Jenny always posts “small filler items” ideas. This week I needed filler items so I could get my diapers with manu. q's and RR's, and I found clearance Christmas candy for 12 cents each!

    • Carla Galentine

I am in Jacksonville, Fl and I went to my closest Walgreens had all my transactions mapped out went and got all products and transactions ready in the order I needed to do them in. It was about 1:30 am no other customers besides me…. And when I was ready to checkout I was informed by cashier and night manager that per corporate they could not redeem RR that I was getting on different transactions back to back. The manager did allow me to do one but then told me I would have to come back in the morning to do any other redeeming of RR. I was highly dissappointed what time I had wasted. Well needless to say I did 2 transactions with them only redeeming one RR and then traveled to other stores to find they were closed and came to one alot further from me open.. I walked in with coupons in hand and asked manager if I could perform multiple transactions and use RR he advised yes as long as I don't go over coupon limitations that are printed. What a GREAT store on Normandy manager and cashier were very helpful and apologized for inconvenience of other store and welcome me and my coupons to there store anytime.

      • meredith

what store in jax turned u down the first time

        • Carla Galentine

the one on the corner of Blanding and Wilson

      • nikki

I really like the normandy wags too. They are really nice and usually very q friendly.

    • FreedomSpradley1

Got 2 Kraft Homestyle Mac&Cheese bags, used 2 -$1 manf coupons and the Wags -$1/2 coupon and got 2 bags for $0.34. The cashier said I didn't have to get a filler item as long as he scanned the Wags coupons last. It worked!!

      • Bethany

Where did you get the 2 -$1 manf coupon? I haven't been able to find it even when I click “printed.” I can't find it on the website. Am I looking in the wrong place?

    • Jeannie Rivera66

I recently went to Wags and tried to use the $1 Thermacare coupon. The manager rejected it, saying that it was a reproduction and not an original. I told him that I had printed it and he said that the manufacturers were returning all of the printed coupons he was submitting. He told me he is not accepting anymore printed coupons, unless they include some type of authentication bar—-he said it will be something he can scratch off with a key or coin.

Has anyone run into this same type of issue? He said ALL Walgreens were doing this.

Today is Friday, so someone else may have already discovered this but:
The Dayquil/Nyquil deal for $5.00 and then RR when you spend $15 or $20 can be even better if:
      buy 4 Dayquil/Nyquil @ $5.00 each get $10.00 RR
      use $3.00 coupon PG 12/26
      use 2 $1.50 coupon PG1/16
      pay $14.00
      get $10.00 RR
total: 4 boxes for $1 each

I'm not a big fan of Walgreens, so I need some help. I want to buy 3 of the Gillette razors, and I have 3 of the $4 off coupons. Do I have to buy these in 3 separate transactions (I know not to roll the rewards), or if I buy them all 3 in one transaction, will I still get all 3 of my $5 RR ?

You need to buy them in separate transactions. Only one RR will print per offer per transaction. HTH!

Thanks so much! That's what I figured, but since I'm sending my husband, I was hoping to make it easy on him!
