“$5 RR wyb Schick Hydro 3 or 5 Razor System at $7.99
-$2 off Schick Hydro Razor or Refills in store dispenser (found in grocery stores)
      (makes it 99¢)
(note: if you use the new $5 off coupon your RR will probably not print)”

      • SusanStauffer

Because the coupon is for the same amount as the RR. The Catalina system will think you are using the $5 RR to pay for your razor, not the coupon, and so it's not going to print one.

We went through that a couple of weeks ago with the $5/2 Sudafed deal, with the $5 RR not printing until they fixed it, and allowed it to roll. Hopefully they will do that soon, but I'm not going to go through the hassle until they do.

        • Mike

You read it here first – there will NOT be any problems getting the $5 RR if you use the $5 manufacturer coupon coming out this weekend.

The reason for this has nothing to do with the coupon amount, but rather how the coupon is coded. The Sudafed deal was different, and without boring you with the nitty-gritty details, this will not be a repeat of that, and everyone will get their $5 RR's just fine :)

This week is HOT because the Schick razor is a 2 dollar money maker!

          • kelli

thanks! I hope you're right. This'll only my forth week of walgreens, although I skipped this week. I've got a ton of rrs to roll, so hopefully this deal will work out. :)

        • visitor

The sudafed coupon was coded the same as the RR they were offering. I hear that the coupon in the insert does not have the 992 coding so we should be ok. I sure hope so!

    • Mrssmith

Yeah-not a good week. But I have ooodles of rr so I will buy trash bags, the freebie, and maybe some other things.

      • kelli

I've got $21 in rrs that expire on sunday and $20 that expire on thursday. I see me buying a bunch of random stuff next week.

        • Shirley

Ouch, Kelli, the same goes for me, RRs expiring on Sunday, so gotta make the run.

Jenny says, “To me it is a very slow week. Maybe you need something here, if not I would just stay home.”

We wish we could Jenny. Thanks and cheers

          • ItsACouponThing

Try to be among the first to grab-up a bunch of the EOS shave creams, along with the Aleve if it helps. Buy them in separate transactions, making sure the manufacturer doesn't make the same product. (They won't give you new RRs if it is.) This way you get a bunch of product for tax only, plus renew your RRs! If you don't want the shave cream, you can donate to a women's shelter and you've still saved yourself two more weeks on your RRs, and then you can use them on what you want, not because you have to. :-)

        • SusanStauffer

Do you have a Publix near you? You can spend them there!

          • kelli

I wish!!! no Publix in SWVA. :(

          • LindaB

My Publix won't accept them :(

        • Dianne

This is one of the things that bothers me about Walgreens. They will have a GREAT week where we get lots of RRs, and then when the RRs are due to expire, there's nothing to replace them with!

        • LindaB

That has happened to me a couple of times..I ended up getting milk, bread, eggs, newspapers etc…things I normally “buy” every week with real dollars. Made my grocery bill $0 those weeks.

    • Michelle

i signed up for the soft scrub, but it didn't give a BOGO Q, only $1 off.

      • Lindsay

you have to go to the members only special offers section. It took me a minute to find it but I did.

    • kcreviews

Jenny, it may be a slow week, but in your scenario, you paid around $4 for that stuff and got $5 back. Still a moneymaker!

      • cassia2

No, because the second transaction is lower because she uses the RR from the first.

    • Yay! Finally some FREE 7 Up for me with that awesome coupon!

    • sonyapell

On the B1G1 Softscrub coupon, I just went to their site and registered. After I confirmed my account, I went back to their site and logged in, and was able to print 2 coupons by going to member exclusives on the left side of the screen. I didn't have it e-mailed to me. :)

      • Ashley

Awesome. Too bad the $1 q must be dead.

        • hecandash

Go to the special offers tab at the top of the webpage and you will find the 1.00 coupon. I just printed mine about 5 minutes ago.

    • jessyca

Im having a HARD time trying to figure out what to spend 36 RRs on.. and do it in one transaction.. because im sure the WITCH cashier that i DO NOT like will be working Sunday morning. so i just want to get it done and over with. my RRs expire on the 9th and 10th. i think i am about done shopping at walgreens due to them being so rude and coupon unfriendly.

      • Ashley

I hear ya, I hate my Walgreens employees too. I stopped shopping there for months until the nature's bounty deal gave me $40 in profit a couple of weeks ago! Now I've got $32 RR left and it expires on the 9th and this week is absolutely no good for rolling! I hope the Schick coupon will roll b/c that would help tremendously. Guess I'll just have to end up spending them at Publix.

      • heather

        Amen to that!!

      • theresachilders

I am not sure where you live, but I have found that if I check out in the beauty section and not at the regular registers up front, the cashiers seem to be a little more friendly. For the longest time, I did not shop at Wallgreens for the same reason. I have also discovered my favorite Wallgreens. We have several in the area and I have vistited most of them. I refuse to shop at a few and now will only shop at my favorite. However, there is a particular cashier that I avoid. If she is working, I find someone else to check me out. Hope this helps.

        • shelly

hey i work at a walgreens, and we love coupon people, i myself am starting coupons because i check out so many in my store and see how much they saved..i work in the beauty dept. and i would rather check out all the coupon people on my reg. because i can take up more time with yall and make sure all the rr print and all the coupons work. i know some like to do more than one trans. and doing it at the front just makes them get a line, we are trained not to let our lines get over three people so checking out in cosmetics is the best thing for coupon people to do so our front dont get backed up adn cos, has way more time to spend on getting your trans. right.

          • Gina

I have learned to go to the beauty section and check out there.
I was in walgreens 2 weekends ago in Ringgold and the elderly lady at the front cashier wouldn't allow me to do 2 orders.. There wasn't anyone in the store! It was early sunday morning.. She just wouldn't have it! LOL

        • Gina

If you shop in Ringgold.. Please go to the lady at the beauty section.. She is so much more friendlier and she has blonde hair.. Don't know her name.. She will help you with your coupons because she loves them.. LOL

      • gingerinCA

I feel ya. I'm thinking this is the week for me to buy some beauty products I've had an eye on. Of course, there's always stuff like milk, Sunday papers, and toilet paper, too. Have you checked to see if your local Kroger or other grocery will take Wags RRs? It's definitely worth asking.

      • armywife74

some things people use rewards for on sundays are papers, its an idea for some of your rewards.

      • Gina

May I ask what walgreens this is? Is it the one in Ringgold?

    • ItsACouponThing

Can someone please tell me some things in the store for only 10 cents? The cheapest thing I know of is 50-cent knee-high's or the 39- to 59- cent in-ad deals they get. I'd love to find something cheaper!

      • Carrie

One thing I've been doing for fillers is buying the single packet of seeds 3 for $1. I've been buying the veggies and then giving them to the local food pantry in hopes that someone can plant them and grow their own food. Other than that, I usually don't find anything cheaper for a filler.

      • Gina

The cheapest that I know of is the .33 carmel candy.

      • Look for the clearance section. I've found stickers, pens, pencils markers, etc.. for 11 cents-49 cents.

      • chillto

        I buy Ramen soup…33 cents…makes a great lunch!

    • Brenda Z

Even if for some reason the RR doesnt print with the $5 Q use on the razor, it shouldn't be hard to convince them to print one, because in the actual flyer it says “coupon savings in most sunday papers”. They're basically advertising for us to get the deal. With the benadryl fiasco my cashiers were very helpful and apologetic that the RR disnt print and they helped me out. Hoping for the same thing this week! Especially on mother's day :-)

    • MatthewFox

You can spend your Walgreen's Register Rewards at Publix?

I really like Walgreens in general, but I'm definitely becoming a CVS man, there just aren't many, if any, good deals at Walgreens every week. When they do have something good they're out before I even get there Sunday afternoon!

      • Publix accepting anything other than a true grocery competitor is becoming rare. Ask your store CS first.

    • Supermombeaufort

I need a filler item to balance out the product to coupon ratio for Wags. Do the filler items that require in ad coupons work or does that add another coupon?

      • Carrie

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but WAGS does not treat store coupons the same as Man.Qs. Therefore, you can use the in-ad coupon without needing a filler item as long as the number of your Man. Qs doesn't exceed the number of products you are purchasing.

        • rob

          you are right!

      • shelly

you need to use filler items that dont require any kind of coupon. try to find something that is just on sale no coupon require to use the right amount of coupons.

        • rob

actually, that is not correct. Walgreens coupons do NOT count toward the item-to-coupon ratio. I buy things with in-ad coupons all the time to use as fillers. I asked a manager once about it and she also said that you can always use a Walgreens coupon on an item as a “filler” and it is only the manu. coupon numbers that count.

          • Gina

The cashier at walgreens told me today that I could use a walgreens coupon with a Manufactor coupon.. I bought 3 dawn DL
and used the in-store coupon .97 and 3 .50 off each

      • Gina

A good filler Item is the .33 carmel candy.. The cashier always grabs one for me when I need something else for my coupons to work… It's cheap and taste great!

        • diane

I usually give it to the cashier, if he/she will take it

    • JD

Does anyone know what time on Sat the Catalina machine starts printing Sun ad deals

      • shelly

i work at a walgreens, anytime you see an ad in the paper with a date under it, it will only work on those dates, such as our new ad starts may 9th anything that will ring up on a sale price without any coupons will active on saturday when the manager activates the ad or when it auto activates(times differ at different stores). anything with a catalina coupon or something you have to use a store coupon to get the price down will only work on sundays. the store shouldnt put out rr or coupon tags till sunday anyway.

    • TraceyGA

Thanks Jenny. I'm glad I used all my RR this week.

    • Theresa

I bought the Schick Hydro razor today with the $5 coupon and got the $5 RR, no problem. Also bought 8 Hallmark cards @ .99 each for another $5 RR. Total oop was $10, so pleased.

      • kelli

I got the $5 rrs with after using the $5 coupon too. I'm so pleased. :)

I did 3 transactions this morning. I started with $41 rrs and ended with $24. They were all expiring in the next few days and I knew that I wasn't going to make it back out to walgreens this week, so I just spent them on fun stuff. I spent about $4 oop, more than half of that was tax but I got my mom and fiance a present, I got some pudding – which my fiance loves, and I got an extension cord, which we needed. So, not a bad day at all.

I'm still not sure that I'm cut out for walgreens though.

      • Briget

My Walgreens told me that Hallmark wasn't honoring the RR deal when I went on Wednesday. I was disappointed that I bought 8 cards and no RR!! The manager also told me that they are no longer aloud to override RR when they don't print…if the machine doesn't print it, you don't get it. My razor RR didn't print either, so I returned it. Not a fan of Walgreens right now!!

        • mcleodsc

I hope you returned everything right then and there. Anything that does not produce the RR as advertised should be returned right then and there.

        • PatriciaABusyMom

Ask for a paper form to submit the RR request. My WAG registers were not printing any RR and the manager gave me a paper form to mail in. You will have to pay postage, but I still get all my RRs. Hope that helps!

    • lv2savemoney

I also bought 18 razors today and used the $5 coupon in Virginia. My $5 RR printed everytime.

      • Stacy

Why do you need 18 razors? Isn' the limit 1? That's why they are out when the rest of us go in to buy the sale items.

        • steen

the reason someone buys 18 razors, isnt just for the RR's, but down the road and during the next weeks, these items will be returned to various stores for either cash or more likely store credits, which can be used for items that are needed.

now a person who buys 18 razors, might disagree with this, but c'mon, we all know !

          • Mike

            you're dumb.

            • uknowme

              I agree.

            • lv2savemoney

First of all, I have the right to buy as many as I want to. I purchased 18 papers and can buy what I want, I can afford it. Second of all, I don't sell anything at a flea market, never have and never will. I have never taken anything back to the store to make money on something that purchased in the past. The store that I purchased them at had plenty of them and appreciated my business. I left at least 50 of them on the display when I left the store. There is no limit of anything in my store which by the way has 2 other Walgreens within a mile of it. And yes, I buy so many when they are free because why would I pay for cartridges when I can get the razor for free. Lastly, I have been blessed with the gift of couponing from God, therefore, I donate alot of things to people who can't afford these items and to the churches. Comments like yours is why I don't like writing anything to help people know that it did print out a RR. Don't judge someone if you don't know why they are buying 18 since I have already donated half of them.

            • steen

i still say you return them for cash and credit.
and you prove my point, by saying you buy 18 papers, cost $18. Razor cost after RR $2-4, lets say $3 thats another $54 , so plus the $18 already spent , it equals $72.00.

and you say your doing this for the few Razors that come in that inital pack. This is really funny to say the least, but pretty dumb if that how your managing coupons.

so it again proves that your returning the razors for cash and credit.

BUT if it makes you Happy, then good…do what you want.

PS, no Walgreens has 50 Razors…they have that one display , with maybe 6-10 hanging up. as far as limits, as long as any multiples are rang up as individual purchases theyll let you buy, also in many cases to get RR's they have to be purchased seperatley…so that doesnt wash with us., so please, Ill stop now, BUT Dont kid us, we all know, youve been outed….LOL.

            • 3monkeysmom

Your math is a little off on that. She(sorry if I'm assuming, might be he) bought 18 papers. Not sure how much papers are where she lives but they are $2 in my area, which is $36 for 18. With the razors there is a $2.01 PROFIT after the $5 q and the $5 RR. That's a PROFIT of $36.18. If you subtract the cost of the papers, that's still a PROFIT of 18 cents (not including tax, of course).
And I don't think the reason is that far-fetched. I have bought plenty of new razors in RR or ECB deals using coupons b/c it is waaaay cheaper than buying the refills, which are only occasionaly included in the razor sales….also do this with Airwick I-Motions b/c the coupons for the refills are a low-dollar amount and with sales/coupons the whole kit is usually free! It just makes sense financially to do it that way, though admittedly, it is wasteful.
I also don't think it is that far-fetched that the “extras” she has would be donated. I often do this. I buy things I don't need/want and give them to my cousin who donates them to local charities and I also buy extras to give to some friends at church who are low-income.
As far as how many razors are on the display, I have personally never seen that many at my local Wags but that doesn't mean that she is lying about it….if you've not been to the store she shops at, then you cannot say for sure if that's true or false. It could be that her store anticipated alot of people would be coming in for that deal, and they stocked up :-)

            • steen

1-anyone and everyone has the RIGHT to buy whatever they want.
              2-the end caps, while containing SOME RR products, do not have Razors and Blades on them, they will have store items or NON-National products. Razors and Blades are filled by merchandisers in supermarkets and drug store chains {just ask the mgr}
              ***THE MATH {revised}***
              18 newspapers @ $1.25 ea, equals $22.50
              purchase 18 Razors @ 7.99 PLUS 6% sales tax = $8.47 Minus $5.00 mfg Q = $3.47 ea X 18 = $62.46

              $62.46 + $22.50 = $84.96 {total cash outlay} for $90.00 RR for future products.

so you get $90.00 off future purchases but had to outlay $85.00 !!!

if its good for you, OK.

            • 3monkeysmom

The point I was trying to make is nobody should assume that someone is selling items or returning them for cash based on the quantity they purchased :-)
Regardless who is correct on the math, she still made a profit, along with getting 18 free razors. And any situation that allows you to donate, keep some for yourself, and still make a profit is a win/win for everyone :-)
              And 6% tax??? I wish! In the 3 towns I shop in it's 8%, 9%, and 10% :-(

            • SalesTax

              Our tax is 6.5%

            • 3monkeysmom

You are so lucky :) What state are you in? I'm in AL. 6.5% would be a dream come true for me….I try not to do my Wags/CVS runs in the town that has the 10% tax but that's where the closest Target is so that's usually the Target I go to ( btw, the speed limit in the Target shopping center is 27mph! couldn't be 25 or 30- nope, had to be 27..this town is nuts!!).

            • steen

              final word on this subjest.

1 – laying out 85 dollars for 90 dollars RR isnt smart.

              2- if you are doing so its because your returning to other stores for cash and /or credit….we all know this to be true amongst the FEW that abuse, as is the case in the person who buys 18 razors {for the blades…yeah right !!!}

3- razors are never at end caps, i was a merchandiser and I know this to be true.

4- if you deny it and believe a lie to be ture then in your mind it is true and correct, good for you, and happy Qponing, but for me i live more rightous.

              5- dont kid a kidder.

6- we all see the truth.

              7- I am right {in this case}

            • 3monkeysmom

              1. Laying out $85 for $90 AND 18 razors IS smart, not to mention the fact that those coupon inserts had more than just the $5 razor coupon, so more $$$ will be saved
              2. Unless you are clairvoyant, you don't know that
              3. You WERE a merchandiser, things could have changed since then.
              4. SELF-righteous, maybe
              5. I'm not kidding anybody, I have NO reason to think lv2savemoney is lying
              6. You seem to be the only one seeing this
              7. Your opinions, feelings and assumptions are NOT facts ( we all learned the difference between fact and opinion in elementary school ), so you cannot logically come to the conclusion that you are right.

            • steen

well this thread goes to prove one thing.

there are people that take all off the shelves and leave nothing for anyone else.

              everyone has opinions.

              everyone has feelings {but i never ONCE called anyone names}

everyone assumes they know it all.

I am talking about everyone, including myself.

              we can all learn to disagree. {or Not for some}

we also know that while some peoples couponing habits are to buy what they need, others buy anything, in any quantity because its on sale, free or whatever.

and the reason we have such diverse ways of this , is because you , I and everyone are Geniouses of Ourselves !

as i once told someone, I am the Genious of Myself and so are you.

so embrace that saying, and whenever a different point of view is presented, you can process however you wish, because…..{taadaa—>> You the genious of Yourself.

              ps- enjoy the razors !

            • 3monkeysmom

              Lol….I don't use men's razors :-)

            • 3bettins

gosh, I just came from my Walgreens tonight and I couldn't find the razors so I asked the cosmetics lady and she told me they were right there- there on the endcap! Somebody must not be doing their job correctly, according to you!

            • amesa5

Steen, you forgot to take into account that he used $3RR to pay for the cost of the razor the $5 coupon left over, so your $62.46 expense goes down to tax only (about $8.62) and that he bought the coupons from clipping site, 20 coupons for $10, which brings your $22.50 cost down to $10 for a toal outlay of $18.62.

Thats $18.62 out of pocket, $90 in RR to buy more items later, and 18 razors that can be used instead of buying replacement cartridges for at least a few months . . . or until the next razor deal pops up!

The companies do these special promotions in order to get you to buy their replacement cartridges later. But if you buy enough Free/MM, you won't ever have to buy the overpriced replacements.

            • tracyinmissouri

              Wow, Steen knows it all……………
( tongue firmly planted in cheek)

Ps. We have stores that have endcaps full of RR items. But since Steen knows all , I wont argue.

            • uknowme

First of all, when I posted about people using the Smash and Grab, it's a term when people clean out the store shelves and leave nothing, not a big deal to me, I just go to another store, since there are many in South Florida. And yes you have the right to buy as many as you want and the stores have the right to let you buy as many as they want to sell you. And as my Reply comment to Mike, I think he is right, I don't know of anyone taking their merchandise back to the store to make money, if they do and get away with it, nothing I can do about it, I thinks it's wrong. And I don't know what comment offended you, still can't figure that one out. If a cashier or manager will let you do more than one transaction great, that's up to the store.

And one more thing, I'm sure most people do the same thing as you, including me, give a lot of the stuff away, I have a son in the Military, and most of the things I do pick up, goes to him and his friends. I also don't think there is anything tricky about using coupons, it's all about doing the math.

          • dianebenatar

I disagree. I won't buy 18 razors because I didn't get 18 papers. (darn AJC didn't package 2 papers together this week) We have 4 shavers in my house. One (my husband) shaves his head and goes through a blade a week. I still have some fusions left from that awesome sale, but not many. If I have a huge overflow, I give it to the women's and children's shelter. (Those women might want clean legs and underarms) Other things, like meds and first aid stuff goes with friends who go on mission trips. (I'm jewish, so this is not a religious plug) Anyway, and again, let's not just assume the worst.

        • uknowme

Maybe, that when the blades go bad, you just replace it with ones from the other razor's that he bought. Since they were free, why not. If he had to replace those cartridges, for the 18 razors he bought, it would have cost him around $100.

          I call it Smart Shopping!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

          • Ashley

Try leaving razor in oil(olive oil, etc) lve2savemoney. It'll last longer because the razor is essentially rusting even though you can't see it w/out the oil. Then no more cleared out dawggone shelves!

        • Ashley

It sucks to have someone clear the dawggone shelf, but it is not limit 1. It is just letting you know that only 1 rr will print at a time. Only some of their sale items or In Ad q's state limit 1 per customer.

        • tracy

been seeing alot of people at flea markets selling these iems there.. thats so wrong

        • Dianne

I think it's only RiteAid and CVS that set limits. You can get as many as you want in Walgreens, so that's why they are often out of items there. I hope there will be a razor for me when I go tomorrow!!

        • kkiley

if u get what u need, for as many as u can, for at less cost as u can, god bless!! some weeks i get alot of papes and others i don't.. who cares, i could care less if i get the “sale” item now or the next time i go back to store.. as long as i get my rain check, for as many of the out of stock item, i want!! with a rain check you are still getting item at sale price, and as long as mfg q is not expired, u'll still get your item at lowest price.. who cares if u are only going back to same store later??? don't get it..??

      • Cathy

Most people are just jealous that you had the foresight to get 18 papers. Good for you. All people do on here is put each other down instead of offering help to others. And then your comments get edited if not agreed with or people freak out and start putting you down.
As I see it.. you ROCKED this deal and people can just get over it. :) I don't even like to play the drugstore game because of all the pathetic cashiers that work at MY walgreens (NOT all walgreens.. so don't start freaking out people!) BUT when I see people like you who rock the sales… I am inspired! You know how to get the most out our your coupons… and just ignore the others… ugh everyone has to put down everyone else…. and they will keep commenting over and over again to get their lame point across. Remember, its just jealousy. Heck, I didn't even get one razor, but I'm not b****ing about it. Keep up the good work!

        • Comments are only editing for cursing and just being plain mean. I try my hardest to keep the 1st amendment intact even when I wish folks when would just be sweet.

    • Gina

I really love walgreens lately.. I went into the store today and spent 26.30 and my total was over 107.00 I bought a few nicorette gums they had marked down for 12.99 and I had 2 7.00 off of that.. What a steal.. I had 6 coupons 3.00 off bic razors and used them.. I'm amazed at how much money I've been saving at walgreens… CVS hasn't had great deals lately in my opionin but not many stores has.

    • Lindsay

I have a question. If I am buying 2 softscrubs and 1 Aleve in one transaction and I have 2 coupons: 1 for aleve and one B1G1 for the soft scrub and I want to use a RR, will I need a filler item? I know I technically have the same amount of items and coupons (3 items, 3 coupons including the RR) but Ihave heard some cashiers say that the B1G1 coupon counts as 2 coupons. I'm just trying to plan my scenarios and want to be prepared. I don't want to hear any beeping! Thanks!

      • Ashley

No there won't be any beeping, did it today, do it all the time

    • David

Did the Greenville News get the schick coupon?

      • SAN

    • aprilwall

The $5 off coupon from today's paper works on the Shick razor deal – the register reward still prints! This means you will earn $2.01 per razor before accounting for a small filler item – Van Camps pork&beans are 50 cents with in-ad coupon if you are looking for a filler you can add to a meal.

    • Sarah

I couldn't find the Kashi coupon. Anyone else having that problem?

      • JenMac

I can't find the Kashi coupon either…there isn't one under the printables. Kinda confused by that.

    • caroline

I was just at Walgreens and was told they are no longer carrying papers. Got my deal on Skippy peanut butter and that's it! So much for using my RR to get the Sunday paper.

      • Ashley

Wow are you in a small town or something?

    • pete72

My $5.00 RR printed no problem for the Hydro Razor even with using the $5.00 coupon in this weeks papers.

      • kkiley

i had a cashier tell me that u can't use a mangf q with rewards coupon? only in store or monthly flyer? can someone tell me what is the real deal with rewards?

        • pete72

The cashiers at Walgreens don't always know quite what is allowed and what is not allowed coupon wise, but yes you can use the manufacturers coupon with a rewards coupon but if you are only trying to buy one item but use 2 coupons you will need to purchase a 2nd item (a cheap filler item) as you cannot have more coupons than items if I am not mistaken.

    • Nancy

My Walgreens refused to honor the B1G1 coupon for the softscrub “b/c it was already B1G1” in the store. Couldn't talk them into it. Overall, they are the most difficult to deal with around here. Much less hassles at CVS or Rite Aid in Albany, NY area.

    • rhughescoupons

Looks like a slow week at Wags and Rite Aid…guess we'll stay home and start potty training tomorrow instead….

    • Mia

Don't forget about the $3 RR on Pepsi 12 packs. Makes it $2.25 each!

    • Couponer

At my Walgreens today they had a sign where the EOS Shave Cream was that said “See Beauty Associate” so I asked her and she said that they are keeping them behind the counter now because there are some “mean coupon women” that come in and put all of them in their cart and do a hundred transactions to buy them all and then the “nice coupon women” come in and they are gone! She said the “mean” women hadn't been in yet today and she was nervous about it. I felt bad that she should have to be nervous about that!! But I do hate it when I go in there and all of the RR items are already gone – now I know why that was happening and I'm glad they are trying to make it more “fair”.

      • Brenda Z

ha- love that they look out for the scary couponers! But at my wags I am just told I am not allowed to buy more than 1 of an item with RRs, no matter if it's different transactions or not. they simply say limit 1 per customer. Works just fine. But it makes sense to “hide” em if people can't be rational.

    • Wanda M

I need clarification of the B1G1 Soft Scrub Deal. I have the Mfg Q that I just printed out. Now, what? Just use that and I will get both free? (Sorry, if I sound stupid)

      • Ashley

Yes Walgreens takes off the price of one because they are giving it to you for free. When you hand the coupon, the cashier punches in the price for the other one that the manufacturer is paying for. Remember to get a raincheck if they are out.

    • CoachKaterina

I was so bummed here in South Florida. The Palm Beach Post and the Sun Sentinal- neither had the $5 Shick Hydro coupons. I was so looking forward to having fun with this. I still get the razors with the RRs from the Shaving cream but that is not as fun as the deal with the $5 coupon!

We have about 4 Walgreens very close to our house. I love our Walgreens Cashiers. Today the manager asked me to teach him how I get all these deals and get to spend 98 cents for over $40 in products! It is really fun when they are enjoying the coupon ladies.

I had another one that was really nasty to me and wanted to create a problem about every transaction. That was a store that was near an event I had dropped my son off to. Since I had planned on spending my time in WAGs while my son was in his session- I dreaded having this particular cashier again. Then I was walking around the store, she came up to me and said, You are really saving money with the coupons aren't you? Of course I smiled and said yes. Then she was checking me out and again was giving me a hard time with the Nivea deal. She then told me that she was not trying to be mean but that she was so scared of making a mistake because she really needed this job. So she called the manager over who of course said my transaction was fine. She gave a big sigh of relief. I told her I would never do anything to cause her to lose her job. She then told me her son loves the Irish Spring body wash. So I gave her one of my coupons for it. Now she is my 'pal'. She then started to ask me how to do the couponing.

So it pays to give the benefit of the doubt and be empathetic to all the cashiers.

    • Ashley

I got 3 Hydro razors, 3 Eos shaving cream, 4 Soft Scrub, 2 7 UP, 2 newspapers, and hand sanitizer for $3.47 with $30 RR left. Yay!

    • Brittney

If you buy the mitchum it prints out a $.75 coupon for another one so you can either go back and buy another one for $1.24 or take it to CVS its onsale for $2.99 so you can get it for $2.24 and it prints out $1 EVB and it says you need 1 more to reach the limit so you can go back get another one for $1.99 or if you got two papers get it for $1.24. These are usually $4.99 or at CVS over $5 so its a good deal

    • Lynnette

My WAGS in NW FL manager would not let me do the BIGI softscrub coupon with the BIGI store coupon. She said I couldn't get something for free. I smiled and said that the rest of my purchases would be free when I did my other transactions. Which they were, I spent $2 OOP and got $3 RR.

A little frustrating about the Softscrub though. Has anyone else had that problem?

      • Lynnette

So after posting I decided to call Walgreen's corporate. They were very apologetic & said yes I should have been able to get the softscrub for free. FYI. & also they are calling the store to straighten them out.

      • Asmith

I was able to use the B1G1 without a problem in Chester, VA but they only had 3 on the shelf so I was only able to get 2.

        • kkiley

yea, but don't it work like this.. if u have a coupon for something and the store is out of item you can get a rain check for item to scure sale price? and or get item u wanted?

    • Ashley

I went to thecouponclippers dot come to get the $5 razor q and I accidently clicked on the shaving gel. When I went back to get it and order it, it had disappeared. Does anyone know why? Does that mean they are all out?

    • candicebraswell

I went to Walgreen in Pelham, AL this evening and did the B1G1 free softscrub and had 2 B1G1 free coupons to use with it. I left with 4 free Softscrubs. No problems.

    • Deborah

Does anyone know of a pharmacy offering a “deal” on a new prescription??

      • Becky

The only one I know of right now for a new (not transferred) prescription is a $10.00 gift card offer with a new or transferred prescription at Target. You have to have the coupon that was in this past Sunday's sale paper from Target.

    • sdshaw

If anyone in the Birmingham area is trying to do the free Soft Scrub do not go to the store on Montclair. My husband and I both went. We each bought the two soft scrubs, the Hydro 5, and the EOS shaving cream. Plus I redeemed a free coupon I had from the store. He used 5RR that I had. They let him use the B1G1 on the soft scrub after first telling him it was a fake. They refused to let me use it even though I was in line behind him. Went to the Leeds store and had no problem using my other one. Reported it to their customer care department.

    • Becky

Remember the Walgreen's ink cartridge refill deal from a few weeks ago? Well, I left a cartridge to be refilled and they never called me to tell me it was ready. So I called them today and the lady said the cartridge failed. She explained that meant the little gold bars on the back were damaged. I commented that was strange because I had taken it right out of my printer where it was working and brought it to them to be refilled. She said she would try it again and call me back and, miraculously, this time it worked! Anyone else have this experience. Sounds fishy to me!

      • rachelmac13

Yep I've had this problem too. It just says on their computer screen that the printer cartidge failed. So yes, it's happened to me. The clerk just said it happens some times.
I have found that their refilled cartridges aren't lasting very long. Maybe half as long as a regular one does.
        Anyone have this happen too??

    • 3monkeysmom

I went to Wags yesterday and did two transactions. The first one, I only bought the EOS shave cream and I hit the jackpot!!! In addition to the $3 RR, it printed off (2) $1.50 off Gillette Body Wash q's, a $1 off any 2 Skippy PB products q and the last one that printed said it's not a coupon, but it says if you buy “participating Tide items” 100 oz or larger between 5/23 and 5/29, you will save $4 off your next order with coupon (wondering if this is going to be an RR deal that week or if this little paper has to be shown to them in order to get it). The coupons don't expire until July so I'm hoping they'll have a good sale on this stuff :)
The cashier was doubled over laughing about this, said she didn't think it was going to stop and she's never it seen it print out so many coupons at once. I haven't either…the last couple of times it printed out anything besides RRs, it was only advertisements for Dish Network.
My second transaction only spit out the RR :)

    • shellierob

I keep getting “Print Limit Reached message” when I try to print certain coupons. I have not printed thos coupon before. Why am I getting this message?

    • roddy

Here is something that will make me never go to Walgreens again. I went to Walgreens this past Saturday because I thought the sale on Omeprazole was then. I asked the clerk as a bought, and she was not sure. So I made a mistake, but figured I would use it later so I paid the $25 and change and went home. I realized my error Monday and thought, since I still have my receipt, I am going to return and catch the sale.

I go to the same Walgreens and return it today. I hand the receipt to what I guess is the assistant manager. The return receipt has a place to sign my name and put a reason. I didn't think it mattered, so I just jotted down “Don't need”.

After that, I went to the aisle and picked up the sale that was reduced to $18.99 and had a $5RR. I also bought the Hydro razor picked up the Hydro razor at $7.99 with a $5RR and a Hydro refill because I needed some more razors.

I go to the checkout and start my purchase. I ask the clerk if it is OK to roll the rewards because I have heard some stores have a problem with that, but she said OK. So I buy the Omeprazole, get the $5RR and buy the razor and get the next $5RR. I look up and the same assistant manager is standing there looking at me and this is how the conversation goes:

She points to the Omeprazole and says, “You just returned that and put on the receipt you didn't need it.”
      I say, “I didn't, but I do now.”
      She says, “That’s fraud!”

Wow, that's alot to choose from :-)
Any of the BOGO (for free body wash or free deodorant wyb body wash) coupons would work b/c after RR both will be FREE.
If you use the $4/2 Gillette coupon, after RR it will be 48 CENTS for both.
I wouldn't use the $1/2 Old Spice b/c you will pay $3.48 for both after RR.
