        • Bart864

I bought them the other day. They were $8.99 at Walgreens and BOGO. I used 2 $4.00 off coupons and made them both for $1.98. I bought the refillable razor.

    • You have forever changed the way I shop Jenny! Thank you : )

    • MelRae

Hey Jenny! According to iheartwags, there is a catalina deal going for the Splenda that makes it a MM. From 4/18-5/15, buy 2 Splenda products, get $3, or buy 3 products, get $4.

      • I just made $19.00 at Walgreens because of this Splenda MM. I can confirm it is true. 2 Splenda products, get $3 RR or buy 3, get $4 RR. Careful though that you split up your transactions. I also fell in love with the fact that Walmart will take my RR as manufacturer coupons, I was able to purchase dinner for the amount I made just taking sugar out of the store!

        • Angie8220

what do you mean split transactions?

        • Angie8220

what do you mean split transactions?

          • Well, I had ten coupons, so I did two transactions of three boxes ($8.00 RR @ $4 per) and then two transactions of two boxes ($6.00 RR @ $3 per). If I would’ve done three transactions of three boxes, it would have left one box spare with no partner and thus no RR would print out. I just maximized my order by splitting it up accordingly. While the circular does not state a limit per transaction, the asst. manager told me that in order to get all of the RR, I would have to do separate transactions. I was shocked because I had no idea that the Splenda deal was actually giving RR back! What a sweet surprise (pardon the cheesy pun).

            • racecitymj

If you had done 5 trans. of 2 splendas each you would have made $12 RR.

The Charmin Q's listed for the charmin basic won't work. The “Big” roll is smaller than the “Mega” rolls! Silly about the wording, but I had a lady check my q's at CVS one week to make sure I wasn't using Mega roll q's! :(

      • Nita Royal

Thanks for posting this – I was about to ask that very question, as I saw this deal some time back and encountered the same problem.

        • Queensusan1111

The coupon just shows the pic of the mega roll but it states just charmin so it should work!

    • Gish Ashley2008

The $1 off 2 Clorox coupon is no longer available. :(

    • I will be getting some FREE SPLENDA!!!!

Hopefully Wags won't put a fight over the coupon being worth $0.01 more than the product.

      • Danni77girl

FYI Walgreens coupon policy states that they can manually put the coupon thru for 2.99 :)

        • Bauercandace

If you can convince them to do it…. I'd seriously print the policy and take it with you, and if the cashier won't do it calmy point it out on the policy, and if they still won't do it then ask to speak to the manager. I am quickly getting fed up with Walgreens because of how coupon-phobic they seem to be- it has to be an incredible deal before I'll set foot in there. I wish you luck, though!

          • racecitymj

I totally agree!!! I will be calling my local Walgreens tom. to try & pre-order some Splenda & get “pre-approved” to use multiple coupons before I order them….we`ll see how that goes : /

      • Kenzbug

Good luck! I know they are supposed to take & adjust the coupon, however mine won't do it, even after printing out the policy and showing them. My whole store needs to be trained properly on what their policy is, I have this problem with all of the cashiers including management. I called their corporate office, and no return phone call. I've just given up on them. CVS is right across the street from them and soooooooo much easier.

    • Jacquims

How does it work when WAGS has a B1G1 and you have aB1G1 Q?

      • Danni77girl

you get both for free its in there coupon policy

        • jgo

Can you tell me where in their coupon policy it states that you can use a BOGO coupon on a BOGO sale and get both items for free? I looked through their policy and cannot find where it states this..thanks.

          • Karen

I'm with you JGO, it's not specific in their store policy. I even asked a manager several months ago when I had one and he said if the computer takes it off then it is workable. It didnt. The computer only recognized their deal and my Q had no effect (so I kept the Q). I HAVE done this at Rite Aid. It does say in their policy that a B1G1 Q combined with a B1G1 deal results in you only paying tax.

      • Duggerld

What is B1G1 that has a B1G1 coupon? I love those deals & would hate to miss one

      • Barbara

You should get both free, but you may want to print their policy and take it in with you when you try this. I have one or two cashiers that always give me trouble with this one. I finally know who to go to when I have coupons and who not to. But, I recently did this exact thing and had someone tell me I would have to “buy” one to get the others free. Which meant getting 5 items instead of the 4 I had planned to get free. I said to just put it back, I didn't want them then. I went back the next morning and talked to my “couponing cashier” and she put it through with no problem! Good luck!

        • jgo

where does it state in their policy that a BOGO coupon can be used on a BOGO sale to get both items for free? The only thing I read in their policy is that up to 2 coupons can be used on a BOGO promotion. Thanks.

    • Lasmith706

The Air Wick starter sets are on sale 50% off, making them 3.99 and there was a coupon in last weeks paper or maybe the week before for 4.00 off a starter set making them totally FREE!!!

      • Lasmith706

Sorry, just noticed the dates posted are for next weeks deals… the Air wick is until the 23rd.

        • Mcleodsc

my wags would not let me use a $4 coupon on a 3.99 product.

          • Kenzbug

Mine wouldn't either. If you read in their policy is says “if you have a 4.99 product and a $5 coupon, it will result in a $4.99 coupon. ” I even showed them this AND showed them the ad from the paper that says look for coupons in your Sunday paper. The cashiers told me that the corporate office didn't know what they were talking about, they don't work in the stores. That there is no way to adjust a coupon. I ended up calling the corporate office after making 2 trips and being unsuccessful both times. The girl I talked to on the phone said she would have someone call me back….that was Tuesday…this is Saturday..still no word. I guess they don't care. CVS is so much easier.

    • Dhcoupons

I have a question about Walgreens….if I buy (3) $2.99 RR WYB Stayfree Maxi Pads, 14-26 pk., at $2.99 will I get (3) $2.99 RR's at the end of the transaction?

      • Misty

No, it's one RR printed per deal, per transaction, so you'll need to do multiple transactions.

      • Guest

Nope, you have to do separate transactions, and you can't use the RR from the other ones to cover the cost of the next one.

    • singlewoman26

I have some of the coupons on ebay if anyone needs them. I have the stouffers, stayfree and the hawaiian topic too. I have lots not listed so shoot me an email if you are looking for something not listed. My user name is singlewoman26. I have 100% positive feedback (I need close to being a top seller!). I ship in 24 hours monday-friday. Thanks to everyone on here that have used me before! I am located in Raleigh NC.

      • Thall561

I have a question? Where does everyone that sells on Ebay and the clipping sites get the myriad of coupons from?

        • LIsa

I figure they are paper recyclers or newspaper workers looking for more ways to make money.

          • guest

I buy from a woman who does a paper route and has extra inserts

            • isn't that illegal…

            • DeeDee

The newspaper person could lose their job if this was discovered. It is totally against company policy. I actually know of someone who did this and was fired.

        • singlewoman26

No I don't work for the recycling, trash or even the newspaper people. I am a work at home mom. I know some of the clipping services and they too don't work for these organizations. We work very very hard since we have hundreds of orders everyday and I love it! It provides a great salary for my family.

          • Keywestbiscuit

Where DO you get them? I had to stop buying papers out of boxes because the inserts are missing the majority of the time. Must assume someone gets there early and STEALS them from the other customers. Or maybe cuts a deal with the paper route distributors and the inserts never even made it to the consumers to begin with. I won't buy anymore from ebay.

        • guest

I've wondered that myself. I refuse to buy them off of ebay just because it makes me angry to see tearpad coupons on there. I just wonder if some of the sellers take entire tear pads to sell (oh yeah, they don't sell them, it is just handling costs). Just my thoughts.

    • Maryperez812

dous anyone no if you still get 4.00 RR if you buy 4 boxs of the 6 single packets of Tasters Choice coffee becuse ident get one 4/19/20011 wose this the mouth long

      • Firstbrownie

I think that catalina ended last Saturday (although it did go on for several weeks). Sorry!

    • is there anywhere to read about the most effective way of printing coupons? I just started couponing and already have run out of printer ink, used a ton of paper, etc. Thinking of that plus the gas it takes to go to the drugstores that I wouldnt normally go to almost makes the savings seem pointless, especially since the drugstore prices are overpriced to begin with. I'm also still trying to figure out if it financially makes sense to buy something for $10 at the drug store that I could get for $4 somewhere else….even if you get register rewards for it, those rewards are just going to go towards something else thats overpriced at the drugstore. For example, the hair color I normally use, I find at the grocery store for around $4 even without coupons. These “deals” are for hair color that costs 8.50 each and you have to buy 2 to get the rewards = $17.00…but I get $10 in register rewards but thats still $7.00 out of pocket. Yes I can use register rewards from a previous transaction to cover that cost but that transaction was probably something else that was expensive. So I had to buy something overpriced in order to get rewards to cover this overpriced transaction. If you get register rewards and the item was free I wouldn't mind that but I'm talking about items like the example I gave. I'm just trying to figure out if the printer ink, computer paper, gas it takes to go to the drugstores, and using rewards from something expensive to go towards something else expensive makes more sense vs. just going to one grocery store or walmart once every 2 weeks or so and saving on gas, clipping coupons, cost for printing, and time/headache. If someone could please explain this to me I would appreciate it.

      • p.s. I'm not sure how it came off, I'm not complaining just discouraged and would love for an expert to explain to me since I might not be thinking of it in the correct way. I have no problem printing coupons and going to the store if it makes the item free, I just dont really see the logic in saying that if you pay 7 dollars for something thats overpriced, and you get 7 dollars reward back (that you can only use at that store), that its “free”, when everything is overpriced! I do think the 32 oz honey is a great deal though..that is the price I see for the small bottles at my grocery store so I can barely ever afford it

        • Rudydoescakes

You definitely need to take one of Jenny's classes. You just don't understand the process yet. Choose one grocery store and one drug store. Just stick to that in the beginning until you have it mastered. Then, branch out.

        • mamabelbel

CVS is closer to my house and I usually just focus there except if a great deal catches my eye somewhere else. One thing that might help you is to see if another store that you like to shop at accepts RRs. There is a Harris Teeter beside my closest Walgreens and I like to shop the deals there. I just swing into Walgreens on my way to HT to pick up items that I see that are free or close to it that I know I will absolutely use and then immediately use my RRs at Harris Teeter on the groceries I was going to buy anyway. That way I got my free Walgreens item and I don't have to ever return to buy more of their items unless I see another deal I will really use that is free or nearly free. If you have to pay a lot out of pocket or if it is something I won't use or I have a lot of, I just don't go and waste my time or gas. When I use the RRs right away at the gorcery store I can't roll them into other Walgreens deals, but there is also no pressure to go back before they run out and I still benefit from them on things I really need and would have paid cash for anyway. Focusing on too many places and driving everywhere stresses me out and wastes money. You can still benefit if you just make the trip for the things you really actually need when they are at their best price.

          • thanks, the grocery store right by my house accepts NO competitor coupons – it would be great if I could use rewards there. I'm sure I could start going to one of the grocery stores a few miles away since I think they accept them. CVS and Rite Aid are close to me, but Walgreens is like 7+ miles away and off an incredibly busy street..so doing the math it would be half a gallon of gas just to go there once – so basically 2 dollars gas $ just got taken off the savings. I guess I will avoid Walgreens unless something incredible comes up or I'll be in the area for something else :) thanks

        • Frogmor

Check your grocery stores to see if they accept competitor coupons. Sometimes that includes the RR. Also remember since you get the $7 RR in that transaction make a second transaction and get the honey and a gallon of milk or something like that. Use the $7 RR then you have gotten hair color, honey, and milk for $7. Use the RR on other sale items that you will benefit from.

        • Tyfondren28

Once you start doing it, it will begin to make sense. Couponing doesn't instantly start saving money, it take a little bit of time (not too much though). If you pay that $7 for the hair color and get back $7 ECB, then only use that ECB on other deals that give you ECB or on sale items that are actually competitively priced – that original $7 will go a long way. Drugstores are overpriced, but they also have some really great sales on a few items almost every week. Its those few sales that you are working. There is a lot of common sense in effective couponing. You are right on track by realizing that just because something is on sale & you have a coupon doesn't always mean it is a great price. HTH

      • Atwilkerson

I agree with Rudy. Just work on one drug store at a time. It can be overwhelming. And it isn't saving you $ if you are driving all over town. I only shop at CVS since its on my way home from work and at Walgreens because its right by my church.

      • Frogmor

Hi Sara! When I first got started I was thinking the same thing you are! I felt like I was shopping everyday to get all the “deals”. My sanity and my gas tank were about on empty. I soon found that I had to pick and choose. I chose one drugstore and two grocery stores. I only get the drugstore deals that are worth my effort. There are so many times where toothbrushes, toothpaste, body wash, deodorant, feminine products, etc end up being free. I stock up on those items only and when I have a good supply I don't go back for a while, even if that means I miss a few deals. I don't feel the need to be an extreme couponer nor do I have the storage space. When I see my supply getting low I start to look at the ads again. As far as the ink, here's what I did. Keep your eye on Staples or Office Max if they have them near you. They run deals on laser copiers periodically. I bought one two years ago this July. It only cost me $49 after the mail in rebate. It only prints black and white. The toner cartridge is like $100.However it came with a full one and I have yet to replace it and it has been nearly two years we also use the copier regularly with homeschooling.Oh, and as far as the paper cost, again keep your eye on the ads at the office supply stores. I got four reams of paper a while back for nearly nothing! I don't check those ads all the time, just when I am getting low on something. Don't give up! Make it work for you.

        • yes, I just moved to a 1 bedroom apartment (I'm not married, just in grad school trying to cut costs) and just finished cleaning out crap and purchasing storage bins because things can look cluttered really fast in small areas – so I know that at this point it wouldnt make sense to “stock pile” because I dont have the room and it's only me so I don't need TOO many products. thanks for the good advice

      • Cluckie

Sarah, You are trying to do too much. I suggest you start with CVS because it is not as complicated as WALGREENS. I did CVS for a year before I ever started WAGS. I don't print a lot of coupons, I mostly clip from the Sunday flyers in the newspaper. We have a coupon swap @ work (Put a shoe box in a convenient place, and let people drop in the ones that they don't use, and take what they need.) Only print the ones that you know will be used (once you see the ads). I never spend money out of pocket, except for tax. I use ECB's, and get more ECB's. Often I make money! It took about 6 months to build up a supply of everything . That's when rolling over the ECB's becomes easy. I haven't paid for shampoo, toothpaste, soap, etc. since!

      • june

I get my paper at Staples. Sometimes there are coupons for the paper they sell. I've been buying 2 reams at a time when they are on sale for $1 or free after easy rebates. (file them online) I get my ink from 123inkjets online. My printer takes 4 carts. that are $4.99 each at this site. I've heard all sorts of good and bad about buying generic carts., but at the 2/3 savings, I don't notice enough of a difference to stop me from buying them. (I go thru 3 or 4 black and 2 of each color a year) I could only print in black and white, but then the color would dry up and I would be wasting money.

      • Nana007

I think the best way to get your coupons is in the newspapers. Why print Man. Coup when you can get them in the Sunday paper for a fraction of the cost? I don't print coupons unless they are not in the paper and this holds down the cost of ink. As for the price of the items in the drugstore, if I'm not making $, need the product, and/or getting RR or ECB, I don't buy the product. You always have to weigh the price of what you're buying from the drugstores with the price of other stores. That's the joy of couponing:)

    • Rebekah1g

I am a drugstore newbie and I am going to use this week as my first week. I have been couponing for a year but am too afraid to try the drugstores. I have a question about this little scenario she did for us newbies. Is is best to purchase one of all the products or can i purchase like 4 of each in order to get more RR? Also, why do I need a .10 cent filler item?

      • Amie

Read the guide at the top of this page. You will only get one RR per item during a transaction. For example, if you purchase 2 Stayfree together, you'll only get 1 RR. You need to have filler items because at Wags you need an item for each coupon and RRs are coupons. The guide has everything you need to know. Good luck.

      • Hi — I would suggest clicking the links at the top which explain “tips” for each drugstore. Under “walgreen links” on this page. I could be wrong about this, but I think for register rewards you have to purchase multiples of the same item on different transactions because only one reward for that item comes out. For the next question, register rewards are considered a coupon, and you can't have more coupons than the number of items in your cart. So, coupon for toothpaste and coupon for splenda but then she used the register reward so that is an extra coupon that has to be paired with an item – therefore she found the cheapest thing she could

    • Dssosbee

Can't locate the $2 off Schick Hydro 3 refill, SS 4/17, -$2 off Schick Hydro 5 refill, SS 4/17
or the 75/1 Schick Hydro shave gel, SS 4/17. Not in the Columbia area SS. Facebook says the $3 off Schick Hydro 3 or 5 razor (Facebook) printable is not available. Is this Q regional?

      • Jsbl214

I am in SC also and didn't recieve them either :( I ended up ordering mine from a clipping service

    • free?

help! i have a coupon for gillette body wash B1g1 and if i use this does it mean ill get 2body wash for free?

      • SweetGirl

I think yes, because you get first item, pay for this and for second item pays manuf. company (gives money back to Walgreens), but you can have third also for 50% because it separate deal from Walgreens. So you pay for first, get second free and if you want pay 50% and get third. Get second for 50% it is just option, reward from Walgreens.

      • guest

no you will pay for the first one and the second will be free. Using a BIGI on a BIGI 50% sale isn't the the same as using it on a BIGI sale. Find the cheapest place and use the BIGI there.

    • christy

      hello gilette b1g1 50%off
I have a coupon for b1g1free can i use that plus $1.00 off coupon
can you show me example of how that will work thanks

    • Adele

I have a question about the B1G1 50% off Gilette razors deal. If Wags is offering a BOG1 50% off and then I have a B1G1 coupon, how much does that mean I pay oop? How does that work – I have always been confused with how B1G1s work. TIA!
This is the deal Jenny mentions:
Gillette Disposable Razors, 3-12 pk., B1G1 50% off
-B1G1 Gillette Mach3 disposable razor, Sensor3, CustomPlus3, Good News or Custom Plus, max $7.13, RP 4/10

      • Chris

I was wondering about this, too, and would appreciate help from one of the Walgreens veterans out there. I have two of the B1G1 Gillette Razor coupons. :)

      • Hollakj

Maybe this will help. I did the Head and Shoulders B1G1 50% off. Had a buy shampoo get conditioner free coupon. Shampoo was $5.49, conditioner $5.99. had an additional $2 coupon for shampoo. 2.75 taken off for shampoo, then 2.00 taken off shampoo for coupon and 5.49 taken off off conditioner for the free coupon. Since conditioner was more i had to pay the .50 on it and .75 for shampoo. I'll take a 1.25 for both. the coupons seem to trick the register especially when you add a $ off coupon. 2items with 2 coupons

      • Tyfondren28

when a store is running B1G1 50% off, they will usually take off the lesser value (the one marked down to 50% off) for a BOGO coupon.

      • llindsey4000

Hi, I recently shopped at Walgreens this week to stock up on the Gilette items. I used the B1G1 free coupon and stacked it with the $2 off coupons I had. The cashier made the value of the B1G1 coupon $7.13 since that is the max it will take off. So I bought 2 Gilette razors, used the B1G1 from Walgreens to take off $5.00, then used my B1G1 free coupon to take off $7.19, then used 2 of my $2 off coupons. So I paid 3.79 for two Mach 3 packs. Did same thing with the buy deodrant get body wash deal. I stocked up with multiple coupons. Great deal.

    • Ag Black

can i shop new walgreens ad at 6pm on saturday like i can at cvs?

      • Jnn_horan

No….and even if you can the RR are programmed to print on Sundays.

        • Ag Black

          thank you!

          • BoxerMom

you might be able to shop the basic sale items but like Jnn_horan said you won't get the register rewards

    • Uncgal32

Have ya'll seen the Crayola 2 for $3? It was in my ad and I have been to 3 different Walgreens and none have it.

      • Kccoupon1

get a rain check, no need to keep driving around looking for them when u can ask for a rain check and there are no RR on them so u will get them at that price as soon as they are back in. hope that helps u out.

        • BoxerMom

You can ask for a rain check but since its not a basic item (an item we always sell from a specific department) then they probably won't get them in again. Those came special order on as a side panel displayer. The warehouse most likely wouldn't have had loose product to send to the stores.

      • Jsbl214

mine were hangning on a rack on the side of an end cap located near the pain reliever aisle ;)

    • Butterfingers here I come… lol
I printed some $1/2q. some say Available at Publix but it's a Manf. q can I still use it at Wags

      • Blumingrose32

from my experience with these coupons that says redeem at such and such, stores that DO NOT take comp. qs will NOT take them, they consider them store qs,which i think s stupid,it plainly says manu. on it, but i dont make the rules :(

        • It doesn't say Redeem at Publix just Available at publix.. That why I'm confused about this one

    • Margoren

Splenda coupon $3 off says one per purchase, does that mean one per transaction? That is what I was told at walgreens in Oakland, Md. Anyone know? Thanks!

      • Tiff715

no, one items per coupon, most coupons I have notice say that. It was the same on a reach coupon I used at CVS today, and I used 10 in one transaction

    • Angie8220

just to let you know there is a Catalina for the splenda when you by 2 or 3 check out the coupon network http://www.couponnetwork.com/ for more details

    • Nan

Does anybody know if Walgreen's or any other store will give out rainchecks on the Nivea Bodywash today since all stores seemed to be sold out? I have 9 coupons that I wanted to use and I hate to see them go to waste!

      • Angie8220

I got rain-checks for all the sold out stuff it was not problem

        • SweetGirl

Lucky you!!! I got only for Always pads!!! I asked for Airwick 50% off, they said they do not give rain-cheks for that fresheners!!! But best part, whe I was in store, they did not have Scott naturals anymore, so they sold me Viva (6.99$) like Scott and I had 2 1.5$ off coupons and they did let me use 2 store coupons. I paid 5$ for 2 Viva towels, saved 7*2 -5=9$!!!

      • If you have a target close by you can use them there… Select Nivea have a regular price of $3.04 so you will pay just 4 cents per bottle : )

    • Wilto

Here is my savings from the ad from 4/17 to 4/23
      Hope you guys like it!
      Paid $2.28 for $15.95 – a saving of 85%!

    • Rheyne

When it says SS and has a previous date, does it mean that I'm not able to get the coupon because it was from a previous date?

      Example below..

-$1.50 off Luster White 7 Power White or Sensitive, SS 4/03
      -$3 off Splenda sweetener, 80 ct + or 3.8 oz +, SS 4/17

No – it just means you need to go to SmartSource from April 3rd or SmartSource from April 17th to get the coupon because that is the insert it was in :)

        HTH!!! :)

        • Rheyne

how do I get to april 3rd ss?

          • Diane

You need to start saving your Sunday newspaper inserts. I believe you can buy specific coupons on ebay or from 'coupon clippers'.

      • Jnn_horan

SS 4/03 means that's the date the insert came out. Some couponers file whole inserts by date to avoid having to cut all the coupons, and just cut what they need.

    • Birgit Gilbert

on the colgate deal that is b1g1 Jenny has posted use two coupons, can you do that?

      • Brenda

Yes, the computer recognizes two items being sold, therefore two coupons can be used. I do it all the time.

        • Birgit Gilbert

Thank you I know Jenny knows what she is talking about it just seemed odd. Is Walgreens the only place where you can do that or does it work at Rite-Aid also?

          • DebTN

I used 2 at Riteaid last week on some vitamins they had that were b1g1.

    • Brenda

I just happened into a Wal-mart in neighboring town this week, had Nivea body wash marked down to $3.00. I got 8 free body washes. I was so excited.

    • Rheyne

how can i get coupons from smart source for an earlier date? I'm looking for 4/3 specifically

      • i would suggest looking on ebay

      • Carolyn

you can also buy coupons from thecouponclippers.com They have a minimum order of $3 but you can buy quanitiies of the same coupon….some of a limit of 10 …it all depends. They charge 50c handling but usually put in an extra coupon of something you ordered to cover the 50c. I’ve ordered from them a few times and it always comes quickly in the mail.

      • Carolyn

You can also buy coupons from thecouponclippers.com

      • Birgit Gilbert

coupons by Dede or coupon beat are reliable and trusted site and you don't have to order a lot like e-bay.

    • Angie8220

Head up there is a catalina for post pebbles when you buy 4 http://www.couponnetwork.com/#

    • wow my walgreens is so weird. yesterday was my first attempt at couponing and after hours of getting prepared, i drive there just for them to have absolutely nothing on my list :( how discouraging after all that time, effort, and printing!! i figured i waited too long in the week so i went to a 24 hour walgreens right after midnight tonight (lol) and I wanted to get the stay free pads but they were only on sale..no register rewards..another waste. then when I went to the front with just 2 items i was getting, he asked if i had a rewards card..wtf, i thought walgreens had no card? the item i wanted said in the ad you had to use coupon + your card…so i guess some walgreens have cards? even yesterday when i went to the other one i asked if there was something to fill out for a card and she said walgreens doesnt use cards. now i'm so confused and wondering if all the effort is even worth it since i only got 2 items from 2 trips sigh lol

      • Kenzbug

I know it's frustrating. I went through the same as you when starting out. On Sunday's I would go earlier and earlier to get things before someone comes along and takes it all. I was leaving home when it was dark outside and the crickets were still chirping. lol. I finally asked both of my drug stores what day their trucks come in. Luckily they both come on the same day, Thursday, so I just wait until then to go. I live out in a rural area and town is 18 miles away so it just wasn't feasible to me to spend all that gas money to come back empty handed. I even wait until then to go to Kroger, since they always have plenty in stock of the sale items. About the cards, I heard they are testing them in some areas. The cashier at the Walgreens I shop at said they were starting them out in VA I think. I wish they would implement that at every store, maybe it will limit the shelf clearers, or make them work harder for it, such as having to have 20 or so cards to do it.

        • well that would make sense, i live in virginia!! haha. the guy just scanned the card that was at the front so i didnt have to fill anything out but then looking at my receipt later it said -$1, -$1, and -$4 for coupons…I only handed 2 coupons and it looked like one of the dollar ones said it was a walgreens one and it said RR…do register rewards show up as (-) something on the receipt? doing the math it only took off the one $1 and $4 from the price, he didnt give me a reward but then i didnt know if it was because it was the stores card…so yea, confusing!

      • Did you ask for a “RainCheck”, I never have a problem. Item comes in next week

        • the items had register rewards which I read wouldnt transfer in the rain check

      • my 1 trip to H/T for super double at Harris Teeter was much like yours…some one on this sight told me to go the 3rd day after the sale started or ask when they restock the shelves/truck comes in/ I have also spent time wasted…Cruz around the store and than get your order together:) Stay focused and you will do great also the stuff you get free and don't use I suggest to give to your church or food pantry..

    • Tmb0214

@ Sarah so everything is on sale now. I was considering going. Since I kept missing out on stuff since shelfs were clear. Ill go now and get the splenda.

      • the prices change every sunday (shows on each drugstore's ad). if you have a 24 hour store you can go right at midnight saturday night/sunday morning..the later you wait once sunday starts it will probably be harder to find items. if they dont have register rewards attached, you can ask for a raincheck for the price of the item I bet. I tried going to Rite Aid Saturday evening and they were still honoring that week's ad prices, but had already changed price tags for the next week so it was VERY confusing knowing which item I was supposed to get and the price since everything had already changed over, so yea I won't be doing that again

    • Dianna

On VIVA facebook page there is a game where you can win a coupon. I got a $2 coupon for a multipack, which will make it $3.99 this week!

    • Bh

ad has folgers 2.79 11.3 oz on sale again

    • Exsquid22

Please help. I could swear I read a few days ago that if you bought 4 Splenda's you would get either a $4 RR or $4 ECB, but nowhere am I seeing people speak of this. Was I just dreaming or is this true?

      • Blumingrose32

bi lo has it buy 2 get $3.00 back

      • Exsquid22

I found it. Walgreens is offering an unadvertised deal 4RR when u buy 3 splenda products, 3RR when you buy 3 I found this on another blog, and there have been several posts from people who have already done this. Let's hope it isn't regional :) Worth a shot…It's free with coupons anyway :)

        • Exsquid22

          3RR when u buy 2, and 4RR when u buy 3. :)

          • Nita Royal

I just discovered it by accident – was happy enough to get 3 boxes free, but the $4 RR was a pleasant surprise!

    • I had a bit of an argument today with an assistant manager at Walgreens. He told me he could not accept my 2 coupons for $3 off the 2.99 splenda since the coupon was more than the product. After a few exchanges of words I pulled out a copy of the store policy and read this part in particular

      Sale Items

      * Walgreens will accept manufacturer coupons for an item that is on sale.
      * In the event that any item's selling price is less than the value of the coupon, Walgreens will only accept the coupon in exchange for the selling price of the item. Coupon redemption can never exceed the selling price of an item and no cash back is ever provided in exchange for any coupons.

In other words, they can except the coupon, but only apply $2.99 for each coupon – you don't get the extra penny. He then entered my coupons for me but instead of apologizing to me he proceded to try to make me feel like I was some sort of criminal for having good coupons.

I have already sent a complaint into the the walgreen's website about this assistant manager. If possible – always bring a copy of store policy with you. I would not have gotten to use my coupons today if I didn't just happen to have a copy with me. (he sure wasn't expecting that I'm sure)

Oh… and I received $3.00 Off Splenda coupon with my receipt : )

      • Nita Royal

Keep pushing….I've had this battle with one of my Walgreen's stores for almost a year. Finally, I started shopping across town. But I just stopped by the “bad” store for the first time in a couple of months, and there's a new manager. Had no problem on this trip, using my Splenda Q's.

      • stacie

hey the same exact thing happened to me an hour ago,i came back with the policy, they then told me that ,im right but that the computer is not programmed to take it,.so i just got one more item to bring it up and payed 29cent for 3 butter finger snacks, but the pan was 2 for free. noone punched the coupon in in my case i took theyre word for it.but your story is almost exactly like mine

      • Friday night was my 1st trip to w/g with coupons and register-rewards stacked. I encountered a nice lady the walked me through the entire process.. It was about 7:30PM AND THEY WERE NOT BUSY AT ALL…she KNEW HOW Q/RR's WORKED I MEAN DOWN TO A SCIENCE…I wish I had a way of showing you how she pulled it together..I had a total purchase price( “I did 5 separate transactions”) adding up the RR for use on the next to last purchase. So the Dove deal was next to nothing!!! of $80. and paid around $20.00. It was in Franklin Tn. I am so happy with my 1st RR trip:) P.S I was there about 1-1/2 hrs and they were out of some items I wanted as well.. Over all a great 1st trip:)

      • Just to give everyone an update. Walgreen's management called my home today to apologize (i sent in an online complaint). They informed me that they will be holding meetings today and throughout the week to make sure everyone knows their coupon policy.

        • Lana

And that is the reason that i love walgreens. if you complain something gets done about it. i just wonder how big of an ass chewing the manager got from corporate

    • kelly

I just came back from walgreens….I hate this store……
I bought 2 splenda 2.99 each and I had 2 $3 coupons for splenda……the manager told me that I can't use both coupons becoz it says one per purchase….. are there any other $ 3 off coupons available?
      I have $ 3 off coupons from last sunday's paper…it says don't double and expiring on 2nd may……

      • Next time bring a copy of Walgreen's coupon policy that is what I did today… read my post below

        • kelly

          Hi Thanks Laurie
I tried that too…but they told me the coupon says one coupon per purchase so I can use only one coupon in one transaction…..I will try to use my coupons at different walgreens…..did u use $ 3 off from SS 4/17

          • Yes – I used ( 2 ) $3

      • Tts829

The same thing happened to me today. I bought 2 splendas, had 2 $3 coupons, and the cashier told me I could only use one coupon because it said “1 coupon per purchase.” I tried to explained that per purchase meant per item purchased, but he said that it meant per transaction. I don't understand what difference it would make if I bought 2 items and used 2 coupons in one transaction versus using 1 coupon in two different back-to-back transactions.

        • kelly

I just came back from another walgreens……walgreens coupon policy varies by store….
          I used 2 $3 off coupons on 2 splenda (100 packets)….I got $3 RR…..
          Thanks Laurie and Tts829……

      • Gonemudding

If the manager can read it means one coupon per item purchased. I would go back and say something. You can't use one coupon for 2 items, you had a coupon for each item purchased. I can't stand when people have no common sense.

    • briana

if you purchase something B1G1 50% off and you have a coupon B1G1 free from your paper will they honor that with the item that you already paid for? Or will they only give you the free one and not the 50% item as well.

      • Gonemudding

I am thinking the same thing… Usually if you have a B1G1 Free coupon and say its on sale for B1G1 Free they are both free. So if its B1G1 Free and on sale for B1G1 50% Off I would think the one item would be the 50% off it would take place of how 2 B1G1 Free coupons work. I am looking at the Gillette and Old Spice deal. Now if you also have a coupon for say $1.00 off one of the items have them scan that first then your B1G1 Free Coupon. So now even the 50% off item is less $1.00.

    • Bbj

I had to educate the manager on the corporate coupon policy at the store in Anna IL. The manager tried to tell me I could only use one coupon on a BOGO sale item because I could not use a coupon on an item I am not paying for. I ended up not making a purchase went to the car got my policy out and returned to have an education section with the manager. The manager admitted that my policy was much more current than the one he had printed in his office. Then tried to change what he said and say the only only reason I could not use the two coupons was because the coupon value using two is more then the purchase price of the item. I did not argue or point out the fact the policy says they should adjust the coupon price to the value of the item. I went to the car and called corporate. I am waiting for a call back from the Store Manager. We will see how that goes.

      • Hl_mckenney

I had the same thing happen to me in San Antonio. Manager wouldn't honor my $1 off with my BOGO. They need to be EDUCATED!

      • ireneY

What an ordeal! If you plan on returning in the future, it's worth the time. Please let us know what happens next!

    • Jessdare101

I hate couponing at Walgreen's but thinking about attempting it this week. If I do the splenda deal with the $3 coupons will the coupons have to be adjusted down if I buy other items in the same transaction for the overage to be applied too? My walgreen's never seem to know about adjusting stuff down so I was just hoping that if I bought more stuff it would work without a fight.

      • Nita Royal

Normally, my store has to adjust the coupons down, but mine didn't beep this time…..strangely, they went through for $3

      • laura

Mine also went through and didn't have to be adjusted down but I did purchase a few other items

    • luv2shop

I actually bought something in Wags for the first time and was quite pleased. I got the Splenda deal and some razors on clearance. I didn't know I had a moneymaker Q that I got from a tearpad months ago for B2G1 Nestle's bars. Since they were on sale for .39 (and it was Easter and I could give them to the neighborhood kids and the egg hunt) I thought it was a good time to use them. Turns out the Q scanned for a buck, so the overage paid for all of the candy PLUS most of the razors! Happy Easter!

    • dey2008

I just had an experience where a sales clerk said that if I used a rapid rewards (from a different offer) she didn't think that the rapid rewards for the item I was trying to buy would print. I wasn't 100% sure so I didn't bother using the RR from the other deal. I had a coupon too and she also said she wasnt sure if that would work — I knew it would though and used it, and it was fine. Any idea if the RR policy has changed, or was she just not informed? I have a RR that will expire this week, and not a whole lot in the sales flyer that I want to get this week. Thanks!

      • Jnn_horan

Its “register reward” and no, she's misguided and the policy has not changed.

    • couponlvr10

For the Splenda, I had 4 $3 off coupons, bought 4 boxes of splenda. I split it up into two transactions so we could get $3 RR back on each transaction. Worked out nicely, all we paid was tax :-)

      • momof4boys

Did you buy the packets or the granules? I tried to use the qs for the 100 ct/3/5oz packets. The q stated 80ct/3.8oz and wags wouldn't let me use them.

    • frugalmama

The Clorox and Tilex deals at Walgreens are even better than I expected! They're on sale in the ad for 2/$5. There's a coupon in the April Wags coupon booklet for $2 off of 2 which makes them 2/$3. And if like Clorox on FB, you can get a $1 off coupon! You have to vote for some contest, but after you cast your vote you can print your $1 off coupon. That makes the Clorox $.50!

      • Chacha911

Hi. New to this. Are the Wags coupon booklets a monthly thing? When are they available (begininning or end of month)? Thanks!

    • Couponing Rocks!

Here was my trip today…actually had a great trip at Wags & everything went according to plan (shocking, I know!)

      2 Splendas 2.99 each = 5.98
      2 Folgers coffee 2.79 each = 5.58
      3 Nexcare bandaids 2.99 each = 8.97
      Stay free pads 2.99
      Total before coupons = 23.52
      2 – 3.00 Splenda coupons (adjusted down to 2.99)
      2 – 2.00 Folgers coupons (printed a while ago)
      1 – 1.00 off Stay Free pads
5.00 in RR from previous visit

Total OOP including tax = 7.48

Received 6 RR & bandaid rebate for 8.97
Basically after RR earned & MIR they paid me .48 to buy all this stuff.

I also found out that there is three different types of the Nexcare bandaids that have the rebate & you can get a rebate on each of the three kinds. So if you need a filler grab the three different bandaids!

      • Couponing Rocks!

woops total was 9.48 not 7.48…still got paid for the trip!

    • Jessica

I remember Jenny saying something previously about Walmart taking Walgreens RR. Is that still true? I was confused by their policy and how the RR was written. Walmart accepts catalina manufacturer coupons, but also has listed that it is for a specific product. The Walgreens RR is a manufacturer coupon, but says redeemable at Walgreens and it isn't a specific product.
What has been your experience with using them at Walmart?

      • Slgumm

After releasing a new coupon policy stating that they accept RR's, walmart quickly released another one changing that policy. They do not accept RR's because they are not $ off of a particular item, they are for an entire purchase.

      • Mcleodsc

Walmart will not take RR's BUT they do take the catalinas from WAGS that have manufacturer coupon at the top.

    • Guest

Just to check, what order do we hand the coupons if we have store and mq's? It seems I have to ask this everytime. They get me so frustrated whenever I go in there.

    • YEAH!!!! Got 11 ButterFingers And 6 boxes of Splenda for a total of $.29 luv it!!!

    • I am really frustrated with couponing. I am just getting started and so far none (Not one!) coupon that was supposed to be in my SS4/17 was actually there! We use a lot of splenda and that would be awesome. Is there somewhere else I can get that coupon? email me if I can.

      • Bev B

You can buy extra coupons on ebay, or through a coupon-clipping service like thecouponclippers(dot)com (there are lots out there, this is just one of them). I prefer e-bay b/c there's no minimum cost, as with some coupon clipping services.

        • Galveston 2000

dedecoupons and things is another goode service -located in hill country of texas

        • Abbyandjaxmom

I purchased 20 coupons for Splenda this weekend on Ebay for the $3.00 off and recieved today!!!! I will give some to family….I dont do this often, but such a good deal. If my Walgreens is out I will head over to Walmart for a price match and use to Q's. I love Ebay and so far its been a budget saver for me. I also use coupondede, but for really great Q's they have run out, so Ebay is a great option. Hope it helps!!!

      • Kristen

One thing to keep in mind, be sure to get a major city newspaper, they will have the most coupons. I live an hour from Chicago, so I get the Sunday Chicago Tribune delivered. The difference in the number and value of coupons in the Tribune vs my local paper is astounding!

    • Eli

I just had a great trip to Walgreens I thought I would share!
      3 boxes – splenda granulated
      3 boxes – Post Fruity/Cocoa Pebbles Cereal
      1 pack – Stayfree pads
Used: 2 – $3/1 Splenda and $2/1 Splenda (this prevents the beeping and you still only paying $0.99 for all 3)
Used: $1.50/1 stayfree catalina coupon printed at Winn Dixie
Used: $2.00/3 Fruity pebbles catalina (printed when I did the small size cereal deal last month
Used: $5.00 RR from last week

Spent: $1.64 OOP and got back $9.00 in RR

Got a bonus $2.00 RR from post for the cereal that I didn't know about!

    • Michele1733

i was wondering if walgreen had a limit on manufactured coupons you can use i have 11 of the $3 dollar off splenda i want to use all at the same time to help save on gas since i am about 45 minutes from the nearest town thank you for all your help Michele

      • Kristen

Policy on the website states, “When purchasing multiple items, Walgreens accepts multiple identical coupons for multiple qualifying items as long as there is sufficient stock to satisfy other customers, unless a limit is specified. Management reserves the right to limit the quantity of items purchased.” …lol, I just printed the coupon policy and read it over :)

I'd call ahead and speak to the manager.

      • Soniaaguirre4

I had 15 coupons and you get $4 rr for buying 3, so I did 5 separate transactions and my cashier let me and adjusted coupon price and got my (5) $4 rr's and I didnt purchase anything else, you dont have to by a filler becuz of tax… and fyi if you buy 2 splendas you get a $3 rr back just in case theres not enough at ur walgreens or odd number…

        • Soniaaguirre4

i did the separate transactions to make sure I got the rr's the cashier recommended as well… don't know if you have to do it this way though

        • momto3boys

I received a $4 for the first TWO of my Splenda, a $3 for the second TWO, and a $4 for the third TWO. I don't think theyhad to be in groups of 3.

    • momof4boys

Just went to wags with my splenda qs and transaction scenario suggested by SS website. My splenda q wasnt accepted because the q says 3.8oz. The box for the 100 pk is 3.5 oz.

      • Susanne

The 3.8 oz is for the box that is not individual packets (meaning like a box of sugar), the individual packets have to be 80 count or larger. Call Walgreens Corporate and even the Manufacturer if you have to because that is not right.

        • guest

All of you are wrong. If the q says 3.8 oz and you buy 3.5 oz then Walgreens is right not to take it.

          • Kristen

IF you are right (which I don't think you are), then the only products this coupon is valid on is the Splenda with Fiber packets- 80 count or the Splenda Packet-700 count. These are the only 2 products on Splenda's website that meet the EXACT criteria on the coupon. I think Suzanne is right. Plus, I have yet to see Jenny post an incorrect match-up.

            • Heather

The coupon reads: “Save $3 on any one 80ct/3.8oz or larger SPLENDA Sweetener Product.” So, for a 100ct box there shouldn't be a problem.

            • guest

If it's only 3.5oz there is a problem thats why the register is beeping.

            • The register is beeping because the coupon is for more than the price of the splenda.

          • The count is for individual packs in a box. The OZ is for the bulk bag.

          • Susanne

The coupon says save $3 on any one 80 ct/3.8 oz or larger SPLENDA Sweetener Product and shows the picture of the 3.8 oz bag and the box of the packets. This means save $3 on either 80 ct or 3.8 oz or larger. Perhaps you did not see the actual coupon she is talking about.

      • momof4boys

Or could it be the cashier didn't adjust the q to the lower sales price. In other words, the q was for $3 off. The sale price was $2.99. If the q was more than the purchase price, would that make the q not work??? Any ideas anyone???

        • Kristen

I think the cashier didn't read it carefully. The coupon should work, the cashier needs to adjust the coupon value. In wag's coupon policy, it states: “The coupon amount must be reduced if it exceeds the value of the item after other discounts or coupons are applied (for example, a $5.00 coupon for a $4.99 item will result in a $4.99 coupon value).” This is from the wags website.

          • Kimberly

I wish I would have known that! I went to Walgreens yesterday morning to pick up two boxes of the Splenda. The cashier wouldn't accept the coupon; so, I politely asked to speak to the manager. The manager put in the adjusted price, but told me that the only way the register would accept the coupon is if I purchase something else because the Splenda does not have tax. I bought some gum; but, I wonder if that was even necessary.

            • Tjpumkin

Um…the gum shouldn't have had sales tax either

      • Nyrdrms

My Splenda transaction almost went awry as well. You will most likely need to buy the granulated Splenda in the box that is 3.8oz. That's what I had to do and they will need to adjust the amount of the coupon to $2.99. I got five boxes for $0 and $4 RR back. Both the clerk and store manager were very helpful. Gainesville, FL (Millhopper) Hope this is helpful!

    • I'm new to this and am looking for some help to get the best bang for my visit. I have 3 $1 off coupons for the stayfree maxi's, 2 of the $1 off stouffers easy express, $.75 off smuckers, and $1 off cheez-its. I know I have to break it down into multiple transactions, but I don't know where to get started. Please help! TIA

    • Jtdjagos

Help, I have mastered grocery store couponing, but this is so much more confusing. I tried it the other day and I was told if you use a RR to pay for the same item that will print a register reward, it won't print. If this is true, can I use a RR for a different item to pay for my purchase? How do you keep it all straight.???? Please help as i want to get stuff for free that the local food bank can gice to people, like shanpoo, razors, sanitary napkins-things you can't buy if you do not have $ for food. We donate food every week, but want to expand. Thanks

      • Kristen

Check out Jenny's “Walgreens Getting Started Guide”.

Walgreens is the most confusing when it comes to couponing. Start small, and progress slowly. Jenny offer's great buying scenarios.

To answer your question about RR using the above ad, if you use the $4 Luster RR to buy another Luster toothpaste, you will not get another RR at the end of the transaction. You can use the Luster RR to purchase something else with a RR attached to it, like the Stayfree pads and get the Stayfree RR in the end. Clear as mud? (wildforwags dot com is another good site with accurate wags scenerios)

      • Jtdjagos

thanks, they let me RR to but a book of stamps-that surprised me!! I will take baby steps with this.

    • Faye

Can I use 2 $3 off coupons on the Schick BOGO free deal?

      • Kristen

Yes, you can use 2 coupons. Wags policy, “When items are featured in a Buy One, Get One Free promotion, up to two coupons can be used against the items being purchased, as long as the net price does not go below zero for the items being purchased.”

    • Larbars

Just had a great trip to Walgreens in VH, AL. They were all out of the $7.99 B1G1 Softsoap Refill 56oz., and so they gave me their Walgreens brand refill at $5.99 B1G1. I was so surprised! I didn't know they did that! Then I got the Gillette men's bodywash at B1G50%, with my B1G1 coupon and only paid $2.25 for both! I've had mostly upsetting experiences couponing, but today I was reminded why it's worth it.

    • Kathryn21

In addition to the $5 off coupon in the Wags sales paper and the $4 off coupon from the insert, my store has a blinkie coupon for $2 off! The last time they had the $5 off coupon, I went and used all these for a total savings of $11!!! Wish I had paid better attention because I used my $7 off coupon at Rite-Aid last week and had the $2 off coupon that they wouldn't use because they told me they only accept 1 manf. coupon! :-(

      • Kathryn21

Ok…so the above post is my kudos to Wags. Now, I'd like to give them a :p for not letting me get my Splenda free! The first coupon was fine and the 2nd one beeped. So the cashier looked at the price and said “oh, this won't work because the coupon is for more than the price and that would be like getting it for free.” I controlled myself but I really wanted to tell her that was the point! So I said I would just take one and then we could do the other with another transaction. Well that wouldn't work for her either because she said I couldn't get it for free. Then the easter candy I wanted was also causing a problem so I told her not to worry about that either and left empyt handed!! I'm going to try again tomorrow at the same store, armed with the coupon policy!

        • momto3boys

Some Walgreens must be nicer than others. With my military discount the splenda was like 2.54 and the cashier still took the entire 3.00 off of each of my six boxes……..and I got 3 RR…..two for $4 and one for $3.

          • Tingar

Military discount? How do you get that??? :-)

    • Kkeve

My sweet husband went to Walgreens today with coupons in hand to take Advantage of the Hawaiian Tropics deal. He picked up three bottles (with trial bottles attached) and there was even an extra $2 coupon attached (we already had 2 printed from the Internet). He went to check out, and the lady at the register said he could not get the spray sunscreen, only the lotion. The manager was called to verify that the ad did not specify, so that knocked the price of the spray down to 8.99, which was price in ad. The cashier finished ringing him up, and the RR did not print. Manager was called again and he told my husband that using a manu coupon is like getting RR, so it voids the RR. WHATEVER!?!!? Has anyone else had this happen at Walgreens?

      • Jtdjagos

Is that true?? Before I get too invloved with Walgreens, I want to know when I get there I will save $$$

      • Jtdjagos

I just found what another reader told me to look at-Jenny's instructions about how to shop Walgreens. I found this: Some Walgreens stores have reprogrammed their Catalina machine (the machine that prints out Register Rewards). If you buy an item and are told that using a coupon made your RR not print, you are probably in one of those stores. There is nothing in Walgreens advertisements that state you can’t use coupons. If your RR does not print, don’t bother with the store management (they can fix it but don’t like to), just leave and call 1-888-8COUPON and talk to the Catalina company and they will mail you the RR that she have received.

        • Boxer Mom

I find it hard to believe that a walgreens can reprogram their Catalina machines. We have no control over the machines Catalina does, If the register reward didn't print then the manager needs to be brought in and there is usually some reason why it didn't print. But I haven't heard anything about us being able to reprogram the machines (considering I've been with the company almost 10 years) I'd really like to see proof that some store have reprogrammed their machines

        • tygirl13

This totally true. I found this out the hard way. Stopped by a different walgreens in a nearby town while I was on the road for work. I was supposed to get a $10RR and none printed. They said that it because I used a coupon. I did the EXACT same transaction at my usual Walgreens and got the RR no problem. I was able to get my RR directly from Catalina….and I don't go to that Walgreens anymore.

          • tygirl13

            Sorry for the awful grammer! I have a Master's degree…i promise…lol

    • Coupongal18

Just got back from my trip to WAGS…..did pretty well…..the Hawaiian Tropic was on sale for 8.99 instead of 5.99 like on Jenny's site so I ended up spending a little more….

      Here is what I bought:
      (2) Hawaiian Tropic lotions
      (2) Splenda – sold out of individual packets so I got the 3.8 oz. boxes
      (2) Head and Shoulders Shampoos
      (2) Pennzoil Oils (my husband had to have oil for his truck and I didn't want to make another stop!)

      Total before everything: $50.01
      OOP: $28.54
Got back: $9 RR for next week!!!!

Again, I was $11 higher than I should have been because of the car oil but didn't want to go to another store……..

    • cassia2

Had some pleasant surprises at Walgreens today:

Bought 2 Splenda (the 3.8 box that's also on sale for 2.99), used 2 $3/1 coupons (and bought some other things so there wasn't an issue there) and got a $3 RR from Splenda.

Nexcare bandage rebate allows up to 3 per household, provided you buy one of each of the three different types that are on sale. You can send the rebate in with all three and they don't have to be on the same receipt. Very useful!

    • Leticiag30

When buying from ebay. Ebay has a lot of sellers. How do you pick yours?

      • singlewoman26

Well type in the search “coupons” then click advanced and scroll down to sellers put a check in the box and type singlewoman26 where it says specific seller. Hope this helps!

    • momto3boys

A great day at Walgreens yesterday. Although they were out of a few things that I wanted, everyone was extremely nice. I earned a $4, $4, and $3 Wag for buying my six FREE boxes of splenda. I was also informed yesterday that my local Walgreens gives 15% off of the entire purchase BEFORE coupons……….

    • Dale

I live In Baton Rouge LA and I had the most difficult time at WAGS this weekend. I have been using coupons & RR for a few months. This weekend I was told I could not use the coupon out of the April coupon book for the $1/2 bags MM with the $2/2 Mars product from my RP, and also they told me the same thing about the Scott Paper Towels. The manager came and told me the same thing that the cashier said that I could not use both coupons, that the coupons in the Walgreens April coupon booklet could not be combined with anything else. I argued with them but got me nowhere. Did something change in the last week or so that I am not aware of?

      • darbe

I had the same problem with a manager at wags in central fl about the glade candles, i was told that the coupons in the book are manufactors coupons therefor can not be combined with other man coupons! So frustrating!

    • Bethie

Okay, did I do something wrong? I had the $4.00 off coupon for the luster white toothpaste … It's on sale for $4.99 I used the coupon, it cost me 99 cents + tax to get my $4.00 RR. How come it's not shown in the deals above? That's an awesome profit! I hope it was legal? lol

      • Kristen

It is a GREAT deal, and it IS in the deals above (4th on the list and in transaction #2). Crazy that this is legal, isn't it? lol

    • I have a general question.
After going to 4 WAG looking for Splenda after some jerkoff shelf cleared the other 3 of it (Every manager told me some lady ha been there that morning and bought everyone they had right after opening for the day), I got 4 boxes and I had 4 coupons. The coupons were $3 off, and the Splenda was $2.99. I was only able to use 3 coupons, even though I had a filler item. I ended up paying for the 4th box without a coupon. Why could I not use 4 coupons for 4 boxes when I had an .80 OOP cost?

      ETA: Found the answer.

      • Nevermind, found the answer.

      • Kristen

I wouldn't doubt if there was actually no shelf clearer. The walgreens in my area like to pull the hot deals off the shelf until the deal is over :-/ For example, there were NO Nescafe instant coffee packets in a 15 mile radius during the deal. Now, every wags I have been in i stocked. What are the chances they ALL kept getting cleaned out. AND, not one store has the Splenda, Always pads that are 2/$6 with a $4RR or the Stayfree pads that are free this week. I saw a shelf full of Stayfree Saturday night, when I went in the next morning, the shelf was empty! I can guarantee the shelves will be full the day after the deal is over.
(BTW, print and carry the wags coupon policy to avoid this in the future)

      • Christiluvstosave

I was told that the total price of the product had to be greater than the total price of the coupons before tax. I bought 5 boxes for $4.11. They used 4 3 dollar off coupons. I paid for the last box plus tax for the entire purchase. The good news was I got a $4.00 register reward which means my total investment will only be .$0.11 after I redeem my register rewards

    • Couponing Rocks!

Had a really good unexpected trip to Wags today. I was going to run by Wags @ lunch by where I was working (not my usual Wags) to pick up my final two Splenda's with my coupons. When I got there they had plenty of Splenda & a ton of clearance stuff. They had a whole bin of toys on clearance for 1.99 and they were nice, big toys. I had 15.00 in RR from buying Splenda earlier & the Stayfree deal, but was worried about getting them used up because of the stupid items have to equal coupon number rule. Here's what I did & what I got.

      Transaction 1 – 2 Splenda's & used 2 – 3.00 coupons adjusted down to 2.99. Paid .46 for tax & got a 3.00 RR (This gave me a total of 18.00 RR)

      Transaction 2
1 Disney Cars activity desk with crayons, markers, & coloring paper 1.99 clearance
1 Disney Toy Story activity with stickers, stamps, crayons, paint, etc. 1.99 clearance
1 – 5 pack of Diecast Monster Mash trucks 1.99 clearance
6 travel gift set that included Colgate toothpaste, Dove hairspray, deodorant, shave cream, etc… (had men & women's) with a total of 6 or 7 items in a nice plastic holder on clearance from 7.99 to 2.19 each (going to use them as stocking stuffers)

Total with tax before RR – 20.88
      Used 18 RR
      Paid 2.88 OOP

What's so awesome is all but 3.00 of the RR were free MM from buying the Splenda!

    • Marie

Quick question…I read the getting started guide, but didn't find the answer:

On B1G1 free items at Wags, does each item ring up at 50% off or does the first one ring up full price while the second rings up free??

      • Monica

The first one will ring up full price and the second one free. The B1G1 don't work like the grocery store where they each ring up 50% off.

    • Bethie

Thanks Kristen! I just like seeing the words, “Profit” in your list, then I'm there! I LOVE this website!

    • Tina

OMG, I just had the worst experience at WAGS. The cashier would not let me use any coupons on the Splenda that's on sale for $2.99 and I only had two boxes, two BOXES. She was very rude saying she refuse to take the coupons even after I told her about their store policy. I guess I have to take a written copy from their website if I decide to ever visit them again. This is crazy.. They need to really train these cashiers. I usually don't complain but I am sick of it and will contact Wags Corporate Office this time. I only have problems at Wags.

      • DebTN

Good luck with that. If your experience is like mine, you'll get a call from the store manager and pretty much nothing will change. Walgreens corporate needs to train their corporate employees first.

      • Snpy966

I had the same problem at the walgreens oin bwk – they let me use 2 coupons on 3 boxes – as they said the extra penny from each coupon went to third box and wouldn't allow the third coupon – i had her void off the third box to pay for it separately and they said it wasn;t allowed as the coupon was more than the price –

        • gagirl515

Which walgreens were you at in Bwk? It's funny… I can do a deal perfectly with no issues at the walgreens at the causeway but when I try it at Altama it's a huge hassle. I've learned which cashiers (and managers) to avoid.

    • Gabriela

Could anybody explain me why we need a filler item on transaction 2?
I don't shop at walgreens often and I'm a little confused!
      Thank you!

      • Bamasaver

Walgreens requires that you purchase at least as many items as the number of manufacturer coupons you're using. RRs are counted as manufacturer coupons. In transaction #2, you have three manufacturer coupons so you must have at least three items so you need a “filler” as your third item. You may want to read through the “getting started” guide in the upper right…Jenny explains everything very well & that may help you gain a better understanding of how it works. Happy couponing!!

    • Babybuck2004

Went today to Walgreens to get some Easter candy that was 50% off. Was able to use the candy coupons out of the April coupoon book and got some really good deals. Dont forget that those coupons expire on the 30th. Go use them before all the clearanced candy is gone

    • i had similar experiences, it is so weird some walgreens i was able to get all the splendas with all my coupons and no problem, i did separate transactions to make sure i would get the rr, it is better to just get two at a time cuz you get $3 for two and $4 for 3 but if you have say six coupons, if you did 3 transactions it would mean $9 in rr's versus two transactions and only get $8 in rr's, anyways, their policy states that if a coupon goes over the price of item that they will do a price adjustment on coupon and some walgreens did this automatically and some refused and were quite rude about it! when it is corporate policy! and makes sense, they would make money on the coupon when they do this since they don't do cash back or use overage towards another item… some store managers claim they didnt even know how to do that even if they wanted to????? and yet at other wags the cashiers knew how to do it??? I dislike inconsistencies….but now I know which stores to go to and which ones to just avoid! im in the san antonio area….

    • Wilma

I assume you can combine an in-ad coupon with another coupon?

    • Jk_shipman

I know! I am tired of being harrased at Walgreens! i had one item(alway eye drops) and had a manufacturers coupon(4$ off) and their walgreens coupon(1$ off). the cashier was bascially yelling at me saying because i only had one item i could only use one coupon! i kept telling her i could use them both, it didnt matter how many items i had and she fought with me for five minutes! but i was not letting up, i told her to scan both and she finally did. when they were both taken off he only reply was “oh, its never done that before.” it would be wonderful if someone could foward all our complaints to their home office or something.

      • Jjrutt

I have always thought you had to have at least the same number of products or a filler item to use coupons, for instance in your senario you would need a small filler item because you had 2 coupons.

        • Vince5428

you can Always use 1 manufacturer coupon with with 1 store coupon per item.

      • Nita Royal

I'm surprised that it actually worked, since the normal requirement is to have no more coupons than items, hence the constant search for “fillers”. Any time my coupons outnumber my items, something beeps and won't take. Just one of my many gripes with WAGS!

        • Ericahbrinson

With Walgreens, their in ad coupons do not actually count as a coupon, so in that case you don't need a filler!

      • Gatorginger

technically your not suppose to have more items than coupons so I don't know how that worked, this is when you have to get a filler item

    • racecitymj

Is it true that you can use Walgreens RR at Walmart?? If so, how does this work?

    • The5heads

so i have looked through my ss 4/10 and 4/17 for hawaiin tropic and splenda coupons…did I just not get them? bummer…food lion also has a splenda deal…not free but a good deal

      • racecitymj

Yes, they just came Sun. before last.

      • The5heads

I looke through the adds several times thinking maybe they were a little hidden…didn't get them…dang I printed off the internet coupon….at least it's something…(Knoxville)

    • Coupondad

So I went to 4 different Walgreens today to try and get some of the Splenda deals since I have a few coupons. They were all out but I was able to get rain checks. I just have a few questions.
      1. Will I be able to use my coupons with the rain check when they are back in stock?
      2. Will the RR print when I use my rain checks
      3. What about Publix? Will they do a price match from Walgreens ad and then use the coupon?
Thanks to all who answer! I've been a coupon dad for a little over a year now!

      • kristenk

mine were out of splenda too… yes, you can use your coupons as long as they don't expire! #2 – i didn't think splenda had a RR… as far as publix you should call and ask them if they price match… my publix only matches other grocery stores, not drug stores. if they will price match, you can use the manufacturer coupon.

also, i saw today that kroger has the 100 ct packs for $4.69, and if you buy 2 you get $3 off your next shopping trip. so, if you bought 2 and had (2) $3/1 splenda coupons, your total would be $3.38, then you could go back for more, do the same scenario, use the $3 kroger coupon from your first transaction, and get 2 more for a total of 38 cents… if you really need the splenda!! good luck :)

        • Sandym25713

          i used 4 $3.00 coupons and a 4.00 RR printed out! yee-haw!!

          • SC couponer

me, too! Did that exactly and got a $4RR …nice surprise!

      • Nita Royal

There is a $4 catalina for buying 3 Splenda, though it is not advertised in the WAGS circular. According to the Catalina site, the offer is good through 5/14, so if your store gets stock in by then, you should still get the RR.

      • Gatorginger

you won't get the rr unless your able to purchase it this week even though you have a raincheck it won't give an rr after the sale is over

    • Getfit2526

Can you use more than one rr at a time.

    • gensmom

Hi, Im new to couponing and planning my first trip to Walgreens. If I do several seperate transactions for the Stayfree, will I get the 2.99 RR for each transaction? I also have the $1 coupon to use. I wanted to do this in 4 transactions and with the 12 RR, buy 3 Folgers (use 3-1$ Q) making them 1.79 ea, and B1G1 Schick Hydro Razor (have 2- 3$ Q) making them 1.25 ea, and B1G1 Schick Shave Gel (have 2- 1$ Q) making them .75 ea. Any and all help is greatly appreciated!!

      • new2q

you will get a RR on each transaction as long as you DON'T use the RR for the stayfree on the 2nd transaction. if you do; it won't print another RR for the stayfree.

    • new2q

had a disappointing shopping trip at my local wags yesterday. :( I had 2 splenda coupons ($3) & I picked up 2 boxes of the splenda that was on sale for $2.99 & only one was accepted. the system wouldn't accept the 2nd coupon. The cashier called the manager & I told her to adjust it down to $2.99 & it would take it & she told me sorry that it wouldn't accept the coupon & removed the splenda from my transaction & gave me my coupon back. I argued with her & told her that it accepted one coupon & I didn't understand why it wouldn't take the other one. she then went on to tell me that the coupon was more than the item on sale & i explained to her that is why she had to adjust it down & if it took one it should take the other coupon. I was so ticked about it I just told her to forget it & I took my stuff & left. It's not like I am greedy. I only get 2 items & leave some for others. I only use splenda & was not happy with the way she treated me. the cashier was patient & kind. I actually only get in her line b/c she is very helpful & usually overrides the machine but for some reason she couldn't yesterday. I guess b/c that manager is a you know what!!!! I may just stick to CVS. They area always nice & helpful.

      • Gatorginger

It helps to carry the store policy with you as it states in the policy that the coupon will be adjusted just like you tried to tell her so always carry the policy with you

      • Wolvesnbrick

They are not allowed to adjust the price up or down either way to modify for a coupon. Modifies are a loss prevention issue and can get the cashiers, managers, and stores in hot water with LP and corporate. What I don't understand from your post is why the system didn't just adjust the 2nd coupon down to 2.99-that is what it is supposed to do.

    • Jubug89

I have a question. Yesterday, I wen to Walgreen's to buy 2 of the Scott 6 pack of paper towels that are $5.00, use the $1/1 store coupon and $1/1 mfg coupon for both. I ran into a problem with the new cashier who didn't scan my coupon in correct order, so I had to talk to manager , because my manufacturer's coupons kept beeping. While looking at my receipt, the manager said “you already used a mfg coupon” and I told him no, that I used the coupon form the Walgreen's booklet, He said to me “well, those are manufacturer's coupons”. I told him no, those were Walgreen's coupons and the policy is they can accept one store and one mfg coupon on one item. He did allow me to get my refund, but as I was looking at my original receipt, the $1/1 store coupons, did show up as MFGC. Does anyone know why that maybe? I thought they usually show up as WAGC.

      • Tkburns

I was about to go do the same transaction when I saw your post. I looked at the coupon in the Walgreens booklet and they ALL state that they are manufacturer's coupons that are only good at Walgreens. Hmm…is this new, or have they always been man. coupons? I haven't really done as much couponing at Walgreens, but I also thought these were Walgreens coupons that could be stacked.

        • Slgumm

I have used that booklet several times to stack coupons, and have never had a problem. It's kind of frustrating when all the stores don't follow the same policy. Maybe its a matter of being trained correctly on the coupon policy. I would call corporate and get the real answer to the question. If it turns out that you are right (which I suspect you are) I would ask them to call or email that store to let them know.

          • Wolvesnbrick

It's not so much the policy. It is scanning them in a particular order. Youa re allowed to stack a book coupon, ad coupon, and manufacturer coupon (remember register rewards are manufacturer) but they have to be scanned in a particular order. Every time I try to pay attention and every time I forget. I will pay closer attention to what order and let you guys know.

    • kristenk

got splenda today… i wanted to get 4, and the manager would only let me get 3 :( i kind of had an attitude w/ her, saying there was no limit in the ad. She then said to call by Tuesday and she would put in a special order for any sale items, and they'd arrive Thurs and she'd set them aside for me. So, that was good… I wonder if CVS would do the same thing… I stopped looking at their ad altogether a few weeks ago b/c they NEVER have the sale items in stock (in my area, anyway)… it was a complete waste of time to plan my trip and go there every week… I hate doing rain checks!

      • Wolvesnbrick

The managers limit when stock is low-it is at manager discretion when no limit is advertised. If stock is low for whatever reason the manager has to use common sense to determine if they will have enough to get them through the rest of the sale.

    • Ella_sinder

If you print a $3 off KY product a week or so ago– see if your walgreens is clearencing some of them. I got a sampler set for .19! But BEWARE. My stayfree RR would not print up! The cashier, who was super helpful, couldnt figure out why till about the 4 time doing the tranaction. It was the KY coupon hindering the stayfree RR. Weird huh? But we just did it a a seperate transaction and then there was no prob!

    • Brooke Lupo

walgreens would not honor my candy coupon today. because it was a dollar off and the butterfinger snackerz were only .39! what in the world??

      • Gatorginger

They should have adjusted the price down, you need to carry the policy with you and have that part highlighted on it. I was able to do the deal with no problem

        • Wolvesnbrick

Again they cannot modify the price down to match the coupon. It is an LP issue, as I touched on below.

    • Momann22

Can I use a Walgreens coupon with a manufacturers coupon also?

    • sahmomof2boys

Rrrrrrr!!!! please someone explain to me what I am doing wrong…..

      Splenda $2.99 $3.00 Q $1.00RR
      Luster white $4.99 $1.50 Q $4.00RR
      Purex crystals $3.99 $2.00 Q
      (2) filler items

      I used (2) $3.00 RR to pay

Lady wouldn't let me use Q for splenda so i made her take it off all together (so no RR for that). Next after transaction was done I got NO RR for the luster white?! Why????
