Right now when you sign up for the $19.99 plan at Weekly Cinema you get a FREE movie ticket!

The $19.99 a month plan is for 4 tickets, so you get 5 tickets for $19.99. That makes it $4 a ticket, better than any of the daily deal site deals lately.

The catch, you are signing up for a monthly plan… BUT you can cancel anytime with no cancellation fee!  So if you do not want to continue this cancel it right away and enjoy your (5) $4 movies.

How does this work:
Weekly Cinema will give you a code to enter at Fandango or Movietickets.com.  Enter your code and pick any movie you want to see at over 16,000 theaters around the US!  (Go to the sites above to make sure a theater in your area is participating)

You do not have to get all the tickets at one time.  From the time that you enter your code you’ll have 45 days to redeem all movie tickets.

I haven’t been to the movies in 2+ years, how much does a full price ticket cost these days??

I purchased something like this awhile back from Weekly Cinema and have a hard time using these. I printed out the voucher with the redemption code. I then went to Fandango.com and went to purchase two tickets and put in the redemption code from the voucher and it said not a valid code?

Do I need to activate the code or something?

We have a Cinemark theater in Ladson, SC where adult matinee tickets are $3. At night tickets are $5 for adults. Kids (11 and younger) and senior tickets are $3 all the time. The only catch is that the theater is small so the blockbuster movies are sold out for days. You also have to arrive pretty early to get decent seats at new films. You can order tickets online at Cinemark.com, but there’s an additional $1 per ticket charge for the convenience. If our neighborhood Regal Cinema participates in the Weekly Cinema promotion, I’m going to switch in a heartbeat. With my Regal club card, you accumulate points whenever you buy tickets and concessions that earn you free tickets and movie snacks.

An adult full price ticket in Orlando is $10.50 at a “cheaper” theater. We signed up for this service and LOVE IT!

    • laura

I go to AMC during the week. Tickets are only $5, even at night!

    • rebecca

At our Grand, tickets are $9.50 at night, $8 during the day

    • Donnajo

thanks for this info. Looking forward to the new HP movie later this month so this is a great way to get tickets for the family at a great price! Just signed up and it was as easy as could be! Even have a little video to show how to redeem the promo codes at Fandango.

Depends on where you live. The nice thing about weekly cinema (so far that I've been able to tell) is the ticket is free up to $12.50. that covers just about everything, although I haven't tried 3d movies yet. Tickets here can run $10.50, if your unfortunate enough to be in new york city they push $12 I believe.

    • SusanStauffer

Do you enter the codes on the website, and then print your tickets at home? or do you pick them up at the box office? I've never done anything like this…but I have a daughter who's dying to see the new Harry Potter movie. :)

    • Mnccaleb

I was thinking about giving this as a Christmas gift – would I need to get the codes and then pick a theatre (to print out tickets??) or would I just give them the codes and then they would have to pick out the theatre. Once you pick out the theatre on fandango, how long do you have to use them?

      • Guest

I would do Groupon for a gift as you won't have to cancel :) They would pick the days of movies and such too.

        • Mnccaleb

How would I buy it from groupon since I don't see it advertised on their site? (I'm in Louisville.)

    • Erin

I just wanted to give a heads up on this deal. Weekly Cinema has recently changed their process on redeeming these codes. Last week, everything was done online and took only a matter of minutes to print the tickets. Starting today, unless you are a “member” on their site (pay $20 a month), you have to call into their customer service line to redeem these codes. This would be fine, however their customer service line is open from 10-5 PST Monday – Friday – essentially, you couldn't make a last minute decision on the weekend to print your tickets. Also, I called today to redeem the last of my codes and called 6 different times before I was finally able to be put on hold when I then had to wait over 30 minutes before I was able to get through to a representative. Now, the deal is great – great prices for the movies, but I'm not sure if it's worth the hassle. Just thought y'all should know the full details before purchasing!

      • Erin

Should clarify that this is if you purchased tickets through Groupon (or a similar site) that uses Weekly Cinema to redeem the code. I just don't think that this company that (based on most people's experiences) is scamming a bunch of customers should be getting great publicity right now. You never know what else they're going to come up with to block more customers from receiving what they paid for.

      • Snowski824

I am so annoyed with this company. I have probably called 20 times and a couple of times I get the waiting line but then it goes to voice mail. They cannot possibly be that busy! I will never buy this groupon deal again.

      • andrea

Same here. Wanted to take my girls to the movies this weekend but due to their new policy, I can't get my tickets. Very poor customer service if you ask me.

$10.50 at Green Hills in Nashville. As low as $7.00 for a student discount in Murfreesboro, TN.

      • Pearlw

Takin your family to the movies is very expensive especially if you get the treeats

    • Brooke

At our theater here in Arlington, Tx, tickets for adults are $5.50.

    • Mercedes

Do you have to know the day and time that you will attend? Or do you just need the location and movie? Considering this for my teenage son and his friends.

I enjoy saving money and working off my own Publix grocery list each week. I understand that this is a job for you Jenny but some of your club are really abusing the system. I have witnessed massive grabbing and clearing of the shelves. I cannot believe people need as many items as they are taking. This leaves empty shelves for other shoppers who are actually needing the product and using it themselves.

I am LOVING Weekly Cinema! In Birmingham, AL tickets are $9.75 at night (anything past 5p!!) and $7.50 during the day (but let's be honest, if you are a working woman, day-time movies aren't really feasible!). Have had no problems and am on my 3rd month!

    • Tracyjorg

Not sure what the problem is that some people are having, but i just used my tickets today and had no problem.I joined the club for $20 and received my 5 tickets, watched to tutorial and printed 2 tickets out this morning. My 5 year old and husband said Megamind was great!

    • Mshelld

I purchased this deal on Friday. I have not been able to login or get anyone on the customer service #, even after multiple tries and extremely long hold times. Does anyone have any suggestions. I am beginning to lose my patience with this.

    • Mom

I just read on Hip2Save that the company went under and they will be working to resolve refunds….
