Click on the paper near you to see what coupons were actually in the inserts around the Southeast. Check out the differences to really get an idea of what paper is the best to buy. There are variations every week.

As folks send me the lists I will update with links so check back if your paper is not up yet.

A few ways to use these lists:

  1. You see that you did not get a coupon that was released, you can go to online coupon sites and order it.
  2. Print the list for your inserts and keep it with your inserts to quickly know if you have that coupon.
  3. A way to decide what paper is the best paper in your area to buy.

Okay how do you order inserts and does anyone know about how much they cost? This is interesting because I have heard CO has really good Qs. Thanks for any help.
(ps..when I click the links, it brings me to a google page, i login and it says page is unavailable any help with this too?)

      • Robin

        Yeah, me too.

      • Brandi

You can order whole inserts from couponsthingsbydede.com. The price varies per insert (usually .30 to 1.00). You can order clipped ones from her or thecouponclippers.com or from taylortownpreview.com. HTH!!!

    • Michelle

the link takes me to google also

    • Kim

I’m in Ohio, the Columbus dispatch had all the high-dollar qs and was fabulous. So far I have found it to be the best paper for inserts, but you have to get them quick. Sell out fast and not all stores carry them.

The Mansfield News Journal inserts were terrible. Mostly filled with things to order – junk ads.

    • Crystal

I am trying to get to The State paper for Columbia, SC. It takes me to gmail. I don’t have an account. Can I get it another way?

    • Lyndsey

I’m having the same issue with it sending me to gmail.

    • kellye burns

anyone know how to get the ketchup coupon? Thanks, Kellye

      • Emily

I ordered 15 of them off of Ebay for $1.50 including shipping. Just look for ones that are Buy It Now so you don’t have to wait on an auction.

    • Melanie

Hmmm, I get the State in Columbia SC but my paper did not have an alli coupon…

      • Rebekah

which ones did you get? I wonder too..

    • Deb

I get the Greenville News (SC) and it didn’t have all of the coupons either.

    • Cher

I am in simpsonville, always get greenville news SC. can anyone tell me how to get papers with inserts from other cities or states?

    • Michelle

I get The State in Columbia and we did receive the SS General Mills coupons. The link above has every coupon in red like we didn’t get any of them. Just in case anyone was wondering.

    • Stacey

I get The State and used to get the Charlotte Observer (we miss you St. Andrews Newsstand) and was lucky enough to get the AJC while traveling this weekend. It definitely had all the high dollar q’s but what surprised me the most was that the Publix Green Advantage flyer was included and one of the SmartSource inserts had a 2 page Publix ad called “Final Days of Football Savings” with Publix q’s on deli meats, cheeses, etc. You Georgia girls who get the AJC every week are lucky ducks!

    • Jamie

Hey Jenny, crazy question but do you think the insert pages ever **disappear** before they hit the newspaper shelves? I bought 9 copies of the Chattanooga Times Free Press this last Sunday and the list says it should have had the $2.50 Electrasol coupon, but none of them did; and some of the 9 didn’t even have all the inserts in them that the other papers did.
If there is a **disappearing** problem going around, is there any way to avoid that?

      • Kimberly

The Times Free Press has the worst coupons – I always make a trip to Atlanta on Saturday or Sunday to pick up the AJC. I went by the Times Free Press and picked up the paper straight from them and there was not any Electrosol coupon in it. There were a ton of inserts, but most were filled with junk ads.

        • Jamie

Oh, thanks for the info. If you ever feel like picking up a few extra copies of the AJC when you go, I’d be happy to purchase them from you… my email is daughterofoil@yahoo.com.

        • Donna S

Kimberly, do you happen to have a friend named Tonya H.(I’m not sure how she spells it)? Just wondering…

        • Rhonda

I was very upset this Sun because of all the missing coupons in the Chatt paper. I get the North GA edition and was wondering if the basic downtown version was ANY better. Anyone know?????

          • Kimberly

It wasn’t any better! We had a lot of inserts, but most were filled with the ads! I called a friend in Atlanta and asked her to pick me up some of the AJC papers there. I’ll drive down this Saturday to pick them up and then pick up the Saturday edition of the AJC while I’m there. It’s worth the drive on weekends that I know when I the coupons are good.

To Staci who types up the lists for the Birmingham News….THANK YOU! This helps me so much! I really appreciate you taking the time to do these lists.

      • Molly

I got 3 birmingham (and all my friends got the birmingham paper too) and it only came with 2 smart source and 2 redplum? Am I missing something – I see that you have 3 smart source, but we al only got 2

        • Lisa

I got 2 birmingham news papers and both of them had the 5 inserts. One of my friends was missing one and called the B’ham news and they are mailing her the missing one….

    • tracy

i am new to this…….why the multiple colors…and where can i buy coupons?

    • junequilt

For those of you who are starving for good inserts, today I’ve ordered a package of what appear to be decent 1/3s from Dede. To lower the cost of each invidual insert, I ordered 10 of each of the non-GM SS and RP. I plan to keep 2 sets and will happily farm out the remaining eight for my cost (about $.80 per insert). You would need to pick them up in downtown Columbia or I could mail them to you.

If we are not going to be able to have access to a better class of newspaper in Columbia, this might be the way of the future. It takes a village . . .

    • Kelli H

I bought two Tennesseans & only received 1 insert per paper. Would this be because I live in an outside Nashville in a smaller community? Do they change the inserts by county? Why would I only get one insert when there was an opportunity for 5? Help!!!

      • June

Have you called the paper about it? I’d try that first. How responsive they would be, there’s no way to know in advance. Most newspapers these days are so hurting for customers, they might just be anxious to make you happy by sending you any inserts that were missing (if they still have them, that is).

Sunday papers usually have to be assembled by the newspaper deliverers. I can’t imagine doing that in the back of a pick-up truck in the pre-dawn hours, but can well envision the potential for error, LOL!

      • Abbie

I always buy the Tennessean, too. I live in Tullahoma, so my choices for coupons are the local, which usually has 1 SS and nothing else, the Chattanooga, which is mostly junk, and the Tennessean, which usually is pretty good, but hard to find. I was irritated this week, since I bought 4 papers and none of them had the GM insert. They all had the other 4, just not the GM. I always check through all the papers before I pay for them to make sure they have all the inserts. I think there are some “coupon snatchers” in my town. I get weird looks sometimes from cashiers, for flipping through all the papers, but I think it’s worth it.

    • Teresa

Ok looks like I’m late to the conversation. I am trying to find those inserts as well from Sundays paper and attempted to browse the website of couponsthingsbydede.com and can’t figure out where to go from there to order all the inserts from 1/3. Can anybody help?

    • Foxfunds

Teresa – I am late to the conversation too – but I just wanted to pass on my excitement after going to the mailbox this morning. I ordered 10 complete sets of insets for all 5 sets from this weekend – and WOW – what a difference in the coupons. I don’t think I will buy a truckload of papers from this area again. I had no newspapers to deal with, only stuffed envelopes of the most fabulous coupons I have gotten since I started couponing. So – to all of you Chattanooga Times couponers – order the big weekend coupons (like this one with high dollar Q’s) off of the internet and save yourself some heartache. This was the best weekend I have ever had, I sat at home with my coffee, a quiet trip to CVS and Walgreens for the things I had Q’s for – and waited on the mail. It was like Christmas all over again!!

      • Teresa

I’m jealous! What site did you use? You have me excited!

    • Tricie

I’m seeing on the coupons matches a Heinz ketchup in the 1/3 adds. Did I miss it or something, I don’t see it on the list nor get it. Did anyone get it? Just curious I’ve been waiting for some.
