This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Boudreaux’s Butt Paste. All opinions are 100% mine.

I know from all the e-mails that I receive that Southern Savers readers vary a great deal in age, position in life, and, yes, even gender.  I also know, however, that a great deal of you have young children and are trying to get on your feet as you take care of them and adjust to a new budget that pays for the new additions to your family.  This one is aimed at you guys.

By now you have realized that a great area for concern with your child is his/her rear end.  How much money do you think you will spend on diapers before they get out of them ?  And for all the time you work trying to keep your child’s lower quarters dry and rash-free, often times it feels like a losing battle.  Thus I present Boudreaux’s Butt Paste.

Boudreaux’s Butt Paste is, I believe, the best option for dealing with diaper rash.  When my twins were born this was given to us at the hospital.  It was all the NICU used and we quickly learned why.   There is just no comparison between Boudreaux’s  and other cheaper versions from scent to actual use.  We got a 16 oz jar for our nursery and then grabbed smaller tubes for on the go (they sell 1-4 oz. sizes with a flip top cap).

They also now have an all natural version and a spray protectant!  The spray is awesome, no messy fingers just point and shoot :)

Want to try it??

You can try out a sample of Boudreaux’s Butt Paste.  (It is a pretty nice sized sample that will last a while).

I’m going to guess around $600 a year for a single baby in diapers.

    • Amanda W.
    • Marijac

We will find out very soon how much a family spends per year on diapers, because we are expecting our first child in December. My guess would be around $850 for one child!

I have heard wonderful things about Boudreax’s products…I would love to have this for a whole year!

    • mary
    • michelle in jersey

The average family spends $7,000 on diapers ayear per child, luck me I have twins, Michelle in jersey

    • Jlpulley

Probably about $1500 per baby per year! SO much!

    • April

    • Emilyg

Per kid, I'd say about 600 dollars/yr on diapers. We, however, cloth diaper and have used 300 dollars total and that has lasted 2 years

    • paula

      $736. a year

    • Ashley-webber

      $500-600 per child per year.

    • Jennifer T

      Approx $3000 a year.

    • Mrsbrittanyblankenship

I think the average family spends about $780 a year on diapers. WOW! makes me wonder how we ever afforded the first two kids! Maybe we'll do cloth for #3 due March 8, 2011. :)

    • I'd guess $2K.

    • Staci Norris

      Average of $1800 a year

    • Ilovejaycob0122

I think the average family spends about $600 a year on diapers!

    • Abbie

I hope I win! We swear by Boudreax's at our house, and with 2 still in diapers, we go through it quickly! I would guess that the average family spends $700 a year on diapers, probably around $1000 if you're including wipes, diaper cream, etc.

    • I'm going to say about $780 per kid per year. Or if you need a total number I guess $1100. Not a whole lot of people are going to have 2 in diapers all year. However, we cloth too and save a TON of money. :)

    • BluStarMom

It is so funny that you have posted this, I was just coming on her to search to see if anyone had it on sale or if I could find a coupon. I have only ever seen coupons in one of the many magazines I get from signing up for anything free I could get my hands on after my daughter was born. This was the only cream would not make her scream when I put in on, all of the others seemed to burn. In fact we have to use a medicated cream once a day to keep her rash free and we use the Butt Paste for diaper changes during the day. She is now 16 months old and I would love for her to show the signs of being ready to potty train so maybe she wouldn't have so many break outs, but until then I will continue to use the Butt Paste and I am requesting my free sample today…..

      • BluStarMom

Oh, and my guess is $1130.00 per year for an avg. family…..

    • Ahjustice

      $520 per child per year

    • Carrollfamilyfour

      $800 a year per child

    • Bcburns910

I'm going to guess $1,800/year for one baby.

    • Laura

      Hmm…$1000 per child per year

    • Peggy

The amount of money spent on diapers in a year would depend entirely on whether or not the family is a Jenny and Southern Savers follower. I will not spend more than $4-$5 per package. Therefore, THIS family would spend about $234.63 on our year's supply.

    • Tnjcent

My guess is that the average family spends approximately $1,000.00 per year on diapers for each child

    • $2500 per year.

    • Kristin

      $1500 per child

    • Jamie

For us… We without couponing we would spend around $500 a year for one child! With coupons you can do less:)!

    • Rondaams

      Approx $1040 a year

    • NicoleW

$800 is my guess. I really have no idea. I'm planning on cloth diapering and I've spent $300 on everything we'll need till she is potty trained. Though I may occasionally splurge on another cute diaper or two.

    • fdawn

I love Boudreax's! It's the only thing that worked for my children.
I'm thinking families spend around 300 on diapers.

    • Tabitha

      $1200 per year.

    • Abi

I'd guess they spend close to $1800/year without coupons! ;)

    • my guess is $510

    • EmilyB

      around 650.00!

    • Ashley

I'm guessing around $1150 per year

    • April

Somewhere around $1000 per year per child, and since most families have small kids close together, probably between 2K and 3k for the household.

    • Stacey

I think a family spends around $1100 on diapers every year!

    • Couponburt

I am going to guess about $1100 per year.

    • ummmm, perhaps $3,500??? I would estimate that that is what I spent prior to learning about your website and learning FROM your website. Thanks be to God for blessing you with the talents needed to show us the way!

    • Amy K

I guess about $800 a year on diapers

    • Itchin2bstitchin

Ok, my guess for how much to spend on diapers a year is $895.44, that's if they are a frugal shopper mind you. So I think the non frugal shopper would probably spend closer to $1100 a year.

    • Bigal22796

      $700 at least! Thanks.

    • Carlene

I am going to say that I have spent an average of $1080 per year on diapers per child, not including the “pull-up's” stage. If I included pull-up's then I would say $1620. My first just stopped using pull-ups and now I have another infant so I could really use the Butt Paste for my baby.

    • Lmhixson

$375/yr with one child. We love Boudreax's!!

    • couponmom

      Awesome giveaway!

I think the average family of 4 spends $900 a year on diapers.

I think they could spend a lot less than that if they loved this website as much as I do!! :)

    • courtney reynolds

I think the average family spends around $1,700 on diapers a year

    • Sheri

I would have to say around $850/year for one child.

    • Jenmason84

      I twitted:

jennaod Win a year of diaper rash free bottoms from Boudreax’s @southernsavers http://bit.ly/bxVhbP #buttpaste

    • Pcrouch9

Well, I just have one in diapers. I always use coupons and come up with deals at Rite Aid to avoid paying any amount above $4-$5 a pack. Last week, I bought one pack of pampers, two pampers wipes and paid $5.25 after tax :). I repeated that deal several times and walked away with 4 packs of pampers, 8 wipes, and spent around $20 for all. So, if I were to not be coupon savvy, I would say about $25 a month for diapers that would be $300 a year.

    • Elizabeth

I would guess a family spends around $800-1,000 per year on diapers, per child. (That is, if they're buying them without shopping deals and using coupons.)

    • Kkaser

Expecting a granddaughter in November — so excited to welcome her to our family! I would guess a family will spend approx. $600/yr. on diapers.

    • Greenbug75

My guess is 1050.00 a year..I guess I'll be finding out for sure soon :)

    • Ashley B.

      I would say $300 – $500 a year.

    • Sibbie52

      I have figured 365 days…change 5 times a day…2005 diapers…20 diapers per box…about 100 boxes @ 9.00 a box….around $925 per child per year! unless they are a southern saver and then maybe half of that : )

    • Beaners256

I think it would be close to $3600 before coupons for a family with one baby. CLoser to $5000 with two babies.

    • Awpaschall

I think the average family spends about 2400 a year on diapers. BBP is great we have used it for years!

    • Sunny

I'm going to guess about $800 a year on diapers!

    • Heidi

I would love to win diaper rash cream and take one more thing off my shopping list! I think the average family spends about $650 a year on diapers.

    • KAWilson

    • Elizabeth

I would say around $1000 a year per child. We use cloth so our cost is a lot cheaper. We ALWAYS use butt paste though. We will have 2 in diapers soon so we would love a years supply of butt paste.

    • Lori

My guess: $750 per year – of course if they are not using coupons !!!

    • Cristy

I'd guess about $975 per year. (unless they use this site…..then it'd be MUCH less!!)

    • Tindall08

I think the average family spends about $1200 per year on diapers

    • Boxxofsoxx

I guess $500 a year for one child.

    • danielle

i think the avg family spends 1300 per year on diapers!

    • Aetanker

      Hmm….I would say around $700 a year!!

    • Jess

I would say we used to spend atleast $1000, but since couponing it's been probably half that or less!!

    • Marianne

I have a new 3 week old grandbaby girl so my guess on diapers is not from recent experience (I have purchased diapers in almost 25 years) but from already buying some using coupons and stacking when possible I estimate the cost will be less than $300 annually (I am trying to teaching the parents how to get the most with their money by shopping with coupons and requesting free samples). Baby came home from hospital with some rash and Boudreaux's is what we used and it has helped clear up her little bottom. Also it is easy to apply so we will continue to use the Butt Paste. And for adults in the recent very hot weather we have been experiencing it works great for heat rash!

    • Couponer

I'm going to guess $720. Cloth diaper buyers probably save a bit more.

    • Mlit

I think the average family spends $850 for diapers in a year.

    • Erika

Hi there, my guess is that the average family pays $1050 a year on diapers. Thanks to your website, I know when's the best time to buy— with coupons too of course!

    • Mary

I would say around $1200 per year on diapers per child.

    • Lominackkm

Before Southern Savers…$1,500 a year. After Southern Savers…$600 a year! ;) I NEED the Butt Paste. I have a 2 month old preemie and I SWEAR by this stuff. Fingers and toes crossed…….

    • Vigorpete

my best guess is $1,000/year per child….If they are a Southern Savers follower, then more along the lines of $400/year per child!

    • Sherri_seawell

I think the average family spends about $780

    • lin

I think the average cost of disposable diapers per child is $800 per year.

    • Sonya

750 is my guess, not that anybody here pays that much :)

    • Heather Chandler

Probably around $700 per child per year.
      Thank you.

    • Victoria

Love my Butt Paste! Well, my daughter loves the Butt Paste. It's all we have ever used since a friend gave to us as a shower gift.

As for my guess – $700/year.

    • $600-800 per year…depending on where you shop…and you can get it less than that for disposables if you're really good at stocking up when there's great couponing deals. :)

    • laura

      $500 a year.

    • Juli

Hmm…I'm going to guess that the average family with a child in diapers would spend about $715 a year in diapers.

    • PaulaB

Before Southern Savers, my average would have been $520 per year. Without coupons, I expect the average family to spend $640 per child.
Thanks to you, I won't spend more than $400 this year on them. ps- I love Bourdreax. I give it to all new moms!

      • PaulaB

that's for buying bulk. if you only buy the tiny packages without coupons, then $875 per child. Yikes!

    • Ranlsan333

      $2235 per year

    • Trace3975

My husband says if the shop at Sam's Club, Costco, or Bj's he's estimating approx $525 a year (w/ coupons), but if you buy them full price at a grocery store, he's estimating $875 a year.

    • Troykimgunther

I would say we spend on average around $900. I love Boudreax, it really is a good product. We use it all the time, since we get rashes alot.

    • Amy

For the first year, $1000 per child. After the first year, $850.

    • Steph B

      I am going to guess $850. :)

    • Kdfine

      i tweeted

      my guess is around $600.00

    • Kdfine

We use cloth diaper because disposables are so expensive! I think it's over $700 a year for disposables.

    • AmyK

      I tweeted about the giveaway…thanks (@AKauz)

    • Ugabecky

I also have twins, so for us, we're going to spend at least $2000 this year. Our daughters' 3-week NICU stay resulted in HORRIBLE diaper rash, so we continue to change their diapers a LOT.

    • Melanie

      $500 a year

    • Rob

      $980 is my guess.

    • Melissa

      $500 a year. I SURE hope I win this!!!!

    • Rielcoupons

I think I read somewhere that the average family spends $2000.00 on diapers for the first year.

    • Tarav11100

I have an almost 5 month old and I haven't had to buy a pack of diapers yet since I stocked up before she was born. If you use coupons and watch for sales and such I would say about $400. Love Boudreaux Butt Paste!

    • Gabriel's Mom

I would guess around $700 per year. We love Butt Paste here!

    • Rebekah M

$1,000 ? in the adoption process now for our first child!

    • Jpvedder

I love this product!! I would guess around $700 just for diapers after the first year. That doesn't include wipes and things. Probably more like 900 – 1000 during that first year.

    • Beverlyw

      I would guess about $750/year.

      $728 per year.

    • Kdskds77

I would guess around $1000 per child in one year – of course, I will find out for myself as soon as this baby is born! Due Aug 28!!

    • for the first year $1000 per child thats about $2500 per average house hold

    • Freedomspradley1

The average family with 2.5 kids (of course all 2.5 of them are in diapers) probably spends around $2500. That's before coupons ;-).

    • Peppermint Patty

On average between $800-$1000 a year per child. No coupons or sales… depending on where you buy too.

This is the greatest diaper paste! My son seems to have a sensitivity to alot of the other ones.

    • jderrick

Hmm, we coupon so we don't spend as much but the average family probably spends about $1200/yr on diapers.

    • Leigh

      About $1000.

    • Rondavue66

      $1040 per year

    • Kboscorpio

An average of $800/year on disposable diapers for one child

    • Meghan

I bet it costs about $3600. This comes from experience.

    • Atinel

I would say $1000……. Which is why I cloth diaper! Boudreaux's is the best! I have used it for all 4 kids!!!!!!!!!

    • grisy

1100 a year for one child

    • Ceecee1964

My estimate for the cost of diapers for a full year is $950.

    • christine

I would guess approx. $720 per year for the avg. My husband's from Louisiana…and when my sister-in-law gave me boudreax's to use with my first son, I thought it was a joke…but I quickly found out it wasn't a joke…the stuff really worked the best!

    • vicki

Can't exactly comment on diaper expenses these days!! You see, it's been TEN, yep 10 years since we've had a baby in the family. SURPRISE…SURPRISE…SURPRISE!!! I do know about BUTT PASTE though and it is great.

    • Christine Zigler

I think the average family spends about $650 on diapers every year. For all diaper related costs, I'd say maybe closer to $1000.

    • LeJa

$1 Bob!! Just kidding! My guess would be…. $800..

    • Amanda C

My estimate is $715.00 per year withOUT coupons. I usually get my diapers at least half off by using all my coupons so hopefully I only spend about $358.00. Boudreax's is BY FAR my favorite diaper rash cream…it's really the only thing that ever worked for my son and now I'm using it on my 6-wk. old daughter. Love it! This would be a fantastic win!!!

    • Lorilion

I would say about $2000 a year (if you don't use coupons!).

    • Heather S.

If the household has just one child in diapers, not using coupons, I would estimate anywhere from $800.00-$1,100.00 per year. And I am currently going through my first year with my first baby.

    • Jesssjunk

My guess is $550 per year for one child. That's about a pack per week. The other estimates seem high to me, but maybe I just don't change my boys diapers as often as other people do! :)

    • Bree

      I will guess $795! That's why I cloth diaper!

    • Pamscoupon

I'd guess depending on the brand and cloth(about 600 if you like the good ones) and 900 for cheap disposables and about 1475 for primium brand.Tweeted too

    • I would say about $700 to $900 a year for one kid. It is like getting a raise when your kids get potty trained, lol!.

    • ruthie

      about $1000!

    • Jenn

If only one kid is in diapers, I'll go with about $800.

    • Housedivided2

around $950 a year. But if you have Quads like my friends do, I would say $3800.

    • NoleFan

    • Starymyst

Im gonna say about 700 dollars per year.

    • Clara1

    • ChelseaSaund

Depending on when you start potty training I'd say around $2,000

    • Cortney1009

      I guess $1250.

    • Jennifer

    • Melissa

      $600 per year.

    • Jess

I think about $600 for someone that doesn't look for the sweet deals that we do!

I would say $950 for one child.

    • Sharon J.

      My guess is 950.00.

    • Jenney Kline

My guess is $1930 a year for one child. This is based on the fact that one box of diapers lasts a week for my son who is breastfed and they are $35 plus tax multiplied by 52 weeks.

    • $550 if you buy a jumbo pack a week without coupons.

      pets @ critterhill . com

    • Jen C

About $360 per year (diapers only, not wipes).

    • Hogan

Wow I was spending $500 a year on store brands for 1 child and I thought I was being frugile. Since learning about this website I am averaging about $150 per year for 1 child so far for name brands!!! Thanks so much for what you do Jenny!!!

    • griffins00

    • Jen C

      I Tweeted about it @JCrocker825

    • Angie McNeal

      about $572 a year!

    • Kendra_lue

I am going to have to go with 600 a year for a single child. That is one Jumbo pack a week plus a few for the emergancy times.

    • Ahogan

I am estimating about $2010 per year per child

    • Summertimeinsc

    • Jennphilpot

      I'd guess about $1000.

    • Wendy Lett

About $600 a year but if you are using coupons and checking for sales probably $200-$300!!!

    • lizi serrano

I think for the more expensive name brand around 1100 for the 1st year. Maybe around 900 for store brand. after that it should start to go down… the first year is always the most expensive! BUTT PASTE is the best stuff out there!

    • Jminutolo

      I would guess between $800 and $900 a year.

    • Gia

My guess is about $2,000 a year? Without coupons……. :)

    • Flitterfly28

      Around $750 a year. Boudreax's rocks!!!

    • Rebman

      $844 is my best guess.

    • Downs1418

I think the best way of putting this is a before and after. Before Southern Savers, we spent in the range of $1000 on diapers. However, after SouthernSavers, we have cut that by almost a third. I'd say around $800.

    • Corrie

I've read it can be as high as $1000 per child. Yikes! That only reinforces my decision to use cloth diapers with my little one on the way. :)

    • Megan D

I'm thinking $624 a year……that would be without coupons of course!

    • Carla Hardy

      $1,900 , diapers ain't cheap!

    • Force_melody

the average i'd say is around $500. This is for a one child in diapers family.

    • Christie

I think the average family spends about $1000 per year per child on diapers. The Southern Savers family probably spends about $300 per year per child or less!

    • Alexia

About $950.00 a year without coupons and sales. With coupons and sales, about $300.00

    • Lisalisa4040

    • Severance_clan

$1020 per year for a household of two children

    • Laura

About $800+ per year for one child. I love Boudreax's Butt Paste! When my son started getting diaper rash around 8 months old, this was the only thing that would clear it up overnight!

    • Dona

Well A Southern Saver family would only spend about $200, if that. An average family I would say about $800.

    • betsyz

I'd say I spend around $800 on diapers per year for my LO on regular diapers and night time diapers.

    • Tiffany

    • Linda

I believe that the average family would spend around $600 a year on diapers. I can't wait to see what the average really consists of!!

    • Alison

I am guessing 1000/year on diapers!

    • Beckyjrobertson

      average must be around 1000

    • Carmoniverson

I am so with you on the Butt Paste! It is all I will use! I was so excited about the $2 coupon that was in the paper a couple of months ago and I just used by last one this week! I can tell you exactly how much I have spent on diapers this year with Lily ( who just turned 1). I have spent $192 on diapers in a year through Southern Savers. If you don't use Southern Savers you will spend $528 in a year. Yay for Southern Savers!

    • Ebarber777

      Around $700.

    • JL

Average I would say around $800

    • Owen'sMom

I love Boudreaux's Butt Paste! I would guess avg. spent a year on diapers would be about $950?

Also, I'm new to this site and am so exited by the amount of $$ saved so far. Thanks Jenny!

    • Lana Strunk

      I'd say…$790

    • EricaY

      Around $800 a year.

    • Amy

$625. And, I LOVE Boudreaux's! It is all I used on my son and I currently have it on my baby registry for our new daughter!

    • elaine

average family spends $674 a year on diapers

    • Susubou

      i'd say $900

    • Pinkcarys

The average family who buys diapers at about .25 each would spend around $500 on diapers each year. Yikes!

      Around $550/year

    • Davisangie

      hmm…i'd say $500ish?

    • heather a

I'm guessing around $850/year for an average family…but it's hard for me to figure because we are buying diapers for THREE!

    • Hannahschierling

I'm going to guess about $1250

    • Pstrader

On an average with name brand diapers I would guess 478.00. If they did coupons, rebates, and store programs probably 150.00.

    • steph

$610 for average family but depends on how many you're buying for!

    • Alex Houston

I think the average US family spends around $1,110 on diapers for a year.

    • Megan

About $550/year right now. We also just found out that we are expecting again, which will give us 2 children in diapers! So as of next year, it will be $1,100!!!!!!

    • Mary Alice

I am going to guess somewhere between $1,000 and $1,800 a year.

    • Toshfamily

I'm guessing a pack a week per kid in diapers, so I guess $600!

    • Stacy DiNello

      $715 a year :)

    • Amsams51

      one thousand dollars

    • Almsw119

$550? Unless your baby has a special fanny (aka, allergic to everything) then even more!

    • Audri Cook

    • Charlotte

      I guess $1500.

    • Fancyangel

      I would say $601 :) on diapers a year.

    • AFlurry

I say about $1000 but could be less if you find good deals on here! :)

    • Jdtownson

    • Beth

      Not sure, maybe $600/year?

    • Joanna DeMarco

My guess as a 7 week old Mom is $1150.

    • Rocketgirl5678

    • branmuffin

      I would say around $1,400

    • Catherine

Average family per year on diapers, I would guess around $1,800 per year.

    • Noblinfamily

I am going to guess $975

    • Michellekjenkins

i would love this- i have a 5 week old and we use this constantly!

    • Beth

I am going to say $520.00

    • Matt

My wife is having our first baby in December. As the father, I'm taking an uneducated guess…$1237 a year

    • ss

      I'm guessing $600/year.

    • Tiffanyrose

    • Roj1005

    • Laurie

      458 a year

    • jamie

I LOVE this stuff!!! I've even used it on my really chapped lips. But it works wonders on kids bums too. i'd guess $500

    • Dawn

If you are a southern saver shopper you would probably average about $600.00 a year but if you don't coupon then the average person/family spends for 1 child about $1600.00 a year on just diapers. WOW when you break it down that way…… now i know where my money is….in the rear :)

    • Renee

I'm guessing $530 per kid in diapers

    • Christi Reaves

Well since I have twins I would say a parent of a singleton would sspend about 800.00 and us parents of multiples probably 1500.00!!!! ALOT

    • Anna

    • Jcloves

depends on how many babies! :) Guessing around $520.

    • Jami

      I would guess 900.

    • Janice

I believe around $960 a year per child, of course, without all of the great Southern Savers deals!!

    • Ashleycade

I'm going to guess $1040.00 for name brand diapers & $650.00 for Walmart brand…

    • Dana Wilkinson

I am going to say 856.00. I would love to win this I haven't had a baby in my house in 6yrs. I have to start all over fresh!

      • Dana, my kids are 9 years apart….we know all about starting all over! :) The Boudreaux's Butt Cream is normally around $4.50 at Walmart for the 4oz tubes. I bought some $2 Coupons on Ebay for $1 and I stocked up on the Butt Cream for myself and for baby showers. Just an idea!

    • Morgan

I am going to guess $900.

    • Tfrost99

I put the number between $420. and $468. a year per child for non-couponing families.

    • I will assume that the average families aren't coupon freaks such as myself. I'll say that with regular diapers, overnight diapers and swim diapers, the average family spends $1000 a year on diapers.
Would love to win this! We love Butt Cream. It's all we use on my son. We also love the Baby Kisses for chapped lips!

    • Mellat

I am going to guess around $400 per year per child. That is not including wipes!!!

    • Deanna H.

My husband and I just discussed how much we will add to our grocery bill for diapers when our son is born in October- its our first. We calculated that if a baby is changed 6 times a day, he uses 2190 diapers a year. That's a LOT!

I would say that you spend about 1200 on diapers per year, unless you use coupons!

    • Andrew'sMom0904

I think that parents spend approximately $1100.00 per year on diapers if they don't coupon! After I found Southern Savers I haven't bought a pack of diapers for full price- (I also would only buy store brand. Now I buy name brand for cheaper than the store brand price =)

    • Connieb03

      About $500 a year!

    • Carissa

On diapers alone for 1 baby, I'd say somewhere around $1000. Average family paying full price.

    • Michelle

Before I started couponing, I bought Sam's brand boxes of diapers at around $32 each, about once a month. So, with tax, that was about $410/year. However, the average family probably spends even more than that. I'd say around $500/year, not including the wipes.

Boy, I wasted SO much money on diapers/wipes for my first three babies!!!

    • KB

I'm guessing around $1000 unless you use Southern Savers to help you find diaper deals!

      • Bonnie_barte

Too much, probably $1000 a year per child.

    • Christy

i guess $2000. I love boudrauex's butt paste and recommend it to all my families :)

    • Kkgallagher

I would guess about $750-800 buying the smaller packs of diapers without coupons.

    • Rebecca

I would guess you spend about $600 a year on diapers. Even more without coupons.

    • hjs mom

$1,250– more, of course, if there is more than one in diapers!

    • Shaunascoupons

My baby gets changed about 8 times a day. My guess is that people who dont use coupons probably buy them in big boxes at a time to get the bulk discount. Based on this I would guess $785 for a family with one baby

    • Martha

      I guess $800

    • my3sons

Love boudreaux's here too! I would guess around $750 on diapers per year – without coupons of course!

    • khutch

      Around $800. If you're lucky!

    • Katmarooka68

      I guess $1000

    • M Yarbrough

I would guess the average (non couponing) family would spend $1000 per year on diapers! Makes me sick to think that is probably what I spent on my first, this time around though I am much wiser.

    • I would say between 750 and 850, for singletons, of course!

    • Rhenson76

I would guess about $720 for one child. However, you could spend much less with coupons and other deals :)

    • Carrie

I think 500 a year for one child.

    • Meghan

My guess would be around $520 per year per child.

    • Jennifer

First of all, I think a year's supply of Butt Paste would be a tube — that stuff works so well, so quickly! But now that I say that, of course with two still in diapers, watch me eat those words! hahah!

I think most people probably don't coupon and try to combine coupons, sales, and work their magic the way SS readers do. So my guess is for an average family with one child in diapers, they spend about $668 a year on diapers.

    • Dianna

If the average family spends $50/month on diapers (no coupons) then it would be around $600 per year. I didn't spend that much, but enough to make me switch to cloth :-)

    • Snowski824

Well if cloth diapers can save you about $1500 over the life of your child and they cost about $300 for startup with BumGenius diapers then I will guess about $800-900 a year? Our first child is due in December and we're going to give cloth a try so that we can stay on budget.

    • R0xi712

      About $500/yr on diapers

    • Lydia

      diapers and wipes? $900 a year…..

    • Mindilong

I would guess around $40/month for diapers alone, which would make it $480 per year.

    • Coupons777

My estimate is $600-700 per year.

    • Missy

      $625 per year.

    • Kristy

I'd say the average family with one baby would spend about $450-$500 per year on disposables.

    • Emily

I would say the amount you spend on diapers depends on if you wait for deals to stock up! I would guess around $500.

    • Mandy

      $573.59, just a guess.

    • Melissa

I would guess $500. I try and keep my cost lower though:)

    • tsunamimommy

I don't have babies anymore–actually not for some time now. Even my grand and great grands are out of diapers. But, my first experience with Boudreaux's ButtPaste was as a nurse working geriatrics and medical rehab. It was/is the greatest at preventing skin breakdown in anyone who is unable to move about on their own. Also works great mixed with Prep H–relieves the pain and prevents further damage at the same time.

    • Clairehenderson80

My guess is around $750 a year!

    • Kimberly Woods

      I would guess $550.

    • Sandy565

My guess is $1150 a year.

    • Jbfitnessrn

      $876.50 a year on diapers

    • Chrissy1216

I would say at 10 bucks a pack, one pack a week on average, so for a year that would be $520. Maybe a little more for some, and definitely a lot less for us couponers!

    • Hfultz

my guess would be $530 year

    • Shelly Donahoe

My guess is $1,444 per year. All I know for sure is it is A LOT!!!

    • brparker

We love this stuff! We currently buy a big box of diapers a month…so I would guess $504.00

    • heather

      Maybe $1200…?

    • Tara

I think maybe around $725 a year. Would love to win! :)

    • littlemama

With coupons less than $500 a year:)

    • Bendebw

hmmm…20$/box every other week or so….plus, a lot of families have 2 kids in diapers/pullups……prob around 1200 a year!! (unless they are smart and use coupons:) I would LOVE free boudreaux's for my kids:) We, also, use it exclusively at the hospital I work at. :) It is great!!

    • E16gardner

The 'average” family must spend a lot each year, possibly $1000 on diapers. We Southern Savers end up spending much less as we know how to find a good deal :)

    • Bluebug

      My guess is around $950!

    • Molly

WOW…This is hard, but I would say $791.28 a year.

    • Samantha

Hmmm, lets see. Around $11 per week for one pack X 52 weeks in a year = around $572 a year in diapers for one child.

Side note, I love Boudreaux's Butt Paste. You can put it on your little one's rash at night and it will be gone in the morning. Love this stuff! Thanks for yet another awesome giveaway! One family will be so happy!

    • Stacey

I love the butt paste! Our pediatrician recommends it, too. I would guess about $1300 a year for diapers. I've got one in diapers and one in pullups at night…and if it weren't for Southern Savers I would be spending so much more than I am! Thanks!

    • clocla

$500 if you buy on sale and with coupons

    • Jennifer H.

I think around $750 is how much the average family spends per year on diapers.

    • Diannelee

For just 1 child, I would estimate you would buy around $1,000.00 worth of diapers a year which means we are going to need alot of buttpaste. Expecting my first grandchild. Need to stock up fast!

    • Janet W.

I would guess around $1,100 is what the average family spends on diapers per year.

    • Sarah

If buying diapers without coupons and deals I would say at least $1,000 a year, much more for newborns, less as they get older.

    • Melissals

As a couponer I spend about 300 a year with 1 in diapers, before I started couponing I would spend about 550 a year

    • Tabitha Myers

      1000.00 a year

    • ChristyMy

My guess is about $1065 (plus tax!) if you don't coupon and you get the biggest value sized box you can get. Thank goodness for couponing and this website that I'm not paying that much!!

    • Ed

      I'd say about $780.

    • Anne

My guess is $1200 b4 coupons etc. if using disposables.

    • Sara A

Our baby also came home from the NICU! I'm sure that had a lot of influence on why we splurge on this cream vs. the store brand. It's a good thing we save on other things, like diapers. If we didn't, I think we'd be spending about $800/year.

    • shanna

I have a 23 month old and I spend about $350 on diapers (not including wipes). I use target brand diapers and I love them. Usually when checking out I will get a coupon for $1.50 for my next visit.

    • Mcgee7

I guess around $900 a year on diapers.

    • Ashleyhillis

I would get around $1040 before coupons!

    • DebbyeS

I would guess that non-couponers spend approximately $600.00 per year on diapers.

    • Kara

    • mandy

      $480 per year (per child).

    • Crazy4coupons1975

      $900/YEAR before coupons

    • lainibug

I'm going to guess the average family with one child in diapers spends $560/year on diapers (not including wipes, creams, etc.)

    • Ashley Baggett

      I would say about $550 a year.

    • LittleGT

Before coupons, buying top name brand diapers, diapers only, no rebates, I'm guessing $900 a year. Also assuming a “normal” kid. Our baby had “tummy troubles” starting out and therefore had many more diaper changes.

    • Meggo214

I would guess $525/year. I love butt paste by the way!

    • Sandy

$555 sounds like a good number to me. And the paste is really great stuff. Thanks for the chance to win a “butt-load” of the stuff…Sorry, I couldn't resist.

    • Leighann

I would guess that an average family will spend around $500.00 per year on diapers.

    • Diana

My guess is $820 per child, especially the 1st year.

    • Michelle

I would guess around $800 (unless using coupons then around $300). I LOVE Boudreaux's butt paste. It's what I've used on both of my children. I'm getting ready to buy another tube as my son has gone through almost all of what I had.

    • Cathy

I have no clue. My kids are 11 & 25. Have plenty new cousins that need a little “Butt” pick me up.

    • Sush_tt

      i guess $800 before coupons……….

    • Lsberrier

About 1040 would be my guess BEFORE coupons!

    • Taffagarcia

    • mommydub

      $967.35 to be exact! :)

    • Csoble1214

without coupons around $480.00. My girl just turned a yr old. And Boudreaxs buttpaste would be great. Ive tried it and love it.

    • natalie

      $540 per year

    • Becky

My guess is about $825, but I know that isn't my spending level ;)

    • Cbhopkins

I love Boudreax's! And I figure it is about 600 a year per child.

    • Kelly

I agree whole-heartedly!!! I love it. I would really put it to good use if I won a year's supply of Butt Paste!

To all the moms out there: Just try it once, you will be hooked.

      • Kelly

OH, humm, I say about 600 per year on diapers

    • Let's see, averaging low, maybe 5-7 diapers a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year… with coupons and sales you could get diapers for around 10¢ a diaper, so around $200/year. For non-couponers, you'd probably pay around 30¢ a diaper, so maybe around $600 a year?

    • Melissa

      I guess around $550

    • Kimberleefaith

I would say on average it would be around $800/year. Thanks to SouthernSavers, I haven't come anywhere close to this number! Thank you Jenny!!!

    • Holdgate04

      I bet it's around $600 – before I used to use coupons

    • tiffanylynch09

My guess is $850 per year on diapers!

    • Mhaubrey

I admit that I love the butt paste too! It really worked on my middle child. I guess around $550/year on diapers…..wow, I have never really done the math before (I have 3 children), that is alot!

    • Diana

      $766 a year!

    • Aloe328

      I would say about $550 a year.

    • Jenny

I'm guessing about $600 per year on diapers …

    • Slswilliams

      $1300 a year

    • Jessica

Supposing the average family bought a pack a week for $8.50/pack, they would be spending about $450/year. Thanks to Jenny, CVS and coupons, we spend about half that per year on diapers!

      • K_berkley

My baby goes through at least 2 packs a week, and sometimes up to 3…

    • Rhoadesaa

      I'm guessing about $600.

    • Ktmac707

      Approx. $1500 before coupons

    • I'm guessing the average family has more than just 1 kid in diapers… so I'm going to guess $2000 a year, between diapers & pull-ups.

Also, I refuse to get a Twitter account because I feel it's a waste of time. So, this should count for 2 entries, right? ;)

    • Kingdomwarrior78

For my son – $454.56 per year – not counting tax. Always bought from Sam's. 1 box a month.

    • Abigail

I'm guessing about $1000 course I have a nephew who goes through 15 diapers a day so their number is way higher!

    • Mary P.

      $1000? I can only imagine….

    • happymom

I'm gonna guess $750/year. Fingers crossed on the Butt Paste!

    • CJ

I would guess about $2500 for the average family.

    • ZMK

I would say about $2000 a year before coupons. Boudreax's is the best butt paste ever! We have another on the way, and this is the only diaper rash cream we use!

    • Caughtinaction6

    • My2Kids

    • yellownikki

      $1800 per year on diapers

my guess would be around $650.

    • E99redrose

      About $625

    • Ontheeastcoast

    • Bran

      An even $1,000.

    • Jarrodbryson

      $850 +/- $850

So Free for the Super Coupon moms and dads, and maybe $1,700 for those that have never heard of a sale or coupons!

    • Brobranbaseball

$524 a year! I have a 15 year old that still uses this product! HA HA! Great for sport related rashes!

    • Monkeygirl362

I think the average family spends on diapers is about $1200

    • McKinna

      $625 a year per child

    • mary

      $1500 a year, maybe more!

    • Jacqueline

I am looking at this from a different perspective…we care for my 83 year old Mom at home. She is in adult diapers and we are highly dependent on Boudreaux's for her skin care and comfort. I would guest conservatively we spend $500 a year just on diapers.

    • miatd

i would say the average family….(none of us couponers…lol)
spend about 500-1000 a year on diapers ..maybe more…. this would be a great item to win..thanks jenny for the chance

    • miatd

i'd say about 600-1200 a year on diapers

    • Dwaynejenn46

about $600-$1000 a year per child

    • Kara G.

On average around $900 a year per child.

    • Kellimorris

I would guess about $1000 a year for diapers.

    • Valeriejcm

I'm going with a lot of the others at $600. Mine are both waaaaaaaaaaaay out of diapers, but I'm “collecting” cheap and free diapers and wipes for a friend's daughter. So far I have 1 case, 7 jumbo packs, 30 individuals (samples of Tugaloos) of diapers and 6 boxes of wipes. She's due in November so I'm still collecting! A years supply of butt paste would be an awesome addition!

    • K_berkley

Approximately $1400 per year per child. (without coupons, etc)

    • Jessi Morris

      About $1000-$1200 a year.

    • K_berkley

However, I spend only about $700/yr…

    • Gina

$1600-2000 per year, this is based on 52wks.

    • Sunrisemoments2000

My Mother-in-Law swears by Boudreaux's!! I would say around 800-1000 for a year of diapers.

    • Daniella

$520 a year per child (average of 5 or 6 diapers a day)… I think the average family at least clips coupons when they see them for Pampers and Huggies, even if they don't do “couponing” in the way that we all do. =)

    • Cbailey2911

Depending on brand, sales, coupons….about $700 a year?

    • ColaMommy

I'm having a baby in November and have heard good things about this product. I'm going to request a free sample! I would say about $1100 to $1200 per year spent on diapers…boy I hope this is way more than what I will spend!

    • Tammyla

around $800-$1000 a year per child.

    • Bekah Bush

      I'd say about $1200! Yikes!

    • I'm guessing 1000.00!

      radnascar at hotmail dot com

    • Jenmason84

I would say for one child in diapers- about $800

    • ivegotcutekids

    • Couponqueenkalena

      About $850 per child.

    • Kim

      $600/yr per child

    • ABK

probably about $735, lots of money

    • Terrica

      I am gonna guess $1050/year!

    • Struckdeals

The diapers themselves, about $400. We use cloth most the time, have a couple dozen of them and buy disposable occasionally for traveling/long outings.

    • Heather

For one child I would say around $720 a year. Butt Paste is all that my family uses. It is all that you say it is.

    • rachel

    • Rita

      I'm guessing $315 per year

    • Mecessaburns

I USED to spend $1020/month for my two girls before I became a SS apprentice!

    • Gty46

With couponing- probably around $300 without couponing- probably around $700

    • MomofKLA

I think about $600 a year per child.

    • Deannasmiley

    • Tcolley

We currently buy sam's brand (members mark) diapers and formula. Just for regular diapers, probably around $500. Our child sleeps on his stomach so we also have to buy night time diapers so it won't leak. Then you also have to buy swim diapers for the summer. I would say around $650 per year. Now that I use SS I can buy night time and swim diapers for much cheaper!!

    • Gabrielle Wagner

I would guess $1500.00 per year on diapers. I know its alot. I have two kids and it adds up.

    • Fawashburn

$700 per child, that's my guess

    • Lvernon

    • Micheller080584

      $800 a year

    • Tonya

TOO DANG MUCH! $698. Oh and we love love love the butt past!!

    • Karenlsummers

      with or without coupons??
with i'd say it's significantly less!
      $600 a year

    • Allysonhage

    • Jessica Brock

    • Amanda W

I would say the average family spends $1039.48 a year on diapers…

    • Sara

Average family spends $950 annually on diapers.

    • jessica1970

I did not coupon at all when my daughter was in diapers. So, if the estimate is supposed to be before coupons and using between 10-12 diapers a day, I would say at least 2000. I guess it depends on the brand. I used only pampers. One of the few things I had a brand favorite of. Other diapers irritated my daughter's skin. A lot of factors go into this one. Congrats to the winner.

    • Kjohnston6

    • Lacy

    • Charissa Graham

      $2,050 on diapers a year

    • RachBecker82

The average family spends $2,085 on diapers per year for 2 children is my guess

    • Gickied

An average family these days may have two babies in diapers and if they're using LUVS brand diapers they'll probably spend an average of $780.00 a year.

    • Scmomx3

I would say the average family spends $1560.00 on diapers..Good luck everyone.

    • kermnelmo

I would guess around $624 a year without coupons. WOW, I'm SO happy I found couponing ! I've spent LESS than $50 in the past year on diapers !!! Oh, and I LOVE Boudreax's !!!! Awesome stuff !

    • Jemerson818611

      1040.00 for 1 child and 1700.00 for 2 children

    • Sarah

      $500 for one child.

    • The average family spends 990$ in diapers per year.

    • Ashley

With an average family size of 3.14, I guess the 1.14 kids would cost about $600 each year in diapers. :)

    • Chanda S.

I'd say around $1000. The little guys are expensive.

    • Robin

      $591 a year for 1 child.

    • Misty

I would say $1640. So thankful we use a lot of cloth diapers and coupons on the ones that are not.

    • Kimberli

Its so hard to estimate with all the great diaper deals you post I save SO much, but I would say somewhere between $500-700/year for one child in diapers.

    • Erin

About $600 for my older son, much less for my infant, so I'd guess the average family spends atleast $1000 on diapers.

    • Marybpn

We use generic diapers so we only spend around $200! I bet the average family spends about $350 on diapers a year.

    • Marci

my guess is average $500.00 on diapers in a year

    • Staceys

I would say about $875 per child on average (considering most people don't use coupons and Rite Aid!) =)

    • Kate

I'm guessing that the average family doesn't coupon / shop sales, so my guess is $900. I'm also guessing that the average family buys name brand diapers from the grocery / drug store.

    • Afy1229

I'm gonna guess $1200.00 for the non-couponers. Goodness that sounds like alot!

    • Melanie

My guess would be 1038.96 without coupons, for one child.
I love this paste. Would be great to win it..

    • Karen

I would guess around $750 – $775 per year for one child.

    • Kristihartley

My guess is 959.00 thats buying Huggies or Pampers with NO coupons and having 2 children in diapers =) Thats what we would have spent this past year If I didnt use coupons =)

    • Marianna

      $800 per year. I <3 butt paste!!!!

    • Avscoupons

I would guess that the average family spends about $600 a year on diapers.

    • Angie

      I would say a $1000 a year.

    • Katrina

      My guess is $1000

    • Ashley S

i would assume the average family spends about 400 dollars a year with just one child in diapers. and there is nothing like boudreax's!!!!

    • Wbarnhill

      $500 a year

    • Janelniles

I will say $1039….I love love love boudreax's, tried others but now use nothing else…

    • Tiffany

$540 per child a year! Looking forward to seeing who wins! Can't wait!

    • slocklair

I am guessing 750. I recommend boudreauxs to all new moms and its cheaper than the behind the counter equivalent.

    • Julia

      $850 is my guess.

    • Diane

Type your comment here.Arround $700.per year, I love Boudreauxs!

    • Jill D.

A family spends around $80 a month for newborns and $20 a month for toddlers. So I say $600 a month for diapers if you average them together. Thankfully my little one is potty trained but I love Boudreaux's. It's the only thing she's not allergic to!

    • Tamara

I estimate $720. Love some butt paste!

    • Bsurfergirl

I'm guessing about $723 per child, per year!

    • Emmyandtripp

I am guessing 1,120. We love butt paste!!!!

    • Lyssa

I'm thinking (assuming the average family is NOT couponing) that a family with one child will buy 2 big boxes of diapers at $42 per box ($84/month). So in a year, I would guess $1008 give or take. :)

I too am a HUGE fan of Boudreaux's!

    • Tpham_23

My guess would be $1050 per year.

    • Sawinsc

$1500.00 a year if the avg. family has 2 kids! Butt Paste is rocks!!!

    • Sarah

I think the average family spends about $800 per child a year on diapers without coupons and deals, which most people don't do!

    • guest

My guess is $1040 per year on diapers

    • Nada

At least 850 a year, if you don”t coupon!

    • Amy

My guess is around $700/yr for 1 child (but it would be a lot less if they followed southern savers:-)

    • JSJ

With one child, I would guess $875 per year.

    • Jennifer

      I would guess $780 a year

    • For one child (non-couponers) I would guess around $600 a year. Happily, thanks to Southern Savers, I spend less than that for two!! :)

    • BamaGranna

$1,125 on average – unless you're a SouthernSavers fan, of course!

    • Erinfulmer

I say, with one child in diapers, about $1040 a year. My daughter had exzema, so we actually use Boudreax's on the back of her legs!

    • Gretchen Charpia

      ~ 650.00 on diapers

    • Tracy (mom of 3)

My guess for one child and a great coupon shopper would be $350 a year.

I agree, the Boudreax Butt Paste is the best. It is also great on windburns and other minor skin issues.

    • Stephanie

I'd guess about $500 in diapers a year. But I guess it depends on what type of diapers you use…

    • I T Mavin

I was reading it's $500 a year, but as much as my baby poops and the price of pampers without coupons, it has to be close to a $1000

    • JennB

      hmmm… I'd say at least $1000….

    • mnmmom

$912 per year (one child) @ Sam's Club (they don't take coupons, but the diapers are a really good deal)

    • Shellyshopper

$842 – Butt Paste makes you laugh when you first see it, but is absolutely the best for the butt!

    • Annaleigh

I'd say at least $1000 for those who'd rather not fool with coupons. For us smart shoppers, maybe $600. I figure the my baby goes through a box a week (it was more when she was a newborn) and she's a year old now. A box of diapers is usually $20 times 52 weeks in a year= $1040. Just my guess…

    • Donna

I think if a person uses on an average of 10 to12 diapers per day then the cost would be $2,500.00 a year and this would be without coupons. The BUTT PASTE woks GREAT on my great son!

    • Laura

    • Anunez12

      I would say around $1500 w/o coupons!

    • Jen

For a two year old, I think we spend $40 per box of diapers. Those diapers last about one month so we spend approximately 40 times 12 = $480 per year. However I expect people to pay more than that so I expect people pay around $700 on diapers per year.

    • Leigh

My guess for 1 year of diapers for 1 child is $552. That's a whole lot of poop!

    • Sarah

    • Ckoysza

      I think it's $450.66!

    • Onenonly29172

      I m guessing close to $1,130….without coupons….

    • Banyail

    • Redster16

I am going to say $1040.00 without coupons!

    • meg

      I'd say about $1026 a year.

    • Cherylkidd

      $468 per year

    • sarahkat

    • angel

      1 kid $350 2 kids $700

    • Holliephillips01

So far we go through about one large box a week. Using diapers on the high end (huggies) would run about $1040 a year before coupons. Using cheaper diapers (luvs) runs about $624 a year before coupons. Since we are talking about the average family I would guess an average of the two totals and say the average family spends $832 a year on diapers. Again this is before coupons.

    • Susan

I will be buying diapers again soon after a 5 year hiatus, but I am going to guess the average family spends about 850 a year. This is one category I really would not mind being below average!

    • Carmarm

I am going to say that on average families spend about $750/year on diapers.

    • Rebekahlittle88

    • Kristinabruce

I think that it is $819.00 a year. for us it is $1,638.00 b/f all my coupons and sales. Thanks for the help…

    • Instigatorjc

    • Getorganized

$929.99 on average family. It would be great for my baby's bum to win this! Kat

    • Ilolydia

I would think the average family would spend approximately 600-650 a year per child on diapers.

    • amber

The average household…probably about $1150/year…but the coupon using/southernsavers household…maybe $400 a year. My last 6 packs of diapers were super cheap…$3-5 each with a pack lasting a week.

    • Christina Thompson

We go through about apack aweek so I'm going to guess that on average it costs $624 a year per child.

    • Leangela

So far I've spent about $300 in cloth diapers & won't be buying more for a little while. Tons of savings over sposies!

    • Alicia

My guess would be $650.00 a year.

    • Jsmith29345

My 3 Year old wears one to bed at night for about $85.00 a year. We spend about 480.00 a year on my baby currently 10 months old. So for the both of them its $565.00. I've been saving more since getting on this site and buying larger pack helps. Now with more expensive diapers and no sales or coupons, I would have to guess around 1000.00

    • Emily

I would say $300.00 for one kid.

    • Carey_ali

That depends on the brand, of course. If generic than I would have to say about $180 but if it is the name brand then it's probably closer to $350. So, average of those – I choose $275

    • Gagirl78

I spend about 500 a year. Love the butt paste much better than destin.

    • Hubbardca

I have five children, one in diapers. We got a sample of this product in the hospital, and while I agree it is the best because it is so smooth and does not clump, (Crisco also does a good job), I really don't like the name.
I use paper diapers until my kids become more regular and then use both paper and cloth. I find using cloth — even on occasion — saves lots of trips to the store. The six cloth diapers I bought years ago have paid for themselves many times over. I probably only spend $300 on diapers per year.
I also don't use many disposable wipes. I find they don't clean as well as baby washcloths and they're not as gentle. Plus my older kids find way too many uses for the wipes and, rather than cleaning up, they clean me out!

    • Erin

      $4000…. That's why I cloth Diaper!
But when ever the kids have diaper rash, we put on a 'sposie and use Butt Paste! Love the stuff!

    • Billiekaym

Using coupons i would say $500. btw i love butt paste!!!!!

    • Wilsonsj

The average 'non-coupon using family' spends about $900/year.

    • deniseCLT

i dont really have a good idea since we use cloth diapers….but i would guess maybe 40 bucks a month, times 12 would be $480.

    • Catteibrie

      I think approx $1344/year.

    • Clairebeautiful

I'm going to say $1 a day per child in diapers. So $365 for one child in diapers or $730 for 2 (which to me is the average family).

      • Clairebeautiful

Actually, I'm amending my answer. After my in-laws took care of my girls for a week, I realize we go through far fewer diapers than most people (by nature of knowing our child's poop schedule!). I'm going to say the average family spends closer to $3.50 a day on diapers for one child – $1260 dollars a year. A family of 4 (with 2 children in diapers) would cost $2520 a year).

    • Amandackesler

I say about $1000 or more

    • Melody

I am going to guess $800.

    • Barbara

an average family that does not use coupons spends probably around $1345 per year for one kid (I think I'ver read about somewhere but I'm not sure. Hope to win. Thanks.

    • Diane

My guess would be $400 a year on diapers for one child

    • Michelle

Without using coupons i think you could easily spend $1000/yr!

    • Richnstef92

      my guess would be $750/yr.

    • Tammy :)

My guess is $1250 with no coupons.

    • My guess is $1000 a year!

    • Nurselisa123

My guess is $800 a year.

    • R.B.

The answer depends on whether or not, and how serious of a shopper and furthermore couponer the parent(s) is/are. Geographic locale would be another consideration, since prices aren't consistent throughout the U.S. It would also depend on the child's age, because larger children go thru more, and are thus packaged less because they're larger in size. Another factor to consider is whether or not sales tax is included as part of the survey, since technically it is part of the cost of the purchase. For my infant, based on the number per day and week x 52, and the avid couponer that I am, I will have spent about $389. But the “average” person may expect to pay about $671.80 in N.C., inclusive of sales tax and without tax, $623.48.

    • hafnermomof5

I think on average a family spends $1040 yearly…thx for all ur fun giveaways.

    • Autumn

I would say including tax about $10/wk for 52 weeks, around $500 per year…This is without coupons…With coupons it would depend on how much you use coupons…So for my son this past year I spent around $500/yr for us before coupons… :)

    • DuffieDilworth

$150 – my family even uses it to help with rashes from surfing waves at the beach

    • Becky

I would guess about $500 a year, but I really have no clue since I cloth diaper.

    • Becky A.

    • Susan

      I would guess $900.

    • kim O

      $1600 a year! Wowsers!

    • Ebbrennan

Wow, the average family probably spends around $1,045.00 – thats my guess. Your readers (me) probably spend more like $300. :)

      Thanks for the chance!

    • Karan Burgdorf

I spend $ 346.32 per year for my grandson using coupons and sales combined however i assume the average family spend twice that amount!

    • Heather

I would guess around $600 per year, per child….without coupons.

    • Erin

I was thinking about $600 per year.

    • Lane

I would guess the average consumer who does not buy diapers on sale or coupon likely spends about $540 a year on diapers alone. Thanks for offering this giveaway!

    • Casail

We spend around 6 hundred on diapers per year! We get our diapers from Sam's club but sometimes I am able to use coupons and sales to get them cheaper. We are brand loyal also which is another reason we pay so much. We love Butt Paste and I just recently found the 16oz tub at Target. It is a great price per ounce. I am proud to say my little girl has never has a diaper rash and I think it's because of the paste! No other brand comes close!

    • Amy Maio

Hmm, I'm going to guess $600.

    • Sunkissed2685

      $650 i would guess

    • Amyhutto3

$700 (especially in the first year)!

    • Kristen

      I LOOVE this stuff !!! <3
My 10 month old has super sensitive skin… so we alwasy have boudreaux's on hand.
My guess would be $1500 a year – not us Southern Savers readers though ;)

    • Cheryl P

    • andrea

$550 per year…I spend about half that though!!! :)

    • JLGnewt

Wow, I'll guess but I'm about to find about starting in about two months.

I'm going to go with probably 850+. We are going to cloth diaper at home though so I'm hoping to spend significantly less than that!

    • Emily W.

I think I'd guess $985.00. Thanks for the awesome contest!

    • DanaP

I would have to guess around $950 – $1000 per year before any coupons. That's the average family estimate.

    • Lhill982

      About $1500/year?

    • Diana

We love Boudreaux's Butt Paste! I would guess the average family spends $1000/child/year on diapers.

    • Sara

I would guess about 1000 but with coupons? Hmmmm 650!

    • Gt5801d

I'm going to guess about $1100 per year for the average family.

    • Jellybean19

      I think it's $975/yr.

    • $1,040 dollars per year

    • Muffinstuff1

      $840 per child/yr.

    • Pdubcdub

    • janet p

I have had kids in diapers for the past 4 yrs non-stop… With one child in diapers fulltime I spend a total of $900 before coupons, but after coupons and savings like B1G1 deals I end up spending closer to $400 a year on diapers.

    • Wendy Gray

i think an average of how much is spent on diapers in a year is….$250

      • Wendy Gray

i change my mind….espeically after reading those last few posts. im going to say $800.

    • Lohroc

The average family spends about $950 a year.

    • Allie P

      Um $641. The ages of my kids. 6, 4, 1. =)

    • Bambi

I'll guess $960 is about how much the average family spends on diapers a year.

    • I'd have to say $520.00 a year.

    • SSheila

I'd say we probably spend about $400 a year on diapers. I love this product and would love to get it free!

    • Melissa

Around $600 per year per child in diapers.

    • Marie

      About $1200 a year.

    • Missy

I would say around $650 per year, per child.

    • Vatonc

I can't even begin to imagine how much I spent before couponing. These days however, I never pay more than $3 a week for diapers/wipes…usually much less…so, I'll guess I spend max….$156 a year. The “average” non-couponer probably spends- $720 a year ($10 for diapers, $3.50 for wipes, $.50 for creams, etc)

    • Jfcoupon

      I'm going to say 875

    • Cheri

I'd say the average family spends around $1200 for diapers per year without coupons

    • jennifer_b3

I'm going to guess that the average family spends around $780/year for diapers.

    • Gwilly99

      My guess is $1000

    • Jerilynn

      $912 per year!

    • lindseyb

i've heard anywhere from $1000-$1500 per child!

    • LeaneG

I would say that it is about 700-1100 per child/per year if you are using disposables…..and I also think it depends on the age of the child. I know for a fact that we used way more diapers when our son was younger, and as he grew, the diaper changes decreased in frequency.
      Great giveaway!
We have our 2nd on the way, so a supply of Boudreaux's would be a lifesaver!

    • Ashley
