Do you have lots of the “Free Galde 2oz Soy Candle” coupons from SS 8/09?  I have spent the last few weeks searching to find these anywhere.

Well head to Walgreens, they are on sale $2.50 ea.

Buy (2) and use (2) Free coupons.

You will get a $1 RR back for purchasing glade!

    We got them in the B’ham news. Also, do you think they should be used now at WAGS, or saved just in case there is a better deal at CVS later? I had thought about using them as filler items to get me up to $20 so I could use a $4/20 q at CVS.

    Oh and is this a confirmed deal? I’m asking because when it was posted a couple of weeks ago about buying 3 easy macs and getting a 1 RR back, I never got the RR and the store had no idea what I was talking about. It wasn’t posted in the store so I never got them.

    Deal confirmed over in NY. I got 1 2oz candle and 1 oil tin candle 2/$5 and received $1RR. FYI – The tins contain a $1.50 coupon & there is also a $3/1 printable at RedPlum! So, Ln if you want, you can save the FREE coupons and use the $3 printable – makes for an awesome deal!!!

    Looks like there are a couple of options here. I only have one paper, so the buy 2, use 2 “free” coupons, get $1 RR back option is out for me. For those of you in my boat, here’s what I’ve come up with.

    I do have 1 “free” coupon so I’m either going to get 1 free candle and no RR back OR right beside that coupon was another for $3 off any 2 Glade fragrance collection products. You could buy 2 at $2.50 for a total of $5. Use the 1 $3 off coupon and get back $1 in RR which would result in 2 candles for $1 OOP. Oh…it’s a toss up!

    I did this deal today. There were none in the air freshener aisle, but two big displays by the register with 2 for $5 signs on them. I don’t know if I saw anything about the $1 RR, but it printed!

    I didn’t get these Qs in my paper. I have been through my whole pile of SS and cannot find them! When I did the CVS deal this week though, I got these candles. I got a $4 Q in the mail for them so it worked out well. I would love to get more of them though. They smell great!

    Lorie- Yes, Walgreen’s does give rainchecks but that will just be on the sale price of the item, not the Register Reward, no raincheck for that. Hope this helps!

    I notice that when many of you post about your OOP – it doesn’t appear that you pay sales tax. We don’t pay tax on food – but we do on everything else and it is at the before coupon price. Others?

    I used my free coupon the other day at Walmart…they only had 3 of the 2oz candles left. I also saw today on CVS they have the Glade frangrance collection candles for 6.99 and you get 6.99 in ECB back. If you have the coupon that’s on heck of a deal! I’m going to stock up tomorrow.

    They have the candles at the Bi-Lo on East North Street too if you can’t find them at Walgreens….It took me weeks to find these darn candles and I finally did and they smell awesome!!

    This fall I won’t be able to live with out maternity jeans! I just found out that I am pregnant with our second child, and the company I work for is a jeans friendly environment any day of the week. The company I worked for when I had my daughter was business casual, so jeans weren’t in the wardrobe then.

    This deal worked perfect at Walgreens on Pelham/Roper Mtn extension in Greenville SC. Paid .30 in tax but got the $1.00 RR.

    Made a 2nd trip to Walgreens, just for these! Luckily, it is just down the road from me. Added a filler item (a caramel) and paid OOP 36 cents for 2 candles and got my $1 RR. Whoo hooo!!! Thanks for the info!

    If you can’t find them on the shelf in Wags look for a separate display that has the 2oz candles in them. I couldn’t find them on the shelf at my store, and then I went down an adjacent aisle and found them on display in a cardboard looking thing.

    I think you might be trying to get the wrong size candles. These are the 2oz votive size reg. around $3-$4 They are not the one in the picture above, that is a bigger candle and costs around $5-$6.

    You may want to wait until next week to do this! The 2 oz candles are supposed to be 2/$4 next week and not 2/$5!

    In TN, we pay tax on everything. Food tax is 7.75%-8.25% (depending on county) and non-food is between 9.25-9.75%

    The one in the picture is 4.9 oz. The 2 oz. must be the votives. I bought the McIntosh Apple 4.9 oz. Sunday at CVS, and it smells terrific! I never thought I’d become a candle person. lol

    Just wanted to let you all know…. the picture of the soy candle is actually the 4 oz candle. I had to ask someone for the 2 oz candle and she went in the back @ Walgreens and got them for me.Good deal, always love free!

    I found these in the Fall/Halloween section at my Walgreens. The shelf price stated $3.16? (Not sure of the exact price!) I asked the cashier to price check and they did ring up $2.50. I was able to use (2)”Free” coupons from the 8/9 SS. I paid $.35 OOP for both and received $1 RR.

    My Wags will not give me the RR if I use a coupon for the purchase. I’ve contacted corp over this but they will not respond. Does anyone else ever have this problem?

    I used three of the $3 off Glade coupons yesterday…purchased 4 of the two ounce candles at WAGs…if you only buy three candles you get beeped because the coupon value exceeds the value of the product….So:
    Buy 4 two ounce candles ($2.50 each)
    Use 3 coupons (-$9.00)
    Get $1 RR
    + 4 FREE candles!
    Love, love, love the deals I find with you guys. Thanks, Jenny, for all that you do. I am going to send these candles as treats for my daughter’s teachers.

    Will they let you do this deal multiple times? I went to my Wags today and couldn’t find them, but it is just down the road and I may go back and try again. I was going to use the $1.00 register rewards to buy my Easy Mac Cups for the Nabisco rebate. Is this an unadvertised deal? I didn’t see it in my Wags ad.

    My CVS had them – but on the shelf near the air fresheners, not with the $6.99 ECB candle display. I was able to use the free coupon PLUS the $3 off any two Glade candles together and get the $6.99 ECB – much better money maker at CVS! I gave the candles to my daughter’s teachers because we have asthma and can’t burn them. Makes up for not being able to afford a Christmas present for her last year!

    I had two of these sets of coupons, and one set was folded over when I was cutting so it got sliced up beyond repair (still haven’t figured out how that happened but that little boo-boo cost me $$$ !)

    Has anyone found the 2 oz candles in Nashville area? I went to Walgreens today and couldn’t find them. Also, they weren’t listed in our ad either. Are all Register Rewards always in the ad? I have 2 free candles coupons and wanted to get the RR for my Sunday paper( the only item I regularly buy at Walgreens for .99)
    Oh well! Still, if they can be found elsewhere, I will take two free candles- my 4 year old LOVES candles!

    I only had one Q so I’m not sure if I had purchased two if I would have received the RR but, at our Walgreens they are not on sale for $2.50. BTW, I’m in north Florida.

    I couldn’t find them at my Walgreens, but noticed there two of the 2oz votives stacked by the cash register with a 2/$5 sign. Asked if those were the only ones and the cashier pulled out a case of them from under the counter (near the cigarettes) and asked how many and what scents I wanted. I was glad I had my FREE coupons with me!

    For those of you who can’t find the 2oz votives, don’t be afraid to ask your cashier. HTH!

    I just found them at the Walgreens in Green Hills (Abbott Martin & Hillsboro) They actually had them on sale for 99 cents each. When she rung it up, a $1.50 coupon automatically came with it. So I got a price with no coupon. Got no RR for it, though.

    I also found them at the Wags in Franklin–the one on Hwy 96 just West of I-65. Got them 2 for $5 and used the $3 off coupon last night.

    I know this is a Wags page, but the larger Glade candles that are on the $3 off coupon are on sale at CVS right now for $6.99 and you get a $6.99 RR. So you could make $3 on that deal. HTH!

    Walmart also carries the entire Glade line. The glass candle holders and the tin candle holders are $2.97 each and the refills are $2.98 each. Use the $3.00 off and the buy a holder get a refill coupons and they are both free. Hope that helps if you can’t find them anywhere else.

    As a manager of Walgreen’s, let me also add a helpful hint. Our registers are only programmed to accept the same number of coupons that are in your order. Say you have 10 items in your order, the register will only accept 10 coupons, including register rewards. If you read the fine print of the register rewards, it says that right in there. I have had quite a few coupon clippers come through with the issue of more coupons than items, managers cannot override this issue.

    Nashville Area:

    The Wags in Bellvue on 70 has them near the register, I only bought one because it wouldn’t take the free and the $3. So I don’t know if Nash. area is giving out RR. I paid .23 sales tax and no RR. Not very happy with the outcome.

    I’m fairly new to the coupon game. I’m learning that when the items do not ring up right with the coupons and RR are not given, I’m just going to have the cashier void everything and try it again at another time. I lose my coupons when I don’t get the full benefit of the promo, like to day no RR and now I’m out a coupon.

    Just got the Glade deal at Walgreens. I bought the candle holder and 2 oz candle and used the free refills coupons. There’s a $2 of any Glade Fragrance product inside either the holder or the refills (sorry can’t remember which) but both have coupons inside of them. So if you are going out to get this deal just for the RR, buy the candle holders and use your free refills coupons to get MORE COUPONS. When I go again I should have a combination of coupons to do the deal a third time with 2 – $2 off any Glade product. So with my last transaction, I’ll get the deal for free and get a $1 RR!!!

    It’s the refills that have the $2 coupon, but it may be only certain scents. Look inside the box before you purchase to see if the coupong is in there.
