Just left Bi-Lo in Surfside, SC and saw Sister Schuberts products ( yeast rolls in the frozen foods section) with a price lock sticker on them for 2.79. I know that I have seen 0.50 cents off coupons out there so that would make them 1.79. The date on the priced lock sticker started 3/30/10—could this mean that we FINALLY get some new products in the price lock section?!?!? Let's hope!

      • bradleyr

I saw lots of 8 week price lock tags today while in my store here in Cleveland, TN. Looks like they are changing some of them. I noticed that Rachael Ray dog food is on sale price locked at 13.99 and there was a $2.00 off coupon if you ordered the sample from Walmart and there was also a coupon in one of the weekly ads (have no idea which week) for $2.00 also. I'm really excited about this because it is the only food my dog will eat. High maintence dog :) haha. That would make it 11.99 which is a great deal!

    • becky e

The Bi-Lo on Main Street in Summerville had Gillette body wash for $1.20. They would not let me use $2q, so I had to buy 2 and pay .20 each. Still a good deal. There were about 20 bottles.

      • mag9775

        Hi Becky!

So I went to Bi-Lo and I saw the body wash for 2/$7. I didn't see the $1.20??

    • Tina M

Just got back from Bi-Lo and they have the Snuggle 80 count fabric softener sheets for $2.99 = FREE with the $3.00 Q in RP 3/28!

      • RebeccaFer

Oh! I hope they have the liquid for that price too! FL has it for $2.99 and I didn't use all my qs there because I'd rather use them at Bi-Lo and get the fuel perks plus use the $10/$50 q from my Citipass book. :D

        • mag9775

The liquid is on sale at K-Mart for $2.50. I used the Q and had a .50 cent overage!

          • RebeccaFer

That's awesome mag! :D The only reason I'm going to use Bi-Lo is because of the Fuel Perks program. They are so smart for having this because it definitely makes me shop more there! :D

          • Beth

The liquid Snuggle that is on sale at K-mart is not the correct size. The Q is for a larger size. I went to K-Mart yesterday only to leave empty handed. But I was pleasantly surprised when I went to Bi-Lo and got the 80ct sheets for free on price lock 2.99. YAY!

    • Paige

In my Charlotte area ad, the Ore-Ida French Fries and Buy 2 Get 1 Free not B1G1.

    • Autumn

For the “Meal Deals” does using a coupon for something that is free still give you $ off? I don't want to waste a coupon.
      Thanks

      • cherie

THey always accept the coupon for me

      • chele17

My store won't let me use Q's on the free items! The coupon beeps.

        • Brooke82

          Same here!

      • Suemh

If they scan your coupon before they scan your BonusCard, it won't beep.

    • Allison

For you experienced coupon-ers: when you use a coupon that is going to give you overage (such as the sour cream above for 99 cents with a 55 cent coupon which would be doubled to $1.10), does the scanner always beep at you because it's over the amount (it does to me)? If the cashier says they can't accept it b/c it is over the amount of the item, what do you do — can you request they NOT double the coupon, do you argue the point (and what argument do you use), or just say OK and not get the item? Thanks for any help!

      • mdawnrose

My Bi-Lo computer “sometimes” will automatically double it up to the total cost. If they give me a problem I ask nicely to manually double it-but only up to the cost of the item. Most cashiers are nice about it but sometimes you get the cashier-coupon-Nazi–when that happens-ask them to put your item back and come back another time.

        • jennifer2540

My Bi-lo has started automatically doubling up to the item price. It's a recent development, so maybe it's coming your way soon. Btw… always try to go to a younger cashier… they usually don't get “coupon-Nazi” on you and are more willing to work with you!

          • pharmSCgirl

To avoid the beeping issues, I always ask the cashier if I can scan my card at the end. Not only does it avoid issues with coupons being more than the product costs, but it's also kind of fun to see the subtotal decrease. The cashiers don't usually mind and in fact I had one to tell me to use it at the end.

      • elisa

At my Bi-lo, sometimes they double and give me overage and sometimes it adjusts it down to the cost of the item, but I've never had a problem with them not doubling. Using the self-checkout always works better for me.

        • ItsACouponThing

I tried using the UServe a few times and always run into trouble with doubling. I guess the trick is to use just a couple of coupons ahead of time and see if it “takes” both at regular check-out and at UServe. I agree with Jennifer2540 about getting a younger cashier. They probably understand more about how hard it can be money-wise and are more helpful because of that.
Oh man, I went into a Seneca Walgreens yesterday (Saturday) and the (young) cashier was incredible with me! I was buying the $3.99 i-motion with a $4 coupon (some people have been rejected on this). She just told me to purchase some gum or whatever and it would turn out fine. She helped me a bunch to where I paid very, very little for several items. And was sweet and smiling the whole time!

The other day I went to the self check out and it only doubled to the amount of the product. Today I went to the same store and went to a manned check out and it doubled my coupons to the full amount, above product cost. I am using the manned check out from now on.

      • FrugalMama001

My Bi-Lo will not allow overage if the amount is over the actual price of the product. Instead of giving me the overage they will just give me the product for free! (Ex. Sour Cream is .99 and coupon is .55…..They will give me the .55 value of the coupon and the extra .44 to make the item FREE) But sometimes I do get the overage…….just depends!

        • bmm2010

I work for BILO in customer service and I also use coupons, so I know the organizing and planning time it takes. If you come to my store and there is an overage, you will get it. We just cannot give you change back if your total is a negative total because of coupons.

Does anyone else have a problem getting expired or bad meat from their Bi-lo? Everytime I go there I see expired food!

      • jennifer2540

I used to have problems with the Bi-lo in Columbia, SC. I finally complained to corporate. The manager called me personally, and after that it got better. I haven't had ANY problems with that since I moved to Greenville recently! Try talking to corporate and good luck!

      • amandanicholson

You need to complain by email to the corporate office, I had the same problem, emailed BiLo and within a few hours I was contacted by the manager, thanked for contacting them and was given a 25.00 gift card to BiLo, It is worth taking a few minutes to email them. Be cordial, let them know you are a loyal customer, you love to be able to use the coupons, fuel perks…but…the food you are buying is expired!

        • Nicole

I would suggest that you talk to the Store Director before contacting corporate. Please also realize that they really do attempt to remove expired products. NO one is purposefully trying to sell customers expired product. Think about the hundreds of thousands of products in the store. Unfortunately, items sometimes slip through the cracks. Let's put ourselves in the shoes of the teammates before we jump the gun and call corporate. Give the management at store level the chance to make things right first.

          • amandanicholson

I never said people were trying to sell expired products, its completely unacceptable to find expired foods in the grocery store, that is what the employees are there for, to make sure thier food is as fresh as possible. I would never accept any excuses that the food “slips through the cracks”, to me that is unacceptable. And, FYI, I did contact the store manager the FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED and I still found outdated foods afterwards.

            • Nicole

It must be nice to live in a perfect world :-). I wonder if any of you ever make mistakes in your job (whatever that might be)? You would feel different if someone were calling your boss over EVERY misstep that you (or someone that works for you) made. My husband is a Store Director and I would like to have him home to spend time with OUR family. I guess he could spend EVERY WAKING MOMENT checking EVERY SINGLE item. Let's use just a little common sense and have a little compassion for those employees who work EVERY holiday so that if you forget the rolls for your Easter meal, you can just run to the store and pick them up. I am willing to forgive mistakes as long as that is what it is… a mistake. I am not going to argue about this, it just seems that everyone wants to go straight to corporate (usually because that is how you end up with a gift card, etc). Unfortunately, it affects the Store Management and their evaluations, etc. I hope that you enjoy your Easter dinner as you sit down with your family, as my husband will be in the store making sure that you can run on over and pick up the items that you have forgotten.

            • amandanicholson

What does that have to do with expired food? I think someone just needed to spout off whatever they had on thier mind…how cute!

            • Nicole

I will speak vvveerrry slow… It has EVERYTHING to do with your comment about expired food. The point is that there is NO POSSIBLE way, with the labor budget that these stores are given, that there won't EVER be expired products that are found on the shelves. Unfortunately, they (the Store Directors) can't check the date on every single item that is on the shelf in Bi-Lo or any other store for that matter. If you find a grocery store where this is the case, then by all means that is exactly where you need to be shopping. The point I was trying to make is that the Store Directors are making every attempt to make sure that you have a pleasurable shopping experience and the you DON'T find expired products or products that don't meet your expectation in any other way (even if they are “in date”). I would guarantee, at any time, if you were to let any member of management know that you purchased/found an expired product, they would do whatever it takes to make it right. After all, isn't that all any reasonable human being wants anyway? The other question that I have is are you so quick to call corporate when an employee goes above and beyond? My guess would be no. I have said my peace and will not respond to any further comments but I sincerely hope that you and your family have a blessed Easter tomorrow… :-)

      • Brooke82

Thanks you guys. I just emailed them. Hopefully this will not be a problem anymore.

        • amandanicholson

          Good For You!

      • I just completed my Bi-lo.com/ survey about the same thing (except about produce) at the Bi-lo in TR, SC.

      • cari

yes, I have noticed expired meats still out for sale at Bi-Lo as well – I also did the survey and noted that to let them know as well, hopefully they read those…

    • L Williams

Oh Goodness! I had my worst shopping experience at BiLo ever today in Spartanburg, SC at CedarSprings. The olive oil and dannon yogart that was on sale they don't even carry. The $19.99 price lock dog food rang up at $24.99 and I picked up some scallops that were labels B1G1, but didn't ring up at that. Turns out they were not even in the sale paper so that cause problems too. Will NOT be shopping there ever again!

    • LindseyW

Does anyone know where the McCormick coupon is? I went through each page and used 90210 as well. I really want this coupon! :)

      • April

        try 40252

      • knitpickin5

        Try 45066.

    • Lorri

Jenny, you,re going to want to adjust your oop on the Comstock pie filling and the Dole Canned fruit. Prices after coupons will be more. The coupons are off 2 count on both. Comstock pie filling would be $2.15 for 2 & Dole Canned Fruit would be .60 for 2:

      Not –
      # Comstock Pie Filling, 20-21 oz, at $3.25 ($1.62)
      -.55/2 Comstock/Wilderness Pie Filling SS 11/08 (makes it 52¢)

      # Dole Pineapple, Tropical Fruit Salad or Mandarin Oranges, 15-20 oz, at $1.70 (85¢)-
-.55/2 Dole canned fruit SS 3/21 (makes it 3¢)

      Thanks for all you do

      • I just ordered 20 coupons to get the Dole fruit for $.30 each! I am so excited. We eat the canned pineapple all the time because it seems to go so well with the type of food that I cook. :-)

    • RJ13

At my Bilo in Taylors, SC, the DH brownies are bogo @ 1.99! .45 a piece for me! Also they 3 flavors of the nestle liquid coffee creamers in 16 oz bottles on closeout for 1.14 ea. .50/1 in RP 2-07 makes it .14 each!

      • knitpickin5

Is this the Bi-Lo next to the Walmart? Or the one in Hudson's Corners…that one might be considered Greer, though…

    • knitpickin5

I like the Welch's Grape Juice for $1.49. There were q's for $1/1 a few weeks back…can't remember if it's SS or RP, though. That makes the juice .49!!!

    • Amanda

I never knew that they can FREE item for completing the survey. Thanks for that info. Also do you know if the coupon is always the same item or do they change it?

Thanks again! I love this site

      • Suemh

It is the same until the expiration date. They usually change monthly, but a while back they changed mid-month. I always do the survey, which means every time I go to Bi-Lo I get a free item. My favorite was a few months ago, I think for the month of September, the coupon was for the green reusable bag. So far, it has akways been a Southern Home product: potato chips, 2 liter soda, tomato sauce, tomato paste, etc. I think that it's great.

    • dana

So.. I just got back from Bilo on Reidville Road and wanted to give everyone a heads up. They would not accept the Hershey's milkshake coupons. The manager said they are counterfeit coupons. Have to admit I was a bit lost b/c I have never had a coupon rejected before. Anyone else run into this issue?

      • amanda

I read your post right before I left to go to Bi-Lo so I made sure I purchased this item, I purchased 2 and used 2 coupons and the accepted both and even doubled them both. Sorry that you had trouble today.

        • dana

grrrr… Just a bad day I guess. Will take my qs back with me when I go buy that ham tomorrow and see what happens. lol..

    • I'm new to this and am wondering if they automatically double coupons under 60¢ (does the register do it), or do they do it manually automatically or do you have to ask them? If the register does it automatically, can I go through self-checkout when I just have a few things and it will do it?? Thanks!

      • FrugalGal

The register will do it automatically. And yes you can go to the self check out also.

    • Janie

I spoke to the manager at my Bi-lo in Florence,SC and I was told that Bi-lo has had problems with manuf. paying them for the coupons submitted. That is why the register does not adjust the coupon down anymore. If the coupon beeps the policy is now to take it at face value and not double. They also must have a manager override the sale if there are more than $15 in coupons used.
I have noticed though, if you get a young cashier they will push it through.
They have also let me use coupons on the closeout items as long as there is no overage after doubling.

    • Meme

Jenny, you know the pep talk you gave us a few months back? Well, I am having to give myself the same pep talk about taking a week or two off from couponing and using up what is already purchased. I came home with chicken bought at the famous price of .99/lb. to find my freezer door popped open and the ice not only built up in the freezer but everything was now melting. Had to switch things to my refrigerator freezer and fridge area and we are going to be feasting and having lots of shared meals in the next few days. So point well taken, slow down! Take a rest AND defrost the freezer! Should have listened to you, you always give good advice. Meme

    • amyjos

I was looking forward to the great deal on Dole fruit, but when I went last night the coupon only doubled to .41 instead of .55! Still only .37 each! Not bad. A lot cheaper than full price.

    • That DIgorno deal is NICE if you get the $3 offf coupons from the april fools thing! And I was able to print 2!

      • Hi, I was reading your comment and seen the $3 off coupons, do you know if you can use them on the special running at Bi-Lo this week? Any help is appreciated, thanks.

        • I dont see any reason you cant! Its new tho,.. that may be why Jenny doesnt have it up yet. I am going to try it in just a lil bit!

          • …. nope… they didnt take it,.. as a matter of fact it was limited to only the varieties in the one freezer chest with the entire deal in it. :-(

    • Jenny

You can get the Green Giant Boil in bag coupon for .50/2 if you go to target and print it. it's a manufacturers coupon and is not out of prints yet.

    • divalistic1

Welch's Grape Juice on sale for $1.49, $1 off coupon makes them .49 each

    • chapinlady

Has anyone had any trouble with McCormick Spice deal….buy 2 get 1.50 off next purchase. I didn't get it at Bi-Lo in Chapin.

    • Jennifer

How does the doubling work at Bi-Lo? If I have 4 $.50 off coupons for a product. If I buy 2 of the product can I use 2 coupons for it? Or if I buy 4 of them the $.50 off coupon will double when its scanned??

Hope that wasn't to confusing lol.

      • Jennifer

Nevermind I answered my own question by looking at my past receipt lol it automatically does it! That is neat if you ask me!

    • Amanda

OK. I'm confused. How does .55 off a .99 Sourcream make it free?

    • Amanda

Nevermind. I just realized she was counting on the coupons being doubled. My Bi-Lo is completely random as to whether or not they double coupons. In fact last week I did the meal deal 3 times with $1 coupons and in one transaction they doubled THAT. But very rarely do they double anything, even the ones under .60 that they should double.

    • jessica Freeman

The mighty dog can food isn't on sale anymore. It's regular price at 73 cents

    • bettykp

Has any one seen a Mt. Olive Pickles In Store coupon Dispenser in the Spartanburg/ Greer SC area?

      • jaimeech

I didn't see a dispenser, but alot of the jars had tags around the lid w/.55 Q at the Bilo on Southport Rd.

    • Brittany

With the doubling the manufacturing coupon do you have to have two coupons?

    • erinsimmons

I just got back from Bi Lo and got two jars of Skippy pnut butter for 80 cnts each!! They were on sale for $2 each and I had 60 cents coupons that doubled! I also got Welch's grape jam for 89 cents. It was 1.99 and I had a 55 cent coupon that doubled!! Kids are gonna eat PB &Js for lunch this week!! yaaay!

    • noteworthymom

Just a heads up for those that shop BiLo in Aiken on Pine Log Rd – they no longer double coupon that say “do not double” even if it's under $0.60. They didn't bother to tell me this until they starting scanning my coupons. I was very frustrated and complained to the manager. They said that the manufacturers would not reimburse them. Okay, I respect that, but if your policy changes, it should be posted somewhere people can see it.

    • adri_bunny4

Is anyone else having a hard time finding coupons you can double?

    • Hrstoker

I was in BiLo last night and wanted to buy the Suave shampoo for 88cents and it wasn't marked as such. I asked the manager and when it scanned it did not discount. Then, he looked at the 8 week ad and said he did not see it anywhere. I just thought I'd mention it and would love any thoughts.

    • ann

when you post items from stores; make sure that they are correct.. Bi-lo does not have the hershey's milkshake or the suave on price lock.

      • Suemh

I bought the Herhey's Milkshake yesterday for $1 in upstate SC.

    • Suemh
