This was a week for produce and wrapping paper.  Strange combo together but seriously it’s about all that I bought.  Many of you know that I’m doing Weight Watchers, (and in case you were wondering its going quite well) well last week they made some pretty large changes to their program and magically all fruit became zero points!!!  This is huge in the world of WW.  So this week I saved up our grocery budget and went to town on fresh produce.

Publix
Total Before Sales and Coupons: $106.72
Total Spent: $61.72
Total Saved: $45.00 or 42.2%

I know that’s not thrilling but to save $45 and mostly buy produce… that’s a good day in the grocery store!  Now if you come to visit you can have your pick of apples, clementines, blueberries or even some fresh green beans, squash, and zucchini.

Walgreens
Total Before Sales and Coupons: $23.90
Total Spent: $2.06
Total Saved: $21.84 or 91.3 %

This was all wrapping paper that I detailed out earlier today for you.  If you haven’t grabbed your free paper and tissue go now!

How did you do this week?  Leave a comment or a link to your savings post.

I did 6 transactions at Walgreens. Spent $12.00 Got tons of white tissue paper…and $18 back in Jingle Cash. I love free. Thanks.

I did the hallmark tissue paper deal twice last night successfully. Went back today and it was a no go! Guess “they” figured it out and stopped the RR from printing. Cashier said it was no longer printing for the wrapping paper either so I didn't bother trying.

        • NicoleGA

The RR wasn't printing for my wrapping paper today either, but the manager gave me a giftcard for $4 (my mother and I both bought some) since it wasn't printing!

    • Kelli

I've been so bad this week. haven't entered any of my receipts into my spread sheet. ahhh!!! I'll have to work on that tomorrow. I think that I spent around $9 for more than $250 worth of stuff form Rite Aid and I've been buying a bunch of the free almonds from CVS. pretty good week I guess.

Walgreens is such a hassle, so I usually avoid them, but the paper deals were too good to pass up. Tried to use the coupons for the wrapping paper, and the asst mgr said no deal, because it wasn't “Hallmark,” it was Walgreens paper made by Hallmark. I showed her where it said “a division of Hallmark” on the roll, she continued with the “it's not really Hallmark line.” I said the coupon says Hallmark, the roll says Hallmark, I should be able to use it. She said it's Walgreens paper. I asked her to show me on the roll where it said Walgreens, and she just stared at me, then finally said again she wouldn't take my coupons. Also, the Jingle cash for the tissue didn't ring up, and I did get 6. When I asked about it, she just stared at me again. I ended up leaving with nothing.

      • I just did the deal with 6 white tissue tonight and got the $5 RR. Used the in ad Q making them $2.

        • NicoleGA

I only got back a $2 RR yesterday and did the same exact thing you did…weird and disappointing!

Love Walgreen's. It all depends on the cashier you get. Mine love's coupons and encourages to come to her register when I am ready to check out. She enjoys seeing my savings as much as I do. I did like 8 transcations and went to another Walgreen's and my total was $50 after using my RR it came to $30 and I got back $15 Jingle Cash. I told my mom I am married to Walgreen's and cheating on him with CVS and Rite Aid…LOL

i like the friday finals… but a lot of the free deals are full of stuff that is weirdly unnecessary.

    • Mommysauls

went to wags and had $40.00 worth of jingle cash from black friday. (b/c i have a newborn and have gotten a little behind on organizing) lol well i went with no plan again , i had to take advantage of the toys for 9.99 but 4 off q! i got 3 toys a baby first christmas stocking && tons of RR items paid 10.00 got back 10.00 for spending of 50.00 before Q. && i got back some more RR . I think I am getting better at this slowly!

    • Rebecca

wooooo hoooooo!!! Just finally got my entertainment book at what I consider to be a “fair price”, $19.99 today, and cash back from ebates, w/ free shipping. Yippee!!! Won't be here in time for Christmas, but I can print some coupons from their website to use in the meantime.

    • Has anyone seen DURAFLAME FIRE LOGS on sale anywhere??
      Thanks!!!

    • Naqviazim

Sorry I am new here. Will any one tell me what is RR. How to get jingle cash.what is all this white paper about.

    • Christinelynnweigel

If you have an Aldi near you, it's a GREAT place for cheap (but good) produce!

    • Amy J.

      CVS
got 4 zhu zhu pets, one oral b vitality floss action tb, one azo.
before sales and coupons including tax $82.29
total spent OOP including tax $3.10
      saved $79.19 or 96.24%
since i paid for this w/ the “free” $5 CVS gift card, i guess i technically spent $0 oop and saved 100% !!!

      • Amy J.

Well I’m new to this coupon thing and it is driving me nuts in trying to figure it out. I thought I had it planned out this past Thursday when I went to Publix in Lexington sc. I had my coupons and come to find out they do not accept Target coupons and can only use 1 manufactures coupon per item. Can anyone give me tips on how you are saving these high percentages on your grocery visits? Thank you.
