      List 3! Oh yeah!

    • CCShad

      WOW!  Awesome list!

    • Tarac98

WOW! Wish I had a Harris Teeter near me!

    • Remember all the evic coupons you can combine with the other coupons I made a list and some are great deals

      • Sadly we all get different eVic coupons so it’s best to just log in and see what you have.

      • Marconett

i’m confused to evic coupons, is that considered a “store”coupon and then it can be combined w/ a manufacturer coupon. So if my manufacture coupon is $1, and the store coupon is $1, then the manufacture doubles, meaning the total is $3 off?

        • Laura

You are correct. The man will double and you can use the evic along with it, but the evic will not double. :)

    • Paughn

First day of this sale was today. Today! So I get there after 3pm and can you believe all of the deal items were gone!??! ALL of them. Shelves were cleared. I dont know why I bother.

      • cs

This sale doesn’t start until Wednesday morning

      • Tyedyemomma

        it doesnt start till tomorrow

      • **couponer

        It doesn’t start until 7 a.m. tomorrow…

      • Sarah Glanovsy

where do you live because in my state it doesnt start till 7 am tomorrow morning.

    • Anonymous

Jenny you are awesome, I know you hear this a lot but I gotta say it one more time, God bless you girl!!! thank you so much for doing this!

    • Yazpistachio

It would KILL me to make out three massive lists like these and not have a Harris Teeter to pillage. THANK YOU JENNY!!!!!!

    • staceu

so excited.  anyone figure out how to get that ocean spray Sparking coupon.  couldnt find it on FB.  Those things are great.

    • Raynerae

      2 questions…

      1. if i get there at 9 what are my chances of getting anything??? this will be my first time

      2. i know they only will double 20…. if you go beyond 20 do they double the firsy 20 or the lowest value coupons

      • Aly2kidsl8r

You will still get stuff. The free stuff just goes fast; it just depends on your HT.  They super double the first 20.

      • mamabelbel

Last time I went about 9 because I couldn’t do any better that day with the kids and I was fairly disappointed.  I think the first few days are pretty wiped out of the freebies and stuff that everyone uses like free dishsoap or napkins.  I found that if you can’t go really early for the first few days, it is best to take a backup list with items that are not quite as quickly wiped out like baby items or specialty items or items that aren’t free but you normally buy anyway.  Then you are getting deals on stuff you actually use regardless of whether or not they are free.  That is what really matters in the big picture anyway.  I have been able to find a lot of the items at the end of the sale week that I wasn’t able to find at the beginning. So it is worth it check back later.  As far as the coupons, you can use as many as you want.  Just hand them the 20 you want to double first and then hand them the rest when you know they all scanned.  Works for me.

        • Drkelly

and don’t forget, even if you can’t go later in the week to get the deals (or go and they are still out) get a rain check… the coupon gods (lol) will line up again, and there will be another coupon, and another Super Doubles, and you can make your own sale with the raincheck! and it’ll be there because only you have that raincheck :) (well you and whoever else got it last time, but believe me it will be MUCH less then everyone trying to get it during Super Double this week :) )

          • Drkelly

but yes, have a back up list, or two! I usually have my whole list for the week, ranked from most wanted, to least wanted, that way when something is out, i just keep moving down the list, and I am not disappointed because I am still walking out with stuff I A) wanted, and B) am getting a great sale on

      • Tam

At 9 they will probably be out of some stuff. My suggestion is to see when your store gets delliveries and go first thing the next morning.  This usually works best for me.

    • Suzy Rolman

      Am I missing something?
      Prego Sauce $1.67
0.75/2 (doubled would be 1.50/2–which would make it 0.75/1
      $1.67-0.75=0.92 not 0.17

      • Guest

The math forgot that you have to purchase 2 to use the coupon.

      • K.Hood60

The Prego is on a B1G1 sale for $1.67 cents, so that price is for two jars, minus the .75 doubled to 1.50 makes it .17cents!

    • Tracie

Thank you Jenny… I was afraid I was going to have to go into the store @ 6 am blindsided without my southern savers helper!  Thank you for all you do!

    • Tracie

Thank you Jenny… I was afraid I was going to have to go into the store @ 6 am blindsided without my southern savers helper!  Thank you for all you do!

    • Lauren

For the buy 2 get 3, can you still just purchase one to get the deal?

      • cd

No-you have to buy 2, to get the 3 if that’s the deal…..the traditional bogo will discount in half if you only get one, but the buy 2, get 3 & buy 3, get 2’s are different

      • Sara

no–you must buy 2 to get 3. for buy 1 get one, you can just buy 1 and have it ring half price.

    • Annie

can someone tell me where the Dr. Oetker Ristorante pizzas are located in the store?  I’ve never seen them but at that price I’m willing to look and try.  Are they frozen and with the other frozen pizzas?

      • heather

They are with the other frozen pizzas. My store has them right next to the Totinos pizzas in the very beginning of the case.  The mushroom ones are soooo yummy, you should try these out for sure:)

      • lisa

I have seen them on the end cap freezer section, with Amy’s products.  They are not with the pizzas.

    • Awiggins

Did anyone find the Ocean Spray coupon on FB?

      • Test

no i can’t find it either

    • Kelly

We double manufacturer’s coupons up to face value of $0.99; with total amount not to exceed $1.98 or entire retail of item; whichever is less.  I dont think the math is correct on the free items

      • Teresa

Harris Teeter is supposed do be doing super double thie week. So they will double up to 1.98 would be 3.96

      • Guest

That is the ‘normal’ policy, however for the week of 11/2-11/8 HT is running an ‘enhanced’ super doubles coupon promotion, during which time they will double coupons up to a $1.98 face value.  Any ‘normal’ day, a $1.50 coupon is only worth $1.50, but during an enhanced superdoubles promotion your $1.50 coupon will double to give $3 off of your item.  :-)

    • KP

Thank you so much!!!! I am trying to decide when I will go…first thing in the morning, or during my lunch break at work..but i’m kinda scared if I go on my lunch, I won’t find what I need…but there are 2 harris teeters 5 mins away from my job….soooo we will see, pending what time I get up in the morning LOL.

      • A.

        same here

    • Anonymous

There was a Smart Source printable coupon a while ago for $.55/2 dozen eggs that Jenny didn’t list. Mine doesn’t expire for another week.

      • Doctordj

yep, and combined with two $1off country crock coups(from Nov All You) and an e-vic coup for free eggs wyb 2 country crock makes 40 cents for 2dozen eggs and 2 tubs of butter!!!

        • Anonymous

How do you get your e-vic electronic coupons to activate? I looked on the site and couldn’t figure it out, though I’m pretty sure I’ve been signed up for a while.

          • Guest

I always access my evic coupons through the weekly emails – there is a button toward the top that says ‘evic coupons’ and if you click on it it takes you straight into your account to activate coupons.

            • Kerry72nc

I thought it was just me that couldn’t access them directly. I always keep an old HT email in my inbox and go to the evic q’s just the same..lol

    • Lopezshopping

Stupid question (as I’m guessing answer is NO) but… I always wondered… can Dreyer’s coupons be applied to Edy’s?  I always see the coupons or packaging and they look like the exact same ice cream minus the name itself (packaging is identical other than name).  Has anyone ever had any luck?  Lol!  Thanks for the reply.

      • Guest

No, coupons must be used on the specific brand and item listed on the coupon.  Using it on a different brand would be mis-use.

        • Lopezshopping

Thanks for the info… I kinda figured it had to be Edy’s and not Dreyers even though the branding was the same minus the name.  That’s why I never bought any coupons for the Dreyers brand at all since I see Edy’s here.  Appreciate the info.

      • Anonymous

Dreyer’s and Edy’s are the same company.  One is for west coast, the other for east coast (don’t ask me why they do it this way).  I’ve never tried using coupons for the west coast brand, since we don’t get those coupons here on the east coast.  I imagine they’d work.

        • Lopezshopping

Thanks for the clarification on the brands… I always wondered what the deal was, but now I understand (though like you, I don’t know why they do it that way either).  lol!  Why not just make them all either Edy’s (which I’d do) or Dreyers (which sounds like a Breyers wannabe).

    • KP

There are new evic coupons for .50 off of the coffeemates creamer and .55 off the nestle tollhouse dough! So if you have the coupons that will double with those, you’re looking at a possible freebie!!

      • Pinevalleyranch

KP, how does that work if you don’t mind explaining:)

    • KatieBug

Does anyone know if HT accepts Rite Aid coups (from Video Values)? Thanks!

      • Guest

No – generally the RA VV coupons are for money off of specific items, and HT does not accept that type of competitor’s coupon.  They will accept competitor’s coupons for ‘money off the total order’ and they will accept true manufacturer’s coupons that happen to have another store’s name on them.  However the RA VV coupons are not true manufacturer’s coupons since the barcode can only be recognized by RA’s store registers and since there is no address on the coupon for other stores to mail it in for reimbursement.

        • Guest

However, Bi-Lo may accept those types of competitor coupons if you have Bi-Lo in your area and if they consider RA to be a competitor.  Their competitor coupon policy is much more foregiving than HT’s.

      • DP

Yes- they accept competitor coupons but they will not double

Is the Paseo Tissue sold anywhere in NC that any one knows of?!? I was really hoping for the 1.74 for 12 rolls of tissue deal, as listed in List #2.

      • Towman7

Kp they had it close out price a week or so ago and i got it for 2.98 for the 12 pack

        • KP

ahhh so that means they ditched it?!?! CRAP lol. i was really gonna try to get 2 packs. Oh well, I will still keep the coupons incase I see the pack there tomorrow. But I looked in the express lane, and no Paseo tissue showed up. :(

          • Towman7

          • Kerry72nc

I know Bilo sells it and I got a good deal on it about a month ago. I didn’t know who sold it and kept getting q’s for it. You can keep an eye out there too. I was looking for the deal at HT :(

            • cd

KP- Charlotte (Tryon locale) has it- I’m getting 3 as soon as I walk in the door!

            • cd

And Tryon is out now! Grabbed the last one, literally.

      • Margoren

It was on sale last week but it is not on sale this coming week. You should double check your express lane.

    • AngD

Can someone please clarify for me, Does the Harris teeter internet coupon policy mean you can only use 2 internet couposn out of your 20 for the entire transaction? Thanks

      • klatime

“With the purchase of two like manufacturer’s products, we accept two internet coupons, per store, per day.” I dunno if this is the correct answer but I take it to say if you buy two of the same items, they will only accept 2 internet coupons, so you can buy more of the same item and use non-internet coupons, but only 2 internet coupons per day for the same product.

      • Towman7

AngD no it doesnt i have used up to10 before on a single transaction

      • KTA

        two per like item

        • AngD

          thanks, i’m still learning

      • Margoren

No, 2 like printable coupons. You can have 2 printables for cheerios, 2 for Minute Maid and so on…

    • Pixiedustlady

Can someone explain this?  We double up to three identical items with manufacturer coupon; additional coupons for like item will be honored at face value. Like items include all flavors.

Does it mean you only need one coupon for three of the same items?? I am new to this, sorry for the dumb question!

      • klatime

I take it to say, once again may be incorrect, but if you buy 3 identical items using 3 coupons, all 3 coupons will double, once you buy a 4th identical item and use a 4th alike coupon it will not double but only be used for the amount stated on the coupon.

      • Towman7

no you have to have a coupon for every item you purchase Pixie,no question is a dumb one unless you dont ask

      • Savn2gether

Klatime is right. You can get 3 of the same item and use coupons that will double. This helps to prevent someone from purchasing a lot of a single item. They will still allow you to buy more, but coupons for the fourth and additional items won’t double ( and won’t count as part of your 20 coupons that will double per day). :)

    • Towman7

when you have the evic coupon on your card can it only be us onetime? i know mine is always off when i get home if i used it.i am not sure if it will say take 1.00 off of the items if i have more than one of the same

      • KP

if u have an evic item on ur card more than once, it will all be taken off at that time. i once had two coupons for .75 off 2 trix yogurts, then I had my own paper coupon for .75 which doubled, so I ended up with $3 off the yogurt! but yes, they can only be used in one transaction. Hope I didnt confuse u any.

        • Towman7

i found it on the website just then All e-vic coupons are limited to one usage per transaction. If the coupon is still available, you may go back and re-add it to your account

    • Anonymous

The Sara Lee bread and Nestle pure life water coupons are no longer available.

      • Angelascoupons1

Bread coupons were in the newspaper too.

    • Melissa

My Garnier & Sarah Lee Bread coupons don’t start with a “5”, they start with a “0”….will they still double?

      • Chicagofan

I used the Garnier coupons today and they didn’t double although the coupon doesn’t state “Do not double.”  I pointed it out to the cashier and they manually doubled all of the Garnier coupons.  I’m not sure if that was right or not, but shouldn’t the coupon say “Do not double” if it’s not supposed to double?

      • Chicagofan

My Sara Lee bread coupon automatically doubled even though it says “Do not double.”  Didn’t catch that until I looked at the receipt later.

      • It should always double unless it starts with a “9”.

    • Sbigham3

I think there are a few more HT e coupons (ZVRs) for some of the P&G items making the total even less (maybe even free)?

      • Pinevalleyranch

How do the ecoupons work?  It’s a little confusing to me.

        • Guest

You ‘activate’ them in your evic coupon account, then when you purchase the correct qualifying item, the e-coupon is taken off automatically at the register.  You can also use regular manufacturer’s coupons for the item.

      • cd

There definitely are…some are moneymakers as the paper coupons make the item free/almost free, then the eVics are $1 and $2….the eVics overage will be applied the total :)

    • Andio1999

Does anyone know what time the Hillsboro, TN HT opens?

      • SWolfertz

6:00am but the doubles will not ring up until 7:00am

    • Itsmecrystald

Has anyone had any success with HT doubling competitor (Target?) coupons during SD?

      • Laura

        HT doesn’t take Target coupons.

        • cd

They will depending on the proximity to the store….my Target is directly across the street from HT so they honor as competitor store coupons :)

      • Anonymous

my HT would  not take target coupons lst time I tried. a couple ago. but its worth a shot

      • Itsmecrystald

        thanks!

    • Scorp1104

I am traveling through nc this weekend and am very excited to stop at HT with my coupons. Does anyone know if I can sign up for the VIC card at the store and use it that day? Please help!

      • Angelascoupons1

Not that day…it takes about a week.  Sorry!  If you have a relative in NC who has a card and is not planning to use it that day, you can give their phone number at the register and use their card.  But be sure they are not planning to use it for couponing b/c you can only double 20 coupons per day.

        • Gretchen

I signed up the day they had triples and was able to use my card the same day.  It just takes about a week for the e-vic to kick in.

        • Guest

Why would you tell people it takes a week?  That is incorrect.  You can walk up to customer service and tell them you need a card to shop and they will let you fill out the form and give you the card right then.  There is no wait.  They don’t want a potential new customer walking out of the store empty handed.

          • Angelascoupons1

But it is a week to do all the online registration.  You won’t get the weekly e-mails or e-vic specials right away.  I’m sorry…I probably wasn’t clear on that part.  She could have gotten a card, true – just not had all the electronic stuff activated that day.  Sorry for the confusion.  :(

      • Itsmecrystald

I signed up for mine at the store, got the card, and used it the same day.

      • Sara

yes-go to customer service first and sign up. your card will work even if you are not registered—but go ahead and fill the info out so you can use evic in the future.

      • Catherine

Sorry you can’t use it for a few days after you sign up online.

        • Catherine

Oh, sorry yes you can use your vic card right away, I was thinking evic coupons.

      • Aline

Yes you can use the card on that same day, but you have to register your card online to get e-vic promotions and that should apply for the next week’s e-vic deals. Do I make sense? Hope you have a great time in NC and shopping at HT :)

       Kettle Chips, 8-9 oz, at $3.69 ($1.84)
-$1 off Kettle baked potato chips, 4 oz, RP 9/25
-$1 off Kettle potato chips, 5 oz +, RP 9/25
      -.75/1 Krunchers Kettle chips, 9 oz +, SS 9/11
-$1 off Krunchers Kettle chips, 9 oz, SS 9/11
      (makes it FREE)
when something like the above is listed, do we need ALL of those 4 or just one?

      • guest

Or to add to my question – is it like we can use 4 to get 4 of them for free but if we have at least one of those, we can get one of the items? help pretty please, this will be my first time going to a super doubles!

        • Joy

Any of the 4 should work

        • luv2save

make sure when you go there that you are ready… Have a list of what you want- they only take 3 alike coupons so since they only double 20 a day, find 7 things you really want and use them. They are usually sold out of some things pretty quick so have 3 of each of a few more items ready to fill in if this happens. :)  Have fun. Getting 50 to 100 dollars worth of groceries is exciting. I love super doubles and triples.  Hope this helps!

        • EB

Different people get different values of coupons in their papers. Jenny’s database lists all the coupons that she is aware exist and she lists them all so you can check to see which one you might have.

      • Misty Treptau

you just need one. but look closely because sometimes only the highest coupon makes it free… good luck

      • Anonymous

she is just showing where all the coupons for that item is located. You only need 1 Q per item you are purchasing. i believe they will only double 3 like Q’s if i am correct

      • Dquin

just to let you know, kettle chips are a different brand than krunchers chips.

    • katiebug

Anyone know what time the ht in aberdeen, nc opens? Also, what time do they typically restock items?

      • Katie

Most open at or before 7 am. :) Truck days vary by store

    • garcia

How many items does an evic coupon cover????

      • Katie

        One

    • JL

Does anyone know how to get the ocean spray q can’t seem to find it on the facebook page that Jenny linked us to. Thanks. Thanks again to Jenny

    • Thesandiferfamily

So i need some clarification. Are you allowed to double eVIC coupons even though it says no doubling on the website? After looking through the lists it seemed as if i was reading you can double those? Thanks for the help!

      • Annwwins

The evic coupons don’t double but if you have a paper or internet coupon it doubles and then you take the amount of the evic coupon and combine both.

        • Thesandiferfamily

          Thanks!

      • Guest

Evic coupons do not double, they take off the exact amount that is stated.  you can, however, use your regular manufacturer’s coupons on the same item that you know an evic coupon is going to apply to.  And your regular manufacturer’s coupons will double according to the usual rules for doubling.

        • Thesandiferfamily

          Thanks!

    • Onethriftydiva

Perdue Fully Cooked Chicken, 25-30 oz, $7.49 -$1 off Perdue frozen fully cooked product, RP 10/23(makes it $6.49)

Unless coupon states do not double, price should be $5.49.

    • Amanda

I have a question about using internet coupons…so the HT coupon policy states “With the purchase of two like manufacturer’s products, we accept two internet coupons, per store, per day.” Does this mean that I can only use TWO INTERNET coupons out of the total of 20 coupons in one transaction?

      • Veronica

I use 2 per item @ the harris teeter I shop at–so if I have 4 items I can use 8 internet coupons.

        • Deezeetanyab

Veronica, are you saying you use 2 coupons per single item?  Amanda, they are saying that you can use one internet coupon per item and the max is 2 like coupons per purchase.  So if Ragu pasta sauce is B1G1 and you buy 2, you can use 2 internet coupons.  You can’t buy 3 or more, they limit you to 2.  If they are regular coupons, you can use 3.

        • Guest

You should not use more than 1 coupon on just 1 item.  Manufacturer’s coupons usually state ‘one coupon per purchase’ which means ‘one coupon per item’ meaning you cannot legitimately ‘stack’ multiple manufacturer’s coupons for the same item.

      • Guest

It means you can only use 2 of the ‘same’ internet coupon.  2 for cheerios, 2 for bagels, 2 for toilet paper, etc.  Instead of being limited to 3 like the ‘regular’ coupons, they are limited to 2.  That’s all.  You can use 20 internet coupons if you want as long as there are no more than 2 for identical items.

    • Kristy

I know on the B1G1 free deals if you only buy one then it rings at half price. I am assuming that on the B2G3 deals you have to by 5 total to get the item at the sale price?

      • Guest

yes w/ b2g3 you generally have to buy all 5 – normally the first 2 ring up full price and the last 3 are taken off free.

    • S.B.

Anyone in Raleigh or Cary, NC? Looking for someone to trade coupons. Usually Shop at Western Blvd, Cameron Village or Tryon Rd Harris Teeters.

      • Lauramichelledriscoll

I’m in Raleigh.  What are you looking for?

        • I’m in Clayton, but usually shop at Cameron Village or Fuquay store -went to Fuquay this morning and most everything was still there but starting to empty!!

    • K.Hood60

**Mistake on Sara Lee bread coupon**!! The coupon in the RP 10/23 Can NOT be doubled!! Just a heads up…still a good deal at .84 cents a loaf. B1G1 @ $2.79 (1.39) minus .55 cents on each!

      • Lauramichelledriscoll

Mine doubled just fine this morning.  Why can’t they be doubled?

        • My cashier caught that too. She did not double my bread Q. It states on the top of the coupon DO NOT DOUBLE.

          • Steph7785

My cashier this morning saw that and said “I’m going to double it anyway for you” – I had actually just forgotten to look myself so it was an honest mistake, but a nice result!

      • Kristinscoupons82

        mine doubled this morning

      • Anonymous

Does the machine stop it from doubling, or the cashier?

        • HT scanners don’t recognize the “Do Not Double or Triple” statement (unless the bar code starts with a “9”.  If starts with a “5”, you will be fine….unless the cashiers have been trained to look for the coupons with a “5” that say “DND”.  More often than not, the cashier doesn’t do it.

        • tgirl

not the ones that starts with 5.

      • It depends on your HT, as to whether or not they double.  At my store, if the computer doesn’t beep, the cashier doesn’t check it.  There are stores (usually in more rural areas) where the cashiers are required to check every single coupon.  I avoid those.  :)

    • Tardy12

Tic Tacs are on sale for .99 …used the $1/2 q makes them Free!

The manager at harris teeter said that they are going to start putting a 30 day exp. date on rain checks because people are waiting until supper doubles or tiple to use them.

      • That is one guy and customer service said that they won’t be doing that and don’t expect to.

    • Hingleytrio

I bout 4 cans of almonds and 4 boxes of the blue diamond thins.  No catalinas printed. My store is good at honoring mistakes and I plan on bringing in my receipt, but I don’t know how to “prove” I should have earned them.  Is there anything on the site?

      • Hingleytrio

        bought**

        • Lauramichelledriscoll

I don’t know about how to get them to honor the mistake, but what I can tell you is that you only earn one catalina per transaction.  So it would have only printed one $4 off next purchase catalina.  I learned that the hard way.  But then I bought 4 things seperately, and I got a catalina each time.  Used 5 this morning at super doubles and saved an extra $20.

      • amy

I bought 2 almonds and 2 nut thins and got $4.00 off my next order catalina.
offer states 4 or more and get $4.00 off next order
I am going to save my other two sets of coupons and try again the next two days.

      • Towman7

if you find out how to do that let me know i will do the same cause mine didnt print either.i bought 4 cans of the almonds. i didnt think about it till i was on my home and i had cold stuff so i couldnt go back.

      • I’ve been twice this week in Charlotte (once before Super Doubles and once this morning).  I got a $.75 off catalina for buying 2 BD almonds today and a $.75 off catalina for buying 2 BD Nut Thins earlier this week.  The $4 off catalina should have printed for you – it usually just depends on how nice the customer service manager is, as to whether or not they will print them when you go back.

      • Santee97

The catalina printed for me this morning and states the conditions on it.  It runs until 11/6.

    • amy

Wolfgang Puck Spaghetti Sauce, 16 oz, $2 -$1 off Wolfgang Puck sauces, SS 10/09(makes it FREE)I also got a catalina of $1.50 off my next order for buying 2 wofgang puck sauce.
      Nice money making suprise!!
catalina states offer between 10/31 to 11/27–buy one get 75 cents off, two or more $1.50 off your next shopping order.

      • amy

There is also a $1.00 off of 2 on e-vic coupons.  So you can make $2.50 off of buying two jars of this sauce and the sauce is free as well. Yea.

      • amy

There is also a $1.00 off of 2 on e-vic coupons.  So you can make $2.50 off of buying two jars of this sauce and the sauce is free as well. Yea.

    • Debbi

I had my best coupon deal ever. Got to HT at 5AM. They starting ringing out at 6AM so I was home by 7AM (20 mile drive). My coupons added up to $97.60. I bought a ton of stuff for only $11.58 which does not include a $3 rebate I’ll get on the Lysol Dual Wipes. My HT took all of my Food Lion Catalinas as well as all of my Walgreen’s RR. Thank you Jenny ! I plan on another trip before the Super Doubles end.

      • Linds..:o)

Wow!  Congrats on your Good Luck with your HT!  Where would this store be?  All of the HT’s around me are starting to be as unpredictable and aggravating as the WalMarts.  Making the rules up as they go and accepting certain coupons one day and not the next.  Surprisingly for me, I’m not even planning a Super Doubles trip!

        • Debbi

I go to the HT in Fayetteville, NC. I was surprised they took my Walgreen RR. They were crazy busy so the cashier didn’t even look at them. The manager did have to over-ride a few items in which my coupon was more than the item but other than that, it all went smoothly and well worth the trip.

    • Jane

Can somebody explain the Chex scenario to me?  I planned to buy two boxes, with the $1.10/2 Q and the $1/2 E-vic.  When I got to the store there was a tag saying that there was a General Mills cereal deal where you buy 2, you get one free, and beneath that was the expected 2/$5 tag (all one piece).  I looked for a disclaimer or something to say my E-vic wouldn’t work, and figured that $1.80 for 3 boxes of cereal was even better than $1.80 for two.
When I checked out, everything worked as expected, but the third box was not free – I ended up paying the full $2.50 on that.  How was that supposed to work?  Does the E-Vic Q negate the buy two get one free deal?

      • Nerrad

I got this same Chex cereal deal at my Gastonia, NC,  HT this morning. Shelf tag said on sale 2/$5 in addition to the unexpected eVic buy 2 get one free promotion.  All three boxes rang up $2.50 each with nothing FREE.  The CSM verified the shelf tag and did a manual override to $.00 for the price of the 3rd box.  So the net price for all three boxes was $2 ~ $5/3 boxes minus $1 paper Q doubled to $2 and a $1 electronic Q.  Great deal for making Holiday Chex Mix!!

        • Jane

Thanks!  I’ll go back this afternoon.

      • I’m in Charlotte.  I think they put that sign up by accident or it just isn’t showing up in the computers.  I did the same.  I am going to take mine extra box back, check the sign again, and return it if the 3rd box isn’t free.  Sometimes the computers just don’t get all of the sale prices entered in.

      • Mary

Mine rang up beautifully in Charleston!  I was worried about the third box, so I said something to the cashier about expecting it to ring up for free (so if it didn’t, I could take it off right away).  The first two rang up as $2.50 and the third rang up as free!  My $1 e-vic came off, and my $1 Q scanned and doubled, so I got three boxes for $2.  I’m very thrilled with that!

        • So, I went back this afternoon with my Chex cereal (and some blueberries that didn’t ring up at half price).  We checked the sign and it definitely is Buy 2, Get 1 Free (so in HT’s pricing style, they should be $1.67 ea.) before any coupons.  Always take it back – HT’s policy is to refund you the full amount for incorrect pricing.  So, I got back $7.49 between the Chex and the blueberries.  Definitely worth it.

          • Jello_2001

so on the receipt itself how should the Chex cereal ring up?

            • Jello_2001

              The corn chex ring up:
              PC 3.49 B
              Vic savings .99-B
              Price You Pay 2.50

              2@ 3.49 Rice Chex PC 6.98B
              2@.99
              Vic Savings 1.98-B
Price you Pay for 2    5.00

So it seems to me that I may have paid $7.50 for the 3 boxes as opposed to 2 for $5 and one free.

Is this correct in that I was wrongly charged?  Now what do I need to do in order to get my $$ back??  I love this policy and did not realize Ingles and Harris Teeter gave you full price back when they make this type of mistake.

              Thanks for any help.

            • That’s how mine rang up originally.  It should be:

$1.67 per box (HT’s way of ringing up B2G1).

              With the coupons I had:

$1/2 Chex Cereal (MQ – doubled to $2)
              $1/2 Chex Cereal (eCoupon)

              So, $5 – $3 in q’s = $2 (or $0.67 per box).

If you take it back and argue your case, show them the sign, they will fully refund you $2.50 for one box.  Hope that makes sense.  The signs were very clear and they agreed after I showed them that it just wasn’t right in the computer.

            • Jello_2001

Thanks for the reply Kristen!  That sounds great.  I called HT customer service yesterday because I get the emails but for some reason when I try to upload the eCoupons, it doesnt recognize my email address.  But…it was still a good deal nonetheless and now even better w/ the $2.50 refund.  :<)

    • Debbi

Jenny, your list shows 45 oz. Ragu at $2.19 but I have my receipt here and it’s $3.65. I was charged $3.65 for 2 of them and the other 3 were free.

      • Annie

At my store the Ragu were $3.99/EA (rediculous markup!).  I have coupons, just not the ones for the sale items, so not really a good deal for me (for ex. the 64 oz. Welch’s juice and the Minute Maid OJ).  Without the sales, the prices are just too high even with the double coupons.  I spent more than I cared to admit on this trip .  My fault…no self control.  I’m done for this week.

        • Debbi

I totally agree Annie, without the sales and coupons, many items would just be too expensive for me to buy. I love the store but it’s easy to get carried away especially in the deli and bakery sections where you seldom get coupons but everything always looks and smells so good !

      • There are 2 different prices for the Ragu:

26 oz. jars were on sale for $2.25 ea. (maybe $2.19 at other stores)

45 oz. jars are B2G3 Free (pay $3.65 for the jars – makes it $1.44 ea. for 5 jars)

        • Debbi

Thanx Kirsten, I didn’t know the 26 oz Ragu jars were also on sale. The signs weren’t out yet since I went at 5AM.

          • If you have a store near you that offers online shopping, you can always check there.  I usually check online for my store every time I make a list – that way, if something doesn’t ring up right, then I know I’m arguing for the correct price.  :)

    • Debbi

To clarify I was charged $3.65 each for 2 Ragu (total $7.30), then 3 free. Still a good deal.

    • Debbi

To clarify I was charged $3.65 each for 2 Ragu (total $7.30), then 3 free. Still a good deal.

    • Cheyennecooley

$1.50 off your next shopping order when you buy two wolfgang puck pasta saucecs! Thats a money maker speaking they are free with the dollar coupon from past insertss.

      • Tamra

Or .75 cents for one jar. Heads up on the $1.50. It’s for two or more jars. So if you have more than two coupons, seperate your transactions!

      • Ctrinkle

I also had a evic coupon online if I bought 2 for $1 off.  The $1.50 catalina was a bonus.  Yea!

    • pamgam

How is the prego sauce .17 cents?  If you use a 72/2 coupons would double to $1.50 off.  The sauce is $1.67 each.  You have to purchase 2 making it $3.34.  $3.34 – $1.50 equals $1.84.  This would make .92 each.  How do you get .17 cents?  Am I missing something?

      • Jessnorton79

This is the exact same question I have.  My math is the same as yours.  I kind of wondered if I was missing something too.

        • K.Hood60

Yup, ya’ll got your math right…just a mistake on the site…I paid .92 each

      • Jessnorton79

I guess as long as we know the coupon doubles to $1.50, then our math has to be correct.  It could just be a mistake on the website.

    • Jessnorton79

I  need help, please!  The math isn’t adding up for me.  The Prego sauce, if it’s on sale for $1.67 and you use the .75/2 coupon.  Then buying two would be 3.34 minus the doubled coupon at $1.50.  That total would be $1.84.  Wouldn’t that mean the cost is $1.84/2 = .92 cents per jar, not .17 cents per jar?

      • K.Hood60

Yeah, I think you are right…I have to check my receipt, but that’s what I came up with too…hmmm…still not a bad price. When I asked the lady to check what the sale was..it’s not a B1G1, but 3 for $5.00..

    • Angelascoupons1

Two stores…spend $32 for $155 (savings of 80%)!  I am quite pleased.  My only real issue was that the Dole fruit bites were not on sale as listed for $2.50.  I understand that mistakes happen…was just looking forward to cheap bites!  :)

    • Jessnorton79

Just want to point out that the Sara Lee Bread coupon says Do Not Double or Triple on it.  So, instead of the final cost being .29 cents per loaf, that would make it $1.12 per loaf.  ONe is $2.79.  $2.79 – .55/1 coupon = $2.24.  $2.24/2 = $1.12 per loaf, which is still a good deal.

      • Eliza

My Harris Teeter (Raleigh NC) will often double coupons that say “Do Not Double”.

        • Edliving2

I used that coupon this morning and it did not double.

      • Goodkristen

mine doubled just fine this morning on the bread

      • K.Hood60

I posted that last night too…about the Sara Lee coupon not doubling..but when I got there this morning they did double! When I pointed out the “mistake” to the cashier he said, we’ll double it anyway??? So I did get the posted price..weird, but  hey as long as I pointed it out, and they gave it to anyway..who am I to argue!

      • K.Hood60

Oh, and the Sara Lee is a B1G1 so it’s as Jenny wrote it..$2.79 or $1.39 each…and then it’s either .55 off or 1.10 if they double it like my store did!

      • Anonymous

There were coupons at the Walmart site you can print, don’t know if they are still available, but they did not say do not double.

        • Anonymous

if you go to the coupon database and put in sara lee the link to the coupons is still avaialble

      • couponingBML

Yeah mine did not double but my fave manager just automatically manually doubled them without me even asking (I was at self checkout).

    • Goodkristen

awesome trip this morning at 7:45- 3 smart milk, 3 loaves of bread, 6 packs of gum, 2 boxes of dog treats, 2 febreze products, 2 blue almond nuts, 2 blue almond crackers, 2 paper plates, 2 tubs of butter, 3 wolfgang puck pasta sauces.  Heads up-I got a catalina when I bought 3 wolfgang puck pasta sauces for $1.50 off my next purchase-even better than free  After my catalinas from blue almond and wolfgang puck I spent $.50 :) worth the trip!!!  The gum only includes the blue vitality trident packs of gum according to my store.

      • Towman7

my catalina didnt print for the nuts and i forgot to say anything about it ugh!

    • Jessnorton79

The Ballpark products coupon for the buns from rp 10/16 says Do Not Double or Triple on it.  So, it would NOT be $1.50 off.  It would still only be .75 cents off of 2 bags of buns.  So, $1.99 x 2 packs = 3.98 – .75 = $3.23/2 = 1.615 ($1.62) per bag of buns.

      • Goodkristen

many ht will double coupons even if they say do not double

the key is to see if the bar code starts with a 5 on the actual coupon-if it does, they will automatically double

    • Eliza

      Do e-vic coupons double?

      • pamgam

        No they do not double.

        • Nope, but you can stack them with your manufacturer coupons.

          • Nc1031

I notice that Jenny doesn’t have some of the ecoupons listed, ie: the Tide $2/1 Ecoupon and the $1/1 Always Infinity Ecoupon. Is there something I’m missing or will those work together with the $2/1 manuf. for Tide and the $1/1 manuf for always

            • Always check your eCoupons.  Occasionally, you may have extras not listed or may not have some that others have.  For the most part, 90% of them are the same for everyone.

    • Karenpen21

I received a 10 off 50 from recycle bank. Can I use before coupons?

      • Goodkristen

i have in the past before several times. should be okay. :)

        • Sarahoconnor

It says on the coupon “After all coupons”.  Would be nice, but it has to be used after.

      • Ctrinkle

My store won’t let you – only after all your coupons so I would check with your store.

      • Ctrinkle

My store won’t let you – only after all your coupons so I would check with your store.

      • Mary

Last time I had one a few months ago, my store let me use it before coupons.  Today, they would not.  It says on the coupon that it is to be used after all discounts, so I will count myself lucky that I was able to use it the previous time.

    • racecitymom

Went to HT this am & my coupons WOULD NOT DOUBLE!!! They accused me of going to another store before I came there. I SWEAR I had not!! It was about 8am. This happened to me last time they did super doubles but that time I was there at 7:10am. I am so frustrated!!!

      • racecitymom

Last time the mng. tried ringing them up a second time & then my coupons doubled…

      • EB

I guess it is possible that someone else is using your phone number to get the deals. I would call their customer service and see if they can tell you what store it was used at – if it is not the one you were at then maybe they have a solution to someone fraudulently using your card – maybe they can cancel it and give you a new one using your cell phone number or something.

      • CouponFairy

Last time this happened to me it was because the cashier I used had been there working overnight and she didn’t log off her register and re-log on at 7am so that her system would update the prices and double coupons.

        • Lauren Runyan

I think that must of been what happened to me this morning around 7:15.  I had to go to another register and have everything scanned again.  But at least I got my coupons to work:)

      • guest

That happened to me once and it turned out the register hadn’t been reset at 7am.

I just learned this from a friend of mine who went this morning to harris teeter “(Any coupon that begins in 0, (the far left and is small), they do not double. For example, I purchased Fructis shampoo. That coupon begins with the 0 and does not double. They told me this today and the coupon didn’t have “Do Not Double” on it)”
has any one heard that before?

    • Went to the HT in Fuqauy this AM and able to get pretty much everything that was on my list before it ran out.  The Chinet paper plates did not have the “sale” tag on them, and there were tons of them, but I took to register and they rang up for $1.86 – so that makes them free!!!  Don’t miss out – they are on sale just not tagged.

    • Nerrad

Hey guys ~ watch your Granier haircare Q’s at HT…  I had 2 $1/1 for shampoo/conditioner Q’s and 2 $1/1 for hair styler Q’s.  I bought 2 shampoos and 2 sprays and none of them doubled.  The coupons do NOT state “DO NOT DOUBLE.”  The manager blamed it on the type of bar code used on the coupon. (it looked normal to me and none started with the dreaded “5”))  I suggested it was the HT software systemissue as all the Q’s were obtained in the local Sunday paper.  After messing around with the coupon for a few minutes, he finally did a manual override and doubled the Q’s.  Net pice for each product $2.99 minus $1 Q + $1 double Q = $.99 each.

      • Amber

I had the same thing happen to me! My cashier didn’t catch it but I did as soon as she scanned it and noticed it didn’t double. I double checked it to make sure it didn’t say Do Not Double and it didn’t! My cashier was really nice and immediately called a manager over who looked it over one good time and over-rode it. The poor lady looked so tired, I’m assuming from the massive coupon usage/problems today, so I made it a point to thank her and wish her good luck for the rest of her day!

the 5 at the beginning usually means it DOES double…and it doesn’t have it…I didn’t get to try mine this morning because I already had my 20 double coupons limit…but will see what happens Sat. when I make my second trip.

      • Jhawk963

Reading this too late……..these have to be the 2 coupons of mine that didn’t double.  She had to scan them with the hand scanner……a little bummed, but I’ll get over it.

    • Soniac803

I purchased the Trident Vitality gum. I was charged regular price for the orange pack and green pack. So no free gum. I will return the gum tomorrow.

      • racecitymom

They told me that there was NO gum on sale.

      • Edliving2

I got the blue back (Awaken Flavor) that was on sale.

      • Grammy

It wasn’t on sale at my stores either.  Looks like it was last week but not this week.

      • Nerrad

Trident Vitality (blue pack) was BOGO at my HT ~ got 6 FREE packs as well as 6 FREE Tic Tac’s

      • Suzi

at my store the only one on sale was the blue one because it was on clearance.

    • MomOf4

Heads up, the Revlon nail clippers are at the check out, not in the make up aisle!

      • Amber

I was wondering where they were! Thanks for the heads up! Gonna scope out the check-outs tomorrow when I go back!

Does the $4 off catalina print for the nuts and the nut-thins? $4 each? in Charlotte?

      • CouponKing

Yes they do but you can only do one in each transaction.

      • I’ve been twice this week in Ballantyne (once before Super Doubles and once this morning).  I got a $.75 off catalina for buying 2 BD almonds today and a $.75 off catalina for buying 2 BD Nut Thins earlier this week.  The $4 off catalina should print for you.

      • Grammy

You have to do 2 transactions.  The catalina states if you buy 4 or more you get the $4.  You will lose out if you do it all in 1 transaction.

      • Grammy

I just realized – that if you are talking about buying 2 nuts and 2 nut thins, then yes it will print out.  What I did was bought 4 nuts and then went to another store and bought 4 nut things so I was able to get 2 catalinas that way.

        • Mt Cabingirl

I bought 1 nut about 15 years ago.  I call him my husband.  Really enjoyed your post.

      • Ctrinkle

I bought 2 of the nut thins and 2 of the almonds and received a $4 catalina.

      • Kerry72nc

yes, the deal ends today 11/2.

        • Lori

My cat that printed out tonight says it is good until 11/6, in N. VA

Can CVS ECB’s be used at HT?

      • Katie

It depends on the store. The one right down the road from me will not but the one 20 minutes away will.

      • Katie

It depends on the store. The one right down the road from me will not but the one 20 minutes away will.

    • Christina

i think our “famous” couponer in town gets a special deal to go in the night before and put what she wants in the cart for the following morning…i was number 1 in the store this morning (not lots of people today) made it to the dairy section before anyone and shelves were cleared already!? AND someone HID the bestlife butter behind another brand…must have thought us couponers were stupid! i am used to looking high and low for “hidden” items…its just what i do! anyways, hope ol’ girl gets her butter on the next round….=)

      • Jeenywoot234

Really?  People HIDE grocery items?  Thankfully, I have not encountered that.  Hiding items so that other people cannot have equal access is dishonest and, quite frankly, insane.  Some of these people might need to step away from the coupons for a second and re-evaluate themselves.  Shame on people for going way too far in order to get the best deal possible, and deny others that same “right”.

        • Cheryl

          Calling Dr. Phil!

      • K.Hood60

Such a shame that people go to such extremes when we are all just trying to care for our families and save money. Selfish is as selfish does I guess. sigh

      • Torresdiana1979

That is so sad. I’m glad you mentioned it I would have never though to look around. I was able to purchase the last 2 best life butter. :- ) Got there on time I guess.

      • tgirl

        lol!you are funny

    • couponqueenintraining

Does anyone have a zip code for Smart Balance milk, other than the one listed above?

      Thanks in advance!

      • Jello_2001

The coupon states do not double and they were checking closely at my store.  It is still a good deal, but I gave away my coupons at the store because my dh doesnt drink anything less than whole and without doubling the coupon not worth my effort to disguise it among other milk for the boys.

      • Try 85282 or 30303.

    • Anonymous

Bought 2 Wolfgang Puck sauces and received a $1.50 catalina plus the $4 catalina this morning. My total was $11. 64, cant wait to spend my $5.50 tomorrow.

      • Kerry72nc

I bought 2 of the sauces and not catalina printed. I guess I’ll see if I can return them and ring them back up at another register. Those machines are not always checked and gets frustrating. I had to do this similar scenario yeserday when my catalina for the Blue Diamonds didn’t come up. It worked fine on the register.

        • Melissa

You didn’t get a catalina for the Blue Diamond either? I had some ads print out, so I figured everything was okay. How do I get mine? If I return them I don’t get my coupons back. Where is the info for the catalina so I can bring it to customer service at my store? Thanks!

      • K.Hood60

I didn’t get any catalinas this morning…wonder how come? hmmmm

    • 28086

My Harris Teeter had the Chips Ahoy Oatmeal Cookies on clearance for 2.49.  I used the
like face book coupon for 1.00 and doubled.   Cookies for .49 cents, not bad.

    • Cclary1984

I just went to HT and got some good deals spend almost 70 dollars worth of groceries and only pay 32 dollars. Feel proud of myself cause I don’t usally do this. Love Super Double.

    • Kerry72nc

The Dole Fruit bites weren’t on sale in my store in Charlotte :(

    • katluv

HT has a lot of candy on clearance when you enter the store.  If you haven’t used the $1.50 off a bag of any Mars product (one 9.4oz bag or bigger), you can get a good deal.. I purchased a 22 oz bag of fun size Snickers for 50 cents.  I went to two HT’s today, one still had a lot to choose from while the other was about out.

    • Guest

About the catalina for the BD nuts and nut-thins… if I buy a total of 4, I will get a catalina coupon for $4? When does that end?

      • melissa

I would love to know details on this. I got 4 of the Nut Thins and 4 Blue Diamond nuts and didn’t get either catalina. Where do I get info? I still have my receipt so I would hope the store would give it to me anyway… I just assumed it would print automatically, but no.

        • Ginamity

it should have printed automatically.  each four has to be purchased in separate transactions, and you have to use your vic card.  i did this deal 4 times last week.

          • guest

I have done the Blue Diamond deal a couple of times and had to ask for the catalina each time.

          • Carriecoups

Do you know if you can mix and match?

            • Preston

you can mix and match..I got 2 cans of almonds and 2 nut thins and got the $4 off Catalina!

        • They are supposed to print automatically.  It is up to your Customer Service Manager whether or not they print them for you if you go back and ask them about it.  I bought 2 BD Nut Thins this weekend and got a .75 catalina.  I bought 2 BD almonds today and got a .75 catalina again.  I wish I had realized I had both coupons and I would have bought them together and then gotten a $4 catalina.  I’ll take free money any day though.

        • Katie B.

I have purchased items expecting a catalina, only to discover that I am at a register whose catalina machine is “down”.  They certainly don’t advertize that it’s broken, of course, it’s worth asking if that could have happened:)

      • Hahasowhat

Yes, and the promotion for the blue diamond ends on 11/6.

    • tryn2sav

Hi, does anyone knows if a catalina MFR coupon will double? Thanks

      • Teresa

        It will NOT double.

    • Katie

Is there any reason the activia coupon would not double?

      • Joy

Same thing happened with my Activia coupon?!

        • Katie

Very odd, I found a picture of it online (someone is selling on ebay) and there is no DND. It has two bar codes it looks like. One starts with 5 and the other with 0. I’m going to print this out and take it back to the store and see if I can get my $3 back.

          • Katie

            Got my $$ back!!

    • Amber

Just left my Suffolk, VA HT and I gotta say I’m pleasantly suprised at how many good deals I was still able to get! Between a toddler and a full-time 9:00 to 5:00 I wasn’t able to make it to the store @ like 8:00 am like some people can so I had to go on my lunch break. Of course some shelves had been cleared but that’s to be expected! I saw a lady looking at the same Folders coffee I was looking at which was on sale for $8.99 (normally $12.49) which I had a $1 off coupon for. I grabbed mine and noticed the other lady hesitating so I politely asked if she would like one of my $1 coupons I had and she very thankfully accepted! Not all of us couponers are crazy and hopefully people will start to see that!

      • Debbi

That’s great, Amber. It’s so nice to find another good couponer that shares. I met a lady at HT this morning. We traded envelopes of our unwanted coupons. Never met her before but it was neat we just struck up a conversation and shared. I did the same thing last time that you did….when Bounty napkins were on sale at HT during Super Doubles, I had 3 coupons, there were only 3 packages left but I gave one to another lady right behind me. Last week I gave my $1.50 coupons to a guy buying  Star Bucks coffee (coupon was expiring the next day). He seemed surprised but thankful.

        • K.Hood60

Very cool Debbi…I actually find myself looking at what others are buying and offering coupons to them! They are usually very surprised and grateful…I hate to see anyone spend more than they have to! LOL

    • MissErica

Okay! My HT trip was a 50/50 Experience. When i arrives (7am) they were already out of some things. That was very strange. Anyway, here’s what i got ( Fiance used his card on a separate order)
Minute rice singles, 6 dawn detergent, 2 regina vinegar,2 muir tomatoes, 2 Protein bars, 2 Garnier, 2 Sara Lee Honey wheat bread, 6 sara Lee pound cake,3 Yoplait Kids multi packs, 4 smart balance, 2 coffe mate naturals, 2Bags of Kettle chips THESE WERE B1G1 use 2 -1.00 off coupons that double and they are Free. 1 Lactaid,2 Febreeze, 2Hidden Valley Salad kits. Grand Total: 27.44
P.S. My Garnier Did NOT double. Im pretty mad about that……Other than that, i am happy with the experience. This was my first time shopping at Harris Teeter. I just got my Vic card today, therefore I was not able to Use the E-Vic coupons, and I had to pay 1.00 for the febreeze. :-(

      • K.Hood60

HT will only double up to 20 coupons, so maybe you went over and that’s why the Garnier didn’t double. That is what happened to me today…but I just took them out of my purchase, and will get them later in the week.

      • Loribaddeley

My garnier did not double either but I had a manager come over. She put it through since the coupon in fact should have doubled

      • Chicagofan

Mine didn’t double either so I pointed it out to the cashier, and they took it off manually.  The coupons don’t say” Do not double” and I used less than 20 coupon so I don’t know why they didn’t automatically double.

    • Jmgregory_99

Something interesting I’ve noticed at my local HT stores with doubling coupons.  HT has always doubled up to the cost of the item.  However I bought some Mariani Dried Fruit last week and the overage on the pineapple ($1.33 each and .75Q (.22 each) was applied to the cost of the Blueberries which were $1.00 higher than the pineapple.  Noticed the same today with Kettle Chips. Two $1.00 Q’s double to $2.00 each and one only went to .53.  I suspect had I bought one more bag without a Q, the overage may have been given on the extra bag.

      • Bridget

That is because the Kettle chips are bogo. The computer lumps all bogo items of the same kind into one group instead of looking at them as single items. This is why all bogo discounts also come off at the end of the transaction, unlike other sales which show the sale price right when they are scanned. Because the computer considers the bogo items as one amount, it allows coupon value to roll into the next of the same item. You are right that if you had a 3rd bag of chips that the 2nd coupon would have doubled to the full amount and gone to that one. The only downside is that sometimes you end up unable to use a 3rd coupon on 3 like bogo items, because you end up with a 3rd coupon that has a higher face value than what remains of the total bogo amount. In those cases, it is better just to get 2 items at a time.

        • Anonymous

Bridget, I consider myself a pretty savvy shopper at HT and did not understand this point.  This happened to me this morning.  From what you are saying, I could have gotten 6 items instead of the 3 that I got since the manager had to overide and not double my Qs just to get them to go through.  Great info!

    • Lauramichelledriscoll

Anyone know when Harris Teeter gets another shipment during the week?  There were a couple things I missed out on this morning, and I’d like to try to go when the next shipment comes in.

      • MissErica

An associate told me that they restock on Thursday evenings. Idk if that’s the case everywhere….

        • Lauramichelledriscoll

Thanks.  I’ll try to ask the manager at my store, but he was no help this morning.  They were out of the 64 oz snapple (I ordered coupons on ebay to feed my addiction) and I asked if they would get more today, his answer, “I don’t know”.  Gee, thanks for your help.

          • K.Hood60

Wow Laura…not very professional. You may want to ask a clerk the next time. The lady who helped me today was stocking shelves, but took the time to check some prices and tell when their next shipment would be in,  and I would probably send an email to corp. about the manager’s attitude.

          • Sara

just fyi, sometimes they don’t really know. I replied above about the “allocations” an employee explained this to me (see above) but I think it is only for specialty sort of items—you would think snapple would be easy to supply.

          • Kouponkatrina

Gosh, he wasn’t very helpful was he? Hopefully he was just having a bad morning. If you want Snapple and they’re out of it, try going to customer service and ask them to order it. I did this on Monday with the Seattle’s Best Latte 4 packs because my store is always out of it. It came in on Tuesday and I picked it up Wed morning. I was surprised at how easy and quick it was.

      • K.Hood60

An employee at the HT here said they come every other night, so here it was Tues., Thurs., Sat. I’m not sure if they are all the same though.

      • Sara

it depends on what you need. my ht was out of 8th continent soy milk and smart balance milk—these are supplied to them in allocations so they are unsure of when they will get more. everything else though sounds like it does come every other tues, thurs, sat

    • mightymousemom

Great trip to Harris Teeter today, saved $107 and spent $57. I got some normally pricey items like Splenda on sale for $6.99 with doubled $1.00 off Q.  My favorites were the Dawn Dish Detergent with $.50 off Qs, but with the .50 EVIC Q, it’s a money maker.  I managed to get the Wolfgang Puck Pasta Sauce Free w/.75 off Catalina  for another mm.  Also, I love the $1.00 off any Crest Q in the P & G Insert. I use these to get their Crest Kids Toothpaste, price $3.99, – $2.00 plus – $1.00 EVIC Q, makes it 99 cents, not bad for kids toothpaste.   Hope everyone else had fun :-) Thanks Jenny!

    • Amiecartwright30

I noticed that there is also a $2.00 off eCoupon for the Tide 100 oz detergent so it ends up only being $8.99.

    • mom2mnm

I just returned from HT here in VA and none of the feminine products were on sale.  Wondering if they weren’t marked yet or if they’re just not on sale.  Bummed.  Had a bunch of coupons for them…

      • K.Hood60

They were really behind on changing sales signs at my HT today…I had to ask one clerk to check several prices for me….never be afraid to ask someone!

        • Mom2mnm

Thanks everyone for your input. I’ll check the aisle again after they post the weekend sales : )

      • Jlyngerber

The HBA aisle seems to be the last aisle that gets the proper price tags. I took 2 old spice deodorants to customer service to have them price checked. The tags on the shelf weren’t updated to show the sale price.  My husband will only use the Sweat Defense line of Old Spice.

      • If your store (or a store near yours) offers online shopping, you can check the price on there at 3PM the day before the new ad starts.  That way you know when you go in what the price should be, even if it isn’t marked.

    • Barre

Went to HT this morning, made sure I got there super early to get everything I needed.  My total before coupons: $134.99, after using evic and coupons: $26.44.  I got 30 items: 2 Cartons of Smart Balance Milk, which ended up being free after using 2 $1.50 Coupons.  3 Wolfgang Puck Spaghetti Sauces, 1 Gillette Body Wash, BOGO Old Spice, 2 Gillette Shaving Gels, 2 Best Life Butter Tubs, Buy 2 and Get 3 Free Ragu Pasta, 1 Canister of Lysol Wipes, 1 4 pack of Duracell Batteries that were 0.20 were the highlights of my trip.

      • Lindamy3kids

they would not double my best life butter cp it was printed on the cp do not double. Some times they do it any way I was wondering if they doubled yours..I still had a great trip to HT!!

      • Yazpistachio

I had the exact same problem. I think they would only owe you back the $2.50 because that was all you paid for the third box. That would make it free (vs a moneymaker– which would be nice, but I doubt that will happen.)

        • I had the same problem.  Take 1 box back to the store and show them the sign for B2G1 Free.  They will refund you $2.50 (their policy is to refund you for their mistake).  It’s a problem in the computer – not ringing up the right price.

          • Lisabluedevil

Same thing happened to me and they very nicely refunded the 2.50 plus tax.  With coupon and ZVR I paid .60 per box.

            • Jane

They refunded me my $2.50, but I had to fight for it, walk the manager to the sign, explain that even if he wanted to say it was “Participating cereal” that the Chex in my cart was on the picture, and stand my ground (if he wasn’t taking the price off, I was returning the cereal.
The manager took the signs off and said he “Would look into it.”

I saw the same thing on my receipt as well. I will take mine back to get the 2.50 tomorrow.

    • K.Hood60

I had so much fun at HT today! Retail value $112.67, after sales and coupons I only spent $16.33! This was my best saving spree yet! I only started couponing a couple months ago..and am so pleased with the savings! (Hubby is pretty happy too)! This trip was worth staying up late preparing last night, and getting up very, very early this am.

    • Proudlyamom

First trip – $70 worth of groceries for $16!!

    • Lmlogan1

BEST TRIP EVER.. SPENT $2.68, yes 2.68 on $201.80 worth of groceries. Thank Goodness for HT Super Doubles! I am so proud of myself and family for working so hard on this trip. Thank you Jenny for all your help :))

      • Raynerae

now how did u do that? what did u get…. one trip???

        • Lmlogan1

I have my family send coupons to me,had lots of high value coupons from Ebay, combining evic, coupons, sales, doubles. Been couponing my whole life, 3rd generation couponer. i paid tax. everything was free, except a few items a few cents. used a catalina from blue diamond to cover that.

      • Lauram7

How in the world did you do that with a 20 coupon limit???

        • Mac

She probably had catalinas and RRs to go with her coupons. That works. WTG Lmlogan!

        • Lmlogan1

Not all coupons are super doubles :) I had lots of free item coupons and high value. I had a $4 catalina from Blue diamond deals :D

      • Jackie

        You go GIRL!

    • Megan

How do i get the ecoupon?

      • You can sign up online.  Access to them comes through your eVic email that comes to you each Wednesday morning.

    • Jlyngerber

Yeah for SD!  Spent $50, saved $72. Got jumbo packs of Pampers diapers for $2.99 and $0.99 (combined a raincheck w/ ZVR coupons and double coupons).

    • Collegecouponer

BTW: At my store.. 2 Harris Teeter employees were checking out around 6:30 am this morning with stacks full of doubling coupons..Maybe that is how your shelves are getting cleared too. because i was first in the store this morning and almost all items were already in the employees’ carts..

      • Alyson

What happened to 7 am!!!!  Bummer!

      • Mac

Yeah, lets blame it on the HT employees. HT stealing the freebies. LOL…

        • Collegecouponer

Um What? No. not at all what I was saying if you can understand my statement. I was saying that it is strange how they were able to get through the register at 6:30 am. And how I was bummed all the items were in their carts, and they did 3 transactions. To me- that is hypocritcal, they are exempting their own policy- therefore they cleared the shelves with the excessive amounts of coupons they had while checking out before start time.

      • amy

Oh!  I hope they were HT employees!  I always feel bad for the cashiers if they can’t get any of the items on their SD list because of working the early shift.  There should be some special perks for them.  The am cashiers in Salisbury are great.   :-)

    • Missriza

I had no problems finding everything I wanted at our store (I didn’t get there until 8am).  I think the ones in our area try to do a good job of keeping those sale items in stock now.  They were actually bringing out more items and still doing the pricing.  I bought almost $60 of groceries for $5.94.  I have a few more items I want to get and definitely I will go for any e-vic Saturday special items I might need (or want). Thanks Jenny!

    • M&MSMommy

Got to my store in Cary, NC at 7:15 am this morning, surprisingly me and only a couple other couponers were there and I was able to get everything on my list plus a few extras with an 80% savings! There were a couple things I saw on these lists that I wanted but the prices were off by a couple dollars so I went to my backup coupons. And my cashier was in a great mood and even started cheering when my Catalina’s for the Wolfgang puck sauce printed lol. I had a good time this morning but that will probably be my only trip this week, some deals were great-but this wasn’t an “awesome” super doubles…I seem to get my best deals on triples!

      • bummer

I went to 4 HT’s this morning in Charlotte and All were out of Wolfgang Puck.

    • KP

The trident vitality was not b1g1 at my store. :( And i couldnt find the marshmallow pebbles, i really wanted those. i still did good though, got $82 worth of things after sales, for a total of $16.77

      • Bridget

I discovered that only the Awaken flavor of the Trident Vitality is bogo. It is good – I am chewing some right now!

        • couponking

I looked on every aisle and did not see Awaken anywhere, not even a sign that said BOGO.

    • no free milk for me :( went to HT & there was not one smart milk in stock. there wer also no chinet paper plates for $1.84. Only the 32ct for about $6 & some change. there was no el monterey taquitos in stock, no Light life deli slices, & no gold peak tea. :(((( but on a good note I got 2 boxes of hot pockets, 2 bags of halloween candy, 2 boxes of pepperidge farms goldfish, 2 boxes of elbow macaroni, a box of celstrial green tea, 2 cans of tomato paste, & a jug of minute maid OJ all for a total of $4.24 :D

      • Romeoandzeus

I was there this morning at 7:01 and managed to get the last 2 SB milks, and glanced over and saw an old lady with… no joke, 12 milks in her cart! I counted. I can’t stand people like this. I get the whole concept of the early bird catches the worm and if you have the coupons you should be able to get what you want, but this was repulsive to me. Pure greediness! I thought HT only allowed 3 coupons of one like item. It’s people like this that make couponers look bad.

        • Margoren

Agree with you, some people must have multiple cards because I have just so little in my cart and I am using 20 coupons, then look over and a few (not the majority) have a cart full.
But anyways, you are allowed as many like coupons as you want but only 3 will double.

        • pamgam

How do you know that she was using coupons and how many she had if any?  Don’t stand in judgment of others when you do not know if and who she was buying the milk for?

          • Romeoandzeus

Maybe because of the massive coupon binder in her cart. It doesn’t matter who she was buying the milk for, she was using coupons to get 12 free milks, I think that’s greedy, and I’m allowed to think that, because it’s the truth

            • Mcleodsc

She may have had some “free” coupons for Smart Balance milk. I traded for a few but the max value is 3.49 and the milk is usually more unless it is on sale. Maybe she had some of the “free” coupons and was using them.

        • Guest

You don’t know why the “old lady” was buying 12 milks. I don’t think you should be counting others grocery items. It really is none of your business what others purchase. Maybe she was buying for other “old people” on fixed incomes. Regardless, there will be more SB milk tomorrow. MYOB and quit crying over ‘spilt milk’.

          • Lisabluedevil

HT does have a limit of 3 like coupons so she probably wasn’t able to buy all of them.  And, for those of us that have been doing this for awhile, SB milk is often only available the first day and no more comes in.  So, it is unlikely there will be more in the store tomorrow.  I think it is fair to limit purchases to 3 items.  We may not know why she needed them, but the person behind her might really need them as well.  IMHO we should all support and encourage limits in our stores so that as many of us as possible can benefit from these deals.

        • Bowtifan

I hate the competition of trying to get to the store with my coupons before all of the free milk is gone! I wish they would have more in stock to begin with. This is just like Christmas fighting for the last toy on the shelf.

        • guest

Jumping to judgement does you no good. Unless you watched her use 1 card and 12 coupons for all 12 milks you have no idea what transpired. At the sale price it is a good deal. She may have been part of a group shopping and each person goes to a product and gets enough for the group (in this case 4 shoppers) and they divide it up. I do this all the time – this morning we had 7 in our group – so one goes to the milk and gets up to 21, another goes to the free pasta sauce and buys the limit for 7, one hit the sara lee bread, another the floss – divide and conquer! We then distribute the products so each of us has no more than the limit.

        • Lori

There are online and offline coupons for $1.50 and $0.75 on the Smart Balance milk.  Technically, she could purchase up to 12 milks and still fall within the coupon guidelines. (The HT website says 2 IP’s, but there is a hard copy that some managers have that says 3 IP’s.)  She can buy them out if she wants to, without coupons doubling or without coupons.  It is really none of your business.

We have six people in my household.  We can easily go through a gallon of milk in a day.  The Smart Balance milk is in 1/2 gallons.  So you are crying over, what, a 3-4 day milk supply for a middle-sized family?  Find out when the store restocks, and go then.

    • Alyson

I actually didn’t get to go till after school and was expecting nothing on the shelves.  But to my delight almost all my items were still there!  I actually had to stop getting items because I reached my 20 double max and that has NEVER happened to me on a SD or Triples day!  I did see that Goldfish were BOGO which would have been nice to have my Goldfish coupon.  But I might even be able to go back later in the week and pick up what I missed.  Thanks so much, Jenny. Spent 30 and saved 70!  Great Day!!!

    • Shawna

I have (10) 75 cents off Snuggle Fabric Softener Liquid or Dryer Sheets coupons.  I will not be able to use them by the expiration date of 11/13.  If anyone wants them, send an email to shawna914@yahoo.com and I will respond by either asking for your mailing address or letting you know someone else has claimed them.  I am in NC by the way.  I don’t want the coupons to go to waste, so please contact me ASAP so I can mail them in the morning!

      • Cmoody

        I would like them!

    • Josie1223

      Huggies has a catalina.

      • Amanda

Wow!  I am planning on buying Huggies this week.  What do you have to buy to get a catalina?

        • Lisa_G_22

Buy 2 get $3 coupon, buy 3 get $5 coupon, buy 4 or more get $6 coupon off your next grocery visit

          • Amanda

            That’s great, thanks so much!!!

      • Nocent7772

        What is a catalina??

    • Luann

Is any one having an issue with EVIC coupons?  I get an error whenever I try to go to my EVIC coupons.  I’venever had this problem before

      • Pdms3

i am and it is frustrating me too.

        • Lisabluedevil

I just tried mine and was able to add some.  So, it must not be impacting everyone.

          • It’s a pita sometimes.  I’m trying to get in and I see the coupons I’ve saved, I see the link for “my saved coupons” but nothing will click!

            • And today it’s still not working! I emailed them yesterday and don’t have a response yet.  So frustrating

        • Bowtifan

I have to request a new password every time I try to get to my evic coupons.

      • Katie

You can only add, I think 99 coupons at a time (i’ve had an error before). Try going to “my saved coupons” and deleting some you know you definitely will not use. Then try adding some new ones.

    • Anonymous

I am thrilled with my results today.  No great shakes in terms of $ amount, but because of the SD, I was able to get K-cups for about the same price as Sam’s club.  This is a personal milestone because since I started couponing, that was the only thing that was still cheaper at Sam’s.  So, I am celebrating with a cup of coffee and a slice of 90 cent Sara Lee pound cake!

    • Anonymous

When you go there or when you try to add a new one?

    • Cheryl

I got 2 cans BD Almonds, 2 BD nut-thinks, 2 cans carnation evap milk, 3 kettle chips, 2 protein bars, 2 think thin bars, a wholly quacamolly, 1 Ristor pizza, 1/2 gal Smart Bal milk, 1 liquid coffee mate… all for $1.47 (after the $4 catalina). Thanks Jenny! :-)

    • Sierra_26

Thanks Jenny went to Harris Teeter today and got $156 in groceries for $20! I am stocking up this week and then taking a break until January! Used my savings today to purchase a chest freezer!

    • Jilbeanie

I went today to find out that I could only use 20 coupons.   Im proud of myself because this was my 1st real couponing experience and I saved $92.03 with 20 coupons.

      • guest

The HT coupon policy is clear on this – actually one of the most clear grocery store policies. Before I go to any store i check the policy, even asking at cus srvc if I’m unsure – policies change. Congratulations on the nice savings. I will use 20 a day each day this week – super doubles a nice promotion.

      • Sarah

You can USE more than 20 coupons…you just can’t DOUBLE more than 20. Hope that helps.

    • Ginamity

      64 oz Welch’s Essentials is on sale for $3.29.  Coupon for $1/1 + $1 e-vic coupon = .29
I was able to reload this Welch’s e-vic, as well as Toll House cookies, but not Febreze – definitely check to see what you can reload on your card!I bought 3 carpet fresh, which rang up as $2.98 for all three… my coupons weren’t doubling properly due to this.  Something to look for on your receipts.

      Does HT take RR?

      • Kouponkatrina

Depends on the store. Their coupon policy states:
We gladly accept local competitors’ manufacturer
coupons. We also redeem circular or direct-mail coupons for money off of
        the total order.

What constitutes a competitor is often up to the manager to decide. In my experience, the competitor has to be within a certain radius of the store. The Teeter I shop at is a 24-hour store with a pharmacy. They accept RR because there is a 24-hour Walgreens 1/4 mile away. Another Teeter in my town doesn’t take RR because the nearest Walgreens is about 4 miles away. The best thing to do is ask at customer service.

        Hope this helps. Good luck!

        • autumnskies1234

          thank you

        • marlene

my store will take them once all other coupons have been redeemed
… i only use 1 at a time though to keep up the good karma
they will also take CVS coupons for $5 off $25 etc but again after all other coupons have been redeemed.

      • Debbi

They accepted my RR yesterday along with Food Lion Catalinas.

      Questions….

Do the ecoupons count towards your 20?

Are the ecoupons added on top of the manuf Q’s?

      • Kouponkatrina

Do the ecoupons count towards your 20? No.

Are the ecoupons added on top of the manuf Q’s? Yes.

        • Raynerae

          thank you

    • LisaH

quick question–is anyone finding the Trident gum for B1 G1?  I checked 4 HT’s today and they were ringing up $1.29 per pack–not B1 G1–just wondering?  I am in Huntersville and cannot find the bargain on Trident gum anywhere!  Also is it new that HT only allows 3 of the same coupon per day? Thanks

      • autumnskies1234

it is only the awaken flavor that is on sale.

    • Tracie

OMG, I was at Harris Teeter this morning @ 6 am & there was like 20 people in line to get into the door.  Went straight for the domino sugar & the paseo toilet paper.  Got to the paper isle & there was a stocker putting up freight, I was waiting on him to move so that I could reach over & grab the last pack of paseo toilet paper when out of the blue a lady comes straight up & jumps in front of him & snatches the last pack of toilet tissue.  Makes you feel like jumping in her buggy & running with it, LOL!~!  Well, I guess I’ll have to be more persistent next time getting what I want…..

I got joint juice, 2 V-8 splash, 3 SB milk, 1 mahatma rice, 1 sara lee bread, 2 Blue dog bakery treats, 2 bear creek soups, 1 domino sugar, 2 grande tortilla chips, 1 duncan hines blueberry mix, 2 18.5 gold peak teas, 3 pack trident awaken gum, 1 stouffer family size lasagna, 1 4-pk AAA duracell batteries and 6 jello pudding mixes for $15.01 oop and savings of $75.78! Cannot wait to go back again.

      • Jam5az

Where are the 18.5 oz gold peak teas located?  I can’t find them at my store.  Thanks and awesome job!

        • Jello_2001

They were not marked on sale when I went yesterday.  I bought 2 anyway although I think the sale was from the week prior.

          • stacey

The ones that are on sale are the small size.  only select HT stores have them.  The are on sale for 1.50 (evic) making them free

        • Jfmiller82

I had to ask and they are next to the orange juice

    • Thanks so much, I was able to get some really great deals for my family and some nice food for a food drive at my church!  8th Continent milk was all out by the time I got there – I’m going to try again tomorrow!

    • Debbi

Does anyone know the limit policy at HT? I bought 10 jars of Ragu yesterday (Buy 2 Get 3 free). The limit was 10. Can I go back and get 10 more at the same price? Or is 10 the limit for the entire week?

      • Lapointj08

I have gone in the next day and got the sales again for b2g3

        • Debbi

Thanx Lapointj08 ! We use alot of Ragu in our house so I’m going back for more.

      • kari

You can go get more today. I did it last week on the juice that is b2g3 free. When I went into the store the 2nd time I stopped and asked Customer Service and she said the b2g3 free is limit 10 per transaction not card. So you could have got more Rugu yesterday you just needed to do them in 2 diff. transactions. HTH

        • Debbi

Thanx Kari, our HT has a new policy….they won’t allow more than one transaction per day. The manager mentioned it yesterday when everyone was standing on line to pay. I’m glad I can go back for my B2G3 Ragu.

          • Nerrad

Go to U-Scan and you can break it up into as many transactions as you like.  I used to do this before they allowed 2 Q’s to be used on BOGO pairs.

            • Guest

I went to HT Holly Springs yesterday and used the self checkout. I paid in 2 transactions, because of the blue diamond deals. My 2 yo alone can finish up 1 nut thins box in one day, so I stock up :) The attendant warned me that I was not allowed to do 2 transactions, because some people used multiple cards to break the > 20 coupons/day policy. But I only used 1 card! And I’ve never had this kind of problem before with the other attendants. I would have asked for the manager, but I was in a rush. If I buy 8 BD products in 1 transaction, will I get 2 catalinas?

    • Debbi

I just dug out my receipt from yesterday and here’s what I got for $11.58 (this will reduce to $8.58 once I get the $3 mail in rebate for the Lysol Wipes)

      3 Smart Balance milks
      Best Life Butter spread
      3 boxes of jello pudding
1 bar soap Neutragenia (trial size)
2 boxes of Tums (36 per box)
      4 Zone protein bars
      2 Pure Protein bars
10 jars of Ragu (large size 45 oz)
      2 Muir Glen tomato paste
      6 cans of Mighty Dog
      2 Old Spice Body Wash
      Scotch Brite sponges (3 pack)
Lysol Dual Action Wipes (35 count)
Chock Full O’Nuts coffee 10.5 oz can
      3 Coffee Mate (refridgerated)

Thanx Jenny, your coupon match ups are a blessing !

      • Debbi

oops, I forgot that I also bought Smart Balance cooking spray.

    • Just4yall

Ok, so I went to Harris Teeter this morning and they where out of dawn. I went to get a rain check for it and had trouble getting it because they told me that it is always .99 but I was pretty sure that I have seen it not on sale. Does anyone know if this is true. Is the $1.49 dawn always on sale for .99 cents?

      • EB

I don’t think it is always 99 cents, but I looked at the shelf tag yesterday and saw that it goes on past this week – I don’t remember the exact date but I think the end date of the sale was at least a couple weeks away. I was wondering why people cleared that shelf when the 50 cent coupon will double next week for that item.

      • Tracie

I have only seen it not on sale 1 week at my HT, otherwise in Charlotte it does seem to be .99 most all the time and its almost always out.  Find out when your store gets their truck this week and it should be restocked then.

    • JenS

Ok – question.  If I download the evic coupons, can I still use my paper coupons too?  Do they stack?

      • Anonymous

        Yes, e-vic stacks!

      • JenS

Ok, so if I got this right – there is an E Vic coupon for $5.00 off whitening strips Crest and I have a $10.00 coupon I got in the mail, so they would take both for a total of $15 off, correct?  Thanks!  B/c the evic coupons look like what was in the paper last sunday…

        • Debbi

Yes, you will get $15 off. That is awesome !

      • Debbi

Yes they stack. I was told the evic will not double but your paper coupons will double so it’s a really nice savings altogether.

    • Debbi

One more question. I have 5 Kikkoman coupons. 3 are manufacturer’s and 2 are Internet. Can I use all 5 on the same day?

      • Margoren

I could be wrong but I think they would take them all but only 3 will double. Maybe walk out to your car and go buy the other 2. As long as you don’t double more than 20 in a day.

        • Debbi

Thanx Margoren, I’m going to try to use all 5 coupons. If they don’t take them, I’ll try your idea

      • Sarah

        they will double all 5.

        • Debbi

Thanx Sarah. I’m going back to HT on Monday so will try to use all 5 coupons on the Kikkoman.

    • renee

Has anyone seen the Marshmallow fruity pebbles?

      • Roger

Nope.  I called Post and no HT’s in my area have them.  I tried 3 stores beforehand.  Just Food Lion and Lowe’s.

      • Carrieluvsgreg

We have them at our store… but have only had them for about a month.

    • Erica

Just a quick reminder to check different sizes of products and compare price per ounce.

Example:3 x $1/1 Folgers Q’s in hand.  Purchasing 3x the smallest size would USUALLY give the best deal.  This week at HT: smallest Folger bricks (11oz) are retail at $5.49 ($3.49 each with Q).  Larger containers (33oz), normally $12.49 retail on sale for $8.99 ($6.99 with Q).  $6.99 felt like a lot to spend on one container of coffee, but looking at price per oz, the larger was actually the better deal (0.21/oz vs 0.29/oz).  I know coffee can be found a lot cheaper, but the Folgers were the only Q’s I happened to have and we were down to our last brick at home.  Running out of coffee in our house would be bad, bad news! ;)

      Love HT super doubles!

      • Debbi

This is true but most people want the smaller size as it is less money out of pocket

      • Carrieluvsgreg

I sure hope for your sake that this is not the same Folger’s that is on sale for the weekend!! (I hate it when that happens…)
I feel the same way about the dog food.  We have three dogs (two are large) and they go through A LOT of food… to waste a coupon on a $3.5 lb. bag of food is crazy for me… no matter how cheap it is… I would have to have at least 4 of those every week to supply my  need.  There are not that many chances to get it for that cheap so I just wait til it goes on BOGO and then use my coupons.  The dogs will thank me!  :)

    • Mags15

My Harris Teeter here in Virginia Beach had Hidden Valley Dressing on clearance for $2.14, so with the coupon they were $0.14 each!  The shelves were not organized.  The bottles on clearance were on a different shelf.  It always helps to read the numbers on the product and the shelf to make sure they match!  I saved 74% this morning on my trip today.

    • JGW

Can I use a BOGO and a $$-off coupon when purchasing 2 items?  I have a BOGO Axe bodwash and $1.50 off Axe bodywash.  Can I use both to purchase 2 body washes? Or just the BOGO?

      • Anonymous

I purchased 2 yesterday with the $1.50 coupon and the B1G1 from the paper, made it $1.99 for 2, not bad since this is my sons fav. b-wash.

      • Stacey

You should be able to use both. Like the deal on the Old Spice bodywash that Jenny has listed, I used the BOGO q and the $1 off 2 Old spice products (which makes them $.25 a piece, woohoo) and they both went through without any problem at the register.

        • Debbi

I got the same deal on the Old Spice too. I think we saved even more thru the e-vic coupon. Great deal !

        • Carrieluvsgreg

really you shouldn’t be able to use those two particular coupons together… each coupon “attaches” to a product.  In the case of buy 2 products the coupon attaches to both.  There wouldn’t be a way to use the Free coupon with that unless you buy 3 products, which would be permissible.  I realize that the coupon might scan and the cashier might not catch it, but it still isn’t within the coupon validity.  I did this same deal this week but had a $1 off one Old Spice that came in the mail from P&G, that made it work correctly.

          • Jello_2001

Thanks!  Lesson learned.  I will now pay more attention to the non-food coupons.  I am just starting back and wanted to stock up for the holidays and winter, but failed to be as consistent w/ the bath and beauty products.

            • Carrieluvsgreg

Glad to help!! :) It can get tricky with stacking/eVic and doubles sometimes!

      • KP

yep i did it. 1.99 for 2, with a retail of $10 for 2..cant beat that!!!

    • Rlhx2

Several of the coupon match ups listed arent in the paper dated, that I have. I write the date on mine the day I getthem & keep them all together. I cannot find the celestial tea coups, or the wolfgangpuck. ?? Did my paper just not come with them?

      • Margoren

Sadly, some coupons are regional. That’s why SS has “coupon variation” posts (I think that’s what is called) They are posted here on Wed. Click where it says “Sunday ad inserts” on top of page. You” find them there. It may be a good idea to see your paper and then check to make sure you got them all and then maybe print the list for future reference. Hope this helps!

    • S.B.

So I was in HT today The specials showed Olay Bodywash for $2.99 and the store sold it for $3.99. Tried to get scan guarantee and they said even with a printout could not prove it was their store.  Called corporate and they said it was an email mistake not a store mistake so NO scan guarantee.  Was quite a bit irked but Does not seem fair to advertise something and not back it up.

    • Cjanddrewmommy

I went to upload coupons from the e-vic website and I seen a $2 tide…Now can I combine that with my paper coupon from this past week?  Foodlion has just about the same coupons on their website and they said I could not combine…Someone help???

      • Margoren

Right now at HT you can. They may change this later like Kroger did.

      • Debbi

Yes, you can use paper coupons with your e-vic coupons. I did it yesterday and it worked.

      • Carrieluvsgreg

Yep, that’s how I almost always get free Gillette Body Wash.  They almost always put it on sale or have it for $3.99 at least one time during the month.  It has been an item that the P&G insert has had a $2 coupon for (til this month…) and it often shows up on my eVic for an additional $2 off, cha ching!  Free body wash.  Once this summer I was able to pair it with the BOGO and score 2 for FREE!!!
This week I did a similar deal with Old Spice, however I paid 50 cents for 2… still a great deal! :)

        • Jello_2001

how did u do the old spice?  I cannot figure it out or I may not have the right coupons.  Thanks!

          • Carrieluvsgreg

I had a coupon that was in a set of coupons that P&G sent to me in the mail last week.  I am not sure, but I probably had to register for it somewhere…. In that coupon insert it contained a $1 off the purchase of 1 old spice body wash.  I used that coupon with the BOGO that is in the current P&G insert and paid .49 for two.  (because an extra dollar was on my eVic) $1 coupon doubled to $2, one coupon was for $3.49 and the other was my eVic for $1… so that was a total of $6.49 off.  :)

      • Cheryl

Today, I got an evic alert for the Tide, 100 oz for 9.99. I had a paper mQ for $2 and an evic Q for $2 and that made it 5.99. Great deal for 100 oz of Tide!! Yay.

    • Jenifer

Where do you find the Grandma’s Molassas coupon?

      • Ashlee

        Baking aisle

        • Cheryl

Ashlee, LOL, the couons are on the internet… follow Jenny’s link.. the Molassas is on the bakers aisle. I got one too, I think it was .50 after the coupon. HTH.

    • arm

I got 4 Blue diamons almonds yesterday but catalina did not print. How do I get this fixed.

      Thanks for info

      • S.B.

Talk to the manager.  Mine just wrote down on paper that he will take off $4 off my next purchase. Sometimes you have to try another register.

        • arm

          Thanks

      • couponking

I had to ask the cashier for the catalina.

    • Smcdonald

do they double coupons up to $1.00? or how does that work?

      • Danielle

On a regular week they will double coupons up to $.98, but this week is “Super Doubles,” meaning they will double coupons up to $1.98.  For example, if you have a manufacturer’s coupon for $1.50 it will double to $3…unless the coupon states “Do Not Double” then their policy is not to double.

        • Danielle

Ooops…I meant this week is “Super Doubles.”  A little overzealous!

    • Danielle

Anyone having trouble with ecoupons not coming off of their bill?  I went in yesterday and bought 3 cans of Campell’s Chunky Soup and the Chex Cereal as pictured on the ecoupons, but when the cashier rang them up I didn’t get the zvr savings.  I asked the manager and he said he’s never had an issue.  I pulled up my “saved coupons” on my phone to show him and he said there’s nothing he can do.  I’d have to call corporate.

      • Tlockhar

Yes, thats happened to me before, print out the last page that shows loaded coupons and before you pay  make sure they come off of the total.

        • Danielle

I just tried to print my list and it only shows maybe half of the coupons that I have loaded.  If I look at the “saved list” it shows them all, but then when I click “print” it only prints half of them.  These are coupons I’ve had loaded for a while too.  Perhaps I’ll do a print screen and take that to the store.  I’ll try a different HT too.  One with super nice managers.  Thanks guys!

          • Onethriftydiva

I’ve had a problem printing all of my evic coupons also. As you said, the list only shows about half of them. :( I usually end up copy/pasting the pages into a word doc and printing that out for reference throughout the week.

            • Cheryl

This is how you print your evic coupon list:

go to HT website and login. On the left side click on “evic”. Then click “this week’s specials”. then Scroll way down and click on evic coupons. Why you do that you will see instruction on the right side of how to print your evic coupons. It will not print pictures, but you will have what you need. HTH

          • Tracie

I have the same problem and my solution takes me some time but keeps my mind from going crazy.  First, clear everything from your evic list.  Next I catagorize my list by grocery, ref/frez, health/beauty and cleaning.  I start by selecting only items in 1 catagory at a time and print that list (each list will only save 28 evic). To make this work after each list you have to deselect what you just printed and select your next catagory and so on.  Then after I have my 4 list I go back and select everything to make sure its attached to my card.  I don’t know if this will work for everyone but it helps me because it matches how I catagorize  my coupons so I don’t go crazy matching up my coupons with my evics.

      • Anonymous

I was at HT this AM and one of my ZVRs didn’t come off – the CS manager (who was cashiering) said my issue was that my item was marked down and the system doesn’t see it as that item being purchased. She told me to take my receipt to CS and they could “force” the ZVR and give me a refund. The rep took my receipt, looked up something by my EVIC number on their computer (I could see her scrolling thru the available ZVRs), entered some information, and told me she wasn’t sure how to do the taxes on the item, but it could be done. I suggested that she just give me $1 cash not worry about the tax. She agreed and I have my $1 bill. Long story even longer: they have the ability to refund you the amount not taken off.

      • Stacey

That has happened to me one other time, but I had my HT grocery list that I printed off their site, which list some of your saved evic q’s and also has the date at the bottom (so you would have to print it the day you went) and the manager gave me the money back. But I’m sure it’s a store to store thing, whether or not the manager are coupon friendly.

      • Itsmekelli

My cashier said that the store mgr. wants the evic card scanned at the beginning of the transaction from now on, because their store is having problems with the evic $’s coming off at the end.  I did it at the end and had no problems…yet!

      • Guest

I had the same issue this week.  It turned out that the register actually scanned my CVS Green Bag Tag instead of my VIC card.  Someone else apparently has my CVS card # for their VIC card # because it had their annual savings on there and sub points, etc.

I’m still trying to get it sorted out with corporate to get a refund for my ZVRs and since only 5 of my coupons doubled – I am assuming that person had already shopped that day and used 15 coupons.   What a mess!

    • Marywillingham1

Folgers is $3 off this week, Combine that with $1 off coupon and you pay $6.99 per 33.9 oz can!  Hefty plates and Mrs. Renfros salsa are not b1g1 in Greensboro.

      • Folger’s coffee is one of my eVic items – $7.77 for 33.9 oz.  Use your $1/1 q to make it $5.77.

        • Momof2Boyce

Where do I find the Folgers coupon?

          • Cbatch825

I had one in the thursday red plum insert that came in the mail…..

    • DianaY19

Has anyone gotten the Nestle Pure Life Flavored Water??  Jenny listed it as b2g3.  When you look at the online price, it does show (On Sale! Evic customers) which usually means b2g3.  It says that for the Ragu as well.

    • Proudlyamom

      Jenny,
Thanks so much for now including the ecoupons!

      • Carrieluvsgreg

Just a word of alert… not all of the eVic items are the same for everyone.  :(

        • Jen

But e-VIC coupons are the same for everyone. Everyone in my family all have the same e-VIC coupons and we live in different areas. e-VIC q’s are not the same as e-VIC specials, so don’t confuse the two. Not everyone has the same e-VIC specials…

          • Carrieluvsgreg

Sorry, but not all eVic coupons are the same.  My friend and I shop together every week and our eVic coupons are not the same.  The specials are always the same here… but, for instance she has eVic for herbal essence and I don’t have that one right now.  Most of the items are the same, but some are in fact, different.

    • Leenie

Does anyone know of a store in NC that still carries the Pasaeo paper products?????

      • shanta

i stay in NC as well and they dont carry them at my stores

      • Cathy

The Asheville store doesn’t…I was there today hoping to get some, no luck!

    • Kristina

Just came back from trip number one…The Sarah Lee bread coupon is a do not double according to the cashier and manager. Not sure if anyone else ran into this. I didn’t realize and was bummed to have to pay more that 29 cents for them. Is there a way to tell if coupons are do not double? Is it written on them somewhere? (Thanks, new to coupons)

      • Candikane02

It normally says it at the top of the coupon next to the expiration date.

      • CCShad

If the barcode number starts with a 5, it will double.  If it starts with a 9 it will not double.

        • Itsmekelli

Anyone know how to “read” the new coupon numbers…the ones that do no start with a 5 or a 9???

        • Krazycouponlady2

I tried explaining the barcode thing to the cashiers but they still set the cpn aside and only discount the cpn at face value when it says DND.  To respect the coupon is to respect the manufacturer’s wishes by not trying to slip these DND coupons by the cashier.  It’s a lot less stressfull for all concerned.

      • Carrieluvsgreg

As mentioned below there are numbers that will indicate if a coupon will double or not.  However, at my HT (especially during Super Doubles) the cashiers are much more alert concerning coupons.  If a coupon says DND they will set it aside and manually override it so that it will not double, after all, that is what the coupon states…

      • couponsaredrugs

Poor baby you had to pay 29 cents ?? Really???

        • Kristina

actually, I ended up paying 85 cents or so for them. I wasn’t complaining, just trying to give a heads up to anyone who thought they would be 29 cents because they were more.

      • Guest

My Sara Lee bread coupon didn’t double either – it actually beeped and the manager had to manually enter it.  It was one of those “new” coupons that doesn’t have the extra bar code that starts with a 5 or 9 to tell you if it will double or not.

Oh well.  Any time I can get good bread for less than $1, I am happy.

    • Janelleblozy

The ragu pasta sauce is not $2,19 at Greensboro , NC HT. Anyone find it for that price here??

      • Deanna

In Nashville the Ragu was $3.99, big difference.  It would have been $1.60 each. Not a bad price for the big size, but not worth it for me.  I would have a hard time using that amount before it went bad each time I opened one. I’m happy if I can find the smaller jars for $1. More user friendly for this user… :)

    • Janelleblozy

Also trident gum is not on sale b1g1 at Greensboro, NC :(

      • KP

not n durham or morrisville either

      • Lauram7

One of my HT stores had it on sale, and one did not. I got 12 packs of free Trident !

      • Janelleblozy

There are 7!! Harris teeters in Greensboro and not one of them has the gum b1g1 or the ragu price $2.19 :( I hope everyone is having fun couponing!!

    • Megan

Any tips on what time of day/week to go shopping?  The shelves had already been raided by the time I got there today!

      • Angelascoupons1

Thursday is generally not a good day to shop b/c Wed. is such a heavy day.  I would fine out what days your store restocks and try to go after they have put out more items.  Generally, Friday can be good, as well as Sunday.

      • cherl

I think Wed. is the best day to shop because most people aren’t ready. Thursday is not a good day. Then it’s just a toss up.  But Wednesday has always been my best day.

        • couponking

Wednesday is traditionally the slowest day of the week in the grocery industry.  That is why the sale ads come out on that day.

      • Wed. as early as possible or Tues. before the sale ends.

      • Carrieluvsgreg

if you can’t go Wednesday as early as possible, I would ask them which day(s) their truck comes in.  Our store has a truck come in on Friday, so they restock most items then.  The biggest problem is, they are not “clued in” on which items will be free/deep discounts so they don’t always know to reorder certain items and they might not get them back in before the sale ends (or in this case, super doubles end…)

    • Cheryl

The BD nut-thins are such a good purchase and they taste so good! The Charlotte stores have the bogo at 2.99 and if you buy 4 you get a $4 catalina good on your next purchase…off the bottom line next time. This makes them .50 a box! Gotta love Blue Diamond for doing this… those almonds and now the crackers…. YUM!! Healthy snacks!!

      • Angelas001

My 3 yr old would live on these, but he’s eaten up my stock. More- yeah! But he’ll only eat the ranch and then his breath is stinky all day :)

    • Nerrad

Just a heads up ~ yesterday someone posted HT doesn’t always replenish the Smart Balance milk once it’s gone on Wednesday… keep checking!  I went today and was surprised to find all the SB milks fully restocked!  Some HT’s are better than others with restocking items.  I guess it depends on the volume/location.  Kudos to the Morrocroft HT CSM Kameka for quickly resolving my Q issues today.  Cox Rd HT quickly resolved issues after JP got involved.  Positive resolutions depend on the quality of supervisor you get.

    • S.B.

Smart Balance was stocked up today at Tryon Road HT in Raleigh NC. The Hidden Valley Ranch, Wolfgang, Carpet Fresh, Febreeze set and refresh, all gone in the area…maybe Saturday.

    • Angelas001

I also have a B1G1 for the Axe shower gel (4.99), so also with the $1.50/1 I should get 2 for 1.99. Right? I guess womeone will be getting these for Christmas…

      • Carrieluvsgreg

Yes, I do this all of the time.  This week I did it with Old Spice.  I had a $1 off the purchase of 1 coupon that was in the P&G mailer that I received just last week, I paired that with the P&G bogo coupon, plus this item was also on my eVic.  (also $1 off) So, the shelf price was $3.49 each…. I paid just under $7 for two, then $3.49 came off for the free one, and $2 came off for the manufacture coupon ~doubled~ then another $1 came off for the ZVR… totalling $6.49 discount!!!  The only time it won’t work is if the coupon states that you can not use the free one with another coupon.

    • T.F.

I didn’t see a deal on the Hidden Valley Ranch.  Can someone tell me about this deal?

      • Cheryl

Some were on clearance for 1.97 which made them free. All the stores I went to were out of those.

      • Janelleblozy

It was not ranch but a different flavor on clearance all sold out at my store :(

      • Lynn28352

it is for the onion hidden valley dressing, I got two for free.  But they were not marked on the shelf as being on sale.  I asked them to check the price.

    • Cjc11jan98

Has anyone been able to use their evic specials at a store that is not listed as their “home” store? I will be in a different area this morning and want to go to that HT–saw we can get Philadelphia Cooking Cream for free w/ $1 off coupon, but want to make sure I can get the evic deal…..

      • Joy

I have & it worked fine. It’s all based on your VIC card.

      • It’s connected to your VIC card.  It shouldn’t be a problem to use those coupons at any store.

      • Deanna

I went this morning to get it since I’m pretty sure it will be sold out after I get off work, and all they had on the shelf was out of date or close to it (exp dates of 9/18 – 11/17, yuck!), so I didn’t get it.  I’m hoping I can find another store with fresher product or they restock it before Tuesday.

    • Jello_2001

Can you use the $1/2 Old Spice coupon along w/ the b1g1 free coupon and then get the $1 off evic?

Or just the b1g1 and then use the $1 off evic?

      • Sarah

You can use everything you just mentioned.

      • Carrieluvsgreg

no, you really can’t.  You see, the $1 off of two coupon attaches itself to both products… it’s the same as using two coupons for one item.  If you have the mailer from p&g it has a $1 off one old spice coupon which you can combine with the bogo to complete the deal.  you will also get the eVic.

        • Jello_2001

          thanks.

        • my question is, so you can use a b1g1 coupon and a $ off coupon together ?

        • tgirl

on one of the adds for kroger in the past. Jenny herself even posted to use coupons that way. okay. i don’t know why it is a problem with you. it is okay to use $1 OFF THE ONE THAT IS FREE.

      • Debbi

I used both coupons last Wednesday and they worked for me. I guess it’s up to each store. The first day of Super Doubles is stressful so the cashiers don’t scrutinize every coupon, at least not at my store.

    • Jo

If I use a Cat from Blue Diamond to buy more Blue Diamond products will a new Cat print?

      • couponking

        Yes it will!

        • Jo

          Thank you! :-)

        • shell

          Genius!!!!

    • Deanna

Wolfgang Puck Italian Sauce Catalina!!!  Went before work this morning to see if the Wolfgang Puck was restocked, and it WAS!  When I checked out, a catalina popped out – Buy (1) Get $0.75 – Buy (2+) Get $1.50!!! Offer Good Between 10/31/2011 & 11/27/2011.  With the sale on, 2/$4, it makes it $2.50/2 jars even before any coupons! I bought 3 and wish I would have saved one of my coupons to use another time, lol.

      • couponking

I went to 6 HT’s in Charlotte yesterday and ALL were out.

        • pamgam

Hopefully you got rainchecks.  If not I would get rainchecks to get when they stock back up.

          • couponking

Good idea on the RC.  Would prefer to by this week with the super doubles.

        • Deanna

I couldn’t go on Wednesday until after work, and they were out.  Then I went on Thursday morning, they were still out, and today they were stocked.  They get their trucks every 3 days, so will try again on Monday. But I went at 8 am, and they were about 25% gone already.  Keep checking, and try to go early in the morning if possible.  I can’t wait to go after work, it’ll be sold out everytime.

    • Linden

What are the dates for the catalina for the blue diamond?  I can’t get to the store till Tuesday, will it still be printing them?

      • Hollarcoupon

Prints until 11/6 according to the last one I got today.

    • Barre

My second trip to HT this morning: I bought 3 Dawns, 2 Smart Balance Milks, 3 Prego Sauces, 5 of the Ragu Sauces.  After coupons: $9.26,

    • Pdms3

Never had this problem before but I was told I couldn’t use the coupons for the Aveeno lotions or the Neutrogena hand lotion because they were trial size. The coupons don’t state trial size excluded so I don’t know why they said this. It must have been the cashier I was at.

      • Jen

The Aveeno q’s says excludes trial size, it’s on the bottom (yeah I know, bad spot), but the Neutrogena should’ve worked, they just have to manually enter them in.

      • Crzyjess07

If they are the aveeno coupons that came out recently the coupon says it excludes trial size and 2.5oz. Its towards the bottom of the coupon

      • lo2210

mine stated trial size excluded :(

      • Jghunter1

They DO say no trial size in VERY small print below all other print in the center of the coupon. I had same issue.

      • Debbi

My store allowed me to buy the Neutrogena trial size but again, it was the first day, 6:30AM, so busy, the cashier was too stressed out to check my coupons. However, I honestly did not see the small print excluding the trial size and I went by Jenny’s list that allowed it.

    • Cheryl

      I got a vic alert today. The 100 oz Tide is $9.99 and I have a $2 coupon and a $2 evic coupon and a $4 catalina coupon… paid $1.99. Good deal! :-)

      • Jello_2001

Thanks for sharing .  Now that is an awesome deal.  Hopefully, I can copy that deal before it is over.  I did not realize you get a catalina when you buy 2 nuts and 2 of the crackers.  I thought it had to be 4 of the nuts.  So I was pleasantly surprised when she handed it to me.

      • Debbi

I had a similar deal too with the 100 oz Tide but I had a $3 off coupon but did not have a catalina. Still a great deal for Tide in that larger size.

    • Lynn

Can I use a $2.00 off 25 from foodlion at harris teeters?

      • Guest

Yes.  I do it all the time.

      • Sue

Where do you get a $2 off $25 coupon for Food Lion?

    • Mclamrockg

Where is the Grandma’s molasses coupon?

      • Angel in Charleston

I could not find it either!

    • KK

Today the catalina wasn’t printing for the blue diamond deal. Cashier was very nice and just gave me 4.00 cash! I spent $10 and save $62! I love Harris teeter especially the one in Clemmons NC!

      • KK

Forgot to say the whonu cookies were 2.50 making them .50 after coupon!

    • ash

      San Pleagrino Mineral Water (free)
      Pepperidge Farm Garlic Toast (free)

      • Anonymous

The Butonni coupon expired 9/12/11, so it will not work.

    • Tdallen0113

Can you use an evic coupon AND a paper coupon?

      • Guest

Yes – you can use both!  :)

    • Traceykennethcrum

I saw something about RR on here. Can you use Walgreens register rewards at HT? Also, do you get $4 cat when  you buy 4 blue diamond thins?

      • Guest

I have used Wags RR before at HT.  They will only allow one per visit though, at least at the store that I go to.

Not sure about the BD Thins catalina.

      • Cheryl

Yes, i think it goes thru 11/5/11.

      • Debbi

I think every store is different. On the first day it was so busy, they took 4 RR from me. The cashier was stressed and not paying attention so I got lucky !

    • Jghunter1

You can get a great discount on this weeks Meal Deal too. Buy 1 Buitoni Complete Meals for two  @ $9.99 Get 1 Pepperidge Farm Garlic Texas Tost, 1 Haagen Dazs Ice cream, and 1 S. Pellegrino Sparkling water free.

    • Angelas001

Ooh ooh- I just found a $1 off Bounty napkins on the bottom of the Bounty paper towels 8 giant rolls I just bought tonight.  So when I head back (tomorrow?) it’ll make for  .99 napkins.  I still have free ones in my stock pile, but we go through them too fast to wait for that lucky day again.

      • Debbi

I had the same $1 coupon but used it on the smaller package of napkins so it only cost me 35 cents for the smaller package.

    • Cheryl

Today only,  the Folgers was on sale for $7.77 and with the $1 coupon doubled, came to 5.77… that is the “good ole day” price of coffee! I love Folgers and Maxwell House… my favorites!

    • Tcecil0573

I went after work on Thursday to the High Point, NC Harris Teeter and the shelves were empty on all the really great deals.  I would go again but HT is 30 minutes away and unless I can be sure the items are going to be there…it really isn’t worth the gas….Kind of disappointed.

    • T.F.

Where did you find the coupon for coffee?

    • Barre

If something is buy one get one free, can I use two $1.00 coupons?

The Ore Ida Fries are BOGO at $3.59 – I have two coupons, so would both of those be free if I could use two coupons?

      • Sarah

Yup. It didn’t used to be that way, but the policy now states that you can use two coupons on a BOGOF deal.

    • Nerrad

HT is doing a much better job this time restocking during Super Doubles.  I hit my store this morning and got my “higher ticket” items:

2/Nestle morsels -eVic special, Zcoupon and paper Q
Downy Unstopables – Zcoupon and paper Q
4/Hormel Completes – on sale and paper Q
2/Carnation Evap. Milk – Zcoupon and paper Q
3/12 mega roll Scott XSoft – on sale and paper Q
Crest mouthwash – on sale, ZCoupon and paper Q
4/Laughing Cow wedges – eVic and paper Q
      3/Ristorante pizzas – BOGO and paper Q
2/ICBINB tub margarine – on sale and paper Q
2/Nestle refrigerated cookies – on sale, Zcoupon and paper Q
2/Philly cooking cream – eVic special and paper Q
2/Smart Balance milk – on sale and paper Q
Coffeemate Bliss – on sale, Zcoupon and paper Q
      HT brand 1/2 and 1/2 – no Q :(

$39.06 after all discounts/Q’s —> and $16 of that was toilet paper!
Not bad at all!  I went with a freind for the 1st time today and allowed her to use the Tide and Folger’s eVic deal and the paper Q’s I had ~ it’s all about creating good “Coupon Karma!!”

      • Sugababi514

I agree, mine has been much less disappointing this time around! Glad to see they’re keeping it well stocked!

    • Martha

Where is the 1/2 Ortega Q on the Ortega website.  I’ve registered and responded to their new member e-mail but I can’t find the Q on the website in order to print.  Can anyone help?

    • Nita Royal

After being out of town on a family emergency, I finally got to HT this evening, not expecting much.  Didn’t even use the lists, as it would have taken me a while to go through them.

Still, got $97.41 in groceries for 24.45 and got back the $4 Catalina. Love that free Smart Balance milk, and almost free Chex cereal – got breakfast covered for at least 2 weeks ;-)

    • Anonymous

I found a tear pad in the produce section for $1.00 off fruit when you buy Marzetti Carmel Apple Dip. It was on a Marzetti dip display. I used the $1.00 Marzetti apple dip and the $1.00 off fruit and both were doubled.  I paid about $1.29 for apples and dip.

    • Jan of nc

FYI, I’ve been checking my Zcoupons (eVic online coupons) and some of them have been reloading after I use them.  So, I’ve been able to use the Stouffer’s Zcoupon and the Carnation Zcoupon several times already!

    • Sarahoconnor

Allright, I thought the eVIC coupons were the same for everyone, but I didn’t have a Stouffer’s coupon and someone else mentioned a Laughing Cow coupon that I would have loved to have had!  Bummer!

      • Tracie

You will be as bummed as I was to learn some people got EVIC for a FREE Butterball Turkey.  I was not one of them so I was not happy with that one, better luck next time.

        • Anonymous

Oh, well…I’ve saved so much this week, I can certainly afford my turkey.  :)  I love Super Doubles!

    • Guest

Is the Nutella deal a good deal? The $3.99 is for the small jar. With $1 q, it’s $1.99.

      • Tracie

I doubt you’ll get it for a better deal before the coupon expires.  I’m buying a few because my daughter loves it, so for me I can’t pass it up.

        • Guest

          Thank you!

    • Nita Royal

Catalina question:  If I use the Blue Diamond Cat that printed yesterday, and try to do the deal again, will that stop another catalina from printing?  Or is that just a WAGS phenomenon?  Thanks!

      • Sugababi514

No, it won’t stop it from printing. I’ve done that 3 times already. Just make sure to only buy 4 eligible Blue Diamond products in each transaction, you’ll only get one catalina. (If you buy 8, you still only get 1, made this mistake already.)

        • Nita Royal

Thanks Sugababi & couponking – I followed your instructions and it worked fine.

        • Silke_ison

So I did get 4 of the blue diamond products and I did not get my Catalina even though it was working all week….went to Coustomer service and the lady there told me that they are complementary coupons?? I thought its a promotion and a manufacture coupon….what should I do?

      • couponking

No it will not!  As long as you make the purchases in separate transactions, you receive the catalina EVERY time.

    • Ms. Susan here from the West Columbia S.C. Walgreens on Augusta Road. Just want to let couponers know that if you would like to recieve Special Deals by email that you wont see any where elese, there is a box at my register to put your email address in. I can do this for anyone interested if you send me your email address to ssnracine@yahoo.com   and you will recieve a coupon for $5.00 off a $25.00 in store purchase via-email just for signing up. I would be glad to do this for anyone interested.

      • Sarah

I don’t mean to be rude…but should you really be posting this on an entry that has nothing to do with Walgreen’s? Seems kind of inconsiderate to Jenny to spam her stuff.

        • Guest

I thought Jenny advertised for Walgreens too? Now I am confused. :-(

          • Sarah

She does, but this post is about the Harris Teeter Super Doubles event. I’m sure Susan meant no. harm…it just rubbed me a little funny.

            • Guest

Thanks, Susan! Nice of you to help couponers out!

      • guest

What a nice gesture. I like you have posted on numerous pages – not everyone might read the Walgreen’s pages, or see this if they did. You’re certainly being nice to shoppers in your area who use coupons – which is not always the case based on what  I often read.

    • Sarah

Lots of hot items in stock @ the Cox Rd. store in Gastonia, NC! Ore-Ida, Carpet Fresh, Dawn, Kettle chips not in danger of being empty anytime soon. No Heinz ketchup, but otherwise a great trip with friendly employees :)

      • Thats my store too! Im going tomorrow for one last trip during the promotion.

    • J Yauniek

I finally got my coupons built back up from losing my entire binder at HT two super doubles ago. Thanks to everyone who offered to help me get more coupons! This super doubles has been great for me because I was actually able to get a lot of items on my list. First time getting the smart balance milk. Couldn’t believe it lol. Wasn’t able to get the ristorante pizzas but thats okay. The free heinz ketchup and free fries are good enough for me. Those coupons were $1 off heinz and $1 off of ore ida from smartsouce(dot)com

      • A&M_Mommy

What zip code are you using on smartsource?  I live in NC and neither the heinz or ore ida show up in my zipcode.  Thanks!

        • J Yauniek

I printed them using my zipcode 22304 as soon as Jenny posted that they were available. I can’t see if they are still there as I printed my max.

      • Anonymous

We’ll be eating free fries and ketchup for a while!  :)

    • Just4yall

Fayetteville, Nc Purchased the Raleigh News & Observer from the Box at the post office near down town Fayetteville and no Smart Souce insert for the 3rd week in a row anyone else having this problem, do you think it is a promblem with the newspaper or do you someone emptying all of the newspapers?

      • tgirl

i’m sure someone is emptying all the newspapers. it is very possible.

        • Teshiaflynn

I don’ think that someone is stealing them.. I was having this problem too so I called the newspaper. They said “only home subscribers are guaranteed all the coupons and adds the home subscribers are first priority and they get everything and the rest gets the leftovers.”

      • britta

In Wilmington, NC, I got a RP, but no SS. I assumed the paper was put together improperly.

        • Anonymous

Made me soooo mad! I bought 8 Star news from the box. All only had the Smart Source, NO red plum.  My mom’s she bought at gas station had both.  Really good Q in RP for paper towels too… bummed!

          • Lmlogan1

I had the same problem. All RP not SS :(

      • Deal Diva

I purchased 8 Asheboro papers today that were all supposed to have the Smart Source insert in them from the paper box.  When I got home I discovered I was missing 3 smart source inserts.  I am so mad I spent $8.00 on papers and got stiffed!  It is so disgusting someone can’t spend an extra few dollars on papers to get the extra coupons they want and instead they have to steal someone elses coupons.

      • Deal Diva

      • Nita Royal

I stopped at a convenience store, where they had stacks of N&Os……after looking through about 2 dozen of them, I was convinced that the SS just wasn’t part of this week’s paper.  Did find them in our smaller, local paper!

        • Towman7

i never buy the local paper i always buy charlotte observer and i have never been without coupons i suposed to get.but hickory daily record was always short or just didnt have the good one like the observer.

      • Lgagoodman

Same thing has happened to me 2 weeks in a row.  I am in New Bern and bought a N and O and NO Smartsource!!!!

        • Solstice

I am in New Bern also, and no smartsource for me either 2 weeks in a row. Are we sure there should have been? Where do you buy your paper?

          • Lgagoodman

I buy at the gas station on MLK with the Subway inside- close to the high school- I am a bit frustrated

            • Solstice

And I buy at the gas station by Arby’s on MLK. How frustrating! Hope this isn’t a trend! 2 weeks ago, there were actually better coupons in the Sun Journal then the N&O!

      • KP

normally I get the news & observer, but i was out of town. Smart Source was in the fay observer. so i guess it is a good thing i was out of town lol

      • Debbi

I’m all in Fayetteville and the Paragliders were also stripped of all coupons. Only the commissiary coupons were there. GRRRRRR

        • Debbi

oops….meant to write “also”…..I get the Observer delivered and all the coupons were there but I didn’t buy any additional papers. I saw all the Paragliders at HT had NO coupons except for the Commissiary.

      • Katie

I got the SS in my Raleigh news and observer…. I got them in the one I had delivered and the one I picked up at the store… I’m not sure why they were not in the paper you got.

      • lizbeth5612

I have 3 papers delivered in Fayetteville all 3 no SS. Called and had 3 more brought out to the house and no SS. Went to HT and got the Raleigh N&O and no SS!! I am wondering if someone is taking them.

    • britta

Not sure if it has been mentioned anywhere. My HT has Duracell AA coppertop 4pk for $2.99. There is a $.75 coupon and a $.75 e-vic coupon. I paid $.74 for batteries!

      • Guest

They have been sold out at my store. :(

    • Mcgowan

Got “clarification” (?) of a coupon policy today…my HT said they won’t honor Internet printed B1G1 coupons.  This speaks to their printed policy of not accepting coupons for “Free” items. Hmm, just used one before but I wasn’t arguing. Just thanked them for the clarification, but….anyone else run into this?
otherwise I’m doing Verrry well this week…finding all of the items on my Wish list!

      • Tmom

I ran into it.  I got one thing for free, then next day was told no free items on internet coupons.  I guess it depends on your cashier selection. I’m not knocking the cashiers, their all wonderful!

      • Debbi

I’ve been using B1G1 Internet coupons every day at HT for the Zone Bars. No problem yet.

    • Ab

Can a e-vic coupon be used more than once? For example if i have to 2 febreze air  effects coupons manufactures. Does the e coupon work for both or just one.

      • Towman7

not that i know of most of the time it is off my list when i get home but a few times it was yet and i removed and saved again and got to use it again.but it can be used only one time, one item. it will work only for one of those items.

    • Ab

With the i cant believe its not butter coupon that came out a couple of days ago, does anyone know how much it is?

      • Klbarnes28

Free for the sticks. 59 cents for the tub.

      • Tracie

you can combine that with the free bread wyb 2 icbinb Q. I was able to get a free loaf, but my mother in law was told she could not use them together.  Its worth the try.

    • has anyone did the yo crunch deal ? a little while ago I got a $1/4 yo crunch yogurts. they’re $.70 cents making them $.20 a piece

    • Sufia315

im pretty new at this but i wanted to give it a try- to my luck the ketchup was all gone, my store didnt supply the smaller Gold Peak Tea, and there were a couple more milks left but there was a lady with 2 kids in front of it who grabbed 2 so i waited thinking shed move her cart but then she grabbed 2 more, so i reached over to get 1 of the last 2 in there and she shook her head and said ohhh no im sorry honey im gonna be needing the rest of these..i kinda just stood there haha i wasnt sure how to feel so i just did a fake laugh, all i wanted was 1! do people go real crazy and get mean during this week or was that kinda a rare experience? i did leave with the store with 2 of the sponges for a buck each though at least. Also, people say to get rainchecks but how does it work when the coupon expires by the time next super double comes around?

      • Debbi

Wow that is pretty rude. There are hoarders who clear shelves and leave nothing for anyone else but the vast majority share. I had a lady give me mayonnaise coupons the other day. Normally a jar is $5.65 and since it was B1G1 plus the $1 coupon she gave me doubled, I only paid 65 cents for it. She actually gave me 5 coupons and then gave my friend 5 too. I’ve had plenty of other people share coupons and I’ve reciprocated.

      • guest

if the lady was in front of you there isn’t much you can do – the first person to a product gets it – pretty much the way it works.
Shelves can be cleared quite quickly on “hot’ items – especially those that are free or close to it. It doesn’t take many shoppers at 3 per to clear a shelf. The limits at Teeter do help to prohibit one person from clearing the shelf. Keep in mind the coupon limit is 3 – a person can purchase as many of an item as they want. The smart balance milk price is good, many people are buying it without a coupon.
As far as rainchecks – they do not expire, as you see, some coupons may expire before the item is back in stock – you DO NOT have to wait until the next SD to use a RC – use it as soon as the item is available

        • Sufia315

Thanks for that info guest! Do you mean to say with a raincheck the $1.50 coupon will still double even without SD? Well, the lady was sort of in front of me, but when she turned around the second time i put my hand in there and actually pulled it forward(not knowing she even wanted more) and then she grabbed it from there. She had coupons and said she bought the kids along just so they each can get 2. I mean i understand people are in need in these tough times but how do u know that im not? ( im not, but still i could have been!)..debbi, that is really awsome! I gave a few of my free ones away because i didnt need ketchup and such and ppl were actually thankful which felt neat.Guess ill have to give it another shot next SD! :)

I can’t find the Nestle Morsels coupon in my RP from yesterday.  Is anyone else missing theirs??  And of courses none of the printable ones still work…

      • jsmom

Where do you live? I have several of that coupon and live in Charlotte.

        • Juliap1025

Thank you all for your replies!  I am in Raleigh – thanks so much though, jsmom!  I don’t have the ZVR coupon when I look at my Evic coupons.  I’m gonna look again.  And I knew I forgot something last weekend when they were on Evic special…

      • trianglemom

I did not get the Nestle Morsels coupon in the Raleigh N&0.  The $0.50/2 printable just worked for me.  I have a $0.75/2 ZVR and its one of my 4-day Evics @ $1.97.

        • Kennemere

I bought two bags last Saturday when it was 1.97 Saturday e-vic special. Used a .50 coupon and the .75 ZVR and ended up paying 1.10 a bag. SWEET!

        • Juliap1025

What do you mean it’s one of your 4-day Evics?  I thought Evic specials were only for the weekend?  Also, I don’t have the ZVR when I’m on my HT account…

    • Marglenna

The only problem with super doubles week is that HT NEVER restocks during that time. It kind of wears me out!

      • Autumn0229

me too! I asked about this last week- the manager told me that they do re-stock on friday overnight and monday overnight BUT usually when there are really good coupons for something- they can order it all day long but it’s not stocked in the warehouse so they don’t get it for at least a week or so. Ex- Smart Balance milk- he said they usually only order 10 for the week and some stores only order every other week because it’s usually not a big seller… BUT during super doubles every store orders the max and tries to re-order, etc and the warehouse doesn’t hold that many- they have to get the re-stock driven in from across the country and it takes about a week- which puts us back outside super doubles :(

      • Kadiaa

that is so true. HT dont restock, and if its a free item forget about it. it stays in the back. until the sale is over.

    • Ab

I know Harris Teeter doesnt allow free internet coupons. But will they take the “free bread” when you buy 2 “I cant believe its not butter?”

      • Parkersmom70

I used mine Saturday with no problem.

      • Deal Diva

I tried to use mine the other day and they would not take it.  They said they do not accept internet coupons for free items.

      • Mommyapril

I used mine with no issues.  It takes $2 off at the register.

      • lizbeth5612

I used mine and found one someone left and used it the next day.

    • Jvchbrown

Live in fay nc. wondering where you can get the $10 off $50 coupons for harris teeter?

      • S.B.

You can get them from Recyclebank, an online site that teaches you how to go green and save money, etc. Join Recyclebank with me and lets double the impact! Here is a link (I can get points for referring you!) You should then post to your facebook (using your OWN account referral to get more points).

    • Ab

Is the coupon policy only two printable coupons per transaction or two printable coupons per item.

      • tryn2sav

        It’s two per item.

      • tgirl

        PER ITEM PER TRANSACTION

      • Alyson

And not just printable; mine wont’ take more than 2 like coupons

    • Lauramichelledriscoll

Anyone know of ANY stores in the Raleigh/Durham, NC area that still have any wolfgang puck sauce left?  I’ve been to 7 stores and none…:(

      • guest

Get a raincheck. This item is soicked by the vendor – not HT – and you know they have very little shelf space. My coupons expire 12/31/11.

      • S.B.

YES! Tryon Road and Kildaire Farm Road (both in Cary though) has them in stock but they go quickly everytime they restock. You can call any HT store before going.

      • tgirl

    • Mywolfcubs3

I must admit I am in Asheville nc and the store here has done pretty good at keeping stocked as best as they could. I have been two times now. and plan on going in the morning. Now some items like the chinet plates wasnt restocked but the manager said it is because the warehouse was out. But over all I am very pleased with the store.

      • cd

The Chinet plates that are free are on closeout at my Charlotte store so they may not get anymore in-just a headsup.

    • Mywolfcubs3

what size is the ketchup that u can get for free? a while back bi-lo had the 32 oz on sale for $1.68. i had gotten a rain check and with the $1 off,  that makes it only .68!!! im thinking that might be a better deal.

    • Jblevin0

      • Ginamity

Mine doesn’t… only if it’s like $5 off $25.  But not regular ECB’s.  Call your store and find out.

    • tgirl

PLS ANYONE KNOW OF WHICH STORE IN RALEIGH/CARY/DURHAM AREA HAS THE PASEO TISSUE?

      • S.B.

        • tgirl

          thanks

    • CJ_Mom

Tried the use the coupon for Sara Lee Honey Wheat Bread, only to discover that it says do not double of triple on it.  UGH!

      • FrugalCedes

If the barcode number starts with a 5, it will double or triple even if it states it won’t. If it starts with a 9, it won’t.

    • Peidismith

    • Barre

I have been couponing for … about the last six months and have built up a nice stockpile, I did very well this time with super doubles.  I’m trying to find baby items: diapers, food etc, for my sister in law.  She is pregnant and due in March 2012, so I’m trying to build her a nice little stockpile too.  However, I guess my question is, is there a way to get cheap or relatively inexpensive baby items through couponing too?  I have coupons but I have not seen any sales that would make it worth while.  Any help is appreciated.

      • Twellwoman

Yes and no.  Cheerios has some boxes with $1.50 off coupons printed on the box, so always buy those if you can.  Once in a while HT does an EVIC special with jumbo packs for like $4.77. so minus $1.50= $3.25 or so. Target will have mailers and you can stack Target coupons + Mfr coupons, & sometimes there will be a giftcard promotion in addition, so always read their fliers & watch for Jenny’s postings on them.  Also, although I feel like they are not well priced usually, Babies R Us has a rewards program where if you buy like 9 value boxes, the 10th is free, and they accept coupons & will often do a giftcard deal as well. If you ign up for Enfamil beginnings they send you all sorts of coupons, and you can get good coupons through Beech+Nut, Proctor & Gamble, etc.Diapers are super expensive any which way I’ve seen it, so you really do have to stock up when they’re cheap or fork over a bunch for the huge boxes. Spread the word if you find a deal!!

    • Twellwoman

Gotta love those EVic coupons!!  I bought the Crest toothpaste & Mouthwash because I had $1-2 coupons, not even remembering that I had Evics for both, bought the mouthwash for $4.49-$2Q=$2.49 & toothpaste for $2.99 – $1 Qx2= 0.99, & got ZVR $1, $5 & $2 taken off at the register= FREE+ $4.52 profit!!!  Awesome!  I went shopping 5 times this week and saved on average 62% every time.  Loving my stockpile of 80-cent cereal, Free Philly cooking creme, Free Ore-Ida, Free Smart Balance Milk, Aveeeno & Neutrogena Lotions, Gillette shaving gel, etc.  Thank you so much for all your help, Jenny!!

      • Guest

wow, going to the grocery store 5 times in a week? Why did you need to go that often? Do you always go that many times during the super double coupons? I went once and I am never going again. The good deals were gone by the time I got off work? I like HT on regular sales.

        • guest

I went to the store every day. Used my 20 coupons and saved hundreds of dollars on products we will use over the next 2-3 months. The first day I concentrate on the free and almost free items. Each trip thereafter are the good deals at a stockup price. Toilet paper, dish soap, dishwaher detergent, milk, crackers, the deals were excellent. Myself and 2 sisters shopped together all week – fun to help each other.

    • Kimberly

This is a wonderful website for couponing. I was told by another advertiser to buy only what I need and I’d save money. This was the reason for couponing. I only shop once or twice a week during this “mega-event”. I only get one or two of an item, and I share if I get more than one.  Going to the grocery store everyday in a week is crazy. Is this a fad or psycho problem, going everyday? I am shocked … I’ve seen poor people that didn’t get there early enough to get a freebie. I see people with 7 vic cards. None of this makes sense to me at all. Some people are even having health problems because they are buying things they never bought before and now have high cholestrol. What is with all this???

      • guest

Kim, you’ve lumped a lot together. Separate the good from the bad.
I concur – too many eat stuff they shouldn’t – I think they will coupons or not. Pop-tarts, frozen food laden with calories, fat and sodium, sugary foods – people eat this, and give it to their kids. Not my choice, these are adults who have a right to make their own decisions. I cringe when i see the baskets – almost like they can’t read the labels. We know they know – in the end not my business.

For many, going to the store everyday during an event such as SD is not crazy – it is a way to maximize their savings. 20 coupons a day up to 1.98 face value, then doubled is a substantial savings. Average 1.50 x 20 x 2 = 60 a day or 420 a week in savings. Nothing crazy about that at all.

as far as 7 vic cards – who knows – the limit is 1 per household. Did you report this to the manager on duty and let them investigate? yes, i suspect many try and usurp the rules. I’m not their policeman or mother so let it go.

Don’t paint all coupon use with a broad brush – just like everything in life there are many aspects.

        • Kim

No, actually I have heard people say, “it’s free… so why not?” It’s not that the people I have talked to need these free things, but they get them because they are free… and they got a lot of these free things. But they have a couple people in the family with 7 vic cards. And they go to all these events. And now one has a health problem. I am speaking from what i know…not a guess. Really, it’s greed taking over the priority, which at one time was health. But greed is what it is….

        • Kim

Regardless, no way to justify 20 coupons a day times 7. That is 140 coupons a day. Everyday! That is greed. That is not maximizing savings. No matter how you look at it… and when you have to get someone to go with you to help with the 140 coupons and do it everyday, that is absurd. How many people do this?

          • guest

You are mnistaken. 20 coupons a day for 7 days does not equal 140 coupons a day, it is 140 for the week. Certainly not greedy – it is smart to try and save money.
If people like to shop together, why not? Read again.

Do some people abuse the system? of course. Does that mean everyone who uses 20 coupons a day is doing so? Of course not.

Instead of painting everyone with the same broad brush realize that the people to which you refer are the exception, not the norm. Their bad choices should in no way lead you to believe everyone make those same bad choices.

    • Kim

can we get next weeks ad please… in suspense here.
