Ingles in Seneca, SC has failed to give me catalinas every time unless I ask for them. One day I noticed at least 5 or 6 on the counter where other people had not recieved thiers. Yesterday, I had a two dollar Catalina for buying Totinos, plus two other coupons that I was going to ask for after I recieved my change. When I looked down to ask for them they had disappeared! I was stunned and just left. I plan on calling the customer service number on the reciept Monday. I have had different cashiers each time. Wonder if this is a local store policy? Wonder what they do with them?

      • Mommyof2SC

I've had the same problem in Greer, SC I see them printing out while they are scanning my groceries, but by the time they are bagged and I pay, they disappear. I had just assumed they were put in my bag or something. I asked for them one time and the kid said they just throw them away. Ingles is closest to me, but I'm not happy with them. I prefer to just drive further to Publix or BiLo

        • DC

The other week I was buying 4 Kraft to get the $4 catalina and didn't think about it at the check-out. When I got home I found 3 different cats in 3 different bags, but none of them were the $4 cat I was expecting. I don't know if it didn't print, or if they held on to that one, but needless to say, I was not happy.

      • momto2boys

Part of the problem at Ingles (at least the one near me) is that all the cashiers seem to be teenagers and there are never any managers around. They are careless about scanning coupons and could care less about giving you catalinas.

    • shocked

Sorry, just noticed that the Totinos deal is expired. Still, I wonder what happened to my three coupons (or whatever they were) and why they did not give them to me.

    • Jenny, are they still tripling this week? Just noticed in the “about the store section” it says triples :)

      • Shannon Ramsey

They tripled last week. It ended on Saturday

    • LauraBo

Is the General Mills deal $5 off when you spend $15?

      • Suzanne

The ad states save $5 instantly when you buy any 15 participating General Mills products featured on this page in a single shopping visit using your advantage card. Limit one offer per transaction.

    • Marty

Went to Ingles in North Carolina, they would not take my coupons. Ask for the manager. He said Take Them. She said I”m not going to You do it, and walked off. The manager had to ring me out.

      • KAWilson

Wow….I hope she kept walking right out the door — stores don't need employees like that….. she would be fired for sure if I was that manager.

    • Josiept

I called my local Ingles (Athens, TN) & they said they are not tripling coupons this wk. You need to check with your store. I ask if they would honor this ad and they said no but their weekly flyer is very similar to last wks specials. Just an FYI for your coupons clippers.

      • Mdgirl

Thanks for telling me before I made up my list. I did get a few triple things last week, but I could a used more.

    • Lauren

There's a catalina deal for Fruit by the Foot, buy 3 get $1.50 off your next order, buy 4 get $2.50, 5+ get $3.50

      • Lauren

Update: This deal actually starts tomorrow 6/14, sorry for any confusion!

    • Lanavdixon

I wish bI had saved my .50/1 Old El Paso coupons for this-aargh! Anyone know the zip for the .60/1 Old El Paso-I can't find it.

      • Cashstrappedmom

I saw it once and didn't print it! But, found a .50/1 under zip 90210

    • Nicholeesposito

The manager at the Duncan SC Ingles said the Triples ended on Saturday. Also they did not give me my catalinas either last time I went in. They do not seem to be very coupon friendly. Although last week when I went for my triple coupons, I wanted to get the Frenches dipping sauce and the wacky mac cuz it was gonna be free. They were out so the customer service lady took it off my bill as a double. I didn't get the items but I saved an extra $2.

    • You have to ask for the catalinas. At least you do at my store (sweetwater, TN) And they will not accept bogo coupons printed online.

    • Sarah Nichols

I hate Ingles it's not even worth me spending time to cut coupons and go in there. I would rather go to Walmart without coupons than go into another Ingles ever.

    • Melissa

Just a head's up – I opened an email from Ingles this AM – listed in subject as a special email with deals unique to my InglesAdvantage card – there were a couple good deals on there. Thinking that they may be trying to get on Harris Teeters e-vic idea. So check your email or spam folders if you are signed up to recieve their emails.

    • Katie

      Does Ingles allow “stacking” coupons?

      • AH

You can use one store and one manufacture coupon.

    • Cbmom2heather

ok new to the coupon clipping…what is a catalina?? and i have always used ingles b/c i have 2 really close to me but i only go there for small things i use the central walmart next to me b/c it seems i can get soooo much more for way cheaper and its only like a 10 min drive…what other stores are more coupon friendly b/c i am getting teh idea ingles is not??!

      • Melissa

A “catalina” coupon is one that prints from the machine at the register – sometimes they are for $ off a particular item you might buy, other times they are for $$ off your next purchase that you earned from purchasing an specific item or # of items. I used to not pay them much attention, but now I do. Sometimes I get them and know I am going to get them, other times it is a nice suprise! Last week I had one print for $4 off Cottonelle Ultra, and this week it was on sale for $5.99 for a 12 ct dbl roll pack @ my BiLo, so I got it for $1.99 – nice!
As for coupon friendly stores, I find my Harris Teeter and BiLo to be better than Ingles (I live in the Asheville NC area) – if you have a Publix, I hear they are great too!

      • Geego

I like Publix and Bilo the best for coupon shopping! I shop some at Ingles too but only for sale items. I never grocery shop at Walmart anymore. All of my produce and things I need that are not on sale anywhere I usually buy at Bi-lo to go towards my fuel perks.

    • Erin Hulsey

Alot of these coupons I could not find in my coupon book????

    • Tammy

I am a super couponer in FL. Ishop primarily at Publix and CVS. My mom lives in N. GA and she only has a BiLo and an Ingles. I am going to stay with her for a week and want to buy groceries. Which store should I use? It looks like BiLo has the best deals, but she says Ingles is “cleaner”…please advise!

      • Barbthewire

I live in Blairsville and shop at both right now Ingles is in process of remodeling the store so it is aggravating. But I only buy what is on sale at Bilo because if not to me you pay more there than you would at Ingles.

        • Tammy

I will be in Blairsville. My mom likes Ingles better, but it seems the coupon policy from BiLo is more like Publix in FL.

          • Barbthewire

As I have gotten more heavy into couponing I do like Bi-Lo better than Ingles. They double coupons up to .60 cents and on top of that they have the Fuel Perks where you get so many cents off a gallon of gas depending on what you spend. Just keep an eye on their weekly ad at Bi-Lo.

    • rosewood4

what is the best way to work the General Mills deal, I keep trying to come up with a few scenarios but it's just not coming out as low as I would like, does anyone have any ideas?

      • Emily

I have 5 Betty Crocker Fruit Snack Qs so I'm doing this…

5 Fruit by the Foot $1.50
        5 Fruit Snacks $1.50
        2 Pillsbury Crescents $1
3 Old El Paso Seasoning Packets $0.66
        Total $18.98 -$5 Instant Savings = $13.98

        (5) $0.50/2 Fruit Snack Qs (doubles) -5.00
        (2) $0.70/1 cresent coupons, printable a while back -1.40
total $7.58 plus get a $3.50 catalina for buying 5 fruit by the foot
        Grand Total $4.08

    • Barbthewire
