We just bought an old travel trailer we are fixing up and plan on taking out camping before the summer is over. I love riding bikes on trails and campgrounds. So much fun! Sadly, I still have my childhood bike. HAHA! I want my 4 yr old and 2 yr old to have a love for the outdoors and fitness in general. Bike riding is such an awesome way to experience both. What better way to teach my children to stay active than leading by example.

Having relocated recently from NC to FL we did not have room to bring everything we wanted.  My husband and I chose to leave our bicycles in the cold mountains but definitely bring our twin boys’ bikes.  Now that we live on flat ground we have just taught them to ride without training wheels.  Now mom and dad need new bicycles so we can go all over our neighborhood! Also, dad says he wants to start riding to his work, which is about 3 miles away for health benefits (he recently had a scare with chest pains that took him to the ER).

    • Ashley B

My children have bikes and have wanted me to go bike riding with them. I do not have a bike in workin gorder so I am unable to ride bikes with them. • ayisha080374

    • Esyke623

Oh my goodness!  I would love to have a bike!  When I was a kid we didn’t have much money, so I got an old bike from the dump and fixed it up.  I painted the tires to make them “white-wall” ones, I sanded down the chrome and wired the chain together (bad idea!) and oiled the brakes.  I loved it so much.  I named it “Rusty.”  :)  I literally wore it out.  I’d love to have another one to wear out by going for long rides!

    • Janiesommers

I’m currently hoping to be hired at my neighborhood brach of the public library, and it’s a 10 minute bike ride from my house. It’s also centrally located to a WD, A WAGS, a RA and another grocerty story, so it would be great to have the bike to travel so easily from place to place as I completed my shopping and not worry about parking!

    • PamO

I would love to have a bike for exercise.  I have bad knees and bike riding is one of the best exercises.  I would ride in my neighborhood and maybe lose the extra pounds.  Thank you Tanga and Southern Savers

    • Pocohontaswhite

      In a park

    • Hkitty_65

A friend started riding a bike 2 yrs. ago and became hooked within a few months. She has begged me to join her on rides with her group (KnoxRevolution) but I have balked each time. Now, my husband and I are noticing how badly we need to lose wt + I want my b/p to go down & prevent adding chol medicine. We started walking/our boys ride their bikes. I even rode my 13 yr olds bike last Sat. to make sure I remembered how!  I think I’m ready to become one of the bike people :-) Plus we discovered we can walk or ride a trailway we have been doing to our YMCA…bonus!

    • Nikkipel

I would ride it to the job site with the kids.

    • I would use it to ride my son back and forth to school. Parking is going to be impossible and unfortunately there isn’t a bus to take him back and forth. So I have been thinking about getting a bike and one of those kiddie trailers to tow him. So this would save me a lot of money!

    • Tennille

Well it just so happens I need a source of transportation. My husband’s company is taking away all company vehicle’s and because we have a very large amount of medical debt because our 2 year old has a major medical illness we are unable to get a loan. Therefore, my husband is taking my vehicle and leaving me with nothing. I guess a bike would at least get me to the grocery store and drug store.

    • Tina M

       around the neighborhood

    • Natalie O.

I loved riding my bike as a kid. I would ride to work, to church, to Kroger for more watermelon, to Sonic for happy hour, to the pool for swim lessons and water aerobics. I’ve even seen bike trainers that would let me bike indoors all winter.

I would ride it everywhere I could, to the park, to the pool, to the grocery store!!  I am having hip pain issues and
just got laid off, so no more health insurance, no more physical therapy.  While walking hurts,
      bike riding doesn’t.

    • Htaylor32

I really could use a new bike to get my daily exercise in! My old bicycle has been used and abused over the years by my son and only the front brake now works and back tire is now flat! I definitely would get good use out of a new bike and ride it everyday as part of my daily 30 minute exercise routine around the subdivision!  Right now I have to borrow my daughter’s bicycle which doesn’t feel right since she bought that with her babysitting money!

Last year I had a double knee replacement. This year I’ve re-introduced exercise back into my life. The sense of freedom I get from biking is incredible.  Makes me feel like I’m 12 years old again. I would love to ride the Polaris daily around my community, to do errands and even take it on vacation. Cycling in Provence is my ultimate fantasy.

    • Jennifer W.

I would ride my bike round my neighborhood. We have a nice canal with an exercise path. My kids love to join me. With the Polaris, we could so much more, like bike trails.

    • Glenda

I would love to ride the beautiful bike around my neighborhood, show it off to  friends, and let them know how lucky I am to have won this much needed bike,  I have recently lost many pounds and am trying really hard to keep it off and this new bike would help keep me in shape as I ride it around the neighborhood each day.   Thanking you in advance.

I am already a avid cyclist. I ride almost everyday. Which means I’ll actually put this bike to use. I have a decent bike that is a Craigslist find. But, with this much nicer bike I can ride farther and feel more confident when I take my toddler ridding with me. And my hubby can ride my other bike. :) I ride because it’s relaxing, fun, great for my health, and the environment. I would ride my bike on an adventure exploring my town. :)

    • Rerdmann2

If I won the bike, I would go bike riding with me daughter around the neighborhood. I have been wanting one, but with times being tight sometimes it is hard even to make ends meet. Thanks Jenny for all you do.

I recently moved to Arkansas from another country. As soon as we arrived we fell in love with the landscapes and all of the opportunities to explore them! My husband and I have been wanting to get out and get active and believe it or not the first idea that came to me was to buy a bike. But with the recently moving our entire lives to the united states there are expenses that we accounted for and unnacounted for so we had to put the bike thing on pause. The point is we would ride the bike around every single trail, road or back road we can find so we can get active and start exploring this beautiful country! By the way my husband has even been invited by his co-workers to go mountain biking so this would be a great opportunity to do so! Thank you!
