    • Stefluvs2sign

FYI Winn Dixie St. Petersburg Fla will not allow you to use a store coupon with a manufacturer's coupon on same product.

      • Josh

How is that even possible? It's 2 totally different things. One is the store taking the hit, the other is the store getting money from the manufacturer. I would contact WD's corporate office about that.

      • are you sure it was a store coupon and not a retailer coupon? some of the coupons in the spring forward book are retailer coupons which start with a 5 and are counted as manufacturer coupons.

      • St Pete Saver

I shop at the St Pete Store and had no trouble stacking my store coupons and manufacturer's coupons last weekend.

I only had trouble there one time, but they corrected it. It was on the Boneless Chicken Breast/Philly Cooking Cream Deal. The scanner wouldn't take it so she tried telling me that they were both for the same item, when in fact the chicken had a coupon that took $1.50 off the chicken when you buy 1 Philly Cooking Cream, and I also had a $1.50 off the cooking cream coupon. So she called the mananger and he manually entered them for me, since they were essentially for two different items.

Since the chicken is B1G1 this week again it might be a deal you can take advantage of again if the chicken still has those coupons on them.

Buy 2 chicken breast packages and 2 Philly Cooking Cream
use 2 $1.50 of chicken wyb Philly Cook Cream – and –
use 2 $1.50/1 Philly Cooking cream (at that time they were $2.00 ea)
So if that is still the case – you spend 1.00 on two cooking creams and save $3.00 off one package of chicken breast and the 2nd one is free (since they are b1g1)

        I hope that made sense!

        • Saprek

Very good wording on the chicken-philly deal :) I can never figure it out when trying to explain coupons to someone.

    • wendyc33

remember the 2.00 pork ribs coupon wyb kc masterpiece. your getting the sauce for free when the .50/1 doubles. They acted like that for me with the store and manf coupons, but i told them I would take them to publix, because they would use them, and they took it off for me. lol. Im gonna find a coupon policy and see if its in there and take with me from now on. very aggravating, but if they want my business whats a few dollars?

    • Cathycm195

I forgot to pick up the milk when I got the cereal offer. Will the milk come off during the week when I present my card?

      • no. I would go back to customer service and explain the situation.

        • Cathycm195

thanks for the quick response. I'll definately go back and explain what happened.

      • Jamie

Usually, free items remain on your WD card until you redeem them. For instance, I bought some item that gave me free Resolve spray once, but they were out of the spray. I went back a few weeks later, bought the spray, and my card deducted its cost automatically. You can call the store to be sure, but that seems to be the case for me.

    • Dwsawyer

Winn Dixie needs to go ahead and shut down! I find it hard to believe that Luzianne or Tetley Family Size Tea Bags 24 count is regular priced at $7.99 each. Who would pay that price? Winn Dixie is doubling prices for their BOGOs! What a scam and rip off! We should call them out on it!

      • jessica

i have also definately noticed that the items are priced higher than normal when on BOGO, altho not usually double. i still think it's unfair tho, and in a way insulting to think that we as regular shoppers don't notice the price difference. with coupons usually you can still get a pretty good deal. which brings me to my next frustration~the spring forward coupon booklet. i haven't been able to use a single coupon from it without having a hard time. and it happens with or without stacking with manu coupons. i'm not usually one to be embarrassed if a coupon beeps if i made a mistake (it happens sometimes!), but when each one beeps and its not a mistake on my part and people are getting frustrated behind me, it's embarrassing! if it really is a mistake on winn-dixie's part with the ink thing mentioned by another poster, then they should tell their cashiers to just push the coupons thru and if a few get thru that shouldn't have been used, thats a small price to pay for not embarrassing their customers trying to use THEIR promotion. i'm taking the rest of my spring forward coupons to publix, where i won't be treated like a criminal for trying to use them. :)

        • Zarate06

Do you have a specific example of an item that you saw as regular price pre-sale and then the higher price during the bogo?

I read each week of people claiming this, but no one has ever actually given an example.

Now, don't get me wrong, I prefer to shop at Publix, find their policies easier, and save more money there. But, I also think WD is getting some bad raps based on some common misunderstandings of how their ad is worded.

        • Jennififteen

again…winn dixie places items at top suggested retail price during bogo sales. this is not a scam or an insult…it's a way for them to continue to make a profit. I agree pulix and kroger tend to have better deals but they are still better than walmart which is our only other option….hate walmart

      • Amy

Winn Dixie sometimes groups items together in their ad and then lists the 'savings' price as the price for the most expensive item in the group of products. In this case, the coffee is the $7.99 price. The tea bags are $2.39 (Tetley) and $2.29 (Luzianne).

        • guest

if that is the case, then how come the tetley tea coupon matchup listed underneath shows it to be 2.99 – 3.49 (depending on if your store doubles)? i have also seen them lump bogo's with items of different values and they do list the most expensive as your savings. so maybe the tetley deal is actually better than listed.

          • Amy

The math is based on the $7.99 price – one would be $3.99 – with .50 doubled coupon it would be $2.99 or without doubling $3.49. So, based on the price at my store, you could get them for 2/$1.39 or 2/.39 if your store doubles. Clear as mud?

            • Gracie

I agree….. BUT you can still sometimes get very good deals since WD will let you use a coupon on both items when it is B1G1. You just have to know your prices to figure out if it is a good deal. I only shop WD about once a month…. that's all I can justify driving 10 miles out of my way to go there. I really hate that I miss the deals for the first week of March. There were some really good ones I needed but I was out of town :/ FIGURES!

      • bkb1288

They do that with their meat too especially chicken breast !! They up the regular price and say you are getting B1G1 -I hate their policies and they always give me a hard time!! The Publix in Albany GA ROCKS!!! They are great!!

        • Zarate06

Last week I looked at the boneless, skinless chicken breast because my mother-in-law wanted me to pick her up a package. Regular price? $4.69/lb. This week? It is bogo $4.69/lb.

          I agree though, Publix rocks!

      • Zarate06

Amy also responded to this, but I thought I would chime in as well. Winn-Dixie in fact does NOT up their prices for bogo sales and they do not charge outlandish prices. Yes, their prices are higher than Publix but the ad can be misleading as to the original prices of the items. Like Amy said, they group things together and since Jenny doesn't shop at WD, all she has to go by is what the ad shows. It says “save UP TO $x.xx” but doesn't mean that all items listed in that group are that high.

        Hope that helps someone!

        • Wendy M

Winn Dixie DOES raise their prices for BOGO sales. Case in pint when I had to get a rain check one time and then I came back in, the price was lower the next week and they said that they didn't want let me use a coupon because I was getting regular price when the bogo price was higher. This was in madeira beach florida, not sure if all store s raise their prices but mine does. And they are always out of the products the first day. I usually do not shop their and do not get many rain checks because I do not want to have the same problem.

          • Jennifer

Couponing basics. Stores raise prices to top manufacturer suggested retail price for bogo sales. this is not a scam. you still will get it cheaper than you would at walmart or other retailers. Yes, Publix runs better sales overall, but in our area WD is the only store that doubles coupons. I love our wd and I get some great deals! They aren't doing this to “scam” anyone. they have to make money too. An example….Top retail price on an item is 3.99. Walmart sales it for 2.50 on a regular basis. Winn Dixie might have the same item for $3 everyday price. well for the bogo the put it up to 3.99 for two making it $2…so you still save more than walmart….its couponing basics.

      • Connie

I was at Winn Dixie today (in fla) and the Luzianne is $2.29 BOGO for the 24 ct family size. I didn't check the Tetley. While I do find Winn Dixie to be much higher priced than Publix on most items even during sales, there is an occasional great deal.

      • lawstro

If you look again, 12 oz. Caribou coffee is also listed as well as pictured. That is what is 7.99. Winn Dixie puts the price of the highest item listed when they say “save up to” Not a wise move on their part because most people, as you did, assume the tea is 7.99 each which of course would be insanely overpriced. If they're going to group different items together, they should at least be close in price to avoid this issue.

    • maj

winn dixies jasmine rice is $2-$3 higher than other stores so as their ice tea ( i think its C20—–forgot the exact name) …. wish they could lower the price of it… i want to do my grocery shopping just at winn dixie but its impossible coz some of their products is way too high compared to neighboring stores…

    • April

Caribou Coffee is posted in the ad for BOGO (pictured with the Tetly) for 5.99. Their coffee is amazing, there is a -$2 off Caribou coffee, 12 oz, SS 2/27. $1.99 for 2 bags of coffee! AWESOME! It is so good, my favorite in fact!

      • Yuleedoodledo

Thank you–did this last time it was BOGO–Awesome-Veronica

      • Tawanda

NOLA had it $7.99 for 2, so minuss 2 $2.00 coupons, it still wasn't a bad deal. My mom is thrilled!

    • Dustypyatt

Anybody find the KC Masterpeice Bogo?? I only saw the Kraft??

    • Lauren

In the SS 3/13 on the page with the KC Masterpiece coupon, there is a coupon for $3.50 off of pork WYB Kingsford charcoal and Hawaiian rolls. So you can get the ribs bogo for 6.99, plus the Kingsford deal, and hawaiian rolls. So (6.99-3.50) + 9.99 + (I think about) 3 = $16.48 for charcoal, 2 racks of ribs, hot dogs, buns, chips, mustard, and rolls. Not bad.

      • Jennififteen

awe…that one must be regional :( not in mine

    • Jmb2309

I had a friend who I am teaching to coupon who was doing the deal buy the friskies dry cat food get the tidy cat free a week or so ago. I gave her a coupon for the friskies and tidy cat. She went to use them and she said they wouldn't take the one for the tidy cat. The cashier said this is free you can't use a coupon on a free item. Is this normal there? I just started doing the make a meal deals at winn dixie and does this mean I can't use a coupon on the items on the deal that you get free? How is it different than using two coupons on a bogo free? Or should she have taken it to the manager.

I have been told that if you scan your extra care card last, after the coupons, then the system will accept both coupons. I had the same problem a while ago buying b1g1 toothbrushes with b1g1 coupons, and they just manually overrode it.

Heather's comment is correct. If you have them scan your card LAST, after your items & coupons have been scanned, then there won't be a problem. (When your card is scanned first, the free items show up as $0.00 in the system & a coupon will be rejected.) You may be blessed to get a cashier that will or knows how to override that, but I never count on that. Scanning the card last just makes it much easier.

I have been lucky enough to have a friendly cashier to override when a coupon gets rejected on a B1G1 free item; however that was before I knew to have them scan my WD card last! So now I have no problems & I don't get ugly looks from others in line behind me!

I didn't notice this in the ad. Maybe I missed it. Gain is on sale at my store for $1.99. If you still have any Gain $3 Qs (which I do!), this is a money maker!
I also didn't notice the Cascade in the ad: 2 for $9 with a $1/2 WD Q in the coupon book and $1 Qs in your PG Coupon book!
Also, Chicken Frying tenders are also B1G1!

Did pretty well at WD this morning –since moving into a new house, I've been getting WD coupons at the beginning of the month in the mail. Each week has a $5 off 30! I love those. Any idea how to ensure I keep getting these? They are addressed to the previous resident.

I just purchased 12 of the Ziploc storage packages ( 24 ct, but now 30 ct as it includes bonus bags) quart size, and I received 3 $2.00 OYNO coupons/catalinas. I tried it just purchasing 2, and I didn't receive any additional Qs. I used $1.25/2 coupons for the for the purchase. Total without card $32. Total with card and Qs, $9.46 with $6 back in catalinas.

It seems that maybe purchasing 4 may give you a 2.00 OYNO? Since you bought 12 and got three OYNO? Maybe that is why buying 2 didnt work? Thanks!!!! I need ziplocks desperataly!

My list is not printing correctly. I've selected my items and only 5 go to the print list…..is this a prob for anyone else? Any ideas?????

    • lovey

Apparently the print list won't load personal care items….not sure why, but i've tried selecting everything on here and those are always missing. Even if I select ONLY those items the list comes up blank. May be an internal issue with the list program.
