Ohhhh Noooooooo! There’s a Pop Tart coupon!!! That’s not good! I’m trying to ween myself from them dang it, lol. Now I guess I’ll have to go out and buy them at HT this Sunday. Oh jeesh, lol. Thanks Jenny! :D

      • Jenny

Sorry no Pop Tart coupon after all. That was an error on my part.

        • RebeccaF

OK, I totally thought I was going nuts there for a couple of minutes! Lol. I refreshed the page about 20 times and couldn’t see the Pop Tart q anymore so I was wondering if I was seeing things! I guess the coupon gods do want me to stop eating PopTarts after all, lol. Thanks for saving me from my Pop Tart insanity Jenny. :D

    • Tiffany

Ok our paper does not carry all of these coupons. We get a smart source and red plum and P & G when it comes out but I dont see all these coupns that you all are showing I get Albany Herald any suggestions on how to get those additional coupon or what is my best bet.

      • If there is a bigger market paper in your area pick up that one and compare to the one you usually buy.

      • Sandy

You can also buy coupons on ebay or from other online sources. If there is a coupon for a product I buy often (coffe-mate powered creamer-which rarely goes on sale) I will buy extra coupons. Just make sure you will have time to use them before they expire.

I get the Charleston Post-Courier which does not have many of the coupons. The Columbia paper would be better but I have not been able to find a place selling it on Sundays. So I make do with buying coupons online.

      • Jess

you can often find “bigger” area papers in large bookstores like Barnes and Noble or Books-A-Million.

    • KT

TryV8.com has a dollar off coupon offer!

      • JenGC

LOL I thought you meant to try the website v8.com. I went there and it was something automotive so I searched V8 and got tryv8.com and I was coming back to tell everyone. ROFL my stupidity! thanks!

    • Is there anyplace other than the paper to get the 1 penny item coupon for Publix. There were no papers left when I got out of work and the subscription in too expensive for me.
      Thank you in advance.

    • Finally, some Pull-ups coupons – and back to the normal $2 value. Thank goodness.

    • Adrian

What????? No Pampers coupons? That’s no good!

      • Amanda

Check cherrios boxes or ask neighbors…In my area it seems like everytime cherrios goes on sale it has $1.50 coupon on the back!!!
Or depending on if you have cherrios coupons – buy the cereal donate it to your church or daycare or a friend and cut the coupon off the back!! LOL. Also I ordered an “overnight” sample of pampers from Walmart.com – it came with $1.50 off the overnights which to me are the same as the cruisers.

I’m just glad to see some huggies and pull ups coupons! I use both now that my daughter is older and doesn’t seem to be as sensitive to different brands like she was as a newborn.

Oh….hmm, what are the chances of seeing some more printable huggies diaper coupons?????

    • DJane

It looks like the Pull Up coupons are not in the Tennessean. I will be traveling this weekend which papers/ areas are carring the Pull ups?

      • The variations for this weekend haven’t been marked yet – only the ones from previous weeks. The middle of next week, we’ll probably have a list of the variations. But maybe someone on here is familiar with the area you’ll be traveling in, and can point you to the biggest paper.

    • michelle

I would love to know if you get multiple papers?? I am new to coupons and trying to figure this out :)

      • Alison

I have the paper delieverd to my house every weekend. Once I go through it and see if I would want multiples of certain coupons, then sometimes I might buy 3 extra papers!

        • michelle

That is a great idea :)

      • I buy multiples on select weeks. I use these previews to determine how many I think I want. For instance, I definitely will use multiples of $2 off Pull-ups before it expires, so I probably will buy two or three papers this week. I’m in the AJC area, and those Sunday papers are $2 each. They are released around noon on Saturday in an early edition. Then on Sunday morning, all the leftover early editions get bundled with a new edition into a value pack: two papers with two sets of inserts, for $2.50. When I buy multiples, I go that route.

      • MelRae

I get the Sunday paper delivered, and I have three people from my church that are faithful to bring me their unwanted inserts, usually that very day. I was getting more, but I found that four copies is all I can handle or really need. A good rule of thumb is one copy of the insert for everyone living in your house.

        • michelle

Interesting, I will have to ask around for coupons…thank you..

        • TracyA

My neighbor lets me get her coupons out of her paper before she gets it out of the box… :-)

      • Donna

I live way up in the northwest, but use this site faithfully. Our local high school gets papers delivered everyday. They get the Sunday paper on Monday and more often than not, they have plenty left over they just throw out – with the coupons! I would check with your local high school to see if they do the same. I bet they would rather give you the paper than fill up their trash.

        • michelle

I will have to call and check it out :)

        • michelle

Wondering where in the northwest, we are here too :)

      • MCH

I have a subscription and I get 2 copies…you need 2 coupons to get the best deal on the bogos

      • Monica

If you live close to a Dollar Store or Dollar Tree, check those out too. Our Dollar Store carries the Sunday paper for $1 when it is $2 at the stand. Great for when you want several copies!

        • Lisa

Our Walgreens in Soddy Daisy, TN has been selling Sunday papers at half price. I get 2 sets of coupons for the price of 1. Check with your stores. We also get a free community paper deliverd to our homes Wed/Thur and Sunday coupon inserts are included there.

    • Elizabeth

I am new to this as of the last week of December. Thank you so much for all the time you put into this for us to save money. I found out a few things last week with the huge Harris Teeter sale:
      1. 20 coupons can be used at the store per DAY, I thought it was per visit. So the next time I went to the store that same day with another 20 coupons, when they were scanned, they didn’t double. Custormer service told me why.
      2. Another thing they told me, they will accept competitors coupons BUT only those that take money off the entire order, not individual itmes.

I live in Durham, NC maybe it’s not the same at all the stores.

    • Aaron

I’ve been doing the couponing since this summer (a little break over Christmas), and I’m wondering can I safely get rid of any of these inserts? Just wondering if you already know off hand… I didn’t want to go through all of them to see the exp. dates. My coupon holder is getting slightly heavy :).

      • laura from TN

I was wondering that exact same thing this morning!

      • Proctor and Gamble inserts almost all expire at the end of the month AFTER they came out. So for instance, if they came out the last week in December, they probably are expiring 1/31. SmartSource and RedPlum seem to vary a little more. I usually flip through my inserts and spot-check expiration dates, particularly on coupons I use on a regular basis – just to make sure.

If you have expired coupons, you should send them to military bases overseas. There are organizations that will do most of the sorting, clipping and shipping for you. I’ve found Operation Coupon Karma to be the easiest.

      • Amanda

I keep all inserts or go through them and see which ones have expired that I can throw out. If its a product like vodka or nicorrette gum..lol..then I toss even if its still good because I can’t pass those along. I also try to trade with friends and family and church members to get coupons I can use instead of things I don’t.

I DONT cut mine though until I need them….but if I don’t use them they go into a ziploc to sort through next time. Otherwise mine are uncut and in a file folder with the date of paper written at the top. This also helps me determine when to start sorting and tossing….most of my Sept and Oct are now expired. And I think I’ve used most of my Nov ones. But there are some Listerine coupons and Neosporin that may still be good because the drug and health items have like a 4 to 6 month expiration date!

        Hope that helps.

    • Anne Marie

I’m going away this weekend and don’t want to miss getting my coupons. Anyone know the best paper to get in Wilmington, NC area? TIA

      • Rachel

Probably the Charlotte Observer if you can find it.

    • new to this: how does the Wed. grocery paper help save cash? there are no coupons in the adds or am I missing something? I cut my coupons and put them into baseball card sleeves and file under categories

      • Suzanne

Publix has recently started putting the penny item coupon in the Wednesday paper rather than the Sunday paper. That’s the only reason I know that anyone would want the Wednesday paper.

    • Laine

The Washington Post is running a promotion. Sunday paper delivered for 6 mo. at $.99 each week.

      • Ms. T

Are the coupons in the Washington Post pretty good? I’ve been thinking about subscribing to a “big city” paper’s Sunday edition. I was leaning toward the AJC.

    • Lisa

Just want to say don’t forget to ask for a rain check if the sale item is out of stock. I had one for Thermacare heat wraps from CVS. Finally, several weeks after the sale, I found them, located $1 off coupons, and when I made my purchase I received my ECBs for the cost of the items plus $3. The wraps were free and I made an additional $3.00 in ECBs.

    • Stephanie

Bought 6 Charlotte Observers this morning.. no Smart source only 1 P & G in each paper… anyone else have same issue? If so, What do we do to correct this?

      • Cathy

We bought 2 Charlotte Observers this morning and did not have any Smart Source inserts either!

        • Sheri Scott

I had the same problem with the Charlotte Observer this morning, my paper only had the PG

          • Sarah

The Ral. News and Observer only had P&G… no SS… uggh!

          • Caroline

            Ladies,

I bought 3 after church and the same things…only a P & G insert. Let me know if you find anything else out..how annoying to have spent $6 and not get the other insert.

    • Nancy

you can contact them and tell them they were missing and go by the local office and they should give you the missing inserts or at least my Florence Morning News will but they require me to clip the date off the front page to prove I purchased it.

    • Jen

This is getting old. Bought 2 newspapers this morning and neither had the P&G inserts. Last week both papers that I bought were missing the SmartSource inserts. I’m looking online to see who to contact at The Tennessean about this. Any suggestions?

      • Robin

I didn’t get the P&G in The Tennessean either this week. Did you ever figure out what happened? I try to grab my paper from the bottom of the stack at the gas station, which seems to help with missing coupons. Thanks for your help on the P&G.

        • Jen

No, but I’m starting to have some ideas how some sellers on ebay can have hundreds of the same inserts. I emailed The Tennessean but still have not gotten a reply. Their contact page is full of different contacts but none really applied to my situation so I’m sure I didn’t send the email to the correct contact. I had hoped though that it would be forwarded to the correct department. I had also sent an email to the columnist ‘Ms Cheap’s’ but haven’t heard anything back either. I won’t buy any more papers until I check through each of them to ensure they have in them what they are supposed to have. If I pay for something I expect to get everything that I am paying for. It is very frustrating that this is happening now week after week so I don’t see this as a ‘oops-we missed one’ type of situation. I honestly am starting to think that there is something sketchy going on.

    • Marcia

Just started receiving the Florida Times Union on the weekends as a Christmas gift from my daughter. Today there was no Smart Source.
Did anyone else get one in their Times Union?

    • Chloe

Don’t forget to check your Sunday news magazines! The USA Weekly in the Tennessean has 2 great Cottonelle coupons in it.

    • Tiffany A Gentry

In out News Harald, we only have SS. There is no P&G.(Spartanburg Area)Whom do I contact for the P&G coupons? Thanks

      • Tiffany A Gentry

        I take that back….we only have P&G!!

    • Foxfunds

To those ladies in the Chattanooga area that have emailed me about the alternative to our inserts – I hope the info helps you out. :D My inserts arrived yesterday and they are FABULOUS!! Thanks for all your hard work Jenny!!

      • marym

Alternative?! What have I missed? Is there another way to get some decent coupons here besides the Times/Free Press? I would love to know about it!!! I miss living in Atlanta and getting the AJC.

        • Foxfunds

See the Coupon Insert Variation for 1/10 – my email info is on there. Feel free to contact me and I will give you all the info. Our inserts are TERRIBLE! I have talked to several at Times/FP and told them that I will not ever be interested in a subscription as long as the inserts are this bad – and then showed them what I got from another region. They are hearing our frustrations – but until they can fix it, we have to look for alternatives. I found it, and I am happy to share with my fellow Chattanooga couponers. :D

    • Brienne

Anybody know where I can get $1 sunday paper in Bellevue, TN?

    • Sarah

I’m a little aggravated. I bought three Sunday papers and each of them only had the P&G insert. What is up with the Tennessean?

      • KT

Me too, this is the fifth time this has happened to me, and Im getting really irritated!!! At first, I was thinking the food coupons were being stolen from the papers where I was buying them. But today I went to a different location. Im so annoyed…..

      • Robin

I didn’t have any P&G in my Tennessean. This is crazy!

    • Robin

I only got P&G in the Huntsville Times in Huntsville,AL. At first I missed seeing that and I was mad but then saw that insert

    • Katie

      –Brienne,

I believe Publix is selling the sunday Tennessean for $1.19.

    • Heather

I live in the Atlanta area, and buy the AJC…today we bought the combined early saturday/sunday edition – that has two papers for 2.50, instead of 2.00 each – I went through BOTH papers, and all sales papers were there, there were NO coupons whatsoever! No P&G and NO SS! Does anyone know what I could do about this?? Now I’m going to miss these coupons!

      • Tina

Sorry that this happened to you. I also by the AJC and found both inserts in today’s paper. However, the same thing happened to me after Thanksgiving, so I e-mailed P&G, and they sent me tons of coupons. I returned the opened newspapers to Publix who refunded me. Good luck.

    • The 3 dollar huggie coupons that says redeem at publix only…is it considered a publix coupon or manufactured coupon?? Also where are the coupon books at where it says look for these coupons in your publix?? I went to four different publix and can’t find them…

    • Angela

No soymilk coupons in my papers. Got the two biggest papers in my area :-(. Was looking forward to using them with the Ingles sale.

      • Jenn

Sounds like the missing coupons are a huge problem this week. I just opened the newspaper (Charlotte Observer) that I got yesterday and sure enough my SS was missing too. At first I thought that perhaps someone was stealing them but I guess it is just a problem this week. VERY aggravating!

    • Christy

Thanks for the list! I print it out and stick it with my inserts so I don’t have to thumb through the inserts to look for the coupons I need. When I cut one out I just mark it off my list!!

    • MS. A

      Hello Phillis again,

Just saw this page and realized that it answered my question. Sorry for the confusion. I hope you have a great night!

    • Cathy

I emailed the Charlotte Observer on Sunday when I did not get my SmartSource coupons. Guess what I got in today’s mail? Coupons!! The Charlotte Observer mailed me the missing SmartSource coupons.

      • Jen

That’s great! Wish I could get the same response from The Tennessean, or even ANY response!

    • Heather

I don’t know about the other markets that are missing their Smartsource, but rumor has it that some FL markets are no longer getting the Smartsource insert and that really peeves me. It messes up my whole shopping plan! I e-mailed both my newspaper and SmartSource (actually, News America Marketing ) and the paper replied that the supplier has decided not to provide them. No other infor given. I never heard anything back from News America Marketing and I’d like to know what’s up. I see the inserts for sale on e-bay but they are all being sold in lots of 5 and I really only want one or to of the inserts.

    • For a limited time, to celebrate their 25th anniversary, CiCi’s is offering buffet meals for only $3.99. The offer ends on Feb. 28th. Check with your store before ordering to make sure they are participating.
