2010 Sunday Coupon Insert Schedule

Here is the schedule for 2010 newspaper coupon inserts. Please note that Procter & Gamble does not like to follow the plan sometimes, so on no insert weekends there might be P&G inserts. I’ll let you know if that is going happen.

There will also be weeks that have a few extra inserts when General Mills and Unilever release coupons.

You can always see the full list of what coupons are coming out each weekend on the Wednesday before on Southern Savers.

It looks like RedPlum will be following the same route as Smartsource in not putting coupon inserts in newspapers (see link). Not sure how long it will take for this to go national but I'm sure there will be a HUGE stink raised. Do they not realize how many couponers are out there? See the article below. I haven't seen any media reports on the Smartsource withdrawal so I don't know what the reasoning is behind them pulling their inserts from some markets.

I had a coupon printed from SmartSource that I tried to use at Food Lion on Friday (1/22), and they told me they could not accept it. When I inquired why, they showed me their policy, which states that Smartsource is one of the leading places for counterfeit coupons. Have you encountered this before? It makes me not want to print out any coupons in fear of them being counterfeit or not being able to use them once I'm at a supermarket.

It is because they don't understand how coupons work. Here is a website at smartsource where you can print out a fact sheet that you can give to your retailer. I printed this out and I am keeping it with my coupons...it may come in handy one day.

Last week I was missing an insert (SS) and this week it's missing again!! What's going on? I am in Florida and buy the St. Pete's Times. This is very frustrating!! :(

I am highly disappointed about this too. I am going to write to SmartSource Customer Service and see if the above response is actually the case. If they are "reducing print" then they should make their coupons available online to those markets or via the newspaper's website. I'm sure the manufacturers wouldn't be happy if their coupons weren't reaching large markets.

I just e-mail the paper & Smartsource, so we'll see if I get a response. I read a commment somewhere that the Tampa Trib had the insert. If so, I will be switching to that paper!

I just read on another blog site that the St. Pete Times customer service department responded to an email regarding the missing Smartsource inserts with this comment:

“Smart Source has reduced their print requests and their coupons will no
longer be included in Citrus, Hillsborough, Manatee and parts of Pascoc counties. Proctor & Gamble simply did not order enough printed copies.”

I've been looking for them too. I'm very disappointed.

WHY DO I NOT GET SOUTHERN SAVERS EMAILS ANYMORE? OR FOOD LION'S DOES ANYONE ELSE HAVE THIS PROBLEM?

I had a time finding a Spartanburg Herald Journal paper in the Boiling Springs area that had both inserts. A lot of them just had the PG! Did anyone else have this problem? I finally found one.

There were no smart source in the the St. Petersburg Times either. I remember something like this happening in Atlanta a month or so ago and it was in a weekday paper. If anyone has any information, it would be appreciated.

Is there any way to get a hold of all the coupons from last Sunday paper if I didn't get to buy the paper that day, and I'm not sure which ones I'm going to need in the near future. Can someone tell me? Is there a list of all the coupons somewhere?

Greta- I think (don't hold me to it) that if you go to your local newspaper's place of business, that they will let you buy past papers. I know that I have done this in the past. It was before my coupon days and was to get extra copies of a paper that my son's picture was in. It would be worth a try. Good luck!

FYI for those of you in the Columbia, SC area that were getting the Charlotte Observer from St. Andrews newstand they have closed. If anyone else has another source for this area please let me know. I have already called Barnes and Noble, Books A Million and Columbia Airport not Charlotte papers. Thank you!

I bought the Sunday paper (1/3) in name of Herald Sun, a local newspaper in Durham and Chapel Hill. However, I only find two inserts of smartsource and another two of redplums. Does the number of inserts vary by region? You only mentioned about P&G insert not following the schedule. We have another local paper called News and Observer. Can that paper have one more insert of smartsource? News and Observer sells for $2.00 and Herald Sun sells for $1.50. I doubt the number of inserts would be the difference.

jenny, i want to thank you for all you do. i have cut my total grocery bill( food, chem's, etc.) by 50%... that $800.00 to $400.00. i could not have done it without all the hard work you put in. thanks again.
