I saved about 50% at Publix today with a sub for lunch, as well. :)

I’m Totally irritated with Wal-Mart in Clayton NC.I gave the clerk 14.00 worth of cpns ,which she never applied to my total.Due to my arthritic pain being so bad all i wanted to do is get home .So the mis hap is partly my fault for not checking it before leaving the store.As soon as i got home ,i called them and explained what had happened.I was told that i could come in Friday , when she would be in and she would deduct them this one time.
Well, that was a forest and waste of time and expensive gas.The first thing she asked me was where are my cpns.Looking stangely at her ,I said well i gave them to the clerk before she rang my things up
She informed me that she could not reimbuse me for my loss.Moneyies have already been put in main cash bin along w/ all cpns.So I looked at her and said -so you- Wal mart will have an overage and i’m just out of luck.
Learn from this I say.Personally if it had been only 5.00 i would not have called.It was a good amt which i had explained to her and explained that i gave them to the clerk .Financially, we need all we can get in this economy.Lesson learned for sure and it will be a long time before I ever cross those doors again
Forgive me for this long tale ,but it good to remind us all to be alert regardless how distracted we become .

I don’t have all of my receipts in front of me & don’t want to wake the wee ones by looking for them. Here’s a rough breakdown of another oddball shopping week for me. Once again, I really didn’t buy that much at the grocery stores, but did quite a bit of shopping at other stores because of sales and the big guys’ NEED for clothes.

Okay, that’s all well and good, except that I was also WAGging and “visiting” KMart. My time spent in the grocery stores was nothing compared to my time in these two.

WAGS, well, I’ve had to be all over the city this week. So, I was able to better utilize the q’s that I had. I don’t have any for St. Ives. So, that was not a MM, but it was still free and rolled really neatly with the Cakesters (icky) that I did have q’s for with either 10 cent clearance chocolates (yummy) or 33 cent knee hi’s as fillers. I wound up with
a dozen boxes of Cakesters,
a pile of St. Ives,
1 Kerasol,
6 pr knee hi’s,
14 jars Skippy,
2 boxes Lipton tea,
Value – I’m too lazy to try to figure it out.

Two visits to KMart this past week would be very complicated to unravel. I purchased 3 more pks of the needed GoodNites, and much more on the first visit which was during Super Doubles. The “diapers” were the big expense. Altogether, I purchased

The second trip was for clothes for the guys. Still need to do another. Had them purchase the $50 GC/get $10 Reward card, and spend “at least” $50 in menswear to qualify for movie tickets. I STILL need to figure out how to get those tickets, because I don’t see a code on their receipt. I’ll probably have to go to the store myself to get it sorted out.

It looks like I spent ~ $125 OOP on groceries, clothing, and auxilary household expenses this week.

There was another $200 in auto repairs to go with it. Not to mention gas costs. Blech! I REALLY want to see my expenses get down to $50 avg/wk for at least a few weeks running, but that’s probably a futile hope.

personaly i never give my coupons up front and when asked by a cashier for the coupons up front i tell her politely that i will pay for all my groceries after she or he finishes ringing them up… if they get pushy about having them i polityexplain that you would not ask for my cash first and that i treat my coupons like cash.. ( i stay firm about this issue that ways as things are bein scanned i can keep an eye on it as i can see that all the coupons are scanned for the right amount) hope this helps

Well, I know this is late, but I was excited! I went to Publix & got:
a large container of Enfamil Gentlease baby formula
a 2 pck of gerber baby food
8oz daisy sour cream
4 pk Bic soliel disposable razors
2 boxes of Gerber organic brown rice baby cereal
2- 4pks of yoplait yo-plus yogurt
And my total with tax was about $23!!!
The formula alone is regular priced just under $27! So excited! Probably more excited about this than most people b/c I am new to the couponing world! :)
