I have a question, is there a limit of how many times you can do the advil and thermacare deal? I have enough of coupons to do the deal 3 times and I have some register rewards to use.
  • JEB
I got 4 Velveeta shells and cheese cups today, using the Walgreens Back to School booklet coupon for $1 off when you buy 4, plus I had two BOGO free manufacturer coupons, making them .25 each...then I had a $1 register reward print off that said thanks for buying Velveeta shells and cheese cups...I got the last 4 at Emmanuel Church Rd. store. They did have Kraft Easy MAc cups left, if you have coupons for that. The Walgreens Q also applies to Easy Mac cups.
  • Amy
Ok need help! I went to Walgreens and bought:

    2 Smart rinse
    2 folgers

    Used:
    for smart rinse
    b1g1 coupon
    1.00 off manf.
1.00 out of the activity book

    for folgers
    1 .25

It printed my 1.00 RR for the folgers but nothing for the smart rinse

    What did I do wrong???????????????????????????????????????????
  • Kimber
fyi... for those of you in Mt. Pleasant, SC
Walgreens on hwy17 is having a problem with their registers and they are not printing register rewards. The manager has been giving me a Walgreen's gift card instead and then I can just use the gift card on my next transaction or a later purchase. I like it!!!

    Dub (#75) ~

I don't know exactly which insert the Zyrtec & Benadryl coupons were in.....I'm not as good at keeping up with my sources as Jenny. :) All I know is either July or August Red Plum or Smart Source----sorry!

Here is a site that has how to use the RR's

    http://wantitall4free.blogspot.com/2009/03/lowd...

    Hope it helps to explain.

    New to this...

Can I use the walgreen RR I get back to buy alcohol ??

Solider coming home on leave :) - need to stock up.
  • Dub
That's cool kim. I am a newby at this where did you get the Zrtec and Benadrl coupons at if i may ask?
  • Kim
Thought I'd share my Walgreens deal that I saw on another site and tried successfully tonight....

I bought a Children's Zyrtec Hives Relief (4 ounce grape syrup ages 6+) on clearance for $3.24 and a Benadryl Itch Stopping Cream (1 oz. but bonus packaging includes a full 1 oz. tube so you actually get two for the 3.99 price). I used a $2 coupon for the Zyrtec and a $1 coupon for the Benadryl. Total was 4.23 before tax and my $5 RR printed off as expected!

FYI....the Zyrtec was in the clearance section instead of with the other allergy medicine and the UPC is 3-1254720411-8.

    Gail -
thanks again. I read Jenny's starter guide but it didn't explain this. I think I got it now. I'm not a regular walgreens shopper but your answer will help me when I go back to spend my 2 rrs.
  • Gail
    Erin B #69

No each RR is worth the amount on the RR but it is only one mfg coupon. You can't use a $3 RR to buy a product that cost less than the amount of the coupon. Each RR coupon has to attached itside to a product.

There are other rulse you have to follow so it would be good for you to read Jenny's "If you are new Walgreens read the getting started guide first." at the top of this page.

I ordered my free collage photo online using Code: FUNDAY to get it free today and just picked it up! It is wonderful! You can add as many as 20 photos but I scanned and downloaded 8 old photos of ancestors beginning with my grandmother and her parents, siblings and grandparents. You can add a title so at the bottom of the page I added the wording "_______ ANCESTORS" (My grandmother's families last name)

I had a $7.00 coupon for Zyrtec which my DH uses from a trip there Sunday and wanted to use it while there so with it I got
1 huggies wipes used $2.00 from Back to School Flyer and $.50 coupon from Sunday insert
4 poster board used 4/$1.00 Walgreens coupon
2 Dial hand soap on sale 2/$5.00
    1 pkg M&M's $.69 for grandaughter.
    Only spent $1.18!
No problems checking out, no questions about coupons...my first successful trip to Walgreens in a while!

Another HORRIBLE experience at Wal-Greens. Bought 4 Pop-Tarts, 2 crest toothpastes, 2 Oral-B Toothbrushes, 2 boxes raisin bran and the resolve carpet cleaner to get my total to $25. My grand total was $21 and I should have received $12 in register rewards ($5 from PT, $5 from Crest/OB & $2 from cereal). Nothing printed whatsoever. The cashier made me wait on a manager in the cosmetic department. Apparently, she said that the raisin bran is not included in the RR (???), the Pop-Tarts rang up @ $2.49/ea (even though it clearly states 4/$10) so I was .04 shy of the $10 I needed and she couldn't figure out why the Crest/OB wouldn't print. She "forced" the pop-tarts RR to print and she gave me (2) $2 RR and $1 cash back for the Crest/OB RR since she couldn't get it to work. They refused to honor the RR for the raisin brain so I swapped it for the candy that was on sale since I really didn't have to have any more cereal right now and I didn't want to pay the reg price per box. What was supposed to be a quick, 10-minute trip took me over 35 minutes. I HATE WALGREENS because this seems to happen almost EVERY time I go. Is it just me?
  • Erin b
Thanks Gail. I'm starting to get the picture. So each RR counts as a separate q? A RR worth $3 counts as 3 man. Qs?
  • Jenny
I received a friends and family flyer for 15% off everything or 20% Walgreen brands for Friday only. They were giving it out at the checkout yesterday (birmingham, Al). It had 6 tear and share coupons!
  • Katie
I was just wondering what the Vocal Point mailer was.
  • Gail
    Erin B. #65

You weren't over the cost of the products ($5.00 products - $4.00 coupons = $1.00) but you used to many mfg coupons (4) for the amount of products (2) you were getting (the RRs are consider mfg coupons). You always have to have the same or more products for the amount of coupons you are using. So you would need 2 filler products to make this transaction work -like to pack of m&ms.
  • Erin B.
I went to Walgreens today for the first time and have a question. I bought 2 Kelloggs cereals @ 2.50 and used a $1/2 q and 3 RRs from the Smart Rinse deal. My total should have been $1 plus tax, right? But the cashier said that the register wouldn't take it bc it would be over the total - that I needed to get something else. I was in a hurry and didn't have time for her to explain this to me so I just got some candy and paid. Can someone explain this to me please? Is this for real or did I just get conned into buying some m&ms?
  • JEB
Found some cute melamine Disney kids plates and bowls marked down for .50 in the summer toy and cooler section. Princess, Cars, Mickey Mouse...also with the Walgreens Back to School coupons in the front of the store, you can get Huggies Wipes 72 count tub for .79 when you combine with manufacturer Q.
  • Kathy
I, also, could not print the Dryel coupon over the weekend. Their webmaster Emailed me today, apologized, and gave me a link to print a new coupon! I was excited as it was $3.00, and printed it. It EXPIRED 3/31/09! I tried to Email them, filled out the form, but-low and behold- the link was BROKEN! Unbelievable... I left them a phone message.
  • Rachel
    Tiffany,

I just received that same e mail and was so excited til I saw the expiration date.

Is this a good week for the Kellogg's Rebate? I haven't done it yet and thought I could give it a try this week. This was the scenario I thought up...

    2 Frosted Flakes @ $5 - $1/2 8/2 Insert = $4, 2RR
    2 Frosted Flakes @ $5 - $1/2 8/2 Insert = $4, 2RR
    2 Rice Krispies @ $5 - (2) $1/1 Vocal Point mailer = $3, 2RR
    4 Keebler cookies @ $10 - (2) $1/2 8/2 Insert = $8, $5RR
    Total = $19 and get back $11 RR = Net $8
    Submit for Kellogg's rebate = $2 Moneymaker

Is this a good scenario? Thanks!!
  • Tiffany
I just received an e-mail from Dryel with a link to download the coupon, but the coupon expired on 3/31/09. Figures.

    Lynn #56:

I cannot remember what paper they came out of, I'm thinking it was sometime in July, but may have been June. I know that there are lots of them on eBay. The coupon doesn't expire until December, so it's no big rush considering it's an everyday price and not a sale price! I went back today and they only had one on the shelf, so I asked if they had anymore, when she scanned it she said that it was the only one and she didn't know when/if they would get more because the wearhouse was empty as well.

I went back to Walgreens today and got more Huggies wipes!

    I got:
    15 more wipes
    1 accucheck meter

    Used:
$2 off huggies store coupon (took off $30)
    12 .50 cent mfr coupons
    1 accucheck coupon

    Total before coupons/sales: $64.73
    Total after: $8.74
    Total saved: $55.99
  • Janie
I went to Walgreens yesterday and found the Almay foundation on clearance for $3.59 some with free lip gloss attached. Regular price was $13.99, after the Q I paid $2.59 each! With everything I got the total was $10.40, I have a $10.00 mail in rebate and I got $6 in RR.
So I came out getting everything free plus the $6 RR!!!

My store had a problem with the $5 RR printing for the toothbrush deal, it was printing $2 RR. But they just gave me $6 total instead of $5!!

I have no clue where to put this, but I found a great deal at Walmart today! I'm so excited! I found the Huggies Pull Ups Wipes, 42 count (soft, travel packet) for $1.64, well, then I had 19 of the $3/2 coupons, didn't get to use them all, but got what they had on the shelf which was 12 packs for $1.68, that's .14 cent a pack and saved $18! I still have enough coupons for 26 more packs, so I now have to wait on them to restock the shelves! That will make 38 packs of Pull Ups wipes for $5.32! How great is that? The one's that come in the plastic tub are still on 42 count, but because they are in the fancy reusable tub, they are $2.42, almost $1 more than the refill packs, just plain silly! Hope this can help someone! There are also the $2/2 coupons, those would make them .64 cent a pack, still a good deal.

I DIDN'T SEE THE NUTRIGRAIN BARS ON AD EITHER AND THEY ARE 3 FOR $10 WITH 5RR AT STORES. SO IF YOU BUY THE 3/ $10 MINUS $1/2 COUPON, MINUS YOUR RR, YOU WOULD PAY $1.33 EACH. STILL NOT BAD, BUT FREE IS BETTER

I'm also having trouble with the Dryel Coupon. Also, I just went to Walgreens and bought (4) Pop Tarts and my $5RR didn't print. I checked my Store Ad online with my zip 33615 and Pop Tarts isn't included with the Kellog's snacks in my ad :( Oops, guess I should have double checked.

I went to Walgreens and bought the Listerine, toothbrushes, and tape. I paid with my $5 RR from spending $25 last week. The $3 RR for the Listerine didn't print and the manager said it was b/c I paid with the $5 RR. They would not force one to print. I am about done with Walgreens!
  • Teri
The Pop Tarts are ringing up as $2.49 so when you buy 4, you've not hit the $10 mark to get the 5RR but oddly enough, at 2 different Wal-greens, I bought a 5th box and the fifth one rang up for $.04 at both locations so the total price for 5 boxes (before q's) is $10 plus you get the 5RR's. I finally got the Thermacare to print. I tried different computers. It just would never print before. I don't know what I was doing wrong. Thanks though!

Anyone purchased the Accu-Chek more than once and been able to get the rebate? Wondering if I need to use different addresses or names? The paperwork says one rebate per system but don't want to pay tax and not get the rebate.
  • JEB
I got some cute Disney Princess bubbles and kiddie sunglasses for .50 each in the clearance summery toys.
  • Jennifer
Amy, I asked a salesperson and they told me where it was in the pharmacy seating area.
  • Amy
Can anyone tell me specifically where they found the Walgreens coloring book with the coupons? Not having any luck finding it.

The Reach toothbrushes are .99 right now with store coupon. Limit of 3.

I have a Reach coupon that if I buy 3 reach products I get $5 off. This is a money maker no?

    **Jenny Here**
It is a money maker but depending on the price of the toothbrushes before the in ad coupon the computer might not take the coupon. Their computers will not take a coupon that is for more than the value of the item. So if the toothbrushes are less than $1.66 regular price then it will not take the $5/3. Make sense?

STILL cannot get the Thermacare coupon to print! Can anyone help me?

Jess what happens when you try to print it out?

FYI The Raisin Bran from scenerio #1 was not included in the sale at my WG. I was told it was only for the items in the photo... BUT, the good news is, the cashier tried my $1.50 off 2 printable Raisin Bran coupon on 2 boxes of Rice Krispies instead and it rang up with no problems! I love the cashiers and managers at Wags - They are always so helpful.

Also, I bought 6 items (all Kelloggs) and only had 3 man. Qs for $1 or $1.50 off 2. The register would NOT let me use my two RR even though I did not have more items than Qs. I THINK that even though it was 3 Qs it counted as 6 Qs since each coupon was towards 2 items. Confusing, but I just added two of the .16 folders and was able to use my 2 RR that I had from last week.

Hey just a heads up but on Wednesday 8/26 Walgreens has another great 3 day ad.. Its not in the newspaper, only online and in stores.. Frito Lay $1.99, $5 off purchase, Etc..

The Tag Body Spray was in one of the past Sundays coupon flyers.
Our Walgreens had it on sale for $1.29 ea. I tried to use 4 $2.00 coupons not thinking about the coupons being over the price so the register would only take 3 coupons. So I spend .29 each to give to the church pantry.

Erin, my daughter and I both got postcards for the goody rebate saying we purchased outside the dates. I called them and asked them how that was possible since we purchased during the Walgreens sale and the Catalina rebate form was printed at that time. I told them the date was the last line on the receipt. I was told that the receipts are scanned into their system. I told them the receipt might have been folded but definitely not cut. they told me they would pull originals to check. My last 3 out of 10 rebates were rejected because of "missing purchase dates" No Way! The Walmart weather station even did that to me. I have my copy and even took it to Walmart and they printed out another copy for me. Everything was definitely in date.

Jenny also has a great link up for a $2.00 printable off Tylenol 8-Hour pictured in the WG ad. It is on the Rite-Aid scenerio page. I didn't have the SS Qs so I was happy to find that!
    Thanks Jenny!
  • I am getting different numbers of transaction #2.
  • Ally
where's the tag body spray coupon?? THanks
  • Sharon
Jenny, (#19) I always have math issues. You should have been an accountant. I just can't think through all these transactions like you can, but I'm getting better : )
  • Honey
I think my All You coupon for the colgate is $1.50 off 2. Maybe I'm not looking at the correct one.
  • Sondy
    Mandy

Also, be aware of how many RR should print and tell the cashier and they will force the RR to print for you.
  • Sondy
    Mandy

The RR won't roll if you're using a RR from the same product that you're buying. Example: 1RR wyb 2 scope mouthwashes. The RR will print and you can use it to buy anything in the store. However, Walgreens controls their products (Limit 1 per customer) by not letting you use that Scope RR on another Scope deal. Since they don't have a customer card this is the only way they have a little control over how many you buy.
    I hope this helps.
  • Mandy
Every time I use a RR to purchase a product that should have a RR I dont get the RR. I am under the impression that RR can bot roll...is this true or not?
  • CJ
Don't you need to buy 2 folgers to get the RR?
  • Patricia
I looked at the ad and didn't see that Nutri-Grain bars and Rice Krispies treats are included in the 5RR wyb $10 at 2.50 each. Are they included?
  • Tiffany
I'm new to all this, so I have probably what is a stupid question.
For instance, on the one a day vitamins at 6.99 is says to use a store coupon, manufactureres coupon and a printable. Aren't the printables from websites considered manufacturers coupons? And if so, I thought you could only use one manufacturers coupon on each product purchased? Thanks for the help understanding!
  • Elizabeth
If you buy the Accu-Chek Blood Glucose Monitor and use a $10 coupon, can you still get the mail-in rebate of $10? If so, you'd make $10 just to buy the product. Either way, you'd get it FREE, which is a good deal!
  • Jenny
Amy, you are right that is middle of the night math issues. I'll fix it!
  • Melissa
Do we know which Walgreens has the Sunday Paper for $.75 with purchase?
  • Amy
I'm a lil confused about this deal:

$1 RR wyb (2) Colgate Total Toothpaste 4.2 oz at $2.50 ea
-$1.50/1 Colgate Total, March All You Magazine (makes it FREE)

You have to buy 2 to get $1 RR right? So...

    (2) toothpastes $5.00
    (2) -$1.50/1
=$2.00, $1 RR Makes it .50 each, not free

    Is that right?

    Thanks!!!
  • Erin
Just wondering if anyone has had issues with the Goody Ouchless headband rebate from Walgreens a few weeks back? I received a postcard in the mail today that I didn't purchase the correct product, even though I purchased what I believe is the only Ouchless headband, which was the same one that Walgreens had the rebate tag on!
  • Tiffany
I'm having trouble with the Dryel coupon too.
  • JessR2
STILL cannot get the Thermacare coupon to print! Can anyone help me?
  • JessR2
Would also be only $1.24 ea on Advil/Thermacare deal?
I don't understand about the Smart Rinse deal. How can you use a BOGO coupon and then also 2 other coupons when you are only buying 2?
  • Alissabeth
Rice Krispies coupons from Vocalpoint came for me. There are $1.50 and a FREE box coupons.
  • Carolin
I went to Walgreens last night. My Walgreens has always had very little clearance. To my surprise they had Tag body spray on clearance for $1.51. Thankfully I had the $2 coupon with me. I don't know anyone that uses this but for the 49 cents that Walgreens paid me to take it. I couldn't pass it up. Another item to my donation pile.
  • Anyone else having trouble with the Dryel coupon?
OH! You're my new favorite blogger fyi

Anyone else having trouble with the Dryel coupon?
  • Erin b
Can do the same rr deal more than once?
  • amy
I think your senerio #2 is incorrect. you would have to buy two folgers to get the 1$ RR.
  • JennyM
Fill out the form here to receive a $5 coupon good on ANY one Zantac product.

Is there a limit on the # of times you can do a deal? I need to stock up on meds. If I buy 4, will I get $10 in RR?
  • julia
No I count 4 items and 4 coupons(not counting RRs)
  • Lynn
On your rolling scenerio #2, don't you need as many items as coupons? I count four items with 6 coupons. Or do they not count the in store coupons?
  • Teresa-QOCD
think Folgers would be $1.75 each
  • julia
Thanks Jenny for all you do!
