Buy 2-24 packs of Zephryhills water on sale for $2.99 each and use coupon for a FREE 6 pack of Zephryhills Sport Bottle Waters normally @2.99. Coupons can be found on Coupons.com :-)
  • Heather
Where do I get the rebate for the Quattro razor? Any suggestions?
  • sarabrwn
what a day i had just trying to get cheap diapers lol. 4 cvs' didn't have the size i needed in the box, finally i ended up back at the first store i tried and got 4 of the packages, the manager let me use the $4 off huggies box, plus my (2) $2 mani q's, a $3.00/2 q, a $4 off $20 AND gave me the ecb i would have gotten with the boxes! he told me if there was ever a problem with coupons at any other store, or i needed the same product and they were out, to come see him and he would "make it work" for me. what a SUPER nice guy!!! this is why i'd much rather stick to cvs than walgreens lol
  • Krista
I LOVE cooperative managers! I've also been told by my CVS and Walgreens to just buy the size diapers they have in stock that is part of the ECB deal, keep the receipt, and exchange it for the right size when they have more in stock. That seems like a good option to me because then I still get the "deal" without running all over town.
  • guest
That is great when you find a store with a manager that is willing to bend over backwards to make a customer happy. :)
  • CVSKristinAllen
Also! CVS has started a new customer rewards program for photos!
For every $20 you spend in 4x6, 5x7, 6x8, and 8x10 photos, you receive a coupon for a free 8x10 print. The computer keeps track of how much you spend, so you don't have to do all $20 at once.

The coupon will print 48 hours after the qualifying purchase. I know, I know, this brings back nightmares from three years ago when all CVS ECB's were like this, but I would say just bear with us and speak up to customer service that the coupon should print instantly instead of two days later...

    Happy Shopping!
  • CVSKristinAllen
    Hey everyone!
I found a hidden deal at my store. At the last register (towards the front door) there is a little box with single servings of Hersey's Kisses.

They are ringing up for $.06!!

Perfect if you need just a little more to use all your ECB's!
  • guest
That is awesome! I was just telling one of my friendly store managers the other day that if CVS would put a basket of rocks with $0.01 price tags by the register they'd come in really handy for couponers! LOL

I live in Florida and I can't figure out how taxes are calculated at CVS using coupons and ECBs. Can someone help me with this?
  • guest
Tax laws vary some between different states. In Texas, shoppers pay tax AFTER all coupons have been deducted - so if they buy $10 worth of stuff and use $10 worth of coupons, they pay no tax at all and get everything for free. Sadly, most states are not like Texas. I have not done any couponing in FL, however I can tell you how I know it works in SC (many other states are similar to NC and SC, but not all of them). It may possibly be similar in FL, so hopefully this may help you figure it out.

In SC, tax is charged after *store coupons* have been deducted. CVS coupons like the $4/$20 and similar coupons are recognized as a *store coupon* and basically function in the register as a discount. If you purchase $20 worth of stuff and use a $4/$20 coupon, you are not charged tax on the $4 that is deducted - the coupon is treated as a discount. Most ECBs are generally *not* considered to be store coupons, and normally you DO have to pay tax on the amounts that they pay for. If you purchased $20 worth of stuff and used $20 ECBs to pay for it, most likely you will be charged tax on the $20 worth of stuff. Same thing goes for manufacturer's coupons - if you buy $20 worth of stuff and use $20 worth of manufacturer's coupons, your subtotal will be $0.00 but you will have to pay the tax from your original $20 total. If you were to buy the same $20 worth of stuff and use a $4/$20 coupon and $16 worth of coupons and ECBs, you would have a subtotal of $0.00 after coupons, and you would pay tax on the $16.00 total that you had after the $4/$20 coupon was applied (remember the 4/20 is a store coupon and functions as a discount, so you do not pay tax on the $4 that was taken off from it).

There are some exceptions to the ecbs not taking off tax, though. For example, if your ECB does not print at the time of purchase as it should, and you have it manually printed for you, when you redeem it, it will be recognized by the register as a store coupon and will function as a discount. The same thing goes for when you use a raincheck that gets back ecbs - since they have to print raincheck ECBs manually, when you actually use those manually printed ecbs, you are not charged tax on the amount that it pays for. Also, quarterly ecbs (the 2% that you get back from your quarterly spending) and ecbs that print from using the CVS Green Bag Tag count as store coupons and function in the register as a discount, and you are not charged tax on those amounts. I *think* that ecbs earned from purchasing CVS brand products also work this way, but I haven't purchased any CVS brand products earning ECBs in awhile so I'm not completely sure.

If you'll notice on your receipt, when you use CVS coupons and ECBs, some of them will show up as 'CVS Coupon' and some will show up as 'CVS manufacturer coupon' (can't remember the exact abreviation that they use for 'manufacturer' but you get the idea) - the ones that show up as 'cvs coupon' work as a store coupon and function as a discount and you are not charged tax on those amounts. $/$$ coupons, manually printed ECBs, quarterly ECBs, greenbagtag ecbs, and actual CVS store coupons will show up as 'cvs coupon' on your receipt and you will not be charged tax on the amounts that they take off. Regular ecbs will show up as 'cvs manufacturer coupon' and you will be charged tax on those amounts. Manufacturer coupons will just show up as 'coupon' and you will be charged tax on those amounts.

As stated before, these rules work in SC and I cannot guarantee if the tax laws are the same in other states or not, but it may serve as a guideline to help you figure out if your state works the same way or not.

Yesterday I went CVSing for the first time and I ended up spending $10.60 and I saved $30.10! I think I will do this again :)
  • MeNTn
For some reason when I click the printable link for the Lumene products, I don't find a coupon. Is there a certain zip code I need to enter on the CVS website?
  • berneta
    Hi Jenny!

Thank you so much for offering the Extreme Coupon 101 class. Could you please give me a little more information about using the CVS Caremark card? Is it only on prescription or also on items in the store?
  • CVSKristinAllen
If what you have is a white CVS card keytag, you can use this to replace your red card. This new card will give you the sale prices, reward you with coupons, and store up % from purchases for seasonal reward bucks. Be sure to join the red card and white card together on one account if you want to use the coupons with either card. You can join the accounts by calling 1-800-SHOP-CVS and speaking with a customer service rep.
  • Suemh
No. You do not receive them until after you have paid. They are printed at the bottom of your receipt. You can, however, use them for a second transaction.
  • amylaurenscott
So, I bought the Power Bar gels last week, when they were free after ECB, but that deal was for Feb 1-28. On the tag this week, the tag said the sale was for this week only (Feb. 28 - March 6). I know the limit is one but could I buy them again and get the ECB?

I know it's only $1.50 but I'm a runner and those gel bites were really helpful on Monday when I ran 6.5 miles :). If you're into working out you should try them.
  • kelli
I read on another website that it's a different deal.

I wish I knew if I could buy another one this week (didn't buy mine until sunday of this week) and still get the ecbs. I'd never spend $1.50 on them, but I'd love to have another one for free!
  • oconeegirl
This may not be the correct place for this question. I'm new and trying to figure all of this out. Is there a place on this site to search for a specific grocery item to see which store, if any, might have it on sale??
    Thanks!!!
    Angie
  • KIm
Yes, go to the Weekly Top Deals tab near the top right of the website and you should be able to search what your looking for.
  • jen
If this tool is what I think it is, that sounds totally awesome. That being said, can you explain a little bit more where it is? I looked at all the tabs on the top and didn't see it.. the closest thing I saw was "Weekly Inserts". I'll apologize ahead of time for being daft.
  • helenbarnes03
it is at the top bottom row on the right side of tabs that say Weekly Top Deals.
  • helenbarnes03
ok just did the diaper deal at cvs hereis what i got

huggies size 3 box diaper $19.99
    3 off 15
    (1) $4.00 off cvs q that printed last week
    (1) $2.00 mq
    $6.00 ecb from last week
    total out of pocket $6.52
got back 4 ecbs so it was like getting them for $2.52!!!
    wow
  • guest
Actually it was like getting them for $8.52. Remember, you 'spent' that $6.00 ecb from last week, therefore it 'cost' you that extra $6.00 even if it was not cash out of your pocket.
  • rcoupons
I scanned my CVS card today and received a $5.00 off $15 purchase! I was happy.
  • 3monkeysmom
I scanned my CVS card today and got.....absolutely NOTHING!!! Not even the crappy CVS brand coupons I usually get. GRRRRRR!!!
    Happy for you though :-)
  • mcleodsc
If you have any of the $1 off CVS hair care you can use it for the 99cents CVS shampoo or conditioner. My store has 2 scents and they were on the bottom shelf. Just look at the distributer and compare it to Fruitopia -if they are the same then it is a CVS product. I have got a free shampoo each time the red box gives me that coupon. I will probably donate some of it.
  • anna
i posted a question but it disappeared. It says 10ecb when you buy $20 nexxus product. does that mean all $20 has to be nexxus?
  • KIm
Yes, it must be Nexxus- I just did that deal on Saturday.
  • annakmatson
question about the nexxus hair care products. 10 ecb when you by $20 nexxus hair care. does this mean i have to buy 20 dollars worth of nexxus or can i buy $20 and a nexxus product was of the things i bought?
  • Jill
Please help me with cvs coupon policy. I am new to cvsing and am trying to get in on the deals. I went in tonight and found some clearance Hershey's Bliss for .75. I also realized I had a coupon for $1 off bag. I was so excited! Of course the coupon beeped, i thought because of overage, but the cashier told me CVS does not accept coupons on clearance items. This sounds crazy to me and I've never heard this about any store before. I was really bummed.
  • CVSKristinAllen
Mysterious_Mentalist is correct! I work at CVS and as long as you have a positive subtotal, the cashier can adjust the value of the coupon to match the price of the item. It does not matter if the item is clearance or not, we get reimbursed for the coupon s by the manufacturers.
  • Mysterious_Mentalist
This is new to me and probably the cashier is incorrect. CVS is the best I have found when it comes to exceptional services. I have used manuf. and CVs printed Qs for clearance items without any problem. In few cases, I used $1 manuf Q on a 99 cent sale item without any problem-Register beeps-all they need is to adjust the price. Same goes for clearance items. They are still "sale" items.

Also=> Let's say you have 1 Q $1/1 for the item and the item is actually 0.75. It would be better if you pick two of those items and then scan one Q. Most likely, the register will not beep. The way register logic works is that it is still looking for a TOTAL on that particular item/items. So you will get total $1.50 subtract $1 Q and due 50 cents. If you scan two Qs on the same two items, then the register will probably beep on the second Q (not the first one) because the balance on those particular manuf items would then be only 50 cents and the Q. value would exceed by another 50 cents. In that case, the cashier should be able to adjust the price for secod Q down to 50 cents and it is allowed and legit.

On a side note, stay firm and confident when employees raise objections. Most are not educated and many are close-minded with no sense of smart shopping-They only know "cash or credit." I have corrected and educated many employees without budging on my transaction I set out to do.
  • michele9775
Does anybody know how you get the rebate for the Quattro Razor? It doesn't mention it in the actual ad but it does here? I am brand new at this. Thanks!
  • Mysterious_Mentalist
I think the rebate in theSS insert is for men's razor type. The sale at CVS is something else, for women, and wont qualify for rebate. So, you may wanna skip it for now and see if a sales comes along for the rebate one.
  • crystalfawn
It was in the 2/7 Smart Source insert of the Sunday paper.
  • Jesskids
Can you use the ECBs on the purchase you are making at that time?
  • Suemh
No. You do not receive them until after you have paid. They are printed at the bottom of your receipt. You can, however, use them for a second transaction. HTH
  • Jesskids
Thank you. That is what I did. I thought of it after I posted the question.

Can someone tell me what to do to print the Aveeno coupons from bricks.com? It always comes up that I need to install the coupon printer. I try to do it and when I select run, nothing happens; then it cycles back to my needing to install the coupon printer. Is it because of filtering software? I'm able to print all coupons except those from bricks.

Does anyone know where to get a cvs coupon for like 5 off 25 or 3 off 15 my 4 off 20 expired sunday and i wanted to combine it with my huggies diaper coupon and get a good deal on diapers that we really need.
  • Amanda
Thanks for your help did you get that coupon recently?
  • crystalfawn
Yes...Got it this past Saturday. In fact, I got that $5/$25 cpn as well as a coupon for $2/$10 on Neutrogena facial care products. They expire on 3/13. Hope you get the $5 off $25 cpn too!
  • crystalfawn
I scanned my CVS ExtraCare card at their little red machine and out came a $5.00 off $25.00 coupon. It's worth a try :-)

So sad, I have misplaced my ECB's from last week. I can see that they are still active on my card, but I can't find the actual paper that was printed off. Does anyone know if there is a way that CVS can just credit me for the ECB's without me having the actual paper in hand?
  • Suemh
I have been told that if you call the customer service number on the back of your card, they will re-issue them t be printed out the next time your card scans. I have not done this myself. Good Luck

CVS's official policy is that they do not replace lost/stolen/etc ecbs. *Sometimes* a person will get lucky when they call CS and will get a nice person who will 're-set' their ecbs, but it is not policy and doesn't always work. If they do re-set them for you, they will call it a 'one time courtesy' and I believe they *might* make a note on your account that they've done this for you one time already (not totally sure about that, I've heard people say that they were told this when they actually got a CS person to nicely re-set their ecbs for them, but I cannot personally confirm). IF you get a nice person who will re-set them for you, they will not reissue them individually, but rather as 1 big lump sum. So if you have 5 $4 ecbs that you've lost, you will not get back 5 individual $4 ecbs, you would get back 1 big $20 ecb. Just so you know. :)

It is very important to protect your ECBs like cash, b/c in most cases you cannot get them back if lost. Some people keep them in their wallet like their cash, others may keep them in an envelope or in a coupon-organizer along with their coupons that they wish to use at CVS so that it's harder to lose them.

If you don't do any form of coupon sorting like mentioned in the tutorials, you can always wrap your coupons around your CVS card. A bit tacky, but you'll be able to find them.
  • Lacie
Where do you get the "all you" coupons..I'm new at this.
  • Susan McCormick

I know that some one has a sale on reach toothbrushes this week. I missed Krogers sale last week and still have $1 off reach toothbrush. Anyone know?
  • 3monkeysmom
Walgreens has the Reach Prevent toothbrushes for .99 with the Walgreens coupon in the ad. I had the $1Q too but they wouldn't let me use them both:-)
  • Stepadoodle
Our Walgreens will let you use both as long as you have more items than coupons (so you might have to grab something for 39 cents to have an extra item, but it still might end up saving you more)!
  • 3monkeysmom
Okay, here's the scoop :-) I was trying to buy 3 toothbrushes. I had (2)$1 coupons, a BOGO coupon and the Wags coupon. I had a few other things I was buying too and I actually had fillers and the perfect coupon to item ratio but the register still wouldn't take it :-( I'm wondering if it's because the the Wags coupon made them .99 and the manufacturers (did I spell that right, it looks weird) coupon was for $1. The cashier tried to use both. She even voided the transaction and started over, using the coupons in a different order but it still wouldn't go through. Oh well, just a toothbrush :-)

I saw Reach Floss on Target tab here

I've just started CVSing and am excited to start saving, but I have questions. Today was my first day using my CVS card. I went in and only bought items that rewarded you back with ECBs. My mistake was that I didn't know there were limits... so I bought 2 bought softsoap bodywashes thinking I'd get $8 ECB back ($4.99 for 1- Get $4 ECB back) after I left the store I saw that there was a limit of 1 for this offer. So to get to my question, I was wondering if the limit is set just that purchase or does it mean that with my CVS card I can only take advantage of this deal 1 time during the pomo? Not that I need anymore soap, but just wondering for my future trips. even after my slip up I'm excited to start "rolling" ECB!

    Thanks!
  • Mysterious_Mentalist
In your ad., it will tell you "Limit X". Assuming you are using just one card (and use just one, more than enough), then that is what your looking for. If the ad says Softsoap $4.99 and get back $4 ECB limit 1, then it is just one time on that card. You may buy more items at that price (they would be happy), but ECB wont print again and again for that week promo.

If the ad says Colgate $2 ECB when you buy 2 for $5 with "limit 2" then 2 for $5 is one offer with ECB of $2. But limit 2 means they are doubling the same offer for you. So you may go back and buy 2 more colgate and get another $2 ECB fora total of $4.

Also, it would be a good idea to buy each offer separate so that your ECB may print in smaller denomination. If you had bought 4 Colgate together in one transaction, from above example, then you would get ECB $4 which would be harder to break when you need to use them for smaller due amount.

if the limit is one it means during the whole promo. I just got a second card in my husbands name so I can do th deals twice. I did this after a cashier asked me once "do you have a second card or is this all under one account." You just have to pay attention to which bucks go with which card. I marked mine so I can tell. At the bottom of the receipt it will say "limit reached" next to the ecb deals. if it doesn't say that go back in and do it again. sometimes the limit isnt really 1 but never assume you can do it more then advertised just watch your receipt and it will tell you. Also I love when CVS is sold out. I pick up rainchecks all over the place ad then can take advantage of the deals later. Sometimes I can get the item later in the week when they restock. In most cases the cashier lets me keep the raincheck since the deal is still valid and when the deal is over I can go back and get it again.
  • renee06
thank you for explaning and also for the raincheck tip!

Where in the store are the Power Bar Gels thingies? Thanks!
  • BB
With the energy bars. Just ask and they will show you if you don't see them.
  • Mindy
If I have 3 separate $2 ECB's, can they be used at the same time or can I only use one?
  • kelli
you can use all of them
  • Amy8794

I heard that there was a Prevacid mir in Parade yesterday. I was thinking that it was Saturday all day and I totally missed getting papers.... would anyone be willing to mail me an extra one that they have? I've got TONS of coupons I could trade.
  • Logibearsmommy
I have a 6.00 and 10.00 off from parade that you are more than welcome too if you want them, I dont see a mir in this one.
  • kelli
thanks for the offer. I'm really looking for the mir. I wouldn't probably buy it if it weren't free or really close to it.
  • scmommy
Sure thing, I always get two papers on my way home from church and I don't need them both. :-) If you don't want to post your address, you can e-mail it to me at ashlec@yahoo.com and I will get it in the mail to you. If you have (and do not need) any diaper or baby food coupons I would be glad to take them off your hands, but if not, no biggie.
  • kelli
thanks so much for the offer! I will email you. :)
  • Grady Gutshall
Where do you get the coupons to use at cvs? If you look at the list of deals... only so many of them have printable coupons but I dont even have a printer. I'm new to this CVSing thing and am wanting to try it out for the first time today but where do i get the coupons? I have their ad from the store but no coupons in it. Maybe some of the coupons are smartsource coupons. I'm not sure. Can anyone help me out? thanks
  • Logibearsmommy
You really need a printer or get access to a printer, a ton of coupons that are used come from the internet! Hope this helps you!
  • Bettyann
the coupons are in your sunday paper.
