  • I can never get there early....I did go Wednesday and there were no deodorants at the CVS near my place of employment. But I did get 2 CVS oatmeals for .25 each. The dates had just expired. And I got $18 worth of lipstick. With my ECB's and coupons my total came to $3.50 and I got $6 more in ECB's!
  • decaturshopper
I was told at the CVS in Decatur AL, that if you used manufacturer's coupons after you purchased $15 worth of items to get the ECB, and the total dropped below $15 that you weren't elegible for the ECB. They said it was a new policy. The cash register added my ECB ($5) for my purchase and the cashier took it away.
  • Rainchecks! I have never had a problem with them honoring them or getting them.

I highly recommend cutting out the ad and stapling it to your raincheck for redemption purposes.
  • Jackie
Starting today Bi-Lo has Suave on BOGO. So, this makes the Suave deodorant FREE!!

I work for CVS and they may run out but will give u a raincheck and they have a code number so when they fill the raincheck u will be able to get your ECB. They are good about that.
  • Laura
I think someone posted about the printable coupons not matching up with the sale deodorants, I did the transactions exactly as listed here, and CVS took all the coupons so I was able to get the deal. it worked for me.
  • Susan
To those complaining about not getting the deals, just stop and think about all the things you have, all the deals you have gotten that others may not have and stop whining. My two daughters and I went to CVS yesterday to get razors, deod., and Glade. We got part of what we were looking for but not all of it. That's just the way it goes.Get your rainchecks and let your local manager know that you didn't get the products you wanted. In the future, they will stock more. It's supply and demand. Some people need to take their extra time and read, "Big Girls Don't Whine".
  • SusanL
Sorry, this is not the same Susan that replied below to Emilytwinmom. This is the first time (Susan) that I've commented here. Sorry, I don't mean to sound harsh in my above comments, but the whining is just not conducive to growth and peaceful living. I'll use SusanL to help prevent confusion with the Susan who posted to Emilytwinmom.
  • rebeccagrr
Tried to print the $3/2 and it said the campain was over. The $1.25 printed no problem.
  • Jessica
The 3 closest CVS don't carry the Degree Girl and that is the only coupon I have, so bummed
  • Cissy
my first time cvs too! I was astounded...they did not carry the "girl degree" so the clerk let me choose from the others.very exciting! Jenny can't thank you enough.Have a great week!
  • Feeding6
This would be a great deal, but none of the CVS stores in my area carry the Degree Girl deodorant! And since my husband doesn't use this kind, I am out of luck.
  • Amanda
Can you use the $5 ECB on that purchase to truely make them 15 cents each? And if so, how do you do that? Or are you just getting back the $5 ECB to be used on another purchase?
  • 3monkeysmom
You're just getting the ECB to use on another purchase. They print off on the end of your receipt :-)
  • Amanda
Thanks for the idea!! I printed the coupons and I plan on going Saturday night but this will be my first time CVSing...how do I use the ECB to pay for my deodorants? I didn't think you could do seperate transactions since you need to spend $15 in order to get the deal. Thanks for you help!
  • Jamie
I just got an email for $3 off $15, so this makes for a even better deal!!! YAY! I love CVS and Southern Savers.
  • justincase1031
Is it a coupon that opens in Adobe? Can you provide a link for it, or is it specific to you? I receive offers from CVS, however, I haven't received it....yet(?!).

If you can post a link, that would be GREAT.
  • Jamie
No it doesn't open in Adobe. It says "Jamie" on it and at the bottom it says that it is only for the intended recipient.
  • RoxiG
My $3/$15 is personalized with my name on it, otherwise I would have been happy to post a link for you.
  • April
Now an even better deal! Just got a link to a $3 off $15 purchase at CVS through Sunday in my email!
  • Jennifer
I'm still kinda new to this.....so CVS will let me use 3 of the $3/2 coupons? They don't limit you to one coupon even though the coupon says "one per purchase"?
  • denise
you r making 6 purchases if this makes any sense, you can use the 3/2, once you get the hang of it u will love this. i have not bought deodarant, shampoo, razors, etc for years, then for xmas i make my friends baskets with my extras and always get told they are the best gifts.
  • Jennifer
Ok so what your saying basically is each product is a "purchase"...is that correct?
  • gery220
I am also a bit new but they will take 1 manf. cpn per item. In this case u r using 3 becuz 1 cpn is for 2 items. I hope this makes sense....If I am wrong please someone correct me.
  • tricia3462
I live within 8 miles of 6 CVS stores and none of them ever have anything in stock. It is infuriating!Manage to grab the last 2 stayfree at one store taday after going to 2 others first. I am sure I will not find any deodorants next week. I quess rainchecks are the way to go.
  • gery220
Ok so I have 2 CVS stores that are close to me. And one of them takes competitor cpns. They have a BIG red sign that state this. But the other one does not, what they do accept is food stamps. So ASK and know the guide for each one...
  • irisfaith
You know what's funny? I always figured that "competitors" would be businesses selling similar items within a certain distance from each other. Not so much. My Publix and Rite-Aid share a parking lot, but do not honor each others drug coupons. That same Publix is the only grocery store in town, but will take Kroger and Ingles coupons, when Target and Food Lion are a shorter drive from the next town over. These are not complaints at all, just observations. I am thankful that any of them take any other stores' coupons at all. "So ask and know the guide for each one" is SUPER advice!!
  • Gina
CVS does give rain-checks. I don't know about the ECB. I do know that Wal-greens give rain checks too but not extra rewards ... So .. CVS is better if they also give ECB on rain checks
  • Becky
How do you find out about the upcoming deals?
  • Bridgette
If you have 2 printers hooked up to one computer will it let you print more coupons that way?
  • Snellmom
No, but if you have two computers hooked up to one printer, it will let you print more coupons. It uses the MAC address (I really don't know what that means but my geek husband tells me that it is the special number assigned to your computer) from your computer to tell if it has printed or not.
  • Susan
    Don't think so.
  • PtriciaMc
    Great deal! Thanks for sharing!

I really love CVS, it's my favorite place to get awesome deals!!!

This week I started with 8 ECBs

    Bought: 2- Oral B CrossAction toothbrushed $4/each

    1- Nivea lip gloss $2.99

    used 2 .75/off Oral B
    8 ECBs

spent $2.37 OOP & got back $10.99 in ECBs
  • I made my last trip to CVS last sunday morning. I was there fifteen minutes after the store opened, and everything that was a good ECB sale was gone. Pads, toothbrushes, you name it the shelves were empty. The store mgr actually told me they had sold out the night before, because they start honoring the sale a half hour before they close. So reading all of the posts about how people have tons of free deodorants etc. made me understand why there weren't any for us. I hate to sound rude, but this happens every single time I try to buy something on sale at CVS, so I am just going to leave "cvs-ing" to the pros who have figured out how to get there first.
  • Jess
I am with you on this - I have 3 CVS stores close to me and 2 kids (ages 1 & 2). So...it is an effort to get in the store, but each time I do, atleast half of the great deals are already gone - like you said, even on Sunday morning! Deals are GREAT, but I think I am going to have to quit dragging my kids in for a bunch of deals we can't get and just go to the park more! I'm so glad that this site has taught me how to save so much on regular grocery trips so we are just gonna stick to that for now. :)
  • I went to Ride Aid for the first time thursday and even though it was towards the end of the "sale week" they still had everything in stock I wanted, I used all my coupons and got the john frieda and diaper deals! They limit how many "single check rebates" you can get on each sale item, so you really can't cheat there ;) I have found my new store!!! Thanks for the many responses, it's nice to know I'm not the only one this happened to!
  • guest
Yes, some people clean the shelves and brag about it!
  • Melanie
I can understand your frustration. My husband and I went to CVS just this evening on a "date night" to CVS. I was actually most interested in the Raisin Bran deal. At the one closest to our home, they were sold out. I didn't actually think about a raincheck at the time until leaving and then questioned whether the ECB would be given at a later date since they are issued by the register receipt during the week of sale. We then opted to head to another CVS store (over the Intracoastal) on the off chance they would have the cereal in stock. They did...my husband wasn't a believer until he spent $.57 for 4 boxes of cereal and 2 pkgs. of 18 ct. Always pads, using ECB from my previous transactions and then was given $5 on the register receipt. I am hoping that another CVS store is close to your home as well and could possibly alleviate your frustration in the future.
  • Koni71
Rainchecks are an awesome idea for CVSing. The cashier usually right sales ad number for the ECB on the raincheck...So this is normally not a problem....But, Kudos for you on such a good buy!
  • Melissa
I always have trouble getting the really good sale items at my CVS before all the "eary birds" get there. Sunday is our family/worship day, so I don't do any shopping until Monday or later in the week. And, I won't shop on Sat night b/c that is the only night my 2nd shft working hubby is home for romance. (wink)
Making friends with your store clerks/manager helps. I found out from my store when the truck comes in and also they are willing to give rainchecks to me with ECBs forced when I use it. Hang in there, CVS is really a great store!
  • sherryw1
find out when their truck comes. I went and did my shopping today because the truck comes to the stores around my area on Thursdays. I also shop several stores so that I do not buy everything up in one store.
  • 1MiniMom
I realize it is frustrating to get there and the shelves be bare but I hate to see anyone give up on CVS. It's a great store and they have a great system. The employees at my store are always sad when something is out of stock and they are more than happy to write a rain check.
  • Susan
You can always get rainchecks---CVS honors them for the sale price and even issues the extrabucks for the items when you purchase them later, and they never expire.
  • Lucy
I'm sorry it's been happening to you. I hope you have a different CVS close by. It happens to me too. The closest CVS is sold out of EVERYTHING free or on sale. I mean everything. Not a single item left, no matter how early I get there. However... there is a different CVS only about half a mile away from me (Orlando), and no matter when I come, they are always stocked up! This CVS is in more upscale area, and it seems to me that people are either not aware of the good deals or don't care about them... Works good for me anyhow. So I really hope that you have a different CVS close by that's stocked up.
  • gery220
Glad to see someone from Orlando, FL here.
  • Mysterious_Mentalist
Do any Degree or Dove, any variety is $2.50?
  • amelia
Do you actually get $5 ECB, since it will only cost you $6??? You aren't spending $15 like it requires...
  • Lucy
You will get the extra bucks because they count it BEFORE coupons :)
  • Mandy
You are spending $15 before coupons...Sales with the stores are separate from manufacturer coupons.
  • Mysterious_Mentalist
You do. Coupon values are also "spending" that are counted towards total.
  • Misty
Just remember if you have a Harris Teeter in your area, you can print and save the $1.50/1 for Super Doubles if they have them before they expire.
  • Misty
Sorry, I meant $1.25/1. I haven't had my morning coffee yet.
  • dawnmommycoupon
I love all the deals you come up with and just in time my hubby was running low on the smell goods :)
  • kimpo76
Are all of these Dove and Degree deodorants going to be $2.50 or should we print a certain coupon?
  • ginnyw
I am so excited about this! My husband just ran out of deo yesterday! WOOHOO!!! Thanks for all you do Jenny!
  • Sunny
Well you probably don't want to wait until Sunday! lol. :) Get something to tide him over! lol
  • Lucy
ha ha ha I was thinking the same thing!
  • RuthieS
    Thanks :)
  • aolss
I received a Target coupon book yesterday that had two coupons to pair with these deals (obviously, not at CVS).

    $1/1 Degree for men deodorant
    $1/1 Dove ultimate clear deodorant
  • xxstitcherxx61
what is $ECB? i don't shop at cvs
  • Shannon
It is short for "EXTRA CARE BUCKS" which is "CVS" dollars...and you can use them like cash at CVS on your next purchase...
  • RuthieS
It would only let me print two coupons for any one deodorant...:(
  • amelia
Go to another print to print the 3rd
  • dillard_christina
If you don't have access to a second computer, just use two $3/2 and two $1.25/1. It will only increase your total cost by $.50, so $1.40 for six instead of $.90 for six.
  • Dianne
That is the limit for each computer. If you have access to another computer, you can get two more coupons of each.
  • zombiemommy
Deodorants are the hardest thing to get for those toiletry boxes at the shelters.. Buy 6 for .90 cents and donate them to your shelter or someone who is putting together shelter boxes for the United Way Legacy Shoebox project...

PS If you are in the atlanta area and have tons and want to donate them, let me know:)
  • texassaver
All of our stockpiling should really be used to help others in need. Seriously, do any of us "need" 15 sticks of deodorant, or ______? Keep what we use, give away the rest. Great stewardship of our stuff!
  • dillard_christina
I actually would like to unload some of my hygiene stockpile. I'm in east Gwinnett. Can you reply with info on where I can donate some of this stuff??

    Thanks!
  • zombiemommy
Sorry I never commented back to you because I assumed you would just donate to Snellmom. But just in case that doesn't work out, I can work out a trip sometime out east (we live in nw suburb). Email me at myzombiemommy (at) gmail
    dot com.

  • Snellmom
I am in Gwinnett County, too, and my husband helps with a ministry in Lawerenceville- Streetwise. They are off of Cedars Road near the airport. They distribute food, clothing, and hygiene items as well as many other services. Email me at tellis777 at yahoo if you'd like some information about dropping stuff off. This is usually where our stockpile goes.
  • amylaurenscott
This is pretty awesome :). I have a lot of deodorant... I actually bought the clinical strength one for $3.99. Which I know is still expensive for deodorant, but I work out 6 days a week and wanted to try that one.

But I know my mom's church was putting together care packages for Haiti and this would be really great for that for so cheap. So I'll most likely do the deal anyway.
  • Tanya
No coupons printed. I just says, "Thank you for printing our coupon." :(
  • Misty
Does the deal include the Dove Ultimate go fresh?
  • Jenny,
I don't know how you do it, and I pray you have time for your family and kids...but I want you to know that I am SO appreciative. It saves me a ton!
    S
  • emily_hope
Thanks for the heads up. I do hope I can get some. This week the Oral B toothbrushes were already gone on Sunday.
  • Dianne
Always ask for a rain check on missing items. You can get them the next week and get the ECBs, too!
  • Gabi
There will be a lot of good smelling homeless folks in Columbia next week :-) Our church heads to Finlay Park once a month to feed and clothe them there. We always need personal hygiene items. This is great! Thanks, Jenny
  • gayla_p
    I noticed that too.
  • jakki
Am I missing something? It says $3 ECB WYB $15 in deodorants, but under "Deal Idea" it says you get $5 ECB back. What am I missing? Thanks
