    • Nackle78

This is FANTASTIC!! Just what I've been looking for :) thank you.

    • Kevinpiner

I need your help, Jenny! I am an avid couponer. My daughter needs a graphing calculator and I need to find a deal. I can't find one for under 89.99 and my wallet cannot stand that right now. Any suggestions?

      • Jjfdv

I paid $83 on ebay. Not the best deal but every penney helps.

      • Dixie

I would recommend ebay too. And I don't know what kind her teacher requires (I am a math teacher) but contact him or her and ask if an older version would be okay. For instance, if she needs a TI84Plus, her teacher may allow a TI83 as it has most of the same features. I do, so it never hurts to ask. You may come up with a better deal that way.

        • Kevinpiner

I am her teacher. She is homeschooled. I suppose I am ancient as well. I took Algebra 1 in 1979. No calculators then. College level statistice in 1980's and no computers-everything by hand. What is the purpose of these calculators? Shouldn't the student learn to do the work themselves?

      • Phyllis

Staples have them for $ 99.99 and a 20% discount coupon plus a $10.00 Rebate! Just purchased one today!

        • Kevinpiner

Thanks, Phyllis! I will go online and look at Staples. I would rather pay 70.00 for a brand new one than 80 for used off of e-bay!

      • SFLS

Have you tried requesting one on Freecycle? Are you a part of any homeschooling groups that may have someone willing to lend one to you?

As far as technology is concerned, knowing how to operate the calculator is a skill.

    • Gmomofive

Today is orientation… this list is going on my wall!! Whose the favorite teacher now! Mwahah!

    • Courtneyjoella

My daughter was being really finicky and cranky the last time we went backpack shopping so I think I missed all the good deals. I did, however, get all the school supplies for all three kiddos for a mere $16. This may mean that I need to bite the bullet and drop a wad on the backpacks. Any suggestions my fellow Savers????

      • Newlyweds0209

People save so they can spend more when needed. Not everything can be bought with coupons or at a great deal. So i would go ahead and get the backpack.

      • SFLS

We always get great deals at the local oultet mall – VF Outlet store. This year, the Jansport backpacks were $9.34 and $16.07 and they last!

    • Shopperrebecca

Courtney – I love the Lands end and LL Bean backpacks. They last forever and they will repair or replace them. I think the Lands End ones are still 25% off with free shipping through midnight CST tonight (Tuesday). HTH!

    • E/W Connector Walmart in Marietta, GA has the stretchy book covers for 25 Cents.
