Looking for something to do with your children this weekend? If you hold a Bank of America or Merrill Lynch credit or debit card, you could get FREE access to museums in your area!

Check the list of museums participating in the Museums on Us program. All you need to do is show a photo ID and your bank card on September 3-4th to get FREE access.

Already made plans this weekend? This deal runs on the first weekend of every month.

(In my area it makes one of the worlds most expensive Children’s museums free, so we love it!)

    • For SC it’s only in Columbia :(

    • Carrie

Does just the card holder get in free, or kids too? We can go to the EdVenture Children’s Museum in Columbia, SC, but do we still pay the kids admission price?

      • We’ve done this a few times and everyone got in free!

        • Lisa

Oh, thanks for your reply! I just asked the SAME question after looking to see if you’d commented on it yet.

      • I’m wondering this too. This info is great! I’ve been wanting to take the kids to Marbles in Raleigh, but it was always such a splurge I couldn’t justify. Now I can!

I read the details on the Orlando museum website, and it said that only the card holder gets in for free. Maybe different museums have different rules? I don’t know, but I am going to call first before I go!

    • Shelnmay

BOA website says free admission is limited to the cardholder.

I wouldn’t mind driving to Columbia one weekend to see Edventure, but I really wish the Children’s Museum of the Upstate was on the list, since it’s less than 20 minutes away! But even more than that, I wish BOA would quit with the free museum passes all over the US and just take the $12 charge off my checking account each month.

    • Lisa

Jenny, do they let your kids in free too, or just you? I’ve got a BoA card and almost planned to bring the kids to EdVenture this weekend till I read that it only applied to the cardholder.

I just called Edventure and only the card holder gets in free….you would have to pay for children….I was wondering the same thing.

There couldn’t be a worse bank in the nation.
If you have any common sense, join your local credit union or a small, independent local bank for true customer service. These people at BOA don’t give a hoot about their customers-case in point-the man in CA that was arrested the day hewalked into a local branch and asked the teller if a check he’d been given was good. They called the police and cuffed him-right there in front of horrified customers. It took him thousands of dollars and ruined his reputation before this was finally resolved.
Here’s the kicker-reps at BOA, on live local radio in Atlanta, GA, interviewed by the national consumer advocate Clark Howard, when asked in great detail about this incident, NEVER admitted to any wrong doing on the part of BOA.
What a travisty we bailed these people out with our tax dollars.

I was wondering the same thing as the below.

We went to our local museum in GA today – website said that the deal extended to today since it’s a holiday – however when we got there, they said they only honored it for Fri/Sat – they had “chosen” not to participate.  So we had to pay $48 for the 5 of us, instead of just $24 for the kids. :(
