Where are the skinny cow coupons on facebook?  The link directs you to a contest only.  I even looked over their whole facebook page & couldn’t find anything.

      • Tiggerstyle99

just play the game they will give you a free code, then they will email you the coupon

    • Jkdeal74

OK. got it figured out on the skinny cow cpns.  You have to play the game & then they will email you a coupon.  If you don’t have a code, click “enter code” anyway & then click on “get code”.  They will provide 1 for free.  Play 3 times, get 3 cpns.

      • Kathyq57

Now we know… convert your ECBs to gift cards this week so you won’t need to worry about them expiring next week!

      • Bamabobbie

How?  Didn’t know you could do that.

        • ireneY

Just purchase the items towards the $30 gift card with your ecbs. The gc doesn’t expire.

    • Crystalgoodwin3

Be sure to scan those cards at the red machine.
      I just got a $5 off $15.
      Awesome!

    • Trish

Skipping yet another week.  I actually popped into my local CVS just to say hello to my managers/cashiers since I haven’t shopped going on a month now.  They were asking me what was going on since they haven’t seen any of the regulars…..lol!  I wonder if corporate has noticed the slow down?  Still love CVS though :)

      • Couponer

It’s been fabulous shopping the past few weeks and will continue this week. Some of us received $15 off a Physician’s Formula Skin Care CRT a couple weeks ago and $4/$20 CRT this week.  So, buy a $15.99 PF Skin Care, 3 Milky Way (using coupons – all will be free) and a Colgate toothbrush for $2.99.  oop is $0  Receive $15 ECB, $.75 ECB, $2 ECB.    And, that’s $15.99 towards the Beauty Club purchases.  Doesn’t get much better than that for the week.  :-)

    • Couponer

The Physician’s Formula Skin Care ECB does not include make-up items.  The concealer stick can be found in the “face” category on the PF website.  The skin care items are generally in the $15.99 to $19.99 price range.

the items at my store start at $20.99, nothing cheaper than that

        • avg

My CVS in not selling them at all !! Bummer.

      • Kat175

My CVS doesn’t sell the skin care items and the cashier told me any of the concealers, tinted moisturizers should work.  And they did!  Actually I got a $12 and $15 and it took the whole amount off! I even asked the cashier (who was the manager that day) if it was okay and she said absolutely!  It rang through without a problem!

So bummed with CVS lately….I need a Pampers Jumbo Pack $30/$10 ECB deal ASAP!!!!!

      • Maria

Love these deals with CVS, too.  But, if you are in desperate need of cheap diapers RiteAid has their Huggies Jumbo Packs at $30/$10 +UP,  hth.

      • If you have a Bi-Lo near you they have a pretty good deal on Huggies right now.

    • Christie

Does anyone know if the CVS brand batteries are any good?  Are they comparable to the name brands?  I have a three year old boy with so many toys that use up batteries so quickly!!!

      • guest

I have the AAA kind from CVS and I find it to not be as strong as the other brands like Energizer or Duracell.  Mine have drained pretty fast.  If you may be using it in a toy that your son doesn’t use that much then it would probably be ok.  HTH

      • Kat175

I thought they were beyond awful and I am not picky. We used them in a pinch for a camera that does run through batteries quickly, but they literally lasted less than one day.  I was shocked.  I used the remainder for a remote control that had lasted forever on the old batteries.  Just a couple of months later and they had to be replaced…

There was a study about a year ago that testes many brands including store brands and the cvs baterries were the worst. Your better off stocking up everytime staples has free battery deals.

        • Eric S.

Sorry for my bad spelling. Lol

      • Kathyhodges

60 minutes did a study and they say the store batteries are just as good. I always buy the Dokkar Store brand ot the ones at Sav a Lot. I also bought a nice battery charger from Hsn so we recharge ours too.

    • Jenn1998

Is it just me, or has CVS stopped emailing/offering the $5 off $20, etc. coupons?? I haven’t gotten any since like the beginning of the year.

      • avg

No it is not just you. Same here :( I only receive offers if I buy stuff online.

      • VP22

Me neither but I scanned my uncle’s newer card a few times and he keeps getting $/$$. It seems like once you have been shopping for awhile they just stop. To me, that’s backwards. I would think you would give them to your regular shopper’s more to keep them happy. A happy customer is usually a repeat customer.

      • You can buy them off ebay. Thats what I have to do. I buy 5 every week for .99 cents. They email them to u right after you win the lot! So easy and convient. They don’t beep because the ones you get online are not actually tied to your card. Only the ones that print from the red machine are.

        • guest

I’m so glad that you mentioned this.  I’ve been wondering about buying some of the 4 off 20 coupons from ebay, but I wasn’t sure if this was acceptable use.  I don’t want to skirt the rules or cheat CVS, but I’d love to have the Qs to use.  What do you all think?  Is it okay to purchase these online and use them?

          • technically no…it’s frowned upon in the couponing community! though it has lowered my oop to 0 and made almost all my trips MM…so in my opinion it’s worth it!

All I have gotten recently is a 1 dollar off softsoap bar soap sent to my extra care card.  I found that a bit odd.  Its normally the 5 off 20 or some percent off deal

    • Ktmccrary

I just have a quick question:

      Does anyone know for sure:

When you do one of those $10 EB for $30 spent, does it have to be $30 AFTER coupons??

      • Sheila_P

It’s $30 before coupons.  If your ECBs don’t print, check the bottom of your receipt to see how much of your purchase counted towards the deal.  Most of the time, it just won’t print because the exact size of product wasn’t purchased, or the exact item was on clearance.  (clearance items don’t count).

Just spent $83.00 at CVS for 164.00 worth of “stuff” – plus got two 10 gas cards, and 23.00 in EBC’s…Life is good when you coupon! Thanks for all you do Southern Savers! Able to head to the beach and enjoy the long weekend!

    • AllisWest

Just want to say “Thanks” to all of you and especially to Jenny for sharing your amazing experiences on the SMART way to use coupons!  I had never been to a CVS before last week; but in the last 4 days I’ve gotten some incredible deals! Today I walked out with $23 worth of stuff and paid less than $6. CVS is my new favorite store and saying that isn’t just a bunch of bull because I absolutely HATE shopping, period! I used to think cutting coupons was a waste of time, but saving 75% off my total purchase is a real eye opener. Thanks again!

      • Shenna

I feel the same! I used to HATE CVS b/c it was so expensive. Now that I now how to shop there, I LOVE it!LOL

      •  hey there,
happy to welcome you to the world of couponing and saving!

    • ME

I don’t care if Depends ARE free…I’m not gonna get caught buying them until I HAVE to.  LOL!

      • Maria

Ha! My mother uses these and when I purchase these for her, I always get that one person looking at me weird.  The cashiers know me pretty well and see my Mom when I bring her with me.  They don’t look at me funny…anymore, that is. Hehe  =)

      • Couponer

I buy over $100 worth of Depends and other items each week to donate to the local organization that supports thousands of elderly in my area.  My contributions barely scratch the surface to what the organization needs but they truly appreciate every single item they receive.

Why not check around to see who in your area can use a helping hand?  It’s very easy to get over your embarrassment in buying products when you know they’re going to folks who can’t afford them or can’t go out to buy them themselves.

The organizations can always use toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorants, soap and bodywash, Depends and Tena, feminine hygiene, razors, shave cream, etc.

      • Mzeggert

you can always donate them to the local nursing home AND it is a charitable contribution (tax time)

    • Stephanie

      Yay, Skinny Cow!!

    • Shadunn

My CVS in FL says the $10 when you spend $30, has to be $30 after coupons. They’ve been adamant about it, so I don’t ever do those deals anymore. Tried 2x and ecb’s didn’t print, they insisted both times the total must be $30 after coupons. Have they been wrong?

      • honaker13

I have 3 stores located near me and at all 3 it’s always been before coupons. I could spend 29.96 and it would still print the ECBs. So I’m not sure what’s going on with your store :-/

      • Dude

I’m in Jax and have been to a NUMBER of CVS’s here. Never once have I had to spend 30 after coupons to get the reward.

      • Jfm

The CVS cashiers in Birmingham area work it out so that you get your $30 total, then start taking off coupons.  They never require the $30 after coupons and extra bucks.

      • Sheila_P

Any time your ECBs don’t print, you should check the bottom of your receipt to see if your products tallied towards the promotion.  There is always the possibility that you just got the wrong sizes/flavor/etc and that’s why it didn’t count towards your $30.  The registers are programmed to print the ECBs based on the total before coupons, no matter what your individual store management says.  If your tally is showing the amount after coupons, then try calling CVS Corporate to see if your store is a test store or something like that.

    • honaker13

Bummed we didn’t get the BOGO Schick coupons or the $2.00 sunscreen coupons in my area!

    • dude

I am a single male and I got an email about joining the CVS Beauty Club. :-x

Do you think shaving products, face wash/acne products, and lotion would qualify as “beauty” or would it be limited to make-up and stuff?

      • Maria

Hi Dude…the Beauty Club isn’t just for cosmetics.  It also includes your skin care such as the face wash/acne products, face & body lotion, and other products for men.  I do not see why the shaving products would be excluded.  But, if you go on the website, under Beauty, you can find a list of the products that participate.  When I buy items for my husband, I notice my Beauty Club rewards get closer to the $50 required.  hth.

        • couponme

          shave products are not included.

          • Maria

Are you sure? Jenny just mentioned above that they are included.  I’ve bought shaving gel for the hubby before and the total was added to my Beauty club.

            • Stacyannw

i also don’t think that shaving items are part of the beauty club, but i could be wrong

            • Stacyannw

i also don’t think that shaving items are part of the beauty club, but i could be wrong

      • Couponer

Beauty Club includes face wash/acne products, lotions, sun care, hair care, and many more products.  The $50 is before coupons and CRTs/ECB offers.  It adds up quickly so you can earn a $5 ECB very easily.  (There’s a list of qualifying product categories on the CVS website.)

      •  Thankfully those items do qualify, you would be surprised all the items that qualify as “beauty” items! Shaving gel, face wash, lotion…

I just got back from my late night CVS run. Heads up on the Physicians Formula deal. My friendly go to cashier said that the blue kinds of skin are had been ringing up $4.99! So I checked. It rang up $4.99 and he said it didn’t say anythig about clearance. The deal excludes clearance. We tried it and it didn’t spit out my ECB. :( but then he asked me if I wanted a refund and checked the ad to see that the one I grabbed was pictured so he manually printed my $15 ECB anyways!!! I love CVS!!

      • Kitty

Thanks for the heads up. My Cvs had the blue spf moisturizer on sale for $5.25 so I bought that and one of the purple moisturizers for $20.99 since I had the $12 coupon from the red coupon machine. I used my overage from the $12 coupon to get the blue one for free :)

      • ireneY

Didn’t work for me. The manager said $4.99 was a clearance price, which are excluded from ECB deal. Oh well.

    • lay_may

Kind of an odd question but here it goes

a while back there was a really nice employee at CVS and she told me if they were out of stock of an item (at the time skintimate with the $1 CVS cpn for CREAM and the $1 mfr cpn for CREAM) they will sub the item and still take te coupons

so she let me do the gel with the cream coupons
is this realaly their policy? has anyone heard it before?

      • ETcpnr

I’ve had this happen one time, most of the time they have offered me a substitution but when I said I had a coupon for the other item, I was offered a rain check instead. Hope this helps! I bet it depends on the store manager.

      • Acfarms2

that has happened to me also

        • BdaJda06

they have done that for me too

    • ETcpnr

Heads up! My local CVS just got ANOTHER new manager, she has told her employees that CVS coupons (ecbs, red machine, online, receipt, etc) NEVER expire in her store. I don’t know if this is a new corporate thing or just a this new manager thing, but you may just want to ask your local manager about their policy.

      • bj

send her my way-mine would not take the next day-as soon as they opened-good thing it wasn’t but a few $s

      • Trish

Probably because she is a “new” manager and needs to improve her stores numbers.  I have 2 cvs stores relatively close to my home. One store accepts expired coupons up to 1 week and the other will not take them at all if they are expired.

has anyone tried the 10$ecb on tanning, razors, tampons? i asked the cashier before making a purchase because the “select” items were 7.99 which would = 24$ and the cashier said it had to be 25$ to get the ecb. so you would actually have to spend 32$ to get the deal.

      • Kim R

Just did that deal, 2 razors and 2 banana boat suntan lotions and did receive the $10 EBC.  But also did the PF concealer stick and did not receive any EBCs.

        • Couponer

The PF concealer stick is part of the PF make-up line.  It’s not considered PF Skin Care so an ECB wouldn’t have printed with purchase.  Check the aisle with Olay, L’Oreal and other skin/facial care items for the PF skin care line.

      • Stephanie

I did the deal and Spent $26.34 (before coupons) because if you spent $7.99 each for three items (I bought two tampons and one sunscreen), the shaving cream is also part of the deal and it is $2.37, if I remember correctly.  I bought a Skintimate Shave Gel and it qualified.

        • Livserge331

Thanks, I am glad to know that the shaving cream works for the deal too!

      • Brittany7720

I did it. Bought four of the razors. Subtotal $31.96. There are B1G1 coupons from inserts. And there are $2/1 printables online at coupons.com. Makes it $11.98 before tax. Get back $10 ECB. The online coupons are for the Schik xtreme 3 ECO which my store didn’t have but the register took them anyways.

4 bags of Hersheys Pieces, 2 milky ways, (1) Bliss; (1) True North Almond Pecan Crunch; (4) Schick disposable razors and (1) PF Wrinkle Corrector . OOP with no ECBs = $10 00P.  sent in for $5 rebate on free True North Almond Pecan Crunch and sent in for (2) free movie tickets ($29 value) …..SWEET!!!! plus I think I hit a $50 beauty club reward….I LOVE MY CVS!!!!!

      • Teaguewoman

That’s awesome!  What did you have to buy to get the two movie tickets?

        • Wendysurfmom

The Schick razors have marked packages with a free fandango ticket for a movie:) Its the green-I think ten packs

    • Almsw119

I went to CVS for a non-sale item.  I REALLY needed my moisturizer, and it is the only one I can use.  I purchased a Olay Sensitive Moisturizer ($11.45) and Olay pump foaming face wash ($4.94).  I had a $3/$15 that was e-mailed to me, $3 off any 2 Olay products, and $4 ECB.  I also had 25% off coupon (used on the moisturizer).  So, I came out with $3.70 paid.  It qulified for me to get $5 ECB for the Beauty Club!

    • Loraine Loves Coupons

I can’t find the Xtra coupon

      • mrs. b

I did not see it in my inserts either and I’m in South Florida

    • Maria

I was hoping to use my 25% off towards the PF deal, but my CVS has yet to receive the skin care line.  I spoke with one of my fave cashiers/sup and she told me that it has been 3 weeks, since the beginning of the first advertisement for the line, that they haven’t received any.  My percent off expires today, I used it for the L’oreal and Revlon purchases.  But, my $15 off PF Skin care expires soon.  Am I the only one with this dilemma?

      • bj

the pf skin care item printed on  rec worked on the tinted moisturizer-made it free-but the 15 eb does not print on  tinted moisturizer-our store does not carry the product pic in ad-if bad comes to worse-as it does sometimes-u might try it-good luck

        • Couponer

The PF skin care coupon that printed on your receipt wasn’t “smart” enough to know what item you purchase so of course it worked on the tinted moisturizer.  The PF Skin Care ECB, however, is smart enough to know what item you’ve purchased so it won’t print out an ECB when you’ve purchased the wrong item.

        • Maria

Thank you for the reply. :)

      • Drfoste3

I had one of the PF $15 dollar coupons when the cosmetics were B1G1 %50 off and included in the gas deal.  No other stores within 20 miles carry the skin care line.  So, I asked the manager if she would consider doing a substitution, and she did!  She let me get the cosmetics instead.  So maybe you can still use your coupon. It never hurts to ask, but I think it is up to each individual store manager. hth

    • Dd

Is the physician skin care a bonus buy or unadvertised item? I don’t see it in the ad and I’m afraid to buy it and no eve print. Someone please reply.

      • Couponer

Depending upon your ad, the offer location within the ad may vary.  But, start by checking page 10 (give or take a page or two) where the other Beauty Club items are listed.

      • Faerybreath

It is only on the skin care items.  The cosmetics are not included.  Tried it, didn’t work.

    • Livserge331

The price amounts for the Banana Boat/Schick/Playtex deal arre unfair. The items are $7.99 yet the rewards are at $25 and $50.. you have to buy 4 to get to $25 (really $31.98) and you have to buy 7 to get to $50 (really $55.93.)  I noticed after doing the deal once that I only needed $18.04 to get to the next reward, so I planned to get two more razor sets with my last BOGO coupon, and that would leave me with only $2.06 to fill… I checked here hoping there was a small item I could get, but n. I hate when all the items are the same price!

      • Jnn_horan

I thought the same thing too, but then I noticed that the skintimate (2.29) was still included in the deal even though it’s not shown in the ad. The yellow tags were posted under them on the shelf.

      • Brandi

What is the $50 deal? I know the buy $25 get $10 ecb back but whats the other one?

        • Sheila_P

          • Brandi

At my CVS the Schick shave creams/gels are included in the deal. They were $2.99 I believe…

Does anyone know, when you do a transaction and your receipt prints out, there is a blurb about beauty care club totals on it. Is that UP TO DATE with the immediate transaction?

It takes 24-48hrs, usually closer to 48, to update.

      • mrn1

you can look online in about 2-3 days and it will give you your updated total.

      • Laura R

If you sign up again using a different email address and maybe fib that you are older…i know i signed up for my grandmother who is 82 and I received a $2/1 coupon that I was able to print twice.

      • Lzbacnik

there is a $ 2.00 coupon in each box of Silhouette Depends

        • Stacyannw

that 2.00 off q is just for the larger box, not the 3ct

    • Cblankenship2

I was told tonight that CVS no longer accepts Q’s printed from the internet..She said this was a corporate change about 2 weeks ago..Has anyone else heard this?…I went to another CVS and they took them

      • mrn1

that’s not true, otherwise the other CVS wouldn’t have taken them either.  sounds like a cranky non coupon friendly employee to me. I swear some of these people think we are taking money out of their pockets.

      • Dtcox1

not in v a hope not  ……………. but at our magic mart they can no longer take because of fraud

      • Denisec

CVS has printable coupons on their site!

i would ask a manager next time you are in there, that does not sound right to me. always ask a manager if there is ever a question like that.

        • tina

oh and if that had been a TRUE policy change Jenny would have been all over it!!!!!!!  good luck!

      • Sheila_P

It’s not a corporate-wide thing as it’s not in their coupon policy.  However, CVS has always granted individual store managers a LOT of leeway on coupon acceptance.  That is why some stores will take expired ECBs or CRTs and others won’t.  The manager at your store may have changed the policy at her store to not accept printables because of fraud or something.  The CVS closest to me has the lowest prices, but they REALLY don’t want to accept printable coupons.  They hassle me to much over them so I shop at another store.  None of the stores around me will accept an expired CRT, or mfr coupon, but they will all take an ECB that is 1-2 days expired.

If they do not take internet printable coupons then WHY does CVSdotcom have printable coupons? Find out the name of the district manager and make a call!

      • Rubies20

My store carries it but I didn’t get the coupon

Has anyone seen the Hawaiian Tropic Razors in the stores, yet?

    • mrn1

If anyone has the Crest Vocalpoint mailer that came last month and expires on 5/31, this is an awesome week to use those coupons.  The ProHealth Clinical mouthwash and toothbrush are moneymakers if you have the redbox coupons for $1 off mouthrinse and $1 off toothbrush.

      • Susan

Can you explain this?  I have this coupon, but the toothbrush was priced (I thought) like $8.29 minus the $2.25 coupon and $3 ecb, still not free.  What am I doing wrong?

        • mrn1

The Oral B Proflex Toothbrush is $5.79.  Confirm your price at the red box.  After using the $2.25 coupon and the $1 toothbrush red box coupon, I paid $2.54 ($3.06 with tax) and got back a $3 ECB.
The Crest ProHealth Clinical mouthwash 473 ml was on sale for $5.49.  After using the $3 Vocalpoint coupon and the $1 mouth rinse red box coupon, I paid $1.49 ($1.98 with tax) and got back a $3 ECB.  Total for these two items was $5.04 with tax and got back $6 ECBs total.   HTH :)

Had several interesting experiences at CVS over the past 2 days. I got the revlon deal $4 ECB wyb $10.00 of makeup. After the purchase I noticed the receipt showed I could still get the deal again. The ad said limit one. I called the 800 number and they said it was a month long deal. Yay! It goes well with the $2 off face product Q I have and redbox $3 off $10.00 cosmetic purchase…Also found cramp 911 product 75% off at $2.74 with a $2.00 Q attached to each one! They were reg $10.99 each! The redbox also printed another $1.00 off Q for toothbrush..Good day at CVS!

Why do they do ECBs for a $25 purchase but make all the items $7.99? Kinda sneaky if you ask me, since you can’t actually make a purchase that’s $25.  Three items would be $24 and four items is $32…  Which isn’t that great of a deal…

      • ericswifeowensmom

There is unadvertised skintimate and edge shave gel for 2.29 towards that deal as well. Hth

What is a stock up price on laundry detergent per ounce?

      • lil A’s mom

For Tide/Gain/Method I try to shoot for $0.10 per load.  Many other brands can be had for $0.05 per load (All/A&H) or even less (Purex).

Because I have been receiving weird totals in my Beauty Club acct, I need some feedback: If I pruchase $15 of a beauty item, use a $3 off manufacturer coupon, a $2 store coupon (from the redbox) and get $5 Extra Care bucks back, how much of this $15 purchase should I expect to see credited to my Beauty Club account?

      • Sheila_P

You should see $15 credited to your Beauty Club account after about 48 hours.  It doesn’t add immediately.  If you’re going to CVS multiple times a week, it can get hard to keep track of.  I generally just trust that mine is right.  Every once in a while I add it up and it comes up how it should.

CVS red box gives  me the following coupons ( 1 off any toobrush , 1 off any mouth rinse )
I could be able to get  free Colgate toothbrushes and Crest rinse ( small size 8fl oz ) this week .
Colgate toobrush Optic white on sale 2.99 – 1 crt from  red box paid 1.99 got back 2 ecb .
Crest rinse on sale 3.99 – 1 crt from red box  paid 2.99 got back 3 ecb . This is good way for me to recycle my ecb about to expire soon .
